Trying to get my life back together, man. I'm going to grab the money. He's returning that bike though. The uh the thing that he actually bought. I'm going to bring the money out. He ended up with a charge of petty theft under $100. Number three, when steak night turns into jail time. In a grocery store parking lot, police confront an elderly woman accused of stealing stakes. Here's what happens next. Uh, correction to Wendy's, 26 Leburg. I have a white female detained. Stand right in front of my car. Yes, sir. Stand right there. Yes, sir. [Music] Where you coming from? Yes, sir. Face the car. Yes, sir. Brown bag. You see me drop it. 25 40 to 25. We got a large brown bag with 23 25. Five large T-bone steaks or New York strips and a large thing of BC powders and a large brown women's purse. Turn around like like what kind of a pipe. Is it glass? Yeah. Okay. Go ahead. I'm 48 out of public medicine also from there. There was the stakes and all that. I think that's all I see is the Well, would you look at that? Turns out the bag she dropped was hiding five fulls size steaks. Duh. Okay. My head hurts really bad. I have a large bruise on my head. Why are you going around about roundabout wrong way? Bruise on your head. People aren't finished. Come right here with me, bro. Oh, I wouldn't. Yeah, cuz get her I mean you can if you want to get her out of the you want to set her down in the shade. Yeah. Are you okay to sit down right here? Yeah. Are you okay to sit down right down the sidewalk for me? Yes, sir. Get you out of the sun. You can just sit right here. Thank you. You're welcome. Is there any way you can help me get a hold of my son um captain through the park was I I need to see myself. Well, if the last thing we want to do is contact him if he is your son and you don't want to my son every don't want to embar embarrass him then. Hey, are you right-handed or left-handed? Right-handed. She's right-handed. Any tattoos? I have what? On my my right arm, right? A rose on your shoulder? Yes. Left shoulder? Any any scars or marks or anything? No, no scars or marks. Um, she did say she got on her bra strap. Okay. But can't say there. Okay. So, I was trying to see if taxation was in yet. That's why I put her in my vehicle cuz I don't know what else. Okay. What do you have on you? Um, I believe my bra. Is that what's sticking out on the top up there? Lighter or pipe? Yes, sir. That's what it looks like. Okay. All right. Do you have any other thing? Anything else besides the pipe? No, sir. You have no on you? No, sir. Okay. Do me a favor. Stand up for me. During the pat down, she casually admits there's paraphernalia in her bra, but swears she's not carrying anything illegal. Okay. Yep. There we go. Go right here to the front of my car. Yes, sir. All right. I'm going to switch out these cuffs cuz they're getting ready to leave. Lean forward for me just a little bit. There you go. So turned off a citizen. Yeah. I catch her walking into the parking lot. I pull in. She is walking there. Walks back to try to conceal behind there. Drops the bag and then starts walking off. Okay. Where's the bag? Got it. Okay. Gotcha. We're going to step over here to the back of my car. All right, face car. I'm just going to patch you down for weapons right now. All right. Yes, sir. I'm not going in your bra. I'm not going to get that stuff. That's okay. We're going to have a female grab that for me. All right. Go ahead, sir. 10 for B51 shortly. 16. Breaking sure. 10:15. Go ahead. Have a seat. It's sliding for me. There you go. She comes off as frail and even asks officers to help her get in touch with her son, but the officers aren't taking any chances. Meanwhile, the store employee later provides a full statement about what went down. All right. Hello. How you doing? Good. There's the bag right there. Yeah. You got your food and all. Awesome. Thank you. I know you guys aren't going to do anything with it, but Yeah. Unfortunately, we'll have to trash it, but I appreciate you bringing it back. Sir, thank you. Um, can you just give me a very like a brief rundown of what happened? So, she my meat manager saw her with all these steaks. Okay. She walked down an aisle and when she came to the end of the aisle, there weren't any states. So, I walked down that aisle. So, she was carrying the steak. They were in a cart visible. So, she showed me who she was and I walked over here to the wine section. I saw her in the wine section. I said, "Hey, is there anything I can help you with?" Then she was asking me about a wine. So I showed her the wine. And as she turned to walk away from me after this conversation, I could see like in the open zipper edge of her bag, I could see the meat tray in there. So she's got these steaks. So she walks up towards the registers. And as she gets up towards the registers, I say, "Hey, I'm going to need you to let me know where you set those steaks down cuz I don't want them to go bad. I got to put them back in the thing." She's like, "I don't know what you're talking about it." And she was pushing a shopping cart. And at that time, she turned down an empty register with the cart, let go of the cart, started walking towards the door. So I followed her to the door. I said, "Hey, I'm going to need those steaks back that are in your bag." And she said again, "I don't know what you're talking about." And then as she was going out the door, she like shoved me out of her way and left, walked out into the parking lot. Um, and you obviously identified yourself as a store employee. Yeah. Yeah. I have a name tag as a store employee, you know? Okay. So, um, and as far as her pushing you, you just want Do you want to do anything with the battery of it? No, I don't do anything with the battery. Okay. Um, are you able to give video now? Yeah, I called and got it approved. I just got to It's going to take me a couple minutes to like find it. Okay. But yeah, absolutely. I don't know how she planned on cooking all of it. She's charged with shoplifting and potentially battery for pushing the store employee. Number two, Walmart employees stop shoplifting grandma. Officers are called to a Walmart where a senior woman is accused of shoplifting. According to store staff, she took off her own watch and replaced it with a new one from the jewelry section, then tried to leave with baby care products hidden in her belongings. When police make contact, she immediately breaks down and admits to the theft. Have a great day, sir. Thank you. Okay. I told you to stay. Didn't I tell you to stay? Okay. Thank you. What you got? Watch again. They just taking watches today. So, she took her watch off, put it on, and then she stole some baby stuff. He's doing a train right now. Right now the total voice right now took was like 824. And why you doing all that? Because of the prices and everything. This is my very first time and I know it's wrong and I'm embarrassed and I'm so sorry. I just I just I just thought, well, maybe I can. And it was just a very bad decision. So, okay. And will never happen again. I assure you. Oh, actually, hold on. Let me get a photo of it. Well, that's old watch. I know. I got to get a photo of baby when I go to court. Well, uh, I have to You want to try to see if the sheriff's office will transport and you going to take the warrant? Yeah. I don't understand. If the sheriff's office won't do it, I'll just a CT and she can turn herself in. Though she's ashamed and repeatedly apologizes, the officers have to move forward with the case since Walmart wants to press charges. I have to go to jail. He's about to He's about to check. Oh my god. 42 later. [Applause] Can you see if available for transport? Not for me, but for Walmart. [Music] So Walmart. So you didn't? Believe it or not, they've been doing it lately. [Music] 11. 11. You can put 10 back in service. I'm go for it. Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I'm just remember Patricia. P A H T R I C I A. B U N B U I'm confused. She took a watch. She took She took a watch out of our box and and put it that one that her and she took her old watch and put it and put it back on the shelf and then she concealed baby stuff. Uh some don't have the money to pay for it. I do. 4211. There 104. The sheriff's office is busy. Shocking. The woman is not taken into custody immediately only because the sheriff's office isn't available for transport. Instead, officers issue a criminal trespass notice. You're lucky you're lucky. Not really, but you know sheriff transfer to jail. So citation we don't do citation for shop. I figured you're going to do a warrant. I mean that's what I got to do cuz we prosecuting. So she's going to take a warrant for you. Listen to me. She's going to take a warrant for you. I'm going to issue you a criminal trespass that says you're not allowed to come back to this Walmart ever. You'll be arrested on site. Okay. Okay. Okay. And uh can I go to any Walmart? Not this one. Not this one. Once she issues that warrant, you're going to have to go turn yourself into the jail today. Uh whenever she does the warrant. I'm doing it today. So I have 4 hours. Okay. Is it the county jail? What jail am I going to? So it's 4 hours if she goes to jail. They'll release her over there 4 hours, but she's not going. So you can just do it as soon as possible. Does that make sense? Yeah. So if it four It's not 4 hours is only if she has already gone with y'all. Yeah. Cuz that's how long they'll hold her before they release her without a warrant. Yeah. 4 hours today. No, no, no. He's saying if I had to if you were already in the police car and I had to issue a warrant, I have four hours to go down there and get a warrant. If I don't do it in 4 hours, they release you. But because he's not taking you, I got to go down there and do my warrant myself. So, I'm saying I'm doing a warrant today. So, you'll have to just call and see, hey, is there a warrant for me for shopping with Walmart? If they say yes, then you turn yourself in or Monday or whatever whatever day. And if you don't, then you'll get it'll catch up with you eventually. Is Siri Drive still a good address for you? Yes, ma'am. Oh, sir. Um, what's a phone number for you? The officers encourage her to turn herself in as soon as possible once the warrant is active, explaining that it's better to go voluntarily than risk being arrested unexpectedly later. Uh, are you done with this? Yeah. So, I'm going to do a report for the uh to the criminal trespass. Okay. She gets that. So, can I call you or how am I going to know? I have to call the jail to see when my warrant You need to call the sheriff's office and ask ask if you Sheriff's Office of Pal. Yes. Okay. and then call them and and ask them to run your name and date of birth and then they'll tell you whether you have a warrant or not. And then you can go turn yourself in at the sheriff's office on County Services Road. On County Services Road. And if you don't, it'll catch up. You'll have a warrant out for your arrest and eventually you'll be somewhere, you'll get pulled over, you'll do be doing something, and you're going to end up having to go to jail in the middle of what you're doing. So, my advice is to plan it out as the best you can. Uh get all, you know, take a day off. I don't know if you work, but I do. Well, then maybe try to try I would I would try to turn yourself in as soon as she gets the warrant. So, I would I would call up there in a you know, every 3 or 4 hours until till the warrant comes through and then go turn yourself in. [Applause] I mean, really, you can it's a trespass. Just let you know January 13, 2024, you're not allowed for this property. Print your name and sign it. Um, really you can turn yourself at any police in any police department, but the jail's the most direct way where you don't have to be transported and all that. Indiana on driving have any tattoos? [Music] The officer finalizes the investigation, wrapping up paperwork and documenting the details. Hey, Priscilla, what's your last name? I can't spell I There we go. I know we probably have a unit report somewhere from the other calls. Okay. 053. This will be easier to go this way. 8 football come on today. They had a football game today. I don't It's tomorrow, right? Tomorrow some tomorrow. Uh well, some of the playoffs are on Saturday actually. I think there are some today. Yeah, I think there are some playoffs today. Some wild card going. Okay. All right. So, you in the system for trespassing? Um you want my case number? Yes. And then um soon as I soon as I key everything in here, then I go down and do the warrant. I follow her off the property. Where do you go? Well, I ain't telling you where I go do no warrant. You going to chase me? 2400. Hopefully you don't have to go far. 2860. Hey, 2860 already. The year just started. That's our citations and everything. For the whole county, I put it right there. Yes. The crayons 42. I'm clear. You didn't pay back. So you had like $60 worth of stuff that I paid for. That's what he was at when I asked him to. Okay. So you're free to go. All right. 428 copy. You way too old to be doing this stuff. We stealing stuff. First time officer 241 drive. Sorry. Come on, Patricia. The woman is clearly distraught, heartbroken, and shaken as she repeatedly vows to make things right. Her boyfriend's trying to evict her and her child. Fire couldn't do more, but we're pretty tied up still. So, the sheriff's office is too $20. I came from Big Ticket Island. That's all I can do. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Well, anybody made this mistake. We can try to send an email. See if some of the parents will donate some supplies. Well, I could. They're all young couples in their 30s. It's hitting them very hard. that care has taken care of the industry that you just have an idea. You're right. I know you're trying to do it for a good reason, but it's still against the law. You still still going to have to go to jail for it. Luckily for you, it won't be at this moment. You can kind of pick your own time, but you need to get in and get out. Um, she's going to do the warrant today because I'll affect 12 working parents if I can Monday. Y I said I'm going to go do the warrant today. Turn yourself in by the end of the day. You'll be out by the morning. Okay. Thank you, sir. Bond is always more expensive than child supplies. That's my other advice. What? Bond is always more expensive than desin. Yes, sir. That's how you got to look at it. You know, just get it. I'm a man. You're very good at what you do. Once it's confirmed that her legitimately purchased items will be returned, she's released and allowed to leave the scene. Well, I kept coming around you trying to distract you to get you to change. So, I kept like following you for a while. All right. Come on, Patricia. Let's uh Get myself together. I got a bunch of stuff. Okay. $125. Is Is any of this stuff hers? Yeah. Yeah, that's all this stuff she bought. Okay, fine. Yes, sir. Okay. I know. I know. It's not right. Now, there's a lot of things that are wrong with this world, but it don't mean we can steal. I understand. They just got the best of you. I know it. And I know it. Yes, ma'am. See you in the next one. Was this really her first time stealing or just the first time she was caught? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Number one, grandpa forgot to ditch the tags and got caught. Police stop an elderly man after a shoplifting report from a nearby Ralph Lauren store. The call claims someone left the store wearing stolen clothes with a tag still on. Officers locate the man a short distance away and notice right away that his jacket still has the tags attached. Okay. You live in town or no? You live in town? Yes. Where where do you live? In the name of You don't know the name? Yeah, I know. I because I have a problem of 710. I cuz you were you were walking down Witherspoon and then when you saw me you you turned this way around. I I because this is one way here I found maybe I can go. He's telling me he was on Nassau Street. Um, all right. So, here here's where we're at. Okay. There was a call for shoplifting over at Ralph Lauren. All right. They provided us with a description of an individual that matches your description. All right. As I'm interacting with you, I can see some clothing on you with tag still on them. So, here is your opportunity to have a discussion with us about what happened. Okay. So, that's where we're at. Okay. Yeah. I was I was walking for 30 minutes. So, at no point did you answer Ralph Lauren at all? No. Okay. And the clothes that are on your person, they're yours? Yeah, they're yours 100%. Yeah. Okay. So, the footage that they have, is it going to show me you taking anything from that shop or No. No. All right. Is there any reason why there's tags in your jacket? Because I I I didn't I didn't move. Maybe. Let's try this again for feeling generous today. Okay. This is your opportunity to be honest with me. Okay. If you lie to me, that's a problem. If you're honest with me, I can work with that. Okay. I was in the dancer street for 30 minutes. Okay. Okay. You were on national street for 30 minutes. Yes. Okay. Did you shop at Ralph Lauren? No. Did you step foot inside of Ralph Lauren at all? No. Okay. Is there any reason why they're going to have footage of someone matching your description stealing items from from Ralph Lauren? He denies everything. Says he never entered the store and was just walking nearby. Despite several chances to tell the truth, he insists the clothes are his. Okay. And the items that are on your person. So, they told us that this individual place the items underneath their jacket. All right. You do have some items underneath your jacket that have tags on them. No. I mean, I I could see the tags. Yeah. Yeah. That I didn't move it. But when I Yeah. Where are those tags from? Where where's where are those tags from? He's on on the on the jacket. Right. But where's where you from? Is that a Polaro Lauren jacket? Yeah. I don't know. You don't know? You're not being very honest with me, are you? No. Okay. You got ID on you? Do you have ID on you? Okay. So, why don't you go ahead and take a look at your left wrist? Take a look at your left wrist. What's that say right there? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. How you doing, sir? Yeah. How you doing? I'm Craig. Nice to see you. Nice to see you. Okay. Did this officer tell you why we've stopped you here today? They they said that you went to the shop.
