that had a plate for your vehicle on it yesterday whatever your plate is bhy glad to see the car is still here I only work two days a week so it's mostly just were you over by Sunset Car Wash around 9 30 10 o'clock last night no when's the last time you drove this car I only work on uh Friday nights a sentence the morning I just worked on Sun Drive so you haven't driven the car since Sunday morning okay um yeah so that's the tag why is it in here this is my new tag okay and uh well I mean I'm sitting right in here and the old license plate that stone so now whenever I'm mad when did your tank get sold maybe a couple of weeks ago okay I reported it so you didn't report it so long yeah I mean I went to the um how long ago that's okay a couple of weeks something like that it's very recently uh so you said you went to the licensing to get the new tag s two three code four checks again the reason we're here obviously is because of the tag um so like it was either this vehicle or a vehicle that looks like substantially similar to this vehicle so I'm assuming that they partly in my car because so if yeah you're saying somebody stole your license plate that's entirely impossible do you have any paperwork from licensing when you've got the new tag uh I mean I had the new like registration okay oh did you ever make a police report for the attack being stolen no I figured that was I mean this is just the new registration so yeah those are the issued this in December oh and they gave you the new plate did they give you anything else with it like any sort of paperwork I mean probably but look inside if I had any change you have a roommate that will want to borrowed your car um all right um I mean I can look for some paperwork if you uh so here's how this works at least the way I look at it so there's a reason we're here we follow these that doesn't mean you're guilty obviously you're not under arrest so if you really didn't do it one of the things I would like to do is prove you're innocent and eliminate you as a lead as part of this investigation so where were you between like nine and ten last night I Jason spend all my time in the room I mean my roommate was here okay I mean so between about nine and ten last night I'm asleep yeah I got up about uh midnight we both worked at night shifts where do you work at UH Home Depot okay doing like stocking or what yeah nice stuff in the Olympic Department so we have some label root of yeah so that's right over where this door this bird was at that Sunset Car Wash which is like the black over from Home Depot yeah uh is your roommate here maybe we just talked to him uh yeah okay so how many right here yep it's the uh the license plate because I don't want to get stolen again obviously I don't want to go down and pay 80 bucks for for another one am I is it okay to have no license plate on the cars just sitting here in case somebody wants to know yeah so this is private property right so if you want to sit your heart here with no license plate unless the property manager has a problem with that right I already talked to them yeah yeah yeah I appreciate you talking with us yeah we could talk to it's Tyler right yeah we can talk to Tyler that'd be great yeah if he's willing to talk to us that'd be outstanding so is that the plate that number was seen in the it was on the back of the car but he said his plate was stolen so he's saying this plate was stolen and he went to licensing to get a new plate okay so that's still the second of his stolen plate no he said he went and got a new one okay but he doesn't have a new ones correct okay and second one can you see the number good enough I mean it definitely looks like the same so nobody's riding around with his stolen plate I think so so the he said Home Depot and this is sunset yeah Car Wash yeah okay oh just Lowe's that's Lowe's yeah you're right okay well hi hey how are you doing yeah real quick all right there's a what's the license plate that's under your seat by the way here's the receipt for the license perfect thank you very much how you doing today buddies I'm good I'm about to go to bed I work nights hopefully we caught you before so two we have two plates before no this is the old license plate I did have two plates yeah right so which one got stolen the rear and this was on the front right this is yeah okay and so your do play is obviously different that's what you're saying so this was the one that came off the front of the car right okay that's fair uh were you home last night um [Music] a little bit before 10.
