Things were already going badly for these women, but running from officers only made sure the situation got much worse. Here are five cases when Karens think running is a good idea and it ends bad. Number five, woman turned simple traffic stop into serious charges. On September 29th, 2025, officers on patrol received reports that a driver with a suspended license was out on the road. Here's what happened when they finally pulled the vehicle over for a traffic stop. >> Hello. >> Hi. >> How you doing? I'm Sergeant Sebastian with the Aken Police Department. How are you? >> I'm good. How are you? >> Pretty good. Are you the registered owner of the car? >> Yes. >> Do you have a valid driver's license? >> Yes, I Yes, I do, but it's not only >> Okay. Do you mind sitting back down in your car there for me and we'll kind of get it figured out? >> Are you Miss Jayla? >> Yes. >> You know you don't have a valid license, dear? >> Yes. >> I was taking I was taking my cousin down as he drive. >> It's all good. You got a driver's license on you, dear? You got any info? Hun? >> On my car? >> No, on you. >> Like a driver's license, ID card, anything? >> No. >> You good? Where you coming from? >> My mom's >> What's that? >> From my mom's >> from your mom's house. Yeah. >> Where's your mom live at? >> Okay. >> Stop. >> What's that? >> Around the corner. >> Y'all scared me. I'm sorry. You don't have to be scared. I can't stop like >> Hey, listen. As long as you ain't got nothing crazy warrant, you have any firearms on a car, anything else like that. >> I promise you, you're going to be out of here in no time. Okay? >> We're all just the same unit, dear. I promise you. I promise you. Like I said, you ain't got nothing crazy, then you're going to be out of here. I promise you. Cuz you don't have a valid license. >> I mean, run your tag. You're coming back. Not a valid driver. Okay, >> that's fine. I got I got my tent, but I got to I had to take my driver's test, honestly. >> How old are you? >> 20 >> 20. >> I'm coming from my cousin house right around the corner. >> I stayed down the street. >> Is this your cousin? >> Yeah, >> that's where you picked her up from? >> Yeah, was right down the street. I was just trying to hurry up, but it's all good. >> I'm sorry. I give you one second. Okay. >> Okay. You just told me you're >> So, like the officer was saying, we're >> What's going on? >> Hey, hun. >> Like the officer was saying, we all work together. Um, there's no guns or anything in the vehicle we need. >> Yeah, if you wouldn't mind. >> Just do me a favor and step out. Technically, since you've already verbally told us you don't have a driver's license, we can detain you, but you're being cooperative, so we're not going to do that today. While the driver appears calm and willing to cooperate, the passenger quickly becomes a different story. >> I'm stepping off the car. Listen, >> you're lying to me. >> Step off the car. >> Cuz what the >> Why you lying? >> Cuz what the >> I'm trying to get you out of here as soon as possible. All to us. >> So, are you going to tell me the truth or do I have to put you in cuffs and arrest you? >> No, you don't. >> All right. So, I already told you that's my >> And you got some petty warrant I don't care about. You >> a valid temp though? You said? >> Yeah, I'm working on my I took it on the computer. I passed, but I got to go get it. Yeah. Should we go get the copy of it? >> Yeah, I got the copy of it. >> Is uh Who's this with you? Are they a valid driver? >> No. >> No. >> Have you ever had a license, huh? >> No. I'm a new driver, man. >> Okay. >> Well, where you going to get? >> Um, my house right down the street. Bacon. >> That's where you're going. Or you're taking her there. >> I'm going. Okay. Why would you say you're 20 if you're only 17? There's something that you need to be 20 >> for? No, it ain't. I don't know, bro. It's just This was just kind of like I've been on Facebook and I just just pulling out on just pulling out. >> When he comes back over here, tell him this is a terrible job here. You could have easily gotten around him and took off if you wanted to. For real. When he comes back over here, >> just do that. Do it for me, please. It'll it'll amuse me. >> All right. >> Hey, were you ever on Louisiana? >> Louisiana? ever have police contact on the street of Louisiana? >> Don't know where that is. >> Why are you asking him? >> Because I'm making sure you you are who you say you are. When did you get your ID? Were you pregnant? Have a kid? >> No. >> Did you have a kid? >> Yes. >> And when you had your ID When did you get your ID picture taken? >> Probably like a year ago. >> Your ID picture don't that you gave us? don't look like you. >> When was the last time you got a driver's license? >> I never had a driver's license. >> You never had one? >> So now you're >> Have you ever got an ID then? >> Tension builds as the passenger continues acting suspiciously and within seconds the situation suddenly escalates. >> Why you keep lying? >> Okay. What? >> Okay. Come back over here for me. Come here. >> Come here. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. Don't make it worse. Don't make it worse. >> Relax. Relax. >> Are you Are you a missing person or something? >> Okay. Why' you do all that? >> Okay. Well, you just made things a lot worse for you. Why would you make us do that? Huh? >> I don't know. >> Come on. Have a seat. >> No. Sorry. doesn't cut it. You know, the relationship between the police and the community out here ain't great. And you out and doing stupid stuff like that. That's dumb. Why would you do that, >> cousin? Why would youing run, bro? >> All right, listen. It's water under the bridge right now. Are you okay? >> It's water under the bridge right now. Okay, we need to re That means I'm not going to be mad at you for right now. Okay, you made a dumb mistake. Hopefully, you just learned from that lesson. All right. It could be a lot worse. Don't do that stuff. Don't put us in that predicament again. You understand me? Please don't do that. All because you're a missing person. >> Yeah. >> She didn't even follow me yet, though. >> Okay. So, what are you so concerned about? Who are you actually? >> That's my name. You could >> Okay. Yeah. You're not You're not coming up as a missing person. >> Cuz she didn't call you. I just got into my Listen. Listen. Then you Miss Summers. Listen, then you would have been out of here. If you're not labeled as a missing person, we don't do anything. >> I didn't know that. I just forgot and told my mom to >> Okay, but listen, we can help with that. If there's concerns about you and your mom, there's stuff that we can do to help with that. But running from the police like you just did, that's that's not good. >> With the officer keeping things steady, the passenger eventually opens up and explains why she reacted the way she did. So this fight happened at >> this happened over on Louisiana. >> No. >> Where? At my mom's around the corner. >> What's that address? >> I don't know the exact address. I could take you there though. I really don't. >> I don't know the exact street either. >> Listen. This is going to be the difference between you going to Dan Street today. >> No, she literally just moved. I'm telling I could take you there, but I don't know the address. She literally >> with your mom. >> Yes. >> Did the cops come? >> I don't know. I left. I don't know. I left before. >> What? Why? Why'd you run? >> I don't know. >> I still don't think that's her. >> Cuz you obviously know who she is and you're refusing to tell us. >> I'm not refusing. >> We've asked you how many times. >> If anything, you're probably going to help. >> Can you grab my phone with my phone? >> And they can fingerprint you. They'll find out who you are. >> Are you take you to a dance and they fingerprint you? You're going to come up and we could just go to my mom's. I could take you around the corner and she could I >> It doesn't seem like you want to go to your mom's. >> I do. We can go there. I can take you there. I promise you I'll take you there. >> This is silly. >> Please. Cuz I I got a baby. I got a little baby. I just didn't want to. I don't know what's going on. I got a little baby in my mind and I don't have no support. So if I go listen, >> Miss Tracy, >> what part did you think that this is going to help you in your situation? >> I don't know. I wouldn't have been. >> You can't be doing that stuff. >> I got a baby. A little baby. If I go to jail, I don't know what the happened. My mom worked all day every day. I'm sorry that I ran, but really honestly, that's why I ran because I got a baby I'm thinking nothing about but my kid. >> I can't >> Well, listen. All that stuff could be sorted out with us. You can tell us that stuff. Okay. >> The exchange with a passenger starts off steady and productive. Yet, the calm doesn't last long. >> And plus, if you came up as a missing person, we just take you home. We we don't take you to jail for that. We just take you home. >> I'm going to I'm going to call EMS to take a look at you. Okay. We have to Well, I understand, but we have to do it just so when they show up here, you're not freaked out. >> I did. >> Yeah. I wasn't going to push you down or nothing. >> I'm so sorry. Like, I don't need >> We just need to do We need to make better decisions. Okay. >> Um so, when you see EMS pull up, that's what they're doing. They're here to check you out. You don't have to freak out or be upset. Um you do your thing. Okay. >> Yeah. life. We know he sure >> miss >> what? I don't want your phone in my face. >> Listen, I need to take a picture of you. >> We We got to identify you. >> I don't care. >> Crazy. >> I don't want that phone in my face. You already got all these cameras in my face. Move. >> I can stand here all day. >> Well, I can too. So what? >> Why can't we just work together? >> I don't want your phone in my face. You already got all these cameras in my face. Leave it alone. >> All right, man. I'll just use your picture from the camera. >> Okay, cool. Cool. >> What? What is going on? >> Why are you being like that? >> We're being like this because you ran. >> Why did I run? Cuz y'all pulled up. >> No, you ran because you thought you had a warrant or were coming up as a missing person as you originally stated. And if you remember me telling her that if everything was okay, you guys were going to get let go. So I don't know why you're acting like we're the devil here. You're the one that decided to run. This is her. I found her. Elena, >> she's got a warrant. Contempt of court. And she's 22. So she's going to county today. >> I'll start her care. She's got a warrant for improper discharge. Contempt of court. Improper discharge. A theft. >> Improper discharge. 2021. It's 2026. Leave my alone. God take >> finally. >> Out of nowhere, she raises her voice and starts talking down to the officers, blaming everyone but herself. >> I got a great support system. >> You want to search the car? wrong with you. I spit on everybody in it. Don't ever disrespect. >> No, I don't give a about none of that. Don't tell people. My kids will never go. >> I'm not white. I'm biracial. And I ain't talking to you. My kids will never get took away. What you talking about? I got more, man. My support system was great. >> Number. >> All right. So, uh, improperly discharging, theft. Anything else? >> Filled up here on lararseny. And then she's got a file up here on a PV hearing. >> On a DV >> PV. >> All right, Lieutenant Sinsley. It is 502. I'm at the exchange and dodge at the gas and save. What's your name, ma'am? Before bringing the stop to a close, the officers briefly revisit the driver and passengers accounts. >> What is it? >> What did you record? >> It's just a recording cuz I'm interviewing about what happened out here. Did you see what happened between the officers and the passenger from your your uh vehicle? >> Yes. >> What happened? >> Tried to run. >> She tried to run. Do you know why? >> I'm not about to be in court for that. No, I don't know why. >> So, what happened when she tried to run? >> Y'all caught her. >> Was there any Did they tackle her? Did they throw her to the ground? Did they use any force or strikes on her? >> Why was the ambulance here? Did they? >> Well, we just like to get people checked out at any time that like that dent in the car. I want to make sure it wasn't injuring her. >> Permission to put that camera in my face. That's rude. Like, I don't like that. >> I told you I'm going to conduct a recorded interview. You want me to hold it down here? >> No, I don't want I want you to get that camera on my face. >> All right. Anything anything you saw that was relevant to the investigation that I should be be aware of? >> No, I didn't. >> Okay. Are you a valid driver? >> Of course not. They just gave me a ticket. >> Okay. Is that your vehicle and your name? Okay. Anything else I need to know? >> All right. End of the interview is 503. Lieutenant Sinsley. It's 504. I'm still at exchange and dodge gas and safe rear of 214. Ma'am, what's your name? >> What the >> I got to interview about what happened. What is your name? >> Oh, I'm not no about no interview. What? Y'all trying to put me on YouTube or something? Bro, watch out, bro. >> This is for our body warning camera, man. >> No, y'all got all them cameras. Move. I'm like, thanks. No. >> Did the noing interview, bro? What the >> Did the damage to the vehicle? >> No. >> The cruiser. Do you remember how that happened? >> No. How the did I damage? He slammed me into it. I didn't go into the cruiser. >> Okay. What? Why did that happen? >> The Cuz I ran. I tried to run. >> Why did you try to run? >> I tried to run cuz I got warrants. You know why I tried to run, bro? Get out of my face. >> What kind of warrants? Bro, leave me alone. Bro, leave me alone. Bro, are you okay right now? >> No, I'm not. I'm not okay at all. I'm not. Leave me the alone. I'm not saying to you. Period. You >> period. >> You got checked by EMS, right? >> No, I don't care about nothing that you're saying. Leave me the alone. >> All right. End of the interview in >> By the end of the encounter, the passenger was taken in on her outstanding warrants and charged with resisting arrest without violence. Number four. 18-year-old gets confronted by the police and [music] makes things worse. On October 8th, 2024, officers out on patrol encountered a vehicle going 65 mph in a 45 mph speed [music] limit zone. Here's what happened next when the officers confronted the driver. I'm officer Boss from Bland Police Department. Okay. The reason for the stop is for your speed. You know how fast you were going? >> Going 65 and a 45. You get the driver's license and insurance with you. Who you calling? >> I'm sorry. >> My girlfriend. >> Okay. Is there >> I'm trying to >> Oh, all right. Okay, ma'am. Why don't we just start with uh Do you have any ID card on you whatsoever? >> Anything with your name on it? What is in those cans there? Margaritas. Do you have a wallet or anything on you? So, you have nothing with your name or anything like that? How old are you? I'm sorry. >> 21. Okay. Okay. What's your first name? I can't I Sorry, I can't hear you. Okay, I'll be right back. All right, just stay in the car. Here's what I'm going to have you do. All right, cuz I can't understand what you're saying. So, if you could please type your your full name in there with your date of birth so I can make sure that you do have a valid driver's license. >> Rather than cooperating, she focuses on her phone and ignores the officers, leaving them little choice but to step things up. >> Cuz I have to make sure that you have a driver's license. 20. I'm fine. What are you doing on your cell phone there? >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. What are we What are we trying to do? Unless you don't have a driver's license and you never went to the driver's side. Do you have a driver's license? You don't have a driver's license. You've never been given a driver's license. Okay. Now we're getting somewhere. What is your name? >> Do you have a driver's license? Okay. Well, at this point, um, you can give me your name and we can just settle this out here on the street or I I don't know why you won't give me your name. You're not You're mumbling. You're giving me like a You're giving me your first name. You're not giving me your name. You're on Facebook. You're on the phone with somebody else. I don't understand why you can't just give me your full attention right now. You're trying to what? >> What is I What's the purpose of one second? >> You're on mute, so you're not talking to anybody on the phone. >> What? Look, that that's not important to me right now. I don't I'm not trying to be rude. I don't really care. I don't care what what you're trying to talk about. You're going 20 miles an hour over the speed limit, okay, with open alcohol in the car and you don't have a driver's license. All right. So, those are three things that are illegal that you can't be doing. I'd like to think that if I didn't have a driver's license, I would be trying not to get pulled over. What is your last name? I I cannot hear you. You need to speak up. The officers try to level with her, yet her indifferent reaction makes it clear they'll have to take things up a notch. >> Why are you scrolling through Facebook again? What you do now is step out of the car, please. >> You're okay. You're okay right now. >> If you don't mind the car, please. Okay. No weapons inside the car or anything like that. Okay. Very good. Stand right here. >> No, no, no. You're good. Over there. >> So, here's the deal. >> Okay. I don't know what your deal is. >> I don't know what your deal is. I don't know why you won't cooperate at all. Okay. I need to know your name. Okay. Cuz you're going to be getting a number of tickets tonight. >> Why? >> Why? >> I've explained this to you three times. You're driving 65 miles an hour in a 45. You don't have a driver's license. The state of Illinois has not given you the privilege to drive. >> Okay. You can't show me insurance. And there's open out on you show me a little slip with a mailing. >> You can't even get the phone >> because you can't get off Facebook. You won't even talk. >> So, what is your name? >> Please write this out. Please stop and see your name. Where you going? >> Just stay right there. Just stay right here. >> I don't know why you're you're doing all this. >> I'm trying to learn. >> Just stay over here with us. What's your first name? Spell. >> Can I write it down? >> If you'd like to. Sure. >> Have you ever been given an ID card of any sort? >> No. And your date of birth on there as well. >> Good job. You have a middle name. Hold on to that. >> I'll be right back. >> Just stay back here. Stay back here. >> Can I just sit down? >> Just sit right on the bumper there. Sit on the bump. >> You can come back here. Right here on the bumper is good. After getting her out of the car, the officers start piecing things together. But a puzzling detail quickly catches their attention. >> No, stay here. Stay here. >> If I don't want her to get hit. >> Yeah, come back over here. And if you want to sit, >> stand over here real quick. >> Then just go ahead and sit down the curb. That's all. We just want if a car comes by, we don't want you to get hit. It's just simple. >> Like nothing on here. >> You can sit right there. That's fine. Not inside. Not inside. >> Okay. Well, right now you can sit on the ground or you can stand. Okay. Um, right now she's going to be getting some tickets. I don't know the situation about her driving license or anything like that, but um, you're 23. >> How old How old is she? >> 21. >> Okay. So, just can you stand more, please? I just >> So, listen. Here's where we're at. Okay. >> You're I don't Are you giving me the right name? Okay, cuz it's not we're not getting anything back on you. All right. Um, why don't you confirm your date of birth for me? What do you mean? >> What's your birthday? >> What time do you live? >> Okay. Have you ever had an ID card of any sort? >> Yes, I don't have it. >> If you did have Okay. The reason I'm asking >> at home. >> The reason I'm asking is because if you were issued one ever, we would be able to see that. But it's showing that that that nothing's coming up with that being the date of birth. >> Yes. >> Okay. It's leading me to believe that you might not be being very truthful with me. Okay. So, we can do a couple of things here. I need to figure out who you are. I can do that here or I can do that back at the PD. Okay. So, if you're lying to me about your name, then you need to give me the right name or else I'm just going to bring you back to the police department. I'm going to arrest you. Bring you back to the police department and fingerprint you and figure out who you are there. Okay, if you're lying because you have warrants off your arrest, that's probably something we can handle out here, okay? Because Illinois doesn't have cash bail. So, there are things we can do out here to get you home tonight. If you're going to continue to lie to us, then I'm going to have to bring you back to the police department. I'm going to have to fingerprint you and I'm going to and I'm if it comes up that you're lying about your name, you're going to get an instructing charge. Okay? So, it's your choice. >> The officers give her several chances to cooperate, but she seems determined to keep testing their patience. get arrested. It's your choice. How do you want to proceed? Okay. Now, >> can I can I get my phone recooked in? >> No, you can't have your phone right now. No, because you're being detained right now for five separate charges. >> Okay. You can minimize that by cooperating and giving me your name. Cuz the fact that you're thinking about it tells me that you're lying about your name. >> I'm not lying about my name. >> So, what is there to think about? >> I'm not thinking about I'm g I gave you my name. like I'm pretty dumb city. >> Okay. So, that's the final answer. >> No. >> Just give me your name. >> I'm trying to give you my name. I'm going to give you my name. I have my ID. >> What's your name? >> I'm going to give it to you. >> You're not getting back in the car right now. So, >> you [clears throat] are not getting back in the driver's seat of that car. And if you try to get back in the driver seat of the car, I'm just going to place your handcuffs. You have one option right now to not get arrested right now, and that's to give me your real name and your real birthday so I can figure out who you are. >> That's your only option. Put you nice warm and chilly out here. Listen, if you have misdemeanor, if you have misdemeanor warrant, >> it's something we can deal with out here. We don't have to go back to the police department. I can't let you go right now unless I know who you are. >> And it's actually right. >> Does that make sense? >> So, what is your first name? >> Can I borrow a pen, please? >> Can you spell that for me? >> No. Come back over here. >> No. No. Come back over here. Now, step back over there. >> I can't talk to my sister. >> No. Talk. Stand over there. Okay, look. This is stand over there. Okay, >> you guys can talk later. Right now, we're telling you to stand here. Okay. >> Do you understand the rules? >> Okay. So, from here on out, you're going to stay where you are. Yes. >> Despite everything going on, she continues to ignore the officer's instructions, eventually pushing them to their limit. >> We are Listen, we're here because of you. You were playing games, which is why you're still standing out here in the cold. If you go towards the car again, I'm going to put you in handcuffs and put you in the back of my car where you'll stay. Do you understand that? >> So you you listen to this this officer. >> I'm trying to work with you, but at some point we're going to draw the line and we're going to put you in the back of that car. You committed a class B misdemeanor at minimum. You've already obstructed, which is a class A. We don't need to play this game anymore. He's already met the burden of proof for obstruction charge. Therefore, we can put handcuffs on you, put you in the back of the car, and you'll get picked up when you get picked up, not get off. Does that make sense? >> Mhm. >> Okay. Do we know the rules? Are you gonna follow them? >> Okay. >> Listen to this officer. >> Can I please get some water, though? >> I'll get it for you. On one condition, let me make sure that you haven't been drinking. >> Okay. >> What's the password for your phone? She's trying to get in. >> I'm not giving you >> She says she's not giving you your password. >> The suspect finally gives in and works with the officers, leaving them only one step away from figuring out who she really is. Can you remove the the head piece? >> I have like >> Okay. Trying to determine if this is you. Okay. Go with that. >> Just temporarily take it off and so we can make sure. Okay. When How long ago were you issued your state ID? >> Um a minute ago. I just got >> You got what? >> I just got >> Yeah, I got you. Okay. All right. >> All right. When was your ID issued? When did you get it? >> When I just got >> You said a while ago. I don't know how long ago that is. >> I'm trying to show you. You won't let me get in my phone. in your phone? >> Yes. I have a picture of my ID in my phone right now. >> Okay. Stay right here, please. Could you please hand me the keys to the car? >> And then could you please hand me your phone? Go ahead. Show me what you got to show me. What is working here? I don't believe No, I didn't say that. I don't believe that that's you based on the photo. >> With the officers nearly identifying her, the suspect makes a decision that completely changes how things unfold. >> No, stay over here. Okay. Hey, >> we're done telling you. Stay over here. Okay. Back by the bumper. over just going to be easier. Stop running. >> See if you got a K9. That'd be greatly appreciated. >> See your hands. >> Stop. I'm going to get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground. right now. Get on the ground. Oh, we got it. Five. One of custody. >> 20. Get her in the bushes behind the Toyota dealership. >> Toyota dealership. >> In the bushes behind the Toyota dealership. >> Could have been much much easier. I got her. You good? >> Got a handcuff key. So we can lock this. What began as a routine traffic stop quickly spiraled because of the suspect's decisions. In the end, she faced charges for speeding, driving on a revoked license, driving with an open container, obstructing, operating an uninsured vehicle, and resisting arrest without violence. Number three, even officers were shocked by what this woman did. On April 1st, 2025, officers responded to reports of a woman attempting to steal someone's dog outside a local restaurant. Here's what happened when they finally caught up with a female suspect in a nearby parking lot. >> Hey, come here. I know you heard me the first time, so get your right there and stop. Listen, we can do this the easy way. We can do this the hard way. So, go right there and stop. We are going to have a discussion. >> Can we discuss things? >> Yeah. Get to the end of my truck. >> All right. I will have a discussion. >> So, what are we doing at Diego's? >> Diego. Diego. >> Diego. >> Lean up against my truck. >> Lean up against my truck. Lean up against my truck. >> Either >> Either you lean up against my truck or I'm going to put you in handcuffs. >> I'll be in handcuffs. >> All right. Now, we're going to go this way. Now, what happened? >> So, basically, she walked out of the restaurant, had the beer, unhooked somebody's dog, walked across the street, started saying that it was her dog, and she started being very frontage with me, threw the bottle back here. >> So, she tried to steal someone's dog. >> She's trying to steal someone's dog. >> Yeah. >> All over now, right? >> Be vulnerable. >> No, we could never claim him. I'm just looking the area in general if there's somebody like a man and woman. >> No, we haven't caught in like an actual person doing jumping around >> suspects or anything like that.
