it's truly unsettling to think about the life-threatening incidents happening in the supposed Safe Haven of schools and when those responsible for education and the students themselves are involved in illegal activities it's even more disturbing there are five instances when school criminals realize they've been caught number five student arrested after video of him with weapon reaches police in Atlantic high school a school resource officer acting on a tip off from a concerning Tik Tock video zeros in on a 16-year-old student the video now a pivotal piece of evidence allegedly shows the teen with a weapon the detail that escalates the situation from Mere suspicion to a Potential Threat the officer approaches the student who is seemingly clueless as to why he's being questioned you know what I want to talk to you about you don't know the student unaware of the gravity of the situation is caught off guard the officer's request is simple but imperative all right do me a favor keep your hands out of your pockets for me okay take your backpack off for him the student complies removing his backpack with a hint of confusion shadowing his face the officer reveals the reason for the encounter a photo is surfaced one that paints a worrying picture with a student at the center allegedly with a weapon peeking from his pocket somebody reported that they have a photo of you and in the you ever had to make the dreaded trip to the principal office where you can practically taste the trouble in the air well this time flip the script it's the principal who's caught in a major pickle and what she's done could bring about some seriously Hefty consequences far worse than just a detention slip Heather Walton the principle of Roy B Kelly Elementary School in Lockport finds herself in a precarious situation when her Lincoln Navigator crashes into two trees on a Davison Road property leading to her arrest for driving while intoxicated the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. near Route 31 and the lockb Town and Country Club what follows is body cam footage of the aftermath in the video a cop tells Walton she's getting arrested for driving under the influence you are under arrest for driving while intoxicated a refuser to submit to a chemical test or any portion thereof will result in immediate suspension and subsequent revocation of your license or operating privilege then the officer explains that if she refuses a breathalyzer or blood test her driver's license will get suspended right away and could eventually get taken away refusal to submit to a chemical test or any portion thereof can be introduced into evidence against you at any trial proceeding or hearing resulting from this arrest plus they could use her refusal against her in court but even with all that info Walton says no to the test to a chemical test to determine the alcohol or drug content of your blood I'm sorry no okay and you understand that that's when the officer warns her about a DMV hearing that could mess up her driving privileges even more we'll have a hearing and they may suspend or take away your license okay I'm puzzled as to why she decided to decline the chemical test I mean it's practically a no-brainer at this point she's obviously drunk you can see it plain as day she can't even manage to stand still for a single second now when someone refuses a chemical test in a situation like this it's waving a big red flag it not only makes you wonder about their awareness of the situation but also about what they might be trying to hide or avoid maybe it's a mix of not fully grasping the legal consequences and may be hoping that by refusing they can dodge some legal trouble but it's a risky move that can raise even more questions during the legal proceedings as things unfold during the arrest Walton gets a Miranda rights read to her not refuse to answer any questions anything you do say can will be used against you in a court of law as we discuss this matter you have a right to stop answering my questions anytime you desire now she's got a choice she can either talk to the officer or stay silent but she decides to go ahead and answer his questions your your right only way to answer my questions the officer wants to know about her drinking so he asks how much she's had to drink serly how much did you have to drink cuz she had way more than you had something so how much did you drink cuz I know and what type of alcohol she had so what did you had beer wine liquor liquor what kind of liquor vodka vodka Walton comes clean and says she had some vodka this interaction coupled with her refusal to submit to a breath test both at the scene and later at the station leads to charges including misdemeanor DWI refusal to take a breath test and failure to maintain her Lane Walton is subsequently released on an appearance ticket but it doesn't stop there her job takes a hit too the school district acts pretty fast and puts her on leave they bring in an interim principal as a temporary fix for the problem Walton who used to be a source of guidance and Leadership now finds herself in the midst of a legal ordeal the charges are hanging over her head a court date is on the horizon and the legal proceedings are about to kick into gear as the saying goes regret often comes when it's too late in this case her entire life job and reputation have been tarnished all because of a bottle of vodka number three mom arrested for bringing weapon to son's Elementary School a mother is involved in an incident that captures the attention of school security and subsequently the police she's there to drop off her son a daily ritual that takes an unexpected turn the security officer at the school spots something concerning a firearm in the woman's bag asked the administrator was she in the building with the bag and she said yes how' you guys find out she had the the security officer of my understanding seen the gun this discovery prompts immediate action and the police are called to the scene their task is clear to address the potential threat and ensure the safety of everyone at the school upon arrival the officers engage with the woman they ask her to hand over her bag for a closer inspection I went over there and I asked take the bag off of her she said I ain't giving you my gun so I said just take the bag off and we'll talk about it and she was like I ain't giving you my gun however the woman is reluctant she insists on her right to carry the weapon leading to a standoff with the officers the situation quickly escalates and the officers decide to handcuff to neutralize any Potential Threat so I said come here where you going she decided to walk away so I grabbed her and I cuffed her and I pulled the gun out of out of her the firearm is secured and the immediate risk is contained the woman is visibly upset by the turn of events you already got my gun what do you need my purse you took my P relax stop she's not happy at all about getting arrested especially right in front of her kid's school which he thinks is incredibly embarrassing baby if this not the most gun in a school she goes on to say that she had actually told the school security before about having a firearm and thought she was in the clear how did I didn't take it and not tell them I informed them cuz I walked my baby to school it's illegal to bring gun in and I tell them I've come here every day there's not nothing to go in our car okay despite her protests crazy you you a straight you came now man stop nothing the officers proceed with their duties emphasizing the seriousness of bringing a weapon onto school property the mom demands her weapon back and keeps saying she didn't do anything wrong I need my gun back when it's all done and said like did nothing wrong I informed everybody and everything like what I do this every day turn around it's interesting because she appears quite confident and doesn't seem ready to admit that what she did might be against the law I think s up no it was too tight on want and I told him and I told him I was going to slip out the other one because that other one was so tight I told him before he did it and he laughed at me like additionally she claims that she never meant to harm anyone and doesn't feel like she deserves the consequences she's facing came up here and Tred to hurt somebody I ain't come up here to do nothing to nobody talk about I informed you you can go watch your videos I don't even have to go nowhere God specifically told them it's pretty mindboggling how she's so convinced she's in the right even though it's been pointed out to her that what she did is against the law I guess when you're in your own little world you tend to have your own set of rules right she come up here I brought my baby to school what's really raising eyebrows is when she mentions that she's always informed the school security about it and she's never faced any consequences before the security guard like I got my guns something I tell him every single day I'm do a quick on with the back of my hand right embarrassing myid SCH it does seem a bit suspicious doesn't it if she's been doing this all along why hasn't it been reported before could there possibly be some sort of secret arrangement with a sec security guard if she's indeed been regularly informing security about bringing a weapon to school with her child it definitely warrants a closer look and some questioning regarding the security guard's involvement here she goes once more repeating the same story never seen her I just told them man I had it because I'm taking my baby inside to school refusing to accept any accountability for what she's done the video doesn't really give us a clear resolution but one thing's for sure some people just don't get what being accountable means this mom is all wrapped up in her own embarrassment and doesn't seem to care about breaking the law or putting others in danger it's wild how she's acting like she's the one being wronged when her actions could cause trouble for others and hey not knowing the law isn't an excuse especially with everything going on in the world she should know better than to bring a deadly weapon to school number two police confront belligerant parent at Florida school schools can definitely have their fair share of drama and it's not just limited to the students parents can get involved too but when it starts to include a dangerous weapon a road rage incident and someone who's All Fired Up in belligerent that's when the police have to step in and that's exactly what this next case is all about in an elementary school pickup line tensions unexpectedly escalate when police confront a parent named Vinnie what I'm telling you is we have we have a complaint that a firearm which was presented okay at a school you understand that did I present it at a school I just pulled in look Vinnie who's there to pick up his son finds himself at the heart of grave accusations leading to charges of possessing a weapon on or near school grounds an aggravated assault it all started with a road rage incident as Vinnie was heading to the school suddenly things take a turn when another parent reports to the school staff that Vinnie seems to have pulled out what looks like a firearm during the heated exchange with the other driver the officers approached Vinnie's car with caution and body cameras rolling signaling him to step out s just pulled in look all I need you to do is Vinnie's reaction is immediate and intense and this guy can run me off the road and drive away where's he at where is he at where is he at he drove away already you're not listening to me he feels wronged especially since he's just dealt with a road rage incident involving another driver who according to him ran him off the road and then disappeared Vinnie just can't wrap his head around why the police are honing in on him instead of going after the other driver you're not going to address it cuz he's done how can that be I know you're upset I know you're upset no you don't the whole Situation's got him pretty worked up as things heat up you can see Vinnie getting more and more agitated he's genuinely concerned about how this whole confrontation is being perceived by the other parents nearby you're going to make me look like a criminal in front of I'm not trying to make you look like anything yes you are what you're doing is you're elevating what I need you to am elting calm down why would I not elev if someone ran you off the road he strongly denies any wrongdoing especially the accusation of presenting a firearm you can tell that his frustration isn't just about the situation itself but that he's genuinely upset about what he sees as an unjust situation the officers are doing their best to handle the situation and they're urging Vinnie to calm down I want to get my son and go home that's I want to do what I need you to do is relax right now okay to prevent getting yourself in any trouble okay trouble for what for what they have to look into the report about the firearm and Vinnie's cooperation is pretty crucial right now but let's be honest Vinnie isn't exactly in the mood to cooperate bring it down a couple can you go get that who ran me off the road are you going to do that bring did you call anybody for that answer my damn question listen sir answer my question you're going to force me to do some things I don't want you the confrontation just keeps going and you can see Vinnie getting more more animated he's laying into the police for what he believes is the failure to address the real issue normal it's normal he can commit a crime no he can't he just ran the [ __ ] light ran me up the road you haven't done we'll we'll we'll figure that out man oh my you're not going to figure out you guys never Vinnie's demeanor is a mix of anger and disbelief he can't believe he's being detained questioned and treated like a criminal in front of his son's school I'm sick by you see my demeanor we can work through this do I seem like I'm IR irrational all I know is the guy who just ran me off the road the officer meanwhile stays calm despite being in a difficult position he informs Vinnie that they have received reports of a firearm at school the situation they must take seriously listen to me listen to me sir for a second I'll let you talk I've got parents screaming at a school that someone presented a firearm what show me show me my they're working on a tight RPP here trying to balance out what happened okay no you already know what happened according to you you got multiple Witnesses but Vinnie is not backing down down he's challenging the officers questioning the legality of their actions and The credibility of the accusations against him ran to some guy and told him and then it was a duck duck goose game and then everybody said yeah we all in it and that's a lie it's a lie you got you guys got traffic cams right there Vinnie keeps insisting that he's just there to pick up his son pick up my son that I do every [ __ ] some stranger tells you you're going to believe it and he's really struggling to understand why he's Suddenly at the heart of this whole incident even tried to track that guy down cuz you're all worried about me but despite Vinnie's explanations and grievances the officer doesn't let him leave now you're not free to go you have 30 minutes I know I want college not jail the police are dealing with a highly charged and potentially risky situation and they're doing their best to unravel the truth that's that's what I've got some they're they're there trying to figure that out now so I want this Lan L come over here and tell you the truth that's what I want another officer starts putting away Vinnie's belongings and that really gets him even more upset Tak my I'm not taking it I'm just putting no you're not he is he's putting it in my car on my section I'm putting it away for a second I'm putting in a safe location okay this is still a school man due to Vinnie's increasingly angry demeanor and the escalating tension the officer makes a calculated decision to put him in handcuffs for safety reasons choose her here or did you let him go you're not under arrest I'm securing I'm putting it on you and if you resist if I'm not under arrest you're not putting that on me I'm securing you for safety reasons okay now Vinnie finds himself detained and his fate hangs in the balance what's going on oh my God oh my God if you're not I aming ultim you're detained okay meanwhile thece police are pressing on with their investigation amid a whirlwind of emotions and accusations for what we what's my crime God we don't know yet we don't know yet you don't know yet we don't know yet but you don't know yet but while I figure it out I'm detain seem right to you as Vinnie is escorted into the patrol car he remains loud and defiant Guys these your deputies right hey over here off just relax man I can't relax when I'm being detained for no reason as the legal process moves forward Vin is scheduled for an arraignment Hearing in June where the case will be further examined you know I can't help but be more bothered by Vinnie's attitude than whatever he's been accused of those officers were super patient and understanding but he didn't show them an ounce of respect I get he's upset about not being able to reach his kid right away but if he had just kept his cool things might have gone a lot smoother here's hoping his son turns out to be a more respectful and kind human being despite having him as a role model number one teen caught with firearm in her possession in a Florida high school the day takes an unexpected turn as officers approach Alisha McKenzie an 18-year-old student with a serious allegation did you do you recall did you ever make a statement like that yesterday that maybe somebody you were messing around or somebody said they saw it or heard it they never apparently someone had reported that McKenzie had brought a weapon to school the officers request to inspector backpack in firmly insist on a thorough search okay can I see your backpack you have anything else on you that you shouldn't have on you today could you empty your pockets out for me she's also asked to empty her Pockets a request that may seem invasive but is considered necessary given the circumstances huh cuz I'm checking for thear I'm checking everything then empty your now Ken is feeling a bit hesitant and understandably so but the officers emphasize the importance of cooperation hinting at the potential consequences if she decides not to go along with it I don't huh I don't feel like empty your pockets so you're going to be the atmosphere grows tense with suspicion quite literally as one officer claims to smell illegal substances coming from her I smell but that I I I'm listen I'm just explaining to you that I'm doing a safety check no one's accused you of anything Mackenzie appears genuinely puzzled by this claim we have a serious allegation we are going to search you okay but can you call my mom CU I don't feel this is necessary it was other kids in the classroom I know however the officers remain unwavering and continue their search because of McKenzie's resistance she's ultimately placed in handcuffs stand up what wait why cuz I'm telling you to stand up stand up Mr yeah you're not under arrest you understand that the Turning Point comes when the officers discover a firearm in MacKenzie's possession that's my wallet she expresses her discomfort as she's given a pat down insisting that she has nothing else on her let cooperate I am oh my God bro you serious sit down how did with it I was just caring she mentions bullying and feeling threatened yet her words do little to lessen the gravity of her situation carrying it around on school grounds because I understand that it's people on school ground that likes to bully people and I felt like I was being bullied by certain people on school ground the officers asked about where she got the weapon where did you get the gun I got it from off the streets and dig deeper to uncover how she got her hands on it did you steal it from no ma'am did you acquire it from somebody else so how did you get it as they continue questioning her a surprising Revelation emerges how long have you had the gun how many times have you brought it to school just like the first today's the first the officers then identify the weapon 380 semi-automatic is there anything in it yes it's loaded it's loaded I'm sorry no it's not a this it's a Ruger and are taking a back to find out that it's loaded it was it has a magazine with bullets and there was one in the chamber it's going to be a transport right yes sir oh yeah McKenzie becomes more distressed upon learning of her impending arrest can I make a phone call please you can make a phone call when you get to the in County Jail the county jail yes are you serious yes the reality sinks in this isn't just a misunderstanding or a minor mistake there you have something so it's very serious nature so they're going to they're going to have to do this until it get worked out despite her protests and pleas for understanding the law is clear and she can't escape the consequences you're walking around in school with a gun with bullets in understand that but no one was home sir I don't care she's now facing a felony charge a significant turning point in her young life it is a felony to have a weapon on school grounds she expresses regret mentioning she was on the verge of completing juvenile probation and insists she didn't bring the gun to school the previous day the officers take a moment to explain the situation mentioning that things might have gone smoother if she hadn't resisted earlier you know if you refuse this is what happens so if I would empty my pockets y' would never did this to me no well you still would have been arrested but you don't have to go through all the angle they let McKenzie know that she's being arrested for possessing a weapon on school grounds which unfortunately is a felony I just want to know what's going Happ so just like I told you you're going to go to the county jail okay you're under arrest right now for possession of a weapon on school grounds it's a felon despite her pleas they let her know that she'll be taken to the county jail where she'll have the chance to make a phone call here you're going to be transported to the county jail okay at that time you will be able to use the phone in Booking yeah Mr Branch to call whoever you'd like she's then asked if her mother is aware that she has a firearm in her possession who do you live with just CU I still my mom your mother yeah does she know you got one no Mackenzie begs the officers to contact her mother went on my end contact your mother I can you please I she nose please well that's like the law enforcement right now she will know when you contact her at the jail despite her age which is 18 they assure her that they will eventually get in touch with her mother right now right now you are 18 okay you're an adult at this point so we don't have to follow the same things that we would with a juvenile okay so when you get they discussed the seriousness of the offense with McKenzie making the clear indication that she's no longer considered a minor in the eyes of the law the officers treat her with a level of respect due to her age but do not shy away from the reality of the legal process she's about to face McKenzie's concerns about bullying at school start to come to the surface giving us a glimpse into a backstory filled with difficulties and challenges Elicia are you in fear of anything oh I'm just I me is there anybody at school that you're worried about I mean yeah it was not any longer she opens up about her sister's attempt to report The Bullying trying to like they was messing with me and my sister and I did you report anybody of time and mentioned some girls who were going after her plenty of time she was facing bullying is undoubtedly a serious matter and it's evident that the officers empathize with the teen's predicament however the immediate and more pressing concern at that moment was the weapon she had brought to school and the Potential Threat it posed to everyone around had it not been discovered in her possession the officer's final interactions with McKenzie underscore the transition from a school disciplinary issue to a matter of Criminal Justice they prepare for her departure to to the county jail which is a big change from the school she's used to they talk about calling her mom and Gathering her stuff their words making it sink in how close she was to real trouble all because of a bad decision she made it's just mindboggling how unaware she seems about how serious the situation is and the very real possibility of ending up behind bars it's a chilling thought to consider what might have unfolded and who could have been harmed if the police hadn't stepped in bringing a weapon to school is never acceptable even if it remains in your bag and you have no harmful intentions McKenzie learns this the hard way unfortunately well that wraps up our list of
