In your fa on the face. Right in the nose. You were saying >> she punched me in my face. >> She punched you in the face. >> Did we anyone here witnessed that? Just talk. >> You did? You did see what happened. >> I just knew exactly what you pulled off the airplane. >> Okay. And the other team had a better view. >> Okay. Yeah. We'll try it if you want to hear. She was sitting right next to you, right? >> Three alpha 40. >> Delta unit. I'm going to have a 31 reference someone punching a plane. She witnessed it and she also >> the officer gathers statements from everyone involved. The passenger, the flight attendant, and the plane crew. >> It is a >> I will at this point. Yes. >> Well, I have to get I get I need to get witness statements. Okay. and a victim statement from you. And I need everyone to fill this out. >> Okay. So, give it This is going to take a little while. Okay. >> All right. Ma'am. >> Okay. >> I'm trying to figure out who's going to bail me out if you're going to take me in. So, can I do that, please? >> Well, ma'am, I need you to do that real quick. >> Yeah. >> I mean, >> you see you here. You hear that? >> They're still allowed. They'll still allow you to call from the jail. >> So, do me a favor, Cam. Please put your items in your purse. >> Can I write down um a phone number? >> Absolutely. >> Okay. >> What's in the phone number? >> You want to talk to the officer? >> No, I can't talk to anyone else right now. >> He doesn't want to talk to you. >> I have enough to deal with right now. He he said, "If you don't want to talk to anybody, why are you arresting me?" >> Ma'am, I'm not talking to anyone else on the phone. I'm talking to the people here and you. That is it. >> You haven't spoken to me. >> I have witnesses. That's all I need at this point. And I will talk to you if you will please put the phone away. >> You hear about [Music] I I got to I got to hang up there. All right, please put the phone in the purse. All right, now tell me what happened. >> The passenger shares her side of the story, firmly insisting she's the real victim here. >> What happened was I was on a flight earlier um from from DC over here to uh to Florida. This is my connecting flight to go back home to Los Angeles. >> Okay. And on the connecting flight from DC over here, the same flight attendant was on that previous flight >> and she was already giving me a problem because she was like talking to another flight attendant in the back and she was already giving me an issue. I had no issue. And then now she was on this flight also and there was animosity there already. I had no problem with this person whatsoever. So that animosity and that previous preconceived notion of me was already there. Now then she told whatever to the flight uh flight attendant or >> later >> to the flight attendant or the >> or the um this this flight person and this is actually the person who helped me on this flight who helped me figure out my ticket on this flight. So when she was coming to me and telling me to get off of the flight because of the flight attendant and I was some danger, I was like what? Like I was super confused. And then everybody in my section was like just be quiet. Don't say anything like you're good. You're good. And I'm like yeah, I'm good. I think I'm good. And then she comes up to me all of a sudden and she tells me like, hey, you have to get off the flight. And I'm like like for for what reason? And she couldn't give me a reason. And I'm like okay. So I start to get off and I'm like are you at least going to give me another flight? And she said yes. And that was that. But then as I was getting off she's like the the the >> she agrees to deboard but claims she asked for a rebooking and was told it would be arranged. As she starts to leave though, things quickly begin to spiral. >> Um, I don't even know her name, but the girl right there, she was like looking at me and I'm like, "What is happening?" Like, I have no idea. Like, I have no idea what motivated her to go to um whatever her name is to get me off of that flight. >> Okay. >> And that's all. >> All right. But you did what as you got off the plane? I didn't do anything. >> Ma'am, >> I didn't do anything. >> What's your name? >> I'm sorry. My name is >> Sodto. You ever did you ever hit her? You >> sure? >> Um, do you see my face? >> Yeah. >> But she hit me if anything. >> It was an attack. >> Did you touch your face? >> I'm not going to say that. No. >> No, you're not going to say that. But the thing is, unfortunately, I have witnesses say that you did punch the flight attendant. And I have other witnesses also. >> Not as you're walking out. >> No, I haven't been able to go anywhere from this position >> because I have to stop and I have to talk to >> How am I supposed to have witnesses if I can't even leave this position? >> It occurred out here. >> Yes, I do. >> Please put your bag down. >> You don't have to handcuff. >> Yes, ma'am. We do. It's policy. >> Drop your bag. >> It's policy. >> Can I ask you one more time? Can I please can I please put you please put >> phone numbers on a paper? >> I can you tell me and I can write them. That's why I have a pen and paper. Okay. >> I'm going to take your phone. >> All this goes in the bag. >> Give you uh an option. You want to want me to do the paper and you run it? >> If you want to do the paper, I'll be happy to. >> Okay. >> You have her ID and >> I haven't even gone that far. Where is your ID, ma'am? >> Where is it? >> Where is your ID? >> I don't have an ID. >> You don't have a driver's license. >> Once detained, she cooperates a little, but grows more frustrated and confused. >> Fine. We'll take her up to the front. I'll take her to the front. >> I'm going to take her to the car. >> I'm riding her and then Burman's taking the paper. >> Okay. All right. >> I need to put phone numbers on a piece of paper, please. >> That's fine. 3 alpha 11 or 3 alpha 30 >> 36 have a meet out in the front curbside before >> you need to take me in custo >> all the way through the airport >> correct >> are you serious is so embarrassing [Music] [Music] [Music] Where you from? Stop pulling. Relax. >> I'm not pulling. >> Okay. It feels like you're pulling. >> No, I'm walking. >> Okay. >> Not trying to be here. >> All right. >> All right. >> All right. She's going to pat you down. Okay. Can you um This thing comes out. Your belly ring comes off. >> Yeah. >> No, I'm probably going to have to cut it off. >> I'm sure that comes off, >> huh? >> Officers remain procedural, checking her for contraband before placing her inside the patrol car. >> I don't know. I don't know how much it was. >> I got very close. >> My god. It's only that I don't know why they like they don't like maybe they were a little too tight. >> Take that. Boom. See that? You're getting me nervous. >> All right, come on. We got to park you down. Make sure you don't have anything behind you. Stand right here. Just turn around that way unless people see me. Okay, lean forward. Some of these things have pockets on. All right. Legs for me. All right. Okay, I'm going to start taking off your jewelry. Okay. Wow. >> All right. Let me get a bag. All right. >> She's got a lot of jewelry. >> After the search, they begin removing her jewelry. During the process, she continues to deny any wrongdoing. Please be careful because they're new. Okay. >> No. What? What's new? >> The piercings. >> Oh, okay. >> And that's okay. You could take them off, but please be careful. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> Mhm. >> Did she give them a hard time coughing or anything? >> No, I didn't. >> Should I let her take her own and things or what? >> Honestly, please. shouldn't even be in cuffs right now. If you want to arrest me, it's okay. >> All right. But I need you to take everything to change. >> No problem. No problem. This is tight as if I have a problem with my nails, you can help me, right? I'll try. Thank you. How am I going to get my number? >> When are they going to come back with it? Because that's very important. >> You're going to get it because I get >> Well, because I'm not from here. So, before I'm booked, I need to have those numbers. >> You usually get your numbers before we let you open up your phone. What state are you from? Not from here. Some piercings prove more difficult to take out, but the officers carefully ensure that all jewelry is removed from her body. >> Don't throw your socks away. You might want to use them. >> I don't want them. They'll give me new ones. >> No, they only give you lip gloss. >> You've been arrested before? >> No. >> They'll give me socks though. No. You got to do that one. >> How do How do I do that? Which one? >> I think it's this one. >> I think it's this one. >> Okay. All right. Let me see. Smile for me. Come here. No. Smile. All right. I can't get You'll have to do it over there. All of these are screws. >> Mhm. And which one are you screwing on? The one in the front or the one in the back? >> Um I think the one in the back. Now these are what? You tighten them up like this one right here. That looks like a >> No, it it was like infected, so it's like kind of swollen. >> All right. So, we'll let them deal with that. >> All right. Yeah. >> Let me see. >> I mean, what the am I supposed to do with my piercings? All right, just put your hands behind your back. >> Yeah, thank you. >> During the interaction, she questions the officers and demands answers, growing irritated even as they attempt to help her. >> Where's her stuff? She don't got her ID or anything. We're coming out. >> Yeah. How am I supposed to get my numbers? >> It's still coming out. The guy that's going to arrest you, he's coming out. >> Are you not arresting me? Are you not the guy who's arresting me? >> No, I'm just the one who moves you from point A to point B. >> Oh, that's crazy. >> You can just lean on the car right here. >> Can I go in the car? >> Can I go in? >> I'm going to get you in the car. You don't have a car right now. Car. >> You You have like a,000 cop car here. How do you How can you not put me in a car? >> You're not the one who's arrested. >> Can you put me in a car? >> Where's his car? >> Is it unlocked? >> Like any car and then transfer me. I'm just going to stand out here like what the That's not cool. I don't know. While being transported, she continues to argue her case and demands fairness, stating she has not been allowed to gather her own witness statements. >> Oh, man. >> Am I number? >> Yeah, you are. But he's got to come out with the thing. He's got to get statements, all kinds of stuff first. >> Statements? >> Yeah. from the >> am I am I not even be able to >> get my statements from people who are around me? >> Um maybe I don't know >> like how is that even fair? How am I supposed to have evidence on my side >> if I'm not able to if I'm not able to have statements myself? >> No, I mean you you can tell him what you he he's >> he doesn't care what I have to say. >> That's not him. He's not the one doing the arrest. >> The the white man who was in the plane, he does not hear what I just say. >> Oh, the one that Okay. >> Okay. Um, >> how did this >> What's your first name? >> What are you looking for? >> I'm looking up your information cuz it's got to go on the arrest form. What's your first name? >> It has to go under what? >> What is your first name? >> It has to go under what? I'm sorry, ma'am. I need to know all the >> a report. I mean, what do you what do you think I need your name for? >> If you're not the one >> the arrest cuz they don't have your ID. >> If you're not the one arresting me, then why do you need >> Okay, do me a favor. Don't talk to me no more. >> I'm trying to help you. Good. >> Yeah. Mine. >> All right. Yeah. >> All right. >> If they were going to go to another vehicle, >> am I able to get my phone next? >> Yeah. I'll give you phone numbers. Soon as we get in the other car, we'll take them out the phone. Okay. >> She asks repeatedly to write down contact numbers and to access her phone. Officers allow her to do so and continue processing her for arrest. >> It should be all in your purse, right? >> And you have my purse. >> Yes, I have your bag. It's on your bag. >> Can you help me? >> Absolutely. If you request some. >> Yeah. >> This is what happens when we go through this. Regardless how fast you want to do it, it's not going to go that speed. [Applause] >> The woman is eventually charged with disorderly conduct and battery. She's sentenced to 6 months of probation, required to complete anger management, and must pay associated fines. Number four, she wanted a boarding pass, got handcuffs instead. Officers respond to a call about a woman denied boarding at the airport for being intoxicated. Here's how it all goes downhill. >> I don't want no beef. I'm just trying to go home and enjoy myself. I'm trying to go home. >> See that? >> But I've been here for hours. >> Yeah, it happens. >> I was drinking. I've been here for hours. >> Yeah, bad weather. Got to do something, right? I don't know what we going to blame it on, but >> watch out with your uh your whip there. >> Is it my time, Miss [Music] Back right now, >> you've been drinking, huh? >> Yeah. >> Come on over. >> How many hours have I been waiting for? >> I don't know. How many hours have you been waiting? >> You know, you know the difference between the hours and like you see it in your hand. >> Your family's going to >> together. >> Yeah. my and I and that's one of the reason I was so certain. My family's on a flight. >> So, how long have you been drinking? I wasn't drinking >> for like 2 hours. >> Well, that's the problem. You're on a plane intoxicated. You know that, right? >> I don't know that. But if you going to hold me back, I've been being held back this whole time. I'm not going to distract nobody. I'm just want to go home. I want to go home. >> I know. >> I've been waiting this whole time. >> For the safety of the >> I've been drinking for like 30 minutes. My miss I'm not that long. What? >> I want to get home. >> I know. >> That's the only reason why I was drinking. I would never been drinking. >> Her husband and their kid. >> You okay? >> I got to stay behind. >> Her sister's on the flight. Should I get her name so we can face her over? >> You It's like you you telling me how I feel. I You didn't give me a birth or nothing. I just tell me how I feel. Now there's things that we're building out for >> I want to go home [Music] already. I just want to go home. >> I would have never been over. I just want to go home. Like honestly tinker. >> She insists she's not drunk and claims the airline staff made an unfair decision. Despite officer's explanations, the woman refuses to accept it. Tinker, >> they telling me I can't get on the flight cuz I'm drunk, but they never breathalize me. >> But they never breathalized me, so they don't know how I feel. >> My name's Austin. >> That's that's that's a lawsuit. They can't tell me how I feel. >> Austin, >> so how you going to tell me how I feel? You can't tell me that I'm drunk, >> Miss Austin. conversating with you guys. >> Unfortunately, they could they could deny you the flight. All right. You you are intoxicated. >> Cuz you're you're visibly intoxicated. Okay. >> How? So, >> I'm not like this. Like, how >> are they telling me that I can't get on the flight? >> Yeah. It's their decision. So, there's really like I don't want to get into it. You know, >> it's like y'all hold us back. What else we do? They tell me I can't go. >> That's my battery. >> Yeah. Unfortunately, it's their policy. You just can't be that intoxicated when you fly in a plane. Okay. >> I'm not that intoxicated. Well, according to them, they are. So, they made that decision. Okay. >> The amount of time I only had two drinks. >> I got you. >> How did you decide off of I didn't only had two drinks. >> Well, off your parents, you get pretty intoxicated off two drinks then. So, like I said, visibly >> how I feel. >> It's not about how you feel. It's about how you you you appear with the level of intoxication. >> How am I appearing? >> So, well, you're kind of swaying back and forth. Your eyes are glassy. >> Communicating. >> The alcohol is like emitting from you. We could tell you've been drinking for a while. Okay. >> Yeah. You like that? Cuz I have the cup in my hand. You don't That's not in my body. >> Oh, no. Even if you without the cup, we can kind of tell, you know. >> You smell the cup. You can't tell me. >> You're without the cup now. The cup's empty, >> right? But then you still probably smelling what's here. >> I mean, I smell it coming from like when I was just talking to you. Okay. >> To get home is I'm tired of feeling so sad. >> I'll say it's okay. Yeah, like you just need to you just need to like go over to the terminal, so we're up for a little bit, get another flight. >> Well, the weather's getting better, though. The weather's getting better now. >> The officers calmly attempt to redirect her to the terminal to rebook a later flight, explaining that she's not in trouble and will receive a refund. She repeatedly refuses to cooperate and becomes more argumentative. >> I just want to go home. I'm not that intoxicated. Plus, he ought to tell me I can't go home. Right. >> I'mma sit there and fall asleep to go home. So, what's the issue? >> How could you tell me I'm not good enough to go home when I'm waiting for hours? >> Has nothing to do with being good enough. No one's saying you're not good enough. They're saying you're a little little too intoxicated. >> I'm not too intoxicated to go home. >> The I came to the >> I'm not I'm telling you I'm not. So, if y'all think that, it's not true. >> And and some I'm not. I promise. >> I swear to God. >> All right. I understand. It's a It's a decision that they made. Okay. >> Eating irresponsibly by myself. >> Tell me. >> Is it the way I think I feel? I'm be irresponsible by myself. That's not responsible. >> You're like, you're ready to go. You got your phone. >> Leave me. I've been waiting for hours. >> Is your sister going to stay with you? Can you call her real quick for me? >> She's already on a flight. >> Well, I don't want you to be alone. >> And she already hung up. You You want me to be alone? Cuz she hung up. You and I let me on my flight. >> There's nothing that stopped me from being on my flight. That's >> awesome. There's nothing that stopped me from being on my flight but enough not to be on my flight. >> Calm down. >> You're being denied boarding. I'm sorry. >> I didn't This is my first time talking to you. I didn't say nothing disrespectful to you. >> No, you were. >> Why you feel like it's not okay for me to get on my flight? >> You're a very nice young lady. >> So, why do you feel like it's not okay for me to get on my flight? >> Because you're under the influence of alcohol. Once I know that and I'm made aware, you admitted to me that you have been >> That's not fair. And the fact that you have seen people all these hours is not fair. No one's holding anything against you personally. It's just you're just a little little too intoxicated. That's all. >> It's personal. I'm not intoxicated. I want to go home. >> It's It's not personal though. It's our policies. >> And you cannot tell me that if you didn't burpize me. >> So this is a lawuit. Like what? How could you tell me how I feel? >> Chelsea, you can take care from here. However, >> yo, I swear to God, I got to go to work. I need to go home. I got to go to work. >> I understand. Chelsea, >> I got to go home. I got to go to work tonight. Like y'all, I've been out there. >> Can you calm down so this this nice lady here can help you? >> No, I'm trying to let y'all know. >> She insists she's not too intoxicated to fly and grows increasingly emotional, blaming the situation on the flight delay and expressing frustration over being separated from her family. >> Ben had to be home to go to work. The flight got delayed. I need to go to work. I need to go home. I can't even stand around. I need to go home. >> Chelsea, no. No one could put you on this here flight. The only thing I could get you your flight is a little bit of time. >> Like you just stopped me from taking a flight cuz y'all over booked. You're not stopping me. >> It's not cuz they're over booked, sweetie. >> Cuz I didn't do nothing wrong and and it's >> that's not fair. Like it's up. Yo, >> Chelsea, I know you're upset. >> Well, I'm supposed to say it by myself and already been saying for hours. >> Listen up. I >> It's not you can tell me to make me feel better. It's nothing you can say. Tinker, they telling me I can't get on the plate with y'all. Chelsea, can you just calm down so she can get >> No, I can't calm down cuz then I solve my issue right now. They want me to sit here and buy myself and wait for another flight. That's not fair. That's grammy. >> That's not fair. They doing that cuz they think they thinking y'all ain't saying no. You can't tell me how I feel. That's Tinka. >> What? >> That's up. Yo, I been with a [ __ ] That's the only thing I want. Can you put me on another aine? >> Can you put me on another aine for today? Take away aine nail on a saying y'all trying to play me. >> You want a refund? >> I need to go home. I want a refund. >> Listen. >> No, Chelsea. Chelsea, calm down. You can't insult them. Yeah, I insulted me. I >> I tried They tried to get you to calm down. I was standing here the whole time. Good. So, we're going to refund her ticket. She's denied. >> I don't want I just want to go home. Hey, I won't do that. >> All right, Chelsea. Here's going to happen. They're They're giving you your money back. Okay, you don't have to do anything. They're going to do that on their end. But to get you a flight now, you have to get back on the tram and head back to the terminal. >> Why would y'all do that to me? I didn't do nothing to nobody. That's not fair. I didn't do nothing to y'all. Why would y'all do that? The only reason why I was drinking because my flight was delayed and I said >> despite being told that staying is not an option. She refuses to leave. >> But y'all making me mad right now. I didn't want to be mad as I was drinking. I didn't want to be married. I understand. >> I didn't want to be mad. What's the point? But y'all making me mad. Look what y'all doing. >> That's what I was trying to stay away from. But I had no other choice cuz that's what the but look how yall treating me right now. It's not fair. >> Okay. All right. Shel. So, are are you going to go back to the terminal? >> I don't know if I'm supposed to be gone. >> You have to to to get another ticket. >> Hey, somebody want to give me a refund and I can't get on my flight. And I was right here with Tink and Renee. I had a few drinks at the bar, but I'm not that drunk. They trying to tell me they know how I feel. >> How can they tell you they know how you feel? They rebirthize you, man. All right, Chelsea. So, here's all you got to do. >> Either way, >> I understand that. >> I'm trying to help. I'm trying to help you. >> You're not trying to help me. >> Listen, you you keep you get you get frustrated, Chelsea, and then you and then you you hurl an insult. All right. >> I'm trying to help you >> and and the insults are not uh they're not helping you. All right. >> You me by not letting me on a flight. So, it's the same difference. >> I'm trying to help you figure out how to get another flight. trying to help me. This dude was trying to help me to make sure I got home when the flash was supposed to be on. So, you're not trying to help. >> I don't have any authority for that. Okay. >> No, I'm not holding you back. Okay. I'm I'm just helping you now. That's it. Just helping you. >> They told me I can't get on the phone. >> They made me for hours. That was what I wanted to do. My sister. >> Sure. Hi, Tanya. This is Officer Ramona for Lo Police Department. No, only y'all forced me to see it. >> Officers explained that her continued presence violates airport rules and ask her multiple times to move to the public terminal area. She continues to argue, shout, and refuses to comply. >> Yeah, I figured as much. >> I want to go this morning. >> Right, Tanya? Mhm. I understand that. >> I was visibly something like that. Okay. So, so Tanya, let me explain. Let's just explain to you. So, I work for the Orlando Police Department. I I am not a representative of Southwest Airlines, but they've made the decision to not let her fly. And so, now all she has to do is she has to go back to the terminal, let time kind of sober her up a little bit, and then she can book the next flight to Lagoria >> with any airline she wants, but Southwest can book another flight. >> That's right. But the only problem is she's like a little like disorderly kind of right now and she doesn't want to just go to the terminal. If you could try to get her to just go to the terminal, she could kind of sober up and then get a flight with any other airline >> and they they're going to refund her the money. >> What do they refund the money? >> Yes, I think they already did. >> I didn't. >> So, all she has to do is go to the terminal. >> I didn't. >> All right. Here you go. >> I don't know. >> It's your sister. She wants to talk to you here. Let her sister do that. See your sister. I got to win this. I could have been winning this something though to get home. I've been saying for hours. That's not fair. >> Can you listen to what Can you listen to what your sister saying? >> We need you to go to the terminal. >> Suck my suck my Oh, y can suck my >> Okay, Chelsea, just just go to the terminal. >> I'll I'll help see her out. You guys are good. >> We got almost the whole plane on. >> Thank you for being here. >> Oh, yeah. No problem, guys. Hey, Chelsea. Chelsea, >> I don't like this. I do nothing. No way. I don't like it. >> Chelsea, can you do me >> this? >> Chelsea, can you do me a favor? Can you roll with me to the to the main terminal? You can't hang out here. >> The officer does everything possible to assist her, but she continues to respond like this. >> Do you leave me alone? >> Yes, I will. Chelsea, I want to leave you alone. I just need you. trying to fix something was in my family. You >> cancel my >> Chelsea, I just need you to get on the other side of TSA. >> Hello. >> Now, another guy is following me around trying to ball. >> Chelsea, I will just leave you alone. >> He's trying to ball. >> Yeah, follow me. >> For what though? >> Follow me, Chelsea. We We'll roll out together. >> Chelsea, I'll race you. Chelsea, let's just let's just roll our little wheels to the other side of TSA. Okay, >> cuz this is a secured area. I got to have you on the other side of TSA and then I promise you I will leave you alone. >> Can you leave me alone? >> I will leave you alone. We just have to get on the other side of security. >> I'm sorry. 180. >> I'm trying to find a solution. >> Yes. I I could help you with that. >> I don't want to deal with being random. >> Do you want me to help you >> be the same way?
