You are going to get an opportunity to provide a breath sample. Okay. >> I will gladly do it. >> You won't be able to do that until you get to the jail. >> Okay. >> Then what are all my options right now? >> So when we get to the jail, we'll discuss the rest of you not to get out of the car. >> Sir, I'm allowed. >> No, you are not. Not when you are loitering and understanding. >> Do you live in this neighborhood? >> Pull over where I feel safe. And that's right here in front of my house where I got video. >> You're failing to yield. I'm going to throw your y. >> When dirty cops get trapped by their own lies, it's rarely by accident. They wear the badge to serve and protect, but sometimes use it to manipulate, abuse, and deceive. In this video, we expose real life cases where corrupt cops thought they were untouchable. But justice has a way of closing in. Thanks to brave citizens who recorded the truth and refused to stay silent, their lies didn't last forever. What you're about to see is proof that no one is above the law. [Music] as I have to make my arrest decision based off the indicators that I've seen so far and any declining to do the SFSTs can be held against you in court. Place your hands palm to palm. During an evening patrol on August 21st of 2024, two FWC officers, Stiltner and Gilmore, encountered a man driving a boat through a slow speed zone. He wasn't drunk, had no criminal record, and was with his family. But the patrol had to prove they were doing their job. And that's how the interaction began, one that didn't look promising. Because when someone says they're starting to do this in front of the kids, you know they're going to do exactly that. Turn >> your motors up and go slow. Watch out. >> Okay, just pull up in here. Will you get better water? Dude, he's not paying attention to where he's going. He almost ran into that shaw sign. He put the vessel in reverse when I told him put it in neutral. He's all over the place. >> Maybe. Real quick, while we got you there, do you have a life jacket for every person on board besides the little ones? Yes, sir. >> You mind showing that to me real quick? >> No problem, not sir. >> Okay. And then do you have a type four throwable? What is that? >> Uh like a square cushion or a throw ring. You guys go to the island today. >> Uh no, we just went straight to the little uh place from that development right there. >> That's the one. Cool. Yep. >> And then what else? >> Uh fire extinguisher sound producing device. >> You never seen a police on a >> Since they didn't find any beer or the smell of alcohol, they moved to a technical inspection. Do you have a fire extinguisher? Do you have a signaling device? When the man asked what a bellhorn was, the officer acted like he just caught a dangerous criminal for not knowing every term from the boating manual. Imagine that he didn't know all the words as if he had taken a sailor's exam boat before. >> No, you don't have a fire. >> Okay. >> But I have one today. >> And a uh Do you have a bell horn or a whistle on the boat? >> Turn into his stern. >> What's a bell? >> Sorry. >> What's a bell horn? >> A bell horn or a whistle? What is a bell horn? >> Bell, horn. >> Oh. Oh. Or whistle. >> Oh, got it. >> That'll do it. >> And how much have you had to drink today? >> Zero. >> Zero. >> Zero. >> Okay. Cuz you're kind of Are you nervous around law enforcement or something? Or is it your first time on the boat? >> No. Yeah. Not typically on boats to be honest with >> No. Okay. >> All right. Uh, I kind of want to check out your eyes just make sure you're okay to operate because you're kind of giving me some weird things here. So, do you mind me taking a look at your eyes real quick? All right, do me a favor. Just throw on that life jacket right there and I'll just have you come over here for me real quick. >> You're going to find this hilarious later. >> Yeah, >> I don't I don't. >> And now we come to the real reason behind this harassment invisible suspicion of impairment. Why? Because the man, believe it or not, brought more life vests than they asked for and he handed over the extinguisher facing the wrong way. Well, if that's not proof he's under the influence, then what is? And now comes the most important part, the sobriety check. >> Okay, no worries. Do you want to do it? I can't reach. >> No, I kind of need you to do it. >> This car right here. >> Oh, yeah. >> Can you roll? >> Yeah, I I am. >> Okay. >> And your officer name? >> Stiltner. >> Dodge badge number. >> FWC P528. >> All right. Just take a seat right here. >> He's doing his job. This is why we're safe. Officer, how much longer is this test? >> Few more minutes. >> Few more minutes. >> Yep. Just give me some time, brother. >> I'm with all my kids right now. >> I understand. >> Dude, it's why we're doing what we're doing. Brother, >> you don't smell alcohol in my breath. There's not one ounce of alcohol in the boat. >> Alcohol is not the only thing that causes nestagmas. >> Drugs. All right. >> No. Sit back down. The famous eye test began, but surprise, there was no video of that part. Still, in his report, the officer described every symptom, unsteady tracking of the finger, facial twitches, the magical nestagmus reaction, all present, and all that without a single piece of visual evidence. Because why would a body cam record the most important part of procedure, right? >> I got a few more tasks here for you if you're willing to cooperate with that. >> Not willing to cooperate. >> Okay. What what what more task would you ask of me? >> Uh there are standardized field sobriety tasks that are going to help me determine your level of impairment. >> My level of impairment. >> Correct. >> And for what reason did you see that I would be impaired at all? >> Uh >> one reason? >> Yeah. So, so stumbling with your fingers trying to get those zippers open on your bag. Um when I told you to show me the gauge for the fire extinguisher, you weren't able to turn it to me without knowing. I had to ask you again to turn it towards me. I asked you multiple times for a bell horn or whistle. I said, "Bell horn or whistle?" And then you said, "What's a bell horn?" And I said, "A bell horn or whistle." And you again said, "What's a bell horn?" And I said, "Bell, horn, or whistle." Again, few things are a little bit off. Plus, you're having to step. >> Here we see the man break down emotionally, begging them to let him go because he's with his kids. There's no alcohol on the boat, he says. But the officer replies that alcohol isn't the only issue. that there's also drugs. And so without a single piece of evidence, they begin to escalate the situation even further while the man slowly realizes he's been judged already. And from this point on, things only got darker. Agnus with your eyes. So I just want to make sure that you're okay to drive. >> Okay. Great. >> All right. All right. So what I'm going to have you do here for me, just sit at the front edge of your seat kind of like you're doing. Feet shoulder width apart so you're comfortable and stable. Are you stable where you're sitting right now? >> I think I am. I'm on a bow in the water. >> Okay, that's fine. As long as you're not falling back or anything weird like you're going to make a fish with both hands, extend your index finger, palms forward like that. Remain this position while I explain the task. Do you understand that? >> Yes. >> When I say begin, you're going to tilt your head back to a 45°ree angle. Okay? You're going to close your eyes. I'm not okay. When I tell you to, you're going to touch the tip of your nose. >> The touch your nose test turned into a small scene straight out of a Monty Python sketch. The officer repeated, explained, and even demonstrated the move with the same seriousness as if he was teaching how to disarm a bomb. The man tried to follow the instructions, but every mistake, every moment of hesitation was carefully noted as proof of cognitive impairment. Honestly, even the soberest person wouldn't have understood all those instructions. >> With the tip of your finger and return it immediately back down to its side. >> I'm not paying attention. Hold on. So, you want me to go like this? You're going to go back 45°. I'm going to close my eye. No, I'm going to keep my eyes open or close my eyes. >> Okay. You're going to close your eyes. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, all right. I just close my eyes. >> No, no, no, not yet. Listen to the directions. Okay, >> when I say begin, you're going to turn tilt your head back to a 45° angle and close your eyes. Okay, it's going to look like this. All right, that's a 45° angle. And then you're going to close your eyes. Okay, when I tell you to, you're going to touch the tip of your nose with the tip of your index finger and immediately return it back down to your side. Okay, >> so look, tip of your nose. Okay, tip of your index finger. Nope. Stay in that position. You're going to touch the tip of your nose with the tip of your finger and immediately return it back down to your side. Okay? When I say the tip of your nose, I mean the very tip dimesized portion on the very tip of your nose. Okay? >> I'm not going to touch the side. >> Not the bridge, not the side, not >> The officer asked him to touch the tip of his nose with the dimesized pad of his index finger. It sounded more like a NASA astronaut test rather than something an average person should know. And even though the man performed nearly impossible task quite normally, the officer later wrote the report that said the exact opposite of what the camera would eventually show >> underneath. Okay, >> look at me. When I say the tip of your finger, the very dimesized portion underneath the fingernail. Okay, not the sides, not the pad of your finger. >> You want the tippy top of the finger on the tippy >> tip of the finger to the tip of the nose and return it back down. Do you understand? I do. >> Okay, go ahead and begin for me. >> Which one do you want? Tilt your head back to a 45 degree angle and close your eyes. All right, left. Right. >> I guess I keep my eyes open to close my eyes, right? >> Keep your eyes closed. >> Yep. Left. Remember to maintain that 45 degree angle. Yep, that's good. Is >> this 45? >> Yep. Right. >> Next test, the palm pat. Hands up, down. Count loud. Go faster any moment now. And they might ask for a backflip, too. The man followed the instructions without a single mistake. He asked if he could go home if he did everything right. That's when the officer mentioned the tailor warning. Anything that can be used against you. In other words, the tests were a trap and the outcome was already decided. right >> and left. >> All right. So, next I'm going to have you do is palm pat. Okay. You're going to place your hands palm to palm. >> This the last one. Officer, >> say again. >> Is this the last one? >> I got two more. This one and the next one. >> And then what happens after this? If I If I'm golden and clear. >> Say again. >> After I do this, if I'm golden and cleared, do I get to go home? >> Yeah. If you're good if you're good to go, then you get to go. Okay. >> Um People deny this. >> Say again. >> What happens if people >> I have to advise them of their tailor warning which says I have to make my arrest decision based off the indicators that I've seen so far and any declining to do the SFSTs can be held against you in court. Place your hands palm to palm. Nope. Stay in that good stable position for me. There you go. I'm going have you place your hands palm to palm with one hand up and one hand down. It's going to look like that. Okay. Remain in this position while I explain the task. >> One more test. Fist to chest. Other fist forward. Count to four. Clap three times. then do it all in reverse. Don't you get the feeling the officer was making up these exercises? Each one seemed harder than the last, as if success was never an option. Let's be honest, he didn't even seem to know the instructions he was given. >> Do you understand? >> When I tell you to begin, you're going to turn the top hand over and count out loud one. Then turn the hand back over and count out loud two, counting only when the hands make contact. One, two, one, two, one, two. You're going to repeat this. Speed up as you go and do not stop until told. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two. One, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two. One, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, one, two, >> officer Stilton with Florida Fish and Wildlife. >> Correct. Yes, ma'am. Hey, police. Pass. What I'm going to have you do for me is you're going to go ahead and make a fist with both hands. Place your left fist at the center of your chest and your right fist against your left fist. Okay? It's going to look like this. Remain in this position while I explain it. >> What's frustrating is that the man performed every test perfectly. But sadly, the officer had already decided to arrest him long before the exercises began. This officer had some real nerve writing a report that completely contradicted what was recorded on his own camera. Did he really think no one would watch the footage? Did he honestly believe he'd get away with it? >> Task. Do you understand? >> Yeah. >> When I say begin, you're going to perform four tasks. Okay. The first task is to count out loud from one to four while you move your fist in a step-like fashion, making contact at your fist between each step. It's going to look like this. Okay. One, two, three, four. Okay. Put your left fist against your chest. Yep. Stay right there. Don't move. Keep your feet where. Second task is to memorize the position of your fist. After you've counted to four, clap your hands three times and return your fist to the memorized position. Okay, so you'll be here three times. Back to the memorized position. Okay. >> Okay. Count out loud. Reverse order. Five, six, seven, eight. Returning your left fish to your chest. Finish. Palms down to your lap. >> All right, let's do it. >> Okay. >> One, two, three, four. No positive test, no smell, no alcohol, but they had strange behavior. The man, in disbelief, kept saying he hadn't had a single sip of alcohol. The officer, without blinking, put him in handcuffs. Mission accomplished. Another successful day in the fight against imaginary crimes. Once you realize what the officer did next, the whole thing goes from bad to much, much worse. >> I'm going to have you stand up for me. Okay. >> Yeah. Put that one down. Turn around for me. Put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest. Voting under the influence. Okay, dude. I have not had a single thing. Well, >> dude, you literally haven't had a single, >> dude. You could move. [Music] >> What in the world? >> Now we reached the farce. A man who sat calmly looked straight ahead and tried to follow absurd tests was declared to have failed. And all this happened in front of a pregnant woman, children, and friends. The officer leaned on his experience as proof, though his word was the only evidence. Just moments earlier, the kids were building sand castles. Now they're watching their dad taken away like a criminal. >> No drugs. >> I don't touch anything. >> Google me. I don't touch anything. Okay, listen, brother. You're showing extreme signs of >> I'm nervous. You're nervous. >> I'm nervous as heck. I have all my kids. >> Okay, that has nothing to do with your eyes. Okay, >> my eyes breathize me. Do anything. Check Check everything in there. >> All right, listen. You are going to get an opportunity to provide a breath sample. >> Great. I will gladly do it. >> You won't be able to do that until you get to the jail. >> Okay. >> Yep. And what are all my options right now? >> So, when we get to the jail, we'll discuss the rest of those options. Okay. Right now, you have no options. Your options are you're going to go to the jail. >> Okay. What? >> For >> voting under the influence while normal faculties are impaired. >> Okay. What normal faculties did I just pass or fail? >> All of the things that I just did. >> So all of those tasks your your nestagmas in your eyes, the pre-indicators that I saw on your vessel that we already discussed. >> Did I just pass all those tests? >> None. Excuse me. >> When you're wrong with this as you are, what happened? >> I haven't been. >> Then came the appeal to power. The man mentioned he was a member of the governor's council, a church leader, and knew the local police chief. But in this performance, none of that mattered. The officer acted like he was dealing with the most dangerous offender of the day. What the officer didn't realize, though, was that by the end of the day, he'd be the dirty cub who got trapped by his own lies. Just wait. >> But so if I was wrong, >> his charges will be dropped, >> sir. And you know what? You're going to get a [ __ ] >> sir. So, let me tell you. >> Well, probably not, but that's okay, >> sir. Sir, so okay. If you Google me, I'm on Governor Ronda Santis's council. Okay. >> Okay. If you reach out to the chief in Jupiter and you tell him you're with me, we were with him last night. He's Dan and Shay that's doing the concert tomorrow night. You could search me. You could search the house. You could search everything. I'm an elder at the church right down the street at Jupiter at family church where his bus is parked right now. I'm with my three children right now. Listen to me. >> You know how badly I wish I didn't have to do this in front of your kids right now. But I do not have an option, brother. >> Trust me. Okay. Well, you don't know anything about me. First of all, I am doing my job. You guys are blowing through a manatee zone, okay, which is a slow speed zone with your kids on the boat. If you'd have hit that sand part full, you could have launched all three of your kids out of the front of the boat, okay? Which is why we do what we do. So, it wasn't like you weren't doing anything at all. >> Correct. I'm under the influence >> based off of the interaction with you that I'm having right now. Your normal faculties are impaired. You're with the guy that's with his three kids and his friends are in town for one night. And the day that they're here, I'm trying to show them. I'm trying to take them a good time. He He's not drinking. I'm not drinking. None of us are under the influence. And >> I mean it's it's ridiculous. And I live 10 houses away from you. >> It's not a discussion. >> So you said you have not been wronged yet, right? >> Excuse me. >> You said you have not been wrong yet. >> Not yet. Luckily. >> When the man mentioned he was driving with his family, the officer replied, "You could have thrown them off the boat." This, despite the fact they were moving slowly, caused no trouble. The officer, without the slightest doubt, kept insisting the man's normal functions were impaired. The sad part, this officer seemed to believe that if someone wearing a badge tells a lie, it magically becomes the truth. >> Congratulations. You're super wrong. >> I hope so, brother. >> Dude, you are like like there's nothing. >> I hope so. But listen, >> what do you like? Look at me. Do you think that I'm someone that's going to be on what? On on what sort of thing do you think I'm >> I don't know you, brother. I don't I don't know you. >> Don't call me brother because you're not my brother. You're my brother. You would understand. I am for you. I am with you. I'm for everybody. Like this is I've never been arrested in my life. This is crazy, man. I run a Christian private equity company and I serve on the state of Florida for crying out loud. This is crazy. I'm in my church. Like I'm the furthest thing from this and you're resting me for no reason. >> I hope that that's the case. I I I know what I tell you, but your faculties are telling me otherwise, and I have to do my job. >> You're not. And you said your body came on the wall. >> It's been on the entire time. Yes, sir. Here's the deal, okay? Nothing that we went over is pass or fail. You either do well or you don't. You either show the amount of indicators that the state of California in San Francisco University has determined it determines impairment. >> Start there. We can start there. >> You're more than welcome to petition the United States government. These are these are national >> is correct. >> Yeah. These these are national standardized field sprouty task. Okay. I haven't I didn't nothing everything that I did here none of this is made up off the top of my head. Okay. >> You know I'm not impaired at all. But >> you know it but I wouldn't I wouldn't Well, I'm sorry. I'll stock you brother. It was pathetic how the officer kept claiming he was just doing his job. I don't know what he thinks his job is, but I'm pretty sure it's not ruining a peaceful family day for people with no ties to crime. This wasn't law enforcement. It was humiliation wrapped in a badge. Truly, he should feel ashamed. >> I I wouldn't have even asked you on my boat if I didn't think something weird was going on. >> I was nervous, man. I'm I'm super nervous. >> That's why I asked. Yeah, that's why I asked. >> Yeah. Like and my pride didn't want to admit it. What's the easiest way to get just have my attorney show up? Is that Is that typically what's the easiest way? There is none of that. You're going to have an 8 hour hold. Like I said, >> here's some water. >> At this time, he's not going to be able to do that. He'll get water at the jail. >> Actually, is this the same water that he just opened? >> Okay. >> No. Where's the water that he just open? Give me a brand new water. It needs to crack. >> Hate justice. And with and with this assistance in front of my kids and me not touching ever a drug, obviously zero alcohol, that means I'm 100% picture perfect. It's immediate. >> As the man spoke about his calling for justice, he was ironically witnessing pure injustice. He said his life was dedicated to the truth. While the camera recorded him being taken away in front of his children for something he never did. Honestly, I think even the officer realized at this point he had gone too far, but his ego would never let him just apologize and walk away. >> One of my three kids. >> Listen, I've already Yeah. No, no, no, no, no. I know what you're saying. Like, >> I will make it my life's mission >> for justice to be served. Like, 100%. >> Okay. >> I just I just know that. You know, that's what I've I've dedicated my life to that. >> But no, but you're doing injustice right now. >> Well, I I hope that that's true. If that's true, then I made a mistake and correct and then and then those charges will be dropped. But right now, I have to go based off of my experience in training, which says otherwise. >> Do you understand that? >> No, I don't agree at all because >> you don't have to agree. Do you understand what I'm saying? >> Looking for a reason to show your power um on your boat and in front of others. And trust me, I don't This is the last thing that I want to do. >> I don't believe that. >> I promise it's the last thing I want to do. >> You can promise. >> We came out here to work fish cases. >> The officer kept pretending to feel sorry, repeating, "This is the last thing I wanted." Of course, he said that while threatening jail time and escorting the man onto the patrol boat. He can act regretful now, but that won't erase everything he did that day. Hopefully, he gets fired just to remind him that wearing a badge doesn't place you above the law. County towing us to our house and um tell them the boat's right next to >> the boat's right next to me and you're on speaker phone and wildlife. >> Hey coach, are you there? >> Hey coach, I'm literally in handcuffs like Jesus being persecuted for completely nothing wrong. Um they're saying that I'm under the influence. Um obviously I've not I don't do drugs. I did not touch a ounce of alcohol. We took our kids to let them build sand castles. I spoke to John Maxwell on the boat for a little bit and now we just went home and I'm in handcuffs >> right in front of me. And I keep asking how in the world am I being arrested for being under the influence? Like give me a breathalyzer, search my boat, search everything. And they said that I was fidgety. Then my >> Then came the passive aggression. The officer told the man not to pull away as they cuffed him. not to resist despite it being clear he wasn't resisting at all only trying to understand what he did wrong. They went so far that they even denied him a sip of water. If this isn't abuse of power then what is that I that it's not that I didn't pass or fail the test? Is that their discretion? Blah blah blah. >> What's the officer's name? >> Stilter. >> Ask him I should call Governor Bush. >> Should he call for me? We'll just anchor him here. I guess they're going to have somebody come out and get them. Okay. I I don't have any more time to waste doing this. So, if if your friend's going to come get them, we could do that. Otherwise, we can call STO to come pull your boat, give them a ride home, and then you could pay to get it out of the SETO impound lot. >> Uh just as far as when they get to jail, doing a a breath. >> Yep. Absolutely. >> We can't do that field. We don't have >> No. Yeah. Absolutely not. Not in this state of Florida. Defense attorneys have gotten way too good with that and said that that's not good enough. So, we have to take everybody to the jail now. I got you. >> So yeah, that's that's due to defense attorneys being being good in their job. I'm a I'm a >> You're an impair I'm an impairment task. >> At this point, the officer mysteriously muted the body cam audio right as he got a call from his superior. Convenient timing, right? It turns out that someone higher up had found out what was happening. After all, the man he chose to target was a respected figure in the community. The officer made a huge mistake picking him as the victim of the day >> force member. So I' I've done a lot of these. I've done a lot of extensive training with this. This is kind of my specialty with the agency. >> So again, I have to go with my best judgment for right now. This is that. >> I'll be fine. Thank you so much though. >> No, no, no, no, no. Sit down. >> If you could take them, that'd be great. >> Do not pull away from me like that, brother. Don't do that again. You understand me? >> Oh, thank you. >> How do you give my wife? >> Uh, I I can give her a phone call on my state. So, >> Yes, sir. Hey, >> let me give my chocolate. >> The man still couldn't believe what had happened. He was in shock. And honestly, who could blame him? Imagine taking your family out on the boat, including a pregnant wife and young kids, being accused of boating under the influence without even having a single sip of alcohol. How would you react in this situation? Let us know in the comments. Meanwhile, we're heading back to the footage >> and everything. >> Like private equity, you said something like that. Yeah, like I I mean private equity company. I'm on the board of Blue Cross and Blue Shield, started a church. And so it's, you know, it's it's hilarious because it's like you could have paid me a billion dollars to do drugs. >> And that's that's the thing. We just have to go based off what we see and then that's what like you'll be able to provide the >> No, I get it. But we're going to help you stand up. Okay. Then I'm going to come up here and we're going to make sure you get up here without falling. All right. All right. >> All right. Call your with me. Oh yeah. You got some friends in high places, buddy. The major was calling my lieutenant to see what was going on. >> That could high. >> Well, yeah, they trust our our training, you know. They just wanted to be briefed on the on the situation, basically. >> Yeah. So, I mean, there's a lot of impairment factors that go into play when we >> Here we see the officer trying to rationalize everything. He said impairment isn't defined by one factor, but by the totality of the experience. In other words, his feelings, impressions, and personal vibe mattered more than actual evidence. He even bragged that he's done this over 100 times. Well, honestly, we don't doubt that one bit. And that's exactly the problem. >> Do what we do. So, all those fieldy tasks that I've gone that I went through, >> you know, I've I've done that 100 100 times, 100 plus times, and and those are those are fairly accurate. It it doesn't have to do with any one particular thing. It's impairment beyond normal faculties, right? That's what that's how it's written in the state statute. Well, normal faculties could be sleep deprivation or something along those lines, right? It's totally totally objective, so to speak, right? It has to do with, you know, all of the different indicators that we look at, you know, is that person impaired? And that's typically what we're looking for. And that's what we're trying to make our decision based off of. I hope you're not, but I >> And as the cherry on top, the man took a breath test in jail. The result, zero. Urine test also clean. Drug expert evaluation completely negative. In other words, the officer was completely wrong. But if you think that cop went too far, wait until you see the case where an officer went after a man who was simply sleeping. Let's take a look. Speaking of times when dirty cops got trapped by their own lies, let's talk about one officer's mission to find a crime where there wasn't one. Two men were sleeping in a parked car. The officer demanded they open the door because apparently sleeping without state permission made him uncomfortable. When asked what exact crime had been committed, he had no answer, but it didn't matter. His badge didn't need a law. >> Yeah. Yeah. Do we need to move? >> Open the door. >> Do we need to move? >> Open the door. >> For what? What crime do you suspect us of committing? Listen, there's two guys sleeping in the car. >> What crime is that? >> That's not a crime. >> All right. >> What crime is that? >> Do you have an ID? >> I have a big bag of yourself. >> Do we need to move? >> No. >> Then you need to get in your car and leave. Have a nice day. >> All right. >> I'm just getting some shot, man. We don't want any trouble. >> All right. >> Good. >> I'm trying to find out what you guys doing here. >> We just told you what we're doing. >> You guys live here, >> man. Come on, man. I'm I told you I was sleeping. >> It's a question I'm asking. >> And it's a question we're not answering. >> I'm trying I'm trying to I'm trying to get you on your way. >> Me on my way? >> Yeah, I'm trying to get you on your way. >> To explain they were just resting. One officer introduced himself. The other didn't think anyone had the right to ask for his name. Even though no threat was detected, he ignored their refusal to engage and decided they weren't free to leave. Yes, sleeping in a parked car is such a suspicious act that it demands the full mobilization of state. >> I know you got a call or whatever and you check on I'm just telling you I just got tired and I I pulled over and I slept. >> Okay. >> Yeah, that's all there is to it. There's nothing to investigate. >> You good? >> ID? >> No, man. I'm not giving you nothing. Bro, >> you're not giving me your ID. >> I'm not giving you [ __ ] man. I'm trying to be nice to you. >> Give me your name and ID. >> Officer Chevier. ID 0259. >> Thank you. Have a nice night, Officer Chevier. >> Give me one second. >> Yeah, you ain't getting any more seconds. We're done with you. You have a nice night. >> You guys are not free to go. >> You're not free to go. [Music] >> People for sleeping on the sidewalk in a public area. You get that light out of my face. >> You just me and >> I called back up. I didn't mind that. >> You guys [ __ ] No, we didn't. Stay in the car. >> Excuse you. >> Stay in the car. >> I'm not. >> The scene turned into a mini siege. Even backup arrived. One of them tried to record what was happening. The officer warned him not to step out of the vehicle, even though the First Amendment clearly protects the right to film. But rights, as it seems, only apply as long as they don't make someone in uniform uncomfortable. And when discomfort rules over the Constitution, anything can happen next. >> Doing anything wrong. >> I'm going to come over here and I'm going to document this. You're not gonna impede me from doing that. [Applause] Sir, please tell me you are recording this in its entirety. >> I am recording this in its entirety. >> Did he inform you not to get out of the car? >> Sir, I'm allowed. >> No, you are not. Not Not when you are loitering and prowling. Understanding. Do you live in this neighborhood? >> Do we have to live in >> Oh, yeah. It does. It does. Yes, it does. >> Do you understand the devil? Hush. >> Hush. >> Hush. Sir, who are you talking to like? >> Do you understand the law of loitering? >> Do you understand what the first amendment is? >> Oh, yeah. Absolutely. >> Okay. So, then me getting out to document is >> No, I couldn't. I couldn't see what you guys did. had your camera out. >> Sir, let me be clear about that. >> Let me be clear. You guys can search me and see that I don't have >> I don't need to touch you. What I do need to tell you is this. >> The power play kept going. Now, with the claim that sleeping in the car might actually be considered loitering. How on earth is that loitering? These officers were clearly ready to say whatever it took just to push their authority all the way through. Let's just see how far they're willing to take it. >> Stupid mother >> loitering and prowling. Be in a place unusual time. Yes. Don't tell me I've been doing this job for 20 damn years. >> And we've proven numerous times tonight already that you guys don't know the law. Listen to me. >> Objection. >> You're not qualified. >> Noting a problem. >> Means being in a place at a time that is unusual for that area. So when I come up to this car, >> you didn't come up. He came up. >> When I come up to this car, >> he didn't come up to this. He came. >> It doesn't matter. When I come up to this car and I see you in this car, get your supervisor in the morning. Get your supervisor out here. >> I don't need you. >> You do. I'm request I'm I'm formally requesting your supervisor. >> Okay. >> So, please get your supervisor. >> Oh, you're ignoring me. >> Absolutely. >> Okay. So, Officer Marabota. >> Marabota. Do you have ID on you? >> I don't. >> So, you're not in this neighborhood. So, you may be casing course. >> No, I'm not. >> How do I know that? >> Because we told you. >> No, you're not. >> I don't have to answer. You know what the fourth amendment says? >> Abs. Absolutely. I know. >> Okay. Then I don't have to answer your questions. >> No, you don't. But you know what? You have two choices. You have two choices. You have two choices. I can either wait one >> because you're not when I get your [ __ ] at this point in time. You want to say relieving my >> Well, I don't have to. It's your job to prove that I'm doing something. Technically, it is not. Read the law. >> You should read the law. >> All about that. >> You should read the law. >> Can you believe the officers refused to call a supervisor? They acted like it was optional, but it's literally part of their job policy. But honestly, we can't expect much better from these two. The real question is, how did they get hired with this level of understanding of the law? But wait, because it's far from over. >> It is your call what you want to do. >> You're not qualified to read [ __ ] >> You're stupid as [ __ ] >> Your call what you want to do. Okay. >> Qualified to do [ __ ] You ain't qualified to do [ __ ] >> Oh, so you'd violate rights is what you do. >> Yeah. You're going to find out you ain't qualified to stupid mother. Is wrong with you? Who's the one who patrols streets every night? Now he just stepped across the line recording it just so you understand. >> No, he didn't. Yes, he did. >> He used his first amendment. If you don't like the first amendment, you can loudly at night. >> That's fine. >> He's allowed to No, he's allowed to express himself. No, he's not. >> No. Disturbing the peace would be cursing you out. >> You stupid federal subpoena. >> So you don't like him to arrest him? >> Yeah. You don't like me like these? >> Chill out, man. >> Sir, are you a little bit more levelheaded? Have we disag [Music] pulled up on us and he started flashing a light in our face? How are we doing something illegal? Would you much rather us driving around dangerously tired or would you much rather us pull over and find a place to sleep for the night? >> At this moment, the real blows landed. The man calmly defended their right to sleep in the car rather than drive while tired. But even that wasn't enough. They offered to move the vehicle. Yet that simple solution was ignored from the start. This could have ended with one sentence of reason, but the role of petty dictator in uniform was just too tempting to pass up. If you had said, "Hey, would you guys mind moving along?" We would have just moved along. So you guys know I'm getting this conspiring on on record. >> Yes. Get your ignorous friend and you like you said unasso. >> Excuse you. >> On ask the >> No, no. What' you call us? >> I said your ignorous friend. >> Okay. Now I want your [ __ ] supervisor. Who are you to insult anybody? We weren't doing anything wrong but sitting in a car sleeping protectselves, keeping off the street. Right. >> I have the entire thing recorded. >> Cursing us. >> I have me cursing him out, too. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Because because you're acting like an [ __ ] >> And let me ask you a question. In what universe do do you have any concept of where you're allowed to curse me out? >> We're in the United be able to do it to you >> because you're a public servant. We're in the >> you idiot. >> Excuse you. >> Exactly. >> Now you're a citizen reminded them they were public servants and that only seemed to make them more irritated. How dare someone mention they're paid by taxpayers. The officers tried to intimidate the men using their position as a shield for behavior they didn't even meet the basic standard of decency. Every principle of deescalation was tossed aside. And believe it or not, these officers still had plenty more to show us. >> Instant in instigate. >> Oh, I'm not in. I'm just to you. No, you're just being an [ __ ] to your level. >> You should think it's okay. >> But but you see, as a police officer, you should because aren't you guys Aren't you guys supposed to be the finest and the best of the best of the citizens? >> I have to relate to the people I'm speaking to. You have to relate to Well, no, you don't know how to repeat to the people that that you >> You need me to talk to you in the fashion. No, I don't. I need you to start giving us respect. I wasn't even talking to you. He's the one who showed up. >> [ __ ] you. I respect you. Who the >> [ __ ] I'm your goddamn employer. >> No, you're not. >> Yes, I am. You work for you work for the city. >> You don't pay for this city. You don't live in this city. You just You just told me. Unless you're a liar. Are you a liar? >> I don't have to [ __ ] tell you any truths. >> You just told me. >> But I don't have to liar. I don't have to tell any truth. >> You can lie. >> Listen, I'm not the one who took a job where the Supreme Court has ruled that you're allowed to lie. >> Exactly. >> So, you did. But you did. There you go. So you're allowed to lie to me and now you're standing here trying to instigate and intimidate. >> I'm not intimidating you not intimidating. >> You're wearing a belt of death standing less than three feet in frame. >> Yeah. Get the out of here. You of a man. You little Oompa Loompa. >> Yes. >> Sergeant. All right. Sir, I'm sorry about our initial interaction. >> You have belts of death attitudes. >> Yes, I do. >> Yeah, you do. >> Honestly, if this whole situation weren't so sad, might actually be funny. The officer completely lost his cool. He came off like someone dealing with deep insecurities, trying to fix them by flexing power over random people. But the real problem starts when someone knows their rights and refuses to let it slide. And finally, the supervisor arrives. That's when things get even more interesting. >> Get a job, you take a uniform. >> Hey, remember I served 13 months for this country. >> If you have any decent human being, >> weren't you leaving? You were leaving, right? >> But I want to clarify something. Well, I don't need your I don't I don't need your speeches or your decency. >> I just want you to respond to one thing with me. Okay. >> If you have >> any decency as a man >> as a man. >> Hey, look. He's here. Now, if you have any decency man, it will be in its entirety, including your responses. >> Go on YouTube.com, look up Monk83. Your [ __ ] ass will be on there in about 20 minutes. >> They don't waste my time with that. >> Well, then don't to do with my recordings. It's my documentation. >> I don't give a >> Yeah, I know you don't. You >> sir, are you their supervisor? >> I'd like to file a complaint on him. uh he likes to come up and start cursing people out, telling people what it what they can and can't do, threatening us with jail for simply for sitting here sleeping instead of driving around and and and possibly causing a crash. Now, when this gentleman pulled up, he asked for he as he did everything he was supposed to do. He maintained his professionalism. >> The citizen tried to explain everything to the supervisor who had finally showed up. He admitted they may have used some strong words, but pointed out that it was a reaction to the officer's arrogance, the one who started it all. But if you thought things would be resolved now that a supervisor was on the scene, think again and buckle up cuz there's still plenty of room left for disappointment. >> But as soon as this guy came on, he tried to in instigate intimidate, tried to try to threaten us with arrest simply for trying to document this stop. I told him, "Hey, I'm getting out. I'm going to I'm going to document better. Can't see from the car." I got out and I stood by that pole, didn't leave. He comes up to me, gets in my face, starts telling me I'm a idiot. After, you know, we had run our mouth a little bit, >> but aren't you guys supposed to be above us? You're supposed to be the citizens above us, correct? He acted like he's a thug on the street >> laughing at me thinking we're a [ __ ] joke. >> ID? >> I don't have any ID, sir. >> So, how do you want me to? >> I'll come down to the station later and file a complaint. >> We're going to do this now. >> Well, I can do it anonymously, can I not? >> I need your ID. >> Can we do it anonymously? >> Then you can come back in the morning. >> So, I can't I can't file an anonymous complaint. You're telling me a citizen can't come in off the street, fill out paper? >> Anonymous. Okay, we'll we'll file it as anonymous. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Are you guys done here? >> Uh, they're trying to tell us that we can't stay here and sleep. But we didn't hurt anybody, did we? >> Well, what are we supposed to do? >> We have to go where? >> I was just reaching for this. If you guys want to pat me down, like I said before, you're more than welcome. I have no I'm talking to him, not you. >> The irony couldn't be clearer. The citizen who wants to file a complaint isn't allowed to do so anonymously. While the police would have gladly IDed him without ever giving their own names. As he tries to stay civil, they tell him he's free to leave if he shows ID. Conveniently forgetting that a complaint should be judged by the officer's actions, not by the citizen's identity. >> You You can shut the [ __ ] up. Uh we don't have any ill will, no intent. We're not trying to, you know, do anything wrong. >> Yeah. Yeah. No worries. Uh when I'm done with this, I'm going to put it back in my pocket, though. Just giving you a heads up. Good job. >> It was It was your officer. Uh it was your African-American officer. Can you address in front of me? >> I'm going to address that right now. >> Yeah. Can you address him right now? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Let him know. Hey, can you tell me to get that light on me? That's kind of rude. He did that on purpose. >> Okay. Glad you were leaving. >> Yeah, I am. But can you tell me that >> Oh, we're going to leave once you guys leave. >> You leave now. >> No. No. We're going to leave when you guys leave. I feel safer if we left when you guys left. Especially with the little one right there being so angry as he is. >> No, we're not going to. >> All right, that's fine. Hey, that's good. That's Hey, >> from the from leadership down. That's what it shows. >> Heard of the hate from the top up. >> We can talk as loud as we want. >> Because if you continue Okay, very good. That's a smart choice. This is funny to Maraboa, huh? People's rights are funny to him. >> 19. >> On top of everything, just look at how many officers showed up for two guys who not only broke no law, but actually did the right thing. They chose not to drive while tired, didn't put anyone at risk, and simply wanted to rest before continuing. You'd think they'd be thanked for that. Strange how the police didn't see it that way. >> Hey to violate everyone's rights tonight. Maraboa, you're going to look great on YouTube. You [ __ ] pig. Oh, Sergeant. Sergeant, that gentleman also told the other African the other American officer he didn't like my buddy in the car, so he was going to arrest him. That goes against your policy, right? Because you don't like somebody, you can arrest someone. >> Thank you very much, sir. Sorry you had to come out and deal with this. [Music] The video ends without an arrest, but the damage was clear and well documented. Maybe these officers walked away thinking they proved something, but in reality, they turned themselves into clowns on YouTube and a textbook example of how not to behave in uniform. Sadly, there are far too many cases like this in America. And one of them involves a power-hungry officer who harassed a biker for absolutely no reason. Let's take our next example of a dirty cop who got trapped by his own lies on camera, a state trooper who appeared out of nowhere as a bike was slowly making his way home. And suddenly, sirens lit up behind him. And if you're wondering why the biker was pulled over since he hadn't broken a traffic rule, well, don't worry. The trooper didn't know either. [Music] Can you not hear me? >> What? >> Can't you can't hear that siren? >> No, I can't. >> Why? >> Cuz I have uh speakers in my helmet. >> That's illegal. >> No, it's not. >> Okay. Uh motorcycle license, please. >> Why you pulling me over first? >> Cuz I can't. Motorcycle license. >> Can I ask why you're pulling me over first? to ID who you are. >> Oh, to ID who I am. >> Well, guess what? This is all on video, bud. >> You're right. My name's Officer Nabau. You're being audio video recorded. >> The verbal clash began. Ryder calmly explained he stopped in front of his own home because that's where he felt safe. The officer took that as disobeying a command. Everything was being recorded, but that didn't stop the trooper from using classic move, demanding ID before giving any reason for the stop. In a world of logic that wouldn't fly, but in police reality, all it takes is because I said so. >> You're right. It is being video recorded, bud. And guess what else I have a right to do? Pull over where I feel [ __ ] safe. >> And that's right here in front of my house where I got video. >> You're a failure to yield me. >> I'm a failure to yield [ __ ] I got a [ __ ] green light, you dumbass. >> I lit you up back at the end of the street. >> I have a right to pull over where I feel safe. >> Okay. >> You're going to quit harassing me. >> You need to relax. >> You're going to quit harassing me. I'm filing charges. >> Know who you are. >> You don't need to know who I am. I did nothing wrong. And how am I harassing you? >> Because I did nothing wrong and me over. >> Your plate needs to be displayed. >> My plate is >> I can't see it. >> You can't. >> You need to relax, sir. >> Give me my driver's license. Run it and do what you got to do. You ain't going to >> do what I want to do here, sir. >> I don't give a you think you do. >> Relax. >> I'm not going to relax. You pulled me over for no. You're going on YouTube, bud. And I'm charged on your whole department. You want to pass me? >> I'm suing you. >> I'm suing you. How's that? >> I'ming you, >> sir. Do not move that. >> I'm going to my dare to put hands on me. The rider stepped into his own yard, but the officer, that was an act of rebellion. Even though no one was running, resisting, or doing anything remotely threatening, the man was just trying to get to private property. He shouted that he would sue the whole department. Maybe it sounded extreme, but given the officer's aggressive behavior, it's completely reasonable. >> I didn't do a I'm suing them. >> What happened? >> He pulled me over for reason. >> For what? >> No reason whatsoever. >> What? >> He pulled me over for no I'm suing him. >> What'd he get you for? >> Reason whatsoever. I'm suing you, bud. I can tell you that right now. >> Get in there, >> sir. You walked off from my traffic stop. I'm detaining you for my safety. >> No, you're not. >> What happened? >> You put hands on me, you're getting sued. Stop. >> Get your phone out. Record this. >> Come with me. You walk off from my traffic stop again. You're going to jail. >> You're getting sued. You and your whole department, bud. >> Don't put hands on me. >> Stop right here. >> Don't put on me. You are on video, bud. You're getting sued. You're getting sued. >> Right here. >> Your town is going to pay me big, bud. >> You are going to pay me big. >> I want your now. >> Okay. You're getting >> Get back out here. Mike, stay outside. >> You're getting >> Now comes the spectacle. The officer claimed the license plate was expired. The rider, clearly frustrated, pointed out it wasn't backed up by visual proof, but the cop ignored the evidence and kept digging for a reason to issue a citation. When you can't justify the stop, the only option left is to invent guilt. And that's exactly what we're watching. >> He left my traffic stop. I awful traffic. >> I pushed my bike home. I have a where I feel safe. You pulled me over for no reason. >> I signaled. I did everything. >> You got to deescalate. >> [ __ ] him. >> You got to deescalate. So does he. >> You want to harass me, [ __ ] I'm suing your whole [ __ ] department, [ __ ] >> You got to deescalate. I did nothing [ __ ] wrong. You're making it work. reason why our rival is in his car. >> Your bike registration plate is out of date. >> No the [ __ ] it's not. >> Get over here and look. >> No the [ __ ] >> look. >> No the [ __ ] look. >> Ain't no [ __ ] way it's out. >> And then you're going to quit running your [ __ ] mouth. Come over here. >> Ain't no [ __ ] way it's out. >> What does it say? >> What does it say? >> I don't care what it says. >> Seven of 24. >> I haven't had the bike even a year. How is that so? Hey, you're asking why I stopped you, Mr. YouTube. >> You're still going on her. You're still a tyrant. >> Who's a clown now? >> That's not why you stopped me. Give me my [ __ ] license back. >> I'm not done. You walk away. I am going to arrest you. >> Arrest me then. I'll sue the [ __ ] out of you. >> You think this paid my mom big money, you're going to pay me even more. >> I guarantee you that. >> You got to deescalated. >> Guarantee you that. >> The rider, now completely fed up, asked the officer to just write the ticket and let him go. But no more backup was called in. Honestly, credit to this man for not being intimidated by the officer's threats. That's exactly how it should be. When you know your rights, no badge can take him away. Still, don't think the officer was ready to back down. >> Take a deep breath. >> I'm suing the him. >> Mike, you're making it worse. Take a deep breath. >> Watch. It's all on video. I did not a [ __ ] thing wrong. Get pulled over. I did the speed limit. I used the turn signal. Every [ __ ] thing. [ __ ] him. >> Okay. tyrant [ __ ] Write my citation or whatever you got to do and get the [ __ ] out of here. Piece of [ __ ] Call all the backup you need too, you [ __ ] coward. Yeah, call backup, big boy. Like I give a I didn't do a [ __ ] thing wrong. If you're not a sergeant, I have nothing to say to you. >> I am a sergeant. >> He pulled me over for none whatsoever. I have it all on video. >> He's written his registration's out. >> I haven't even had the bike a year. That's not possible. >> I'm just telling he refused to stop. >> I didn't refuse to stop. I have a right to pull over where I feel safe. >> Refuse to stop. >> Yeah, >> they're getting sued. See >> getting sued. >> They're getting sued. >> A sergeant arrived on the scene. The rider asked to speak directly to someone in charge. Calmly explaining the stop had no legal basis and reminded them it was all on video. The officers fell back into their usual phrases of non-compliance while the rider kept asking some questions. What he didn't realize was that cops don't answer questions that don't work in their favor. >> I got it all on video. He harassed me. You >> that he needs to get his registration fixed and he flips out. No, that's not the case. You're lying through your I have it all on video >> and it's continuing to record right here. >> So, here's here's your tickets. You get a ticket. >> That's fine. >> For not lawfully stopping at my stop. >> That's fine. I have a piss off where I feel safe. Do I not do I not have a right to pull over where I feel safe? >> I do. I don't want to speak to you. I want to speak to the sergeant. >> It's my traffic stop. >> I'm done with you, though. >> You'll see me in court when I sue you for harassment. Do I not have the right to pull over where I feel safe? As an American citizen, as an American citizen, do I not pull over where I feel safe? >> I was coming to my house. I never went above the speed limit. I never ran from you. I never did [ __ ] like that. I stopped right there. I pushed my bike up here. >> If it's a registration, I >> So, let me get this straight. Let me get this straight. Let me get this straight. Right. You pulled me over for registration, but you said when you stopped me, you couldn't see my plate. So, which is it? You wouldn't [ __ ] listen to me, so I couldn't >> Which is it? You couldn't say the plate, but it's out of registration, right? >> You wouldn't stop and listen. >> I know what it is. The sticker under there offended you, huh, buddy? Where? >> Well, guess what? You're getting sued. >> You're getting sued. Write me all the >> Okay, I dare you to. >> Citations were handed out. Ryder accepted them, but still insisted on speaking with a supervisor. The officer, of course, wanted to just wrap up the show and leave. At this point, it's clear this had nothing to do with a traffic violation. It was never about the law. It was about ego. It's always about ego. >> See, you're important. I'm suing the [ __ ] out of you. You've been harassing me for a long time. He's the same one that threatened to shoot my dog because he was in my house barking. >> Yeah, you forgot about that, didn't you? >> Don't touch my bike. >> This is all on video. I got a camera there, camera there, camera there, and I got a camera right here recording. >> Sir, your citations will be coming in the mail. Respond within 10 days. That's fine. I will. You'll respond to your citations in days. I want to file. >> Let him talk. >> There's no complaint. Just harassment. >> You're going to go on YouTube. You're going to be famous, bud. >> You are. >> Wait, let him talk. Let the sergeant talk to you. You called him again. >> Nothing to say. He pulled me over for no reason. You want to watch the video back? I'll stop the recording. I'll pull it up on my phone and I will show you where he pulled out from behind me down there by the followed me the whole way here, changed lanes to go like he was going to go towards Marathon or across the bridge and then got back behind me to harass me. It's all on video. >> Okay. >> It's all on video. >> I listen. Can I talk now? >> Every Get off my bike. Don't touch my property. Don't touch my property. I'm asking you once. >> Let him talk. >> So, what I'm saying is >> I want the citation wipe. Period. That's all there is to I did nothing or he's getting sued. >> Let him talk. Come on, >> bro. That's all there is to it. You're going to pay big money for this. I guarantee you that. >> Do you realize that after this, the officer still never explained why he approached the man in the first place? And to top off that, he was so careless or just plain arrogant that he couldn't even come up with a single believable excuse for the stop. Not one. Obviously, he never thought he'd be questioned. >> You want Do you want >> I want him to get off my property. >> I'll speak to you. I want him off my property. >> Let him talk to you. You called him here. >> He's been nothing but disrespectful every time I've dealt with him. Every single time. >> So, as far as arguing the the thing on the flight, he's going to issue citations. >> That's fine. >> I haven't had this gear. I don't know how it's out. You could bring your you could bring your you could bring your videos and whatever and that's what that's what the magistrate >> that's fine I'm going to do that you bring it out brother >> so bring bring your your proof to the magistrates and then you can show to her if you have a if you have a complaint that's what I'm talking about if you have a complaint against an individual officer you have to do it with the chief of course you have to go down and do it with the chief >> can you send him my house I'd rather not come down >> he's not here it's illegal but you can go you can go follow >> the chief deal >> I did I don't know what >> it's all on video you know when first stop me. He said, "I pulled you over twice." >> Finally, the officer came up with something. He claimed the stop was because of an obstructed license plate, but even that isn't a real traffic violation serious enough to justify this entire circus. So, we all know what's coming next. A harsh reality check for this officer. What do you think? Should he be fired or at least face some consequences? Let us know in the comments. You think this was bad? Well, unfortunately, it gets even worse. In the next video, you'll see officers taking things to a whole new level, and not in a good way. If you thought this case was outrageous, wait until you see what's coming next. See you in the next one.
