you know the door's open or no my wife called me I had my phone you know sitting on the on the sink she called me so I answered the phone I said hey I said I'm getting ready to get my clothes on here and come outside and I said where's art she said well he's in the room I was like he's not in the room she's like well I hope that front door isn't open because Marley doesn't sometimes forget the so I'm running through the house naked to go check to see where my son's at the door's wide open there's no one around the cars parked next or up over there so he probably came down the steps went you know I don't even know where he was I have no idea like all this I'm completely clueless to it I'm trying to put my clothes on so I can go find him so then I go outside and I'm upset with my daughter because she knows better at 7 years old to shut a door and she does this regular she tries to go down near the road there's this guy Herbert across the street she tries to go down there she thinks the guy's a nice guy I don't trust who he is I don't know anything about him you know I heard something about his brother got ran over by a garbage truck in Birmingham about a year ago or something like that so I don't really trust the people my dad said one of the guys Wade I think came up in the yard or something like that or might have been the guy that got killed whoever was and was trying to talk to this uh my dad used to have a woman here named Geneva Jones and Paige and they were living here and then my dad donated some land he bought you house what were you yelling about today my daughter I was yelling at her like she can't be leaving our doors open because her brother was gone and I was scared because I don't know if he got hit by a car my wife just said this to me earlier today before I even got in the shower yeah you can't let him outside cuz he'll go right towards the road which is apparently where he went and I came outside and I was mad at my daughter because she doesn't doesn't think to be proactive she should have said something to her mom like hey I left the door open or but she gets quiet she's even made like she had a piece of hair ripped out of her head up at the church she tried to blame it on a kid at the school she tries to get all in these and I know it's cuz she's seven years old she's got she's got you know she doesn't want to get in trouble and I'd rather her just be honest but a lot of people in this day and age you know people that you arrest they don't want to come clean and just be honest I'm just telling you the truth there I don't have any reason to lie to you no reason at all I'm trying to get a job the guy across the street brought us some salad this morning supposed to get a job with the UNFI over here i' I've been unemployed since May 8th and I'm a truck driver that's what I do that's my profession and I'm trying to get another job because I want to be home every day that's something very important to me I want to be around my kids my son means everything to me he I don't want my kid to die that's really what it all comes down to how would you I mean how would any parent feel when their kid dies I'd want to die I would not want to live anymore knowing my kid wasn't on this Earth it means everything to me having my children but do you yell at her like that all the time no sir I don't okay I was just very your responsibility yes sir do not let it happen again so a family located the 2-year-old running up and down the airport road right here uh they believed it was at this residence but it wasn't started hearing somebody yelling um Extremely Loud uh was a couple blocks away could still hear sounded like he was right on the the other side of the Tahoe um grabbed a 2-year-old walked him down to the residence met the mother that was coming to look for the child the mother stated the seven-year-old daughter uh opened the door or left the door a jar and the 2-year-old ran out um it's an accident but can't afford accidents like that accidents like that have very catastrophic circum or conclusions if they happen wrong so seems like appears to me that the husband has some anger issues the wife said that um seemed comfortable yelling the way he was so we're going to do a documentation report of everything that's happened and um just keep an eye on that residance we were asked to come check out this gas station reference somebody trespassing and possibly panhandling for money not really sure the description but I do have somebody that's standing there with a cup in their hand um looking towards the parking lot so we're going to hop out with him and just see if that's what he's doing hey bud are you are you out here begging for money you what I was just about to leave okay is Jacob Wilson I've been in law enforcement now uh about 9 years I'm 32 years old I've been with Oxford Police Department 4 and 1/2 years um I'm an ESU member here I'm on the crisis negotiations team and I've been on patrol for the length of my time at Oxford um so policing for me was never in the plan uh uh really no I went to uh I I went to college and and didn't do so hot my first semester and needed to grow up I joined the army and came back and finished college and I got a degree um and when I did uh I started looking at what I was going to do Post college and um my previous agency hired me and I learned really quickly how how much I was going to love this job um and I've always said like if I if I didn't enjoy it I wouldn't do it um and so I still I still stand by that it's it's been it's been almost 9 years and I still have fun coming to work every day day um and I still find things that motivate me to want to do something new with it every day uh I found pretty quickly where I fit in and what I enjoy doing while I'm while I'm in this uniform and um as cliche is as it is um I found what I've good at what what I what I believe I'm good at and and I think uh that's where I know I don't know what his plan is to get all this stuff taken care of but can't just not I don't like to I want to Rite him a bunch of tickets but he says he came down here for a job interview where at at the Chevron but he's from fruit Hurst so the way he explained it to me though is they interviewed him here and he's planning on working at the one on the hefin exit or in hefin somewhere in hefin um but he's got like white light emitting from the rear suspended license he thinks he has ftas it's not insured um he's got a good handful of things so um but those tickets were all the way back in June of last year and I'm not seeing anything in move all right you're good all right right appreciate I think you going to be all right um I'll explain everything you mind stepping out here for me so um they checked with uh with Hein you don't have anything local the only thing that we're showing is something out of uh talapa Georgia right so is that with the ones you were talking about get dropped did it okay all right um so then I guess my question is like you don't have any warrants or anything so moving forward like I stopped you cuz you know you got a broken tail light and there's white light emitting from the rear of your vehicle I need to point that out to you so might need some more red tape to put over it whatever it is just a quick fix I'll show you what I'm talking about um your reverse lights right here where it's cracked when you put the brakes on you got white light coming out of the rear of your vehicle so you can yeah you can go over there to O'Reilly's I think like three or four bucks you can get some red tape right here put it over that's quick and easy fix that's what I was trying to find with some like clear red tape yeah yeah they sell it at or yeah specifically for that reason or aing aone whatever it may be um here's your ID before I forget but I will tell you man uh your license is suspended so I guess it's going to be for those tickets so I know you're looking for a job but like what's the plan in the meantime because I know you got to get to work and stuff or get to your interviews I mean um you can't have you driving on the road especially without insurance that's my biggest thing you know what I mean the the tag we can figure that out when we get to it but we got to at least be insured so oh I mean so I wouldn't be able to drive out of here uh well I'll tell you what I'm going to do man I would recommend I would recommend you park the thing CU you got suspended license you a't going to got any insurance but here's what I'm going to do uh I I told you I don't plan on writing you a bunch of tickets or anything like that I just want to know what your plan to get insurance is because we need to get that want to sift through all this nonsense to find what what I'm looking for so some will um but your majority of cops aren't going to they don't want to take the time did you hear what he said though about that no said he had found it outside his house but find it outside your house why would it still a have uh water in it from where you were smoking um and be why would you set it next to you while you're driving down the road cuz well that don't make a whole lot of sense okay and it is highly possible too that what meth he does have is in that bowl um cuz there is meth in it and he's wearing a bra if this doesn't tell you anything there's your cut straw and there's your baggie of Meth got you cut straw snort it um also a bag of meth and there's probably going to be if I had a gas myth in this as well nope marijuana so a little bit of weed not much you you need to be honest with me okay um I don't care if you wear bras if you paint your fingernails I don't care okay but I know you have one on okay is there something hidden in there cuz the second I get to the jail I'm going to strip search you and if I find something it is an automatic higher class felony okay so nothing in your pants either okay cuz your pants are unzipped so that's kind of a a red flag for me ain't nothing there okay all right I found people will put magnetic boxes um up under their vehicles that this going down the road but I'd really like to be able to empty out this meth water see if it will not any time quickly with that okay there we go I don't know if you can see that but that's meth inside the bottom of it but I'd imagine he was smoking it going down the road that's why it was where it was um and then uh just so you know I did find this in the car okay so this and it's got you got a little bit of marijuana in here I'm not too concerned with that but you're going to uh go to jail on controlled substance some paraphernalia tonight might well send prison well that'll be up to a court system not me all right um so during the traffic stop uh the gentleman was uh reaching around which is what we call furtive movements it's more movement than somebody getting a wallet uh it appeared that he was putting something towards the center console you could see him leaned over uh when I got up there to him I could see what appeared to be a medicine bottle uh I thought it had a baggie in it or something like that but it was tucked right there so went ahead and got him out and when I uh checked the area I found a homemade meth pipe um further search of the vehicle I located a little container that contain contained a baggie of methamphetamine a cut straw and a little metal container that had uh marijuana in it but the subject was arrested tonight uh he'll go to jail on possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and we'll get him back to the jail and get them booked in [Music] [Applause] [Music]
