You think you've heard it all until you see what these so-called mothers put their kids through. Here are five cases when cops discovered kids trapped with horrific monster mothers. Number five, 2-year-old rescued by church members. Mom faces police. Police respond to a report about a toddler walking near a busy road in just a diaper. A group from a nearby church sees the child and brings him inside while waiting for authorities. When police locate the child's home, they find the mother surprised and upset. >> Hello. Are you missing a child? >> Where my baby? >> Yeah, he's over here at the church. >> Are you serious? My little baby? >> Yeah. >> He didn't got out the back door. >> Yeah. Uh >> Montana, he >> Yeah, he's he's in >> He's in a diaper. >> Oh my god. Back door. The back door can't open though. Is y'all sure it's mine? >> Oh, I mean >> Oh my >> What he >> So the people who found what's wrong with TV? >> We got We got a call from somebody saying that either somebody here went to Walmart or something. I don't know. I >> Everybody know something. They said he was mad >> cuz they he they were always right here playing but not without me. You hear somebody? They got >> Yeah. Here's the Yeah, they got him in the church. Yeah. >> Uh oh. He play all the time. I got a back protector back there and everything. >> Oh my god. My baby could have got wind. Oh, >> they said they stopped him from getting to uh he said they said he started running towards division. >> So, where he at? >> It's Oh my god. Is he still in there? >> Thank you so much. >> Oh my god. How did he get out? >> She said >> I got there. She was sleeping. So, uh, she was on the couch laying down. Um, you'll have her for child endangerment all day. Do you have to? No, but like you know, >> it sounds like this isn't the first time. >> Yeah. So, um, yeah. Uh the one lady I don't know if you took any statements from anybody. I didn't. >> Okay. So I I'll get statements for you. Um if you just want to handle her uh but one of them said I they had to stop him from getting to division running across division. So yeah I will take the statement from one of them and uh we'll go from there. >> NTA or >> Yeah, it's NTA for uh child endangerment. >> She claims the back door is supposed to be locked and cannot believe the child managed to get out. Yeah, if you just look up child and danger see endangering the life and health of a child. That's it. So, yeah. Go with her. >> Oh my god, man. >> Thank y'all so much. I'm so sorry I had to go through that and myself, too. >> Oh my god. Did you serious? >> So, can you can you come to my house because >> I need to show you this. I'm so confused. >> All right. >> I got a child love. So I don't know cuz his daddy very overprotected. So I know he closed that door. So how did he get out? So somebody Did you go downstairs and open the door? >> No, I said >> cuz you was down there from school. >> I closed it. >> So is you sure you haven't opened it? >> No, I didn't. >> How the baby open? >> My mama. I'm telling you I didn't open it. >> [ __ ] >> I'm telling you. >> Y'all going to drive me up the walls. My baby. >> Oh my god. Y I could Y >> we got cameras in the house. We don't got nothing outside. >> I'm like over being a parent. Man, this is crazy because I'm right here in the living room, right? >> Uhhuh. >> And um nobody getting out that door though, right? >> You coming? >> I'm not thinking to go up to check nothing cuz my didn't know to close the the back door. >> Yeah. >> I got to show you this. Is the back door unlocked, babe? >> Cuz he couldn't get from me cuz I'm right down the couch when the officer came. >> It's unlocked. I closed it. >> It's closed. >> My child was in my room. He was right there in that room. >> So, move y'all. >> We got a camera right here though. >> You can see everything. We got a camera right there. >> My baby. Go follow your brother while I tell the officer this. >> Come on. Look, that's why I know my son came down here and opened the door. >> I'm temporar. >> Okay. Cuz it's got the child lock on it. >> Yeah. Look. >> Yeah. >> And my baby daddy gone. His bike be right here >> inside the house. She checks for explanations and quickly concludes that her older son must have unlocked the door without admitting it. >> And he had to Nico had to get some info. Mom, I didn't open the door. >> Cuz the baby can't get out of here. >> He can't get out of here. Look. >> Proof right there. >> All right. What's your name? >> My son came down here and open the door cuz I showed like, didn't your daddy tell you to come stay from the back there? And he was like, "Yeah." I said, "When you going to learn to stay from back there?" He was like, he gave me a smart answer. I said, "Keep playing with me." Cuz um he gave me a smart answer the whole time. That's when he probably had that door kind of unlocked. Okay. >> What's your middle initial? As you don't bring nothing out, Satana, do not come out the house, baby. Don't take care of business right now. >> Where something else in my house? >> I don't know. I don't even know how he got outside. Get back here. Open the door. Nico, open that back door. He just not admitting it. Go ahead, baby. Go in there. Sit down. >> All right. So, you're you're saying you were asleep. All the doors were shut. Oh, I was up. I seen him when he came to my door. I just ran to it cuz >> So y'all were the doors are shut locked and you think somebody opened the back door and he he walked out. >> Some of y'all cuz I just argue with him for coming down here and you see this daddy stuff down here, right? >> Yeah. So daddy like down here put his stuff up here. So I'm like why you go down there? I just >> All right, ma'am. So So what's going to happen today is we're gonna write um I'm gonna write up a notice to appear, okay, for child endangerment. Okay. Okay. So, you're not going to be custodially arrested, okay? But, uh, you will have a court date and we're going to have to call DCFS cuz this isn't the first time as well that the kid has gotten out, okay? Um, so I don't I don't know what your personal >> situation and solution to that problem is. Um, but um, so we'll get get that paperwork ready for you. All right. And then, uh, so you'll have a court date and then uh, you can probably expect to have uh, DCFS probably call tomorrow. Okay. It don't make no sense. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> So, I'll be right back with you. Okay. Shana. >> That don't make no sense. >> The officers decide to issue the mother a notice to appear in court for child endangerment. She won't be arrested at the scene, but she is required to show up for a court date. And the second time, um, two dogs had came in my backyard. >> And my baby was, while we was talking to the police, my baby ran off. And I was too busy talking to the police about the two dogs that ran in my yard and almost got my babies. And my baby had end up running off. And the police felt them like, "Your baby right here." I'm like, "Oh my god, I didn't even know he was gone." That was right. Hey. Hello. So, soon as uh the police officer ran uh walked away from talking to me about the dogs, he was like, "Your baby right here." So, that was end up being a mindblowing thing cuz we was too busy talking to the police about the dogs. >> All right. Like, I'm not judging you. We're just We just got to make a report. And >> I know I'm glad you're doing your job. >> I'm glad you're doing your job. DCF had to >> Yes. DCF had to come. Why they came? Oh, yeah. because my husband came and got me from Goodwills my job. It was real dark. So the car had went down. So I was like, "Baby, it's too dark. Can you please come get me?" He got the electric bike, right? So I showed the police officer real quick. >> I shot the police officer when I called him and you >> So you got to get together with your husband, figure things out about >> I got the protective life backed up. My son opened the door. That's all he did. That's I already know he did. >> But I know, but he he gets real busy right over there, >> man. I don't know. >> You don't understand what I'm feeling right now. >> No, I don't. >> You don't. >> No, I don't. >> All right, Shana. >> So, like I said, you got to show up, too. >> What's that? >> Do the father got to show up, too? >> Not as of right now. >> Okay. >> Um, if if they show up with me, I have to do this by myself. >> If they send you a subpoena and they they would send him one, too, if they if the state attorney determines that they need to talk to him as well. >> Did you need Do you guys need to talk to the father? Is everything okay? >> No, he's he's the the baby's safe at home, everything. Um, >> despite being overwhelmed, the mother cooperates. She talks about the pressure she's under and how she's trying to take care of both herself and her kids. >> I mean, I understand that children are will do what they do and they're they're hard to keep track of. Um, >> no, but not when you in control. You see, I'm in control cuz I got the door lock back there. >> Yeah, I I understand. >> That's what makes me really angry. And damn my son lying right in our face like I told him stop doing that. I told him stop looking at me. >> All right. So do not >> to me. >> Do not miss that court date. Okay. >> Don't miss that court date or you can get a warrant. All right. So just make sure you make it today. >> Oh yeah. You have to you have to come up to get fingerprinting >> for what? Today. >> Sometime soon. Um so hopefully today because because of the level of charge that it is. >> What? >> It's a it's a class A. So we have to get fingerprinted. Okay. Everything changed with that safety act. We're not going to take you from the kids today, but when you get time, just let them know you need to be fingerprinted for a case and they'll they'll take like 5 minutes. >> It'll be pretty quick. >> I go you can I got to go today. Today? Can I go tomorrow in the morning? >> You can go tomorrow. >> For real. I swear to God. Go. I just came back from the hospital. I try to take care of myself. My kid is sick. So, I'm like, "Okay, now it's my turn to take care of myself." >> As soon as possible, please. Man, >> thank you so much for tonight. You know this >> around front. >> Okay, >> who's that? >> I'll go get Andrew. >> Okay, they both called in. >> Okay. The mother is ultimately charged with endangering the life or health of a child. The case is left open for review by child services. Number four, police rescue toddler found wandering alone at night. Officers respond to a 911 call reporting a toddler found wandering alone on the street in the early morning hours. The child is discovered by a bystander and appears to be unharmed but disoriented. >> Hey mommy. Oh my god. >> She's sitting out here. >> And her feet aren't that dirty. So she had to come home. >> Do you know what mommy's name is? Okay. You want to sit down right here? We're going to sit down right here for a little bit. Okay. >> Okay. >> I don't know where she came from. >> Okay. You didn't see anyone with her earlier? >> Oh, no. I just pulled up [ __ ] my friend the baby and I wait till you got here. >> We appreciate it. Yeah. Where where was she when you sound? >> She was in my friend hands. She gave her to me. >> Yeah. >> I got it. The uh Well, no. Just till we talked to you cuz you're the one that found her. That's all. >> I didn't find her. >> Oh, where's your friend at? >> She's gone. I didn't find her. I don't know. >> Where does she live? >> I have no idea. >> Your friend? >> Yeah, but she was here at the cast passage. >> Okay. Well, listen. You're not in trouble or nothing. It's just that Yeah. Yeah. It's just that we talk. It's just It's just that we talked to you. What's your name, dear? All right. Perfect. >> I'm I'm live here, but I might be moving back. So, >> do you have another address here? >> Um, no. Not really. I'm like staying in people's houses, so >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you, dear. I just came and got the rest of my stuff. So, >> okay. All right. We appreciate it. All right. Officers begin going door to door in search of the child's home. >> West Palm Beach Police. >> Sorry to bother you at an hour like this, sir. We got a little one that was uh left over there. 1401 Tamron. Have you ever seen her before? Miss, I think her name is. >> That's my grandbaby. >> That's your grandbaby? >> Where she at? >> She was left over there. >> 1212 was bomb. >> Left where? D probably got up and came through that door. >> 1012 with the grandparents. 10124 Street. >> Cover 22. Can you bring her over here? >> Lord, she done came out the door. >> Why I told you put that alarm thing like the other 22? >> Yeah. So, someone >> So, I I guess >> someone noticed a little beautiful baby walking over here and they brought her over. Oh, brought her over to um 1401 and then they called us. >> Okay. >> Are you Are you her guardian? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Gotcha. >> She must have got up. >> Yeah, cuz I seen I seen that that your your dead >> unlocked. >> Yeah. >> Oh my lord. >> You guys have your ID on you by chance? >> Copy. Yeah, she must have wandered out cuz around 2:30 she was walking around by herself. >> Y listen, I was up earlier. >> Uhhuh. >> I came to use the bathroom. She was sitting right there on the couch with her tablet when she was doing her tablet. I'm thinking she's straight. >> You have mom's phone number? >> Phone is off. >> Do you know where mom's at? The mom supposed to have been in there sleep. >> So we don't she might still be in there sleep. >> I do. Let me check and see. Make sure she >> The grandparents confirmed the child lives with them and assist officers in reaching their daughter. >> Mom's not home. >> You know where she normally goes? >> She work. >> Uhuh. And she and she normally knock on the door and tell us Not long after, she returns on foot where police are waiting. Hi, Mom. >> You mind speaking to us for a second? >> She came outside. >> We'll talk about that. >> All right, honey. Do you have your ID by chance? >> No, I have a picture. >> Okay, that'll work. All right, let's get a Let's get So the light isn't flashing in the face. Okay. Um All right, so who do you live here with? My mom. >> Mom and dad. >> Or is that dad? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. All right. So, we have a pretty serious situation. I'm not going to I'm not going to lie. But we need to figure out kind of what happened here tonight. So, before we do, I have to read you Miranda. Okay? This isn't the movies. Just because I'm reading you, Miranda, doesn't mean you're under arrest. Okay? In order for me to speak to you, I have to read this to you. Okay? >> So, I'm going to ask you basically um I'm going to read these off and after each one, I just need you to tell me if you understand or not. Okay? >> Okay. So, I am required to warn you before you make any statement that you have the following constitutional rights. You have the right to remain silent and not answer any questions. Do you understand? >> Yes. >> Okay. You have the right to the presence of a lawyer of your choice before you make any statement and during any questioning. Do you understand? >> Okay. If you cannot afford a lawyer, you're entitled to the presence of a courtappointed lawyer before you make any statement and during any questioning. Do you understand? >> Always understand. >> Okay. >> Any statement can and may be used against you in a court of law. You understand? All right. >> Uh any statement you make must be freely and voluntarily given. You understand? >> Yes. >> All right. Uh, if at any time during the interview you do not wish to answer any questions, you are privileged to remain silent. You understand that? All right. And I can make no threats or promises to induce you to make a statement. This must be of your own free will. >> You understand everything I've read to you? All right. >> Once her Miranda writes a read, officers press her with questions about her whereabouts. >> So, uh, all right. So, just to kind of get an idea what's going on here. So, you live here with mom. >> Dad, is it stepdad or bio dad? >> Stepdad. >> Stepdad. Okay. Your daughter? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's your daughter's name? >> House. >> My siblings. >> Your siblings. How many? >> Two. >> Are they adults or >> They're adults. Sister. >> All right. So, obviously we saw you coming from this room. What time did you leave the house? >> I left. It was like two something. >> Two something. Okay. >> Yeah. >> What did again like just out of curiosity, what did you go to? Like what did you need to go get handled? >> Nothing. I was just chilling back there. >> Chilling back there. >> Yeah. >> Some some friends, I guess. Okay. Okay. >> She was laying but she was laying down asleep on the couch at first. >> Okay. >> Like before I left, I made sure she was asleep. >> Okay. So, you were there on the couch with her or you were in the bedroom? >> Who was on the couch? >> You were on the couch with Desiree? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And she fell asleep? >> Yes. >> Okay. Was anybody else inside awake? >> No. >> Where does she typically sleep? With you? >> Yeah, she sleep with me in the room that's in the back. >> In the room in the back. Is there's a bed for the both of you or Okay. >> No, we share a bed. >> Same bed. Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. So you see that she's asleep on the couch and nobody else is awake and you just I was the only one up basically. >> Okay. All right. So you around sometime around 2. >> It was like 2:30. So I know it's like 2:30. It wasn't long. >> Okay. And how long were you planning on leaving for? >> No, I was coming back just now. >> Well, just now. I mean right now it's it's 4 almost 4:30. >> Yeah, I was coming back. Okay. But >> she tells officers she left around 2:30 a.m. while her daughter was asleep, assuming the child would remain in bed until she got back. >> So when you walked out, she was asleep on the couch. >> Uhhuh. >> Now I see there's a lock on the top. Is there a lock on the bottom, too? >> Yeah. >> Did you lock both of those? >> No, I didn't lock the door cuz I don't have my key. >> Okay. Where's your key? >> My brother was using my key. >> Okay. So you left and the door was open. >> Yeah. the door. So, >> okay. Um, has she ever walked out of the house before? >> That never happened. >> Okay. All right. So, before she fell asleep, were you on the couch with her? >> Yes, we was on the couch. So then I'm assuming when when you left at some point and I'm and I'm going to kind of explain how this kind of went about. At some point she walks out, right? So >> somebody walks up over by 13th in Tamron. >> So >> 13th of Tam. So literally the next corner over. But we've had her since 3:20, 3:30. >> Mhm. >> Um, luckily this officer was able to knock on the door and we found out that this is where she lived. Because had we not found this, >> you probably would have walked in here and not seen your your daughter and we'd be getting this call at >> right now and she would have been out 2 hours because we have city cameras that see her walking around at 2:30. >> So like she was over there, >> she was somewhere over there, but she was with me. I literally took custody from some. >> But surveillance footage shows the toddler wandering outside alone for at least 90 minutes. Officers emphasize just how dangerous the situation truly was. >> Right. Says, "I found this little girl out here by herself. She handed this child over at sometime right around 3:20, but the video cameras show that she's been walking around since 2:30. So almost an hour and a half that she's been out here with zero supervision or protection. >> So that's an issue, right? Luckily for you, she didn't get run over. She didn't get kidnapped. She didn't get assaulted. She didn't try crossing PBLO. She didn't try crossing those tracks. A lot of bad things could have happened. There's some homeless guy sitting right in front of Sam's. You never, you know, you know what I mean? A lot of bad things. So, typically when you leave the house, who watches her? >> My sister. >> Your sister does? >> Yeah. I text my sister a card, too, to check on her. So, >> so this is my question is if you were going to leave here at 2:30 in the morning and yeah, she was asleep and I get it. Sometimes the kids fall asleep, you would want to wake them up because then it's hard for him to go to sleep again, right? I get that. But to not lock the doors, to not let anybody know, hey, I I'm stepping out. Can you just keep an eye on her or take her into your bed and lay her in the bed? you you know like so what >> I'm just kind of curious as to what your thought process was when you left the house. >> I I left Okay. So we was in the living room. Okay. I was on the phone with my friend and came outside. She was on the couch but I knocked on my sister door. She answered, but then I text her. The mother explained she had only stepped out briefly to meet friends and didn't expect her daughter to wake up. She insists she never meant to leave the child alone and claim she tried to let someone know she was leaving. >> And then so I stepped out the house. At first I was staying right here. Then they said they needed to go to the store. Okay. Boom. >> Who said that? Your friend. >> Yes. And I said, "Okay, we got to hurry up." Cuz I left the door unlocked and I already had a feeling. So, I'm like, "All right, let's go." >> Okay. >> And then we came back. >> I did not know she was going to get up. >> Yeah. So, pretty much the way you said you left the house around 2:30, >> like some I know it's like 2 something. >> Well, yeah. But my what I'm saying to you is that think about it. As soon as you left, pretty much she was out. >> Dang. >> That long and she's two. >> So, I understand you're saying you texted your sister, but did she respond? >> No, she didn't. >> So, that's that's where we have an issue. All right. That's all I have. Um, let me talk to to mom. This mom, right? Okay. All right. How are you, Mom? >> Hi. How are you? >> I'm doing well. I'm glad we found home for that >> beautiful little girl. She's adorable. >> She's a sweetheart. >> Um, okay. So, like I was telling your daughter, she basically was telling us that she was here with us. She fell asleep on the couch. >> She left at around 2:30. >> M. >> Didn't lock the doors. >> Yeah. didn't come back till right now. We have video that shows walking by herself out here since 2:30. >> Wow. >> So, we're looking at almost an hour and a half. And had she had we not found this house, your daughter would have come home to find >> out here. >> Mhm. >> So, that's a problem. Okay. >> Because normally when she doesn't see her mom, she'll knock on my door. >> So, she didn't even knock on my room door. The officer breaks the news to the grandmother, explaining what happened and the serious consequences of her daughter's neglect. >> She probably heard her walk out or something. >> Yeah, that's >> But yeah, to not lock the door, that's a problem. Um, yeah, you should probably end up getting some alarms. >> But like I told your daughter, >> more than likely, I mean, almost definitely DCF is coming out. >> Uh, we had to notify them because we didn't know where she lived. Yeah. >> And she told me her first name was Kenzie. >> That's her last name. >> So, so DCF has to come out. They're going to come and inspect the house and talk to you guys and all that stuff. >> Okay. >> Um, so I mean I mean as of right now, are you guys good taking care of this? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. Um, I mean, more than likely your daughter's going to be going to jail tonight. >> Yeah. >> So, >> leave her with you guys. Um Um, >> but unfortunately, it's it's going to be a child neglect case just because of the situation. >> Yeah. >> 2-year-old walking around for an hour and a half >> out here. Like I told your daughter, she didn't cross PBL. Luckily, >> she didn't cross the tracks. Luckily, you had a random woman over here walk up to me after she called 911 and said, "I found her walking by herself." There's a homeless guy sitting in front of Sam's. A lot of bad things could have happened to her. >> Yeah. >> So, >> no matter the mother's reasoning, the fact remains leaving a 2-year-old in an unlocked home without supervision is child neglect. >> All right, dear. >> So, unfortunately, because of the situation, tonight you will be going to the Palm Beach County jail. Okay. >> Um, >> it is temporarily. Okay. >> Fix this real quick. >> You're going to end up having to take that off anyway. So, >> I mean, is there anything? >> Oh, yeah. No, everything has got to come off only because we have to have all of your property in a bag. >> I see like before picture after. >> No, it's all got to come off. It's all come off. Here's what I would say. if you have anything valuable on you right now that you would like to leave with your parents, but we gota it's all going to go eventually. So, >> okay, just one second. >> So, if you're able to go ahead and take those piercings out so that we can >> I just got this. I don't know how to take this out. >> Well, they're not going to let you keep it at the jail. So, >> well, either way, it's got to go. the hair and the other stuff is going to come off. >> Okay, I'll wait until I get there. >> That's not enough. >> You don't understand, honey. >> We have to have it off. >> So, either you take it off or we're going to take it off. >> Take what off? >> The piercings. >> Piercings. >> I don't know how to take this off by >> And then the hair band, the headband, and all this other stuff. >> I don't never see them take this off before they go to handcuffs. Thank you. All right. Uh, we're going to be going to this vehicle right here to your left. Let me take a seat. The child remains in the care of her grandparents while the legal and protective processes move forward. Number three, shocking discovery inside a mother's home leads to arrest. Officers arrive at a residence after receiving a report of possible child endangerment involving a custody dispute. A child reportedly upset and frightened runs from her mother's home and jumps into her father's vehicle. >> You guys arrest? >> Yeah, I got I'll get my paperwork. I'll show you. I got an order. >> They're going to arrest me. That's what they're doing. >> They're not. Do you want to help with her? >> Yeah. And she's perfectly fine. Okay. >> The order of protection got dropped today. >> She went and pulled her out of school early today and then she called me on her phone and she said to come get me. I said, "Baby, well, you can come with me." Like, "I can come get you." Like, and she's like, "Mom, >> like by the way, they said I can have her if I want." Like, I didn't take her from her. She came running down the road and what was I supposed to do? Leave her. Her mom has been screaming at her, yelling at her, tell her she knock her teeth out. She's done hiding stuff from your mom. I want them to see this house. I haven't been here for 2 years. I wouldn't. This is not even humane. My water has been turned off for 3 weeks. She's been like, "Please come in here to see this house. Like I >> No, I'm not. >> Like there's dogs from the front door to the back. It stinks so bad. Just go stick your head. It It's It like She's been making this kid live in here for 3 weeks with no water. >> Yeah, she's been staying. No, she's been staying here. >> I've been at that house. >> Come here, please. Please do me a favor. She's been staying here. >> I've been sleeping in this house. There's no water. Yeah, she's she comes home. Your head stand by the door. It's downright. It is disgusting. Like, but I'm a whole I'm supposedly allowed to have her. I I didn't think I did anything wrong. My lawyer said, "If I have her, I have her. if he has her, she has her cuz this is everybody's residence. If she wants to go wherever she wants to go, she can go wherever she wants to go. I didn't even go in the courtroom today. He I was just told to get a a custody agreement and we're working on that. I mean, this just And then she went and ganked her out of school and then she's calling and she's calling crying. I had to beg my mom to call you and she's like, "Haha, now you can get a custody agreement, mother." I'm like, "Stop playing games with our daughter." The father argues that his child has been forced to live in unacceptable conditions and urges officers to check the mother's home. >> Like this is not cool. >> And then check my phone and hung up on me. >> Hung up on me. And she's telling her if she comes around me that I'm going to go to jail and she's going to get in trouble and she can't be around her dad. And and I would love to see some paperwork says I can't be around my mom. Like please look in my house, make a BCFS case. I'm not worried about it. I just got home a couple hours ago and this kid has been living like this in my toilet. There's no water on. >> It's not me, guys. >> This has been the hardest thing in the world for me. >> And I have played it to the tea that I am not going to leave. I That's it. My She's telling me my dog's been living in a kennel for a week. She won't even let out said her ribs are showing. She's There's two bearded. There's all kinds of animals in here. She's not taking care of anything. But as for right now, mom's got custody of her until a parent agreement is in place. That's how it works. It's stayed alone. But >> I can show you the I can give you the number. >> I've had you guys here before and they were straight told her they they ain't taking her out of her house, but I get that she has to be out of her house. And I'm just like she kicked her out 3 days ago and told her to go kick her off. Kicked her out of the house. And you guys are telling me I have to get her back to it. >> I I get >> how like you got to go get a court agreement. Okay. Yeah. >> Can I please stay with my dad just for tonight? >> We can't. >> She's scared of you. >> She has stayed here every night since I left and you guys are going to go give her back to >> Well, I mean, I can call my command and see what we >> Please. Anything you can do to help me. I don't want to argue. I've just >> I'm not trying to argue either. I >> I get your concerns. >> I I fully get that's not acceptable at all. >> I come home today and it's >> And if she goes over back with mom and they come back over here and then stay here. I stay here. Where you going to stay? Who has who has room for you to stay? >> Either B or >> B's house is what? Stack full of boxes or anything. You're worse than my house. >> I got to take this kid. She >> That's the whole reason she did this. >> I don't even have a place to stay. >> He vents his frustration, describing the nightmare his child has endured. He then insists his ex should not have custody at all and pleads with the police to step in. >> Mom is ultimately charged. How come she's not getting arrested for this child neglect and stuff? >> It's going to get all >> I understand that, but I'm not really happy about her going with her mom right now. >> I I >> How can I keep her? >> You have to get an order of protection. >> I think she should be in handcuffs right now. Like I How >> if I did this to her, I I guarantee I'd be in jail. >> Well, this is going to be a cluster. It already is. I mean, I'm already like >> What are your thoughts on the rest of >> foranger? >> Absolutely. >> I mean, I can't even step a foot in that house without wanting to gag. And there's stuff all over the floor. I already seen poo. I seen pee everywhere. >> Did mom admit to you that she's been staying? >> I have not. >> She admitted to me she was. So, right now you're going to be placed under arrest for endangering the life of a drive. Okay. >> Okay. >> Oh, our body cameras are on. >> I couldn't help you. >> Okay. We're just going to go to >> Can you open the door for me for just a second? >> Just for a second. >> Hey, they're arresting me for child endangerment. I need you to call Doc. >> Yeah, I'm in cuffs right now. I need you to call Doc right now. >> Thank you. Love you. Bye. >> Bye. >> Who's Doc? >> My boyfriend. >> Okay. Did you know about the condition of the house and the state it's in now? >> I did. I was working on getting it cleaned. Um he he left it just as bad as I did. >> Um I I've I've been working. I've had my daughter. I >> Okay. What's up with the with her knotted hair? >> She came home from her dad's that way. >> Came home from her dad. >> She claims that she didn't have a hairbrush in her backpack and it's only gotten progressively worse. And I do not have money until Friday when I get paid. But as soon as I get paid Friday, she's going to a salon. >> The mother says she plans to take the child to a salon to fix her tangled hair, but officers point out it looks like it's been neglected for far too long. >> Whether we have to cut it or it can't get brushed out. I've had several people try to help me brush it out and look at it and I we can't get it out. >> Okay. How long has her hair been like that for? >> Only like Well, the knot started >> last weekend and it was very small. >> Okay. And it's just gotten progressive. >> It's just gotten progressively worse. Yeah. >> Okay. Have you been staying in the house while there's been no water? >> We only sleep there. We don't eat there. We don't stay. Like the only thing we do is sleep there. And >> Okay. Did you know there's bed bugs in there? >> No. >> Yeah. Quite a bit. >> What? >> Yeah. >> I don't have a single bite on me. >> Our code enforcement just went through the house and they found them in her bed. So >> in her bed or in my bed? >> Oh, lovely. >> Yeah, there's eggs on your bed. >> Lovely. There's that. The house is being deemed uninhabitable. >> No one can be in there until it gets fixed um up the code, everything. There's mold, there's feces, >> there's no water, the toilet's full of toilet paper and >> feces and urine and I mean, it's a complete disaster. >> So, I have a question. Is there any way I can press charges against him for kidnapping? Because he coerced her. He called her on the phone and told her to run away. >> That I would probably say no. >> Okay. Why not? >> Um, give me just a minute. That's me. >> Oh, you're young love. >> Yep. And I definitely did not. >> You told me that. You told me that. >> No, I have this to prove that I didn't say that either. >> Okay. Okay. Then I misunderstood you and I apologize. I I thought that that when I had asked you that if he took her that >> No, I said if she does, give us a call and we can handle the situation from there. >> Oh, >> so >> okay. >> I understand where you're coming from. >> I just I I this this phone thing that he's been doing like he the OP got dropped today and he violated it probably about six times and I had all the evidence and I didn't get out of work in time. She then accuses the father of violating a prior protection order and trying to manipulate the child. And so >> when did he violate it? >> I have filed a police report. The dates in my phone. I can look at it. Uh actually you texted it to me. It's in your phone. >> I did. I Oh yeah. So I I I did complete a report on that. >> And he's done it several other times since. I have screenshots of phone calls. He's hacked my Facebook. I have screenshots of all of that. He's changed it so I can't even see what devices are logged into my Facebook. Uh he put a pin on it and I had a screenshot of that. >> There's not much we're going to be able to do with that. >> Yeah. >> So, I understand where you're coming from as far as the kidnapping, but I don't know if we can reasonably say he was trying to kidnap her. He claimed that he drove by and she ran after him. >> At least that's what she told me. >> He backed up down the street. I have it on video. >> Okay. He backed he stopped at that gray house where all that those pillars are and he backed up all the way to the edge of this brown house in that black truck and he was hanging out the window when he drove by. I have it all on video. They have surveillance cameras on this house. >> Did he Did he get out or stop the truck and go and grab her and pick her up? >> He stopped the truck. He stopped a truck and got out of the car and opened the car door for her. >> Okay. >> And she got in and he shut the door and I couldn't get out of my seat belt cuz it was locked. And as I was getting out of my seat belt, getting out of my car, I called the police. >> Okay, I understand what you're saying. We can definitely document that, but I don't think it constitutes his kidnapping. It's not like he's refusing to allow her to go with you at this point. He's even told me on camera that if she if your daughter has to go back with you, that's perfectly fine. He's not trying to kidnap her. >> Okay, >> hold on before you go. All right. So, we're going to go >> You better go do a well check of that house. And you better scour it. >> That's what we're doing before he She >> He's already gone to clear it out. That's why he drove by. >> Mhm. >> Did he leave already? I don't know. I wasn't up there. >> So, yeah, we're going to go check the house first before she's allowed to stay there cuz if it's like that condition, no, we're going to find something else or DCFS is going to come and place her somewhere. >> Okay. Ultimately, the mother is arrested for child endangerment due to unsafe living conditions. The child stays with the father for the night while the situation is reviewed further by child protective services and the court system. Number two, this mom's excuse fell apart after police found her child. Police respond to a call about a child walking alone along a busy highway in cold, rainy weather. When they arrive, they find a 13-year-old boy drenched and walking in unsafe conditions without a sidewalk in near high-speed traffic. How old are you? >> 15. >> Okay. Do your parents know you're out here? >> Yeah, I'm really close to home. >> Okay. Uh that's the only reason we were called is cuz it's real dangerous. It's rainy and there's cars driving fast. Where's Where's home? >> You want to get my mom in trouble? >> What's that? >> You want to get my mom in trouble? >> I won't get your mom in trouble. I just want you to get home safely. Okay. Give me one second. I'm going to turn my rear lights on. Yeah. You're You're not in trouble. I just want to get hit by a car. It's raining and >> Oh, yeah. You don't get my mom in trouble. >> Is Is there a reason your mom's in trouble? She doing okay? >> CPS off. >> Okay. Mad. >> Okay. So, did you run away today or how'd you end up out here in the rain? >> It's cold. >> Yeah. I was uh meeting a second in Chicago first and so I asked if >> Okay. And she didn't want me to. >> Okay. >> But I said and she's been following me. She knows where I am. >> Oh, is she out here looking for you? >> She told me she knows the path I was with, but she might scare me right now. >> Okay. >> Okay. Um here, let me get you out of the cold. I'll get you home. Okay. That's again, that's that's all I'm worried about is I want to get you home. Okay. It's It's uh almost below freezing. You're soaking wet. Are you cold? >> Not really. >> Not really. What's your mom's name? >> I know her number, too. I think I've met her. I think I met her before. Do you stay with your grandparents sometimes? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I was actually out there with you that day. Do you do you remember me talking to you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Yeah. I remember I was out with you guys. You doing okay? >> Yeah, we're doing okay. We >> You live with your mom full time now? Are you still >> Yeah, we we live with my mom full time now. >> The boy recounts that after arguing with his mom, he asked to leave her car to calm down. Despite some hesitation, she allowed him to walk away. >> Okay. >> Got it cleaned off and we were doing pretty good. >> Okay, that's good. You feeling all right? You're >> Yeah. >> Okay. How um So again, so tell me again how you ended up here. >> Well, so I just wanted to break because I was yelling at her and sending me stuff. I didn't want to get her angry. >> And then I just asked if I could walk and then she didn't want me to. >> But um so then she's been like following me like she's parked there. She asked and made sure I'm okay. >> Okay. >> And all that stuff. >> So what where did you get out of the car? Do you remember like what business you were by or what street you were by? >> Um I don't know what it was, but it was like that. So, you go there, you turn left, and there's a bypass. It was almost around there. >> Did she pass you or did she Does she turn a different direction? >> She's been like going and stopping around me like she's making sure. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Like she's always been around. >> Do you know where she's at now? >> Um I don't I'm assuming she's like parked up right on this first road or at home. >> Okay. Like waiting for you. >> Yeah. Normally she like does it and she like stops once at like a good spot that's like public and she stopped to make sure I'm okay. Okay. I'm pretty sure she sounded like she really wanted me to get in and probably by um >> there she makes sure I >> Okay. Okay. So you guys got in a little a little argument or you were mad about what happened then you got >> I didn't want to cuz I was >> Did you ask to be get out of the car? >> Yeah. said hurtful things and I didn't want to say more. So, I asked her to step out and she was reluctant and didn't really want me to, but she made sure I put on everything and then I had a code and then she's been watching me, stopping me, making sure I'm okay and stuff like that. >> Okay. Were you out with me on that call where we almost busted through the door because the flies were in the windows and turned out she actually lived there. Were you out with me on that? It was Sean. Okay. So, we opened a CPS case on this mom because for deplorable conditions um because the house was there was like animals lying around and um we thought she somebody was in there was so bad. So, this is her kid. So, I recognized him, started talking to him. They got in some argument. She dumped him out of the car at the bike path on Graange Hall and drove home, let him to walk and he's 13. >> The officers immediately recognize him from an earlier CPS case involving unsafe living conditions. That case was closed, but after this event, another one may be on the horizon. >> This is the second time we've been called for. No parent in their right mind would. She said she she she he realized he forgot his cell phone in the car and she drove by and held it up to show him that she had it and kept driving and left him. I think he might be on the spectrum or have some um autism, I think, is is in the history. He seems okay. He doesn't seem injured in any way, but he's walking along 835, which is a you know, a high-speed road with no sidewalk. Um, in this weather, he's soaking wet. Yeah. Just I mean I I can't I don't think any parent in their right mind would dump their kid on a busy road like this and have have them walk miles home in the rain and the cold. >> Still doing okay. >> Yeah, I just saw my mom. She just hit pass by. >> Did she just pass by? >> Yeah. I was going to get out, but I didn't. >> Okay. She went that way. >> She was coming this way. Coming back. >> Oh, like she was looking for you. >> Yeah. I think she looked at us and I think she might know it's me, but I'm not sure. >> So, she might be turning back around. >> Yeah, she might be. I don't know. How's it going? >> Have a little boy. >> Yep. Yep, we do. I don't know if you remember. I was I was out with you guys before before your house on straight arrow. >> Yeah. >> Um, so we found him running running along the road, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. Um, go ahead and I I got all his. Go ahead and explain to me why. >> Okay. So, he was in a really angry mood at a competition that he had been at. He was bursting at me. He was trying to jump out of the car. >> Okay. So, um, I was getting concerned about him and so he pulled over, he got out of the car and he's been walking home and I've come up on him multiple times and say, "Come on, get in the car." He won't >> Okay. Um, has this happened before? >> Yes. >> Um, so I've been out here with him for probably 20 minutes. >> Where where have you been during that? >> I was trying to find him because I didn't know. >> So, how did he end up out of your sight? Um because he was walking this way and I had to turn around and come on back and then I was you could have followed him out there and why not? >> Um I was trying to give him some space to pull out. >> Officers emphasized that allowing a young child to walk along a highway unsupervised in such conditions is a serious lapse in judgment. >> So I know last time I was out with two guys he was staying with my grandparents part time. Has he been with you full time for a while? >> Yes. and he's really been doing well. This is the first active um recently which is why we're opening the council where he's been googling things like that and >> okay >> so that's what he said. >> Okay. Today he had a discussion about >> Okay. Um, so he's he's 13. He says he's better off and you know how it sounds. You're leaving him in 30° weather in the rain to walk miles home. He's out of your sight for 20 plus minutes. Yes, sir. >> Okay. And he's he's a juvenile on the on the younger side. >> Yes, sir. >> On a busy highway with no sidewalk. >> Yes, sir. I thought he had you let him out of your sight. >> Yes. Okay. He said that while he's been walking in this, he's seen you pass by a few times and not stopped. >> I have stopped every single time. >> Okay. But before you said you didn't know he was here, you thought he was on Grand. >> I haven't stopped him on this road. >> So, I'm I'm going to make a call to our supervisor. Okay. I'm not I'm not going to release him to you yet. What I'm going to have you do is go sit in the car. We're going to pull over there and get off the road. Just kind of decide how we want to handle it, right? Because it's it's kind of an unusual situation. I know there's there's history you have with CPS, right? Are is there still an open case? enclosed. >> This road has no sidewalk. What's the reason you let him out of your view? Why did you drive away? >> To be honest, to make a little bit of an impact on him that like >> make him feel like you might leave him. >> Not that I would I would never leave him. >> Okay. >> But he's telling me like better off without me. And so I was like, well, let me let him out of his sight for a little bit and just let that kind of reality hit. Okay, >> if that makes sense. Not that I was never going to come back, but >> she tries to justify her decision, explaining why she left her child on the road. >> Kind of make a little bit nothing to say. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, maybe a bit of poor judgment. Um, because you we got the one there no sidewalks and the weather, right? It's inherently dangerous walking along this road. Um, I'm not even sure if it's legal for an adult to run along this road. All right. It's considered a highway. considered a highway. >> Yeah, it was considered a highway. And also the um he could be picked up by a stranger. You were he was out of your sight for an extended period of time, >> right? >> He could have been gone and you never would have known. Um he's a nice kid, right? I've talked to him. He's always fine. He's always friendly. Did you consider the possibility of a stranger rolling up? >> Hey, let me get you help. And then you never see him again, but I didn't know that you at first until I thought about that. Okay. >> I wasn't scared looking for him. >> Okay. >> But I thought he was okay and then I couldn't find him. I started to get really really nervous. >> Okay. Okay. Um, go ahead and have a seat in your car. We're going to get off the road. We'll pull into the entrance way over there. >> Just stay there. We'll pull over there and get off the road just so we're not walking traffic. >> So, I'm going to release him back to you in a second. Okay. I'm going to talk to him. Um, I want him to hear everything I'm saying. Okay. I called a supervisor and discussed the situation. Okay. Um so what what we're going to do is issue a criminal summon for child endangering with the mandatory court need. Okay. You're not going to jail. It's a misdemeanor. Um but based on so kind of what I've you discussed with you a little bit um the facts of the situation, his age, the location and the roadways involved, the temperature, the weather, um the fact that he was out of view for an extended period of time. um that we had to be called out by a stranger like to to find him. All of those things are taken into account, right? Um so this uh citation be issued essentially it's called child endangering for a lapse of due care that responsible for because he's in your custody. Okay. >> Considering the child's age, the dangerous location, the weather, and the length of time he was unsupervised, officers issue her a criminal summon for child endangerment. >> Any questions about that? >> Okay. Again, it's Yeah. Yeah, I'm going send him over to you a second. I just wanted to again I told him, you know, he's he's worried about about you, right? You're his mom. So, um tell him you're not going to jail. Nobody's in trouble. So, I told him um cuz this is between you and us in the court. He doesn't have to know. There's no reason for that. Okay. Um it is going to open up another another CPS case. Okay. >> So, is that is the the previous one is that the first one? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, this would be the second one. >> Yes. >> Okay. Uh, yeah. Yeah. So, here's what I just called Brad cuz all this stuff's new to me. All right. He said if we can find someone to watch watch the kid, um, that we need to actually lock her up. >> So, we actually need to just write her a ticket, lock her up. going to be the next day, next available court date, 11:00 a.m. Um, what we can do is we could follow her back to the house and that way she can drop her car. We don't have to tow it. Release the child back to the grandpa and then and then hook her. Okay. You can probably go sit in grandpa's car now if you want. >> Grandpa knows he's going to take it from there. >> Initially, she's not taken into custody, but after further consultation with the supervisor, officers are directed to arrest her. She remains in custody for two nights while the case is processed. Number one, daughter's magical trip ends in disaster thanks to mom. A family vacation to Disney World ends in chaos at the Orlando airport where police are called to investigate a physical altercation between two women. The women, who are relatives, had traveled together with their children, but became embroiled in a heated dispute during the return trip. Police are called after bystanders witness the altercation. Tell me when you get angry at each other. What led to you guys pushing each other? >> We was running in the car and something happened. We was driving the car the the rental cuz you got to get in the rental and then come back. >> Okay. >> So the rental was returned already and I was in there. I was returning the rental and then I don't see it but her son it was altercation with her son >> and her and she that's her son. Her son was like why would you do her like that? He was just screaming and hollering like, "Why would you do her?" Like, "You snatched her hair, Na. I'm returning the car." So, I was turned. I didn't see her snatch. I cannot attest to that. And he was yelling at her. And I'm like, "What just happened?" And she snapped out on me. [Music] >> And Carter, y'all can see all this on video cuz the man told them to be crying. So she was like, she told the man at the one of the uh receptions people like so she was real aggressive towards them. So I'm like okay like what's going on? Cuz I'm returning the car so I don't know what's going on. >> So as I come near she attacks me. >> Where was this? >> Inside the ace. You can see all this on camera. >> This inside a vehicle. >> You can this? No. This was never inside the vehicle. The was gone at this point. >> Inside where? >> The ace. Yes, the business. It was inside the business. >> So, she did all and I'm like, >> I just don't want to be incriminating myself even talking to you because >> I tried to try to incriminate and we just want to get the whole picture of the story. >> I'm trying to give y'all the story. She's just Hispanic bipolar. >> Okay. >> She was rallying at the people, which y'all can attest to all the records. Y'all can see I even left. I was walking off and she >> The officers continue to question the alleged victim and attempt to understand how the whole incident blew up. >> The whole time the workers I guarantee if you talking to them they said they on my side. >> I was never >> Let me ask you this because this is where I'm having difficulty. >> Okay. >> Trying to figure out locations is all >> the location was from the >> You got delivered here. So you guys you're arguing. Were you ever arguing inside this vehicle? It started like it was it started from the the rental >> the rental place >> and it just escalated. >> Okay. So, you're at the rental place. You guys are arguing with each other. It gets inside the vehicle. You're driving here. >> But Nel, I'm like thinking like, you know, she's friend like whatever. Like a lot of [ __ ] You let it like go over your head until she attack you. >> Like she can swing and hit you. Like she'll say a lot of ruthless to you and y'all can confess to that. God, Lord is my witness. >> I don't have to say much. I'm not trying to defend anything other than I got. >> So, let me >> The door opens here. >> I leave. I get my child. She's running like I'm trying to attack her. I'm like, let's go. Let's go. >> The child or her. >> Me and my daughter. My daughter runs south of bed. Got you. >> I don't know where she at. This is my oldest. my baby, me and my baby got our our our uh luggage and we're leaving cuz I'm like whatever. Her son is holding her like a a bear so she won't attack me again cuz at this point she has my hair >> and everything and I'm like you know what >> she has >> get her off my hair >> she has your hair on the bus or off the bus? >> On the bus? >> On the bus. Okay. And the whole reason for her pulling your hair on my bus >> because like I'm like why would you talk to my channel like that? So now we're arguing >> again. We're arguing. Cuz I'm like, why would you say that to I don't that's her child. I would never disrespect your child like that. Why would you do my baby like that? >> Like my baby respect you, love you, you her family. Like why would you do her like that? Like whatever you got going on, that don't have nothing to do with her. She's a child. I would never do a baby like that. >> The suspect meanwhile quickly becomes uncooperative and behaves like this. Come on, sweetheart. >> Come on, baby. >> I got I got witnesses. >> Let's get her over here so we get >> Let's get over Quit talking right now. >> Quit talking. >> I don't want to talk to you. >> You're going to get over here. You're going to get put in the back of my damn car, woman. >> I want to talk to you. >> Now, relax for a second. >> One second. One second. One second. >> What do we tell you? I'm not top. >> You fixing to go in the back of my car. This is the reason. Listen to what they got to say. >> Anything outside. Hey, I want to hear what you have to say, but I want to get her away from this. So, let's go over here. I want to get the baby away from this. Come on, sweetheart. Come on over here. >> I want to get her away from us. >> And you're being all nasty. She attacked us because >> my daughter felt like my daughter always son better than her daughter, right? >> I got it. You guys got in a heated fight, sweetheart. You're okay. You want to sit on my my tailgate? >> You sure? You don't be scared. I got you. >> Turn on. >> Deep breath. >> Come on, baby. >> Wait a sec. I'm going to be able to call you. Oh my go. >> She cuts off officers, has emotional outbursts, and refuses to cooperate. Her young daughter, visibly shaken and in tears, also shares her side of the story. >> Yes. >> Well, she's going to be a child. >> So, okay. So, you guys got in a little bit of an argument. >> She slapped her child. >> She did what, baby? >> She slapped her child. >> She slapped her child. She didn't slap you. >> No. No. No, no. The other child. >> I know. She hit my car and she beat her. >> She hit her. >> Yeah. No, she beat her. >> Okay, now I got >> That's why we got the fire. >> I just want to make sure that she's okay. >> Because she cuz she's crying. >> Okay. She crying and then her mama got mad cuz she was crying. Okay. >> Okay. Well, we'll deal with that. But I just want to make sure you're okay. You okay, baby? >> Okay. You okay? You all right? I took >> when you were jumping. I didn't know where to go. >> Yes, I jumped up and I said no. >> We can't understand you when you're all high school. >> And she hit me. >> I got to let >> Close your eyes for me. Let me see. Hold on. >> Close your eyes so I don't bl you. >> Do it look bad. >> No, it don't look bad at all. >> Okay. Cuz she ain't hit hard. >> Okay. So, what she did? Smack you? >> No. Like she came trying to punch. >> Okay. Did she touch you? She hit you. >> No. >> Okay. Did you see mama? Is this your daughter, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. What's your name, sweetie? >> Dream. >> Okay. >> It's a dream. >> A dream. Okay. >> A D R E M E. >> Where are you guys going? Where you guys? >> We going home. >> Oh, you guys live here? >> No, we living in Chicago. >> Oh, so you're getting on a plane to go home. >> Getting on a plane to go home. >> Who's Who is shooting you? >> Um, that's my cousin. >> She's your cousin. Yeah, she hit you. >> Exactly. So, she offended me first. I never did nothing to her. She got to go to jail. I charge. We're going to figure it out. Okay. Where's your My daughter hate on my daughter. >> Where's your G? Anytime my daughter get >> We got to go step by step. Okay. And you get my daughter. >> Where's your Where's your ID? >> My daughter tried to fight her. Right. >> Okay, >> darling. >> Like they had >> Where's your ID? I'll walk you with it. >> My car. >> My ID is >> in the in the truck or in a car? >> In the car where we came from. >> Where's the car at? >> You remember >> the um the the place we had to turn the car in? >> Oh, the Avis or whatever it is. >> And and she the reason why we got the car. She drove there. Everything. >> Where's the car right now? It's parked over there. It's there. >> It's parked over there. >> There. I will never harm my daughter. >> Fine. Your daughter's fine. >> I will. Please don't never hurt my daughter. >> Okay. Your daughter's fine. That's That's why I wanted to get over here. But you need to calm down. Okay. >> I know. I would never do you like that, mommy. >> Meanwhile, the victim provides additional details about the altercation and confidently says there are witnesses who can back her up. >> Calm down. Deep breath. I got to get the information out. >> What's your What's your first name? >> My name is What's your name? >> My name is Kristen. >> Kristen, how do we get How do we get to this whole fighting part? >> Why did she have a bruise? How who did she hit you? What's going on here? Let's get to Let's get >> Oh my god. I got to keep telling the story over. I'm need Who else need to know? Hold on. Wait. the other officer for real because I'm getting irritated because I was attacked. Okay, >> for real y'all is because y'all going to look at me cuz I'm darker than this here who's crazier than Bessie Bugs and I could call everybody. I swear >> it's not about >> No, because I'm tired of telling this same story. I just told it to him and the ask the airport people because I left. >> Okay, >> cuz ask about what happened right here. >> Where did she hit you? on a buzz and then when we was coming out here because she's crazy. >> Okay. She's crazy. >> Okay. And then how did she get the bruise on her face? >> Cuz I fought back. I defended myself. >> Okay. >> And asked her son who was the police at that point cuz no police on there. >> Okay. So she was the van. She got crazy. She tried to hit you. >> Ask the people. And listen, I got a bunch of back. Listen, I need an attorney. I don't want to say else. So if y'all going to arrest me or do it, do it right now. >> No. >> So I can have my family come get my kids. I got money. I would get an attorney cuz at this point I'm tad I'm tad of token. I'm tad of token. >> Is that Is that If that's what we wanted to do, you were being cuffed now. You're not >> said I'm tad. >> Y don't even understand. >> I tried to help her. >> I got you. Just >> this lady pissed on herself. It was naked. >> I would do that to my baby. >> I would do that to my baby. >> Listen up. Listen up. >> Hey, listen up. You listen. Can you listen to me, please? >> I would do that. >> This is the officer that wants to speak to you. Tell you what, I would do that. >> Okay, we understand that. But I need to speak with you now. I need your >> I don't care. I'm going to get her back. You better know that. We got a key Chicago. >> Although given several chances to share her side, the suspect refuses to engage in the investigation beyond angry outbursts. Ooh, >> she got that right now cuz she had no authority. We was on a bus. >> Okay, so let's not go down that route right now. >> I don't care you. I don't want that. >> No. Stay over here so we can control. >> Stop. We can go. >> Stay over here. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Stay here. You're about to do something. You're going to end up in cuffs. I'm telling you that right now. Stop. >> What happened? >> You're not in charge here. >> You're not in charge of this man's in charge here. That's it. >> You do not run the show here. You're going to listen to him or you're going to go to jail. I promise you that. >> I'm trying to keep I'm trying to keep you out. >> You're not in charge here. You're not in charge. >> So, what else I was going to tell y'all? >> Sit here like we asked you to. >> Relax and answer his questions. >> Okay. So, I just answer that. Just answer my questions real quick and that's it. Or I'm going to slap these cups on you and sober you up real quick. >> I'm going stop playing these games. >> He said so me up. But I >> stop playing these games and that's it. I'm done with that. >> Let me look up these state laws. >> Okay. whatever the state law you think it is. We're in Florida. We're not in Chicago. I know. >> So, bottom line, I'm going to ask you a few questions. Okay. And that's it. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> You guys were at the car rental. You guys rode here, right? >> Of disturbance of whatever kind. >> I didn't disturb the peace. >> Listen to me. >> I was If you're talking, you're not listening. >> So, y'all want me to press charges, right? >> If you're talking, you're not listening. >> Oh my god. You're not You're not even understanding me and you're interrupting me. So, I'm trying to make sure I have the sequence of events properly. Okay. Proper. >> I don't want to do nothing. I'm telling you. >> Okay. Well, well, whether you want to or not, you have to help me clarify this. >> I'm telling you. >> So, you guys got here, >> right? A little argument happened between you and your cousin. Is she really your cousin or you guys just friends? And >> I'm sorry. They're really >> Are you going to talk to me or not? They're really cousins. >> But I I don't want to do that. I'm good. Like, >> it's just yes or no. Are you >> You're not okay. You're not. Okay. >> Okay. >> The officers then review the situation and go over the statements from both parties. >> Thank you. >> Say hang with her, please. >> Okay. >> And what did what did you say about her? >> She's saying that her granddad is cousins with someone else in the family. Oh my god. Okay. >> Right. Which can't even right. Okay. >> So, >> she just said no. She's saying yes. >> Um >> but I don't consider that to be a bloodline. >> I don't believe it at all. >> Okay. So, >> so I got this here. Um she's saying, "Hey, if she's going to write a statement, she'll write one." So, obviously, if she's not going to, she's not going to. >> What's that? >> If she just told me if she's going to write a statement, then she will. But she's not going to, right? So then she won. >> Okay. So here's the thing is that uh if so we determined here this is I read I pulled up the policy by the way. >> Uh and they're not living in the family in the household together are they? >> No. >> No. Okay. So that's good. Not spouses. They don't have a baby in common. Uh so it's good. The whole bloodline thing that's kind of that's kind of far from there. What I would do in this point is that she says that she doesn't press any charges. I would I would be written declaration of non of nonprosecution which would be just this >> on the bottom >> right here my signature means uh I refuse to prosecute people but she would sign that and do that there one line I do not want to prosecute don't make it fancy I don't give a look however okay >> yep >> um and but uh we can honestly say the policy >> yep >> uh this is unable to determine if there's actually a bloodline here >> um she says no she's by the great great great grandfather of the fifth of the fourth. >> That's hard to establish. >> Okay. And then same thing with her. >> So, um but I would what you're going to have to do though is go like um >> do we believe that she's a primary aggressor? Yes. >> Yes. >> Uh she down now. Therefore, she's doing the simple 85 a battery. They >> ask her if she'll press charges or not. >> Once the primary aggressor is identified, they prepare the charges and consequences. The woman is informed of the decision and reacts like this. >> Okay. If she says no, then same thing. Declaration of I'm saying no. That and that's it. She says yes, then we go from there. >> Hey. All right. So, here's the deal. Are you listening? Are you understanding me? >> Yes. >> All right. Cool. Lower your voice at me, please. >> I listen to somebody else. Could you >> listen to me? I need you to listen to me, okay? If you want to stay out of jail. >> All right. So, how about this? >> I want you to listen. This is a paper I need you to write. And >> I'm not saying anything without a lawyer. >> I'm not signing anything without a lawyer. >> You're going to listen. >> So, I'm I'm going to let my lawyer speak to y'all. I'm not saying it. >> Are you just listen? >> I'm not saying it. >> I need you to give me a chance to talk to >> I know. Stay still, my man. >> Listen to me. >> I'm not saying it though. Is that my right? >> No, it's not. Is that my right? Yes, that is. You know that. >> But listen to me. >> You know, I don't have to. >> I'm not asking you anything. Listen. Are you >> I don't want to sign it. >> Can you please listen on the last side? >> You're not getting a black person with me. >> Cool. What's your mama? >> You okay? >> I'm not signing that. >> Okay. Um uh Well, what do you say? Did you tell her this was just >> I told her and she doesn't want to sign anything. >> I don't want to sign anything. >> Okay. All this is and it's cool if you don't have to. It's cool. >> I don't want to sign. >> Okay. Let me explain to you what this is. Okay. All this is is saying that you are allowing us to leave. >> I got to read it. I'm going read it on my own right now. It's nothing. >> Okay. So, what is I'm reading to say you on your right? >> I'm not signing it. >> Okay, that's fine. It's You don't have to. >> I'm not signing. >> It's fine. We're on video, so it's okay. Okay. >> I'm not signing it. I'm cool. >> Can I walk off? >> Hold on. No, not yet. Not yet. Not yet. We'll let you know where you can walk off and get your go. Okay. >> I'm not being a tough. I'm not being white. >> You're lovely. >> I'm a black citizen. >> We've been getting killed. >> Okay, baby. So, it's okay. I thought you got >> officers explain they're trying to piece together the events and avoid escalation. But she continues yelling, ignoring commands, and refusing to stay still. Jeez, y'all know how many people that entered the United States in Chicago that been taking our kids to rap. >> Been taking the organs, the black organ. I'm equipped to it. >> I could never let >> I could never let that happen. I'm over here. >> I die before I do that. >> He's trying He's trying to give me the best options. Okay. >> I don't care about No. I'm not signing anything. >> Please let me go. >> Okay. >> On my free will. Let me go. >> Let me go on my free will. Please. Could you excuse me? I don't want to do anything. >> Please. >> Please let me go. >> Please don't touch me. >> Please don't touch me. I want to walk away and I want to walk away on my free will. Please don't touch me. I didn't touch you. You want me to touch you? Stay right here. >> Please let me go. >> Like, you don't realize people are trying to help me. >> Please, y'all can't help me. I'm not breath of charge. >> I'm not I'm not You touching me. >> You're not going to walk behind me. >> You're touching me. >> You're not going to walk beyond me. >> I know what type of cop you are. >> Stay here and we're going to take care of you. >> Don't touch me. >> I'm telling y'all, I don't want to do anything. Let me go. >> We have green lights for that. So, let's get uh the kid out here. >> I don't want to go home. I don't want to press charges. I don't want to go. Can you take my hand for me? >> I want to go home. Auntie real quick. >> I want to go home. Please don't touch my daughter. Please don't touch my daughter. Please defend my daughter. My daughter. What I do? What I do? What I do? She's placed in handcuffs and taken into custody while her daughter remains with family members. over and over again. >> Your baby's fine. Your baby's being very very growing up. >> Awesome. >> Unfortunately, you ate too much. Too loud. Too loud. Too much. You get multiple chances, man. >> No. Give me no chance. >> Let's go to the car. My back now. [Music] [Applause] They charge her with battery, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Kids rescued, mothers arrested, case closed.
