I ain't no duck. I ain't no dummy. >> She was on this side of the road running up and she said she was trying to run after. >> Yeah. It started in the bedroom, >> little bit in the kitchen, and it ended out here. [Music] So, right now we're headed to an assault um with the injuries. Um, from the call notes, the female stated that the male beat her and according to dispatch, she sounds really disoriented. So, we're going to try to hurry up and get there, make sure she's okay. Um, stated that the male left um and a vehicle, so he's not currently on scene. Uh, we got a vehicle description. We'll keep an eye out for him just in case we pass him on the way there, but the first priority is going to be her health and safety. Um, so we're going to get there to her and make sure she's okay. >> So, you initially he wanted you to come to this house >> and then instead of you going over there cuz you're like, hey, I don't feel comfortable over there, you know, hey, I want the police to come and stuff like that. Um, so that's when y'all decided to meet at the Samco, right? >> Y'all both met there. You drove there, right? >> And then left your key fob here. >> No, he got she live here. >> He had a whole set of keys. My my house. He had my spare key. >> Just got the house. Gave me the house keys and he had taken the key fob off. >> So I just wanted all my things from him so we could build this relationship. So he was like, "Where your key f at the house?" I was like, "No, you sell me that stuff all the time and you'll be holding on to my stuff." So that's when we came back here >> so he could give me the key fob. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> So I met at the center, but he didn't give you all your stuff. >> Yeah. >> And so you came back here and that's what he came back here to give you the rest of it. >> Yes. >> And then that's when the whole argument happened in the house. >> Yes. >> And that's when some broken glass and stuff like that. And then he went to go leave or he took your phone. He already had the phone. >> He already had the phone. >> He already had the phone. Yeah. Still in his car. So I was like, "Well, just come outside and I give you get your uh phone." So it started in the house cuz you just going to try to get in your car and leave. No, just come on and I'm going to give you your phone. So I walk out here with him to get the phone and that's when he pulled off. Like I said, me standing right here, I might have been a little closer. And that's how that happened. And then he just kept going after he did that. >> Okay. So, you didn't have your phone and you were going to call You were going to call the police when you walked out here to get your phone. >> Yes. >> But he wouldn't give you the phone in order for you to do that. >> Yes. >> And then you finally were able to get the phone and everything else. How did you end up with the phone? >> When when we got to the car, he gave me the phone and then he pul pulled off like I said with me standing >> okay. >> In the door. >> So, you didn't want him here. You didn't want him at the house. So, you were trying to get the phone to be able to call us to say, "Hey, like he's got to go. you don't really like that. Well, he refused to give it to you and then you finally came out to the car to his car to get you probably got the phone and got to the point where he just decided to drive off >> with me standing. Yeah. >> Um, this is your house. This >> you're the only one that lives here. >> Yes. >> Okay. What is his relationship to you? >> We used to be the relationship been dead, but it's like, you know, you try to give them chance after chance. So, tonight was like, you know what? I'm really over this. So, just give me my stuff and we can be done. >> Now, it's up to you whether you want to pursue charges and go that route. The only reason why I say I >> I can't tell you yes or no and you should or shouldn't. >> Well, I'm going tell you that I should. >> But if he's done it before and he's done it once, obviously this is this is probably especially when you're using a car to I get it. you were trying to leave, but had you given them all all your stuff, >> you would have walked right away and been like, "Hey, leave >> in the house." >> Um, but when you start using cars and stuff like that, like >> that's not help you. >> Okay. >> Off some of that blood. >> Okay. >> Um, but those are those are the two different charges in which we have, >> right? >> Um, but like I said, it's completely up to you whether you want to pursue charge and go that route. I'm going have to use some peroxide. It's burning. Yeah, >> it is. It'll just help clean it out a little bit. >> You got your elbow, you got your hand, you got your knee, >> you got some on your foot. >> Then I got a little bitty one >> right there on your side. >> Do you mind if I walk through the house just to see kind of where that happened at and then what kind of what kind of damages? >> You want to go by yourself? >> What kind of damages we have? If you just tell me where it actually happened. >> Well, it started in the bedroom because that's where we was trying to get my key fob, but it ended when we was tuckling in here. Like I said, just some broken glass in there, but you finally go. >> Do you know how the damages happened? >> When we was tustling in the kitchen is how um I don't know why he just got so angry, but we got into a tussle in the kitchen. And that's how all the glass and stuff got broken, you know, calling me all out my name, telling me what he going to do to me. My mom and them told me it's going to eventually happen. It's what told me he was going to kill me plenty of times. The only way we going to part is one of us in a body bag. But we got to fight in in there while I was asking >> for the phone. >> And when we we ended up behind the door and then he finally got up and that's when we came on outside to get the phone. >> Yeah. >> But yeah, it started in the bedroom little bit in the kitchen and it ended out here. >> Okay. >> He was just choking me when I was on the ground. He had his knee >> in my throat. But it didn't do no damage. I'm probably going to be sore in the morning. >> Can you just look up for me? >> Okay. >> But yeah, that's about it. No clothes. I mean, I It wasn't much I could do when he had me pent to the ground, you know, trying to fight. But >> yeah, >> it was not really much I could do the way he had me on the ground. to do a little bit better job cleaning. [Music] So, you can see there's some type of liquid all over the floor. Somebody threw something. Um, and it almost wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't that bleach cuz that's what it smells like. Um, but the concerning thing about what she said is the fact that she's the only one that lives here, but yet there's both sides of the bed have stuff on nightstands and different stuff like that. So, somebody's been living here. We've got clothes in here where two people have been staying here. So, it's just a matter of if he lives here, then she could potentially file for a what they call a protection from abuse order. um being a domestic violence relationship and stuff like that. So >> So this is your bedroom? >> This my bedroom. >> Does she live on the other side? >> That's my daughter room. And my mama's about to get the spare bedroom. >> Okay. Did anybody else live with you? Like stay in your bedroom with you? >> No. When he was here, it was him. >> So he he brought stuff over here to >> Oh, no. No. He never stayed. He would just come spend the night, but he's never stay here. He don't have nothing. It's just me. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. >> I just saw like his hat. I'm assuming it's a Flatville. >> Oh, this is the hat he that might have been the hat he had on tonight. >> You can go down to the district courthouse in Anderson and file for a protection from abuse order. >> Okay. Um and what that does is it protects you from any of trying to keep this from happening again. >> Okay. >> Right. >> Okay. Um, it it hits very home for me mainly because like my mom and my grandmother were both in relationships like that and so I take this stuff very seriously. I try to give every bit of knowledge and information something. >> These are the medics. They're going to check out. >> What happened? >> He drugged me with his car. >> You hurt me anywhere. I mean, just nothing else. She got that her foot. So, we just left that um assault domestic violence situation. Evidently, what happened? The two got into an altercation inside of the house. Um it became physical. Uh there was busted window, some shattered glass. Um inside the house, she is a diabetic. Her insulin pump was ripped off of her. Uh so that was a concern from the medics while on scene to make sure that was going to be functioning properly uh to make sure overall she was going to be okay throughout the night. After that, what happened? They went outside. Uh he got in his vehicle and she was trying to retrieve her phone uh from the statements made from his vehicle and when trying to do so, he put the car in reverse and drug her. So she ended up with some road rash down her left arm and left leg. Um so she was treated on scene by the medics, refused to go to the hospital on scene. Um they checked her out. she's going to be okay. So, she stated that she would she would like to press charges, so she'll be able to do that um at a later date. Uh she was spoken to about the options of being able to get a protection from abuse order from that male to where he can't come near her. Um so, she she's got a couple of options going forward. Um, so how she goes forward with them. Uh, we'll just have to wait and find out. But hopefully she'll be able to stay away from that mail won't and something like that won't happen again. But other than that, that's all we can do for tonight. So, we're going to go back into service. So, we're on the way to the area of Sunny King Honda. uh in reference to possibly a 5-year-old female child running down the road. The passer was able to stop and get the ve or the child in her vehicle. Uh we're going to go make contact and try to figure out where the child lives. She said her dad drives a Rav 4, a red Rav 4. Okay. She was >> We was right We were right there like >> right before you get to the, you know, Toyota right there. Yeah. >> She was on this side of the road running up and she said she was trying to run after him, >> but said that he was getting his car worked on and she was out here playing in the rocks. >> Yeah. >> And said that she seen him and then she took off after him and she said he left me. And then she said her name is Ella. >> Okay. >> Um, >> you're not in any trouble. Okay. >> Yeah. That's why I tried to tell her she wasn't any trouble. You're not in any trouble at all. >> I said you would know more than I would about what she's like, can you please take me to my house? And but she said, "We live up here." And >> I was like, "Okay." Uh, >> were were y'all getting the car worked on over there or over here? Over here. Okay. You want to come with me? If y'all hang out and just talk to this officer right here. I'm going to see if I can get her dad's name. >> Okay. Or either that guy, I think he works there so he could give some kind of >> Come with me. >> You going to hold my hand? Okay. So, did y'all were y'all working on anybody's car? >> I just talked to her dad on the phone. >> Where's he? >> He's on his way. I'm assuming he was at Toyota. >> Here. >> We're Honda. I'm assuming he was at He called me just now. I like, "Have you seen my daughter?" And >> yeah, >> told him she's here. She said that they were getting work done here. >> Yeah, he's not in there. >> Oh, >> I assume he's over there. >> But then she saw him leave and took off running after him. >> Down 78. >> Okay. >> Cuz I what what I seen was the um I think it was a Rav 4. >> Yeah, it was a Rav 4. >> That's what he seen him come out. So maybe he came into this lot, but I seen him come out basically coming out of this lot. See running down. >> She said that the car was getting worked on. You were playing with rocks. All good. Long as you don't throw them. >> How old are you? >> Six. >> Six. Feel like my daughter I'm going to blink. My daughter's going to be six. You like cars? >> How far do you live in Oxford? >> Sweet. >> You want to sit in my car? >> Okay. Your dad's on the way here. I'm going to move this for you. >> I'm move this just where you can sit in the AC. >> That's my dad. >> Yep. >> He's on top of him. If you'll just stay right here for a second. Okay. just I mean for 5 minutes. You know what? Uh in the back uh I went outside the car and then she very welcome sitting in the back and then she never spoke. She never do anything. She was sitting in the back. She opened the door and look at the car which were which were if you look at the cameras you will see us. We were looking at the car. We didn't realize she went out the car and then we just drove >> she was the car. >> No, she was in the car we together and then uh we we we just stopped and look at the car. One of the pilot which is we were trying to buy and anyway we just went out the car and but she's normally she's sitting on the corner all the way behind the my seat and very silent. We never heard she's just went out the car and then looking something because always silent and never talked. We just realized this was what is that's why we are totally sorry. I mean uh that's my mistake. I know. But uh as I told you, she's silent and we didn't realize. >> Yeah. So she saw y'all pull out of the parking lot and then Toyota. Yes, >> you are following us. >> Yes, >> you are following the car alone. >> I'm totally sorry, sir. I'm really sorry about that. Are we ready to go? >> Yes. >> Thank you. Thank you very much. I'm really appreciate it. >> Make sure you check your car every time. >> This is the first time. >> But it only takes one. >> She was out there on that road. >> Exactly. >> Look how fast that truck's going. Another family stopped and brought her back here. >> They found her. >> Yeah. >> How they know that she's coming from >> because she said it. Uh so the family uh notice their daughter missing. Uh immediately called the dealership uh and turned around and came right back here. Uh the father was visibly upset. You can tell that it kind of freaked him out. Um they're very apologetic. Uh I honestly think this was a mistake. of them not checking the vehicle. They said that they stepped out to look at a Honda Pilot they're looking to buy and the daughter stepped out of the car and they didn't even notice. But everybody's reunited. Everything's fine. Uh so we're going to go back in service code 5 with a 1046 vehicle on 21 just south of Buckhorn. 28 golf papa mike 334 [Applause] [Music] It's been sitting here a while. [Music] Still really cold. So, there's really no way unless night shift came by and they got out with it tonight or last night. There's really no way of knowing how long it's been sitting here, but it is partially in the turning lane. We'll see. We'll run the tag, see if it's stolen, has anything attached to it, and then we'll go from there and possibly get a tow truck out here to get out of the roadway. Yeah. So, vehicle does not come back stolen. It comes back to this vehicle and the owner is fine. He is out of Tallaladega. All I'm going to do is put a tow sticker on it on the back windshield. And what that is is just saying that I was out with this vehicle at this time. I'll try to dry off a spot to where the sticker doesn't just fall off. And in a couple of days, if it is still out here, then the next officer that comes along, they can say, "Oh, Officer Britain was out with this vehicle on the 17th." Yes, the 17th. And if it's still here, still partially in the turn lane, uh they can have it towed at that time. [Music] Hey sir. So I'm not towing it right now. I'm just putting a sticker on it saying that I got out with it. Do you have the owner on the phone? >> No. No. >> Oh, okay. >> I know the vehicle. >> You know the vehicle? >> I don't see the >> Oh, okay. Well, it looks like it has a flat tire. I obviously can't get in touch with the owner. So, I'm just putting a sticker on it saying that I got out with it at this time and date and then if it's still here in a couple of days, somebody else can have it towed. But these stickers, they come off pretty easily. So, it's not like it's detrimental to the car. >> I was going to try to get I was going to get him to tow it up in the ground. >> Yeah, absolutely. If >> Yeah. If if y'all want to uh tow it off, that's completely fine. Um that's up to y'all. >> But he's not here. But go ahead. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. So now, so that we've filled out this information. Like I said, I've got to kind of dry off a spot so that the sticker will actually stay on the car. And like I was telling him, the uh sticker is fairly easy to remove. All you got to do is get a box blade or something along those lines, like a razor blade, and it can peel it right off. So, it's not a detriment to the car. It lets us know that I was out with the vehicle, and we can get back on the road. 1039 >> B 21 north just into Aniston. It's going to be on a gray Ford 2811 alpha bravo 977. Register owner showing 1099 through county. We're still rolling. 75 >> 76 we came to a stop. Sunny King. >> Hey, ma'am. >> Hello. >> Hey. You got your license and insurance card? Why did you uh not stop when I lit you up? Well, I didn't really have anywhere to pull over. >> You had plenty of places to pull over at. >> Okay. Is the car in port? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You mind stepping out for me real quick, man? You can leave your phone in the car. All right. Just come step back here for me. No weapons on you, right? No knives, needles, anything. Do you mind if I pat you down real quick? >> No. Go ahead. >> Okay. You want to put your hands on my front bumper for me. [Applause] All right, you can face me. Um, how much you had to drink tonight, man? >> I had a drink. I had >> You can sit on that bumper. I don't >> sit on that bumper. It's the one right behind you. It's got a little shelf right there. You can lean against it. There you go. I drink at uh Fridays. Friday. You drink what? That didn't even make sense. >> I said I said I had I had a drink at Fridays. >> You had a drink at Friday. >> Fridays. >> At Fridays. >> TGI Fridays >> in Birmingham. Just one drink. Do you mind pulling him out and patting him down? >> That's it. >> I'm from Mississippi originally. >> I know. >> So, >> I know who you are. >> Wait. Oh, yeah. >> I dealt with you before. >> Yeah, I know who you are. >> Oh my god. >> There's my bait. Can >> I get it out? Yes, >> sir. You can say >> just one drink. That's what you're going with. I was just on the way home. >> Okay, just face the car for me. Okay, and put your hands behind your back. She got a 99. >> Can I get someone to come get my my car? >> Well, I mean, if you're okay with him taking it if he's sober. I haven't talked to him yet to know if he's sober or not. >> Um, I just I got I got a house around that way. You take him over there. >> Have you had anything to drink today? >> No, sir. >> Nothing at all. Okay. >> Let me lock those for you so they don't tighten up. Okay. Relax. You are so tense. Just relax. >> I am relaxed. >> You're not whatsoever. >> I am. >> Okay. You got a warrant through county. They're trying to confirm it. >> Okay. So, you did know. Do you have insurance on the car? >> I do. >> Okay. Do you know where it is? >> Don't stay back here. >> I say you stay back there with me. >> On my phone. >> It's on your phone. Do you know who it's through? >> Who's it through? >> Geico. >> Geico. >> No, it's >> the general. >> The general. Okay. >> Oh. >> Uh, so we stopped this vehicle. Uh, the owner was showing a possible warrant through Ken County as well as her driving behavior. She came out of her lane numerous times. Uh, she smells really heavy of the odor of alcohol. She said she had a drink and um at TGI Fridays, but the closest one I know of is uh about an hour from here. I definitely think she had more than just one drink. Luckily, we have a county unit out with us, so she's detained right now um until we find out if the warrant is valid or not. >> You haven't drank anything, right, bud? >> No, sir. >> Nothing whatsoever, >> ma'am. >> You haven't drank anything, taken anything, nothing like that? >> Okay. I mean, if he's if you're willing to let him take it, I'm fine with it. >> Are you okay to take it? >> Like, you cool to take my car? >> Stand with him real quick. >> Cool to take your car. I I don't got like >> Hey, I'm going to put you uh in the back of his car. Okay. Do you have anything on you you shouldn't have whatsoever? >> Hey, is this your phone? >> Yes. >> You going to want to take it with you? >> Yes. >> Wait, she's going to have to call her brother from it. Can I call my brother? >> Yes. Give us one second. Okay. Nothing on you you shouldn't have though, right? Correct. I'm about to search you. So, I like chance to be honest. I'm going to take that as a no. Okay. Come stand over here with me. But no, we're not going in traffic. Okay. So, what is it? It's like, >> is it of a pill? No. >> Half of a pill. Okay. Is it in your bra? Is that why you rolled me? Okay. Look, I'm going to open this door. Okay. Don't sit down. >> I'm not. >> Where? Which side? >> Left. >> Left side. Are you going to charge me with it? I already know you are. It's in the top, not the bottom. >> Someone gave it to me. >> Someone gave that to you? >> Yep. >> You have no idea what it is? >> Nope. >> I have a good idea of what it is. Is there anything else on you? >> No. >> Nothing whatsoever, right? >> No. Like I said, we already know we're going to jail. So, it's a higher It's a very, very hefty bond if you do. Okay. >> I don't have anything. >> Okay. Just face the vehicle. >> Relax. Okay. >> Yeah. I just want don't like to go to jail cuz I have a kid. >> I don't think anybody likes to go to jail. But >> she's got some more pills in the car, but I think they're just going to be like like >> Did you search him? See? >> Yeah. >> Here we go. >> I honestly have no idea what that is. >> You have a right to have an attorney present with you during any question and to stop questioning at any time. With all these rights in mind, will you talk to me >> about what? >> About what she found? >> What she found? >> The pill. >> What pill? >> The half pill. So, all I want all I really want to know is like is it f? >> So, what do you what do you use it for? I'm just curious. >> I don't know. Someone gave it to me in the club out. >> So, did >> I don't even know what it is. >> Have you taken any part of it? Like, have you taken the other half? >> I haven't taken it. >> So, have you ever taken anything that looks like that? >> No. >> What club? Uh what club did you get it from? I was really at the park, not even at the park. >> At the park? >> Mhm. >> Wait, the civic uh down there at the firework? >> Yeah. I don't even go to the parks. I mean the clubs. Like I'm not from here. I'm from Mississippi. Yeah. So >> So somebody gave it to you down at the park. >> They didn't say anything about what it was. >> No, it's just one of my friends. So >> one of your friends gave you something and didn't tell you what it was. Come on. You had to know something. >> I don't know nothing. >> So, if we test it, what do you think it's going to come back to? >> I don't know. But either way, I'm going to get charged with it. So, >> why do you say that? >> Cuz y don't found it on this. Who else y'all come charging with? >> I mean, obviously, >> I ain't no duck. I ain't no dummy. >> Well, I didn't say you were. >> All right. >> Like, I got I got a kid at home. Like I'm ready to just go to jail and get go to see the judge. >> Well, why are you taking Why are you taking stuff from people if you're trying to get it straight? >> Maybe because I was out of my mind at the time. >> I mean, I get >> you never been before. >> No. >> You never been drunk out of your mind before? >> No. >> Oh, well, I'm talking to the wrong woman then. >> I am honest. >> Okay. So, what went on at WLO? I reverse and I hit someone. >> Okay. What did you hit? Do you remember? >> I don't. >> But I know that it wasn't messed up cuz I looked at it. >> Well, yours is. >> I mean, I'm just being honest. Yours is. >> So So you w backed into somebody's car and left >> right before I pulled you over. Correct. >> 32. Just so when I tell the other officer that's out there doing the report right now, that's that's an accurate statement. >> Okay. Well, I appreciate your honesty. Okay. >> Your vehicle is getting towed. Okay. >> Oh my god. >> Due to the fact that it was involved in hit and run. >> Great. >> Okay. So, your vehicle is going to get towed. I will give your friend an opportunity to call somebody and have them come pick them up or I'm not really going to have a choice but to have them walk home. Don't arrest him, please. >> I'm not arresting him. I have nothing to arrest him on at all. >> Saying him, >> but uh just I'm being honest with you. Okay, >> that's great. >> Oh, see that's cool. So, you might have to crush it up for it. Heroin. >> Yeah. Let me go right. >> That was our other one was a black tar heroin. That was our other thought. >> Hold on to that. Let me go get the test results off it. >> Tell them exactly. Okay. >> Uh so right now we had uh Andison police, which is our neighboring jurisdiction to the north. Um this traffic stop is uh in their jurisdiction at this moment. Um we did observe her in our jurisdiction. She just rolled us all the way up here. Uh, Officer Bush has some test kits and he was able to test this pill. Um, as of right now, the initial results are coming back as um, so he's about to verify that. Uh, if he is able to verify that, uh, she's going to end up going to jail tonight for a possession of controlled substance believed to be [Music] [Applause] [Music]
