We're going to a welfare check. Somebody passed by a vehicle apparently saw a male inside the car passed out. They said looks like he's slumped over. Not sure if he's breathing. We're just down the street. And apparently the car is running. So I think I see what is described as the vehicle that they were talking about. So we're going to pull up, see if the guy's still in the car. or if he is. We're trying to make contact with him and see if he's all right. Doesn't look like it's occupied right now. Oh, yeah. He's sitting in the car. So, he's sitting in the car. Don't know if he's sleeping or what it is. So, we're going to go ahead and flip around here and see what his welfare is. Make sure he's all right. Lock the plate first. Hello, sir. Sheriff's office. How you doing? Hey. >> Oh, >> sheriff's office. >> Yeah, I know. >> Hey, can you wake up for me? >> Okay. Can you open your eyes? What's going on? Hi, police. >> Sorry, dude. >> What's going on? Are you all right? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I just uh h drinking last night and um woke up this morning while you were uh No big deal, dude. I need to wake up. >> All right. How long you been sitting here? >> Just a little bit. Oh, come on. >> Just a little bit. Okay. Can you put your shoes on real quick so I can talk to you for a minute? Absolutely. All right. Now, you have any weapons in you on you or in the car? >> No. >> Huh? >> No. No. No. >> Okay. >> Hold on. God damn it. >> Was it Was it night time when you passed out? >> No. No. No. No. I was just here, man. The hell? Oh my god. Are you [ __ ] kidding me? Are you [ __ ] kidding me? It's daytime. Are you [ __ ] kidding me? >> It is daytime. You have your wallet and stuff on you. >> Oh my god. >> You got to be kidding me, dude. >> Or your Are you Carlos? That's your car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Yeah. Just here. Just Just come out here. Let me talk to you real quick. Make sure you're all right. >> What the [ __ ] >> How far away do you live from here? a ways. Okay. Yeah. Just hop out here for me real quick. >> Cool. Cool. Intercept in front of my car real quick. It's right over here. It's right over here in the front. Cool. Just make you got no weapons on you. Okay. Just face my car real quick for a second. All right. Can I just look in your pockets? Make sure you don't have anything crazy. >> Okay. Just been drinking last night. About what time was your last drink? >> Last night. Remember last night? I have no idea. >> Remember what time? >> Like >> like late like >> p.m. 7:00 p.m. I have no idea. >> Okay. >> I have no idea. >> Till pretty late. >> Yeah, literally. Literally like I have no idea, dude. >> Okay. All right. >> I have no idea. I have no idea. >> And where are you headed to now? >> I was going home. I have no idea, dude. To be honest with you, I have no idea. >> Okay. Where's your home at? >> I live in Artisia of uh the French. >> Oh, okay. >> Mhm. >> Got you. Okay. >> I have no idea, dude. I have no idea. >> All right. So, like I said, my the main concern was just that obviously you're passed out here is number one. And number two, obviously, is making sure that you're still not intoxicated if you're drinking. >> No. >> I'm [ __ ] confused, dude. >> Why? because I I thought I was at home or anything. >> Yeah. Okay. >> I thought I was parked at home. >> So, you didn't realize you were parked here on the side of the road? >> Okay. All right. >> Okay. Well, just so I can eliminate anything suspicions of you being drunk. So, can I just do some tests for you? >> Sure. >> Okay. All right. So, it's just going to be the simple just field sobriety test. Have you done those before? >> No. >> At all. Okay. So, I'm gonna run through you run you through those real quick just to make sure you're not drunk. >> Um and then at the end of those, would you mind doing a quick uh PBT just to see if you have anything on your breath? What do you mean? >> It's just a breath test, preliminary breath test in the field. Sure. >> Okay, cool. Let me do those real quick. All right. Um so, I'm pretty much what I'm going to do is I'm going minister you a set of tests. Okay. help me determine whether or not you're impaired or over the influence of alcohol while you're um operating a vehicle on technically on a public roadway, public access. Okay. >> So, um my evaluation be based upon how well you follow my test and whether or not you listen to my instructions and uh perform the test exactly how I demonstrate them. >> Okay. >> Okay. That make sense? >> All right. So, the first test is going to be test of your eyes. Are you on any medication by a doctor >> currently? Prescription medication. I guess I am um What do you take? >> I take uh I guess nothing that's going to impair me. Um >> Okay. >> Yeah. No, just uh I take regular, you know, medicine. >> Um nothing's going to impair me now. >> Okay. All righty. Do you wear glasses or contact lenses? >> Yeah. >> Are you wearing contacts right now? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> They're in and there. >> Okay. Gotcha. All righty. Um any of the injuries with your legs or anything like that that would uh hinder your balance or ability to walk in a straight line? >> No, sir. >> No. Okay. All righty. Your last drink was about 8:00. Was that like just a beer >> last night? Yes, sir. >> What kind of like a what size beer? >> Just a regular beer. >> Like a bottle of Corona or a can? >> Just a tall can. >> Tall can. >> Okay. What I want you to just do is just stand with your feet together just like this. Just put your arms down to your side just like that. Can you put your heels and toes together for me? Perfect. Yep. Just like that. Okay. And just stay in that position until I tell you otherwise. Okay. So, the first test with your eyes. You don't have any kind of resting nestagmas or any issues with your eyes that would prevent you from >> stagmatism. It's about it. >> Okay. I got the same thing. So, so I'm going to check your eyes. Can you see my finger? Okay. >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, just stand straight. What I want you to do is I want you to uh keep your hands by your side for me. Keep your hands down by your side for me. Yep. Just like that. Perfect. So, what I want you want to follow my fingers with your eyes and your eyes only. Don't move your head. Does that make sense? >> Okay. And keep following my finger until I tell you to stop. All right. Okay. Okay. All righty. So, the next two tests are going to be tests uh with your legs. Okay. So, one's going to require you walking and one's going to require you stand on one leg. Any issues with either of those? >> Perfect. You see, you see this little black part right here. >> All right, cool. We'll use that line. Is that good for you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You're going to take your left foot. Okay. You're going to place that on the line just like you have it. You're going to place your right foot ahead of your left foot. You're going to have the heel of your right foot against the toe of your left foot just like I'm doing. And then keep your arms down by your side just like you have them. Okay? And can you stay in that position until I tell you to begin? When I tell you to start, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps down the line. You're going to use your foot to take a series of small steps to turn yourself around. You're going to take nine heel to those steps back down the line. Okay. Again, when you turn, you're going to keep your lead foot on the line. You're going to take a series of small steps with the other foot and you're going to make you turn yourself around. Okay. So, I'm going to demonstrate what that looks like for you before you start. Okay. So, again, your left foot's there, your right foot starting, arms on by your side. You're going to take nine steps down the line, heels and toes touching. When you get to the end, you're going to keep your left foot on the line. You're going to use your foot to plant plant your foot. Rotate it just like that to turn yourself around. Okay? You're going to take nine heel toe steps back down the line all the way down the line. Okay? And when you're taking your steps, you're going to count your steps out loud. Okay? And you're going to look at your feet the whole time you're walking. >> Okay? >> All good? >> Yep. >> You need me to reexlain anything or demonstrate anything? >> Okay. When you're ready, you go ahead and begin the test. Okay? >> One, two, three, four, five, three. 1 2 3 4 >> 5 6 7 8 9. >> All right. So, for the last test, what I want you to do is stand with your feet together again. Arms on by your sides, heels, toes together. Looks like you've been doing perfect. Appreciate it. When I tell you to start, you're going to raise either leg of your choice with your foot approximately 6 in off the ground. You're going to keep that raised foot parallel to the ground as much as you can. You're going to keep both legs straight and your arms out by your side. Okay? While you're in that position, you're going to count out loud in the following manner. 1001 >> 1002 10003 1004 1005 1006 >> M say keep going I tell you to stop >> 107 1008 10901 2012 113 2014 2018 2019 2020. >> All right, you can stop. Okay. All right. You want to come over front of my car real quick? Um, I can definitely tell that he is still under the influence of alcoholic beverage just based upon his horizontal gaze and stagness test with his eyes and then he is wobbing a little bit. So, we're going to see if he is above the legal limit. And if he is, then he'll unfortunately have to go to jail. for that. All right, man. So, this is pretty simple. Um, so all you do is you want to get a good seal on this, okay? It should be pretty quick. Just take a deep breath, okay? And then you're just going to blow, blow until I tell you to stop. Get a good seal with your lips on there and blow as hard as you can. Blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, blow, blow. Perfect. You're good. All right. So, bad news, my friend, is you're unfortunately you're going to have to go to jail for DUI. Okay. Um, you're 080 on my PBT, so you know the legal limit is 008, right? All right. So, I'm just place you in cuffs right now. >> I have a question, though. My dogs are at home. Is there anybody I can call to go make sure they go eat and stuff like that? >> Yeah, you have somebody that you can call. What do you need from the car? >> Money? Yeah. >> Huh? >> It's just my money. >> Just your money. Okay. You need your glasses at all? >> Yeah. >> Or is your money in the center? >> Okay. You don't have your ID on you. Just a passport. my passport. I lost my ID. >> I have ID in my uh cell phone. >> Okay. >> Lupita, >> I [ __ ] up. I got a DUI and uh the dogs are at home. >> What the [ __ ] >> Yeah, the cop has the phone right now. And um I just want to make sure the dogs are good. >> How do I How do I get to your house? Do you have a key? Spare key? I mean, the back door patt the the back door should be open and the back door patio might be open, but is there any way they can get the keys? >> We'll bring the keys with you with your property and if she needs to, she can come down to the jail and talk to them about you getting >> Can you b me out? I got I got the money. Can you just bum me out? She's tell me. Yeah. >> Okay. All right. So, he got a call for welfare check. This male was just passed out on the side of the road here. A passer by saw him. We showed up here and from talking to him as he started speaking to me, I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. So, had him step out. The car was running and everything like that still. So did the field so body tests on them. He failed those. Consented to a portable breath test in the field here, preliminary breath test and blew a point 180. Our legal limit in the out here is 08. So he's well over that over double. And um I think he has prior for DUI, but they might not be within the time frame for him to get charged with a second. So it's probably just going to be a misdemeanor for him. Um, we're waiting for another unit to come and sit here for the tow truck so we can take him down to jail, get him processed for the rest of the DUI, the breath test, and uh, get our paperwork done. So, we're going to finish getting his property in here and do a tow slip so the other unit can show up and get the toe done, and then we're going to go down to jail and book him in. So, we have >> uh so we're on the way to Jaliscoco. Somebody's calling in and stating that there's an intoxicated driver falling behind or falling asleep behind the wheel and that he's leaving. Now, all that we currently have is it's a gold Ford >> carb3. That vehicle is going to be westbound 78, Texas 28 tango papa tango 3624 >> 104. It's approaching 78 in snow just passed me. >> He's way up there. >> Call has been updated. 7:33 that'll be 1039. That vehicle parking lot of racetracked, >> you all right? >> No, I'm going to the red room. All >> right. Who? What you doing? Oh, Texas. >> I was just opening the door. >> Why are you opening the door? >> In Texas, they tell us. >> Ma'am, you're in Alabama. >> So, do you have your driver's license? Proof of insurance. And the second question I'm going to ask is how much have you had to drink? Because I can smell it from here. >> I just had one drink. >> From where? >> Now I'm leaving the washer. The washer head. >> The the what? >> The laundry man, >> man. It smells like you've had a lot more. >> No, sir. I had one. >> Okay. >> And I had it at the washer. >> They don't sell alcohol at the washer. >> So, where'd you get the alcohol from? >> Yep. >> Ma'am, if you'll open that. >> Yes, ma'am. I need your driver's license. Give it to >> Thank you. All your information is still correct on your license. >> Yes, sir. >> You still live in Houston? >> Yes, sir. I'm down here working. I work in Pale City. I'm staying in Oxford. I think this is Oxford. I stay I work in Pale City. I stay out for my room is like 2 ft away. I stay in Red R. >> Yes, ma'am. So, where did you get the alcohol from? >> Um and I >> the washeria. >> Yeah, it was slash You know that's my coworker. >> You you just stay off the phone for me just while we conduct this traffic stop. Okay. >> I'm just saying it's my coworker call. >> Yes, ma'am. You just answered the phone. So, can you hang up the phone for me? >> No. I didn't even answer it. Look, it's still ring. >> Okay. >> I didn't even answer. >> I stay right there in the red room. >> I understand. So, what did you have to drink? >> Uh, no. I just No, I just took one shot. I just left. >> So, you had So, you just left the liquor store. >> I just left. >> Which liquor store? >> Um, I don't know the name. >> Where's the rest of the alcohol at? >> No, I know. I got a shot. They call them airplanes. I call them shots. >> I threw it out the window. Um, it just >> So, you you're littering? >> Yes, I did litter. You taking any medication? >> No, I don't status. >> Go for So, ma'am, the reason I'm stopping you is you cannot change multiple lanes without establishing yourself in the lane. So, you were going >> return out of Houston, Texas local >> 104. So, you were traveling westbound on 78. You're in the left-h hand lane and then you slowly crossed across all the lanes to get into the far left hand four. >> I want to say when I can talk, I want to say something. >> Yes, ma'am. I'm just trying to explain to you the reason that we stopped you. Okay. And we've got multiple We got received a call about your driving and that you were possibly intoxicated cuz you were falling asleep behind the wheel. Then when I was behind you, you're bouncing in the lane. So did you have just one drink, one shot, or one airplane? >> I can tell you about that cuz I was talking [ __ ] on the phone. >> I was getting into my girlfriend on the phone. Okay. >> So yes, I was. And I told her, "Let me get off the phone." I You can look at the call off. I say, "Let me get off the phone with you." I said, "I don't want to get stopped for them thinking I'm drinking and driving. I'm talking [ __ ] to her on the phone. You can look at my call off if you want to." The point is I was talking [ __ ] to her on the phone. >> Okay. >> But the point is I'll stay right there. And yes, I did. I'm not going to lie. Yeah, I did. I took one shot and you can that store. I don't know the name of the store. I'm not from Alabama. But the point is, it was a store right there. I only brought But the thing is, yes, I'm sorry. Yes, I did literally. It was just one little shot. I took one shot and I threw it out the window. >> Is it one shot or one shot? >> No, the airplane shots. I don't know what y'all call them. The little airplane shot. >> You step out of the car. >> Is there reason you down? >> Yeah. >> Just put your hands up on the car for me. Do >> you have anything on you? If you don't reach, do >> you have anything on you? >> I don't have a gun. [ __ ] [ __ ] >> No. No. Pay me now. No, I don't have a [ __ ] My gun is in my hotel room. >> Okay. >> You mind if I go? >> And I got a gun. No, you can go anywhere you want. On me. My gun is in my hotel room. I don't have nothing on me. I don't have nothing on me. My gun is in my hotel room. I got 357. >> Well, good. I truly believe everybody should be armed. Um, this is this is where I'm a traveling woman by myself. >> I work in this ma'am. >> Ma'am, I'm agreeing with you. >> I work in Pale City. I don't I don't know the difference. I work in Pale City. >> So, what'd you have to drink? >> I had a airplane from the store. I had a airplane that we call them airplane. I don't know what y'all call them. Little bitty shots. I took a shot when I left cuz that's what I bought. Now it the little bit airplane. I took that shot. Yes, I did. Yes, I did litter cuz I did throw it out the window. >> That's all I did. >> But why are you drinking and driving? >> It's the point. Well, >> nope. >> No, >> I can't say nothing about that. You driving like >> I'm going to ask not not don't touch me. Okay. But so drinking and driving I know is illegal in the state of Texas. Same as in >> doing everything. >> Yes ma'am. And you still doing it. >> You know how many people you put in danger? >> No. I took one shot. >> Are you willing to do field sobriety? >> No, I just took one shot. I'm telling you. You seem you follow me from >> where? I don't know. >> Where did I get behind you at? >> Right at the smoke shop. I was at where I got got him one shot from. >> I thought you were at the Washington. What' you call it? >> No, no, no. I was there before. I said I when you stop I seen you when you put your lights. >> That was from where I was at the smoke shop. >> Ma'am, I didn't turn my lights on until you we were pulling into the parking lot. So, >> sir, you can do what you want to do. It don't matter. I always get [ __ ] by the police anyway. It don't matter what you do. Just let me know what you do so I can call my boss and let them come get my I always get I always get [ __ ] by the police. I'm I'm walking this from my hotel. You going to let me walk? I don't care. >> I always get [ __ ] by the police. >> Always get [ __ ] So whatever he It's up to the police discretion. I know it's in Texas. It's up to police discretion. Whatever you want to do, you can do it. I really don't care. My My red roof is right there. >> What room are you staying in? >> Red roof. >> What room at Red Roof? >> 115. >> There you go. >> 115. >> Okay. >> I've been there for a week. Today is day eight. >> So, how how much have you had to drink? Don't tell me one shooter because you just lying. And the more you lie to me, the more this is going to go south. So, so you don't mind me searching your vehicle. >> Okay. If you can step back there with her for me >> to the curb. The >> curb that goes around the parking lot. >> Keep going back. >> I'm not We're asking you to step back before we do it. I want I don't touch my um can you get my phone and call my boss over there before you search? >> No phone calls. >> So, we we ain't doing no search until my boss get here. >> That's fine. >> My boss right there. I'm the same. My phone's right there. >> No, ma'am. You don't. So, if you don't want me to search your vehicle, that's perfectly fine. >> No, not till my boss get here. >> And I'm not calling your boss here. So, you have to understand the indicators that I'm getting from you. You're you're refusing field sobriety test. Correct. You're refusing uh to let us search the vehicle. That's fine. That's up to you. All right. But you're leaving me really limited options on how I can help you because your slur speech leave my car and I can walk through my hotel. >> Your slurred speech, your inability to answer questions that are asked. >> I wasn't confused. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Texas told me once I get my driver's license. >> Welcome to Alabama. >> Thank you, sir. >> You're very welcome. One, please take my car. One, I'm glad my car works. >> You got him or her. >> I got We got somebody walking up. >> One, take my car. >> Can I help you? >> Yeah. I'm at um girlfriend. >> I understand. This is a traffic stop. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I'm um driving the car back to the hotel. >> For what? >> Is it if it's possible I can drive it? She can't drive it. >> I don't know. She's saying I want to know what she's going to say to me. >> Okay. Well, she's been already admitted to drinking alcohol and operating a vehicle on the roadways. Okay. Under the influence of alcohol. So, what's she saying? She's saying that she had only had one shot. But we got a call on her, her specifically, and the vehicle. And then I watched her driving and we initiated a traffic stop on her behavior alone. She can't find her driver's license, anything like that. So, does she have a history that you would know of of drinking and driving? >> No. >> I cannot say anything about it because I was in my room and >> All right. You can go back to your room and then we'll let you know. She can call you later. Okay. So, you still refusing fields? >> Yeah, I refusing everything. You're refusing everything. You grab her. >> Hey, why get my car? >> Oh, can you get my car? >> No, we have to search it now. >> Turn around. >> Are you serious? >> Turn around for me. >> Yes, I'm ma'am. Don't you don't drag. >> I'm telling you multiple times to turn around so you can put your hands behind your back. Don't fight with me. Don't. >> No, you don't. Don't drag. Don't drag me like that. >> Stop, ma'am. Do not resist. Where's >> my car? Stay right there. >> They can't STOP YOU. COME HERE. >> YES, we can. >> No, they can't. Come here. >> Yes, we can. >> I'm going to advise you to stay right there. >> Get my number. >> Do you understand? >> Get my phone number. >> No. Get my >> Stay right there. >> Get the number. >> No, not my number. Hell yeah. Sue the [ __ ] out you. >> 979. >> Ma'am, >> who the [ __ ] would y'all say now? Y'all got me in cup and get your hands off me. She got me in cuff. You get your hands off. >> Come on. 979. >> 1039. >> What's this? >> Ry [ __ ] out these. >> Hey, look. Get in the car. >> My windows up in the car. >> They don't search my [ __ ] >> Yeah. See, >> we'll tow it. >> Stupid ass. Alabama. Stupid ass up. >> Stupid ass. Hurry up. Take me to jail. Stupid ass. Hurry out. There you go. It's right behind the passenger seat. >> Yeah. >> Straight up. >> Cheers. >> Got rolling papers. Hi. >> That's a worker. That's his um roommate. Can he drive the car? No, >> ma'am. Cuz she was driving it. She's under the influence. Alcohol. Car goes with us. >> Okay. >> So, it's going to be towed by Wesley's. >> Wesley's? >> Yes, ma'am. I'm going to highly recommend that you don't open that door. >> Oh, not. Okay. I believe it's close to 6:00 and we're actually supposed to be off. Uh we stopped the individual because >> 729 code 11. >> Uh >> we received the call, but once I got behind the vehicle, her driving, she went from the left-hand lane across two lanes into the turning lane uh with failing to establish herself in that lane. And then when I was behind her, she continued to drift and bounce back and forth down the road. Once we I found a safe place to pull over, we initiated the traffic stop immediately. As soon as I got to the door, she attempted to open the door, stopped that. We don't We're not a fan of that in the state of Alabama. She said in Texas, that's how they teach you to do it. But here we do not. Um the aroma of alcoholic beverage immediately hit my face. I asked her how much she had to drink. She stated one shooter or airplane. But story just kept going in circles. She was fumbling for her license. Couldn't tell me that. Refused. Failed sobriety test. And so she was arrested for driving under the influence. She'll be transported to Dr. City jail and booked. Uh so Officer McFarland called for assistance. Uh the individual that we arrested uh became combative and very argumentative. So officers responded. We got in there, calmed her down. Uh she refused to give breathalyzer. Um but she became extremely agitated again and she was placed into our padded cell for her safety. Uh she'll stay at our facility for a minimum of 24 hours because she um refused all of her test and then she will be eligible to bond out and be on her way. I have to Oh, there's a wreck right here. Oh, he's going to hit him. He's going to hit him. He's going to hit him. Oh my god. Okay, bud. >> Not a problem. >> You just hang tight for me. Okay, man. >> Not a problem. So, he is uh slurring his words >> uh pretty good. He's saying he doesn't have any health issues. He >> has soiled his pants. Um it's not really acting how he should on top of the way that he was driving. >> Uh he was swerving a good bit. >> You just drop out the window, bud. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to put that back in your car cuz that's littering. Okay. No, keep that in your car cuz that's littering. Okay. >> Uh right now, we're going to wait on mail unit. Um run him through a field sobriety test, see if he's okay to drive. If he is, he'll be free to go. Uh if he's not, we'll try to get somebody up here to come pick him up or he might be going to jail depending on his level of intoxication. Miss Edward. >> Okay. But she hasn't drank anything at all. Right. >> Hey, ma'am. >> Can I talk to her? Would you mind? >> Absolutely. >> Hi, ma'am. This is Officer Shannon with Oxford Police. Uh, I currently have him stopped. We are, you know, where the racetrack in Oxford is. >> Uhhuh. >> Okay. He is currently stopped right now. Uh, I believe he is highly intoxicated. >> I am. >> Um, >> do you need me to come to um would not mind. How far would you be? >> Um, where are you? Cuz I'm I'm like right here. I'm his sister. >> We are on Friendship. Uh, do you know the treatment plant in Oxford? >> Uh, it's What is it? Treatment plant. >> Yes, ma'am. It's right behind the racetrack. If you know where the racetrack or the sunshine treatment plant is, right behind the racetrack. >> If you go down 21, just keep going down 21 and you turn left at Grey Street, you'll see the racetrack on your left. Just keep following that road and you'll run right into my blue lights. Okay. >> Two sober drivers. One to drive your vehicle, one to drive his vehicle. Uh that would be ideal to keep him from going to jail tonight on a DUI. >> I appreciate you so much. I appreciate you. Okay. >> I appreciate you, too. >> Okay. Would you uh would you be willing to perform a field sobriety test just to make sure that my uh assumptions are correct? >> No. >> No, you're not willing at all. >> No. Okay. >> I know I'm good, but I >> I don't I don't I don't I think we're on two different spectrums right now. >> Huh? So, I think we're on two totally different spectrums right now believing that you're good. >> I I really do. >> Can I smoke a cigarette? >> Are you allowed to smoke in a rental? >> Uh, >> probably not. >> I'm just asking you. >> I would say I I would say for the sake of your rental car, no, just cuz I don't want you to have to pay a cleaning fee. >> Okay, fair enough. >> Fair enough. >> You are you have a problem if I hold on to your phone in case your sister calls back and I answer it? Not at all. >> Okay. Not at all. All right, bud. >> I was going to run him through a field soriety and see if he wanted it, but >> it's up to you. He is refusing. He soiled himself. His dragon is everywhere and he's been slurring this whole time. >> He's intoxicated. >> Like heavily. He's heavily intoxicated. >> He drunk. >> Very. >> Oh, I remember you. I got my uh I got my hardship. >> Oh, you're the one I stopped for the uh tag. >> I got it. I thought I had to pay like 2,000, but it was only like 180 >> for the hardship. >> Oh, that ain't bad. >> I don't trust you. I'm gonna trust you. >> Look at how >> Oh, you want Do what you want me to run it just don't run it. Just Just look at how ugly this looks. >> Hey, it's a license, man. >> Can you come back here and talk? >> Hi. >> Oh, I mean, you can't. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah, cuz this is my other driver. I'm >> We're going to go We're going to go on that side of the car just that way. We get out a little bit. >> Sure. [groaning] Is she driving the car back? >> No. >> No. Who's driving this car back? >> My niece. >> No, that car. Your car. >> This one. I'm going to drive this one. >> She's going to She's going to drive this one, >> right? I'm going to drive. >> She's going to drive the >> She's going to drive my truck. >> Who's driving this one? >> So, whoever wants >> I'm going to drive this one. >> All right. So, you can you can go ahead and get in just so we can get him out the road. I don't want somebody come through. >> Okay. Thank you. >> You can just go right around the corner and wait if you want. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Um, one, he's very lucky that she pulled him over. Uh, mainly because if it was me, I wouldn't have given him a choice. I would have pulled him out. We would have done SSTs and he didn't want he would have to jail for a DUI. Okay. Uh, mainly because I have worked multiple accidents where people have one either lost lives or hurt somebody else severely. >> Absolutely. >> That we could have prevented, right, by making one single choice, right? >> Okay. Watch your foot and use the car if you need to, bud. >> I'm good. >> Just walk over to this side. Don't dig around in your pockets. Just walk over the pasture. >> You're good, big man. >> My wallet. >> All right. Just walk over to the passenger side. Have a seat in the passenger side for me. >> Have a seat, bud. >> One sec. >> Where's my wallet? >> Okay. Find your wallet when you get in the car. Just have a seat for me, bud. >> All right. Hear me out, B man. >> Pardon me. >> This is your one opportunity. Okay. I understand you're not from here. If I ever see you in the state of Alabama intoxicated, driving like this again, you will go to jail. Okay? You are extremely intoxicated and you are a hazard to everybody on the road. Lucky for you, your family was able to come and pick you up. Had they not, you would have been to jail tonight. Okay? That is not acceptable at all. I've had friends die from getting hit by drunk drivers. >> I take that very seriously. >> At the end of the day, I'm getting you off of the road. >> I'm hoping that you can use this as a learning lesson. >> It has been. >> It needs to be. It needs to be because I promise you if this ever happens again, I will I will I will personally put you in jail very quickly. Without question. >> Yes. Without question. >> I am a believer in second chances. I'm going to give you a second chance. But if you ruin that, >> if I see you later tonight driving or anything like that, I will take you to jail without hesitation. Are we on an agreement? >> Okay. I just want you to know this is not acceptable whatsoever. Okay? I just want you to know the severity of it. I'm being really nice right now by letting you go, but I want you to know how severe this is. >> I don't need somebody getting killed because you chose to make a bad decision. Okay? >> And that's it. Nothing else. >> All right, buddy. >> Watch your knee for me, Miguel. >> I just want to >> Yes, ma'am. Um, look, >> I appreciate you guys. >> He is extremely extremely intoxicated. Like very very intoxicated. Okay, >> I'm cutting him a massive break right now. Keep him at the house. Have him go to bed, sober up, whatever he's got to do. If he comes out on the street, if I see him in a vehicle, if I even see him walking on the street, I will arrest him without hesitation. >> I would understand that. >> Okay. This is his one chance. >> All right. I appreciate you guys coming to pick him up and you guys make sure that you guys are safe and make sure that he is safe. Okay. >> It didn't have to be this already gone. >> Honestly, he was had you guys not came to pick him up, he would have went to jail. >> Yeah, >> that's that's not even a question. Okay. >> Um but I appreciate you guys coming to get him. You guys are good to go and you guys be safe. Okay. >> Thank you. >> Thank you guys so much. Bless. >> Thank you. [music] Heat. Heat. [music]
