These women were already in trouble, but their reaction to what officers found made it 10 times worse. Here are five cases when terrible Karens denied the horrifying police discovery. Number five, boyfriend's shocking confession exposes the truth about his partner. In our first case, officers responded to an apartment complex in Ohio after a man reported a domestic situation that got out of hand. Here's what the authorities found on their arrival. >> I got to talk to you real quick. >> What's up, man? What's going on? >> What's going on? >> Mhm. >> Yes. >> What's going on with your eye? >> I got beat up. >> Okay. Is >> there altercation out? >> Nah, not today. >> Not today. >> Nothing happened today. >> What apartment you going to? >> 606. >> 606. I live at 606. My home girl. >> Your home girl. >> We were out here a little bit ago cuz she had a cut on her forehead. What happened? >> She hit her head >> on what? >> The floor. I guess >> you weren't here. >> I was here, but I don't know how she started. >> Okay. >> 20. >> I think it was a pimple that popped or something. >> Okay. >> Is it any kids in the apartment? >> Oh, yeah. >> How many? >> Two, I think. >> Okay. What ages? >> I'm not sure how big they I think they both too. >> Okay. Well, at first someone was arguing up here. I just assume they're in their apartment. >> Hey, Janette. >> Oh, >> you're good. Where's your sister at? >> She in the shower. >> Okay. Cuz we're out here with Oh, dog. Cool. Yeah, it's all right. >> Absolutely not. >> Cuz we're out here with her boyfriend. >> Yeah, she in the shower. >> I know. Can she talk to us real quick? cuz he was about to come back in the room and I'm guessing that's not a good idea. >> Come back in here. >> Yeah. >> No. No. My kids in here. I ain't going for that. >> No. Can you grab her real quick? >> Oh, she just have her come talk to us. I appreciate you. >> I hear somebody else in the stairwell. >> Um, she said she need a minute cuz she >> That's cool. No worries. That's fine. >> I appreciate you. >> Y Yeah, literally right when we came up, someone was arguing. So, I assumed he's already in >> and as soon as we walked past both ways, it just stopped. I was like, you go ahead. >> The victim reported that he drove his girlfriend to the residence where an argument broke out. To make matters worse, the home belongs to another man. And now, another confrontation seems to be brewing while officers wait for the suspect to come out. No, that's down there. >> Is it? >> That dog was big. >> Was it dog? >> Was a King Corso, I think. >> Didn't look happy to see me. >> No. >> So, how did how did how did this altercation between you two start? She want to call. She kept trying to kick me out cuz I needed a space to sleep. I can't sleep in my car. It's cold in there. I can't have my ass. I don't got no gas. And I I don't got a job right now. So, she gave me like $150 to bring her up here. How am I supposed to get back? >> Yeah. >> I'm stuck. >> So, so she's wanting to stay here and she wants you to go back. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I mean, did you kind of like know that when you was driving? >> She said she she said she was going to say she was going to do all this. >> How long y'all been together? >> We've been together for a year and we wasn't together for a whole 5 months. And guess what? I was still spending every single last time on her just for her to treat me. It's crazy. And then she tore my grandparents crimp too. So that's really why we not cool no more cuz it's like I'm crazy for love. >> Yeah. If she was in jail for you said >> was it towards you or >> she bit my finger. >> Okay. When did that happen? >> In North Carolina. >> We'll be at copy. >> Thursday. >> Thursday. >> Crazy, right? Anyone know what's crazy? >> I even picked her up. I went to the court and testified for her and got her out of jail. I went to the jail house, picked her up from court. As soon as she got in the car, guess what she did? Boom. I'm like, yo, >> instantly. >> Yeah. >> I don't know what I don't know what I'm doing. >> Do you have you hit her back? >> Never. That's the thing. I've never >> The victim alleges repeated abuse by the 19-year-old suspect. And while there's already a complicated past between them, this latest confrontation takes it to a breaking point. >> Well, let me not lie. Today was the only time. And she kept calling me I'm like, "Oh my god, stop." So, I just backhand her on the Mount Popper real quick. Like, stop calling me like, "Jesus Christ." >> Yeah. >> That was the only time out of a whole year that I've ever touched her. She hit me and she kept kicking me in my face and hit my hit the side of my glass. >> Okay. >> And I still defended her. I said, "She's hurt. It's okay. She's hurt. Don't nobody yell at nobody at her. Don't talk about her. She's just hurt. I hurt her. >> I lied. I did a lot of things in our relationship that I was supposed to do cuz I'm young. I messed up. I made mistakes. But she's just upset. Very sad right now. You know what's crazy? She's in there with She meets introduces >> Hey, this is D. >> It takes a while, but the suspect finally steps out of the room and the officers waste no time in trying to uncover the whole story. >> Hello. Yeah, he came back. He's down there. So, I remember >> Oh, why you for the police? That's so cool. >> I'm so sorry we had to be in this like, you know, situation. >> What's going on? >> Um, he needs to go back to North Carolina. >> Okay. >> What happened tonight? >> Uh, we're Ax is he took me down here. Um the agreement at first was that I was to stay and then I changed my mind. But it don't matter. He just need to leave. >> Okay. >> It's very emotional and I just I want to like I just want him to leave me alone. You know what I'm saying? I've been wanting to go home for a while. I'm finally back. >> I'll be going to Alabama soon so I can have more stability. >> Okay. >> So, are you guys both in North Carolina and he brought you back here? Uh >> I moved to North Carolina from Texas um when we were still together >> with him. Yes. Five months ago. >> Okay. >> We were still living together. Uh it didn't work out. We were just supposed to like be living together until I could um leave and he could take me back here. >> But he's very emotional. >> Okay. >> I just got a DV charge down in North Carolina. >> Okay. >> I don't want him to get charges down here cuz I want him stuck down here. I just want him to go home. >> I get you. >> I'll be right back everybody. Oh wow. Did Did anything get physical tonight? Like was he physical with you tonight or >> were you physical? >> If anything, it was really just like I can't lie. I usually do be starting it. Like >> Okay. >> I would like get upset and put my hands on, but that's not what happened tonight. Um I actually was just trying to get him away from the apartment because >> this not my place, you know, and the people here I don't know. I can't control what anybody else does and where if they feel like threatened or whatever, you know, if they're I don't want to bring this drama over here in the first place. So, um, >> so this is your brother's apartment? >> This is my friends. >> Your friends? Okay. >> And now what the victim thought was a family visit quickly turns questionable once the woman says the man inside is just a friend. >> No, someone else thought it was your brother. That's all. Um, >> okay. So, he brought you here to stay and he thought he was also staying but >> or that I'm coming back with him and he's mad cuz I'm not coming back with him. He said I'm not leaving unless you come back with and he stay and it's just like >> okay >> neither of those things are happening. >> Okay. So, how did you get the mark here? >> Uh, I had him. >> Okay. >> Okay. How did he get a mark like here? How did he get a mark here? >> I'm not saying no more. I don't have a lawyer. >> I don't cuz last time I was in North Carolina as soon as I was like like cuz it was a situation where he was trying to kidnap me for real and he was like I'm not leaving unless you smoke with me and I didn't tell the police station straight and I just like yeah >> I get you. So it's not incriminating anything. He's just got a mark here. You've got a mark here. So >> that was earlier and >> this was from earlier. >> That was earlier on South Games. Okay. >> I don't know if I got a call if y'all remember that. If y'all got that specifically or >> what what time was that? >> This was like earlier when it was still sun out. >> Oh, no. No, we were not there. >> So, nobody was there. Nobody showed up, but they said >> Okay. >> What happened in the parking lot then? >> Um, he snatched my phone. So, >> okay. >> I was walking down. He was at the door. He was like, "Just talk to me. Just talk to me. Just talk to me." I'm like, "No, I don't want to talk to you." So I kept I walked down the stairs. I went down the stairs and it was on the stairs talking and then it got physical and then um I was just kind of couldn't think straight. So then um he snatched my phone. >> It's clear now that her story doesn't quite match up what the officers have already heard. They give the 19-year-old suspect the chance to talk, but at this point they've already made their call. And unfortunately for her, it's not the outcome she's hoping for. >> He grabbed my phone and he ran down three flights of stairs, ran out the door and thought he was going to hop in the car. So I think I got on top of the car and from there it was just like a bunch of like it wasn't really fighting. It was just like >> physical struggle. Yeah. >> And then did he take off in the car while you were still on it? >> Uhhuh. >> Okay. >> Yes. I was on top of the car and he was driving. Yeah. >> Did he like like >> actually run you over? Like did the tires take >> I was on top of the car already. >> Okay. >> Took off and you fell off? >> No. >> All right. So, I hate to be the bear of bad news, but >> you going to arrest me? >> Yeah. Go ahead. Just make this easy. All right. Go put your hands behind your back. >> I'm being arrested again. >> Y'all going to charge me with DV? >> Uh, yes, man. >> Oh my god. Going to be in there for hours. Can y'all tell them if they arrested Can you tell them if you arrested me? >> Yeah, I will. In the meantime, let's >> your phone or anything? >> Oh my god. >> It's not It's not his decision. >> It's not his decision here. >> In the state of Ohio, it's preferred. >> Meaning regardless regardless if he wanted to pursue charges or not, the outcome would be the same. Don't Don't buckle on me. >> You talking to me is not going to make me feel better. Like, bro, I didn't even do nothing. Like, he literally snatched my phone. Like, he was driving with me on top of the car. >> Did you see his face? Have you seen his face? >> What does that mean? >> He's beat up really bad. >> I did not beat him up. >> You just said you headbutted him. >> I headbutted him because he was restraining me. He stole my phone. So, so >> he said he sent my money on cash app to himself. >> You said you headbutt him because because he stole your >> It's camera. It's camera footage. >> She's still pushing back against officers, but it won't change the outcome. She's in custody and this will be her second charge for domestic violence. question and point like why did >> go ahead and stand right here on this. Yep. Spread your feet for me. >> You got it. I'm not trying to fight off. >> Yeah. >> This your second charge with him. Hey, >> spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Hey, spread your feet. Spread your feet. >> Okay. >> Got to listen. Any weapons on you? Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Stop. >> Do you have any weapons on you? Do it look like I don't have any weapons. >> I'm asking. >> It ain't It ain't about >> All right. Mark on me. That don't mean nothing. Like I was just bleeding. That don't mean nothing. >> Go ahead. Stand up straight. Stop. Stop doing that. Stop doing that. Stop. Keep your feet spread. What are you doing? >> My feet are spread. >> God. They wasn't. You can't. >> Well, they are now and you're g to me. >> Yes. Because now I have my foot in between your leg. >> Stop playing with me. >> You got I'm going to I ask you one more time. You nothing on you? No or anything? Take it to county with you and get another charge. You understand that? Okay. Go ahead. Take a seat for me. Okay. Now, inside the cruiser, the woman resorts to crying. However, it's her own decisions that led her to this. [Laughter] Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Ready? [Applause] [Music] [Applause] >> All right. Go ahead. Step out. some of that stuff. Okay, I got to switch out your cups. Watch your step. [Applause] In the end, the woman was charged with domestic violence. Number four, the pettiest fight between two cousins. On April 26th, 2025, officers in Ohio responded to a domestic dispute between two cousins. Here's what occurred. >> Hey, puppy. Is he going to come at us or you a good boy? >> Yes, you are. [Applause] >> Go. Okay. >> All right. Can you just please put everything down? >> Yeah, >> you're just you're taking me. >> Wait, what about my dogs though? Can you explain? >> Everything's going to be explained. >> But after I'm not going to do anything, >> you guys I'm not going to do anything. She attacks me and you guys don't even tell me what's going on because we're cuffing. >> We're going to talk to you. >> I was not raised to be violent and you guys are cuffing me. >> Who's on the phone? >> You can hang up. She's my friend. >> Is she's Are you going to You want to come take care of the dogs? >> It's on mute. It's They're fine right now. But what is going on? >> Does anybody else live here? >> I'm coming. >> You're under arrest for felonious assault. >> What does that mean? >> You stabbed somebody. So, under arrest for felonious assault just to get it all out. >> No self-defense. >> I have a video of that last night. >> All right. Do you want to take your >> listen? Do you want to take your phone with you? >> Does anybody >> don't matter? Whichever one is your phone? >> Do you want to ask her? Do you want to leave your door unlocked for her? >> It's open. Brooklyn, >> I don't know. >> I'm coming. >> Okay. I'm going to jail. >> So, we She'll go to Summit County. >> Don't you explain me to me before like >> No, you be we already told you you're being arrested for his assault. Okay. But to talk a little better, we got to go down >> the door >> and talk. Okay. >> Can I bring my babe? What is going on? My cousin literally attacks me in my own house and I'm like, what? I've literally never even been in cuffs in my life. >> Hold on. Reports say the suspect and her cousin got into an argument over a vape which quickly escalated into a physical fight. And while both women struck each other, the suspect crossed the line. >> You have anything on you? >> No. >> Hold on. I just got to make sure you don't have anything. >> I'm sorry. >> All right. I'm just going to pat you down. Okay. You got anything on you? Go ahead and just sit down. Listen. Like there's no selfdefense. >> No, listen. This is we're only going based upon the evidence that we have >> and what's going on. So obviously you will have, you know, a chance to, you know, go to court here. I'm going to read you this real quick. Okay. >> I've already lost my job. I got fired this week. I crashed my car this week. My boyfriend broke up with me. And then I come out my room and my cousin attacks me and I'm getting arrested. >> You can read it. No, I have >> you know I have to do this though. >> So you have the right to remain silent. >> Anything you say can let it roll. >> Okay. >> So >> I know the officer is going to come over here and talk to you about it. Okay. >> A second officer arrives and begins asking what led to the call. The suspect insists she acted in self-defense, but based on what comes next, that claim doesn't hold up for long. Hi, Ariana. I'm Officer Hudson with Akan Police. Okay. I'm going to read your rights right now. Okay. >> So, did something happen with your cousin last night? >> Yeah, very much so. >> What What happened? You want to talk to me about that? >> Yeah. And I have videos, too. So, I This is crazy. But, um, >> yeah, she was harassing me about the dogs being in the kitchen. >> Mhm. And then she went on a rant about how I'm a dirty and this and that. And I was just sitting at the table in the kitchen. >> And I was laughing at her like, "Girl, what the >> Mhm." >> And then she comes in there and takes my vape. >> Mhm. >> And so I choke I didn't even hit her at that point. I choked her out. >> Mhm. >> Until she dropped it and I let her go. >> Mhm. >> And I was like, "Leave me alone." Essentially, she kept we kept going back and forth, honing going back and forth. She's like, "I've been waiting to beat your and then I went to go walk out on the porch." I did. >> Okay. After I let her go the first time, that's when I grabbed the knife. >> And um Yeah. So, I'm trying to walk outside, I still have it on me. And she before I even open the door, she body checks me and then starts punching me. >> Mhm. >> And that's when that initial happened. And I dropped the knife cuz that would have been it. I dropped it and we were fighting >> and that's literally it. Then it ended. Her dad came and got her. But I guess she even lied to him saying I hit her with a freaking pan. >> Mhm. >> And that never happened. But like that's literally it. >> How'd she get the bruises all over her face then? >> I was punching her. >> Okay. >> Like literally. >> So let's So she was harassing you. Okay. You were sitting at the kitchen table. Okay. You guys kept banging back and forth. She grabbed your vape and threw it. >> It becomes obvious to officers that she started the altercation. But the suspect sees herself as justified even after admitting she reached for the knife or grabbed your vape. Sorry. And then you started choking her out. She And then you got it back. >> Yeah. When she dropped, she threw it. And I let her go. I was like, "Are you done?" >> Let her go. And then I kept recording and stuff and she just kept talking and talking and talking. And so I'm in the living room. She's sitting at the dining room table eating dinner and she's just like, "We can go outside. We can go outside." So when she saw I was about to go on the porch with my dogs, she runs up and body checks me and starts hitting me. >> Literally, I like And I I have multiple videos from over the past like year of her just harassing me, like putting trash at the bottom of my bedroom stairs. And I understand like life is hard. You're going through, but you don't have to make everybody else miserable. >> Mhm. multiple times in the video. I'm like, I pray for you. Like, you can use your energy for good. Like, I never I'm not a violent person. Like, that's not me. I'd rather walk away from something, but like at that point, what do you do? Like, you figured someone's not going to come at you while you're holding a knife. >> Mhm. >> But, I don't know. I don't know if that counts as self-defense, but that's literally all it was. And like, where am I supposed to go? I literally live here. Yeah. >> Like, >> so nothing happened with any sort of frying pan or anything like that? just from getting punched in the face. Do you have any injuries on you? Do you have any injuries on you? >> Um, maybe the scratch behind my leg that I just noticed. What? >> I mean, she's pretty messed up. She went to uh immediate surgery >> on her colon. >> Mhm. >> Yeah, I know. >> So, >> is that from like the damage or is it from the wound? >> It's from the staff. Yes. She has severe injuries to her colon and bowel. She was rushing emergency surgery. >> So, it's not self-defense is what you're telling me. >> I mean, I can't tell you anything, but based off the evidence, all I have right now. And see, >> does are you guys bringing my phone with me? >> Well, I can most certainly if you give us permission to go in there and grab your phone, we can bring it out to you. You can show us your head and >> Oh, they So, you had it on you and stuff when Okay. Okay. >> Conveniently, the incident was caught on video. While parts of the footage are blurred, it clearly shows the suspect lunging at the victim first shortly after the vape has been grabbed. And from there, things escalate quickly. >> I'll ask where the it's at and stuff. Where's the knife at in the house? >> In my bed. >> In your bed? >> Mhm. >> Okay. All right. Sit tight for me for a minute. Okay. I'm going to go talk to the other officers and I'll get your phone. >> Am I in jail tonight is what you're saying? I don't know. >> We're going to we're going to figure that out. Okay. >> This is so scary. >> Thank you. Mhm. Can't let you out of cuss, but I can stand here with you right now. >> Wait for what? >> Do you want to show me the videos? >> Oh, yeah. >> Bro, if I wanted to fight somebody, I would fight them. I'm not about to sit here and talk about Oh, if you if you come outside like Yes. Do it. Do it. Do it. Give me my Give me my Give me my Give me my Give me my [Music] drag you into the camera so you can see it. >> So they can see what I'm doing. [Music] >> You see, I'm being attacked in my own house. So if I stab her and I recorded it, >> y'all have we both live here. So yeah. >> So she stabbed you at that point or >> that's like literally hers. I just wanted my stuff back and I'm like, "Leave me alone." >> Come on. Let's go outside. Come on. >> Let's go. Let's go. [Music] Let's all go outside. Let's all go outside. Let's all go outside. >> That's literally how it happens. That was me hitting it. That's why it looks like she got hit with >> the victim's actions may have sparked the fight, but the suspect took it to another level when she chose to grab a knife and use it. >> Oh, yeah. >> And then I let her go, said, "I don't even want to do it to you." Like, >> what the heck? What the heck? Like me trying to walk out the door, that's when I had the knife and then she just ran up on me. >> Like, what? So, you said the knife's in your bedroom? >> Yeah, I think it's not my bed. >> Okay. >> Cuz like I know myself and I know that I do take things too far. That's why I don't like to start. >> Would you be willing to sign a consent uh waiver for the house for us to go in and grab the knife? If not, we'll get a search warrant. That's going to take like 2 or 3 hours. So either or we can either do this quickly or we can >> I mean >> that's all you're grabbing. >> Yeah. Unless we unless we see blood or anything. >> I mean there's blood in her bed, but yeah. >> Okay. We can even have you in handcuffs. We can take you in there and you can walk with us and stuff like that. Okay. All right. If you want to We'll get her out. She'll walk us to her bed. Obviously, we're going to have a hold of her, but we're going to walk she's going to walk us to her bedroom and stuff. We'll retrieve that knife and see if there's any other evidence that we need to photograph or anything. Okay. >> So, give us a second. She's going to put on some glasses real quick. Is this still uploading here or? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> With her statement on record, officers now request to enter the home to investigate and review any signs of the dispute. >> You're going to walk We're going to have you walk us in. Okay. Show us where your room's at. Okay. And then we'll bring you back out. Okay. >> Where are we going? >> Straight. This door open. >> Oh, right here. Right here. Go ahead and stand back over here. Sorry. I'm open it. >> Is it hidden somewhere or? >> No. I literally didn't even know it was in my bed. It should be right next to my barn by the Bible. Okay. That's so terrible. >> No, you're fine. Here, I'm going to have you go over here. >> It's going to be in her bed next to the dog she >> Okay. Yeah, I see it. And where's uh Schuler's uh bedroom? >> Uh downstairs. >> Downstairs. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Uh we'll go just have her walk you downstairs to her bedroom so we know when she does that, we'll take her back out. >> So, whose bedroom is this? >> This is the suspect's bedroom. Right next to the Gong Bible, there's the handle. >> I got >> Is this the Okay, I'll go ahead. >> Who's Whose room? Is this a room here or >> uh That's my answer. It's never open. >> Okay, >> that would be victim. >> Okay, >> that's probably >> victim says she was laying down, felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and looked and there's blood all over. So, >> what was this all over? Uh, the argument over was over dogs being in the kitchen while she was cooking. >> I thought it would be over drinking. >> For a moment, the suspect may have believed she could walk away without consequences, but the investigation says otherwise. >> All right. So, Ariana, based off all the evidence and everything else like that, you're going to be sent to Summit County Jail today, okay, for felonious assault and domestic violence. Okay. >> There's no cell phone. >> No. No. Based off even your phone recordings, no. So, you're going to be going to jail today. Okay. >> Obviously, um you'll have your court date and stuff like that. Get your attorney and uh they'll review and see if there's uh this will go to grand jury and stuff and you'll see if they end up ruling this self-defense. But for all the evidence I've observed and everything else like that, this was not self-defense. Okay? So, you're going to be going to Summit County Jail today for fooling assault and domestic violence. Arrest ticket should already be uploaded to >> book [Applause] ride. This is her phone property. >> In the end, the woman was charged with felony assault and domestic violence. Number three, stealing the dog was bad enough, but then she also got violent. Once again in Ohio, officers responded to a residence. This time after a woman reported that her neighbors stole her dog and attacked her when she tried to get it back. Here's what she tells the authorities when they arrive. >> Dog would be in. And when I get up there, the apartment is disgusting, filthy, nasty, everywhere. I asked them five times to give me my dog because I don't want my dog in there. >> Okay. >> She bit my hand. >> Who did? >> This the girl. She bit my I'm trying to get my dog from her because I want my dog back. But if you go in there and see how disgusting the apartment is. I don't listen. She bit the out of me. >> Oh. >> She bit me and she put her hands on me. Tried to pull my hair cuz I wanted my puppy. I'm coming to see what kind of living arrangements he in. >> Do you want to? >> No. I just want you to see. >> No. Do you want to be seen by EMS? >> Sir, I want you to see why I wanted my dog. No, sir. I'm fine. >> You're fine? >> I just want you to see. I wanted my dog because when I seen what type of living arrange the regulator he was in, I wanted my dog back because I don't want him in these type of type of uh environment. He got a wound on his leg and they can't care for him. So I I paid you to watch my dog. You can't watch my dog. >> I want my dog back. They refused to give me my dog. I'm trying to get tried to grab my dog from her. She bit my hand. >> What? How did your hand get in her mouth? >> Well, because I'm trying to grab my dog. >> Okay. Okay. >> So, I'm trying to grab my dog. Yes. She She bit my hand while I'm trying to get my dog because if you go in the apartment and look the apartment is this I didn't know it looked it like that. >> I'm in the middle of moving and I can't You know what I'm saying? I can't take him where I'm going. Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. He's a puppy. He got wounded. He got hit by a car. I got my pet fork. Got all my papers. >> Is he skddish or is he scared? >> No, he not. B. >> Come here, buddy. It's my puppy. >> So, >> and I went up there to see what type of living arrangements he was in. Hey buddy, >> give him some food, mister. >> Reports say the woman had originally asked her neighbors to care for her dog while she was in the middle of moving. But once she saw the condition of their apartment and how the dog was being treated, she decided to take it back and that's when things turned violent. >> Saying to give him some food and stuff and I see what type of I'm like this is disgusting, bro. Like no, give me my dog. I'm gone. >> Okay. >> And I tried to get my dog and they they both just like she just like she just started flipping out, screaming, pulling my hair. You ain't taking this dog. You can't I'm in the process of moving. I can't go back and forth back and forth like this. >> So when I came to bring him some food and stuff so to, you know what I'm saying? To make sure he okay >> to give him his medicine. >> Are you taking your dog now? >> Yes, absolutely. I would never let my dog live in that. They got three animals up there and his everywhere. All over the floor. Dog everywhere. >> Ain't no way if I knew my if I knew that would looked like that yesterday when I gave her to him because I always see her at the store passing. You know what I'm saying? I'm thinking she a nice lady. I didn't know her apartment looked it like that. Okay. So, here here's my >> I'm gone. I just want to let you know that bit me. She she need help. >> Then what do you want to do? What do you what do you want to do about that? >> She need she need to be she need to be something need to happen to her cuz I How am I wrong for asking for my dog? >> Okay. Do you want to press char? >> Absolutely. If I could figure out how >> she all the way on the fourth floor up there in that corner. She disgusted. >> Okay. Do you >> She don't need them animals that's in there. I just want my You know what? I just want my dog. >> I So here's my thing. Just because I know it looked nasty. >> I know. But the way you're describing is that her? >> Uh, no. She's a heavy set white girl. Okay. >> And she worked at the dollar store. >> I'm just I'm just advising you that >> to go get to go get I just got a tennis shot because when he got hit by a car, >> you know what I'm saying? >> Or at least to get it get it looked at. I mean, you don't >> I mean, she bit the out of me for no reason. >> I mean, you don't know what's in people's mouths. And >> that apartment I you know what? >> The way you're describing >> I have but I have to listen. I'mma get my dog >> in my friend's house right here. >> Okay, >> where I'm at. Come on, buddy. >> Here's the thing. >> Hold on. >> Come on, buddy. >> Do you have a vehicle right now for me? >> Yeah. >> My friend has a vehicle and she's right here. She's in this parking lot right here waiting on me. >> Here's the thing. I don't want you to leave right now. You're not being detained or you're not being But >> I mean, you I mean, I I'll sit right here and wait for you. She's ready to file charges, but before they can take the next step, the officer needs her full cooperation to back up her claims. >> I mean, if you don't want your dog out in the Where's it? Where's the >> I mean, my friend is She's in the parking lot right here. I still have to go in. >> Yeah, she's in the parking lot right here on the other side of here. >> Okay. Can you just tell her to pull over here then for me? What I need to figure out is how she bit your finger. >> So, I'm going explain to you how she did that. I asked him from when I went in there and I seen the living arrangements. I'm petty calling for my dog Bo. >> Yeah. >> Hey, where's my dog at? He keep closing the door. Like I'm thinking something. I'm thinking in my mind maybe maybe my dog might have got away or maybe >> Okay, >> make a long story short, I I go in the room or whatever. I'm like, "Bo, come on. Bo, come on." I'm trying to reach down to grab him like trying to grab him. She like, "No, get off of him." She get, "No, you don't need him. You don't need him. You said we could keep him." I never said you could keep him. I said you could watch him for me, >> right? >> I'm coming to breathe for and I see what type of living arrangement. Even if I was to give them to you, it's my dog. That apartment disgusting. I don't want him in there. >> Well, I mean, obviously you could prove that the dog is >> it's my puppy. Yeah. And I y'all supposed to been watching them for me. But when I seen the living arrangements, I started getting irritated for the simple fact that it's disgusting in here. He got a wound and y'all nasty as I'm not having that, bro. >> Okay. I I went to reach down to grab my dog and she started pulling on me and I I told her I'm trying to grab my puppy and she locked on my hand and bit me so I couldn't grab him. When I bent down to pick him up, I'm picking him holding him up like this trying to pull cuz I try not to hurt him. >> So you're holding him like this. >> I'm trying to get him up cuz his legs is wounded. >> I'm trying to get him up like this and she grabbed my hand and bit it so I let him go. >> Okay, >> that's what she That's what I needed to know. >> She bit my hand so I let him go and let him go and she locked on it and I snatched my finger out of her mouth. Okay. So, she grabbed your hand and bit it. >> She grabbed cuz I I'm trying to pull him up cuz you know what I'm saying? He wounded. So, I'm not trying to be aggressive with him. I'm trying to get him up on my shoulder. She grabbed my hand and locked on my finger. Let him go. You said we can have him. I never said you could have him. I don't know what's wrong with y'all. Y'all better take your medication. >> Okay. I will be right back. >> Now that the officer has heard from the victim, it's time to see what the suspects have to say. [Music] Oh, >> hi there. >> Hi. >> You guys put the dog away, >> huh? >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Uh, >> can you guys explain to me what happened? >> Well, um, >> and why she has a little bite mark on her finger. >> She bit her. Uh she hit me and she had been at that dog and she was coming over here to uh she said that I can have the dog and I was going to take the dog to the ENL clinic and probably call Robert City Rescue so that dog can get some help for being hit by a car that she caused. >> Okay. >> I have a picture of foot. >> You have what? >> I have a picture of the dog's foot. >> Yeah, that dog needs to go to the hospital. I've seen the dog >> and like her, she say she don't got the money and that's why she say she we can have the dog. She come over here, she came in, she started hitting us and I told her go to the bathroom with the dog, locked the door, she started hitting me and then when she hit me I kind of got dizzy because >> where she hit you at >> like in my head she just kept hitting me in my head. >> Let me see. >> And I didn't hit her back. >> Okay. >> Because I'm not like that kind of person. I only bit her because she hit me. >> So then she got into my bathroom, broke my toilet. >> Okay. >> So now, so like you want to come this way. I don't know. >> She uh hit me in the head. So I bit her. That's why I drew blood. I told her not to touch me or I was going to >> Okay. >> I told her that if she hit me that I was going to hit her like hit her back. I didn't have hands because, you know, holding the dog and I didn't want to drop the dog. So >> Okay. My next reaction was spike. >> I told her just give her the dog so she stop hitting because she's breaking my stuff. >> Now, the man's next claim will surely leave you shaking your head. >> And I wouldn't press charges for that. >> Okay, so here's the thing. I don't really see any injuries on you guys. She has a bloody finger. >> I did it because she did that. >> I did it because she hit us. >> Okay, can you turn around for me? >> Place your hands behind your back. She's getting arrested. >> Okay. >> I told her to give her the dog and I didn't hit no one. >> Okay. >> Because because I I didn't feel like it was the right thing to do because even even though >> we're both going to step outside. >> Uh I got my dog and stuff here and I don't >> You too. You're going to step outside too. Come on. >> Because I don't want I didn't do anything though. >> Yeah. Well, >> and the dog came here for two days. >> Okay. So her story is is that she said that you guys could watch the dog while she >> was talking about banning the dog. She said it's the dog's fault that she told him that. She said since I got to be cold out on the streets, you got to be cold. Was talking about going to the east side and dropping his off talking about he's just a useless and telling us if we want to have the dog then we got to pay her. We said that tomorrow when the bank opens, we can pull out the money. Just pay her for it and she didn't want to. >> So tomorrow is Sunday and the bank's not open. >> Yeah. Yeah. Then I was like, "Oh, you at the ATM?" >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I know. I wasn't thinking because a lot of that was all going on >> and stuff and >> I wasn't trying to fight her. She just kept putting her hand. >> I didn't know my sister was going to do that because I was telling my sister, "Give her the dog. give her the dog. >> That was right beforehand. I uh >> I was on the phone 911 saying that >> all they had to do was return the dog, but they didn't. By putting their hands on the victim, they also turned a simple dispute into a criminal case. And despite all that, both siblings are still insisting they did nothing wrong. >> And she said that when she came to get the dog, you guys were upset that you got that she was taking the dog. I >> I told her I can help pay for the dog. take the dog to the hospital and she can have the dog. Then she started talking about I can have the dog and talking about admitting it and that's when I'm like, "Okay, Terry, you can go to the bathroom with the dog." >> All right, let's go downstairs. >> So, uh, what's going on with >> What's that? >> What's going on with her? >> What's going on with her? >> Yeah. >> Uh, right now she's being arrested for assault for like >> and causing injury. >> Well, I thought it was self-defense because she was putting her hands on us. in our own home. >> Yeah. Well, I don't see any injuries on you guys. And then I see the bite mark on her hand and then I see the blood on the side here. >> Yeah, but it would like stop. >> That was because she punched me. >> Do you guys have video of this? >> No, it just happened way too fast. >> The you guys record every 911 call is on that. >> What's that? >> You guys can play the 911 call back. Yeah, >> you guys and you guys listen to the 911 call. It's all up on there. >> I told her not to touch me. I was trying to get her to back off so I can turn around. >> Please uh listen to the 911 call before any of you guys get >> Okay. So, right now I can't listen to the 911 call. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Uh I am just going by what I see and what I know. >> I'm going call See, I've never gotten in trouble with the police before, but I've watched so many uh police documentaries to the point where I'm like just best if I just comply and just not run off. I've had to deal with police multiple times. I know >> what to do, what not to do at least. She insists the victim struck her first, but with no solid proof, the officer simply takes her statement and moves on. She continues to say it was self-defense, but at this point, her explanation is one she'll have to make in court. >> Even if I am scared, I'm not going to just sit there and run off. >> Why? Why did you I mean, why did you bite her? And >> I bit her because I told her to back up because when Zach was telling me to uh put the dog down, she was getting all up in my face to the point where I was huddled up in the corner with the dog and I couldn't turn around just to let him down. And I was trying to tell her to back up for a minute and she got up in my face and then smacked me in the face. So that's why I turn around and I bit her so she can back up so I can give her her dog. I wasn't trying to go to that extent, but I wasn't going to just like drop a dog that's injured already, and I don't want to injure him more. If she would have backed up, I would have turned around and gave her her dog. But no, she wanted to be up in my face and smack me. So, I bit her out of self-defense and I just drew blood because that was one way I was able to get her to back off for a second. And can I tell you something? What's that? >> That apartment that she's in. >> Yeah. >> Um the person who was living there before cut their lease and she legally don't live there. She's basically homeless. Didn't want to let you know that. >> Okay. You you guys haven't been drinking it or anything? >> No. No. I did have a couple sips of alcohol, but that's about it. But it wasn't like a lot. It was just like three sips before logo. >> I just wish you didn't draw blood. >> I wasn't trying to. She just kept putting her hands in my face and bit and like punched me. So, I bit her. And I wasn't trying to draw blood, but she didn't want to back up. I was just trying to have room to turn around. But no, I got blocked right in the corner to the point where I couldn't even move. And she been threatening to get rid of that dog. She's already told us she's homeless. and she said it's the dog's fault. >> The woman was later charged with assault. Number two, the moment a child predator realizes her lies have run out. On August 12th, 2022, officers in Charlotte County, Florida, responded to a home after reports that a 15-year-old boy had been missing for 4 days. The officer speaks with the teen's mother, hoping her statement might offer some clue about where he's gone. So, you said that last time he was found at those apartments uh down the street. >> Is there a friend of his that lives there or something? >> I have no clue. He's changed his entire friend group to be honest. Um he went from honors classes and a football player to >> whoever these people are. >> Whoever these people are. Um >> I know he's smoking and drinking. I've seen it on his Snapchat. >> Okay. >> Um he's been stealing from us. Um, and that's what arose yesterday is he stole $100 out of my wallet. Okay. >> And he basically >> said, "I never want to see you again. I don't want to see dad. Don't talk to me. Don't find me. Don't call me." >> Okay. >> Um, I want to say it was between 9:40 and 9:50 last night. >> Okay. And I know you gave a description of what he was wearing. He He's on foot, too. >> He's on foot. He's also has a gray Nike backpack. >> Okay. >> That he's had that he's carrying with him. >> Okay. Uh, we don't have a picture of him. Uh, I mean, I can find it through, you know, body camera interactions, but um Can I give you one? >> Yeah, give me a picture if you let me grab my phone. >> Yep. Yeah, I'll get mine, too. I'll be right back. >> Right. >> I don't know. There was some party at a beach in Charlotte County and there was a huge fight >> and some guy was out there stabbing kids, people. >> Okay. What was this? >> He was out there and that's what they did to him. >> Okay. From the way she speaks, it's clear that this isn't the first time her son has run off. But this time, he's been gone longer than usual, and she knows he's been mixed up in trouble. >> Um, so I took him to the ER. >> You broke the nose? >> Yeah. >> Oh, crap. Okay. >> A 25-year-old. >> Okay. >> Um, >> where was this at again? Uh, that it all went down. >> This was in July. >> Okay. >> This was in July. >> And this is when he sent me this picture and said, "Mom, somebody broke my nose." >> Where was it at though? here in uh >> it was here in Charlotte County. >> Okay. Was it at a park or something? >> Yeah, it was at like the um the beach park down the street. >> Okay. Cool. >> Um and my oldest son is um at college and he ca and he sent him that picture. So he came home for a week >> and that's when he text my older son, I'm at Charleston K, come get me. >> Okay. >> And that's when he came home. We took him to the ER. >> We did all that. >> Okay. So, right now you you pretty much have no no idea where he could be at. That's just an idea based on where he was found last time. >> Uh, and that's when he was found with Devonte, right? This Devonte guy. Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. So, that all went down a couple weeks ago at the >> park. Uh, >> yeah. the the longest he's done this for that he's taken off or >> um No, but we had a really long conversation that school's in session. Um he had told us over the summer when we didn't hear from him for a couple days that he was at a trap house. No clue what that is or what goes on there, >> right? >> Um you know, we definitely don't do anything like that. >> Yeah. >> So I I I don't know. I know he's with the older crowd. all his friends that he used to hang out with from football, he's just kind of pushed them to the side. >> Okay. Which is the crowd he should be hanging out with right now? Or at least that should be his friend group, but >> Right. >> Okay. So, you say he he does alcohol. Have you seen him impaired before by any of these? >> Yeah, he was high the other night when he stole money from me. He went down to the gate >> and I'm sure he bought >> Mhm. With a 15-year-old's record of substance use and stealing, this is no ordinary runaway case. What's worse, his mother suspects that it's likely someone's influencing him in the wrong direction. >> And this isn't the first time he stole from us. I mean, he stole over $1,500 out of her seat. >> Wow. Okay, that's big right there. Yeah, you should have I mean, and I know as a parent, >> you probably try to avoid getting them in trouble, >> right? But I know press charges. >> Yeah. Other parents are just like, "He stole from us. he needs to learn this lesson. But then again, you sit there and wonder what what that'll do to his long-term chances in life, >> right? And you know, that's my whole thing. But then, you know, it was that money and then it was my daughter's babysitting money and then it was another $100 for me. And literally, I came home last night from my daughter's chair. >> I put my purse on my counter cuz I had been leaving it in my room. >> I went to the bathroom, washed my hands, and in that that instant that's how quick he was. Okay. >> And the only reason I know is cuz I took my daughter to the store to get a sketchbook for school and it was gone. So I had 126 and the 100 was missing. >> Okay. Go and see if we can locate where he could be at. So And you haven't driven to the Charleston K place, right? Cuz you don't know exactly where it is. >> I don't I mean I know where it is. Like I'll be honest. Um I just drove through there like around the parking lot just to see if I recognize a car that might have been here to pick him up or if he, you know, was walking around, but I didn't. And that was, you know, 30 minutes ago. >> Okay. So, >> after I dropped my daughter off the chair. >> As the officers dig deeper, they focus on potential contacts. And it doesn't take long before tips lead them to the home of a young woman reportedly seen with a missing teen. >> About a uh Kaye Rosen. >> Kylie Rosen. >> Yeah. Kylie. >> Kylie. Okay. Who's Kylie to you guys? >> My daughter. >> Your daughter? >> Yeah. >> Okay. She doesn't know anybody named Jones. >> I don't think so. I've never heard. >> Okay. >> She's not even home right now. >> She isn't? >> No. >> Do you know where she's at? >> No, I don't. She's at work or something. I don't know where she went. >> How old is she? >> She's about to be 18. >> Okay. But you think she's at work? >> I don't know where she is, actually. I don't know. I tried calling her earlier, but she didn't answer. She's not home, though. >> I've never heard >> I've never heard of him. I mean, heard of all kinds of [ __ ] today. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. He's He's currently missing. He's been missing for about 4 days. >> Yeah. Not here. >> Okay. The information that we got was he might be with her. >> Yeah. She's not here. >> Okay. Where does she work? >> She works with me and at Dunkin Donuts, but I don't know. I don't I honestly She wasn't home last night. So, >> which Dunkin Donuts was that? >> The one over here um on uh what is it? 41 or whatever. >> Is it in the gas station next to the subway? No. >> Is it down south of Midway? >> Yeah, it's right across the street. >> Yeah, Hancock next to him. If you guys hear anything about him or whatever the case may be, give us a call. Okay. >> All right. Yeah, I'll I'll try calling her. >> All right. So, >> a day after the investigation began, officers were led to a 34year-old woman's residence where disturbing allegations surfaced suggesting she wasn't just hiding the teen, but also actively encouraging inappropriate behavior. Just going to read off the search warrant Tuesday so you know what's going on. All right. And next you know you can do whatever you want to do with this paperwork. All right. >> 221 should be in route to you. >> Oh yeah. We just have you step out the way. >> You can bring your water too if you want. >> Have a seat. Is that a piece of gum that somebody put in my gun? Yep. >> Nice. The arrest didn't hold her for long as she bonded out the next day for $5,000. However, her actions come with lasting consequences, and under federal law, her name will be forever included in the offender registry. Number one, irresponsible mother leaves her child in the car and faces the consequences. On December 19th, 2022, officers responded to a shopping mall after reports that an infant was left alone in a vehicle for over 30 minutes with no adult in sight. What they find, however, is even more alarming. >> I are Are you the owner? >> Yeah. >> So, is it okay that we leave the baby in the back seat? >> No, I was just running to see if I could get wrapping paper and then I was going to pick up sleeping. So, >> so you thought it would be a good idea to leave your infant child >> in a car? >> I think it would be a good idea. >> So, and how long have you been in the store? >> Uh, like 5 minutes, not even. >> So, I've had someone sitting out here for over 30 minutes saying that you've been here 30 minutes with car. >> I was not out here for 30 minutes. >> Okay. Can I see your license? >> Yeah. >> Don't bring your baby out in the car. [Applause] I wouldn't bring your baby out in the cold. I'd leave him in the car. >> Yeah, you can leave him. >> Talk to him. >> Well, he's >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I need to see your license. >> I have to get my my purse on. >> Okay, let's go inside. >> I just left my >> So >> So, what did uh what did they say out there? She said that they entered the store about 12:43. Uh car was parked out front. Baby was in the back still running. They exited a chop in still there. That's when he called us. >> Well over well over 30 minutes. >> But I also ran back out. >> But again, the issue is it's leaving a brand new baby by itself in a running car. Your your doors are unlocked. Someone could have walked up, opened that front door, and drove away. >> I was right here. I know, but I was watching. I ran after >> So, what would you be able to do if someone got in your car, took your baby, ran off? >> That's It's a It's a That's an issue. >> So, it's not like I was I know, but I >> Have you ever done this before? >> One other time. [Music] >> But once I was going to get my I was just going to pay for like get him hard car and then pay for one. >> The engine was running. The door was unlocked and the infant had been left alone for over 30 minutes. But it doesn't stop there. The woman now lies to the officers about it. And shockingly, she's done the same thing before. >> Oh, I didn't I cuz I literally was just going to park there for two seconds. Right. >> Got a handful of things going on. >> I'm trying to stop. I know. >> Right. You're in fire lane. You left your vehicle running, which we don't allow in our village because people steal cars. Okay. You left your child unattended in the car. And it sounded like you had a question if you were free to go. No, that's a crime what you're what you did. Those are all criminal issues. So, you know, honesty is usually the best policy. >> And I'm being honest, >> but you said 5 minutes. That's not even close to honest >> cuz I No, but I went back and forth. It's not like I left him in the car. Just like remember me. >> I went back and forth. >> I don't know when they gave you the ticket last time when you left them in the car. >> And I got your keys, took them out of the van, said don't do it again. >> Yeah. But you did it again. >> I this I ran. Okay. God, I literally ran back and forth. I was right here watching the car. >> I wasn't like in the Starlight shopping. >> Well, as soon as I heard the name, I knew exactly what it was. And it was the exact same thing. >> Literally. >> Yeah. Last time you left him in the van running at Target. >> I know. But I ran in to check if they had wrapping paper. Ran back out to check on him. Called my husband, told him what wrapping paper there was. Ran back out and then I told him what, you know, like we were trying to figure out the inches of wrapping paper or whatever. And then was that >> husband or ex-husband? Last time you told me his ex-husband. >> Well, whatever he is, I don't know. >> You don't know? >> We kind of go back and forth. He's not my husband. We're not like married Mary, but we've been together for since high school. >> Okay. >> Um, >> you're going to be with us for a minute. >> Sometimes it's easier to call my husband. I don't know. Whatever. >> Sometimes it's easier just calling my husband. >> Where's he at right now? >> Uh, I'm home. Right. >> Last time you said you were living with your mom, right? I go back and forth. I'm >> But you It was Grace Lake that you were staying. >> Yeah. >> I wasn't in the traffic. I just ran in, ran out, ran in, ran out. >> The officer is well aware she's done this before. What's concerning is that she still doesn't see the risk. >> I just got here still. I saw the name. I recognize the name that last time I had to carry him in. He was crying in the car. I know. I I was at Alta and then I was like, "Oh, let me see if they ever do the van." >> Where's the van? >> Oh, um getting work done. >> You said the husband. Well, husband. Is it actual husband or divorced or separated? What is it? >> We're just not married. >> And he's he's at home. >> Yeah. Where is your mom around still or is she working? >> I don't remember if I have his name. >> It's been a while. >> I don't remember. Did you say you had an open case with DCFS? >> Um I think we Yeah. I'm not sure exactly. I talked to a lady and >> Yeah, cuz I'm pretty sure I contacted DCFS about you last time and I never got a phone call back. So, I don't know if it's still pending or not. >> Yeah, she came. She said, you know, she fine. >> She came and what? >> She came to see my house. She said everything fine. She talked to my cat. >> Before that, did you ever have any contact with VCFs before? >> No. >> Yeah. But I mean, especially the way that people are stealing cars. I mean, that's why I said >> two or three days just in our town. And I mean in our village, >> I don't care about that. I don't I don't think like I'm naive, I guess. I don't think about that stuff. >> Well, I mean, you need to watch the news cuz >> I don't watch the news. I don't like hearing about all the bad stuff that happens. >> They present the unfortunate truth. You need to know what's going on. >> I don't I My husband always tells me, "You live in a bubble." I'm like, >> "Yeah." Yeah. Because you know what's happens is that's why there's towns that actually you get a ticket for leaving your keys in the car and leaving it running. Really? >> That's why. It's still cars. To make matters worse, the vehicle was a rental. One unlocked door and someone could have driven off with a child inside. >> I mean, and it's not just that, oh, they stole your car. No big deal. Like that car belongs to Ian Holings. It's a rental. >> Yeah, it's a rental. >> So, like that's their rental. They don't want their car sold. You know what I mean? >> Cuz they're stolen and you use those vehicles for very >> robberies, armed robbery, shootings. >> It could be yours and paid off, but that car is not going to be used to go to church. You know what I mean? So now they're going to do even crazier things, but the stolen, not theirs. They don't care. >> I Yeah, I don't. >> It's a spiral. >> I know people steal cars. I didn't realize they steal cars. >> So, real quick, everyone know what's going to happen today. >> DCFS will be contacted again cuz it's it's not my case. It's theirs. He's going to do it. So, they may have a follow up from them and you're going to get a ticket for endangering the life of a child. Okay. You have a court date. You'll be able to go home.
