We're going to the Department of Motor Vehicles, the DMV. Someone's calling saying that there's some sort of pillar in the parking lot that's on fire. So, I'm assuming it's going to be next to the structure. So, we're going to we're right down the street. We're going to pull up here in a second, see exactly what they're talking about. Hi. What's up? >> Over here. >> Oh, man. I don't have my lashes on. >> I don't have my lashes on. Let's see what's on fire. >> Recording the wire in the bottom part that I think it's traveling up. >> Oh, like electrical maybe? >> Might be. Yeah. Oh, I see. >> Oh, you see the smoke? >> So, it looks like it's going to be inside the wall of one of the pillars by the front entrance. There's smoke showing. They use a flare to extinguish part of it. Break. It's possibly something electrical. They said they use the part of the extinguisher for that. You can see it coming out of the >> That's not good. >> Yeah. Oh, it's coming out the light now. You can see it's coming out the uh light fixture now. >> Is this pillar and then it's starting to come out the light fixtures right here. >> Light fixtures. >> Yeah. So, they called the DMV called us because they said they had a structure fire going on. Uh, we showed up and from what we can see, there's smoke coming out of the walls and it's starting to come out of the light fixtures right now. So, we're assuming it's probably something electrical. We're not sure if there's actually fire inside the wall, but the smoke is definitely getting bigger. We can start seeing we can see more of it now coming out of the wall. So, the fire department's going to have to get in there and probably either break the wall down or use their um the like they have a machine that's canteen and try to figure out where it's coming from, but uh they got to make sure there's no flames inside. I'm not sure how deep it goes into the walls and other businesses surrounding it. So, What's wrong? Robots again. >> Hello. I'm Daryl. How can I help you? The fire department's got a fire working. We're not sure how far deep inside it goes. It looks like it's electrical possibly. So, he wants everybody on the streets to evacuate. >> Get out of here. >> Yeah, >> we're I'm out now. >> Appreciate it. You need this unlocked and just get out so they can check everything. >> Uh maybe if it depends on how it spreads. You can leave it unlocked. It should be all right. >> Okay, good. I'm back. >> All right. Heat. Heat. ground. >> This was just the uh the dry >> run. So, we came to the DMV here, Department of Motor Vehicles for a uh structure fire. when we showed up >> and uh it looked like there was some smoke coming out of one of the structures in front of the entrance and it was coming from the inside of the structure and it slowly was spreading up towards the roof coming out of the lights and everything. So that was leading us to believe that it was possibly >> status >> an electrical fire and then it started to spread and get smoke started to get heavier. So when FD showed up they had to make some holes get to gain entry to the roof. one status >> gain entry to where the fire was. Um, we didn't see any smoke or flames, so everything is contained inside the actual structure. They're still knocking it down, trying to make sure that there's no other areas that are on fire. And then they got to do their assessment after they finish the initial fire uh fighting portion of it. So, they're going to be there for a while. So, [music] we're clearing out. There's going to be still on scene and then uh see what else we got the rest of the day. >> All righty. Right now we're getting dispatched to a structure fire. Uh central part of town. RP stating possible structure fire. Not show not sure what's on fire. Only thing they see huge flames. Um, so we're going to get there >> and uh assess the situation and inform our fire department what's going on. And uh hopefully it's not a structure. Sounds like the RP is at the park uh and sees lots of flames and smoke in the middle of the street. >> Oh, I see it. See that? >> Yeah. Oh, wow. Go. [groaning] Wow. That's a big fire. Uh, I believe make a left. >> I think it's going to be up Mount Charleston City Daytona area. The hell are we? Let's see. [music] Wow. >> Valley electric. We've got powerful fully engulfed as well. Yeah, look at that power pull. I'm going to move my car over to the side so we can get fire in here. You know what? >> I don't want to go under those. >> No, >> the wires. >> Yeah, that's do arc out any minute, I would think. Huh. Uh well getting fire on scene right now. We advise the Valley Electric, which is our electricity provider, that one of their poles is fully engulfed from the fire. Um, so we like to get them uh involved as quickly as possible just so they can shut the power down to this pole and fire can start coming in and extinguishing it and uh then fire will do their investigation and and determine the uh >> determine the uh >> be smaller fires [clears throat] starting >> uh due to the ash coming off the fire. Sounds like we got some smaller fires that are starting to kick up due to the ash that's uh coming from this fire. Come on. >> Well, what do you think happened here? >> Waters. >> You think so? >> Yeah. I wanted to go over, but I don't want to go under the >> the power poles. Yeah, that's the same thing. >> And then it snaps right when I'm trying to >> Yeah, >> that's getting intense. >> It is. >> You got little ones over there that >> handle those over there so it doesn't spread. Hey, >> I didn't want to get too close. I didn't want to cross with those power lines. >> So, I crossed up over there where it ended. I didn't know how far. So, if you go down by that pole, you shouldn't have an issue crossing. But, >> let's go. >> All right. >> What do you think happened? set on fire. >> Duty tow over. >> Not the first time this part on fire. >> That's two. >> You might be good over here. If it snaps, that's going to come down first. >> Yeah. Yeah. I usually go like a pole away from Damn, it's hot. >> And the ash is on now. This ash will start falling. >> When that warrant is going to be nonextradable, Clark County only. >> Yeah, Ash is coming down. At least it's not hot ash. [ __ ] >> Yeah, it looks like uh we finally got fire putting some water on this. >> It's spreading quick. A lot of this is dry as you can see. So, I mean, a fire out here, it spreads insanely fast. Uh, looks like they started spraying some overhead water on it, creating all the smoke. Uh, hopefully they can get this thing extinguished before it before it spreads any further. But, it looks like we already got a couple fire or a couple power lines engulfed. If you see over there, that one kicked right back up as well. They just put that >> they just they just sprayed that tree and it was down and kicked right back up again. So, uh, looks like we got the fire contained. It was not a structure fire. It was fire of brush. It was a brush fire. Um, they got it contained. They're down there right now on foot. They're checking out the area, making sure everything's contained there. Uh, Valley Electric did show up on scene and um did what they do concerning the electrical issues here. Uh, there's definitely going to have to be some maintenance on these power lines, but good thing is we got the fire contained. It's going to look like it's going to be fully installed. I'll be arriving. So, we're getting we're responding to a structure fire here in town. Um, from what we're getting, there's possibly four people that live at the residence and the house is fully engulfed. So, we're going to get there and uh see what's going on. So, possibly people inside the residents houses fully engulfed. Um, so we're going to get there as quick as we can. See if we can give any aid to the people inside. >> We're going to need several medics. >> So, we're getting ready to arrive. We got deputies on scene uh giving aid to some individuals on scene that are burned. House is uh from what it sounds like fully engulfed. Uh several vehicles and structures close by. Um it looks like it's pretty big from what we can see from here. So, 1823. >> I need an ambulance. >> All right, we got the ambulance coming, man. >> Oh my god. >> Here. I got I got you. >> My back away from my burn. I had no shirt. >> You guys go across the street. >> Okay, we're trying to >> here. You got a burn on your back? Yeah. Yeah. We won't touch it. Hey, let's come right over here. >> I know her hands are burned, too. >> My bad. >> Can you hold my hand? Can you hold it? >> I want my hand. >> Okay. Hey, Chief. >> Hey, Chief. Yeah. >> Why is the RV smoking? That is [ __ ] hot. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. a little light, but they're all gone. So, we responded to a residential house fire here behind us. Um, the initial call was that there was possibly four subjects inside. Um my partner arrived on scene uh where he made contact with two individuals who had exited the house uh with a couple animals. It's unknown. There's possibly other animals inside that uh did not make it out. Um the female was transported to Desert View Hospital uh for to be treated for some uh burns she received during the fire and uh fire arrived shortly after. Um and they're getting everything under control now. Um it's it's been uh it's at to the point now we don't have to evacuate any residences nearby. So we're just standing by and uh giving fire anything they need somewhere either in that back patio window. four in the front. >> So, Front Fire Rescue is dispatched to the 2400 block in Malard for a structure fire. While we were responding, we were notified that there's possible people entrapped within the structure and others were burned. So, our life safety objective was our paramount concern. As we were responding, we made the necessary assignments to our crews for potential rescue while also controlling the fire to allow us to go in there safely. As crews arrived on location, we found heavy fire conditions at the rear and the side of the structure. It was quickly filling the house with superheated gases and smoke. As crews entered the structure for a primary search, they experienced high temperatures, very low visibility, and uh deteriorating conditions. The roof started uh collapsing on the delta side. Crews were all pulled out safely. We went to a defensive exterior objective. We have since determined that one person was injured, sustained burns, and has been transported to our local flight crew and going off to our local burn center in Las Vegas. The remainder of the occupants, up to five additional people were evaluated medically, all determined that they were not injured. And a sixth person now has since arrived and indicated she also is not injured. Uh so all occupants are accounted for. We're in the process of searching for some animals, small animals that may still be in the structure, but we're in very cautious mode. We're in evidence preservation at this point as well as conducting a secondary search just to make sure everyone is out. Uh thus far, our crews have made good progress. Fire has since been placed under control. We're fortunate because this particular area has fire hydrants, so the crews were able to connect that and it sustain a water supply throughout the event. So overall things are looking okay except for one patient who has sustained burn injuries. His assistance with a burn trunk [music]
