I'm more than willing to fix them before
you're transported if you would like it
fixed.

>> All right. Watch your elbow, please.
>> Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy
sheriff, patrol sergeant, and canine
handler. I've participated in countless
warrant arrests during my time in law
enforcement, and they can definitely be
dangerous because sometimes some people,
depending on the situation, when they
hear that they are going to be arrested,
go to jail, and have their freedom taken
away from them, they can and will do
some pretty crazy dangerous things in
order to prevent that from happening.
Because with these types of situations,
it's always about overall safety. And
that is definitely going to be a
priority because like these officers
stated, they don't know if somebody else
is in the back room. They don't know if
she's going to try to escape or fight or
go grab a weapon. Law enforcement can't
just take people at their word in these
situations. Unfortunately, they always
have to expect the worst case scenario.
Therefore, it's also not practical to
escort her back into the room
unrestrained because again, they still
don't know if she's going to try to
fight, flee, or potentially grab some
sort of weapon or again if there is
somebody back there that would want to
assist her in escaping custody. And when
she decides to physically resist and not
go with the program, then she just added
another charge for really no good
reason. And it sounded like this warrant
wasn't that big of a deal to begin with.
She was charged with resisting a peace
officer and criminal damage to property,
but remains innocent until proven guilty
in a court of law.
>> Miles away, a husband ignores a court
order and clashes violently with the
deputies sent to stop him.
>> Down version, you guys throw a a paper
plane in the front of the house. Where
the is the front of the house? I don't
want to be the dumb that he runs from.
Is that another door?
Hi. How you doing?
How you doing?
Are you Roelio?
Are you Roelio? Close that door on me.
I'm going to drag you. I'm going to drag
you.
Still stay back up. Stop.
>> Okay, don't cut me.
>> TURN YOUR HAND.
>> TURN AROUND.
>> I'm not GOING AFTER HER. DON'T CUT ME.
>> PUT YOUR HANDS behind your back.
>> Don't cut me.
>> I got you got him on THE BACK.
>> DON'T CUT ME.
>> Do not cut me. I'm fine. Do not hold on
me. Okay. Roll on your side.
>> DO NOT CUT ME.
>> ROLL ON YOUR SIDE.
>> DON'T PUNCH ME.
>> ROLL ON YOUR SIDE.
>> DON'T PUNCH ME. DON'T PUNCH ME.
>> DON'T PUNCH ME.
>> DON'T PUNCH ME. DO NOT CUT ME. GO
>> ON YOUR SIDE THEN.
>> DO NOT PUNCH ME. Do not cut me. Do not
punch me.
>> Go on your side.
>> DO NOT PUNCH ME.
>> ROLL ON YOUR SIDE.
>> DO NOT I'M FINE.

>> Go inside. Put the cuffs on you. Do not

>> I DID NOT ATTACK HER.
>> YOU DID?
>> NO. I HEARD she can throw on the side of
the house. No,
>> your side. We're going to put you in

>> Can you do that?
>> Can I please just leave you alone for a

>> I'm not I'm not attacking anybody.
>> Sir, this is ridiculous.
>> No, this is A CHILD.

not read me my rights or done anything.

>> I haven't done anything wrong.
>> Over now.
>> If you're under arrest, over right now.
>> Why am I under arrest?

>> Back off.
>> My arm is OUT OF MY SOCKET. Guess I GOT
A BAD ARM.
>> WHAT WAS I TALKING?
>> Get in.
>> Put your feet in. The protected spouse
told deputies she felt threatened when
he shouted, "You" and tried to run
toward her. She confirmed the verbal
abuse, but declined to provide a written
statement at the time.
>> Yeah, we're going to serve him the
paperwork. Um, so he's not going to be
It's a removal, right? He's not going to
be allowed. He's not going to be allowed
back here unless he calls us. Um, we
have
>> he going to come here. I mean, I'm know
he going to trust he going to be out
there.
>> If he comes If he comes without us, just
give us a call again. He gets arrested
again. He violates his order of
protection. Simple as that. So he can
only
>> I thought he took the kids somehow
because that's what I'm sure you're
going to try to do take them out of the
state who you're going to try to
>> it's against the order as well. You get
the kids so anything happens with that
you just call the police.
>> Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy
sheriff, patrol sergeant and K9 handler.
So these officers are there to serve the
suspect with a domestic violence
restraining order with a moveout order.
Meaning that more than likely there was
a prior domestic violence incident. A
judge had reviewed that incident and
determined that it warranted the victim,
the suspect's significant other,
obtaining a restraining order preventing
him from being at that residence and
within her near vicinity, likely a no
contact. On top of that, that being
said, once these officers heard that
suspect turn and yell, "You," and start
to aggressively move toward his
significant other who was still inside
the residence, that is definitely a
major safety issue for her. and of
course an exigent circumstance allowing
these officers to enter into that
residence to try to stop that potential
threat. And when it comes to using a
taser with these types of situations,
it's always about the totality of the
circumstances, trying to affect the
rest, prevent escape, and overcome that
resistance, and trying to gain that
immediate compliance while mitigating
potential injury to all parties
involved.
>> He was charged with aggravated
resisting, obstructing a court order,
and disorderly conduct, but remains
innocent until proven guilty.
Yes.
