So, right now we're going to an injury accident at 160 and 372. Uh, it's a threec car vehicle accident and um we got NHP in route. So, we're going to go block off some roads, check on people's welfare, make sure they're okay, and then from there we'll uh handle the accident. How you doing? >> Feeling good. >> They just told me to just sit tight. I just happened to come up on it when it happened. >> Perfect. >> I don't know where I should park my car. I don't even know what's laying it. Well, >> it's going to be NHP, but >> yeah, >> it's going to take a minute to get all this cleared out. >> I don't even looking at accidents like these. I'm like, dude, >> I have no idea what happened. Obviously, that car got hit >> a T-bone. Clearly >> bumper here from something. >> There's a freaking car that's going northbound or sorry, south >> northbound in a in the southbound lane. It's that uh blue card over here. She's like on the curb. >> The one back there that's >> Yeah, I guess she's on the curb. >> Oh. >> Ah. So, I don't [ __ ] know >> the [ __ ] is going on? >> I don't know. >> All right. So, basically what we have here is um accident scene. It's a cluster [ __ ] but we got this car right here. Uh looks like it was t-boned. We got this car somehow in the northbound travel lane going facing northbound in the southbound lanes. Uh so somehow they have front end damage. I don't know how they end up on the curb. Seems like the main accident occurred right here in the middle of the intersection. So for for her to get hit from here and somehow come all the way through here. As you can see, some of her vehicles fluid. I'm not necessarily sure how that happened, but that's where NHP is coming in and they're taking taking a lead on this accident to figure out what exactly happened. So when you live in this kid >> Uh-huh. Huh? >> So, point of impact's there. The only way this makes sense if she came way too wide into oncoming traffic, smacks her, knocks her that way, and then she continues where she was going. >> That's the only way any of this makes sense. >> From her turning off of 372 to 160. >> Yeah. So, from so Hyundai >> Uh-huh. >> trying to go northbound on 160 >> Uh-huh. >> swings wide into oncoming. Smacks that car, knocks her back. She continues that way. >> Oh, you see? I see what you mean. They're They're probably turning and she probably made that right hand and >> Yep. That's the only way it makes sense because you have point where the fluid starts. >> Yeah. >> You have the skid >> from where this car was. >> Uhhuh. >> And then you have She stays on her normal path of travel. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Did you need medical, ma'am? Did you >> I don't want to go to the hospital. If they could just check me out, I'd appreciate it. >> Okay. I have a bad root bridge on the left side here where >> he hit me on the side. Got my arm and impact my into my rib cage, but nothing's broken. I can tell that. >> No, no medical came and checked on you. >> No, nobody's checked on me yet. >> Okay, cool. I'll have one >> on down that way. >> Yeah, I guess they're going down to there. Um, I don't think that was medical. >> I'll call one I'll call one for you right now so they can come at least check on you. Most like since you're saying you have a bruising right here, they're more than likely. Yeah, right in the rib cage area here. >> You don't think anything's broken? >> I would like to have a double check, but I'm 99% sure I wouldn't be talking like this or anything else would cause it. >> Yeah. What they're What they're going to tell you in all honesty is they're going to be like, "Well, we won't know until we go get x-rays." >> Well, I'm not going to a hospital, this hospital. >> I got you. >> I've been here 29 years and this is >> I get you. Okay. Okay. So, I'll call medical for you and just um just so they can at least >> And who's going to tow the vehicle? I need to >> Did you want a tow or did you want your own personal toe or did you want us to call a toe for you? >> I have USAA. Um I And I have good Sam. >> Okay. If you want, you can call your own personal toe. It's probably a lot cheaper. >> And let's see if um my telephone is working. Y >> guitar guy killing it. >> Yep. We're over here. >> Low key. >> Lowkey just peaceful. Sure. They just had an accident, but you know, it's peaceful. We got a guitar. He's jamming out. >> He's been smiling the whole time, too. >> Yeah. >> He's like, I got naughty. >> Yeah. He's like, I ain't got to worry in the world. All right. So, what we're headed to now is a vehicle accident that one of the vehicles appeared to drive off and it's going to be a felony hit and run. So that what that means is that one of the vehicles left the scene of the accident >> and that there are injuries and one of the officers that's in the area >> unit or street department if there's some kind of liquid on the roadway that's extremely slick. I'm going have to continue blocking the turnway till they get 23 >> 10 750 750 >> 750 73 78 >> 750 copy. So now we're >> on 1081 78 Mary I'll be out >> 750. Copy. So we're still going to be on our way to that call. >> And there's going to be entrapment on one of the vehicles. truck. >> All right. How you doing? >> I'm all right. How are you? >> She seemed to be pulling off >> and I was waiting. I looked when I let up off the gas. She was right there. Oh yeah. >> Nothing like got tired and bone ran into us. We were both sitting here for a minute. Thought she pulled off. >> Okay. So, what happened right here is that there was a minor traffic accident here at one of our larger intersections. So, we needed multiple officers to hold traffic so that we could get uh our fire engine in here to clean up the spill of what liquid was in one of the vehicles spilled onto the roadway. And once we got that cleaned up, uh we're going to get out of here and get back on the road. Uh we are rolling up on a vehicle accident over here on 21. It might appear to be a threec car accident. I'm going to code five with him. American black shirt. He got on his brakes and axle rear engine hit me. But there the Nissan I didn't hit the Nissan. I swerved over and they took off. >> Yes, sir. And we got I got full coverage and I think full coverage going up right. >> I wasn't involved and I was over stop but I pulled over to make sure. >> You and the white truck. >> White truck. >> Okay. Um, whoever's driving on the driver's license and your insurance card. >> Yes, sir. The insurance is on its way. Mom got to >> Yeah, my parents got my insurance card. >> That's fine. Uh, just can they send you a picture of it? >> Uh, they're on their way. >> Okay. >> Do you need mine? >> Uh, no. If you weren't involved, >> what do you need me to do? >> I don't uh see if any of them are going to need it towed, but I don't think so. >> Okay. >> Okay. over there. I work at diverse care. >> Hello. >> How are you? >> Good. They're all friends with each other. >> So, it makes it a little bit easier with >> no problems, but I don't think there's any one hurt. Who drives this truck? >> You do? Have you seen the bumper? >> Yes, very much. >> So, was it this white truck? this car, this truck. >> He's just those >> just these three. >> It's just them three >> cuz I ran in the back of him, but it didn't even do nothing to his truck. So, >> okay. Did you see your bumper up there? How it's pressing the wheel? >> Yes, ma'am. I try to get the best out of the road as I can. >> Okay. Do you want it towed? >> Um, my dad's probably coming to get it, but I'm not sure. >> Does he have a tow truck to pick it up? >> My dad's probably coming. >> You want to drive to my work? You can drive? >> I don't think I can. >> Uhuh. It's pressing into the wheel. >> I don't think I can drive it. >> So, say if somebody has like a crowbar or something and can pull it away from it. >> Yeah, >> I can see that happening. But >> yeah, we can possibly get it to my work at least. >> Yeah. >> Okay, hang on. >> But are you guys all good? You don't need medics or anything like that? >> Okay, just >> All right. Just wanted to make sure >> emotional about their little trucks. >> Mine's fine, but I'm more worried about >> Look, this is the moment when you're glad you didn't buy a brand new one, you know. >> Yeah. No, they're good. >> Did someone slam on their brakes pretty quick and that's why you guys all hit each other? >> It was like He said it was a silver car. I have no idea. >> Okay. The one with the hat. Well, the hat backwards hat. Yes, ma'am. Okay. >> Was traffic slowing down? >> Yeah, it went up there slammed on his brakes. So, he had to slam. He had to slam >> and then you guys all hit each other. >> I tried to I saw him coming. going to try to get out of the way, but >> we'll drive it to the >> Yeah, I was going to say if you can get that off your tire, you'll be good to go. Just be careful when you turn. It'll probably rub. Might take wider turns. That's about it. Dang. Is the headlight actually broken or did it just pop out? >> Just popped out cuz it's chasing it. Just shove it up in there. >> This part was already broke right here. >> Well, at least a new bumper is not so bad. >> If that's all it is, if it didn't hit anything on the inside. >> Not that I know of. >> I think the only thing that's cracked is this. Unless it was cracked beforehand. >> Unless that was new. >> Casing. Everything was new. >> Oh, dang. I'm sorry. >> Yeah. Yeah, at least you guys are all okay, so that's a good thing. >> Never know when it's going to happen. >> Are they going to need a rotation? >> His stepdad's coming in with the pry bar. See if they can bend the >> bumper out of the wheel and then they're going to bring it to her her work. >> Okay. You want me to pull while you do that? >> I know. >> So, it was three friends that rear ended each other after our car slammed on its brakes and um they all were okay. And um they're going to go work on each other's trucks to go fix them. And everything's everything's really good. So, we are in route 727. >> We had a motorcycle wreck >> with injuries just come out. Um, so we're going to go >> see what's going on with that. It says it's just a negative entrapment single vehicle with confirmed injuries. >> 726. If you're asking us the mail, we go for unknown. >> Where's he at? >> Hey, brother. What's going on with you? >> What's going on with you? >> I mean, what's happening, man? >> Can you talk to me? >> I can talk to you. >> Yeah. You doing okay? You hurting anywhere? >> No, you're not hurting anywhere. >> Where am I at? >> Right here next to you. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, what the deal is? >> Do what? >> What the deal is? >> What the deal is? Uh, well, they said that you had a motorcycle wreck. Said you flew off your motorcycle. >> I fell on my motorcycle. >> Yeah. >> You can tell me where you're at right now. >> Can you tell me where you're at right now? >> My bike is all right. >> He said, uh, he said, "What's the deal?" He said, "Where's my motorcycle?" >> My motorcycle, right? >> Yes, sir. It's right here. It's It's not hurt bad. How How bad are you hurt? Where do you heard it? >> A bird, >> sir. >> Did anybody see it? >> No, I was coming by and uh >> he was here first and then as I was coming by, I saw it and pulled over and then right when I got here, they got here. >> So, you were the first one here and he You just seen him laying here. >> Yeah, I just saw the bike and I was like, "This is kind of strange." And so, I backed up and I saw I saw him laying there and I asked, "Was my bike down and 742? Everything's code for fire and EMS are both 1023. >> Yeah, y'all are good. Y'all can y'all can leave. I appreciate it. run you up to the hospital. >> Yeah, he told me what his name was, but he don't he didn't know where he's at >> cuz I said, "What's going on?" He said, "Where's my bike?" I said, "You're laying on it." >> Like, Well, what happened to it? And I was like, >> I don't know. You're laying out beside it. >> I don't know. I' been drinking. >> Okay. Well, I ain't worried about that. Say home >> tonight. >> All right. >> But you not hurting anywhere? >> I hurt no worry, man. >> Did I drink my bike? No, it's not bad. It ain't hurt. >> No, it's not hurting bad. >> So, the girl said >> the girl said that they were right there and it didn't seem like a bad rate like it didn't seem jarred or nothing. See, he just rolled off the side of the fence and just laid down. >> Okay. >> So, my bike is all right. >> Yes, sir. It's fine. >> Just want to make sure I do wrong. >> Let's see. >> Let's see if we can set you up. You want to set up? >> Yeah. >> All right. I need to >> Here you go. Give me a hand. Check. See if you got any mark on it. >> You didn't hit your head or nothing. >> No, man. I just got out. >> I think he I think he just hit his hit this and then just laid over. >> Yeah. Hit the fence and lay down. >> Went up to the club up there. >> Okay. >> You just hit the fence and get off and lay down. >> Hey, man. I I don't >> Okay. >> But I was trying to come home. >> Okay. Where you live at? >> I got Huh? >> Where you live? I did several places. >> Okay. What home are you going to right now? >> You're going to Hopson City to your house in Hopson City? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's the address? >> I'm staying with my daughter. >> She off 78 Highway 78 Highway. >> That's where I was coming to. >> And what's your name? >> My name is William. >> Okay. What's your birthday? >> Okay. >> You went to the club, you said? No, I went to the vet club, but the VA club. >> Okay. All right. I I just went out, you know. All right. >> Well, we just >> It ain't that crazy. He uh he just kind of veered off the road and his bike was stuck between the fence and he just got up and lay down on the >> ramp. 27 return. Louis Torres have report. >> I don't know whose property it is. I don't know if it's theirs or theirs. >> We uh what we thought was a motorcycle accident with injuries. Um the gentleman is seems to be pretty intoxicated. He um was coming going into Hopsson City going to his daughter's house and said that he just hit the fence and it seems like he hit the fence and got his bike stuck and just kind of lay down on the side of the road next to his bike. So, uh, >> there is going to be some property damage to a fence that did hit. So, we're going to try to make contact uh and see who owns the fence so we can get further details. I don't believe anybody lives here. >> Ready? Get your feet under you. All right, let's go. There you go. Now, let's put on >> We're going to take a couple steps right over here. Okay. >> Right here. >> You ready? >> Yeah. >> All right. >> You got an idea. Anything else? Okay. >> So, like I said, he he hit the fence and there's just I mean, it's nothing even crazy at all. >> I'll let him know tomorrow, but I doubt if it's anything. >> Okay, good deal. We just >> He Okay. >> Yeah, he's fine. He's uh he said he was coming from the club. I think he had a little too much to drink. I don't even know how to work. I ain't >> You work anywhere? >> No. Huh? >> You work anywhere? >> You work? >> I've been between you. I work. You need anything else? >> We'll see. All right. >> I ain't no criminal. >> No. >> Good. Well, let's get you on this stretch. You want your your water. >> There's a black man riding Harley. Don't break your glasses right here, bro. >> You know what I'm talking about? Yo, y'all treat me like I'm a criminal, >> brother. We wouldn't even be here if you didn't wreck. We're not treating you like that. We just want to make sure you're okay. >> Hey. Hey, Bubba. >> We wouldn't be here if you didn't. >> Hey, Bubba. Hey, Bubba. >> Hello. >> Hey, Bubba. I'm talking about I I crashed and I've been twisted. >> Hey, you want me to put your stuff in your wallet for you so you don't lose it? >> Here you go. I got you. Do me a favor. Spin around and put you back right here for me. All right. You do that for me. >> Hospital. You're going to the hospital. >> You got to go to the hospital. >> You ain't going with us. You're going to the hospital. You're going with paramedics. >> You ain't going to jail. You're going to get checked on to make sure you're okay. >> I don't think I need that. Call my daughter. >> You don't want to go to the hospital? >> Call my daughter. >> Your daughter? Well, we're not going to do that. So, I'm going let you know if you don't go to the hospital, I'm going to take you to jail for DUI. >> You don't You would rather go to jail than go to the hospital. >> You need to go get checked out. >> I got good insurance. >> You got you your insurance has nothing. You You wrecked, man. You need to go get checked out. You may be injured. >> Come on. in there. You know, give me a break. You come back. >> Well, we're trying to give you a break, but you need to lay back and let us carry you to the hospital. >> Okay. >> If not, he's going to carry you to jail. >> So, >> take me to jail. >> You'd rather go to jail than the hospital, right? >> All right. Give me a second. Hang out for >> Hang on a minute. >> How much you had a drink tonight? >> I'm drunk. >> I know that. I asked how much you had a drink. Yeah. >> One, two, three, five. Oh, man. I control everything. >> All right. This your last chance. You want to go to the hospital or you want to go to jail? I prefer you to just go to the hospital and just get looked at, make sure you're okay, and then you can be on your way. I really don't think it's necessary for you to go to jail tonight >> over something that you don't need to go to jail for. >> You You got the chance. Y'all got your reason. You're making a big You're blowing out of proportion about the whole situation. >> No, sir. Mr. Cole, you are laying on the side of the street next to your motorcycle. You're under the influence of alcohol. There's no reason. And we're not blowing it out of proportion. So, how about you just lay back right here and go up to the hospital and get checked out? >> Okay. >> All right. Lay back for me. >> All right. >> Lay back for me. I need you to lay back. Put your back right there for me. >> Don't worry about my brother. >> We going to handle it. They got it. >> They going. >> We calling about it and everything. We're trying to call your daughter and get something rearranged so she can get your bike. >> You call my daughter. >> We're trying to. That's what he's doing right now. His car. >> Lay back for me. Just go get checked out. >> 7:42 7:26. >> He's going to go to the hospital. >> Call came in for a possible vehicle accident with injuries. uh a single vehicle with a motorcycle. Uh upon further investigation, we got here and realized that the driver of the motorcycle was highly intoxicated. Uh he admitted to been drinking pretty much the whole night. Um said that he was out partying and at a club, said he wrecked his motorcycle into a fence and then proceeded to get off and lay on the ground next to it. Um asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital. He was going to refuse. Um we had to talk to him a little bit and see what his deal was, why he didn't want to go to the hospital. We told him that he would be arrested for DUI if he did not go to the hospital. Um he decided he didn't want to go and get checked out. So, uh the vehicle, motorcycle was going to be towed and uh he's going to the hospital to get checked out. So, we're uh we're headed to a vehicle accident with injuries. Uh it's going to be at 78 and 21. Um, so they're saying that there are injuries and because of that we want to get there to be able to make sure that obviously no one's completely injured or to the point where we need to start rendering medical aid. Um, so that is where we're headed at the moment and we will assess it once we get there. figure out where they're actually at. Cuz most of the time when they give us a location of like 7821, um it's not always completely accurate. It may be a little bit past it, a little bit, you know, before it or something like that. So, at that point, we got to figure out where where this thing is at. Uh, appears somebody. All right, let's see. 75 1023 Uh let me grab my traffic vest and we'll go out there and uh so anytime that we're on a accident or out doing something uh we got to be able to be seen so that way we don't become a another person that does get hit. Um so it is always one of those things. Safety first. Hey, >> Daisy. I'm sorry. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah. I It just hit my chest. I'm okay. >> Okay. All right. >> My door just went open over there. >> On that side? You were the only one in the car? >> Yes. They're being hurt. >> Okay. Um if you'll just get your license, insurance, you can stay seated in the car. Just cuz I don't It's cold. It's getting cold out here. Okay. >> All right. >> She said she hit her chest. Um >> maybe she checking them out whenever you get a chance. There's a female in the pink shirt that was a witness. He's in the vehicle here. I told her to hang out and talk to y'all before she left. >> All right, good deal. Um, let's see who was driving this thing. >> He's the one standing right there. >> Okay. >> All right. So, uh, if you want to talk to him whenever, uh, he gets done checking him out. I'll talk to her, see what she says. >> Yeah, she said she was a witness. Um, so she said that she was fine. Uh, but we got to figure out what's going on. Hey. >> Hey. How you doing? I'mma call you back. >> So, I'm Officer Rubber. Um, did you see the accident occur? >> I did. I was at the light. >> Um, do you have your license on you? >> All right. So, where were you at? >> I was at the light. >> You were at the at the light in this lane right here? >> Yes. >> Okay. Were you behind one of the cars? >> No. >> Okay. What What happened once >> What happened? She uh didn't see that the light was red and so she kept going and his light was green. >> Okay. >> And so in her not seeing that, she hid him. >> Okay. >> And caused him to >> Where was she at? >> She was in this turning lane. >> She was in this turning lane. So her light was red. >> Coming from right here coming from that intersection. >> Okay. >> Coming this way. >> Okay. So he was at that turn lane was coming this way. >> Mhm. >> Um her light was red. She didn't see it and then >> came and hit him. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Uh, at this point, you're good to get out of here. I don't know which way you're trying to go. >> Oh, this way. I can probably um >> turn. >> Yeah. Let me let me try and sweep some of this or get at least some of this stuff out of the road. Um, I'll have you back up and then I'll have you uh >> just turn >> just come in between this car and the outside lane. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Was your like green? >> Did you have a green turn light? >> Yes. For all. Okay. I'm going to get the tag and stuff like that. And then >> listen, the reason this expired is I bought this car and it had to have a whole fuse box and all that stuff. I just It just got rid >> and I hadn't even had time. You know what I'm saying? Literally. And that uh they told me they were going to transfer it over. The actual original tag is back there. Yeah. The one um they said they was going to change it over from my Honda Accord. So it may still come up. The tags back there. I'm not trying to switch. They told me they could it would transfer over. I didn't want you think cuz they're both expired. I wouldn't be trying to. It's not like I'd be getting away with nothing. You know what I'm saying? >> Just uh >> take a breath, fill out that paper coming up on the plan. Okay. >> And then uh we'll get all this information and we'll start asking questions. Okay. >> Oh yes, sir. Oh, did you drop my pen? >> I know. It's right here. It's not going anywhere. I was talking to you. It's not going anywhere. >> Well, I'm going to open this door. >> Okay. Yeah, >> maybe. >> Well, no. It's locked. Oh, my bad. >> Oh, you're good. >> No, no, no, no, no. >> I mean, it couldn't have went far. I just had it. >> Yeah. >> He ain't going to bite me, is it? >> No, she >> Okay. Oh, she here. I'm going to shut this way. She don't jump out. Okay. Thank you so much. >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. Let's run this tag. Let's see what we got. >> 75 1028. So, we run these tags just make sure they are supposed to be uh on this specific vehicle. Also, we can run insurance on it. >> Um, and then whenever we go to fill out our accident reports and stuff like that, it allows us to uh autopop populate the vehicle information and >> uh sometimes the driver information as well. Uh, makes it a little bit easier, a little bit quicker. Um, and then we have to have them each vehicle is registered so that way it goes to the specific vehicle. She's saying that it's possibly going to come back to a Honda Accord. Uh, if that's the case, it's technically switch tag most of the time unless it's insurance or uh, no license or something like that. On a traffic accident, we we try to refrain from riding citations unless we absolutely have to, just cuz it's already one traumatic event. There's no sense in compounding it with a citation on top of it. Um, that's just being a little bit of empathy towards somebody, especially in a bad situation. So, uh, if you're good with it. Hey, I'm going to flip my car over here on this side to be able to block this turn lane. >> All right. All right. So, because we've got people that aren't wanting to uh not drive right through the middle of a traffic accident, uh, we're going to go ahead and move to the other side of this intersection to block that left turn lane to go south onto 21. So here's the rotation. The front door of the parking lot. They're coming Today 78 Yeah, thankful. Never. Do you need to see that other tag, sir? So, I got sent out to a vehicle accident right there at 21 and 78. Um, the first car involved attempted to go left realized that as she was distracted by uh the dog in the back seat that was trying to get in the front seat. um she decided that she was going to ended up running the red light. Um so whenever she ran the red light um she ended up getting uh hit by the other car that had a green light that was involved. Uh one car's airbags went completely out. The other one no airbags came out. Um and then luckily we had a citizen that decided to stop because she witnessed the accident. Um so we talked to her, asked her what happened. Um, and that's exactly what happened. Um, so luckily there is a camera right there at that intersection. So we're going to uh contact Kevin um try and review the footage um be able to get it completely accurate after we get done with our report. Uh one of the occupants uh we released him from the scene. They both declined medics uh after he had left started feeling chest pains. Um so then he decided to come back and uh request medical attention. So, we called uh the medics back to the scene and they end up transporting him to the hospital for medical treatment. Um, most of the time it's due to heightened um senses. Whenever you first get into an accident, once that adrenaline and stuff like that wears off, uh you start feeling the pain uh regardless of where it's at. And so, because of that, uh he requested to go to the hospital and so we made sure he was able to get there. Heat. Heat.
