If you want to see the full police report charges and what's happening with this case now, the link in the description is updated regularly so you can always check what's new. Now, let's begin the video. >> Hey, good evening. How are you? Pat McRoy with the Holland Police Department. Can I just get your license, registration, insurance? >> Here you go, sir. >> Thank you so much, miss. I appreciate it. >> No problem. >> Where you coming from tonight? >> Um, I'm coming from Point Pleasant. I'm on my way to my father's house. >> Gotcha. Um, just so you know, you're being video recorded. Okay. The reason I stopped you is while you're in the left lane. Well, firstly, I see you're from Pennsylvania, but I know in New Jersey the left lane's like a travel uh not a traveling lane. It's like a passing lane. It's like a parkway almost. So, you have to travel in the right lane. >> Oh. >> So, it's like that. And then you're also driving 29 and a 45 or actually you got down to a 27 and a 45. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Mhm. >> Did you have anything to drink? I do smell some alcohol coming out of the vehicle. >> No, I did honestly. I had a glass of wine. Okay. Okay. All right. Just one glass. >> Yes, sir. >> How long ago was that? >> Maybe about an hour ago. >> Okay. All right. What were we doing in Point Pleasant? Anything good? >> I was visiting my brother. He My brother lives in Point Pleasant. >> Gotcha. Okay. All right, miss. I'll be right back with you. Okay. Do you have any problems with your license? >> No, sir. >> Okay. The only thing I'm going to do is I'm just going to take this stuff out just so I don't have to take this back to my car. Okay. I >> understand, sir. >> All right. There you go. You can take this piece of plastic back. I'll be right back if you miss me. Okay. Great. Can you turn Hey, miss. If you don't mind, do you mind just stepping outside of your car right over here? I'm just going to run you through some tests, okay? Make sure you're good to drive home. >> All righty. Yep. We're just going to go on the sidewalk over here. Okay. [Applause] >> All right. We're going to go right here. I just want to make sure. Uh >> Okay. So, like I said, the car does smell like alcohol. >> Uhhuh. >> Okay. I know you said you have one glass of wine. >> Yes. >> I just want to run you through some tests to make sure you're good to drive home. >> Okay. >> All right. Cuz where where did you say you're headed to? >> I'm headed to Asbury Beach. >> You're heading to Asbury Park. >> Yes, sir. >> Why are you coming this way? >> Cuz my brother I visited I was actually >> You said you're at Point Pleasant, right? >> Yes. >> Asbury Park's that way. I was going to take 34 straight down. >> You're going to take what? >> 34. >> 34 is all the way down. >> This is 3. This is 36. >> Okay. But it hits 34. >> Okay. Um, so before we start, um, what's your highest level of education? >> I have a master. >> Uh, master's degree. Okay, great. So, you know the English alphabet. I know it sounds dumb. I'm not going to have you say it backwards or anything like that. I can't even say it backwards. Can you say from A to Z without singing it? Like A B C D and continue all the way to Z. >> Yes. >> You can start whenever you're ready. Okay. >> A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S W H. >> You want to try one more time? >> A B C D E F G H I G H I N Z. >> Okay. All right. Great. Okay. Okay. So, before we start this these next couple tests, do you have any problems with your legs? >> No. >> No. All right. So, what all we're doing is walking and we're going to do a little bit of balancing. Okay. And I'm going to demonstrate every test for you. >> Okay. Um I'm going to explain them. If you have any questions, wait till the end and I'll be happy to answer them. All right. Um so, the first test I'm going to run you through is called the walking turn. Okay? From here, I'm going to put you in a starting position. Now, just stay in that starting position until I tell you to move. Okay? Cuz while you're in that position, I'm going to demonstrate the test. So, you're going to put your right foot in front of your left foot. You can do that right now. Keeping your hands down to your sides. All right. Uh, just Yeah. heel to toe. Okay. Uh, take your hands out of your pockets for me and just keep them down to your side. Okay. All right. So, from this position, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps. You're going to count each step out loud. Okay. >> Keeping your hands down to your side. Just making sure every step's heel to toe. So, it's going to look just like this. One, two, three. I'm doing three for demonstration purposes, but I want you to do nine. Okay. Now, once you hit that nine step, you do a series of short steps just like this. Back to that starting position. And once you get back to that starting position, you do the same thing back. Nine heel toe steps, counting each step out loud, keeping your hands on your sides. Okay? So, let's go just like this. One, two, three. I'm doing three for demonstration purposes, but I want you to do nine. Okay? Do you understand those uh instructions? Uh, yes I do. >> Okay, you can begin whenever you're ready. All right. >> Starting at one. >> Y. >> Okay. One, two. I'm nervous. It's >> okay. >> Two. Three. Four. Five. I'm nervous. Yep. 6 7 8 9 >> You said nine, right? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay, so nine. >> Okay, >> stop. Uh, you got to you got to turn back around in uh >> 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. >> All right, miss. I'm I'm going to redmonstrate this test one more time for you. Um, again, any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. Okay. Um, so again, just put your right foot in front of your left foot and keep your hands on your sides. Okay? So you can do that right now. Now, just stand like that until I tell you to move. Okay? So again, from this position, uh, just stay like that with your right foot in front of your left. Perfect. Yep. Stay right there. All right. Now, from this position again, I want you to take nine heel totoe steps. I want you to count each step out loud. Okay? Oh, yeah. Just don't start yet. Don't start yet. I'm going to redmonstrate it just so you could All right. So, you're going to do nine heel totoe steps. You're going to count each step out loud. Okay? So, it's going to look just like this. You're in the starting position. It's going to be like one, two, three. I'm doing three for demonstration purposes, but I want you to do nine. Okay? Now, once you hit that ninth step, I want you to do a series of short steps just like this. Turning around. All right. Now, once you turn around, you get back to that starting position. You're going to do nine more heel to toe steps. And you're going to count each step out loud. Okay? So, it's going to look just like this. One, two, three. Again, I'm doing three for demonstration purposes, but I want you to do nine. Count each step out loud, keeping your hands on your sides. Make sure each step's heel to toe. Okay? >> So, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1 2 >> 3 >> three. Just hold off on that. >> 5 6 7 8 9 >> All right, miss. Uh I'm going to do it one more time for you, okay? Cuz I don't I want to make sure you're understanding it. So again, just get in that starting position for me one more time if you don't mind. So just put your right foot in front of your left foot. Hands on your sides, >> right? >> Yep. Stay right there. Yep. Absolutely. So again, you're going to do that nine heel to toe steps. You're going to count you each step out loud. Okay. Going straight. All right. Keep your hands on your side. So again, one, two, and three. >> Once you hit that ninth step, you're you're going to turn around. >> Turn around. >> Okay, you're going to turn around and do nine more heel to toe steps, counting each step out loud, keeping your hands on your sides. Okay, >> so it's going to look just like this. One, two, three. I'm doing three for demonstration purposes, but I want you to do nine. Again, remember nine here. >> Nine back. Keeping your hands down to your sides, counting each step out loud, heel to toe. Okay. All right, miss. You can start whenever you're ready. Three. >> Five. 6 7 8 9 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 >> All right, miss. Great. You can turn around for me. Okay. Um, so I'm going to run you through another test. Okay. It's called the one leg stand. >> Okay. This is a balance thing. Um, foot of your choosing, left or right. I know my left angle is a little bit weaker than my right, so I always use my right foot. Okay. I kind of plan it because I'm more confident like that. All right. So, that being said, I'm going to use my right foot. I'm going to put it 6 in above the ground. Okay. >> Okay. And you're going to leave it parallel to the ground. Okay. So, while you're doing this, uh, do you mind just putting your flashlight on me? >> Sure. >> Um, so while you're doing that, keeping your hands on your side just like me. Uh, just don't sew until I tell you to. Okay. So, keep your hands on your sides. You're going to raise it 6 in above the ground, just like this, flat to the ground, parallel. While looking at your toe, you're just going to count out loud. 1 1,00 2 1,00 3 1,000 4 100,000 5 1,000. And you're going to continue to count to 30 until I tell you to stop. Okay. >> Okay. >> You do 30 seconds of that. Okay. >> Do you understand the test? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. Miss, you can begin whenever you're ready. All right. One 100 1,00 2 100 3 100 4 100 5 100 6 100 uh 7 1 Um 8 100,000 9 100 11 100 12 100 uh 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 and 20. >> Okay. Okay, Miss >> Are you Are you being honest with me with one glass of wine? >> Yes, officer. I don't I Republican so I don't lie. >> Whether you're a Republican, Democrat, independent, that doesn't matter to me. >> I You're right. You're >> I don't even I don't even care what you are. That doesn't bother me. >> Just you're soizing, so I get it. >> We're going to have another officer come one more test on you. >> Okay. >> All right. >> So, that being said, we're going to wait a couple more minutes. >> Okay. >> And then we'll see what we're going to do from there. Okay. >> I understand, officer. Um, where are you at? Point Pleasant. >> At my brother's house. >> Gotcha. And you're head to Asbury. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. All right. [Applause] >> Yeah. >> Need one glass of wine? >> Yes, please. Okay. I don't know. >> Again, I'm not not calling you a liar. >> You're doing your job and I get it. there >> and I have no problem just stuck in >> where in uh where in Pennsylvania you from >> um South Philadelphia. >> Oh, okay. >> You're like an Eagles fan and everything. >> Not really. >> It's good. >> I'm a native jersey. >> Okay. >> You know, I represent the Giants >> Philly. I got you. I got you. >> You know, I kind of, you know, weighed my options. >> Absolutely. Where uh where in Jersey you from? Point Pleasant. No, from Belmont. Yeah. >> Grew up on the beach, huh? >> Yep. I'm a NATO. So, >> awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. >> Awesome. That's good. >> I'm a NATO. >> That's good. >> But with the economy, >> it's expensive here. It is expensive here. Absolutely. Like, the economy is absolutely. And of course, my family is still here, but I have to move there. So, >> well, you know what? You're not you're not too far away. What is it? 2 hours hour and a half. >> Yeah, pretty much. But you know, so that's not bad at all. >> 15 minutes. >> Not bad. You can still make family gatherings or everything. >> Exactly. And that's why I actually intended to move to Florida, but my daddy is still elderly. Okay. >> So this is why I'm always, you know, in his house. You know, he's elderly, so he still need my help. So the only reason I didn't make the big jump. >> Yeah, absolutely. >> So I'm in between. So >> where'd you uh go to college at? Would you get your masters? >> Oh, sweet. >> You're local. Very local. Absolutely. >> So I know the ins and outs. I know the regulations. Gotcha. I'm Got >> I'm a custom. >> I got you. What do you uh what'd you go to school for? >> Psychology. >> Oh, sweet. >> I'm actually a therapist. So, >> sweet. Sweet. >> So, this is why, you know, I don't mind. >> Gotcha. So, uh Officer Hoffman's here. Um and she's going to run you through one more test. >> Okay. >> And then, uh you know, we'll get you through this. Okay. Uh Alex, you mind just uh Yep. >> Hey, how are you? Um, Car Ree, her tests were awful. >> Okay. >> Um, just to have like the extra, you know. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> But, uh, yeah. So, she's going to Asbury Park from Point Pleasant and she was coming this way. >> Okay. >> So, yeah. Little >> Hi, how are you? Officer, >> how you doing, officer? >> Good. Any contact in your eyes? No. Okay. Um, so if she is going from >> She's going to 34, which >> it doesn't go to 30. 36 doesn't go to 34. >> She's how many miles away from here? Um, I don't know. >> 12 15 say like 10 at least. And she had to come this way. I think she's raspberry. It's further south. So, so whether she missed her uh exit. Yeah, I'd say missed her exit and it came up here. >> Um >> yeah, so her her test alone. >> Yeah, like I said, her brother is in her dad is in the closest. Yeah. Yeah. like like her alphabet. She she said she had a master's degree. Her alphabet couldn't get it right. God, it wasn't. Yeah. Um couldn't I gave her twice to turn off the Yeah, I gave her two times to do it. Um obviously her walking turn was just abysmal. I don't know why my stand was uh backwards. Yeah. >> Yeah. I've had it a couple times, but not usually after the first time I redmonstrate it. Like, oh, usually people just miss that step. Well, I don't know how, but some people do or something. >> There's still very smell. I smell it on her when we were standing over near her. I can definitely smell it. Very strong. Very respectful mountain burrito. I got like a half left. >> All right, miss. >> Yes, sir. >> Uh, can you turn around for me? >> Oh, sure. >> Thank you. All right. So, as right now, you're going to be placed under arrest for the suspicion of driver intoxicated. Okay. >> Actually, >> is there three on? >> I'm sorry. >> Is there you guys have three on or Okay. >> Okay. You need to lock. >> Yeah. Do you mind? >> All right. The car reached. She was in Point Pleasant at her brother's house. Then she said that she was going to Asbury Park and I tried to explain to her I'm like, "Miss, like it's it's 10 mi the opposite direction at minimum." She said she's going to 34 and taking 34 down, but 34 doesn't hook up to 36. From what I remember, it hooks up to 18. >> Yeah. In the parkway. So, >> yeah. >> You know, so I I don't really know what she's doing. >> Oh. >> Oh, look at that. Can't see the person. Okay, >> those are her keys.
