Entitled, defiant, and convinced they're invincible. These Karens just found out what happens when that fantasy collides with the real world. Here are five cases when super entitled Karens think they're untouchable. Number five, this woman tried to turn Siri into her defense attorney. Officers respond to a call from a marina where a woman refuses to leave the fuel dock. The marina's staff say they asked her to leave due to the behavior, but she refuses and challenges their authority. Officers approach and ask her to step off the boat, but she declines and demands to speak with someone else. Ma'am, get off your boat. Don't touch your boat. It's properly tied. Properly tied. All right, ma'am. You're not going anywhere. Ma'am, get off your boat. Come on. 568. Uh, can I get one more uh routine? Ma'am, you need to get off your boat. 1000. Ma'am, get off your boat. Morning. Hey, good morning. Do you have her info? I do not. Great. She is because of Great. Well, she's going to jail for resisting. And you guys got to figure out what's going on with this vote. Decide that I've committed a crime to be arrested for, which I have not. You know whose vote it is? Whose voting me for resisting I have not committed a crime? Yes, ma'am. Told you to identify yourself. You walked away. I told you to stop legally. Yes, you do. You're on the city marina. You've been told to stop smoking and and now you're drinking. You have an open container. Smoking and I absolutely You have an open container. Cigarettes right there. I'm not drinking out of it. Did you see her drink from it? Didn't see your drink from the container, but I watched her throw half of her cigarette into the No, I most certainly did. And littering in my head, ma'am. I got c We got cameras here. Then go watch them. Okay, that's fine. Get off your boat. We could do this all day. Let me wait till I'm here till 5. We can do this all day. Um, I got I got two more coming. So, as officers continue engaging, she denies any wrongdoing. If I got to jump on this, I'm probably going to take all my off, throw it in there if you don't mind. And then, you know, if I got to get in, get down there and drag her out of the boat and drag her out of the boat. I'd say if you told her to leave, we told her to move from smoking. She couldn't sit here and smoke and it was a whole issue. Okay. So, and it went down from there. Didn't want to go. Okay. You got it. Thanks. Thank you. Ma'am, I need you to get off this boat. You still there? Yeah, I'm still here. I'm going to be here. All right. Panasonic case number two. Make sure she doesn't untie the boat and leave. Make sure she doesn't enter the boat. Will be here. Okay. So, she later. He asked her to leave. She refused to leave. Correct. Asked her down the dock. Yes. She was going to be smoking and then she wanted to speak to someone else. So, he went out there and he said, "Down the dock." And she twisted the end of her butt off through it. Through the water. Great. He is on his way back. He had to walk down there and he said that he saw her drinking at the dingy. Okay. All right. Nice. Great. Okay. 12. Ma'am, at the moment you were trespassing, you were littering. And we got people saying you were drinking on the docks. So, you need to get off that boat and talk to us. ID yourself and then maybe you'll go. You refuse to get off the boat and ID yourself, I will climb on that boat, drag you out of that boat and take you to jail. Instead of cooperating, she argues about jurisdiction and says the police have no authority on the dock. You're going to have an additional charge if he has to go on there and get you. Yes, I can. Watch. All right. Where can I store my gun belt? And right back there. Back there. All right, great. Here we go. Just right now. You don't have to talk to that. I am anal. Then then just come out of the boat. Here are your charges. Here are your charges. Littering is against C West. What did I litter? Ma'am sir, fellow officer rule. If he said you did, he did. Same same with the trespassing. You're trespassing on property. They want you trespass. They don't want you here. You're still here. There's one of your charges. Nobody asked me to leave. That is not what they said. They did not ask me to leave. I would have left had they asked me to leave. Just like I put out the cigarette when they asked me to leave. At this point, we just need you to ID yourself. We'll document we had this encounter. If I had to climb on that boat, I'm dragging you out of there. And you're going to lose your job. I'm losing my job. You have no jurisdiction. You want a bet? I have no jurisdiction. 600 ft 600 ft off the off the shore of Key West. I have jurisdiction. Actually, this dock funds a city. I have jurisdiction. You want to keep playing this game or you want to get off this boat? What are we doing? Officers warn her that refusing to cooperate could result in additional charges, but she keeps pushing the limits. Wait a minute. It's being your best interest. Just just exit and we'll explain everything while you are on the dock here. Okay. You're going to you're going to you're going to get another additional. They're trying to take my freedom for me for what exactly is my charge against? You're littering and now you're and you're trespassing. I littered what? And I'm not standing. You know that you asked me to and you're obstructing because you're not giving me your ID. Am I required by US law? Who are you talking to? Siri. How you doing, Sam? I take I took all my stuff off. It's in the It's in like the back corner right next to the steps. I don't care. Okay. Um You saw her drinking on the dock, correct? It was over on the dingy dock. She She's either high as or she's drinking and high. She had the bottle over there. And you saw her drinking, correct? Perfect. She was smoking. She literally she threw lid the cigarette sitting in front of the fuel pump. We go out and go, "What are you doing?" So, yeah. What would you like us to do in this situation? I mean, obviously I got ideas. I need a lawyer. May I have the number of a lawyer, please? And the officer is right here, ma'am. So, if you just get off the boat, there's no guarantee that you'll even be charged. We'll just get your ID. Understand why I have a deep mistrust of this situation. Yeah, absolutely. But if you come out and just talk to us, that's that's fine. As long as you get off the boat, we're not going to have a problem. Come on. Eventually, their patience wears thin and they move in. This isn't heading in her favor. I'm calling the lawyer. 1 minute. Please don't do that. Do not do that. Don't do it. Uh-uh. You got it. Yeah, this should be good. You're making this very difficult. Don't do it, gentlemen. You have You don't You're going to add Please don't. Then just come here. Let me call a lawyer momentarily. That's not how this works. That's not how this man. Yes. Steady. Um, I'm going to tell you that I'm trying to see that rear line. Don't come on this boat. I'm getting on this boat. And you're going to Is your body camera? Yep. All right. Cool. Hello. BPD is trying to arrest me for trusting. They're in my boat in the water right now. They're trying to My name is Melissa. Yep. I need to pick them up now. Is it tied on the boat or is it Yeah, it is. You're good. They are currently on the boat. Okay, ma'am. Right here. Right. Yes. Now he's going to put his hands on me. I've done nothing. He's Originally, my charge is resisting arrest, which what am I being arrested for again? He's got his hands on me. Stick throwing me. I need to keep my spinal cord intact. Thank you. I have a broken up. He's manhandling me. My name is Melissa. No. Get Get off on that side. I got to get off behind your hands behind your back. I'm currently being cocked. Well, you should have listened to lawful commands. We'll have to have someone on the outside car. She's taken into custody with minimal force, yet continues to insist her rights are being violated. Come on, P 100. 68 will have 1105. All right, man. Stand up for me, please. Broken. Well, no, it's fine. She's got more than enough for I mean, she's littering, which is kind which is an ordinance. So, I mean, too dangerous. Open container as well. Uh you guys asked her to leave several times. She refused to leave. She was smoking right next to the fuel pumps which is a danger to herself and everybody else. So, and then she resisted. I was like, "Just get I was like, "Give me your ID." She jumps on the boat, climbs to the back, and she starts, you know, getting all crazy. She's trying to get legal advice from Siri. It's like Gus said uh her ID is on that back. What's that? You want to take her to the car now? Uh, let's wait till Mark gets here. Okay. Be easier to explain to Mark if we're actually Let's go to the car. Oh, no. I think you're right. Yeah. Yeah. I don't care. I'm not going to lie. When I first jumped on that boat and started moving that way, I was like, "Oh, here it is." I thought we were both going in. No, no, no. That's what I threw the rope away. Oh, you good? Yep. I didn't have mine on because Yeah, I throw my there cuz I don't want to fall in the water drowning. All right. Bye. What's up? Just take some pictures uh of her and um transport her to great. I gave him the the update and the spiel and what we did. In contrast to how vocal she was earlier, once cuffed, she goes quiet, refusing to answer any questions during booking and giving officers the silent treatment. All right, you good with it? Yeah. All right. Do you have any injuries? Ma'am, do you have any fresh injuries? You're refusing to talk. Cool. All right. Stand up. Stand up. Yeah. Turn this way. Take a picture of your injuries. Sending it to my sergeant. Do you have any other injuries aside from the injuries in your legs? Okay, we're going the silent treatment. That's fine. You don't have to talk to me. All right. Here, grab a bag for me. Thanks. Do anything illegal on your person? Okay. If there's anything illegal on your person or in your backpack and it gets brought into jail, you're getting a felony charge. Is there anything illegal on your person or in your backpack? No. Great. Yeah. Yeah. Start looking through all that. What's in your hands, ma'am? The thing. Yeah. That I did not throw. Thanks. On the rocket. Okay. 103 clear from our location. Show us that perfect nail. Yeah, it is. As they search her belongings, officers find paraphernalia inside her bag. I think I have a med test kit in there. You do? Yep. Okay. Be th be thorough but careful with it. I mean it's windy. You want some light going on here. So, we found a what looks to be. Do you have any test kits? I do. You do? Yep. All right. Be right back. You used these before? No. Do you have you? No. Read the instructions. Read the instructions. Okay. What? So, you take this I'm pretty sure you take this out. You swab it. You insert the swab and then you break these plastic pieces. So, but I don't know how I'm going to get the best swab just by the way that's shaped. Unless uh I get out of the wind. It looks like there's still like some sort of residue in there and I can like dump it out. Well, wait. Wait till nobody's like downwind from us then try it out. They handle it with care and secure it as evidence. All right. You get anything on it? Wonder if I could fold it. Can I still get the even if uh even if that doesn't test positive? Yeah, of course. Okay. Last pipe consistent with your training and experience. A smoking device for for sure. Got nothing on there. It's the It's white stuff and it's not just it's not sticking on there. It's already contaminated as is. So, just uh just stick it in there, pop it, and I mean, worst case scenario, it's negative. Tattoo run. A field test is conducted on the spot confirming the presence of an illegal substance. Just like Henry like uh I found a bunch of one day and he hands me like a like a fistful wipes. Here you go, man. It's a little purple. You see? Careful you don't get any of that acid on. I'm not worried about it. That's perfectly as is. Okay. Um, how do I How do we pack it? How do we pack it in um 102? I usually put it in like the in sharps container or a wooden knife box just tie down secure. Here, let me uh I think I got a sharp container in the back. Come here with the glass. I don't think I don't think it'll fit. That's what she said. Yeah. Almost there. Doesn't fit. Out of there. Out of there. Would you guys have an issue going to the station packaging that? No. Great. All right. So, we're still waiting on Mark to get here, right? No, he's not. I can give him all the rundown. Okay. Okay. In the end, she's charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, and possession of illegal substances. Number four, she hit her grandma and thought she'd get away with it. Officers respond to a call from a grandmother who says her granddaughter is giving her trouble and won't leave the house. The grandmother wants her gone because she feels disrespected and says Maya has caused disturbances in the home. Here's what happens next. Again, I'm in my bed trying to go to sleep. You see where she done been over here? She live here. She was living here cuz she got evicted out of her house. How long she been here? She's pregnant. She's been here a month and a half months maybe. Okay. So, she just threw that off the porch. No. What? I don't know. while I was in my room sleep. Okay. She had a baby. They had to take it. Where's she at? Can I get baby's a pound and 4 oz? Is she inside? That's why she's here cuz she was pregnant and having problem. Can I talk to her? Go look at my house. Please go. What's her name? Maya, go look at her. She still live here. Did she live for the night or the police? Hey, Maya. It's Officer Johnson with Dayton. Where you at? I'm in my room right here on the right. What's going on? I can't I've been going all day. We had a disruption this morning where the police was called this morning. I've been gone ever since. When I came back, I knocked on the window to let my baby dad tell him to open the door. You told him to open the window. No, I didn't. Look at that's what I'm saying. Every time I try to talk to her, this is what she do. Okay. My Lely even told her like it's just one stealing out her purse and everything like what the it's not her. Okay, so I came home. I'm like I'm knocking on the door and you see the sign on the door say not cars cuz she can't hear. So I'm knocking. Nobody answer. My baby daddy was here at the time. So okay, but I didn't know that. So I knocked on the window. I'm like, can you open the door so I can lay down? I come in here and she heard me as she's coming down home. I'm like I'm just going to lay down. I'm literally sitting in this chair right here trying to roll this. I didn't ever roll it. Maya claimed she was simply trying to relax but insist she's being blamed for things she didn't do. Yeah. Literally. How old are you? I'm 21. Yeah. Like this is what I have. I was literally sitting in the chair trying to roll this. She come like she looking in the room like, "Oh, what you do?" Like just automatically it's me. I tell I said, "Granny, I didn't do it." whole time. My baby, me and my baby dig until he put his hands on me, which is the second time today because the the first police officer could have took him earlier when he did the Maya. Yeah. Yeah. And they have it on body camera, too. So, you can you can you can mute. Yes, they do. They have it on body cam when he came earlier and the I called the police earlier and they have it on body cam. Okay. So, the See, that's what I'm saying. I'm not I don't want none of that. I don't want her Oh, that's my grandma. I'm not going to disrespect you. You guys were just arguing. Yeah, that's it. Okay. That was way earlier. I destroyed some property. What did I destroy? I don't know. She showed us something was thrown off the What was thrown? It look like a black piece of I don't know. That's what I didn't destroy anything. I don't have no ill will intentions towards her. Would you be fine staying in your room for the night? That's all I want. I just want to go to bed. I just want to I swear to God, I just want to roll this up and go to bed. Okay. You see, this is what I deal with. And you already talked to officers earlier. Yes, I did. Okay. And it's on body cam. They record the whole thing. Okay. And there was two officers here. You live here? Yes, I do. And I have mail. You want to see it? No, I don't care about that. How long you been here? I've been here a year. It'll be a year next month. But the police was here earlier and they seen what happened. So if I did that, you knew I would be in jail. Officers were here earlier. I'm sorry. Did you know the officers that were here earlier? the police. You know what they looked like? Um, one of them he was kind of like guffish. They were both Caucasian. She ran. Real tall big dude. He was like your height. I can say buff, but not too buff. But he was calm. He was real calm listening to everything. Both sides. As the conversation continues, she shares her version of events, positioning herself as the victim in it all. But I told him I didn't want him to go to jail. Mhm. So I just left. Okay. So you just left with that. Yeah. I told I told But I told the officer off I was sitt in my car till things died down. Has been here or where? No, he left. He left. Like if you see he even took my stuff out the door. Did he live here or he took my stuff when he was getting his stuff to leave when all this happened? He was moving out. Yeah. So that's why I'm saying when she's saying all this I did it. That's why I'm like, "Granny, I didn't do that." He's mad like, "But she won't sit there and take time to listen to me so I can tell her what happened." Okay, I see. Cuz look at my clothes. All my stuff is out in my drawers. Mhm. Hey, bro. She got an active broadcast. Who does? She does. What's the active broadcast? The DV. Okay. Okay. Domestic violence. Yeah. For what? I guess she called in. Your grandma called in earlier, but I never touched her. Filed a police report. But I called first. So, how? And I never touched her. and the police came. She called it early. I'm not going to discuss that with y'all cuz y'all going to see it when you go downtown. And then can you can you try to find the officer that I called this morning? Well, if you have a broadcast for your arrest, basically a warning is what that is. She don't even know she was drunk. She still apologized to you and I said I didn't want nothing to to I didn't want to disrespect you anything. Had me in the floor beating me today. What did you do? You have been punching me. I just did that just did I did that to you? Yeah, you did that to her. No, I didn't. What did you do to me? Did you not put your hands on me? I told you to get out of my house. Wait, what? Okay, so she can just put her hands on me, sir. Can you ask me that? I did not take the previous report. Okay. All I know is Can you Can you call me? I have I have to check and see. I'll read the report before we take you down there. That's fine. I want to help you open it. Yeah, because I called I called first. So, how Well, it's not a matter of who call it's not a matter of who calls first. That's not that's not the magic rule. Maya is eventually taken into custody, still visibly upset and confused about how the situation unfolded. This is crazy, bro. I really did nothing wrong. Yeah. Who the hell pumpkin? So I can't do nothing to stay home. I told you I'm going to read the report. No, I'm I'm just asking like I don't want no problems or nothing. I'm just asking what you do to stay home. If you're not actually wanted, then you'll be able to stay home. Okay. But I have to read the report first. Get in the car. report. No. So, you have a active. He said he was going to read the report. It doesn't matter. What's your name? Yeah, you have active. Yeah. So, nobody did nothing when I thought about them putting their hands on me. Were you here? You weren't here this morning. Yes, I was. The first time I called this morning, I'm the first person who called today about them. Nobody. That's what I'm saying. Like, what's going on? Hey, we weren't here earlier, so we can only get based off the report the other officers type. So, you can't even That's what I just read. or something. Officers explained that in domestic violence cases, personal discretion isn't an option. If there is a report and a warrant, they're required to take action. But how do you guys let people just lie and let you take innocent people? Like I said, we weren't here this morning. Yeah. The only thing we know is that we have an active domestic violence broadcast out for your arrest. Who did I do Domestic violence is like abuse? Correct. Who did I touch? Your grandma. I didn't touch her, though. That's why I called the police at 9 this morning. Okay. We're not doing this stuff. You have That's But I'm just asking how the system works. You have a broadcast out for your arrest. Yeah, I definitely understand that, sir. I'm just asking like how it works. We have zero leeway when it comes to domestic violence. So as soon as someone says domestic violence or Okay. mentions anything like that. Yeah. So why did nothing happen this morning when I called about domestic violence and when my baby like you said I don't know because we were not here. Okay. I was asking though I understand that. Well clearly you don't cuz you're still asking. What's up? He has attitude. So I mean he said the same thing for No, I'm just asking questions. You have to ask question. We weren't here, so we have no clue why why our report was never done or anything. But I'm explaining to you why you're why you're going to jail today is because you have no active broadcast. You told me that. I was just asking like what happened earlier? Well, I know why I did nothing earlier. Did officer speak to you earlier? Yes. So, a report too. A report on body cam. Yep. And a report was made. Yeah. So, a report was made, right? Cuz I called. Yes. Why would I call for no reason? Two. Your grandma called in earlier this morning as well. I called first. It doesn't matter. First you're report Your report was done on your boyfriend and Hershey hit me too. That's That wasn't in the report. So So it wasn't on there. She does not have Can you watch the body cam without? I can't watch other people's body cams. I can only go up based off the report. When I did when I get out, I'll just Maya continues defending herself, claiming the system is unfair and insisting she's being wrongly accused. Yeah, I told them about that. I said I was going to stay in my car for the rest of the day. Like I was telling you, sir, told the police car the rest of she down. I'm not the one who get nothing. But then you turn on. So why didn't you watch my baby father? Is he on? Is he here? He left before you got there and you seen it. Did you not see my room? So here's the thing. How can How can he see my room? He seen I said he left. He said he leave. I said yes. How can I arrest someone who's not there? So he just can go around his hand. He has he has the same thing out. A probably an act of domestic violence broadcast. I want to press sharpness. Okay, you can do that. I'm just saying took me out twice. He's not arrested because there is He's not there. Yeah, he's he pulled up in a car with no license or an expired tag. Okay. We'll be sure to hunt him down once we're done. Y put his hands on me. Then I tried to tell my grandmother breath smells. I smell it through your stink. You don't let anyone do anything. I mean, we keep jumping out. I don't know. I don't know. I'm If I just got on shift two hours ago, how is it my fault that you got choked out? You're just obnoxious. That's what you are. Yeah, I'm obnoxious. You're obnoxious. You got choked out all night. I'm probably Yeah. Well, you probably should. I'm the one getting choked the out for nothing. I've been gone all day just for a piece of Probably should have beat your grandma off then. My grandma never do nothing to her. Even after multiple explanations, she remains firm in her belief that she's done nothing wrong. Why the would I touch my grandma? She old to touch her. How the [ __ ] would I disrespect my room? It makes sense. That's why she was sitting there yelling on the phone. I was stealing out her purse and that that third time I on the porch. call my first purse in your room. What if I was going to leave the park? Then I told the police officer, I said, "No, I'm standing right here." Maya is ultimately arrested and charged with domestic violence. Number three, lady tries to school officers on the law. Doesn't end well. During a routine patrol, an officer runs a license plate and sees that the registration is criminally expired. He pulls the vehicle over, but instead of cooperating, the driver immediately challenges why she's been stopped. I'm officer Cousins Police Department. Hello. How are you? What's going on today? I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out myself. What are you trying to figure out? Why you're stopping me? What have I done? So, your registration comes back to be criminally expired. Okay. Do you have your driver's license and registration on you? I do, but I would like to know what it is that you stopped me for before you even ran my tags. What have I done? So, I did a routine run on your tag and the fact that you followed me nose to nose in my rear. And your tag is like permanently expired. So, based off your unusual behavior, I did a routine check of your tag, which came back again per crimally expired. So, do you have your driver's license and registration? I do, but my problem is that I'd like to know what it is that I did wrong because I You're driving a vehicle with a crimally expired tag. But you would have to know that like you would have to run that. So then therefore, let me see your driver's license and registration. I'm not going to ask again. Okay. What I would like to know is what I did wrong before. You are driving a vehicle with a crimally expired registration. Let me see your driver's license and expiration or registration. Okay. But I would like to know what I did beforeand before you were even to run those tags. What is it that I ma'am? Driver's license and registration. Right. But I would like to know driver's license and registration. Ma'am, so if I were to tell you no, then what? Because I would like to know then you're going to be arrested for not identifying yourself during a lawful stop. But what is it that you would license and registration? What is it that you would have to stop me for the lawful stop? Because you're driving a vehicle with a crimally expired registration before you even ran my tags. I don't have to have a reason. The officer calmly explains that running plates is part of routine duties and doesn't require a specific reason. Still, she continues to push back and argue. Okay. You sure about that? 100% sure, ma'am. Okay. It's a routine run. Okay. Even though I didn't do anything wrong, right, ma'am? You're driving a vehicle with a crimly expired registration. I'd like to know before you ran my tags. Driver's license and registration. I'd like to know before you license and registration, ma'am. All right. So, I'd like to know before you ran my tags. Right. I'm going to ask one more time. And I'm going to ask one more time. No, I'm getting myself together. Grab it, please. Right. And I'm getting my stuff together, but I'd like to know. Okay. I will be happy anything else that you would like as soon as I get your driver's license and registration. Okay. But you have no reason why to stop me beforehand. Right. Again, I would have to No, no, no. I'd like you to No, no, no, no. I asked you a question, right? I'm I'm getting I'm getting my stuff together, but I'd like multiple multiple opportunities to get to registration. I am asking you one last thing. And I'm getting that together right now. Getting out of this vehicle. So, driver's license. I'm getting my stuff together right now. But I'd like to know beforehand before you even ran my tags, there was nothing that I did wrong. Driver's license, please. No, you're going to answer that question. All right. So, therefore, you don't want to answer that question. Okay. Let's grab our driver's license. Bryce, you don't want to answer that question. So, beforehand, there was nothing that I did wrong. All right. Okay. Are you No, no, no. No, no, no. I'm sorry. No, I'm not failing to identify myself. I am identifying myself right now. Now, what I would like to know is You're not identifying yourself. Driver's license, right? And I am. So, we're going to step out of this vehicle. And we can step out of this vehicle. Now, what I would like to know is Okay, let's step out of the vehicle. All right, let's step out of Eventually, she's ordered to step out of the vehicle. Will she go quietly or take it to the next level? Let's find out. Can I please have some space to step out of the vehicle? Okay. All right. Be my guest, ma'am. Thank you. May May I please have some May I step out of the vehicle or I'm going to take you out of the vehicle? Ma'am, I am not I'm um We're going to step out of the vehicle. Okay. Please.
