Behind the wheel, these drivers hoped officers wouldn't look too closely, but it didn't take long for the truth to slip out. Here are five cases when traffic stops for a minor violation led to a crazy discovery. Number five. Police pull over a man who somehow didn't notice his tire was missing. On April 25th, 2023, officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving on the highway with a flat tire. At first, officers assume it's just another impaired driver. However, they were about to find out this case was anything but typical. Dude, you got to get off the road. You can't keep driving on a flat tire. I'm trying to get behind you on the left side. >> Okay, Abby, you're trying to go around this way. I got to get you safely over there so we can get you off the road and get you some help, okay? Let me stop Let me stop traffic in the right lane so I can get you over there, okay? Okay, over that way then. All the way over. All the way over, onto the shoulder. You got to get on the shoulder. You can't keep driving on that rim. You got to get off to the shoulder. You can't keep driving on that rim. You're just doing more damage and you're slowing traffic down. On the right shoulder. 550. 550. Can you change this to a signal 12? Driving westbound on the on the rim of the vehicle. Um for some reason doesn't want to pull over. I don't know if he's involved with a signal three here. What's going on? Stop your vehicle. Did you vomit on yourself? Yes. Sir? Come over here. Get that off. Well, it looks like you urinated. That's correct. What's that? Why is your crotch region wet? It's not. Yes, it is. It's Look. It's And that's not a wet crotch region, sir. So, what am I seeing then? You're not seeing anything. That doesn't make any sense. What happened to your car? Why don't you have a tire? I do have a tire. I'm trying to get home with my flat tire. No, what I'm telling you is the front of your vehicle does not have a tire on it. Were you unaware that the front of your vehicle does not have a tire? I'm getting home on the tire that I need to have. It's obvious he's intoxicated, but that doesn't stop him from arguing, and getting him to see the reality of the situation is a struggle. There's a tire on there? That's not it. What do you mean that's not it? I'm going to get home on this like your rim. Yes, sir. You're going to drive on the highway on your rim? >> I'm currently doing so. Not well. Who's that with you in the car? I'm getting home. Who is that in the car with you? He's a gentleman getting home with me. What? He's a gentleman getting home with me. A gentleman? My son getting home with me. How old is your son? He's 10. Okay. So, why are you putting your son's life in jeopardy? He's not in jeopardy. He's with me getting home. Not well. You're driving on the highway without a tire. That's not safe. We have four tires. I just showed you a picture of your vehicle without one tire. I don't agree with you. Come over here. Come on. That's not safe. Right over here. That's not safe. Oh, so you don't want to take a look at it? To get that close to the road? Are you No. You forced me to get close over there. I No, I didn't force you to get close over there because you were pulling into the roadway. Because I grabbed your shoulders. I put you into the road. You're saying I put you into the road. >> You did because you tried to drive off. That's what happened when I pulled up. I'm I'm mistaken. Do you have your driver's license with you? Well, of course. Where were you coming from? Where I was coming from is from Princeton. Okay. Where on Princeton? From Princeton. From What location? Princeton. What the officers didn't realize at first was that a child was in the car quietly watching everything unfold, waiting to see what would happen to his father. What's your confusion, sir? What location were you coming from? Were you coming from your house, a friend's house, a business, a restaurant, a gas station? My house on Princeton. So, you weren't coming from your house. What's your confusion? Can you just tell me if you were coming from your house or not? I was coming from my house on Princeton. Okay, that was very difficult. All right. Now, where are you headed? Well, I'm currently heading east. Where? What's the destination? I'm heading east to pick up my son. Is that your son? No, sir. A different son? Hey, buddy, can you stay in the car? Hey, no, I love him, okay? You're okay. What's going on? I love you. Awesome. Stay in the car. Sir, you don't tell me what to say to my son. >> You're okay? Everything's all right? I love him, okay? I'm going to kill Okay. You're allowed Okay, you're all right? You're physically okay? No, I I can't know. Close the door. Sir, how dare you grab my son? I'm a scoundrel. Get the kid. What is happening? What is happening? Do you have an explanation? No, you're going to cuff me. Oh, well. Don't worry, buddy. They don't have anything to hold me on. All right, I'm going to have you right here. Come over here. You're going to have to drag me. No, you're going to have to drag me. Okay, what am I doing Sir, drag me. What am I doing wrong? Roll over on your butt. Roll over on your butt. >> You have to tell me what I'm doing wrong. >> Roll over on Drunk and uncooperative, the man refuses to move, forcing officers to carry him to the cruiser as he uses his own body as dead weight. >> Am I doing anything wrong? Sit up. Am I doing anything wrong? Yep. Hey, that's what I'm calling you. You're not a pig. Sit up. Prove to me that I'm not a scoundrel. Well, how am I not a scoundrel, sir? You're putting me in your pig car because I'm doing what wrong? What am I doing wrong? >> to sit up or not? I'm doing what wrong, sir? >> go in the back of the car. Are you going to do it on your own or are we going to put you in there? What are my rights? What's your option? What are my rights? What are my rights? You're under arrest. What are my rights? My rights are >> two options. Get in the car on your own or have us put you in there. Which one do you choose? It's very simple. We can very easily put you in the back seat of the car. We would hope that you would put yourself in the back seat of the car. Those are your two options. What are you going to do, sir? What are my rights? You have two options. Which one do you choose? >> You tell me your rights. Sir. Good job, your legs. You're not going to go in the back seat of the car. My rights are what? My rights are what? What are my rights? What are my rights? I have rights. I don't have rights. I don't have rights. There you go. I don't have rights. What are my rights? Go ahead. What are my rights? Do I have rights? What are my rights? >> You need to start acting right now. >> my rights? Don't kick. What are my rights? No one's kicking. I'm asking for rights. >> All right, close the door. My rights are uh nonexistent. What are my rights? He's not going to He's not going to let us uh Do I have rights? Do I have rights? Are you going to sit down correctly or not? What are my rights? What are my rights? >> You're under arrest. We are depriving you of your rights. We are depriving you of your civil liberties. You are under arrest. For what reason? What have I done? DUI. I >> Driving under suspicion of driving under the influence. Well, I mean, that's a not If you do not sit up, we will close this car. I have rights. What? As the scene settles, officers turn their attention to the vehicle to check for anything concerning and to ensure the child is okay. Where is he? Hey, buddy. Where is he? He's He's in the police car, sir. He's safe, okay? So, he's not on the side of the road. It's dangerous to be out here on the side of the road. Where is my buddy? He's not He's not going to They're not doing everything they can to get hurt, okay? Hey, buddy. Let me ask you a question. Who is that to you? That's What is what is He's your dad? He's your dad? Yes. Do you have any contact to your mom? Yes. Do you mind if I call your mom? Do you know your mom's phone number? Here. What's your mom's phone number, buddy? You can call her? He doesn't live with her mom, but He doesn't live with Okay, you got to leave him That's okay. He doesn't have any money. I just Okay, I got to talk to your mom, all right? Please. Okay. It's okay. It's okay. Officers asked the child to contact his mother in hope she can pick him up, but before arranging that, they need to clarify the father's relationship with her. Is your Is your You have any type of relationship with the child's mother? I'm sorry. You're talking about his mother? >> Yes. We are in good Okay. What What Are you going to listen to her or would you rather listen to me? Your hands are going back behind your back, okay? I'm telling you that now. There's no debating that fact. Your hands are going back behind your back and you're going to jail per policy the way we need to. So, I'm asking you Is it Would it help if she talks you into this or do we have to do it? I haven't done anything wrong. >> That is a a moot point at this point. That's between you and the judge. >> Oh. >> You're under arrest. Because >> You're not to cooperate. All right? You're under arrest. >> Because >> Because you're under arrest. You broke the law. You violated the law. So, are you going to put your hands behind your back? You're going to put your hands behind your back or not? What are my Miranda rights, Mr. Bragg? What are my Miranda rights? >> I'm not asking you questions about the crime you committed. >> I am asking you questions about my Well, last I checked, sir, you're not a police officer. So, are you going to put your hands behind your back? >> You're a police officer and I'm asking you what my rights are and I'm within my rights. What my Miranda rights are, Sergeant You need to put your hands behind your back. >> Because Why? What does Miranda say? Okay, so make sure you get everybody's info. Sergeant Bragg, what are my Miranda rights? What are my Miranda rights? >> I'm not asking you questions about your crime. I'm telling you that you need to put your hands behind your back. What are my Miranda rights? I'm telling you that you need to put your hands behind your back. >> What are my Miranda rights? You're failing to understand the question I'm asking, Sergeant Bragg. What are my Miranda rights? No questioning has taken place, so there's no legal need to Mirandize him. However, it's the one thing the man is so fixated on. Do I have the right to remain silent? You don't know, Sergeant Bragg. That's what's most infuriating to me. So, what are my rights? What are my rights? So, in a minute, you're going to be coming out taking out of the car and you're going to be put back in a pair of rip hobbles and you're going to be put in a car. What are my rights? What are my rights? >> We're not talking about your rights. >> Sir, you can't not talk about my rights if you're going to arrest me, sir. Oh, it's not how it works? What are my rights? Sergeant R. Bragg of the Orlando Police Department What are my rights? >> about your rights. You're under arrest right now. Oh, when I'm under arrest, what are my rights? I have rights when I'm under arrest. What are they? You're under arrest. What are my rights? Do not get out of the car. I want to take your rights. Oh, excuse me. What are my rights when I'm being arrested, Sergeant Bragg? That's an easy question. Do you want me to tell them to you? I'll tell you. I don't need to read them. I'm not asking you questions. I'm asking you questions. You're You're failing to give me the answer to that question. Sergeant Bragg, what are my rights as a person being arrested? You have the right to The right to remain silent? You can take up those rights with your attorney. >> You have to tell them to me. I don't. Uh you don't have to Mirandize me. You do not have to Mirandize me. You don't have to Mirandize me. Sergeant R. Bragg Sir, I'm going to remember you said Sergeant R. Bragg said we don't have to Mirandize you. >> I'm not questioning you right now about a crime. You don't need to be Mirandized, Mark. Because why? Because I'm not questioning about a crime. Well, okay, then why am I being arrested? >> reason I'm here is because you you keep slipping your cuffs around the front and it's our policy you have to go to the jail You're not telling me why I have to do this. Step on out so we can put you Sir, I demand my Miranda rights. Tell me my Miranda rights, Sergeant R. Bragg. You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand that? Anything you Anything you say may be used against you in court. >> Sergeant Bragg, you have to say this to me. They've addressed his demands. Now it's time for him to stop talking and start paying attention. Sergeant Bragg is not Mirandizing me. He is aggressing Put your hands behind your back. >> hurting me. against this wall. Sergeant Bragg is not Mirandizing me. All right, stop resisting. Cooperate. I'm not resisting. You're failing to address me. I'm asking you to Mirandize me and you are shoving me against the wall. You I mean like I asked him to do it and he and you both you don't I mean you're under arrest. For what? >> Not suspicion of DUI. DUI. There's probable cause to arrest you for DUI. That's why you're in custody. Under what? Like can you explain it to me? >> 316.193 sub one. Also child neglect and resisting without violence. None of that makes any sense to me. >> That's okay. It doesn't have to. I mean he refused to Mirandize me. You'll be able to get a lawyer after this is done. >> I don't think that's the case I'm going for. I think you're all pigs. I think none of you want to hear your opinion. You are not going to let me get a lawyer. Not a single one of you. Do I weigh him down? You know, you don't have to pick me up like a body of a pig. You're going to? You're all pigs. Be pigs. Thanks. Yep, this is what pigs do. I mean if you weren't pigs, you would do it differently. Do you have an explanation for why you're not pigs? Of course not. Why aren't you not pigs? Because you have force over me? A little bit tighter? Yeah. No, because we're going to get him out now and put him in a seat belt. Yeah. Yeah, he was before. I don't know. I'll try on this side. I'll go around. A later search of the vehicle revealed multiple empty beer cans within arm's reach of the driver. Moreover, the man's level of intoxication was confirmed at the station where a breathalyzer showed a BAC of .180. All right. Cool. All right, do you got your camera in your car, all right? Just turn him on his side. Go on that way? This hurts. I'm being abused. You don't care. You're pigs. None of you care. You're pigs. You're okay. You're pigs. Okay, you're entitled to your opinion. My opinion is correct. I am wrong. The child was released to his mother soon after the scene was secured. As for the driver, he was charged with DUI with a minor present, resisting an officer without violence, and child neglect. Number four. When a mechanic's story doesn't match what officers discover in his car, this next case takes us to Monroe County, Florida where officers stopped a vehicle after receiving a report of a couple involved in a physical altercation. Here's how it unfolded. >> Hey, I seen it. I looked down and I knew I was speeding. I'm sorry. I didn't even realize that. >> Where you guys coming from? I was coming out of the store right there. Okay, where were you guys at before the store? I just went to that store from the racetrack down there. I bought a drink and it got knocked over when we were leaving. All right, go ahead and step step out the car. Just going to walk over here by my my car real quick, okay? Can I take my purse with me? Just leave it in there. It's going to be quite We're just saying that you That's right. You can do that there. What's your name? I'm sorry. Okay. Are you guys Where are you guys coming from? Again, okay. Where at? Okay, so you guys were at Far Blanco. Okay, cuz we got a call about you guys. That you guys were getting physical with each other. So, Were you guys getting physical? Nobody was getting physical? Okay. 50 to 10, it is going to be one in the same. Okay, cuz we got a call from somebody saying that they observed you guys getting physical with each other. Were you guys in some sort of argument or discussion? >> I was annoyed, but we weren't arguing or fighting. Who is he to you? He's my fiance. Okay. So, why would somebody call in and say that they observed you guys getting physical? You didn't put your hands on him at any point in time? >> No. Did he put his hands on you in Why Why'd you get annoyed? Because we were supposed to get a hotel and he booked a king-size and they didn't have it. So, now he had to sit there and call the Expedia to refund the king-size so we could have a room to stay cuz our boat has roaches on it and I'm pissed off because the boat has roaches. Okay. All right, so he never put his hands on you or nothing like that? The woman's side of the conversation is calm and cooperative. But when officers turn to the driver, things don't go as smoothly. Hello. That Tell me the time. There's a beer that got spilled in my car. I know it stinks. Yeah, it don't really smell like beer though. Is the vehicle registered to you? Uh it's registered to my wife, Ricky. What's it smell like? Can I smell it? Man, I got a medical license and [ __ ] >> a medical license? Can you verify that? Yeah, I can show you right here on the phone. Thank you. Yeah, that's not a Yeah, I didn't think I was going crazy, you know. I was just like I don't know if that's what it was. I was like here. 100% but no, I haven't smoked in a while. I just have a here from where I smoked earlier today. Okay. >> Somewhere in here. Yeah, it has to be in its proper container. >> earlier today. It's wet and everything, man. I didn't want to put it in my container cuz it would get wet. All right, do you have the physical card on you? >> No, but I have it here on my phone. I can pull it up on the website. >> the physical card on you. Okay. You said the card is registered to the lady over here. >> to my wife. Okay. How long have y'all been together? Uh for a while. For a while? What what's a while? >> Over a year. Over a year, nice. >> Yeah, yeah. We just got engaged in March, you piece of work. Oh, nice. That's it. You guys had the the wedding already? >> No, we haven't had the wedding yet, but she's I still always call her my wife. >> Got you. So, fiance. All right, no worries. Just got to let everything's good. Cool. Do you have any other vehicle besides the joint? >> All right. Just the joint. Listen, man. This is all like my luggage. I got a boat right here. We're good, man. It's not going to get wet. >> I understand, you know. But listen, my main my main concern is that the joint has to be properly enclosed. >> Here, I'll throw it away. Like it's not a prize. The joint Don't Leave Leave it where it was, please. Don't touch it. Okay. The joint has to be properly enclosed in a in in its correct container. That's one of the requirements when having a medical Oh, that's what it was. I'm sorry. So, that's that's part of the requirement of having a medical license, okay? So, that's why I'm asking if there's anything else in the car cuz now I have to check everything, make sure that there's nothing else outside of the container. I have probable cause to check the car regardless if you have a medical Okay, that's fine. The man remains calm and gives officers permission to search the vehicle, assuring them there's nothing illegal inside. But that's for them to confirm. I have a lot of clothes and everything in here. I understand, man. I I don't want I don't want to take up any of your time, stuff like that. But you have to understand, you know, it's part of our job. Is there anything else I'm going to find in the vehicle besides besides the joint? No, sir. Nothing else? >> No, sir. No, sir. Large amounts of cash? Um I have some cash in my bag. How about how much? 10,000? Uh probably about 11 or 12 cuz I'm trying to buy a boat down here, guys. 10,000 dollars? >> Yes, sir. Okay. Uh any other No, sir. You said All right. All I want to do is If you could just step out with my partner real quick. He's just going to pat you down for weapons real fast, all right? I know you said you had none, but you give you a quick pat down. You just kind of want to hang out right here by the tire. >> Yes, sir. No, sir. No problem. Let's have a quick conversation, all right? You got it. Why are you texting? What's going on? Because we were just in a situation at the hotel because I booked a room for a king suite and then they told me that they didn't have a king suite after I already paid $300 for the night for the room. They told me they don't have my room. They want to put me in another room and then still want to charge me the same rate. I'm not I don't agree with that. So, I was So, I was telling her I was trying to cancel it and she was and she we she got upset. And I told her to calm down and then you know how it's like when you tell a woman to calm down? It's the exact opposite of what happened. So, I was sitting there trying to do it and I had a drink that I had purchased at the racetrack cuz I didn't plan on driving and I started to drink it sitting there in the car while I was trying to cancel my room and I tasked her to book another room. Well, she wanted the car to start, but instead of asking me to start the car, she stuck her leg over the center console and hit the brake and hit the start button. But when she did, the beer that was in the center console crushed the can and it spilled all in the car. Like I didn't even get a sip out of the beer. That sucks. With consent given, one officer conducts a search. Uh check. He's got lots of cash. Huh? He has a lot of cash. Yeah, they got like rolls. This is another 2,000 roll. I got this sticker. Yeah, he said he told me he has about 13,000 dollars in the car in total. >> buy a boat or something. Yeah. Very weird. [Applause] He said he's going to get a body shot in his backpack. Yeah. >> Find it already? No, we're we're kind of doing a systematic Yes. >> you. Here you go. All right, so hold on. So, we're looking at that back seat. Back seat right here. >> Passenger side. Front second to smallest pocket. All right. I'll take that to start field testing it. Thank you. Thank you. Actually, you know what? Give me that wallet. Okay. I got it. I'll just Do you mind if I take this one this one or vice versa? Yeah, you want to take the one that's open? They don't want to actually die. They don't? >> No. Okay. I thought I said extra dry. I don't know where. Um I don't know what town it was. Boring. He has uh field test positive for residue on the bill, so take part of everything. Huh? We're going to I'm ripping everything out. All right, no worries. Officers uncover thousands in cash, some of it laced with what appears to be an illegal substance. With that, they move in to confront both the driver and the woman. I have to pay my money. I have to So, if you wouldn't take it. Take what? My money. Whose money? My money. Where is your money at? It's apparently over there. We have to go to Citibank. Okay. >> lot of bills I can show you that we're going to pay the bills. How about the How about the money that's got on it? Is that yours? Oh, that's different money. No, they have money or not. That's not bill money. 20 dollar bill he had inside of his pocket inside of his uh See? He's saying it's his. He's saying it's his. He says it's his. Can you show the male in custody and show the female fancy. [Applause] I'm going to go ahead and secure this right quick, okay? I'm not done searching that. Give me a second. Huh? The Yeah, he said it is. So, I'm going to just go ahead and um Calm down for a second. Yep. Ma'am, go walk on the sidewalk, not in the street, please. She's back. Yeah. All right. Um Uh please can uh I'm sorry. Can you Can you give me a little bit of light here, please? No, no, no. Just Move it into the parking lot, please. Huh? I'm doing it inside. Officers tried to get answers about the cash before heading out. But with every explanation, the man only raises more red flags. Yes, so according to this gentleman, him and her both um pulled together from family members. 32, was it? >> Well, I had 14 for mine and then the rest she borrowed from her aunt. Yes. So, how much was the rest? Uh 32 18 32 total and he got 14. >> 14. So, 18 came from her family. How did you guys physically >> get it? On March 7th, 2021, a routine patrol stop begins after an officer spots a man speeding. However, this traffic stop wouldn't be just another ticket. >> Cuz I'm stopping you right now for your speed, man. >> speeding. I I was hitting the brakes to go around the car, sir. Sir, when we were coming down there, we were doing >> you when you was at the store. I wasn't at the store. I thought you was at the store, sir. I wasn't at the store though. I I picked you up on Ohio. >> to god, I saw you right there at the store. >> Listen, we can argue about it all day, but the thing is we were doing way over 30 mph coming down here. I wasn't even speeding. Yes, we were, sir. That's why I'm stopping you. When I saw you go by, I could tell that you were at a high rate of speed. And then when I was behind you, we were going at a high rate of speed. >> go around the white car, sir. I'm Okay, that Hitting your brakes doesn't mean that you weren't speeding. Do you have your driver's license? It's on me. I'm going to go take somebody some food. You're going to what? Take somebody some food. What, are you working for Uber Eats? No, I'm going to take a girlfriend food. That's all. Okay. I have a lot of licensing that I kept. Here you go. Stand by for me. It's for expired registration, too. What When did it expire? January 6th. Last year? This year. Sir, is your birthday the 6th of January? No, it's the 5th. It's the 5th? Okay. Well, your registration is expired now. No, sir. Yes, sir. I can show you. And our system is showing that it's expired as well. So, you're going to need to go down to the DMV. You got the right sticker. I see it. Yes. But I don't know why, but it's saying that you have expired registration. See it? Yeah, I see it. I can see the blue sticker on there, but it says that it's expired right now. I don't know why. I I I I got you. Sometimes this computer messes up, but I'm making you aware so you can call the DMV, okay? Okay. Give me a second. I don't know how you say I was speeding when I went around the >> Sir, when we were when we were coming down this road, we were hitting 45 mph. The speed limit here is 30. I looked at my speedometer, it said 20. It did not say 20, man. I promise you. >> There's no way it said 20. >> Did Did you not see that white car go around me? Op- The white car you had to go around. I'm I'm talking way before that. I picked you up on Ohio. What started as a speeding stop escalates the moment the officer learns the man is a felon and then sees a holster in plain sight. Things go downhill from here. On Ohio, I just went over a speed bump on that on that street right there. There's no speed bumps on any of these roads down here. You know what I'm saying? If you go down this street, there's a street back there that has speed bumps for me to get in. I didn't go down any main street. I went down like a street back there. I picked you up at Ohio and Mississippi. I saw you blow by. I turned onto on Mississippi. I got behind you. I promise you, sir. Like I never even went up this street to come here. Okay, man. Listen, I'm not writing you a ticket or anything for it. But right now, this is why I pulled you over. You can argue about it all day and forth. All right? You need to relax. I I relax, bro. Is he a convicted felon? Mhm. Yeah? Why? There's a holster right there. Man, I'm pretty sure unless he did some kind of thing, but he already got possession of firearm by convicted felon. All right, man. Let me ask you some questions real quick. Mhm. What is this holster to? Oh, that's uh my friend's holster. Your friend's holster? >> Yes. Okay. Right now, you're a convicted felon and you've had that past charge. Is there any guns in this car? No. All right. Well, I need to step out. All right. Don't reach anything. >> to pee. Don't reach anything. >> to pee, sir. Okay, step out for me. I have to pee. Don't reach for anything. CS52 Bomber, he's East on Mississippi. East on Mississippi. Still going East on Mississippi. Took off. Just took a southbound turn all the way down. Uh might have been Maryland. Warrants. He had a holster in his door and he is a convicted felon and did not want to get out of the car to let us search it. Hey, let's go. He just went back. I just saw him. Where? He was right there. Kia Forte First of the tag was RXA. With his ID still in the officer's hand, the man drives off. It's a bold move, and given his criminal history, officers believe he's trying to ditch the gun. Do we still have his ID? Yep. Nice. I think he went that Went south? Yeah. Go right. Yep. Might be south on Penn. We're not sure. We We think We're just trying to chase him. White Saturn moving fast. I think we saw it head up towards Penn. I'm on primary. Well, we got his ID. I'm going to write the report and then when we come back, I'll swear out warrants for him. Little tidbit, if you look on his Phoenix, the last time he was arrested for a firearm by convicted felon, he was also arrested for fleeing to elude. Is that him? Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> I'm about to get on the ground. Get I'm getting on the ground, sir. Well, we just found him at Vermont and Ohio. Don't know where his car is. Where's your car? Where's your car? Stay right there. I'm on the ground like You You already not lying to me already. That's why I I wrote off. That's why you wrote off, not the holster in your car? You lied to me. Lied about what, bro? I would never speed. >> You were hauling down Massachusetts, dude. 10-4, we have the suspect. And so you flee from a traffic stop? Come on, yeah. Fleeing to elude does not help you. Pull over. It's up there? Yeah, he's got the keys. Stand right here. [Music] I'm telling you what to do. Just listen, okay? I don't know. Apparently you like to run, so I like to make sure you're not going anywhere. I don't trust you now. You're the one that likes to run. Okay, man. That's fine. The car's right up there. Yeah, he has his keys. For someone already carrying a record, this was the last thing he needed. And now, the consequences are stacking up. Wow. You just fled from a traffic stop, bro. You know you left your ID with us? Yeah, I know that. All the dirt going on. That's not a lie. Okay. Pull me over right away. What do you mean? I pulled you over. Cuz we ran your registration. Yo. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. On our system, I'll show you. It shows that it it is expired. Not right now. Right now, we're just going to get everything, get him, get get that. He's going to get fleeing to elude. Hey Duarte, the holster's gone. Yeah, 10-4. He probably tossed it. He's literally He was walking right down there. He was walking north on Ohio as from that intersection. He ditched his car and started walking. So we stopped him for the speed for At this point the glove box is open, too. At this point close it, tow it, type. Okay. He must have ditched the holster and whatever else he had on him, too. As soon as Duarte asked him to get out of the car cuz he had a holster and he's a convicted felon, he took off. Hey Duarte, we're towing the car and getting a search warrant. He was walking up from wherever the car is. He was going right here. But when I got eyes on him, he he he couldn't have tossed anything. Hey Zane, check just check these bushes on each side and whatnot. Cuz that holster he had's gone. And I don't know what else it was that was under his If you knew you weren't speeding, why'd you run then? Why'd you run then? Why did None of the man's explanations holds water, and the officers aren't interested in hearing more. It's time to move forward with charges. I'm going to hit him with everything. Oh, yeah. You want me to write citations or AMVs? Two AMVs. I'll do the citations. He did it on yesterday or the one night. And I can figure Okay, you had to pee. Well, you shouldn't have ran. You'd be going home right now. You pee in the car? You going to pee all over yourself, man. That's what's up. You going to pee on yourself? That's the type of man you are. Okay. No one lied to you. Your registration was expired. Those are two different things. Well, you need to contact the Georgia DMV then, dude. I said 2020. Let's I'm looking right now. [Music] The paper you showed me. Okay, but in our system Okay. Did I know that prior to pulling you over? No. I didn't know that prior to pulling you over. I only have what's to me. We can argue about it all day like we did at the stop, but then you decided to run. So this is all on you, not on me, bro. Okay, cool. You smell alcohol? You want to smell like alcohol in here? Move it. That's your brother? Yes. Okay. A few minutes later, a woman arrives claiming she's related to the man now in custody. He's going to jail. He ran from us. In the car, and then we're going to tow the car and get a search warrant for it. Can you give me my niece's tablet out there? He just left my house like 30 minutes ago. Your niece's tablet? Unfortunately Unfortunately Like literally just left my house. You should be familiar with me. Uh Six Altman. Six Altman. Okay, I got you. Literally left here like 30 minutes ago. I understand. So unfortunately right now, until we get a search warrant uh signed by the judge, no one can go inside that car, okay? Not even me. She wants to get a tablet. Unless you're okay with us going in there and getting the tablet, that's what I'm saying. We're We have to wait until the for the search warrant to be completed. I hate to do that to you, but we got to finish all that before everything else. Fleeing to elude. It's a felony arrest cuz we had him I was standing right by him. He decided to lay drag, take off, and fly down Mississippi. Okay? [Music] Yep. Hold it just a second, man. We're about to go to the precinct so I can let you pee, okay? One more officer joins the scene, and he's quickly briefed on how things escalated to this point. I'm up at the door, and the whole time I'm there, his door is open, right? And I seen the the handle, the uh holster. So Stall tells me that it's expired. He still argues steady arguing with me that it's not expired, steady arguing that he wasn't speeding. I was like, all right, man, that's cool. Listen, I'm not going to write you a citation or anything. Just give me a second. Let it Let us run your information. And he's still steady just arguing with me. So then I finally go back to Stall. I'm like, is he a convicted felon? She goes, yeah, he's been charged with uh discharging a firearm by convicted felon I think at least one time. So I go up. I asked him. I was like, hey, man, what's that holster doing in your car? I should have got him out. You suck at poker, bro. I know. Okay. So he he panicked. He knew you were on to him. As soon as I asked him, I was like, hey, man, so is there any guns in the car? No, no, no. Well, I'm going to need you to step out. I was like, please don't reach. Please don't reach. And then womp womp. Okay. So I'm hitting him with speeding cuz I paced him when we were coming down whatchamacallit. Expired registration until they can prove that his registration is expired. Laying drag. Cuz he In our system, it says that it's expired, but he has the blue little ticket thing right there. That's 21. In our system, it says it's expired at 20. Says it's expired? Yeah. Cuz it expired Ah, I got you. It is expired. Got you. Yep, he's on 22 now. Yep. Okay, so he's he is expired. Does he have insurance? He has insurance. I'm going to hit him with laying drag and reckless driving and fleeing to elude. Okay. And Yep. All right. Let me get him to the precinct before you piss in the back of my car cuz Executing search warrant for CRN 210306096. In the end, the man was charged with firearm possession, fleeing and eluding, and several traffic violations. Number one. When getting caught with a minor leads to excuses no one believes. On April 5th, 2023, officers respond to a troubling call. A 14-year-old girl is reportedly meeting with an adult male. Before they can drive off, police step in to stop whatever's about to unfold. I was arguing. They told me he was 18. Oh, hi you guys. How are you? Nice seeing you again. >> You made your own decisions that day. We're here for for what's going on today. So what's the matter? Okay, so when I pulled up, bro, my brother said he was 17. My my sister's 14. Drive her out like when I pulled up, it was weird because I swear when I pulled up, they just drove off. Like they just took off. They're literally in the back of I have them blocked in my car. Like what? Is that your brother? Yeah, my my grandma didn't know she left. Like nobody knew she left. That That's That's my fault. I I heard he was 16 years old. That is all my fault. Okay. Prior to this interaction, have you met with him before? Do you know who the kid is? No, I don't know. I don't know what I've met with him. Is mom here? Is mom ain't here. No, Loretta. Yeah. And if she don't care what her daughter's doing or son or whoever it is, then it don't really matter. No, but listen, when I pulled up, yo, they said I mean, he's 16, she's 14. I mean >> They're kids. Both of them. And as long as mom's okay with it, then I'm just saying they just said he like I just said he was 16. >> over 18, Yes. just saying when pulled over and they drove away so fast I'm like bro that scared me like Were they in the backyard? Yeah, they were in the backyard. I just want to do like a wellness check next to the guy because that's weird. They're in that car right there, sir. Yep, I see them. Hello. What's going on? The girl's mother claims the man is just 16, but once the officer approaches the car it becomes clear that's far from the truth. Are you Travis? Yes. You got any identification on you, sir? We were going on a drive just friends and nothing else. He's My mom knows we're just friends and and Were you allowed to go out tonight? >> Yes, my mom knew. Your mom knew? Yes. Yeah, just I don't feel safe with Well, you're with me. She's not going to run up on me. Look at him, he's a Yeah, go check on Go check on me, ma. Go check on me, ma. Yes, she's right here. All right. Why are you so concerned about homeboy going to jail? The teen is struggling to find the words, but if this is going to be sorted out she needs to speak up. I don't know how to explain this. Just explain however you can and I'll try to figure it out. >> He's 20 and We're not dating. Mom knows we're just friends. No, I said you asked and we said no. I said no. Be honest, are you? I mean Be honest. I'm not going to do anything. You just got to tell me if you're honest or not because You just got to be honest. That's all it is. He's never honest with me. Get in trouble. Now, you're you're right? honest Yeah, what should we do? I'm going to go to jail. Why are you going to go to jail if you're being honest with me? Okay. For a month you said and you're 16? No, 14. Well, that's good. She's only 14 and while she may not understand everything she knows enough to stay quiet. However, the officer knows exactly how to get her to speak up. Well, you want to put him in jail? And it depends on what you guys were doing tonight. reckless driving All right, well He's not reckless driving now so it doesn't matter. We're not What were we talking about? wrong person >> said he's putting I don't I didn't Did I? No. You said he's You keep mentioning jail and jail has never come out of any of our mouths. What is she to you? What is that? What is she to you? She's my friend. She's your friend? Okay. Your girlfriend or something? No, she's just a friend. So, if I go over there and talk to her she's going She's telling us the same thing that you guys are just friends? I mean I need I just need you to be honest. With you being honest with us We'll go first sign out, buddy. If I go over there and she tells me you're her boyfriend then you know how can we work things out? So, I need you to No, we're just friends. You guys are just friends? Yes. Or you're lying. Like I said before, dude. You didn't drive her down from Ocala to hang out with your friend. You're her girlfriend. Not my girlfriend. So, are we going to start telling the truth or we going to keep on lying? You lied about your status with her. You lied about her age. I got you. You lied about your reason for being here. You lied about her Just be honest. Just I mean You You're honest with us well, we can you know we can see what's what's going on. Just be completely honest and we can whether there's nothing then we can resolve it or whatever the case may be, but with you not being honest with us it just makes you look look worse. So, just Well, she told me she was 18 before. Okay, see. I appreciate you being honest now. The man insists he was misled claiming she said she was 18, but officers have more to unpack before they decide anything. So now, tell me what Let's start from the beginning now and what what's all going on or what What brought you here today? Well, we were actually coming to pick my car up today. Okay. That's That's the exact reason. Okay. I know I was leaving out in the morning. If he wants to know the truth I'll tell him. Go ahead and tell him. He's going to tell you that they came and picked him up from my house to go get his car because they had him last week and brought him to my house last week and wouldn't let him drive his car back. He helped them move from Inverness to Punta Gorda where they Okay. Why wouldn't they let him drive? Because the car was having issues with its transmission or something. It kept kicking. And it's still having issues or has those issues been resolved? Have those issues been resolved? Not yet. Okay. So, he needed to get his car back immediately to Ocala. So, they came here and picked him up today. Okay, when was he planning on taking it back? Well, he was getting the car and coming right back. Okay, so he's >> this evening. Okay, well that's not That's not what he's telling us. He was He's saying he was going to stay here tonight. Well, I told him to come back home so To understand what really happened the officers start asking about the nature of their relationship. And what the teen says next immediately raises red flags. I'm being honest. Have you ever had No. Other people but not Trevor. Are you sure? Yes, I swear. >> Don't lie to me. I swear I swear Have you done anything Trevor? No. I swear to God.
