What's good everybody? Welcome back to Body Cam Vibes. Back with another body cam video I'm going to react and discuss to today. Shout out to Uncovered. I love their videos as well. Go check their videos out on their channel. Uh I had to do this. Um the original title made me want to do this video. So I I want to get into it. But let me say this first. I have something important that I want to ask on another video. So, if y'all can stick around to the end of the video and wait on my question, that would be greatly appreciated. All right, let's get into it and see what this all about. >> October 26th, officers responded to Illinois State University and identified the suspect using info from the delivery driver's Uber app. >> Hello, Destiny. >> Yeah. >> Hi, I'm Officer Law with the ISU Police Department. >> Okay. What's up? >> I need to speak to you about uh something that happened right outside the doors. >> Yeah, come on. >> Okay. Come in here. >> Yeah, come in. Okay. >> You said what? >> Okay, sounds good. >> The officer steps inside to speak with the suspect where she explains her side of the story. >> Okay. >> Well, I just want to know what happened. >> So, >> positive contact. >> Um, I ordered some food >> and the guy he first of all, he went all the way around. My do my dot is said Birch Hall, not Cypress in Birch Hall. >> Okay. >> He sat in front of in front of Birch Hall. He said, "Um, I'm here." I said I text him. >> Mhm. >> I said, "I set your location to where you supposed to be at." I'm in Birch Hall, not Cypress. He said, "Why didn't you put Birch Hall here?" I'm like, "Okay, cool." I go outside. I'm literally just like this. I got my bra, no bra, no panties on, nothing. He tells me, "You have to come get this food." I said, "Who the are you talking to? You not talking to me like that." So, I go back inside. I get my um I get my ID and my um and my uh my robe. And I go inside. He said, "Um, yeah, you got to come get this before. I'mma throw your [ __ ] on the ground. I said, "Are you okay? Why you stop talking to me like that?" So, I threw some water in his car and I got my [ __ ] >> You threw some water at his car? >> Yes, I did. >> And this guy, was he like a younger guy? >> No, I got I got I literally have everything. I screenshotted. I reported him. I got everything. This is him. A old ass man. And I >> What do you think he was? >> I don't know. >> He old. He had a uh the What is it when you sit in the handicap thing in his car? So, he got to be old. >> Okay. like above 60 probably >> in his 50s. I don't know. I really don't know. But I see I seen the great big >> Okay. And he's a Uber driver. >> Yeah. A Uber Eat. That's why I don't This is my first time using Uber Eats. >> Okay. >> That's why I don't use Uber Eats because of this specific reason. Don't tell me you going to throw my [ __ ] and tell me come get my food because you're you're at the wrong building. You're at the wrong building. But I reported on them. >> You reported them? >> So, I'm going to read you something off this card. Okay. Doesn't mean you're going to jail or getting arrested or anything like that. I just have to read this before I ask you any like direct questions. Okay. It's called your Miranda warning. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish. >> Do you understand those? >> Okay. Do you have any questions about those? >> No. >> No. Okay. So, I had the male um he came into the police department. I know. Okay. >> I seen his thing. Yeah. >> You saw a slang? >> No, he he never ended his Uber Eats thingy. So, I seen him at the thingy. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> He came into the police department and he reported, you know, pretty much essentially the same thing that you did. >> Mhm. >> Where >> I threw water at his car. >> Well, I know it wasn't water. >> It was water. I mean, that's not my cup. That it was I thought it was water in the cup, but that wasn't my cup. Okay. >> I just grabbed the first thing and I just >> It wasn't water. Okay. It smelt like it had alcohol in it. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I don't drink. >> You don't drink? >> No, I smoke, but I don't drink. >> You You smoke, but you don't drink. >> I can't drink. >> Okay. Well, it was something fruity. It smelled like it had a little bit of something in it. Whose cup was it? Is it >> It was a Subway cup in my room. It was homecoming like a long time ago. I had a party in my room. Okay. People come my room drinking and [ __ ] like that. >> The suspect remains dismissive about the situation and refuses to take any blame for her actions. But y'all know I do my little pause. So, how y'all feeling initially? I like to ask that like because when y'all leave comments, how do y'all feel already? Do y'all think she's lying? I I see some lying in her eyes about some about the stuff. So, y'all let me know. How do y'all feel about the situation initially? All right, let's get back into it. >> Kind of smelled like alcohol. >> So, it had to be alcohol in it. >> Okay. >> It was a big cup. I know. >> Yeah. He said there was this little like kind of thing. He said he was joking about the uh >> No. Oh, >> well, it's just what he said. I'm not saying it's the truth, right? >> He said he said, "You need to come get this [ __ ] out this car. Get your out this car." I said, "Who are you talking to? You don't talk to you mad because you get wrong?" >> Mhm. >> You said, "I need to come get this [ __ ] out this car." >> That's not You don't joke. >> You guys had a little bit of a disagreement. Yeah. >> You eventually went out to the car, grabbed the food, >> and then threw whatever the liquid was at him. >> He called me a [ __ ] too. >> Okay. So, you threw it >> where I'm from. I don't You threw it like kind of in the window. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, chances are it probably hit him. >> Yeah. >> I I don't know. >> Okay. Well, Destiny, there is like some criminal charges for that. >> How is that? is why it's it's like I don't >> so >> okay you got me >> he that all that joking thing that that I don't I don't play like that me when you when that's interpreted to this that's the wrong thing I interpret it as you're being you tell me you going to throw my [ __ ] on the ground and then when I asked him I went up to the car you going to throw my ground he said give me a fool so I can throw it on the ground that's joking that's that's joking >> well I don't know what was said that I'm just saying what you said you did there are criminal charges to okay okay so go ahead turn Turn around. Put your hands behind your back for me. >> Let me call my cousin. >> That's not a hold on. >> No, let me I got >> understand it's not a hold on thing. If you resist, you'll be another charge will be added. >> Can you keep this thing? >> Illinois 178. >> I'm trying not get these bracelets caught up in the cuffs. >> Uh we'll just wait here for a second. Okay. >> Give me one second. >> We're just a phone call right now. >> Do you have a driver's license or state ID? Uh, I have I have that. I mean, it's in my It's still in my purse. I can't get nothing. >> Yeah. Okay, that's okay. I'll get a couple pieces of information from you. >> How long is this going to take? How long? >> Not very long. >> Like, how many hours? >> Shouldn't be very long. >> Okay. Can Okay, before y'all do that, I do start a shift at Subway at 8:00. Would you mind going up there and telling my coworker that I'm not coming subway? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, we can do that for you. >> What was your last name? >> Yogurt. Can y'all just go up there? Cuz they don't they don't answer. >> I can go up there. I'll be able I'll be able to go up there. This is yours, right? >> Okay. Hold on. Let me call one more person. >> So, I'm going to tell you come in my room with me so I can put on some socks and a bra pants. >> It's really It's not going to be >> Can you come downstairs? They They taking me to jail right now. >> Can you come downstairs? They're taking me to jail because thising Uber. He dropped the water in his pocket. He disrespected >> head criminal charges. >> We're going to take your >> Would you mind giving her my phone, please? >> You don't want your phone? >> No, I'm okay. I mean, if I'm coming right back, I mean, it don't matter. >> Yeah. >> Well, you might have to call somebody once you get released. >> Who can I call? >> Like call for a ride or something like that. So, you're going to you're probably going to need your phone. Okay. >> No, you could just leave it here. You can just leave my phone, honestly. >> Okay. >> You go inside and get my student ID so I get back in the building. You can leave my phone. It's okay. We're gonna take it'll be with you. >> No, no, >> no, that's okay. >> Once we get to the car, I'll explain your charges. Okay. >> Okay. But he's in there. >> He should be in the back. Just go in the back. He should be in there. >> Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah. Is it a male that I'm supposed to be talking to? >> Yeah. His name is Joe. He should already be >> he the only person >> she's going to jail >> like the I think the >> Yeah, but she's going to be let out. >> The the man. You remember where they >> Yeah, >> the man one. >> 104 West Front Street in Bloomington. >> Can you tell she can come get me? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> 104 West Front Street. >> Yes, ma'am. And then just watch the parking curb so you don't fall. >> You don't know when I won. Uh, >> are you going to want a female come searcher? >> Yeah. >> Can you call MPD? See if they have a female on you for a custodial search. So, we'll put you in the car just for now because I don't want you getting too cold out here. >> I do. Just get out the shower. >> Okay. So, if you want to go ahead, just step in. Yeah. Just watch your head. >> How do I >> in the parking lot in front of Birch Hall? It's going to be the west entrance. Cardinal Court. >> Yep. Just like that. Yep. >> Okay. I'm not going to buckle you in right now because there's going to be a female coming over. Uh, okay. So, I'm going to explain to you your charges. Okay. Uh, I understand like once I say them, you might disagree with them. Uh, also another thing just real quick, everything in here is audio video recorded. Okay. Um, I understand when I say them, you might not agree with them. Just let me get through them first. Uh, so the first charge is aggravated battery. Okay. Whenever you disperse a liquid onto somebody, it's a battery. Uh, because this is a public way. It's open to the public. It's an aggravating factor. Due to his age, it's an aggravated factor. And due to his job, it's also an aggravated factor. Okay? So, like an Uber driver, taxi driver, or anything like that, that can be an aggravated factor. Okay. Uh, another is criminal damage to property. >> Mhm. >> I understand that might not sound like very accurate to you right now because of that liquid might damage the interior of his car. That's why that's being charged. Another one is disorderly conduct. >> What's that? >> Okay. That's when anybody is alarmed or disturbed by your actions. >> Who was alarmed or disturbed? >> He said he was alarmed or disturbed. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. So, those are the three charges that you're going to be going uh to jail for today. It doesn't mean that you're convicted of those charges. It means I'm charging you with those. Okay. >> No, I understand. I understand. >> Okay. I just like to be transparent, that's all. Okay. So, I'll shut this door for right now. Uh it's going to take a second for the female to get here probably and then she'll take you out and do a custodial search of you. >> Okay. I'm just >> And then I'm going to shut it so I don't want to hit your elbow or anything. >> Can you push this in my rope? >> Push one caught in the door. >> Oh yeah. >> Try to get out here like Yep. There you go. >> The suspect was arrested on the charge of simple battery. Let us know your thoughts on this video in the comments and be sure to subscribe for more body cam footage. >> All right. You know, it started off a little different. It started off a little different. She was not trying to own up to the, you know, a little bit like saying that it was lickering. It was just I didn't know it was liquor, all that stuff like that in the beginning. That's why I asked y'all what were y'all initial thoughts uh when she when I first paused the video. But I I got I got to give her credit. She didn't act ghetto or ratchet. She was she was a little dis dismissive and a little bit uh lying about she know was in that cup. I ain't try to play. You know what's in that cup. But I gotta admit, she didn't get her a ratchet. And you see you see you see people. You see how that she asked the cop, can you go to my job and tell the people blah blah blah. The cop said, yeah, I got you. You know what I'm saying? She was a little little resistant, just a little bit, but she handled it well. And the cop talked to her, cordial. He had to do his job. And you know what I'm saying? He he he he going to go on there and say, "Well, you know, she she was a little apprehensive." But all in all, she handled it well. That little good in your favor. But no, some people can't be that way. Some people got to be you doing this cuz I'm black. Got to keep on going on blah blah blah blah blah. That makes that make cops angry. I love the way she handled herself in the end. I hope she learned from this mistake and do better. But let me say this though. I get it. Listen now. Listen. I I look at things two ways. I get it. Nobody likes disrespect. I wish I could see the full story. I wish they had some cameras where I can see the full thing because I want to see that that the guy Uber driver really say this and I want to see how she really act towards him. Everybody always tell their side, but they don't tell their side. You get what I'm saying? Everybody always tell No, let me let me rephrase that. Everybody always tell a side, but they don't tell their side. That's Let me rephrase that better because nobody wants to admit guilt. They don't want to be held accountable. I'm the kind of person, yeah, I did this blah blah blah blah. I'm telling you the truth. That guy could have been had a nasty attitude uh for many different reasons. She could be telling the truth on that end about him being disrespectful. Come get this goddamn food and blah blah blah blah blah. I kind of believe that cuz some of these drivers are [ __ ] Kind of believe. But here's the thing, young lady. Words should just be words. You should not you should not take it upon yourself to get so upset that you're going to throw something on this man. I believe in an eye for an eye. If he's coming at you trying to fight you, trying to hurt you and you threw something or you fight back, that's defense. That's different. But if this man just calling you bees and and throwing and not throwing stuff at you, he not physically trying to harm you. What would make you go inside and throw some water on him or lick or whatever on that? Why would you do that, man? Just calm your ass down. Get your food. You ain't got to never deal with this man again. We got to stop being so tenderhearted and and and sensitive. People have called me all kind of stuff. And I have suck it up. I was like, "Oh, okay. I know who I am." You know what I'm saying? I You can call me fat. You can call me I People have called me the N-word. I be like, "Oh, okay. I know who I am." At the end of the day, words should not hurt us. We should We should have a defense. I know it sounds bad. But if somebody trying to attack you or going for you, yes, that's when you be defensive. You said, "I ain't going for this. Hold up. I'm throw this water on. He trying to hurt me. He's trying to fight me." But you don't have the right to throw no water on nobody just because they say something to you or they make you mad or just just because they disrespect you. Yes, it was disrespectful, but he ain't putting no hands on you, though. What if this man would have clapped back when you threw water on him and unalived you and and and poured you? You getting what I'm saying? Y'all y'all don't think Get out of your goddamn anger all the time and get out of your foolish ways. That man could have clapped back at the old man cuz old men don't play. That old man could have shot your ass. Excuse me. No, I had to say it. and you would have been gone over some food, some Uber food because you felt disrespected. I know. I understand. I don't like nobody talking [ __ ] to me. But man, get out y'all feelings sometimes. Especially females, man. Y'all just y'all get in y'all feelings and somebody say something to you and then her. Now, let's be real. Her being black, he was probably a white guy and she probably got offended by that. I don't want no old ass white man cussing me out. I ain't no So, this ain't slavery days and all that. She probably got offended. I think he I think they said he's a white guy. And then with these young generation, they just feel like you not go you're not going to intimidate me. I would I would have came and got my food. I probably would have said a little something. I'm like, man, you need to be more respectful to people next time. You know what I'm saying? I would have said that, but I won't throw no water on a man, especially he ain't trying to hurt me. Man, I'm telling you, man. Get out your feelings. Just calm down. That's all I got to say about this situation. Y'all come to the comments and let me know what y'all think. Okay, this is what I had to say. Um, we want to do some of these videos without our commentary like EWU and Midwest Safety and Uncovered without us commentary. We just want to get these videos ourself ourself for the count from the counties, but they're expensive. So, I was thinking, should I do a dollar membership? If we almost got 8,000 subscribers, if 50% of of the people join our membership or something like that, we can we can get these videos. But I don't want to do the whole channel with without commentary. We're still going to do the commentary and discussions of other people content, but I at least want one or two videos a month that I can just do, but I want it to be great. I want it to be like EWU worthy, unpopular, and all that stuff like that. I I want it to be I want to get some cases that's going have y'all thinking that's going to be in depth and y'all can just come and comment on. That's what I want. But they're very expensive. I didn't know they got to redact the stuff. They got to take the cuss words out. They got so much to do. And so they trying to charge you high. And you know, we we we do we do basically well on this channel. The this channel's pay bills, but we ain't rich. So it's kind of hard to pay pay your bills and do other things and get all these videos. So I'm I want to know, should I start a membership up or should I put a cash app up or something like that? So, I just my fans just send me a dollar so I can get these videos. You know, I was just thinking that because I want to get at least two videos a month that's just regular and we don't commentate on y'all. Just y'all just come watch the video and we not in the side view. That's what I was thinking and we really appreciate it. I don't like to ask for stuff. I don't want to see like I'm begging because that's that's not what I am. That's not what we do. We really actually love doing these things. But if I could afford it, I would get these videos and we won't be doing no commentary. We'll just be doing the videos regular. You know, we'll do our little editing, but they are very expensive to get. So, y'all let me know in the comments below. I might put a poll up. But thank y'all for being here. Thank y'all for the love supporting this channel. We really appreciate it. Until next time, don't get caught slipping on camera.
