No, for not getting out of the car when I asked you 17 times and then you decided to sit back in the car >> because I'm pregnant. >> That doesn't mean you don't have to follow commands given by an officer. >> What is the point of me not? Okay, you're right. You're right, Auntie. I can listen to him. If you press this button right here. >> Yeah, that has nothing to do with my hand. >> All right, come on, miss. >> All right, follow the man. As you can see, it's a men's and it's giant. So, that's in Yeah. >> Oh, those are my prescriptions. That's my medicine I'm supposed to take. >> Okay. Oh, I just took some I just took them out of the bottle cuz I'm >> officers now conduct a search before placing her inside the patrol vehicle. >> So, I took what I needed for today. >> Do you have pockets? >> Uh, I could have backpacks. Um but >> military ID >> expired military ID or >> one of you guys sit here and babysitter. >> Yes. >> I will do that. >> Do you want me to review this >> and then handle that inside? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we'll do it. >> All right. I'm going to read this real quick. Yes, I'm shut this. >> After learning about her prior history, officers begin discussing how they'll proceed with the case. >> Well, how much work do you want to do? >> I'll do it. How many other ones? >> Well, they got like three other cases from >> in October. They literally just identified her. >> Yeah. I'm reading this one and it says that They're familiar with her, >> huh? >> That I'm reading here that they're familiar with her. >> Yeah, >> she's known. >> Yeah. East Poria ended up identifying her. So then now they've got these cases. >> Gotcha. Okay. >> So they got ones from over in East Poria or No. >> Oh, they just identify her from Okay. >> Yeah. >> Um, >> so Britney's waiting in the office. If you want to go in there and >> Okay. >> Yeah. I'll go uh >> You go sit in for a second. He's with Clark. >> Oh, he is? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Is that Clark on the other side? >> I don't know where Clark I think Clark went inside. >> All right. I've got Dave's time. So, I'll just I'll relay it to you. >> Okay. >> My body. >> The situation ultimately ended with a woman facing a retail theft charge exceeding $700. Entitled shoplifter fights with police after getting caught. In our final case, officers responded to a Macy's on August 9th, 2024 after staff reported two [music] women allegedly concealing merchandise without paying. Here's what happened when police confronted them. >> This right here, bro, >> stop talking to my cal. Shut the up. is wrong with you. Shut the talking to me. >> We got to deal with this first. >> You broke my lunch. You doing too much. For real. You're doing too much. And I am extremely disappointed in you, bro. >> We could have just peacefully talked in there. >> Stop talking to me. >> But you clearly don't understand. >> I mean looking at you. Shut the >> And I hope I catch you outside. I hope I do everything I love. I hope I do. I hope I do. Why do you It don't matter cuz she was wrong and I know she >> and I said that she should have sitting right there. Said that I >> wasn't where I go until she hit my manager and that's when she >> hit her hand. >> She was not in your hand. She was pulling pulling on my purse. Pulling on my purse. Pull the camera up. What are you sitting right here for? Go do your job and pull the camera up. >> Go pull the camera up. Go pull the camera up for me. >> Go pull the camera up for me. camera touchdown. >> We don't even know if you're going to jail or not yet. So, don't yourself. >> Let's go. Stop watching me now. Come on. >> I'm not going to let my baby see me like that until later in your eyes. >> No, it's going to work like that. Not see me like this. My baby stops. >> What are you going to do? >> The suspect immediately becomes hostile and before long her mother also joins in on the confrontation. Do we check her yet? >> I don't give a you let your daughter see you like this. Now she sees your mom and her dad like this. I hope you real happy. I hope you real happy cuz you too me bro. >> You too for me. >> Does this have any straps on it >> that we can get off? >> No. I told y'all that. I told you I told you that when you were studying trying to put the cuffs on me. Step out. >> Stop cussing. >> Bro, he is a >> I'd rather deal with you. I'd rather have a talk with you. >> Can Can we step out and can I take your cuffs off when you get out of >> Bro, stop touching me. I just said I'd rather even let this touch me like this. Y'all are so like this is insane. The fact that they even let y'all in this field. See the way this man is I'm taking though. >> Then go leave. Leave. Please do. I been told you take my baby from around there. I'm so serious. >> Yeah. All right. >> Yeah. All right. >> Yeah. All right. My baby not going. No. >> Okay. Can you please get in the back of the car again? >> You want the window rolled down? We'll stop shirt. >> We're going to see how much she stole and see what the deal is. >> It was two shirts. >> Okay, >> that was it. And the lady is lying about her hidden because I was right here with her. >> We We'll look into the whole hitting thing. And >> that was a lie. >> According to staff, the suspects were seen concealing merchandise inside the dressing room and removing tags before [music] being confronted. However, the women insist that the staff unfairly targeted and harassed them. >> I'm telling she she is out of control. And I admit that. But the lady, >> the issue is when we're coming here, we're trying to figure out what's going on and you're >> Oh, you already admitted to stealing and you're still just >> because they were in here nitpicking with you. >> Yeah, they they weren't. >> They were in there nitpicking with me woman. I'm going to defend myself. And then you came in there just as aggressive. So like I'm not none of that. It sounds good, Mr. Innocent. It sounds really good, but you just sat there and touched me. Aggressive as the Roll it up. >> That attitude is not you're not going to get help. And that's all. >> Cook, I'm going to go check with them. >> With the suspects detained, officers head back inside the store to speak with employees about what happened. >> So, >> where's the items that she got off her? >> Right here. So, what happened was half of it is going to be on video of the selections and then we moved to floor surveillance cuz I was in the fitting room across from her waiting to post sweep it. >> How was she doing all this? >> She she concealed it in the fitting room. I post I pre-wep the fitting room before she went in while he maintained surveillance on cameras and then um she went into the fitting room that was pretty swept and she came out there was two tags on the floor and that's it and everything that she came out with. She came out with her scarf and she came out with this item. >> Was she putting it in her bag or >> she put it in her bag cuz her when her mom came she started throwing everything out and then some of the other stuff just came out of her purse. Are you able to pull up videos of the slapping portion or was that outside? >> No, that was outside. I can see if I can get it right here, >> but I didn't physically put her hand my hands on her. I did hold her back, which >> I grabbed her because once I go off the curb, she was literally like this on the curb. >> She was outside. >> She was outside. Once I go off the curb, I stopped her from going off the curb. >> Okay. >> And but she kept Look, my hand is red. She kept steady popping me and popping me and popping me. I mean, you can't be mad at me in the catch. Um, that ain't nothing to me. >> Did you Are you done tallying up the totals over there yet or? >> Not yet. >> Do you think it'll be over 300 or under? >> Um, it's a tell. I can do a little real quick. Yeah, just like let my partner know and >> I want to detective. >> With assistance from store employees, officers begin reviewing the surveillance footage. Who's just sitting outside? >> Huh? >> We just sitting outside. >> But they outside already. >> No, no, no, no. Um, we had stopped her. Um, we waited till she hit all sales of points before we apprehended her, which was right here. >> Okay. >> Well, we could have got her at this door, but we wanted to make sure that she won't turn around and pay for the items. So, I'm missing one tag in a big room, but so far it said 160 350. >> Okay. And I I think it's fair to assume that last item is probably not 140. >> No. >> Right. >> I mean, here we go. Right here. >> Do you guys have band paperwork you want to get for >> I want to give her a trespass. She came home for 3 years. >> And usually the mall too, don't you? >> Yeah, we usually get one. Um, we just we can just go based off what they give. >> Talking to me. There you go. >> What's up? >> Oh, ch. >> Okay. So, it's like right here is when she goes out. Yeah, cuz we was right on her heels. >> Is it out of camera view then? >> Yeah, that Yeah, >> cuz it's going to be right here. >> Okay. Yeah, the most the most we'll probably do on that front is we'll ride it up. Um, let's see what the state's attorney decides to do cuz it gets a little tricky uh if we don't have it on video. Right there. >> Where was you at? >> He was at He 605 when I was looking that up. I ain't going back to five. I bet you >> I said 51. Fast forward, man. It's going crazy. >> Though the footage is blurred by the police department, it still clearly shows the woman attempting to conceal merchandise valued at [music] around $350. >> She kind >> That's one of our items right there. That blue. >> Got to tell her, excuse me. >> Just out of view. >> Even that other camera don't show nothing. No, that'd be even lower, I think. Cut off at the same point. >> So, I don't know how you guys do it for uh retail thefts here. Would you be able to print out like a receipt with all the items on it? >> Yeah. Okay. >> I was just trying to get the computer to uh catch up with me. >> No problem. I'm going to go check on my partner out there. If you just want to if you could also see I don't know if we have video of her. I we like the first half of the case literally um when she before going into the fitt room cuz I made him come to the floor. >> You brought her purse back in here or how did >> she had her purse? >> How did you get the items back? >> She took it out for them. >> Was that outside or >> No, that was right here. >> And then she took a couple of items outside um out cuz her mom took it out. >> Okay. If you two just want to hang out here and obviously you're working on the receipt. Uh, I'll jot your info down >> and then let me check. >> Let me enter the stuff so I can print you up. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Officers now go over the remaining information with the employees involved. >> So, essentially, you guys were doing for surveillance and video surveillance on her and just stopped her when she left uh after seeing that she had her tags off in the fitting room. She uh no I the the fitting room was empty and I saw that it was one tag and one hanger and I conversed with him and said did you see what she came out with? He said it's everything that she came out with was wrapped underneath her um wrapped around her arm. She went in with nine items. One item around her arm is not nine items. So the other items had to go somewhere. So um >> and so every time she would go in with the items to the fitting room. She went in one time. >> We don't have floor video of her putting it into the bag or anything. >> No. >> But it was a clean fitting room when she went out and it was a clean fitting room when she came out with just one item over her >> to back here. I saw her pull all the clothes out. >> Yeah. She actually gave us all the items out of the bag, gave it to me and then I put it on the table over there. Perfect. >> One thing that we need, we do got the paperwork for her. We just need her name, address, and things like that. Even if we don't get the address, we just really need the name. >> My uh my partner's got that. So if you want to check with him, he can help you out. >> Yeah, I'mma need it from my final case cuz I'm um because we got to demand her to find her. >> So what you need from Ninja DNA? >> I need her pedigree, her information. >> All that information. >> Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And as far as >> I'm trying to hurry up >> as far as her slapping your arm and all that. We're going to write it up in the report if the state's attorney decides to press charges for that. >> The verbal threats that she just made. >> You said she'll come back and crash out. >> Yeah. She said >> that'll be documented at least. Um but as far as threats, it's got to be a little more specific than that. She said to him, "Don't beat my in front of everybody several times. All my child." >> The good news is she'll be banned from here. So, if she comes back, she goes to jail. It's no questions asked. So, >> after everything that happened, the staff member expresses concern for her safety, prompting the officer to advise her on how to move forward. >> So, if I see her at my other job, >> she's she's calmed down quite a bit. >> You could always try and get an order of protection on her, which would cover you at your other job. And obviously you'll have her info once uh security gets that for you. Uh I think you have more than enough to file for one. >> I deal with first. >> So also I was like okay. >> Yeah. Let me let me check on him. Um how far along are you on? >> The computer is slow. I'm trying to move as fast as I'll check back with you. >> Yeah. All right. I'm trying to fire this or did you want me to send it through the email? >> Email will be fine if that's quicker for you. >> Long as somebody sends me the link. I'm still waiting for a link for our last case that happened. >> Oh, I usually don't do links. I just have you send it to my email and then I'll upload it on my end cuz I don't even know how to work the link thing. >> I'll just email real quick here. Some pe some people do, but >> um >> security should be bringing her info back for you. Um and then we're going to go finish up with her out here. We're still sitting out front with her. >> Thank you. And I appreciate you. >> Yep. No problem. >> Step out. >> I'm going to take you out of handcuffs. Okay. And then I'll explain this entire thing to you. All right. >> Mom already gave you a lecture, so I'll spare lecture for you. >> Hopefully we never meet again, right? >> We won't. >> Okay. Do you have any questions at all for us? >> ID. She has her ID. >> Okay. Well, you're free to go now at this point. Okay. >> I appreciate it. >> Yep. The situation ultimately ended with a woman facing a shoplifting charge before being released pending court. What's your verdict on these cases? Do you think they'll think twice before trying something like this again? Let me know in the comments and I'll see you in the next
