On June 28th, 2026, officers were dispatched to a beach for a man who was allegedly armed with a knife and had reportedly brandished it toward another individual. >> Come on. And then when he stepped to have their altercation, which I was standing by the water with the baby, they were more on the street area. There was a shove and a and a and a slap. And then I uh that's when I started to look, you know? Cuz you can hear you didn't hear the shove, but you heard the slap. So, when I looked, I guess he was already slapped cuz I didn't see the slap, I just heard it. And then they were um just like right there. The other guy goes to walk away cuz they're in between this little area right here. And he goes to walk away, and then boom, they uh he he goes to walk away, and then boom, he takes that thing out. He's going to go around this little thing to like walk up on the gentleman with the knife. And when I called out knife, he like put it back in and then held it. I said, "I see that knife right there. There's a knife." And that's when the whole that whole little area scattered because we were like, "Knife." And then um he hid it in that book bag. That's when I knew where he was going cuz then I was following him. I was like, "Oh." And then it got me more scared cuz he was going to my car. And I'm like, "Now, why are you walking towards my car when I'm going to my car?" Cuz I was going to my car to get my my my wallet so we could get some water or something, you know? And then um that's when I was like, "Don't walk towards where I'm going." He was like, "I'm getting my phone." And I was like, "Oh, okay. Well, you can get your phone. Just don't touch my Jeep." I said, "Don't touch that Jeep." Yeah. I said, "Don't [ __ ] touch my Jeep." Officers initially considered aggravated assault charges for brandishing the knife, but the victim left the scene and could not be identified, so those charges could not be pursued. A substance found in his bag was also tested, but turned out not to be illegal drugs, so no possession charge was filed. The case is still pending.
