On August 24th, 2025, officers were dispatched to a Starbucks after reports of an unruly customer. According to employees, the man became aggressive when he claimed his drink wasn't made correctly. He cursed at staff, dumped the drink out, broke the tip jar, and refused to leave the drive-thru line. When officers arrived, he was still sitting in the lane. Are you able to pull around so we can talk to you over here? >> 40 28 28 around here >> right there who should not be working in here. Who is somebody for 20 years I've had two issues both of them with have been with them. I ordered a drink. I wanted a drink. They couldn't make it. I told him to give me a refund. He said something about calling the cops and calling a manager in and filming my shirt. >> Okay. So, I'm getting two stories. Obviously, I'm getting your story and they're telling me that you threw a cap. You're yelling at them, yelling profanities. You broke the tip jar. >> I think I'm right. >> Okay. Well, >> is freedom of speech not allowed in this country? by by my >> You can do that, but you got to do it in the right way. All right. If you had an issue, >> did I threaten anybody? >> They said that you did. You were yelling them names. You broke >> show the threat. >> Okay. So, they want to sign complaints for disorderly on you. >> Okay. >> Go right ahead. >> Okay. Uh because there's probably >> on them. >> Okay. Well, your story is not the same as their story. >> Okay. >> So, they didn't do anything wrong. They might have made >> a licensed physician. I've been a physician since 1990. You think I'm going to up my my career for this [ __ ] >> Okay. So, when I say when I say complaints, it's a local ordinance. It's not like um you got to go to the Skoi courthouse and it's it's within Northbrook. You you deal with it there. They will have to respond. It will get taken care of there on scene. It doesn't go on >> my money back. That's what I told him. That's what I told him. >> Did they give you your money back or No. Okay. Did you get Did you get a drink? >> No. >> Okay. If you want, since there's probably going to be more people coming through, we can try and go figure this out inside >> and see what they get my money back. That's all that's all I do in the first place. >> Okay. I I have to organize that between them and you. Like, I can't just go in there. >> Tell me what you want me to do and I'll get up. >> I'd like you to pull around so that way we don't interfere that. >> I mean, I'm such a hardened criminal. I think you should get about another 12 cops. That makes a lot of sense. >> I have absolutely no record whatsoever. >> I'm not saying Look, sir. All right. We always come in pairs just cuz we don't know what we're going. >> I think you should get a few more pairs. Okay. Did Did uh you dump some coffee on the side of your car or what? >> Some coffee. >> I tried to get my refund and in doing so I tried to demonstrate to him that he had the wrong drink. I've had two issues here. Two issues in the last 20 years. >> I've had lovely dealings with Ernie and Liz. And I could I could name countless other people. >> I'm not saying I wasn't here to witness any of this. Okay? So I'm not saying you did anything wrong. I'm not saying that I wasn't here. Okay, but if there's an issue with your drink, there's probably a better way to go about fixing it. All right, two issues in 20 years. To me, that's not a lot considering this place can get busy as hell. >> But just be like, "Hey, this is the wrong drink. Can you remake it or can you give me my money back?" There's no need. >> I dealt with this individual before. He doesn't give a [ __ ] >> Okay. Well, then maybe ask for someone else and say, "Hey, can I talk to a manager?" >> He claimed to me that his manager is unavailable and he is powerless to do anything else. and I'm trying to calmly and comfortably get a beverage at 6:00 in the morning so I could go home. >> Okay, >> that's all. >> I understand. >> So, I'd like to just relax and go home and instead I'm dealing with >> I understand that. But there again, like I'm trying to tell you, there's still better ways to go about doing it. I understand maybe you're stressed out. Maybe that's causing a lot of this and then that happening. Fine. But they called us and that's why we're here to figure it out. Okay. >> So, you did not get your money back. >> That is correct. >> You do not have a drink. >> That is correct. >> Correct. >> Okay. All you want is your money back. >> That is correct. >> Okay. Can you grab his information? I'm going to go back in there and see what's going on. Did you get it or not? >> She said we have no idea what they're in. So, of course, they're stopping by to observe. us two are the ones that respond because we have no idea what's going on. >> Can I perhaps just get my money back and get >> They're working on that, but we are going to have to write a local ordinance citation for disorderly conduct. They want to sign complaints. Again, like I explained to you, it's through our Northbrook um just Northbrook at our village hall. You you will be there, they will be there. If they don't show up, then obviously they'll deal with it on that end, but you'll talk to our village prosecutors and work something out at that point. But doesn't go on your state record, nothing like that. It's just within North. >> I just want my money back. That's all I want. >> They're working on that right now. I I asked them to see if they can do that. How much was it? Do you know? >> Uh about $7, something like that. >> Okay. Um my uh partner over here and the trainee, they're going to be handling this. So, they're going to be writing the citation for you. So, you got to bear with them for a minute. >> I'm not going to accept a citation. >> That's fine. You can refuse, but you're going to have a a court date at the village hall. And if you don't ac >> That's fine. And we'll just write refuse down there. >> Wonderful. >> Um, are you able to 40? That's the receipt. And this is the refund of the the money. >> Okay. >> And then if you can just sit tight while they work on the other paper. >> She does not have a business card, but her name will be on the uh Hold on. >> You can't Well, that's fine. We'll mail it to your house, sir. 40 just for information. Thank you for mailing it to my house. >> You can uh advise that he's leaving the scene. >> Thanks. Appreciate it. >> He's refusing to sign the complaint. We'll just uh drop it or mail it at the resident. >> The man was ultimately charged with disorderly conduct and a citation was mailed to him. In the next case, we encounter another individual, someone fully convinced that the laws simply didn't apply to him. >> I'm sorry. Make a left turn and make a right turn. >> You're blocking traffic. These are people right here. You need to go. >> Yo, pull in there. Whoa, bro. What the are you doing, man? >> Pull over. >> Pull over right there. Give me your ID. >> Door, bro. >> Give me your ID now. >> Close my >> Give me your ID now. >> I'm telling you. Look, I just >> No, you you're you're you don't understand. This is a dangerous situation. We have traffic that's coming through. You need to you need to obey what I am telling you. >> You understand? It's an order when I tell you to MAKE A TURN. STOP. >> STOP. 22. Copy a plate. Edward John 24621. Edward John 24621. >> He's getting arrested. >> It didn't take long before he was spotted again. >> Remember me? No man, are you the guy that I was talking to? Remember when I taught you the first time? Bro, >> listen. We did. There was there was very minimal talking that happened. >> You were driving around. Okay. No. >> Listen. Let me talk. >> Yes. >> Stop talking and listen. >> You were driving around. You weren't obeying any of the traffic laws there. You're coming up through a red light. You were approaching us. You're blocking lanes of traffic. You weren't obeying my commands and I'm saying make the turn because you're obstructing traffic. You're sitting there arguing with me and I tell you, "Okay, fine. Pull over there. I'm going to write you a ticket." And you decide no. And you're don't I know you're going to talk. Don't. And then you're trying to argue with me some more. So then you back up. You almost struck one of the officers when you backed up. And then I came to the door. I opened the door. I said, "Give me your ID. I'm writing you a ticket." Right? And then you basically started to argue some more. And then you decide this, I'm not staying. And you took off, right? And then these guys eventually come up to you. You pull out the marketplace again. You're on your phone. You say you to us and you drive past. There's an ambulance that comes by. You don't yield the ambulance and you keep driving. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, I'm going to write you a [ __ ] ton of citations. >> I mean, I hear what you are saying. >> Yeah. >> Now, if you're asking me to have a conversation as adults or No, we're not. We're beyond the conversation. There's no conversation. tell me everything as if I'm just >> So if that's what you believe happened, that's what you believe happened. It's hearsay. >> It's all on camera. >> It can be. It's hearsay. It's what you're telling me. >> Okay. >> But in reality, bro, >> reality what? >> Exactly. This what I was trying to do from the jumper. You were telling me to shut up and stuff and shoot me as if I was less than. >> Dude, the matter the matter is you're about to get arrested. I'm about to get arrested. The fact is, bro, I'm about to get arrested now for >> Yeah, cuz obstructing ID, I can arrest you for that. >> Who said I was obstructing ID? When I came up to your car, >> I'm kidding right now. >> When I came up to your car and I said, "Give me your ID." And you drove away, that's obstruction. Do you understand that? >> Pulled up three times. >> All right. Put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest. >> Really? >> Yeah. You're under arrest. Put your hands on your back. We're not doing this. You're going to sit here and argue with me, >> bro. This is what I'm saying. You told me. >> No. Stop talking. >> We're not going to do >> under arrest. >> You're under arrest now cuz you could have just listened. Okay. >> So, what am I under arrest for? Obstruction >> for what? >> When you initially drove away from me when I was asking for ID for the traffic violation telling you I'm going to write you a ticket. >> I didn't about no traffic ID or no object >> points be mark time 95. >> This one turn. You're going to do all this because you can't listen. Trying to cut your brake. You could have just listened, but you want to sit here and run your mouth. You can't listen. That's the problem. So, now you got to learn. Let's go. >> Can I ask you a quick question? What you take off? >> You have insurance? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Is it in the car? >> Let me wipe. Let me wipe my eye real quick, bro. Let me wipe my eye real quick, bro. >> You know, bro, >> what do you What do you want me to do? >> No, nothing. Nothing. And you good? >> It's your sleeve. >> I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. Appreciate you. >> Turn around. Get in the car. >> Yo, get in the car. >> All right, bro. >> Oh, man. Have a seat. >> You're the one that's doing this, not me. >> What did What did I do? >> All you had to do is stop and and listen. That's all you had to do. You want to just run your mouth instead of listening? The man was charged with obstructing as well as fleeing and eluding.
