This [Music] person right now, that got everything to do with her. Why I got to get penalized? Please, please, sir. I'm begging you. Please. I'll may as well. I'll do the purse, too. The personal car. Please. I won't take that. Please. I'll stand in one line right now. I swear to God. Please. I didn't know if she was resisting. Please, please. I'll stand in one line right now. Please. Like, we weren't like fist fighting or anything, but it's like, "Hey, stop." And they're walking away. And then she was pulling away from me putting her handcuffs. Steve had nothing to do with me. Just let you guys out here. Please. I swear to God. 200 200. Please, sir. I swear to God. Please. That had nothing to do with her. Nothing to do with me. Please. I swear to death. You were driving. No, I swear to God. We literally just drove from the blade to the swear to God. Please. You were driving. Please right now. The investigation finds no signs of DUI. So, the arrest is based solely on resisting and the hidden run charge. Do with me, please. I swear to God. Okay. Do you want to see the video? my grandfather's grave. You're not going to jail for DUI. You're going to jail for police. You're going to jail for hit and run and resisting me. Wait, who hit and run? Please. Whenever you hit this lady on video, never hit and run. I swear to God right there, please. Okay. Nothing you do is getting you out of this car. Okay. Nothing you do or say. Nothing you do or say is getting you out of this car. So, you can stop screaming. I swear to [Music] God, please. Maybe was driving. She was not. I swear to God. Test me right now. I swear to God. Oh, my grandfather. Please. I don't want this. Listen. My grandfather would be my right now. My grandfather would tear me up. Here's your stuff back. Thank you. Um, so this is the driver exchange form. So this has your info and her info. Um, the vehicle belongs to a family member of hers and I don't have proof of insurance right now. Okay. So what you'll have to do is go through um your insurance and basically they will pretty much sue her on your behalf to recover damages. Um, I don't have to do that. Do do I? You don't have to. No, ma'am. Um, if you want to leave the damage as is, that's fine. Um, with that settled, the officer wraps up the scene and updates the victim on the next steps in the process. Up to you. Um, if it was me, I would be getting stuff fixed on their dime, but that's up to you. That's up to you. Um, do you have any questions for me? I don't I don't. Thank you very much. Yeah, no problem. Um, I Jerry's still out on whether or not she's drunk. Honestly, I think she there she might might be, but just kind of how this all played out and putting her in handcuffs and stuff, I don't think I'll be able to do much of a DUI and she's already going for the other two things. So, it's kind of like, well, I feel bad. You know, you don't need to. That's her decision. That was her decision, especially to leave. Yeah. and fake it and then resist the cops when they got here. You know, dad saw her. You don't have anything to feel bad about. Oh, well. Um, any questions? Okay. Nope. I'm good. Okay. Thank you. All right, ma'am. You have a good night. You too. The charges, resisting arrest and leaving the crash. But thanks to a diversion program, she's got a shot at clearing it all if she plays by the rules. Number three, Karen's Uber tantrum goes off the rails. In a restaurant parking lot, officers respond to a call involving an intoxicated woman refusing to leave an Uber. When they arrive, they immediately notice her impaired state. [Music] Oh, thank you. Oh, thank you for showing it off. What's going on? Why? All right. This man is an Uber driver. Okay. So, I can see right now from the get-go that you're very drunk. Okay. No, sir. All right. Go ahead. Do me a favor. All right. Do you have weapons on you? No, I do not. No, you What are you having? You mind you mind if I pass at you real quick? Ma'am, what are you having? Oh, no. No. Do what you need to do. Okay. All right. Do me a favor, man. I'm just put it down. Thank you. Back. Why are you bothering me? Well, right now don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Don't do that. Ma'am, can you uh please not do that, sir? Just remain still. You have no reason to retain me. That man tried to rob me. Please, sir, can you take my phone? Why are you arresting me? And why are you holding me and you're not letting me speak? Sir, why are you speaking to me like that? This is abuse. Go ahead. Walk over here. Is this your bag right there? Perhaps the uh she What's that, buddy? She found my stuff from the Yeah. Okay. We We'll get that. What's that? Do you want me to bring your car over here? Yes, please, sir. All right. Um, get the key. Can you take all my belongings out of that vehicle? Is that your bag right there? Yeah. We'll make sure we get it back. Um, yes, you will. Instead of cooperating, the woman keeps talking loudly. convinced she's the real victim here. Oh, Clearwood Police. Now, you were supposed to take Oh, don't grab me. I'm already grabbing you. Yeah, well, you shouldn't put your hands on me. Why are you detaining me, sir? Well, right now you're so drunk that you thought it was a good idea to try to pull away from me. And then I walk up and you're laying on this man's horn, which I'm assuming an Uber driver because he refused to take me to Okay. Well, he has the right to refuse to do anything. He's not right. And I have the right to refuse to speak to you. Okay. Absolutely. And now he did not take me to my destination. We got a new one for you. Oh, I got one for you. Mhm. I'm sure you do. We'll get you there. Safe town will get you there. Anything other than the bag or just your bag? You're not allowed to search me. Well, we're going to. So, no, you're not. This is illegal search and seizure. Okay. What's illegal about it? I don't know. You tell me. Do you mind if I request a female officer? What's that? You mind if I request a female officer? Go ahead. Uh, can I request an officer. Oh, you put your hands on me again. Wow. This is against the law. Can I have a female officer about You better get all of them. Don't push. Then things escalate as she reaches peak entitlement, turning the situation into a full-blown scene. Don't punch me. No, you ain't the only one. Do me a favor, man. Go ahead and step in. No, I don't have to. Am I under Get in the car. Am I under arrest? Get in the car. Am I under arrest right now? Right now, ma'am. All you get in the car. Am I under arrest? Ma'am, get in the car. No. Get in the car. No, I'm not under arrest. This is illegal. Ma'am, put your feet in the car. This is illegal. Put your feet in the car. No, I don't have to. Huh? No, I don't have to. Ma'am, please. I don't have to. Am I under arrest? Am I under arrest? For what reason? For what? Oh, refusing right there. Why? Ma'am, put your feet in the car. Why are you ma'am? Now you're resisting arrest. Ma'am, now you're resisting arrest and you're making us under arrest. You're under arrest. Now get in the car. Get in the car. Really? Ma'am, get in the car. No. Okay, Margie. Uh, do me a favor. Put your butt in the back right there and we'll scoot you up there. Okay. Yeah. More easier that way. One. Why are you [ __ ] with me? Hey, we're going to do a big jump. Okay. One, two, three. Here we go. Why you manhandling me? Meanwhile, the Uber driver calmly shares his side of the story. And she Where did you pick her up from? My me. No. Yeah. Where did you pick her? From uh Publix. Where? Which Publix? Um G Publix in Belchure. Gan Belure. Yeah. Uh Publix. Um All right. Okay. So, you picked her up at uh Golf Dam Bel. You're Uber driver, right? Yeah. Okay. What what how do we get here? You just She put the address. Uh-huh. I think she she said I want to go to hotel, but the Uber bring me here and he finished and uh at that point. So, yeah. And I come here because there is more people to see me and two guys come to to very brave lady and doing that thing and I tried to stop her and she keep my head strong. Okay. So you picked it up at Publix. All right. She put in the wrong address. She brought you like right over here. Okay. Yeah. I have the out of here. So when when um when she when you came here and she became upset, right? What did she say when she came up? Uh do she off her phone because no more battery. Uh-huh. Her phone was off cuz it off. Yeah. Yeah. And I asked for the good address. I turn off my app because I told her, "Give me your address. I'm not going to charge you and I going to put you to the hotel." Okay. And she tried to do and nothing happened. Okay. So, she not remember her address. The driver does his best to manage the situation, but her behavior only gets worse. Uh, when did she when did she start like blowing on the horn and stuff like that after she started here? Mhm. Um, like when did when when did it get to that point? This. Yeah. When she's just [ __ ] when come here and call the police. Okay. Yeah, that's all right about when I still the phone. Okay. She told me, "Wait for me. Wait a cup." And when you come, she finished. And she doing that noisy for 5 minutes. Okay. 10 minutes. You got all this horsepower? Mhm. You have your ID? No. And you asked her to get out and you asked her to leave your vehicle. Excuse me? You asked her to get out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I try to me go out and she know a way to go out. Officers then assess her under the marchman act which permits intervention in case of public intoxication. From the beginning, you know, you got a minimum marchman act, right? And this is not a happy marchman act that we could just talk and make, hey, look, go home and go to go to bed or go to jail. This is not the happy march. This is like a sloppy angry drunk and you see it. It's not going to get better. just cuff right away. Okay. So from from the beginning, you know, you got a marchman act to work on and we can always work it up. Okay. Right. And marchman act is is already disorderly in from the time we're out with her become disorderly intox. We're done. The more we see the worse it gets. Go go go right from there. Um and what part does it become obstruction? Well, she pulled away from me and then she also tense pulled away resisted efforts to detain. Yeah. And then she also approved like tried to spin away for you while you're handcuffing and the whole which she didn't succeed in but yeah whole thing. So two charges misdemeanor. She's ultimately charged with trespassing, disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest. Number two flips out over ticket ends up in cuffs. A traffic stop is initiated after a driver is clocked going nearly double the speed limit. Here's what happens next. Hello Debbie dates in the sheriff's office. The reason why I'm stopping you had you at 85 mph coming into the 45. Excuse me? Yeah, you you were at 85 mph and you actually encroached into the 45 mph zone. Bad guy says 55. Even Even if the speed limit back there is 55. Yeah, that's what I was going on. No, you're going 85. Yeah, you're you're cruising. Do you have your license on you? Sure. This section now is 45. Right. Right. Cuz I'm almost home of that. Thank you. Everything good with your license? No standing tickets or anything like that? I call your license. Sorry. So, this is a citation for that speed. Okay. The 85 and the 45. It does not. So, with that, you don't get any of the three options. is you have to contact this number on the front and schedule a court hearing. Okay? It doesn't allow me to give you a fine amount. All right? All I need from you is a signature. What do you mean? What's your name? Deputy Davidson. It's right there on the bottom of the citation right there. You didn't hear what I asked. You said, "What is my name?" I said, "It's Deputy Davidson." I did not ask you that. Okay. You said that I have to go for a court hearing. I said, "What do you mean by that?" It means you got to contact that number and schedule an appearance in front of the judge. The speed is too great for me to issue a fine amount because you're over 30 mph in the roadway. One appears to be in So all I need is a signature from you. It's not saying you're guilty. It's just saying you're going to contact that number and schedule court date. That's all. I'm not sure if I should sign anything that I'm not I'm just going to tell you a refusal to sign a citation is an arrestable offense. So, you're going to arrest me because I do not understand what you're talking about. I I don't understand what you don't know what I'm saying to you. I had your speeding. Hold on. Let me quote. Let me quote. Despite the officer's clear explanation, the driver refuses to sign the citation and decides to take a different route. Okay. So, this is a deal. You were doing 85 miles an hour in a 45. I just I just told you I am making a phone call. You listen. I'm not here to make phone calls. Okay. So, you want me to sign something that I'm not comfortable with and then I said, "Let me let me signing cuz you said you're going to arrest me for something that I do not understand why you going to arrest me for. So, I need to call my family member." You don't have to call your family member. You're Yes, I do, sir. No, you don't. No. Yeah, sir. I'm telling you right now. Legal right. I have my rights. Okay. You're my right. Driving is a privilege, not a right. We're going to start out with that. So again, you were doing 85 mph and a posted 45 mph speed. And I said I was not. I was 55. We're not going to argue road sign. That's something that you go to a judge. Correct. And in this case, you don't get three options like a normal speed citation. You get the option of calling the number and scheduling a court hearing. At that time, you can make your argument with the judge that you were not speeding. Okay? That's the time that you get to argue. You don't get to argue roadside. Okay? I'm not arguing with you, sir. You are arguing. Okay. Okay. So, you're going to arrest me cuz I'm not arguing with you. I'm not saying you're not I'm arrest I'm not saying I'm arresting you for not agreeing. I'm saying if you fail to sign a citation for a court date. I am picking up the citation. I will go to the court, but I'm not signing something that I do not understand. You want my supervisor to explain this to you? He's right behind you. Do you want Do you want me to call my family member? Cuz it's right on the phone. Nothing what your family is going to say is going to change what I'm about to tell you. Okay. Okay. Okay. I I I would understand them better than you. Hey, traffic sick. The officer warns her multiple times that refusing to sign is an arrestable offense. But instead of backing down, she responds like this. Cuz you said you're going to arrest me for calling my family member. I didn't say I was going to arrest you for calling your family member. I said I would arrest you for not signing, saying that you're going to show up to your court date. You can't you cannot arrest me for that, sir. I'm going to let you talk to my supervisor. He's going to tell you that I can arrest you for not signing the citation. No, you cannot arrest me for that. It's called failure to sign a summon. No. Okay, I'll be right with you. The supervisor is called in to help deescalate, but before anything can be resolved, things take an unexpected turn. You can't leave. Yes, I can't leave. You want to go to jail today? You want to go toing jail today? You shoot me there. Shoot me. You want to stop your car and put it in park right now. Okay. Get out of the car right now. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. I'm not. Don't Don't swear at me. Don't swear. Do not. You're not. Sir, he's not allowed to open my vehicle. Yes, he is allowed. He tell you. Why are you driving away from a traffic stop? Because I'm talking to him. He walked away from me. I said hold. No, sir. I was talking to him. So, you would drive away while he's got your driver's license and your all your paperwork? He gave me my driver's license. to get my paperwork. And then he told me something that I don't agree with. He said, "If you do not agree with that, I said to you, you will go to jail." I said, "No, I want to call my family member to see why I'm going to jail for. I'm a citizen in here. What am I going to jail for? You give me a citation, sir. You give me a citation, sir. I said I will comply. I gave you my license and everything. So, now you tell me you're going to put me to jail." So, was it 30 over 85 and 45? Okay. So yeah, I was doing 55. Hey, listen. It doesn't matter if you're doing 55. It doesn't matter. You have to sign that. Sir, are you not going to sign it? Yes or no? No. Okay. And then I will go to the judge. Okay. Do me a favor. No. No. Take your hand off of me. Sir, I'm not putting Stop out of the car. Step out of the car. No. You're going to jail. Step out of the car. You're going to jail. Wait. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Let me sign the paper. Too late. Too late. You're going to jail. Step out of the car. You're going to get tased in about two seconds. Step out of the car. Wait a jail. Wait. Wait a minute. Why y'all doing this? Yeah, we are. Okay. Wait. Wait. Put your hands behind your back. Wait a minute. Put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest. You are under arrest. Put your hands behind your back. This is not right. This is not. And just like that, she's in cuffs and riding to jail. All over a signature. One pen stroke and this whole thing could have been avoided. This is not right. This is not right. Sir, this is not right. Okay. You were Sir, this is not right. You just Listen, you order punch me on my face. Listen to me. No, nobody punched you in your face. Okay, so stop resisting. You're going to catch an assisting charge. Put your hand behind your back.
