some parents are meant to protect their children these ones did the exact opposite thankfully the cops stepped in just in time here are five cases when cops rescue kids from Evil parents number five mother ignored the risks of leaving child inside her car now she's learning the hard way police respond to a Publix after a shopper spots a running car with no driver only a child in the back seat concerned they alert store employees who call the police police when officers arrived they check on the child and confirm that the car was left running with an unlocked front door no she's totally sweetheart I can't um so so what happened so what did you see so I the car is very loud so I took notice of the car I went in I did my shopping I came back out and when I was coming this way I noticed there was movement in the car and I was looking and I'm like there's a baby in the car how much time had passed between I had gone in done some shopping my alarm went off at 4 4 I don't know something like that I was in there at least 15 minutes she read a book um came back out noticed the baby in the car and then I was I looked tried to look in the card enough to see if there was anybody else in the car and then I got the people from Publix over here they went in and got their manager and your manager so I mean it's been a while how how long do you think at least 30 minutes okay you know since I got here at least okay all right I mean you just cannot leave your baby in a car I understand the concern absolutely you would get in more trouble with the dog you don't need them in the car hi everything's fine yeah and it's like do you do that at a bar too do you a concerned bystander reports the whole situation to the police distressed about the poor kid who was left all alone un like this is the area of the world you don't leave your child in a car I understand your concern all right but isn't it also illegal yeah there's very specific statute on oh my God neglect so okay I'm also drinking a bottle baby's choke nobody there to help her well shouldn't have been left alone in the Park yeah not at all but all right I mean her thinking is so young I I could imagine your to 7 like not more than not more than close to 10 I don't even think like it was not that long so that's why like I genuinely didn't think anything was going to happen but I also didn't know that it with what do you think that was um all I know is that it's most likely like her baby daddy's family is like coming out to get them so she can't like post anything that has to do with the baby cuz Okay news many of them we appreciate it it helps surveillance footage tells a different story the store's cameras show the mother was inside for 9 minutes not the five she initially claimed I want to ask you about what happened in detail okay and because of the nature of this call and the potential for it to be criminal okay I want to read you your rights before I ask you anything okay all right well for just a little bit to for a line like just waiting to see what would clear up and then I went to the checkout line okay how much time do you think the whole thing took at most like maybe at most maybe 10 minutes and that's like really like I wouldn't say anything more than that and it's like I was thinking less than 10 but it's like I'm saying maybe 10 just like with waiting like waiting for a spot and stuff what would you guess would be a reasonable amount of time if you had to leave your kid alone in the park a lot like that what do you think would be a right amount of time I try and like I would like want it to be like at least like not less than 10 like five at most you know like nothing like really quick in and out you understand the vulnerability of I understand the car is locked I can tell you right now if that car was locked and I want to get inside I'd be inside that car in less than 10 seconds and that's why I know yeah I I mean if anybody wanted to take her of course yeah they would have they would have if with it being locked they would have found a way 100% but it was locked and the air condition was on so I did try and make sure it was as safe as possible all right but you understand why someone driving by would be concerned 100% okay I 100% that's why whenever she was talking to me I mean you saw she was coming at me very aggressive and I wasn't argueing with her cuz I understood where she was coming from I totally get it all right and that's why I'm a little emotional right now because the idea of anything happening to my daughter is obviously very like traumatizing so it's just a scary thought although it may not seem like a long time officers explained that anyone could have easily stolen the car with a child inside okay um so you picked up from Dave care you came here yes you needed another ingredient for dinner is pasta and something else yeah you parked here you immediately walked inside mhm you were in there got what you needed went came to the register you think it was no more than 10 minutes no more than 10 minutes is that what you planned on I planned on being it planned on it being less but I wasn't sure exactly like everything that I was going to get so as soon as I figured out what I was going to get I had to run to the other side of the store cuz I got chicken for fajitas the stuff for that that is on this side of the store I go all the way back to this side and that's what took me the longest so yeah I just ended up having to go all over the store and what was the condition of the vehicle when you left I left it on with the air condition on locked and I had her cocoa Melon playing and she had her her sippy cup so that's all all right and it was on parked right here so you kept so there the key was turned to the inition and you had your own backup key I don't have a backup key so how were you to unlock it um uh this this door doesn't lock my front door actually doesn't lock this so if you is it broken it's a little messed up yes so there there's not an option to lock the front door not this one but the rest of them do all right so me painting this whole picture together just to be clear she was in a car and the car was running with the front door the driver's seat unlocked yes sir so essentially at any moment anybody could have got in the car and drove off with a brand new car and a child they could have for all we knew maybe they just wanted the car and not even realize that she's in the back seat yeah that's happened before yeah I'm sorry I'm not trying to be emotional leaving a child unattended in a vehicle is illegal an officer's Informer of the potential consequences you just you understand the picture I'm paying how this could have resulted 100% all right did was left unattended in the vehicle um after reviewing the footage for the store it was determined that um she was going to be charged with child the black it is we're here with the car and we're here then deal with it through the school I to call them they're not answering the phone drive up there she's calling me and telling me that she's getting headaches from that woman screaming I know kids are a pain in the ass you couldn't pay me enough money to be a bus driver but I'm not going to have her I came up here very respectfully and I asked her what's the issue what is my daughter doing because she's not always forthcoming with information so I asked her and she said well your daughter's crying immediately yes I get defensive and pissed off because of how she's coming off I'm respectful and asking hey I know she's not always truthful so what is she doing so I can handle her the woman is a black out so tell me at what point you decide it makes sense to jump on the bus yell at her and make children cry and refuse to get I am please okay again there are ways to handle it this is not it okay so if the school decides to press charges you very May well may likely go to jail for this I need you to understand I get that they won't answer the phone then drive up there instead of coming up here and upsetting 20 other people's children children not every child on that bus is how can she be trespassed or charged of trespassing until she hasn't been trespassed um so just I got it's a good question so it doesn't have to be us telling her a trespass warning for 15 minutes she's on video with the school bus driver saying leave my bus leave my bus leave my bus that's plenty of warning so her by refusing to leave not by our order um is that trust I got that's a good on what's going on at the jail sometimes they're packed and it takes a little bit sometimes I se get booked in a half hour so she's going to go with us to the jail um which is right up 87 yeah I know I tried to tell her that I just take her up there so she do all this you can Free Ride yep um do you have to call a bail bomb person i' have never done that so I don't it's up to Y call a bail bomb yeah you can either post a 5,000 straight up or or 10% with a bondsman to post the rest um but yeah y would Google it or call around or whatever you need to do so my kids are pickup so I'm going to decide to drop the interference charge but the trespassing charge remains number three mother snaps attacks her own son with a knife police respond to a distress call from a woman who claim she's being attacked before dispatch can get more details the call disconnects officers rush to the scene unsure of what they're walking into when they arrive they find a chaotic family dispute involving a so I push her away and I coach the door and I ran I ran downstairs I ran to the car my girl car what at what at what point did they jump you they jumped me when I went back to get my stuff you know have for real which one is his room when you go up the stairs it's going to be the one by the washing machine no but you got to put gloves before I start moving anything around this almost like two it's a domestic violence case they're required to make an arrest even if neither party wants to press charges we have to make this arrest now if you guys decide to want to go to the state if you guys decide to continue pressing charges against each other that's on y own my recommendation it got this bad at this point unfortunately you should have called every time he did what he did we should have being detained until the investigation by the assistant principal was finished and whatever she needed to do as far as documentation get names and all that M subject Ricardo heard what happened up here tonight I don't know what do you mean you don't know my wife dropped me here because I was checking with my son because we anticipated issues mhm with some okay and this officer asked you to
