on october 10 2021 monroe county
sheriff's deputies responded to a
disturbance call in sparta wisconsin the
caller reported that her 29 year old
boyfriend chris scantland was destroying
her place and dumping beer on her she
also mentioned that he had a warrant for
his arrest out in michigan
after some time chris drove the female's
white ford f-150 and the deputy happened
to pass him the deputy attempted to
conduct a traffic stop however chris
began to accelerate
he
as the deputy was in pursuit chris drove
erratically swerving in and out of other
traffic and eventually entering into a
field

the vehicle was later located in a river
which had significant damage but chris
was not inside are we gonna be able to
drive down there

this is where he went through right

he went that way but then they seen him
go back across to this bean field here
okay so i was i was standing over there
and uh so he come up so he come down
this way i watched him fly off the road

and i watched him come down
and he went back that way jumped back on
the road between the light and the
behind the line of cars go ahead but
then he got stuck behind that green card
that was pulling the farm up there he
turned around
coming down here
so he went that way where did he go
right now we can figure out where he
went later he's got to be down here in
the bean field

it's crashed into the creek here just to

observed his speech to be slurred

domestic and out-of-state warmth you
know kind of past that dude
i didn't mean to run i just i wasn't
