How many times have I asked you to leave my property? >> Uh, a couple times. >> Okay. Why are you still on my property? >> Because I got to explain to you why we're here. >> I am telling you to get the my property. You do not have a right just because you have a badge and a gun. Do you understand that if you violate my constitutional rights that you lose your qualified immunity? >> Yep. >> If you didn't have an ego, you guys might actually be honorable men. You're not welcome here anymore. You've been officially trespassed. Get the my land. Two police officers came to a man's home to deliver a trespass warning requested by his neighbor. The man immediately took control of the encounter, acknowledged the warning, and stated clearly that he would not return to the neighbor's property. Instead of issuing the notice and leaving, the officers remained on his private property despite visible no trespassing signs. The man repeatedly ordered them to leave, formally trespassed them, and warned that their continued presence was unlawful. When the officers still refused to go, he personally walked them out toward the gate, continued ordering them off the property, and closed his gate behind them, making it clear their authority ended at his property line. >> Yeah. Not being a peacekeeper, how many times have I asked you to leave my property in the last two minutes, sir? >> Hey, John. >> Name and badge number first. >> Hey, real quick. >> Name and badge number. She asked you to leave and you left. Correct. >> She didn't ask me to leave. I left. I actually got up and stopped the conversation. >> We're curious. We want to get your side of the story >> and figure out what's going on. >> So, so, but here's where we're at. So, she's saying that I guess the conversation I don't really know. Escalated a little bit. >> No, it just >> So, she doesn't want you back on our property anymore. She's never asked me that, but that's fine. I can't answer any questions, including >> Well, you're not under [clears throat] arrest, so >> Well, you're saying that you're making it out as though a criminal trespass. >> No, sir. >> Hold on. You don't pay my salary. >> I pay my own salary, too. Thank you. >> Sure. So, we're going to fill this out and you don't have to sign even have to look at it. >> I'm sure you're right. >> But I'm going to leave it right there and you can acknowledge it if you want to acknowledge it. >> Doesn't matter [clears throat] to me. But if you go back over there after today, >> you don't need to tell me what a criminal trespass is. I'm aware of what >> there you're going to go to jail. >> I don't care. I won't I won't ever have anything to do with again. >> I got to do my job and >> you do your job. >> But your job requires you to respect my rights and to get my property. It doesn't require >> I am telling you to get the my property. You do not have a right just because you have a badge and a gun. It's not a crown. Get the my property. Leave it at the gate. When they ignored repeated lawful orders to leave, the homeowner took action, personally escorted them off his property, and closed his gate on them.
