Ma'am, stand up. I got you on thermal. >> Sat there, drank a beer. Drank another beer. >> [music] [music] >> You fresh to death, man. You dripped out. >> Hello. How are you guys? >> Yeah. Are you guys having a good day? Yeah. >> Yeah. What are you guys up to today? >> Just got back home. >> Just got back home from what? >> Well, mama had to donate. >> Oh my. That's >> Did you have to go in and watch mama donate or no? >> That's good. >> Hot. >> That would have been scary. Okay. >> They won't let anybody under the age of 18 into the donation place. >> Y'all threw me for a loop. I saw the press and I was like, "Is that a cop?" No, that says press. That says press on the back. Well, I have a couple of stickers for you guys. All right. What do you guys say? >> Do you want some stickers? Here you guys go. All right. You guys have a good day. >> Beetlejuice. Do you actually do know of Beetlejuice or you just wear the shirt that says >> she actually is one of her favorite movies? Really? Halloween baby. So, she's hilarious. >> All right. >> You're a Halloween baby. >> Okay. So, you like Halloween? Okay. I have a dog. His name is Ghost. I got him on Halloween and he's white and so he hangs out with me. He's a puppy. He's 11 months old. 11 months. So, he's a puppy, but he's 110 lbs. >> We got two. >> Yeah, he's massive. >> He's massive. >> We got two. One, one, and mix. >> Really? That's awesome. I love dogs. >> I got a mask now. She's lazy. >> That's my ghosty. >> He's white. feed there. That's the one we got. >> Big old white dude. >> He's a big boy. >> It is an She is an exo bully. >> This is the one that'll bark at anything. Me and Blow, she barks. [laughter] The other one, he'll just sit there and >> I'm like, you don't even bark at strangers. >> How long have you guys been staying here? >> About a year. They're trying to get out of here, but they want 12 to 13 to two grand for a house, >> right? Yeah. >> Or even an apartment these days. And I'm like, >> I need a new job. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. completely >> times the mount. I'm like, >> who do y'all know that's a famous rapper right now? Because I need [laughter] >> Have you guys Have you really been looking for a different place to to be staying? >> Hotel. >> Have you Have you talked to our homeless outreach team? >> Where? >> Our homeless outreach team. >> I know. I know you >> what the last one when they shut down um >> the canary I think it was I don't know what they called it after the canary but you know what I'm talking about. They told us we'd have to get rid of our dogs >> just to get a house and I'm like I don't have >> You don't understand how much I've paid for these dogs. Like one cost $300 by himself. >> I like meeting people that need help. >> Okay. Um you got cute kids. I got a daughter her age. >> I'm going to tell you right now, we had somebody, we were sitting there, I had two buddies over one night and some dude, random dude, started eyeballing my kids and they were like, "You weren't worried." I said, "I've got three knives, a pokey item, and four things of crit ball. I don't think he wants to walk in here." >> Not including mommy bears. Not including mommy bear sitting 10 feet from me. I got a pit, two pits in right there to get to get. But like I was saying, I I don't I don't like seeing >> uh I know what what's around here and I know what's going on around here. >> Okay. >> And and the kids don't need to be around here. >> Okay. I used to work this area >> and it's a dangerous area. >> I I went away for a while. >> The last two weeks I've I'm back >> and it's been worse than ever. >> That's why I I haven't met you guys and I haven't seen you guys. I've seen y'all around, but I've never came up. And I was like, because I don't like I'm bad. >> I don't mind cops. Like, I respect y'all, don't get me wrong, >> but most cops like me because they like to slap the handcuffs on me. And I'm like, when I see a cop, they're like, "Which way do you go?" The opposite direction where they're standing. >> I want I I want the vest for you and your kids. So, I'm going to reach out to a couple people. Okay. Um and and let let me let me get a phone number for you. They might reach out to you. Okay. They're they they'll probably reach out by phone. A few things that that they'll have to make sure of. Okay. >> That you're not going to become violent, >> that you're clean, >> okay? That your wife is clean. >> Okay. Um >> Hey, baby. Hey, baby. >> You might want to listen to this man. He is going to help us. >> I'm I'm I'm going to I'm going to try to help you guys. Okay. I'm I'm going to reach out to a couple different agencies that I know of >> uh to try and get you guys some help. Okay. >> I I don't like you. I I I don't like you guys being here. >> I've never I've never met you. I have no clue. >> I see these two two beautiful kids here. They do not need to be living here. >> You guys and and I'm not saying that that's anything on your your fault or anything. What I'm saying is sometimes people need help. So, I'm going to do what I can to help you, okay? I'm going to reach out to some people. Um but like I like I was telling him, there's a few things that that they're going to want to know. They want want to make sure you're not going to be violent. >> They got to make sure that you clean. >> Okay. >> You got to be clean. >> Bye. >> Fist pop. >> Boom. >> Huggy. >> Huggy. All right. There we go. >> Willie. >> Boom. William. >> Whoa. >> There we go. >> All right. Take it easy, guys. All right. >> Uh, just a little debrief over that one. Uh ba basically we saw some kids that saw us on our car stop from earlier. Uh we wanted to stop and just talk to them. Uh while talking to them, I spoke with the father. They they told me that they've been living in this hotel uh which is known for uh a lot of drugs and violence. They've been staying here for over a year. They try to keep to themselves. Uh, so I got their information and and I'm going to attempt to reach out to our homeless outreach team and see if we can get them into a better living condition uh so that those kids are a little bit safer and and have a better environment to thrive. >> So, we're headed over to a DV call. Um, adult son supposedly got evicted from the landlord. Mom wants him to leave and he's not wanting to leave. So, we'll get there and we'll figure out what's going on. Yeah, it's this house right here. What are you up to? >> So, what's going on? >> Um, so I was Oh my god. Are we on cops? We're going to be, aren't we? >> I'm You have no idea. I'm so excited. Um, >> this is perfect too because >> what is going on? Just >> sorry. Uh, let me uh we all lived at this residence we have for about a year. Um, I was asked to leave or remove myself or whatever. And I was like, "Okay, sure. I can do that." And then I got out there and realized that, >> dude, I cut off all my friends. I cut off everything that I thought was bad for me. I cut off, >> like I said, everything that I thought. >> Did you Did you get evicted from here? >> No. There's been >> this is your mom. >> This has been absolutely um there's been no paperwork filed and that's actually what I'm asking for now because I need the 30 days. Um I'm waiting on an interstate compact to approve so I can go to a year-long rehab program. That's it. >> Hi. What's going on, Tammy? >> All right. So, story backstory. Um I don't know if my son kind of explained what the situation. So, he got out of prison about a year ago. Uh, you know, at the beginning, everything's all right. Um, unfortunately, he kind of got hooked back up with some of his other friends and got into some stuff that was not healthy for him, which caused his anger to flare. I may or may not have helped that because even as much as I try, you know, I get frustrated too as a mom. So, in some of those angry incense pieces of the house that broke, unfortunately, the last time that I I was tried to kick him out multiple times. Last time I tried to kick him out, he uh he kicked in the door and the very next day, my sweet little landlord had noticed that the at the time the screen door was broken and so we had just taken it off. sweet little landlord came and brought the new screen door and of course tried to install that obviously the door was broken from what the landlord told me which my son is not very inclined to believe. He was more upset by the fact that um Garren wasn't honest completely about who broke the door because he just said we asked somebody broke came in the door. He didn't say I kicked the door when the landlord already knew. So at that point in time, it took him a couple days, I think, to calm down and then he said 90 days to get out. >> So So the landlord said he >> if he goes, he won't evict you. >> You get to stay. >> And so >> has anyone been served the eviction notice? >> No. And I don't know if either one of us understood how that he was afraid that if he filed an eviction it would affect me. >> So he's he's got residency here. Okay. He has he does he has to be here. >> Yes. He has to be evicted. or you can go get a PFA or PFS >> on him from the property and >> but until one of those legal documents are served to him, >> we can't >> I understand >> keep him from the house. >> So the family job >> I can so I don't know if there's then be enough >> um to involuntary take him. >> It would >> I can >> if I can take the time to do it. Unfortunate. >> I mean, I can ask him if he wants to go to sack and sober up. >> He's he's been sober apparently for 4 days is what he >> Well, sack sack basically >> um will only help him get sober. >> Garren. >> Yes, sir. >> You going to help me or you going to hurt me? >> Are you sober right now? >> Yes, sir. >> Um well, from my doc, I could say that's about it. I was like, I didn't know if you would want to go to sack and try. >> Well, okay. So, look, I'm I'm waiting >> to get some help there. >> So, your mom your mom is afraid that if you stay here, >> if you stay here, the landlords then evict everyone. >> Yeah. Yeah, I understand that 100%. All I'm asking for is the due process. You know what I mean? If I'm going to be kicked out on the street when um I've been >> Is there anywhere you can crash? I I look, I burnt all those bridges for a reason, you know, and it's not even that I burnt them. It's just that I left them alone, >> which was what was bad for me, right? All I tried to do was focus on my family and myself. And I mean, I could give you what I feel or I could give you the answers that you're asking for it. It's >> When was the last time you used? >> Four days ago. >> Four days ago. >> And I actually became an IV user. So, I mean, like four days ago. >> Where do you go during the day when you're not here? >> Well, nowhere. I my my old man my dad I guess it's weird when I say my old man because it sounds like my uh he got me a hotel room for a couple days and I stayed in it and um like I said I'm I'm waiting it takes 40 up to 45 days for them to approve an interstate compact. They applied for it two weeks ago. They have till June 17th or is it June June July? They have till July 17th to approve said Interstate compact, which means I have nothing because I've distanced myself from all of that, you know, >> cuz I'm I'm at the point to where >> there's nothing I can do. >> Yeah. >> So, I'm trying to be the middleman on what can we do to >> make this situation better. >> I'm doing it. I've done everything I can. Both >> whether cuz your mom doesn't want to get evicted. >> Yeah. I don't want her to get a big >> and that's why she doesn't want you here. >> Yeah, but uh >> but at the end of the day, I can't keep you here. >> Do you want me to sit out in the sun and bake all day for the next 30 days or run back to >> But what I'm But I don't want any of that. Okay. >> I know. Those are stupid questions. >> I'm just trying to find >> an even middle ground. >> Yes. But if your landlord does something, he's probably going to evict everyone. >> Yeah. >> So now it puts everyone out. >> Well, that gives me what I need. Don't you understand that? But >> I need 30 days. >> So So you're okay with putting your mom out on the street? >> I know she'll take care of herself. >> She's not going to be out on the street, buddy. That's a silly That's a silly. >> You You working anywhere? >> No. >> Why not? >> Really, all I have to give you is an excuse. You know, that's all you're going to view it or accept it as. Uh and >> so so you know it. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. For sure. I'm a very >> That sounds like a >> not I'm aware. >> Yeah, there's there's people that will hire. It may not be the best job, but it's something. How old are you? >> I'm 25. It stopped happening a long time ago. I understand that. >> Uhhuh. >> But I'm also trying to figure out what makes me me. What are my >> She She could go down to the S County Courthouse and get a PFA from you and she could have you removed from this house tomorrow. >> Well, at least I'd have a day of air conditioning and water. >> But she doesn't want to do that. >> Well, I don't want to. Oh, >> either. >> Where have you been at all day? >> Um, well, I tried to take in this illegal ass piece of tried to take uh this stroll that I'm seeing, I guess you could say using is probably the more correct term. Tried to take her to work, but the tranny's going out on it. So, my mom ended up taking her to work and I limped all the way there. Sat there, drank a beer, drank another beer, ate some food. >> So, he's saying that he's going to grab his stuff and leave. I don't know where >> he'll go to my house. >> Okay. So, >> but he's allowed to come back is what you're telling me. >> Just tell him >> until he either moves out willingly >> or you get a PFA or he gets evicted. Have to have a >> legal [music] court paperwork showing that >> the landlord's not answering. And I don't even know what the process is to to get the eviction paperwork file. >> Dustin, take the longest part. >> What is the process to do the PF whatever >> PFA? So with the disagreement between the adult son and mom, uh we worked it out. There's nothing criminally going on. So we came to a decision um where everyone is at least um happy for the night and hopefully nothing else happens. uh to where someone ends up going to jail for their actions later. So, going to a party call. Somebody who doesn't want contact is saying >> that they're having a loud party. Asked these people to stop earlier. They did not stop earlier and so they called us out to talk to them. So, we're going to go tell them to turn down the music or whatever they're doing. Hopefully, they hopefully they stop. >> [music] [music] [music] >> You guys okay? getting an ambulance [music] >> to a intoxicated person. Highly intoxicated person. [music] [music] >> Turn off the music. It's 1:00 in the morning. Way too loud. >> We can You want us to lower the music? We can lower it. >> Uh I I turn it off. I We We We have multiple people complaining about the music. How loud it is. >> We don't want to cite you guys. >> If we have to come back out here, whoever the owner is going to start getting tickets and citations, we have to >> have to go to court. >> Okay. Thank you guys. Hopefully they turn off the music. If you have to come back out here, we're going to have to sight sight the owner. Uh, which we let him know. Just that's way too loud for 1:00 in the morning. People are trying to sleep and can't be having it that loud. The guy in there, he kind of was like, "Oh, we'll just turn it down." Well, that doesn't always work. We normally tell people just to turn it off because we tell them that they can play it a little bit loud, then they take advantage of it and play it too loud and then we get called back out. So hopefully they keep it off and we don't have to come back out here. >> We're on our way to a hit and run. The NHP called out. Uh they when they showed up on scene, the driver of one of the vehicles took off on foot. So we're going to go see if we can track whoever it is down. Um, we're going to use the thermal because it's so dark outside. Usually they can we can see whoever it is out in the desert with the thermal. Um, but yeah, we'll go see what we can find. >> All right. >> Can you come over here? I got her in the bushes. >> What's your location? I'm right in front of the racetrack. >> Copy. >> Ma'am, stand up. I got you on thermal. Step out of the bushes. >> Let me see your hands. Hands up high. Come over here to my car, please. Go ahead and grab the hood in my car. >> Grab onto the hood of the car. Are you okay? >> Yeah. I was just peeing and now I have a whole scene at my car and I'm scared. Huh? >> I was just at my car. I'm scared. >> What do you mean seen at your car? >> I I don't know who that is. I was just peeing and I >> What do you mean you don't know who that is? There's red and blue lights. That's a >> Yeah. I don't know. >> Okay. >> You know, I don't know. >> Okay. I want you to hang out right there for me. Okay. If they're aware, it's it's fine. She just admitted that it's her car they're out with. >> Hey, Schlenner. >> I appreciate it. >> Schlenner. Hey, ma'am. Do you drive the Mustang? >> Yes. >> Yes. >> Okay. It's the first time I've ever actually been able to see somebody on that thermal. [laughter] >> So, >> we get a call from Highway Patrol. They're asking for help uh locating the driver of a hidden of a of the vehicle who took off. I guess it was a accident involving another vehicle on the roadway. When they showed up, the pass the the driver took off. So, we're driving down the road with the thermal. >> We were able to find her on the on the thermal and she was out hiding behind the bush and when she saw us pull up, she kind of tried to duck down and hide. So, we're gonna go talk to highway patrol, make sure >> make sure they don't need any help. If not, we can >> hand her over to them >> and see what he's going to do with her. >> There's a chance she might go to jail for hitting run tonight. But on the flip side of it is she also might be intoxicated. So, we'll see. >> Is she deuce? She definitely didn't seem right. She was hiding in the bushes when I saw her. >> Yeah. I saw you pull up and I'm like, I knew she'd probably be close. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. Right there. >> Did she try to pass you or what? >> No, I mean it I was in the slow lane. They went around. I mean, I wasn't really paying attention. I'm just >> just driving >> just coming home. It was a 12 hour shift and uh >> you know I heard it and I was like oh >> you know it's not even a year old. >> Let's go take a look. >> Hello. >> Ah yeah >> all the way down. >> Oh boy. >> They uh they got pinstriped on the way home. So, [laughter] they're taking care of the police report right now, so I can get all the information. >> It's odd for her to take off running out in the desert just from something that small. So, we'll see what's going on. If she did, if she is drunk, that would explain why she ran off. No, RV is advising Dwayne Rogers has been trying to pass from her property. He's currently in her front yard going through her front van. He does have cautions in local. >> Ma'am, where are you coming from? >> Where's your house at? >> 349. >> Yes. >> Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. >> Where? What town? >> Why you coming all the way out to Per? >> Because I took a drive to Red Rock because I passed my house because there were cars there and I don't know if they were visiting my roommate. I've been having ex-husband problems. He'd been showing up at my house and threatening me. I didn't know if it was him. I didn't feel safe. I just kept on going. >> You've been drinking anything tonight, darling? >> Not at all. >> Not at all. >> No. >> Would you mind doing a Would you mind blowing my machine? Just tell me whether it's positive or negative for alcohol. >> Yeah. Yeah, for sure. >> You'd be okay with that. >> Okay. >> See this little teeny yellow dot right here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I need you to go right into it. Okay. >> All right. Ready when you are. >> Lost offers. Does he have a warrant out of our agency for gross misdemeanor to appear on? >> Okay. What I want you to do is I want you to wrap your lips around it. Take a deep breath and blow real hard. Okay. Ready? Take take a deep breath. Blow hard like you're blowing up a balloon. Cav's last known address, please. >> Copy. >> Okay, take a deep breath. Hang on. God, what's going on? >> Okay, take a deep breath. Blow. >> Say negative. >> Oh my god. >> Okay. Um, so what is your deal with the home, darling? Are you having like a paranor paranormal par paranoia thing or? >> Well, I'm having the next problem that a husband that is a very aggressive man that I've been divorced for 5 years that keeps popping up in my house and on my patio and in my room. >> She's negative trying to marry, you know, >> possibly. >> I'm alone. I'm scared. >> You guys start medics, >> huh? Can you start medic? >> Yeah. >> 12. Can you get medics down here, please? >> Well, >> stop. >> Well, so here's the deal, ma'am. You You hit a car. >> She's 421, Mary. >> And then you were hiding in the bushes away from your car >> while I was stopped behind your car with all my lights activated. So either So your car is being towed. >> You had two other cars there though before you? >> No, your car is being towed. Um because you're involved in a hit and run. Where's your license at? >> Uh, probably at home with my purse. >> Okay. Well, that's a great place for it since you're driving your vehicle. >> I understand, but I was threatened. I'm I'm >> Well, we're going to have medics come check you out cuz you're saying some stuff that doesn't make sense. >> So, I think it's a little weird that she was over there hanging out. She I just want to make sure she didn't drop anything. I mean, it's plenty of plenty of space between here and her car to where she could have tossed something. But where she was standing was right here behind the bushes. So, if she did throw anything, it would probably be on this road or in this wash. So, we just want to see if she did drop anything. I mean, she knew she was caught once I started h talking to her through the PA. I don't see anything. I'm going to ask you some very, very important questions that I need the truth to. Okay. Okay. Have When's the last time you used any form of narcotics, whether it's prescription or not? >> I don't. >> You don't take any painkillers or anything like that? When's the last time you smoked? >> Never. When's the last time you did? >> Never. >> Okay. These are silly questions, but I still have to ask them. Okay. >> But it's not safer to crash into people and hide in bushes on the side of >> No, it was not. That's not why. >> You were definitely hiding in a bush because when I pulled up, you you ducked down even further when I pulled up. So, >> what I saw I was actually >> What you saw was a cop car with its lights on. >> You know what? I didn't What? There was two other cars. There was a white one. >> There was your car and the car you hit. other cars other than the car you hit in my patrol car. >> The car? No, it wasn't. It wasn't a car. >> Cuz you told You told me No, no, no. You told me when I first showed up, you told me you pulled over to go pee and then when you were done peeing, you realized there was a cop car out there, which is not true because it took your mirror off. >> That's not what took my mirror off. You didn't ask that. >> 100% what took your mirror off. >> Hit the cop car. >> No, you hit the truck. white truck. I was passing it and it moved right into me. It knocked my freaking >> So, you did hit the truck and then you did take off into the desert. >> Just happened. I had a just pull over. What the heck? >> You realize you're in the wrong here, right? Like you're trying to play this whole, "Oh my god, I'm a victim." And that's not working. You were hiding in the bushes in the middle of the desert. >> There are plenty of cameras. I can tell. >> Yep. We got cameras on you. Every single one of us has a camera on you right now. >> Good. >> Cuz here here's your options. Okay. You're going to go to the hospital and get checked out or I'm going to take you to jail for hit and run. So those are those are your two options. Okay. So are you going to go to the hospital when they get here cuz you're not making a whole lot of sense and I don't know whether you're having some kind of like schizophrenic episode or something like that >> because you are saying crazy things. That's why. >> So, this is uh Miss Natalie Schwarz. She was involved in a crash and she was found hiding in the bushes. >> What town are we in right now? >> Okay. >> Do you know what year it is? >> How many quarters make a dollar? >> Is it morning, noon, or night? >> Do you have any diagnosed health problems? >> Do you take any medications daily? >> No. You allergic to anything? >> The seasonality. >> Are you okay if I touch your wrist? Feel your pulse? >> Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure it's I'm sure it's insane. >> Okay. >> A couple more personal questions. Do you smoke cigarettes? >> No. >> Do you drink alcohol? >> Any drug use, including >> Okay. All right. >> Is he still around? >> No. >> Did he finally get fired? >> Yes, very much so. Just asking go to the police station. Is it okay if we take you to the hospital? I'd rather not. >> What do you want to go to the police station for? >> They need help. >> Well, I think you need some medical help first for your mental health. Um, if you don't want to go with medics, and I told you I'll take you to jail, and then you can follow up for it once you go to jail. So, those are your options tonight. >> Let's go with medics. I'm not going to force you to do anything. But that's probably a good option because I don't mental health is all there right now. >> Once you get done with medics, then you can go file a report if you have something to report. It's >> the first time she said that. Been here for what, 40 minutes, and she's never once said she wanted to file a report. >> All right, so we got a call for an agency assist out here. Uh that there was a hit and run. Um, we show up the we're looking for this lady who's supposed to who supposedly took off on foot from the crash. Um, we had the thermal going and we were shining around. We could see her off in the bushes, so we called her out with the PA. Um, she turns out to be absolutely bonkers. Absolutely crazy. Um, so we get medics down here for her so we can they can take her to the hospital and get her checked out. Um, Bransky ends up towing her car. So, essentially, she can't be on the drive, can't be on the roadway anywhere. Uh, she's scared of her, uh, husband or ex-husband or whatever it was. Um, so hopefully when she gets out of the hospital, she doesn't call her crazy husband to come pick her up. Uh, also, she uh, Bransky is on her way on his way to the hospital. Give her a ticket for hit and run. And, uh, yeah, I think that's probably unsafe passing as well. So, all right. So, we're heading to an alarm call right now. Uh, it's unknown right now if it's a business alarm or a residential alarm, but what's weird about this one is it was triggered from the panel and then an a berg alarm from the back door. So, it may be that somebody came in through their back door to try to get the uh tried and then tried to turn off the alarm, but just because it's coming from the panel and it's a silent alarm, it's a little weird. We have an RP on landline referencing that auto theft. Thank you, Mr. Coffee. >> You were coming in quiet. Can I transfer to you? >> Car died in the middle of an intersection. [laughter] >> Somebody's inside. What's that? >> There's somebody inside. >> Yeah. >> Hi. >> Hi. How are you? >> Alarm. Is everything okay? >> Yeah. No, everything's good. I turned off my alarm. >> Oh, okay. Yeah, we just got an alarm, so that's why we're all here. So, >> Oh, okay. >> If everything's good, then we'll get out of here. >> Okay. >> All righty. >> Bye. >> Yeah, it turned out to be somebody came in through the back door and and shut the alarm off. Um Well, they thought they shut the alarm off. to set off the alarm. Get here. She confirms this is just a mistake. So, we're clearing from here. >> Uh we just got a call for a domestic in progress at a Texico. Um apparently the boyfriend called, I believe, and uh stated that his girlfriend's going crazy and he's scared. So, he's inside the store and she's still inside the vehicle over by one of the gas pumps. domestic violence. Um they can lash out on you or lash out on anyone else that is around. Um half the time they're super emotional and uh they don't really care for anybody else's life or if they hurt anyone else. So when we get to a domestic violence situation, we like to take extra precautions, keep distance, watch hands, especially with her being inside the car. Uh we don't know if there's any weapons inside. So >> hi. >> I'll get the door for you. >> There you go. She's been very aggressive. I just don't want it to escalate to something where it becomes physical. >> Okay. What's her name? >> Her name is um Tiffany. >> No, sir. >> Okay. Just hang out right here and I'll go talk to her. Okay. >> Thank you. >> What's going on? >> Um nothing's physical. They're just arguing back and forth. Uh her girlfriend and her arguing over a phone charger. She's got to drive to Atlanta. She just wants me to talk to her and see if I can calm her down. >> Got it. >> So, I was told y'all arguing over a charger and you was slamming doors. >> I just bought a charger. I just bought the charger. How you going to bring me out of state? I just want to call officer. All I said was just take me home in the back seat. >> What's the problem with the back seat? Is that a yes? >> It's her vehicle. >> You want to get back home? Correct. That's your main purpose is to get back home and not be outside, right? >> Yes. >> So, how can you do that? By sitting in the passenger seat, not saying a word to her, not making her feel dirt in any type of way. But I get she's weaponizing. That's what I'm saying. Listen to me. I'm a black I don't I don't play like that. I don't play like that. I don't play like that. I I really don't play like that. I'll get in the passenger seat. Like, >> this is ridiculous. >> Problem solved. See? Thank you. >> You stay here. >> You got someone to pick you up. >> I'll stay. You don't feel comfortable with somebody riding in the back seat, but you feel comfortable with them in the passenger seat. All you would You just You just want control. That's all it is. Control. How long have you guys been together? >> Abusive. So abusive. And the crazy thing is my friend, they told me not to come. They told me not to come. Financially abusive, verbally abusive, emotionally abusive all the time. You doing all of this? You called the police just because I'm not an Uber. You're not going to ride in the back seat. I'm not a Uber. I'm not a Uber. >> Where are you from? >> We're Atlanta. >> Oh, okay. Where'd you go? >> To Birmingham. >> And then you're going back. >> Right. And then look how you weaponizing this now. You going to call the police because I laid in the back seat. You looked at me. I'm >> N. She said that you were acting crazy. >> How am I acting crazy? Cuz the people in the gas station, if I was acting crazy, they would have called the police on me. Now I'm upset. Yes, because all I said was, "Take me, just please take me home. Please just take me home." >> Was she fighting with you beforehand? >> No, there was nothing to fight about. That's what >> So just all of a sudden >> because when she don't get her way, you want me to patch the receipt? You want me The only reason you brought me on the trip is you didn't want to leave me home alone. You want to control everything. You want control over everything. You're going through my phone and you're making sure that I have no access to anything. You're cutting me off from my friend. Tactic. Tactic. Domestic violence abuse. >> How did you guys all meet? >> Tactic. A mutual friend. >> Okay. And they told you >> she told me that she's freaking bipolar. She told me and you still went out with her. >> Mental health don't mean that there's something wrong with depressed and stuff like that. that don't necessarily mean people don't deserve it. >> Bipolar is a different different beast. Especially if you're not medicated and taking care of that, >> then it's like you just want to sit here and control the situation. And then I I guarantee you >> I guarantee you we get back to Atlanta, she Oh, you really want me to go home? Yes. >> Yeah. >> Cuz I don't have time for this. >> You accompanied you on a work trip. Why would I act a fool on a work trip? >> Yeah. >> I sat in the room all day. Nothing. I don't I have nothing to do. nothing to do in Birmingham but to sit there with she sit there with you. >> Yeah. >> So guess what? When she gets mad, I'll keep >> When she gets mad, I can't do anything. >> Yeah. Well, I think you know what you need to do when you guys get back. >> Thank you so much, officer. >> Take care. Have a good day. >> I'm sorry. >> Uh we're headed to an 1150, which for us is an accident with injuries. uh from what the CAD is saying or our system which our calls come in on is it's a three vehicle accident. Uh female complaining of chest pain. Um 1150s are one of the things we're authorized to uh run lights and sirens to 763 1023. What up? >> Is it all Is it just two, not three? >> Yeah, there's two. She's going to hospital. They didn't have any injuries, but their their car is technically disabled, but the bumper's pushed up against the tire. So, they're going to try to get the tire off the bumper off the tire so they can drive in. >> Cool. Cool. >> I haven't talked to him about towing this one yet. >> Is hers just chest pains? >> Yes. >> Okay. Is she the only one in here? >> Uh, he's driving. She's in the passenger seat. He's standing right here with her. >> Okay. >> Hey, buddy. Grab her. >> Do you uh Were you driving? Yes, sir. >> Okay. What happened? Just in your words, >> I didn't catch a line that changed and I went to stop and gentleman over here assended me. >> Were you turning from >> Oh, turning glass. You can see right there on the pavement is out of the back of the car. >> Okay. So, you were turning this way. Do you know if your light was green or red? I take it must have been I was green when I started or I started follow with traffic through and the wife hollered that they changed red so I would stop and next thing I know I got >> Okay. And he was directly behind you. >> Awesome. And then do you have uh your license and insurance card? And were you in the right hand lane or the left one? >> This one. The right hand lane. >> Farthest. Okay. Awesome. Awesome. >> And are you lucky enough to be retired? >> Yes, ma'am. How many? >> 77. >> Soon to be 78. >> You look good for your age, man. >> Oh, thank you. >> Um, and then were you guys wearing your seat belts? >> Yes, ma'am. >> And do you know about how fast you were going? >> I have no idea. I wasn't going that fast because >> you say maybe like 5 10 miles an hour or so. >> Probably somewhere in there. >> Okay. And then what are you uh going to do with your car? If you want to go up to the hospital with her and leave uh your car here, I mean it's off the road. That's up to you. Um, >> I'll just >> Or if you want to drive if you want to drive up there with her. I don't think your car is disabled. >> No, ma'am. I think it's okay. >> I do, too. And is that your insurance card you got? >> Uh, let me >> Okay. I'm going to go talk to them while you're looking for that. Okay, buddy. >> All righty. Who was driving by chance? You were Do you have your license on you? I do. >> And then you working anywhere right now, man? >> Sorry. >> Are you working anywhere right now? >> I am. Um, I'm a Catholic priest. I work for the arch dascese of Mobile. Say >> arch uh arch dascese d i o c e s e of mobile. >> Um and then you guys were all in the car too, I'm guessing. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Where were you guys sitting at? >> Front um right behind >> back seat. >> Yeah, back seat. >> Yeah. Uh so you were here. >> Yeah. Were you right behind the driver or the passenger? >> He was behind the driver. He was behind the passenger. I'll start with him, buddy. >> Did you see the light change at all or anything? >> I didn't. I was I guess I looked back and then when I looked again, he was stopped. >> Okay. >> Okay. No worries. And you know about how fast you were going if you had a guess. probably like >> 15 10 to 15 miles an hour. >> I'd say 10. >> Yeah. Okay. I'd agree with that. That sounds good. Is that your insurance card? >> It is. Um not sure it's current, but >> that's okay as long as it's the same policy number. >> Uh so that call uh came out as a three vehicle accident. It ended up just being two. Um it was just a simple rear end. one of the uh the vehicle that got rear ended. Um the passenger went to the hospital for some chest pains. Um didn't appear to be any obvious injuries. I think she was more scared than anything. Um but vehicles were able to drive. Other than that, everybody was okay. A call came up through 911 on our CAD stating that there's a reckless driver on our interstate that's heading towards Birmingham. Um, apparently it's a Hispanic driver with a squatted um, blue Honda Civic and uh, state's been notified. So, me and Officer Quinn are going to sit at the exit to see if it passes by and then assist with the troopers on getting it stopped. >> 1056. I got eyes cancel off the road driving on the shoulder. Uh westbound I 20 from the 179. Uh he is off on the left hand side there right behind that uh trailer or uh camper. subject on the road. 76 speed 78. >> We just passed the 177 mile marker. coming. >> We're slowing down to 54 milesPH. So, we're in a 10100 with this vehicle right now. Uh he's swerving all over the road and officer Quinn stated >> Lincoln spikes. >> Uh stated that uh he's reaching all over the car. The one of the callers said that uh he had a beer in hand. So, right now we're waiting for state to catch up and hopefully get some spikes out or pit them and then uh get them to stop. >> Subject 729. If he stops here, we'll stop 104. >> We're stopping right before the East Boa exit. says she's slow rolling on the side of the road. He is reaching all over the uh vehicle. We're over here. We got out. >> Got enough room. Show me your hands. Show me your hands. >> Show me your hands. Put your hands out the window now. >> Both [screaming] hands. Both hands. Both [screaming] hands out the window. >> Put your hands out the window. >> They're on his face. Seenor hands out window. Out the window. >> Get out. [screaming] Get out. Lay flat down on the ground. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> Get on [screaming] the ground. Lay down now. >> I got people. >> Don't move. I'll shoot you. Don't give me your arm. Help me, please. Yeah, you're good. You're good. >> Hispanic. >> Yep. Go ahead. >> What are you reaching all over the ground for, dude? He was reaching all >> Yeah, he was. Oh my god. >> Lean back. >> Can't tell if he's got a hernia or if he's got a bag of carnage. Turn him. >> All right. If he doesn't have a bag of Oh, >> I'll put him in the car. >> Put him in your car. >> Yep. Get him. >> Do you need gloves? >> I was sitting at the 179 on the uh on ramp and he was >> he was digging, bro. I was like, "Oh my god, he's about to wipe out right here." You said that much. >> Does he have a wallet or anything? >> Oh, yeah. There's four cans right behind the passenger seat. >> 104. What did the North Carolina plate come back to? You didn't run it. >> I got a 1028 through North Carolina. >> Lima Delta Delta 2130. >> Quinn, I bet you he was reaching down and getting those cans >> and putting them in the back. >> Yeah, I have no idea. >> That's the only thing I can think of. >> Well, that's what I was telling Reese. I think maybe he was trying to slam a few beers before he went to jail. I mean, I don't know, but he was clearly reaching. >> Oh, yeah. I saw him dip down. >> Even when we stopped, he was dipping down. So, me and Officer Quinn, um, we got it stopped right before one of our exits. Um, he's Hispanic, didn't understand any English on any of the commands that we were giving him. Um, I made a comment seenor that he actually stuck his head out and he pointed towards the handle outside and I said, "Yeah." So, he got out of the vehicle, his back towards us with his hands up. Still wasn't uh complying to our commands. So, I made the approach to get hands on him. And then officer Quinn came up and helped me get him in handcuffs. Searched him. Put him in the back of the car. He's a lot safer in there than he is out here. We searched the car. We didn't find anything other than beer. You found me? >> No. A lot of open alcohol. >> Oh yeah. There was about five cans of open beers. And then so the the rest of the case was behind the driver's seat. We saw them dipping down into the passenger seat floorboard. And I believe that he was taking his empty cans and putting them behind the passenger seat cuz that's where I found all those. Um, we're waiting for the tow truck right now to come pick up the car. Um, the tag does come back to the this Honda and then there was a Birmingham uh license plate in there and it came back also to the car. So once the tow truck driver gets here and gets it up on the flatbed, we'll head back to the station and get them booked. And then hopefully we can either communicate with them through a translator or call one of our officers that he speaks um Spanish and uh can try to translate with them so he knows what we're asking him and what we're doing. Oh, [music] heat, heat. [music]
