Let me introduce you to Devin Flanigan. You see, she's the assistant attorney general in Rhode Island. And last week, she got arrested for having a Karen meltdown. You see, she was willing to throw away her prestigious career just for her ego. Without further ado, let's get started. I want you to turn your body off. Protocol is that you turn it off. If the citizen requests it to turn it off, >> so they want you guys to leave. >> Yes. >> Let's just leave. Let's just make it easy. Okay. >> We're going to make it easy. That's not >> I am okay. Number two, let's leave. We got to go. We got to go. protocol is what the protocol is is if we ask you to turn the body cam off this >> I understand you don't want to deal with it but the protocol is and your protocol is if I ask you to turn off the body cam you have to turn it off and that's your protocol >> she's a [ __ ] lawyer so she knows >> well that's [ __ ] lawyer stuff so that's not true so we got to go >> no it is that's that's the law >> I'm an agent >> good for you I don't give a [ __ ] let's go >> so I have to give credit where credit is due sometimes Karens get preferential treatments. Last week, I made a video about this entitled Karen that knew the cops that were arresting her, and they spent 30 minutes pandering to her feelings. In this case, these cops do not care that she's the assistant attorney general, and they are going to treat her just like everybody else, which is exactly how it should be every single time. >> We're going Please don't put your hands on us. Can you get your children out of here? Like I don't know why. >> I'm sorry. What? >> Let's go. >> There are two full grown women and mother. >> I'm an A. >> I'm an AG. >> I'm an A. >> What are you What are you What's wrong with you? >> What are you probable cause to detain me for? Relax. >> Buddy, you're going to regret this. >> You're going to regret it. >> How many? You know that she's used to telling that to everyone that she encounters. I'm an AG. You need to bow to me and you need to treat me like a goddess. Well, it's not going to happen now, lady. It must have felt so satisfying to just slam the door in her face as she is telling him for the hundth time that she's an AG. Now, the news did pick up this story and they have a lot to tell in just a moment. You'll see what I'm talking about. It's very interesting how they debunked her lies. Take your hands off. >> We will get your license. >> Take your [ __ ] hands off. >> We will get the license. >> No. No. No. No. No. Get out of here. Get out of here. >> Get back. Get back right now. You're making You're overreacting. >> You're adding charms. >> You're overreacting. [ __ ] >> No. Please take my hands up. Please take something out of hand. No. Please overreacting. You didn't have this. You didn't have to have this happen. >> Get in the car. >> No. No. No. Babe, no. >> I'm right here. >> Get in, guys. Just put her in. >> Get back, bro. >> Get in the car. I'm right here. I'm right here. >> Get your feet in the court. >> No. >> Babe, I'm right here. >> No. >> No. >> Get your feet in the car. >> Who the [ __ ] are >> Put your feet in the car. >> You're a grown adult. You're acting like a kid. >> I'm right here. I'm right here. No. Who the [ __ ] are you? This is so inappropriate. >> You're You're overreacting. >> So, they wanted to trespass. They were just throwing a [ __ ] stick. >> Trevor, we've got two in. Now, the problem with these very powerful Karen is that they refuse to accept accountability. You know, I had a video removed this morning that had 600,000 views and the Karen didn't appreciate getting exposed for the piece of crap that she was. She took a picture of a woman as she was vomiting and then she got arrested. Now, because she's a lawyer, she was able to get the video removed. So instead of taking accountability, they rather erase the evidence of their crimes, which is disgusting. These are public records after all. Anyways, back to this AG Karen. The news picked up on it and they called her out for her misinformation when it comes to body cams. >> At 12 News has obtained body warn footage of a top state prosecutor's arrest last week. >> I want you to turn your body off. protocol is that you turn it off as a citizen. >> Newport police say special assistant attorney general Devin Flanigan faces a trespassing charge after she was asked to leave a restaurant Thursday night. But with Flanigan accusing police of not following protocol, we wanted to find out what the policy is for bodywn footage. Kate Wilkinson joins us live in studio with what she's learned. Yeah, Newport police defended keeping that body camera on, saying Flanigan was a suspect in a trespassing investigation, not a victim. Buddy, you're going to regret this. Yeah, >> you're going to regret it. >> Those were the parting words from special assistant attorney general Devin Flanigan as an officer put her in the back of a police cruiser. Police say they were called to Banister's Wararf because someone was refusing to leave the restaurant. When officers arrived, they found Flanigan and others outside. >> I'm an agent. >> Good for you. I don't give a Let's go. >> But before she was arrested for trespassing, Flanigan was asking the police officer to turn off his body camera. >> I want you to turn your body cam off. protocol is that you turn it off if a citizen request is to turn it off. >> Flanigan and another woman were arrested in the incident. When 12 News asked Newport police what their bodywn camera protocol is, a spokesperson wrote, "The individuals arrested were suspects in a trespass investigation, not victims or a witness." I also looked into the Newport Police on their website. there. It shows that the body camera can be turned off if a witness or victim requests it if the situation is not confrontational and if the victim agrees to cooperate. >> I'm an A. I'm an A. I'm >> the Attorney General's office says it's investigating the incident. We reached out to Flanigan for comment but did not hear back. Live in the studio, Kate Wilkinson, 12 News. >> So, obviously this is going to have smashing consequences on her career. Now, as we are talking about smashing, I do have a bonus clip for you guys, and it may or may not be sponsored by Safe Light, if you know what I mean. Check this out. >> Sorry. [Music] >> You do not consent. You do not wish to contract with me and you don't answer questions. All right. Hey, turn your vehicle off for me. [Music] Can I get 94? I got a sovereign citizen. >> Turn your vehicle off for me. >> 104. Ma'am, can you turn your vehicle off for me? All right. Listen to me. I know you don't answer questions, but you're going to listen to what I'm going to say. If you don't open the vehicle door and you step out and you turn the vehicle off, I'm gonna break the window and I'm gonna take you out of the vehicle and I'm gonna take you under arrest. >> Okay? You understand that if you don't comply with what I'm saying, you are going to go under arrest. >> Did I commit a crime? >> Yeah. 104. >> Like I said, 104. >> All right, one more chance. >> All right, I'm going to have her 10:15. I need 94 cuz she closed the windows on me. I'm going to break the window. I understand that. It's a female driver telling me that. And I'm going to break the window and take her under arrest. Step out of the vehicle. Step out of the vehicle. >> So, this is interesting because I indirectly promised you a window smashed and this lady opened her door. So, how is she going to get her window smashed when the officer can just snatch her out of there? Let's find out together. And let me just say that the officer would have been way better off taking this opportunity that is right in front of his eyes. >> No kidnapping. >> I'm not going to kidnap. >> I have a fee. >> Listen to me. No. >> Listen to me, ma'am. You're going about You're going about this the wrong way. >> You're just going to get a citation. You're about to go to jail for resisting. >> You understand? >> So, step out of the vehicle, >> ma'am. I don't want to use force against you. >> Please record your message. When you recording, you may >> I don't want to use force against you. You understand that, right? >> Ma'am. Okay. Turn your vehicle off, ma'am. Open your vehicle door. Open your vehicle door. >> Step out of the vehicle. I'm breaking the window. Open the vehicle door. >> You are under arrest at this point. You have no say. >> Open the vehicle door. >> Open the vehicle door. You're under arrest for resisting. Step out of the vehicle, ma'am. >> You are under arrest for resistance. Step out of the vehicle, ma'am. Now, I don't know what kind of SUV this is, but it is a very good commercial for the durability of the windows. Those things are nearly unbreakable. But you smash something long enough, eventually it's going to break. >> Step out of the vehicle. Step out of the vehicle. Step out. Step out of the vehicle. Yeah. Break it. fees for millions of dollars. You guys are going to be this hell. >> Step out of the vehicle or you're going to get tased. >> Step out of the vehicle or you're going to get tased. >> They're kidnapping me. >> Step out of the vehicle. You're >> kidnapping me. >> Step out of the vehicle. I don't want to hurt you. Step out of the vehicle and do what I say. Step out of the [ __ ] vehicle. Get behind your back. Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. >> You want to play games now? You're under arrest. >> You guys are sued as all. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> No crime. Yeah. >> What do you think? >> Simple as hell. You should have just complied. >> You guys are screwed. >> All right, ma'am. >> I'm going to help you. >> This is your last >> I'm going to have you step up. Clear our tent. [Music] Brand new car. You guys are [ __ ] >> See, you're under arrest for resisting and whatever else. I can see what's left on the vehicle. Um, your vehicle is going to get towed. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to talk to an attorney and have him her present with you before and doing questioning. >> Remember ladies and gentlemen, whatever you do in life, never go full softset. It is a one-way ticket to jail. You will never win that verbal judo. I don't understand why they think it's even worth the hassle to go full softset. There hasn't been a single instance on the internet where this works. So why do they think they'll be any different? I have no clue whatsoever. >> If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you at no cause before doing questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise his rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each other's rights that I explained to you? All right. got rescue coming to check your cuts and then after that going to jail she has about a license I don't know where it's at but >> unreal card >> all she was going to get was a citation cash cards and everything in that pretty legit. >> All right. >> I got several charges. I got resistant. >> I got failing to comply with law enforcement plus several citations. >> All right. All right. Yeah, we'll head out. >> Thank you guys. >> In the middle of the car wash when you call. >> Yeah. No worries. I'm like, >> "Yeah, no, you're good." >> It it escalated. I didn't want it to escalate that quick, but she didn't give me any choice and I couldn't see inside the car, so I was, you know, Yeah, I know. Like, I don't That's the three things that she told me. I'm like, >> you know, give me your license and whatever. >> All right. >> Where's my wife? Where did you kidnap her? >> What? >> Stay in the car and leave the traffic stop, please. >> Back up 25 ft for her. >> We're not We don't have to talk. Just go home. What? Nobody gave you permission to search that. >> Don't worry about it. >> Get out of the scene. That's fine. Get out of the scene and go home. >> Hey, I'm out of the scene right now, buddy. >> Yep, that's fine. You can record over there, across, wherever you want. >> I will. >> Just go home. >> I don't have to go home. Don't tell me what to do. >> Have a good day. >> All right. >> So, that's it for the video. I hope you guys enjoyed the show. If you did, make sure to subscribe and I'll see you guys on the next
