They came in loud, demanding, and completely convinced the rules didn't apply to them. Here are five cases when cops have to deal with super entitled Karens. Number five, baggage fee rage ends in airport assault. Officers are called to the Frontier Airlines counter at Orlando International Airport after a woman throws a water bottle at an airline employee. Here's what happens next. >> Why the other party involved? >> Um, she's in the back. Is she going to bite me if I try to pick her? >> What's What's going on? What happened? >> She was talking too much. So, I told her if she kept bothering me, I'm going to throw a water bottle at her head. And I threw a water bottle at her hand. >> Okay. So, you do know that will be considered battery, correct? >> Okay. >> All right. Mine is a wobbie. >> There you go. Give me one second. Hey, we might actually need you. It's over here. >> So, she just admit that she even threw she throw a bottle. So, what you want to do? >> I am pressing charges and she's not fine with I need her information. >> Okay. >> She stood right there. I was on the computer in front over there and she literally launched that plat after me. >> All right. As I said, if you want press, we just need some statements and I said we go slam down. They ain't a want a job or nothing. Just press charges and go from there. >> Yeah. >> You need a breather. >> All right. Say hi. >> You can tell whoever to call you back. Okay. >> Unfortunately, what you did is actually considered batteries are unwanted touch and she wanted to press charges. So, you will be going to jail for this right now. Who's your >> I don't know. Look in the front. >> Yep. I've got >> Can I have a Never. >> She tries to argue that she's the victim, saying the staff mistreated her, but the police explained that it's actually her behavior that turned this into a criminal matter. >> 25 background. >> Okay. So, if I was being tormented, why am I going to jail? >> Because what you did, which was throwing a bottle of water, tormented the whole time I was here. So, why am I jail? If I was being tormented the whole time I was here, tormented. >> It's on camera. Yeah. >> Okay. But what do you mean by tormented? >> Like harassed. I was being harassed a couple times. I was like mentally. >> Okay. But then did anybody touch you? >> Okay. Still it's it's the same. >> Okay. But then No, it's not. So when you're touching someone, it's different. >> You just threw a bottle. >> I threw a bottle. >> So what do you think that is? >> She harassed me. >> But did she did she touch you though? >> Difference. >> What do you mean was the difference? I mean, if you can't tell the difference, then I don't know what to tell you. >> Exactly. All all of this that you're going to >> I'm going to go grab a stick >> right now. All you could have do is you could do all of this through Frontier website. You could have your grievance. >> What do you expect me to do? >> Go right on the website. >> That's what you wanted, right? >> I'm sorry. >> You wanted a response. >> I I I I'm lost. I'm sorry. I'm lost. She's saying she wanted a response, but then you're the one that's getting it now. So >> that's why I'm saying this, >> you just you're just causing more trouble to yourself cuz I don't get harassed. >> You don't get it, but you'll get it. You don't get it. >> All right. You got to realize your behavior is unacceptable. >> Okay. You harassing me is unacceptable. >> While that conversation is going on, officers work with staff to get her flight info and piece together what really happened. Uh, you get her flight information and lathing from her. >> It's a um stuff. I need to get her flight information and all that. >> My whole flight information. So she come up. I trying to figure out what happened. So she come up. Explain to me exactly what happened. >> So she came. >> Excuse me. >> When she first came, >> she came to the one right there with a pink one. >> Okay. >> Right here. Ask about the price of the buck. She gave her the peach bod. She walk up and she just come. She like talking. She said good morning. and she said, "Yeah, whatever." I just asked >> um about her bags. So, she came to me over there and she asked me how much is it. I told her $292. She walked back over there, grabbed the bags, came back over here, and she said, "For these three check bags, how much is it?" I said, "Ma'am, I told you $292." >> $292. >> I was on the phone and she was like, "Oh, can you tell them how much?" I'm like, "I'm not repeating myself to you. This is literally like the third time I'm going to repeat the same thing to you. She said, "Oh, that's your job." No, it's not. You can go online and check the prices for the bags yourself. Like, that's not my job. Oh, you're behind the counter. Okay. She grabbed herself. She walked right over there. Couple minutes later, I hear when she fling the the box on top of the scale. I look up. I ain't said nothing. She's still on the phone. The agent signed up here. She had a phone talking. I signed up over there. The agent was like, "You hear what she just said?" I said, "No." She's like, "Oh, she said she opened this bottle at you." I looked up here. All I know I touch my head. I come next about >> on top of facing charges. Frontier also decides to ban her by adding her to their no-fly list because of how she acted. >> And you were standing right there. Where the green bottle actually? >> Mhm. >> And your shirt is >> Yeah. >> wet still from the bottle. >> Okay. >> I need to get her um her flight information. >> And then you said that she's going to be definitely fly. >> Show me 185. >> All right. Let me know when you get Oh, you already get you guys. >> Thank you. Should I get her information? They don't want her on a no flight list and that's it. So, I don't know. >> She don't want to press charges. >> Yeah. No, she do. She's She do. She's she's done. >> Cuz I need your information. >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> Um, >> thank you. I appreciate you. >> So, as for right now, if you will be um on arrest for um battery cuz she want to press charges. You're gonna be on a no-fly list, so you cannot fly with Frontier. And then you're going to be trespassed off of this airport, so you cannot fly within any goal of public. >> But you guys were tormenting me the whole entire time. >> I'm sorry. >> You guys were tormenting to me the whole entire time and expected me not to do anything. >> Who is you guys? >> The whole time I was here this >> She keeps protesting, insisting that she's the real victim and that the staff had been harassing her the whole time. From the time I arrived at 700 p.m. yesterday, and if you have camera footage, then go look at it. You already know. So from 7:00 p.m. yesterday, I was harassed all the way till now. You know how many hours that is? >> Yeah, but your behavior don't warrant for that still. Regardless of >> you don't harass nobody. That's the same. That's the then I want to press charges. It's fair. >> And and you you you can >> cuz that's not fair. I Where's the supervisor? >> Absolutely you can. >> Where's the supervisor? >> Sure. Oh, >> sorry. She wanted a supervisor >> as as I said. >> Let me go. Sorry. She I guess was upset about baggage flee um baggage fees. She hit the water on her. She still have um her shirt wet and she said that we're harassing her now and she wanted to speak to a supervisor. um action is not warrant and she will be trespassed from the airport and she no longer flying out front. >> So now she wanted to charge too. >> Yeah, she wanted to put >> so sending at 6 a.m. to take over >> there three in the counter. >> Good morning. How can I help you? >> So I've been harassed for the past seven hours and then >> by whom? I keep being arrested for the past seven hours. >> You mean what? >> Staff. Harassed by >> Harassed by the staff. Okay. >> Yeah. So, I needed help. I ignored it. I needed help with my checking bags. And I asked her for help. She couldn't get it smart. >> Who's she? >> The PE the woman. >> Oh, the lady in the counter. >> And only thing I was asking her was for help. And I told her, "It's your job for customer service." And she kept getting smart and angry on kept saying stuff. So, I told her, "I'm like, please leave me alone." And then I threw a water bottle at her, but I didn't hear her. It It just hit her. We started going back and forth, but she she the officers stay calm, but let her know that the other party is pressing charges and the process has to move forward. >> I get that. I get that. And I understand how you >> First of all, you're being detained right now pending investigation. As of right now, you just detained pending an investigation. Okay. >> They harassed me and I have a fight to get on that. >> I understand that. But Frontier, this has to do with them, right? Like they're rude or like you believe that they they will be harassed. No, no. I'm not saying that they were not. I'm saying that your avenue for that is from here, right? Like it's kind of like any business, right? If you go to a restaurant or business and they're rude, we only get involved when it becomes physical. What you can do is you can always, you know, complain to customer service to Frontier, but we don't we have nothing to do with Frontier, unfortunately. You know what I mean? We're only here pending our investigation. >> We don't. >> We don't know that yet. As of right now, you detain pending investigations. >> Once we conclude the investigation, then we'll let you know exactly what's going to happen. >> But my flight's at 6. Why can't they just let me? >> I apologize to her, but she know >> because But you understand that >> when somebody gets you aggravated, you can't act. >> Okay. But imagine being harassed for hours. >> I get that. But what you in what you do in life, you back off. >> I did. I didn't do nothing the whole entire time. >> You just told me you threw a water bottle at her >> for 7 hours to 6:00 in the morning. Someone harassing you, you can't do nothing. >> No, you cannot get physical in life. No, you cannot. No, cuz you wouldn't like that to happen to you. >> Somebody touch you when you don't. >> If y'all not harassed for 7 hours, >> y'all not going to sit there and stand there. >> You're right. We will not stand there. We will just walk away. You can get somebody else and help us >> or you could have probably called us. >> Yeah. >> As the arrest continues, she begs not to be taken to jail, says she wants to apologize and pleads for a second chance. >> Okay. >> You needed more resources. We got more resources for you. >> If you were harassed, you could have called me. How the hell I call you? >> You have a cell phone. You could have called 911. >> Can I just please I do not want to go to jail. Like I want to start crying. Please don't take me to jail. Un unfortunately we have passed that unfortunately. >> So can I talk to her or something and apologize? >> Can you ask her so I can start playing? I want to go. I do I can't go back to jail. I got a heart problem. >> That's why I was doing what I could. >> I understand that but the the moment that you you you touch somebody when they don't want to >> I didn't touch her. >> You can't take it back. You can't take sometimes you can't take your actions back. >> Okay. your fear down from now until we figure it out. >> Okay. >> You might. Yes. >> There are consequences to every action. You should knock on the bottle. >> Next time call somebody else. >> Okay. But I don't want to get killed. I really don't want to. >> I understand that. She doesn't want to get hit either. But you did. >> I just don't know now if they if they're taking the the luggages. >> No, they're not. >> They're not anymore. Right. Not even from us anymore. >> Yes, they are. >> Not even the um purse. >> What? >> Not even like a purse. >> Well, as long as it fits in the white clear bag. Well, this >> going to take like a little fatty back and they say >> no. And not even this. >> What? That's ridiculous. >> Stand up. >> We'll help. >> Sorry. >> Can I count to three? One. Wait. Two. Two. The car. >> The car is right there. >> I'm going to reach over. Are you okay? >> Got it. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> In the end, her decision to act out turns a customer service dispute into a criminal case. She's arrested and charged with battery. Number four, hotel staff called her bluff and she got busted. Police respond to a call from the Harmon Suites Hotel about a guest causing problems with staff. Hotel management says the woman had been smoking in a non-smoking room and more seriously threatened to buy a gun and shoot employees. Officers arrived to find the woman still on site, arguing that she didn't mean what she said and claiming she was just frustrated. So, >> I did not mean it. >> It doesn't matter if you mean it or not. You made the comment. >> So, I need you to go. I'm going to allow you to go put clothes on in my presence and then we have to go and process you. >> Yeah. >> No, >> I didn't mean it. It was yours. >> You made it though, >> ma'am. I'm sorry. You can't. You can't. I can't. You got to come with us. >> Why? >> You made a comment. I'm >> going to buy a gun. >> That doesn't change anything, man. You still made the comment. >> So, I'm going to allow you to go put If you want to go put clothes on, I'm going to come with you to put the clothes on and then we're going to go down to headquarters. We have to process you on the complaints for terroristic threats. >> Terroristic? >> Terroristic threats. >> What? I didn't say they were non Americans. >> I didn't. >> Despite her denial, officers explained that the threat she made qualifies as a terroristic threat, regardless of intent. >> Ma'am, I'm sorry. >> I have never shot. No, I have never shot. I don't own a gun. >> And we know you don't. And you literally just said you're going to obtain to do that. So now we're going to go this route. >> Try to help you out earlier. You tried me in the middle. >> You tried to do things and now this is where >> slow this me saying something. >> I'm not going to put you in jail. I'm going to process you on a complaint. So most likely you'll be placed on a summon and you'll get released. When you get released you're going to come back here, collect all your belongings with the moving company and you're going to have to vacate the property. >> No, I'm not. >> Well, then you'll be rearrested. For what? >> I've known you for years. >> Come on. >> And where are they going? >> You're going to be gone for 2 three hours tops. >> Are they being touched? No. >> No. Okay. Hey, I was not going to shoot. I'll get you back. >> Huh? >> The officers remain calm and explained she'll be taken in to be processed, but not jailed. At this point, she's given a chance to change clothes under supervision before being transported. Oh, I didn't want to grab the phone. >> I have my card. >> It's on my camera. >> That is right there. >> Oh my god. >> You are going to get handcuffed. >> What? >> Oh, come on. >> Come on. >> Don't come on then. information. >> I know you stay around. >> I'm not going to do anything. >> Hand yourself to officer Gonzalez here >> and face me. >> You want >> I think there's only one in there or two. >> There's only one in here. The lighter gets thrown out of headquarters. So >> you're thrilled about this. You threatened me earlier. >> No, I didn't walk out before. >> That's all the lighter. But >> so how do I if I have no hands? >> Okay, then we won't take them. >> I asked you a question. Let go of your hands. >> Some people able without hands. >> Can you wait an hour? >> No. >> My god. >> You ready? >> We can do one more. >> Yeah. You walk up. >> Before leaving, officers inform her that smoking isn't allowed due to policy and health concerns, which only makes her more upset. >> You can leave the here, >> huh? >> I don't need them. >> Please. No. I asked her. You said was fine. >> And you said you can't without uh >> so it'll go in my mouth. Okay. >> Can I press the button? >> Oh my god. Could [Music] you please get >> No. >> Why? >> Because we're not going to be around secondhand. >> You already said one. Come. >> You said you couldn't without your hand. Dale, you have the right to remain silent and refuse any questions. Anything you may say, anything you may >> get me an attorney. >> You have the right to consult an attorney at any time and have him or her present before and during questioning. >> An attorney will be priority if you so desire prior to any questioning. A decision to speak with us is not final. You may stop at any time. Do you understand your rights? >> Get me a new attorney. [Applause] [Applause] At the same time, police stay in contact with hotel staff to sort out what to do with her room and belongings? >> Hello. Just so you know, my camera's activated. It's recording everything. So, she's under arrest. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. Um I know you guys want her evicted, right, from the room? >> Yes. >> Yeah. So, we're going to be between 1 to two hours probably. >> Okay. >> So, um I don't know what you guys normally do when somebody's not in a room. Maybe you guys start cleaning it out. I don't know >> anything [Music] >> because obviously you can see she's elderly. She's got a lot of stuff in her room. So >> yeah, >> right. So I don't know how this process is going to work. >> So >> yeah, we don't I don't think we're allowed to touch my stuff. after meeting up to our management. >> Yeah, >> maybe you want to get in touch with them to see how you're going to handle everything. [Music] >> I didn't go. >> Okay. Hello. [Applause] The hotel confirms she's is being evicted and will not be allowed to return to the property. Staff agree to hold off on removing her items and will store them instead. >> Hello. >> Yes. >> So, she's under arrest. >> Okay. >> Um for something that she had said. So, she's going to be a couple hours. >> Okay. >> I was just explaining to the front desk clerk that uh I don't know how you guys are going to handle it, but she's got a lot of stuff in there. She obviously she's elderly. So I don't know how you guys evict people and like their belongings. >> Okay. If she has like checked out today, so as per my policy, we have to like uh keep the stuff like 300 p.m. After that, we take out the all the stuff and we keep that stuff in my storage room. >> Can we do that? >> Whatever you guys do. I mean that that's up to you. >> Of course. Not now. No more stay in a property. So, she's going to like after she's arrested, we're going to bring her back here. >> What time? >> I don't know. It's usually about a couple hours. >> Couple of the hours. Okay. >> So, um but that's why I'm saying like you you guys are evicting her from the room. >> Yes. >> So, whatever you have to do, I mean, if you normally >> Yes, we are just waiting for 3 p.m. >> as of now 2 p.m., right? >> Yeah. >> So, 3 p.m. we are just sent to after 3 p.m. we send the one people or two people to bring it all the stuff to the down and we have a broom. We can take all the stuff in the bathroom. Whenever she will be back, we can explain to her if you want. You can just take your stuff. That's it. >> Okay. What about her dogs? >> Their dogs are still inside. >> Yeah. >> So, >> so nobody's go inside the room. >> I don't know. Whatever you however you normally handle it, like I said. So, >> but the pet is inside. So, nobody's going inside the room. The dogs aren't like uh vicious like they're not going to bite anybody. >> Um >> No, but how can we uh handle the dog here in the lobby? >> Maybe just leave it in the room for now. Take the boxes out and then just leave the dogs in a room with the, you know, got to leave them water and food, whatever they require, but that's it. >> Officers make it clear that she can come back with a moving company to collect her things, but she must leave the premises right after. >> Okay. All right. But at least you can get like the boxes moving cuz there's a lot in there. >> Ah, yeah. It's a lot of the boxes. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Let me check. >> And again, like once we tell her to leave, she's got to leave. If she doesn't leave, then she's going to be rearrested. >> Um, from what you're saying that you don't want her on property anymore. >> Yeah. No more. >> Right. So, um, but as far as her coming back and getting her stuff, that's more a civil that matter. Like, we don't really get involved with that. That's, you know, between you and her. So, as long as she's getting her stuff and then getting off the property. >> Yes. Getting on the property, >> right? So, >> she can just take the her dog from the room, >> right? >> Okay. Now, it depends on when she will be back. Depends on that time also. >> Yeah. I mean, usually it'll be probably like two hours at almost the most. >> Okay. So, after the 2 hours. So, as of now, two. So, almost like uh before 5:00 p.m. she will be back, right? >> Probably more like by four. >> By four, right? >> Yeah. >> Well, that's good. So, we can move it as Yes. Okay. So, let me just move it. Okay. >> Yeah. It usually takes about between 1 to 3 hours. >> Okay. >> 1 hour short, 3 hours long. >> Okay. So, I'm just My concern is I'm I'm available here, so I can handle it. >> Okay. >> Okay. In the end, the woman is arrested for making terroristic threats and issued a complaint summon. She's released from custody the same day, but no longer has a place to stay at the hotel. Number three, she hid her boyfriend and thought she could get away with it. Police respond to a domestic battery call involving a couple they've had previous contact with. Here's what happens next. >> Hello. What's your first name? >> Jamie. >> Jamie. All right. Jamie, why don't we go inside the house with you? You don't have a coat. You don't have any? >> No. >> Okay. All right. >> Polar hair. Look at you. >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. So, what happened? Where are we here again now? At 9:00 a.m. >> He put hands on me again. I called the cops. You guys are here. Okay. >> When you say he put when he said when you're saying that he put hands on you again, can you describe what how he put his hands on you? >> He was trying to take my phone away from me when I was trying to call 911, which I'm pretty sure is a felony offense. >> Okay. >> And then he was also trying to shove me into a room to contain me. >> Okay. >> Without any contact to the outside world. >> Okay. Are you injured in any way? Do you need me to call an ambulance for you? >> This is why I'm huddling behind a tire. >> Because no, I am not injured because of the tire. >> And no one will believe me unless I stayed inside and obtained injuries. >> How'd your hand get all beat up? >> Yeah. Your >> your right hand? >> This one? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Do you not see the scratches on your hand? >> How did that happen? >> How did that happen? >> Like one thing. >> It's called being a person. Excuse me. >> It's called being a person. Crafting. >> Oh, crafting. >> Those are Looks like it's fresh woodworking. >> Yeah, we were woodworking this morning. >> Officers observe visible injuries on her hand and arm and ask how she sustained them. >> Um, well, today is a different day. Those look like you have scratches. So, sorry. I'm not trying to be combative at all. >> You're not making any sense. Those look like it looks like fresh blood. Fresh wounds from this morning. >> So we were just we were inquiring as to how you got them. >> No, today is not Sunday. Today not Sunday. My bad. Monday. So Sunday morning I was working on a vanity for my daughter. Okay. >> Okay. And that's how you got those marks? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I was working on it throughout the night and everything. I was minding my own >> I see a little I see a little reddish over here on your arm over here. How did you get that? >> Eczema. I mean, do you want me to scratch my other room? I have eczema. Do you see? >> There's a big bruise on the back here. >> Okay. Are you injured from where you're sitting? >> Oh, that's from him. That's from him shoving me into the door. >> Okay. >> I probably have a same bruise right here, but I'm not going to >> Well, can Well, I'd rather have you not do that out here. Can we go inside and take a look at that? >> No. >> Okay. Are you Would you allow us to take any pictures? Okay. Would you allow us to take any pictures? No. Okay. >> All right. I'm going to talk to him. You want to know what you can? >> I've already been arrested. Full >> bend over, spread your cheeks type of nothing came like forward from it. So, you know what? If that's what's what's going to come from it, please leave the property. >> Thank you. >> Do not touch me. Do not put your hands on me. I am not under arrest. Do not put your hands on me. You have no reason to enter the property. Do not put your hands on me. >> You're calling the police for help and why you >> do not put your hands on me. >> Because she grabs me. >> I grab cuz I didn't want you. >> Let go of the door. Back away off the property. >> Even after multiple attempts, she refuses to let them inside to document the injuries or take photographs. When they try to speak with her boyfriend, she physically blocks the doorway and reacts like this. >> We need to talk to him. >> Video. >> What's his name? >> I'm fine. We all have video on all three of us. >> Officer Porzesi, Officer Pinto, and Officer Shabog. I am asking you to all step off of my residency. >> We're not leaving >> legally. Did you ask him to call inside or try to reach this guy? There is no call for inside this residency. Please step back. >> Please step back. >> Hurt yourself. >> How could I hurt yourself? >> Yeah, you keep hitting the door. Why are you hitting smack in the door if you live here? >> See what I can do. >> Well, I'm sort of you called us that you're hurt and injured and you're hiding behind your car. >> Leave the premises. >> They're threatening to hurt me. >> Nobody's threatened to hurt you. >> I didn't want you to walk inside and get out of here. >> Do not >> stay there. >> Do not touch me. You are >> You are physically abusing me. >> I'm not abusing you. I'm trying to touch me. >> Touch me. Do not physically come near me or abuse me. >> Do not come near me or physically abuse me. >> There's another J5 and the three in the house. >> Baby, >> let me ask you this. Uh she gets physical with you. the last officers. >> David, >> I'm >> At this point, officers begin to suspect that she may be the primary aggressor. They also detect the smell of alcohol and ask if she requires medical attention. >> Do you normally drink this much? >> I don't drink at all. >> I can You already told my other officer you did, and I can smell it from here. >> I did not say anything. >> Yes, you did. You said you drank. >> Okay. That That was at 3:00 a.m. What time is it now, ma'am? >> I can smell you. >> What time is it now? Tell me. You have your phone, >> ma'am. >> You have your phone. You can tell me. >> What time is it? >> I can smell the alcohol from here. That's what I'm asking you. Do you need to be seen by an ambulance? >> That is hearsay. >> No, ma'am. It's not hearsay. >> Do you need to be seen by an ambulance? >> Do you need to be seen be seen by an ambulance? >> No. >> Okay. >> Please back away from me. >> I feel threatened. >> How could you feel threatened? My hands are in my pockets. >> Because you are too close to me and I'm asking you to back away and you are not correct. That for you are threatening me by not >> accepting my request. >> Do not put hands on me or touch me or I will sue you. >> Stay back. >> Am I being detained? >> Stay back. >> Am I being detained? >> I'm separating you from the situation. Stay Stay back. >> Am I being detained? >> Stay back from him. >> I don't have any right. >> You're being detained. Yes, you're being detained for what? >> Our investigation. You called in and claimed there was a domestic battery. We're here for our investigation. >> I called. >> You're right. You did call. >> There's no right to detain me. >> Yes, we're doing it for our investigation and I'm keeping you separate from him. I don't get in another altercation. >> Let's give her a chance to cooperate before we go heads up. >> I am not cooperating. I want all of you off the property. And I'm telling her that no, baby. Put your hand behind your back. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> I didn't do anything. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> He hit me. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I didn't do anything. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I called for protection.
