Parent should be the safe place kids run to, not the reason police are knocking at the door. But these adults proved that not everyone deserves that responsibility. Here are five cases when cops surprise parents in their house of horror. Number five, mom chooses to party first before being a mother. On August 7th, 2025, [music] officers responded to a troubling call from a local hotel after staff discovered a 5-year-old child wandering alone with no parent in sight. Here's what happened when officers arrived to investigate. >> You, Riley? >> Yes, sir. 42. >> Nice to meet you. What's going on? >> Um, so this morning I got a call from one of the customers saying there's a little kid running around screaming, crying. Next thing I know, my housekeeping was walking down with her and housekeeping walked into the room. Nobody was in there. It was just her, her tablet, and a bag of chips. >> Next thing you know, we're over here trying to figure out. I'm following the registration number >> 47 >> and it was her grandmother. She gave me an phone number and it was also grandmother. They both >> in one's in Bloomfield. >> But next thing you know, there should be a lady called Rose, her aunt, an invited girl >> from Bloomfield, right? Yes. And now housekeeping went back into the room to double check it. She's in there in 152, but she is on responsive spot. >> Okay. When did the initial call come out that there was a kid wandering around? >> 8:11. >> 8:11. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. And then she housekeeping found her and brought her down here. >> Yes. So, she's just in the breakfast area eating right now. >> And when housekeeping went to the room, there was nobody else in there with her >> at the time at 8:1. Yes. Now, she's in there. No. >> Okay. All right. We'll go talk with the kid. >> Morning. >> Housekeeping. Okay. >> May. >> How you doing? May. >> How old are you? >> Five. Okay. >> Do you guys know her last name? >> Probably. >> That's under the registration name. >> Who is the registered >> Dwayne? Go ahead. >> Dwayne >> Dwayne. You guys seen Dwayne? >> Do you know who the female is? >> No. >> Mrs. McKay. After getting a quick rundown from hotel staff, officers head to the room to confront the child's mother. And what they find inside leaves them stunned. >> Is it good? >> And then Rose Bloomfield to pick her up. >> And that's aunt. How long have they been staying at the hotel for? >> I believe just the night. Just the region just for one night. >> Okay. >> Maybe you want to stay with the kid and I'll go and talk to >> Yeah. >> mom or whoever. >> Say nonresponsive like she's not answering the door or she's just passed out. >> She passed out or just not answering. >> She's passed out cuz I tried. >> All right, we can open it. >> Make sure she's okay. Yeah, I will. >> Hey, Farington police. Ma'am, wake up. >> Ma'am, Farmington Police, can you wake up? Police department, come on. You got to wake up. Officers are stunned when she fails to state her child's age, and things quickly spiral when she starts giving them false information. >> Hi there. Are you all right? >> Yeah. >> What the heck are you doing? >> Hey, that time to check. >> I don't know about your checkout time. >> What's up? >> What's the problem? >> Where's your daughter? >> She's at home. >> What's your daughter's name? Mai. >> Mai. >> Yeah. >> Okay. How old is she? >> She's like two. >> She's two. >> She should be with my my grandma. Okay. >> She's two years old. >> How many kids do you have? >> One. >> And Mai is 2 years old? >> Yeah. She's like, >> where's home? >> Bloomfield. >> Bloomfield. Yeah. >> What's your grandma's name? >> Fanny. >> Fanny. >> Okay. We have her in the lobby. And she's not two years old. >> How old is she? >> My grandma? >> No, your daughter. >> My daughter's only two. >> Really? She's a big 2-year-old. Okay. >> What's your name, ma'am? >> Da. >> Where's Dwayne at? >> Yeah. Is there a Dwayne that's staying here? >> Is it just you? >> Just me and my sisters, but my sisters had to leave. I was supposed to leave at my mom's place right now. I'm trying to practice this with the people around me now. >> Drinking a little bit last night. >> Last night? Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, why how long you been here for? >> Last night. >> Since last night. What time did you guys check in? >> M I have to say like maybe 8 9ish last night. >> Okay. You and your sister? >> Yeah. What's your sister's name? >> Malaya. >> Malayaia. Where she at? >> She's out there in Colorado taking her mom to court. Long last time that was mine. >> But she checked in last night with you guys. >> Yeah. >> And then what time did she leave? >> Uh like around 6:7 this morning. >> 4. >> Do you know what time it is right now? >> Oh my god. >> Surprisingly, the suspect does not even know the age of her own child. But even worse things are coming because the suspect decides that the best course of action for her right now is to lie to the officers. How intoxicated did you guys get last night? >> So reason why we're here is obviously we got your daughter over there in the lobby and she's you said she's 2 years old. So that's concerning, right? And then housekeepers come in here >> and check on you guys because your daughter's out in the hallway. >> They come in here and nobody's in here. >> New Mexico boy. >> So where were you at? >> The last New Mexico boy. Mary Paul. >> Where were you at during that time, ma'am? When >> obviously laying here? >> Well, no. They said they came in and they said nobody was in here. >> I was like here. I don't I don't remember nothing. I just remember you waking me up and I'm like, "What's going on?" >> Well, they came in here about maybe 30 minutes ago because your daughter was outside. >> I don't remember. >> They came in and you weren't here. Your daughter was by herself. >> So, were you gone or were you in here? >> I have no idea. Literally, I literally just woke up when you were saying we're here. >> Okay. Do you have anything for her in here? I see obviously the >> tablet. >> Nothing else that's in here. Okay. >> No. >> Oh, you see how this looks, right? >> It's bad. >> Yeah. It doesn't look very good. >> It's not very good >> cuz you're in here. You're super intoxicated. I mean, you won't even wake up. >> Exactly. I sound so much >> and then your daughter's out to run around in the hallway, you know. That's >> That's bad. >> That's potentially uh neglect. >> I know. So, >> as the grandmother arrives to pick up the child, she also provides officers with troubling details about the suspect's ongoing habits >> cuz she said that she had left the her with either you or the ant. And you guys were supposed to watch her and she was coming here to party. >> Well, that's not what she came. >> Okay. But yeah, that's what she's saying right now. >> She's apparently not Okay. Apparently, she wanted to go party and read, but she didn't. Cuz normally me or my son have her at the house and we don't let her take her if she knows that if we know she's going to do that. That's why we always tell her you leave the baby here if you're going to go do whatever. >> We don't tell her no because we know she's going to do it anyway. So, she sleep whatever she's, you know. >> With everything laid out in front of them, officers decide it's time to move forward and close out the case. >> Yeah. So she lied about arrangements and grandma said there were never any arrangements. We don't let her we always take her when she didn't go party cuz we know she's going to do it anyways and she said they were just going to go to the park. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> I'll be there right now. >> 15. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Can we just have you step outside real quick? >> All right. Sorry. Back. Okay. Remember to rest. Okay. Go and step out of the bed. Do you want to take your phone with you to have phone numbers? >> I'll have a report. shoes. >> Na'am, did you have a vehicle or anything here that might have diapers or something for your kid? >> Okay. >> Did you need anything else? >> No. >> Okay. >> You got your phone? >> Yeah. The night concludes with the suspect taken into custody, charged with child abuse. Number four, mom's drinking problem leaves daughter to handle the consequences. On August 31st, 2024, officers responded to a residence after a concerned caller reported her intoxicated mother was still trying to get behind the wheel. Here's what happened when officers arrived to intervene. Hi. Are you the mom? What's going on? >> My daughter's crazy. You You can talk to her. I'm on my way walking. Thank you. >> Okay, that's fine. You able You guys want to talk to me? >> Yes. I'm pretty sure she has the key in her pocket. I picked that car. >> Who are you? >> I'm the daughter. >> You're the daughter. Okay. >> I picked the car over there so she can in my name so she could get to work and things. And I told her, "Do not do nothing stupid in the car cuz it's on my name." There's nothing. >> Did she do that? >> Yes, she did. backup university. Ma'am, >> you need to stop. I need to talk to you. What's wrong? >> So, you got to take your purse off. You're detained right now. We got to talk to you. >> Hold on. Take it off. >> Why am I detained? >> Because there is a allegation with domestic battery. No. >> Take it off. >> Oh, yeah. My daughter ripped my shirt. >> Okay, that's fine. Take it off first. >> But why? Take off your purse. >> But why? >> Just take it off. >> Okay. >> Set that down on the ground. >> No. No. Don't put me in handcuffs, sir. >> Turn around. >> Just put it. Okay. I will investigate that, too. Just put it on the ground. >> You don't have to be that aggressive. >> Put it down. >> Hold on. >> Okay. >> Put your hands behind your back. You're going to be detained. Okay. >> But for what reason? >> For domestic battery. >> Wait a minute. Wait. Whoa. Whoa. >> I'm going to read your rights and talk to you. Okay. >> But my daughter didn't. That's fine. I will talk to her, too. >> Okay. Okay. But can you detain her? >> Yeah. Give me a second. Okay. >> Okay. But you don't have to put me in handcuffs, though, sir. >> No, that's how we do it. >> Okay. But Oh, hold on. Hold on. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. That That's a little too tight right there, sir. >> Okay, that's fine. Stop. Just hold it like this. See, you got like a whole finger this. >> Oh, okay. See, you got enough to rotate it around. >> I'm not even going to put it that tight. >> Oh, okay. Do you live here? >> No. No. No. No. >> The arrest itself comes with little resistance, but the suspect's situation worsens when her daughter begins revealing troubling details. >> But can y'all detain her, too? >> I'm going to have to do that, too. So, just give me a second. >> Okay. >> Longer this takes. You have anything sharp on you, ma'am? >> Oh, no. >> Okay. >> I'm just going to check it real quick. >> Nothing in there. No pockets in this. Okay. That's fine. >> Okay. You have a seat. Okay. >> Ow. Ow. [ __ ] >> Yeah. It's a little hard. >> Get out my purse. >> I'm going to put it up there. Everything's going to be kept with all your stuff. Okay. 9425 Oregon David 3525 >> 51 in custody >> in custody. >> Do you need medical attention? >> Do you need medical attention? >> No, I'm fine. >> How she do this? >> This grabbing on me. >> Okay. You're saying that she has a key? >> Yes. I'm pretty sure she put it in her pants. >> There's nothing in her pants. I checked. Yeah. >> So, did she really But I >> Who's this? >> This is my boyfriend. >> Your boyfriend? >> Yes. >> Okay. Does he live here with you? >> Yes. >> It's his place. >> Okay. All righty. Um, she grabbed on her you and calls this her name >> because So, I called her cuz she knows I told her do not the car is in my name. I told her don't drive. Don't drink and drive or none of that cuz it's in my name. Nothing has ever been in my name. I don't want my name messed up. >> And when I call, >> this is your car. >> It's in my name. My basically my grandma paid for it. >> Who drives her? >> She was driving it. She only had the car for one day. >> Okay. >> And it's in my name. And I told her I said, "I don't want you doing that stuff cuz I don't want my name messed up. She has DUI. I don't need her getting pulled over with nothing in my name." So when she got here, there was another person driving it. And I said, "Why is he driving? He recently just left." According to the daughter, DUI incidents are nothing new for the suspect. And she then details how their argument escalated into a physical confrontation. >> And I told her, I said, "Before you got this car, before I paid anything my name," I told her, "I do not want that happening cuz I don't want to marathon." >> I told her to I asked her to get out the car because I it's in my name. I don't need nothing happening to her. I took the keys out and that's when she follows me inside. She's pulling on me >> into the apartment. Yes. into the apartment. And she's we basically end up throwing each other around because I'm trying to get away from her to get the key out of her reach cuz I don't need her, you know, she's drunk. I don't want her getting in the car and pulling off and hurting herself. That's the main reason her my grandma took her recent car away from her because of that. >> Okay. What does your mom? >> She stays like the rush. I don't know the the whole address. Actually, she probably don't want to go to my grandma house. Her mom >> she's going to have to go to jail. >> Oh, she's going to jail. You're not posting. >> I'll give you my my grandma's address. And that's >> Let me get everybody's information. Let's start with you first. >> Okay. >> One sec. >> What's your last name? First name? >> Asia. A s i. >> Yeah. Oh, one second. Uh, what's your middle initial? D birth. Yes. >> How old are you? >> 18. >> Was Was your boyfriend here with this entire thing? Yes. >> Okay. >> You live here, right? 85. >> Yes. >> Uh what's her last name? >> Yes. Her maiden name is >> Yes. >> How to spell that? >> Uh first name >> Aisha. Can you spell that? >> I E S H A. >> Uh, do you know her middle name? Middle initial. >> Zero. Not zero. Oh. >> Oh. >> Yeah. >> Uh, what's her date of birth? >> I don't. >> We don't know. Okay, that's fine. >> With a daughter's statement now on record, officers returned to the suspect to give her a chance to explain her side. >> I do need to talk to you, too, but do me a favor. You just wait with this officer. Okay. I'm not going to put you cuss or anything, but she's making allegations, too, so I'm going to have to do the same. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, wait with this officer. Can you give her some paperwork? >> Yeah. >> Sedan breakfast 2400. >> Oh, sorry. I can't see. So, have you ever got your rights read to you? >> I got to read your rights before I talk to you further. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will will be used against you in court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you or you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, want to be appointed to represent you before any question if you wish. You can decide any time to exercise these rights and ask not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each of these rights I have explained to you? >> Having these rights in mind, do you wish you talk to us now regarding what happened? Hi. Why am I What am I going to do? >> Do you want to talk to us now? >> Okay, fine. >> Well, you got to give me a yes or no. You understand your rights, right? >> Okay. Do you want to talk to us now? >> Okay. Okay. >> That's a yes or no. >> Yes or no? >> Okay. What happened? >> Well, I got money. Came over here and dropped my daughter off. >> Mhm. >> I had one of my friends driving. I have been drinking >> and I don't have license >> and he has license. >> I mean that's the right thing to do, right? >> Yeah. It was a friend. >> So he's irrelevant. >> So she caught the attitude and then >> she went to snatch the keys and then she dragged me out the car. That's why my shirt and stuff is all red. So we got in her apartment and then she wanted to start doing all so she hit me. So yeah, I had to defend myself and she's my daughter chewing up cuz she's big. Hey, that's why my shirt and stuff is all ripped. >> The suspect maintains that her daughter caused the fight. But as officers dig deeper, her claims begin to conflict with the evidence already gathered. >> Can you turn around real quick? Well, I really can't. But >> I can't move. >> Turn around. >> I >> You can just move your leg over. >> Oh, see she ripped all my shirt, all of that. >> Okay. >> So, yeah. >> So, Okay. So, >> so I had grabbed It it was outside first. At first, right? >> Yeah. >> Yep. My uh >> it's her it's the car is under his her name. Why don't you want to give the keys back to her? >> Cuz my thing is so my friend was driving with license at that I bought that vehicle. >> So just cuz it's >> I was told that the grandma bought the car. It's under Asia's name. >> My mother and I paid my mom and for the vehicle. >> Okay. Why is it under Asia's name? >> Because I just said I don't have license. Okay. >> And my friend was driving because I don't have a license. He takes me back and forth to work. >> Okay. So, starting with the with the initial car incident. Then what happened? >> What in the is my sister here? >> Just talk to me. Ignore them. Talk to me. >> You're outside. She grabbed your shirt. >> Just grab it. She basically just ripped me off the beat. >> Trying to fight for the keys, right? the key to the car >> before then. >> Okay. >> In the house and then we got back in the vehicle and then that's when she end up ripping it more cuz she had already silent. >> That's like over here. >> Okay. >> And she kept playing and then that's when we went in there and I was just standing there by the door >> and I was like just give me keys so I can go give keys like you drink. Is this outside by the door and by the car? >> Apartment door? >> Yes. >> The suspect keeps talking and before long she shares information that suddenly changes how the officers view the situation. >> Yeah, I've been drinking but I'm not driving. So what's the big deal? >> Mhm. >> And I told her said, "Well, that's well take the place off then take the vehicle to the house." >> Mhm. And I was just sitting there waiting, waiting. And I came back outside. I was like, >> I'm about to get ready to go. >> She was in the vehicle. And yes, I did. I took snatched the keys and I threw it. >> Okay. And then what happened? >> And that's when she was like, I'm a part of the police. Okay. I said, well, obviously you put your hands on me first. I did not touch you at all. >> You put your hands on me first. >> Okay. How she get the scratches on all over her chest? trying to push her off of me. >> And this all happened in the car. >> Yes. >> Like while you guys are sitting down in the car. >> Yes. And she was on top of me. My daughter's bigger than me. >> Were you on the driver's seat? The passenger seat. >> In the passenger seat. >> Front passenger. The driver's seat. And she stood up on the seat and got on me. >> So yes, I got scratches and stuff too. Like she was on me. >> Like my neck. Can you show me the other side? >> See how she ripped my shirt and stuff like >> Okay. >> All righty. Have a seat. I'll be right back. >> Yeah. >> Aisha, can I uh Sorry, Asia. Can I talk to you over here? So, I am going to have you have a seat in Officer Woods's car. Okay. And now I'm going to read your rights and we'll go up on there. You got anything sharp on you, ma'am? >> No. >> Okay. Can you take that purse off? >> What? >> Okay. All right. Just have a seat in the car for a sec. After uncovering her pattern of driving intoxicated without a license, officers conclude the situation has gone far enough and move to take her in. >> This might be going to be a double. >> Um, can you roll the windows down real quick? >> Was there any physical altercation there? >> Uh, that's when she first started yanking on me, >> like grabbing onto your shirt. >> Yeah. >> Did you Were you wearing a shirt? This is all I was wearing. >> Okay. So, she was trying to grab onto the strap. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> And I was just trying to get the key away from her. And um >> was that she's not driving drunk? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Cuz like I said, the car is in my name. I don't I haven't even put a car in my name for myself yet. And I called my grandma and my grandma, she was just like, you know, this is what happened with the last car. That's why we took it. And we was just like, she works all the way in Montville. So, we was just trying to get her a way to get back in, you know, to from work and stuff. And in the midst of her like you know us tussling things, I was just like you know like stop. Cuz I'm like it's no reason you're the one you came over here. You knew what you were doing. >> Did you How was how did her shirt get ripped? >> Yeah. I was holding her cuz she was yanking me around and like I mean that's >> And that's what that's happened at the front door. walking. >> No, that that's what we was basically inside the apartment >> inside the apartment. >> Yeah. >> And I was like I was trying not to like, you know, really throw her around because for one, she's my mom. I'm not trying to hurt her. >> But she kept she's drunk, so she's she's acting crazy. This is not the first time we got into it. But it's the first time it got that bad because nobody was around. >> Why are you worried that she's driving drunk when her friend was driving? >> Because I know how my mom is and there's >> as in like what? I know how drunk she get and I know for a fact when he goes home she's going to she's going to ride around. She literally you can even look she was the her equinox was took it was in my grandma's name and that got took cuz she was going the wrong way on the highway. >> And that's the main reason why I told her I do not need you driving while drunk. >> Officers follow up with the daughter after hearing the suspect's claim and her answer ultimately brings the investigation to a close. Is this your your keys? >> Oh my god. >> Sorry. Is this your keys? >> Uh, yeah. That's one of them. Can they go in my purse? >> Okay, that's fine. I just want to make sure it's not >> That's what I'm saying though. She snatched all that off of me. Where the rest of my keys at? >> I don't know. >> I need all my keys. >> Do you want anybody to take your booze? Because the jail will not take booze and they will dump it. So, who are they? What? >> I said who is out there? >> Don't worry about us. >> You're >> Don't worry about me. >> Totally. >> You want the booze? So, here's the thing. Asia, you're also going to be under arrest for arrest for domestic battery. Okay. Heard the law. I have to make >> I appreciate it. Thank you for understanding. The investigation revealed that both parties had their fair share of assaulting each other. So in the end, both the suspect and her daughter were arrested and charged with domestic battery. Number three, officers arrived to find family living in a nightmare. On January 13th, 2025, officers answered a distress call from a man claiming his wife had assaulted him and was still inside their home. Here's what happened when officers stepped in. >> Oh yeah. What's going on? >> Uh so basically my my wife, she went to my truck for some reason. >> Well, she came back. I I asked her for the keys. She punched me and she pushed in my ear. >> Okay. Where's she at? >> She's right there. >> Hello. So he's constantly tracking my truck. We're going through a divorce. >> I'm not tracking your truck. I told you that. >> He called me. He told me why you're not at home. >> But you cannot punch me, Jake. You cannot. >> I did not punch him. He stopped me. He took my money from pockets. I was giving him the >> Can I talk to you before anywhere you want to go? >> So I don't know what he's talking about. He saw everything. My son, I did go to his truck. Like I said, he's always like tracking my truck. Always. >> What's going on? >> What's going on? You called, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. What's going on? >> So, basically, she >> she said, "Look at your ear." Where? Yeah. >> Where? >> She she punched in my ear. She punched me here and then she punched in my ear. >> So, what's going on? What happened? >> She went to my truck to to see something. I don't know what. And asked her, "What are you doing in my truck?" So, I'm trying to get the keys and then she just grabbed me. She punched me right here. She put me right here. >> While you guys were outside in the truck right here. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. When she came back, >> where were your keys at? >> She had my keys. I'm like, "Give me my keys." She gave me my keys. She She hit me right here and she hit me in my ear. >> Okay. That happened right here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And this is your wife or who is this? Okay. And you What did she want to do with your truck? >> I don't know. >> You have no idea. Okay. So, what do you want done? >> I won't press charges. >> You want her arrested? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You want to go You'll go up to the station and all that and sign complaints? >> Yeah. >> Okay. You'll be able to go to court and all that. >> Yeah. >> Who's this? Your daughter. >> My daughter. >> Your daughter. Okay. All right. What did Did you put hands on her at all? Is she going to say that? >> No. >> No. Okay. Do you need an ambulance or anything? >> No, I'm fine. >> No. >> According to the victim, the suspect struck him out of nowhere, leading officers to question her to get the other side of the story. >> Let me talk to her real quick. >> He's supposed to be out of the house to start off with. >> We're inside talking to the party. We're talking. >> I don't know why is he still here. >> Just explain to me what happened today. >> So, he's always tracking my truck. So, I went I did went to check his truck. He uses my truck every morning. I don't have a problem with that. and he's always tracking my truck. So, I went to check to see if he was tracking my truck cuz he has trackers, you know. >> So, that's what all I went to check. So, when I came back inside here, he's like, "Give me the key." I was going to give him the key and then he grabbed my money and I'm like, "Give me my money and he didn't want to give my money back." So, yeah, I did push him, but that's because he had my money. He saw >> like I I didn't get crazy or nothing. No, I know. But, I'm >> Are you two married? Yeah, but the divorce is almost final and he had left the house >> until it is final. That that vehicle is both your guys' property, >> right? So, I don't know why he's getting mad. That is both of us. Like, why is he getting mad? Cuz I'm going to the truck. First of all, like I said, he tracks me down. I'm tired of him tracking me down. So, yeah, it's both of our trucks. So, I don't know why he's getting mad. You >> want to talk to her or you want to tell me what car? She tried to give him the key and uh >> he was driving the car. >> No, she was trying to get give him the key and he took the key and then grabbed money >> and then she trying to get the key back. >> Trying to get the money back. >> So I told you my money. He didn't want to >> punched him. >> Yeah, there's a couple out here. I can't tell. >> He's saying you punched him. >> I didn't punch you. >> Talk to me. Don't Don't talk to her. Do me a favor. Just talk Just talk to me. All right. >> Because he took my money out of my pocket. I was coming in here. >> It was in your pants pocket or in your jacket pocket? >> In my jacket. I was going to take out the keys and he >> Where were the keys? >> In my jacket >> with the money. >> The I had the money on this side and the keys on this side and I'm like, wait, I had those bags in my hand. So when I took out the keys, he still came and took my money. Like why is he taking my money out of my pocket? >> She stands by her claim that she merely pushed him. Though her explanation [music] soon exposes troubling details about the relationship. Okay. So, like he said, it's our both of our trucks. You drive my truck every morning. >> You guys are married, so technically it's it's both your money. It's both your trucks. >> So, why is he getting mad? >> I don't know. >> I don't understand. >> But did you push him? >> He's just mad cuz No, I pushed him. He took my money. >> He has Right. He has hit me before. I got I got um reports that he has hit me before >> and yeah, I dropped the charges. >> Was he locked up? Okay. >> But yeah, he was locked up. I dropped him because got papers and you know my kids. >> But he shouldn't even be here. He had told his lawyer he had left and he forced himself back in here. The cops came, they took the keys away from him and I'm still being nice and like >> can't be nice. But here's the thing. You can't be nice cuz then you get into a situation like this. >> And he's always tracking my truck. That's the thing. And he's >> Are you guys going through a divorce or something? >> Huh? >> Are you guys going through a divorce? >> Yeah. >> You got worked up for >> Yeah. The divorce is it might be um done this month. >> Okay. >> And he knows what we don't want to say in front of the kids. >> No, no, you don't have to. That's fine. You guys had a >> Did you see my ear? >> She She pushing my I took a picture of it. >> You have a picture? Yeah. >> Both of our trucks. You drive my truck every morning. >> Are you outside at all? >> No, we're right here. I was trying to take my keys. She pushed me. She pushed me and she pushed me right here two times. >> Have you guys had problems before? >> Yeah. >> The message between you two? >> Yeah, we had problems. Now, here's the thing. >> All right. You're adamant about this? >> Yeah. >> You want to? Okay. >> Despite the conflicting stories, officers agree that an assault clearly occurred. And once they informed the suspect of what comes next, the situation inside the house quickly spirals. >> Well, unfortunately, you said you pushed pushed him. He's saying you punched him. Either way, you're going to have to come with us. >> All right. >> Okay. Let me call my mom. >> Okay. Just make a real quick. Normally, we don't let you get a call. We just take you right away. But since you got kids, I ain't trying to fight with you or >> make a scene in front. Cuz I'm keeping the house. >> Make a scene in front of the kids. All right. >> He's just mad cuz I'm keeping the house. >> Do you have shoes other than slippers or do you Is that what you want to wear? >> No. Let me change. I'm going I'm going go to the station. Hello. >> Here. Here's the thing though. If you change, I have to I have to be at least able to see into the room. >> Can you come get like the guy? You know how he truck all the time? >> Hello. >> So, I live downstairs. >> Okay. Um, you could hear everything downstairs. >> And you can always hear how this man is always >> Okay, we're dealing with today. >> That's it. >> Okay. Earlier today, >> are you with their family? >> Yes, I live downstairs. >> Okay. >> Did you have anything to do with this incident today? >> I didn't, but I could hear everything. >> Okay. >> See you back here. >> Since you didn't see anything, we're not going to deal with that. Okay. >> Mad cuz I didn't want to talk to you. >> But I'm a witness. >> I don't want to get back. I could hear the screaming. >> You didn't witness anything, did you? >> I heard everything. >> Okay. You didn't witness anything. I I understand what you're saying, but you didn't witness. >> Here's the thing. She already said that she put hands on him first. >> I pushed for what reason? My money. >> That's battery. Okay. >> Okay, that's fine. I'm just going to give my >> So, go ahead and grab some socks and shoes. >> My socks. >> I'll be up. The suspect's roommate suddenly speaks up, insisting the victim isn't completely innocent either. But officers quickly steer the conversation back to the assault they're investigating. >> Hey, you're supposed to pick up Ali. He's not even aware of the kids. Can you even My daughter's in school. She's >> I understand all that, but here's the thing. This This is the the law. I've got no say. >> Okay, that's fine. I could lose my job if I understand, >> you know, and >> yeah, >> I'm not trying to do all that >> too for what he has done to me and go to Mexico >> as he should. I don't you should stop everything. >> Are you you said your family you got a jacket or could she grab you a jacket or you got a jacket somewhere close? Pretty cold. >> I'm cold, too. >> Well, you could only have one jacket. I mean, you can only So, >> okay. Let Let me see it real quick. >> You got no knives in here, right? >> No. payment to your police department. >> You're going to have court tomorrow. >> Did you give an IDVA >> about tomorrow? I don't think I got one. >> So, in this situation, >> make sure you call Robert, too. You >> You'll be able to come on the station about an hour. >> Okay. >> So, you're going to take your phone? She can take her phone. >> She could take it, but she's not going to have access to it. So, you >> stupid thing. She could always call her phone. Just everything. >> You got it. You got everything. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Invite your bag. >> Not in front of >> Okay. Go ahead. Go ahead. Step up. >> Turn around. 2721. Oh, I'm I'm locking them so it'll get tighter in. I'm going to hold on to you so you don't fall. Right. Would you say 95 >> over to the left? >> With the suspect now in custody, officers move to wrap things up. But she takes the moment to vent her frustration one last time before leaving. >> He cheated. He was >> I I understand that and I'm sympathetic to it, but but you can't you can't place your hands on him. You push even push him. Yeah, but if he tries to hit me, right? >> If he tries to hit you, you could defend yourself, >> right? I could defend myself. I didn't know he was going to put his hand to my jacket to get my money. >> All right, have a seat. >> All right, step on out of this elevator right here. Step in. >> All right. Step into that. Oh, right up to that counter right there. >> Yeah. >> Yep. Just slide over right here. Over here's fine. Yep. Perfect. All right. Have a seat back in there. I'll come get you in a little bit. All right. What's up? >> Okay. Hey, how you doing? I'm going to give you this. This is information how to get oral protection. I just have to give it to you by law. All right. So, just go ahead and read over that when you get a second. And then this I just need your signature right here and right there. >> No, she'll have to go to court tomorrow. So, yeah, we'll we'll have her till tomorrow till she goes to court and sees a judge. >> What's that? No, for that one you don't have to be the next one cuz that's just bond court. So then the the one after that you should get something in the mail telling you when the next court date is and that's the one >> she's going to be in for like 2 days or something like that. >> She'll get released tomorrow afternoon sometime. >> Yeah. All right. All right. >> After her encounter with the police officers, the suspect was charged with domestic battery. Number two, police step in after daughter reveals what her mom did. On August 14th, 2025, police responded after a young woman reported her mother had just assaulted her before running off. Here's what officers learned when they confronted the victim. >> You all right? Are you all right? >> Yeah. My mom just ran. She She drove away in her truck. I don't know where she >> Okay, let me pull over. I'll talk to you. Okay. What's going on? >> Um, me and my mom get in argument squad. She live together. >> Yeah, she has like borderline personality disorder. She's like mentally ill, so she gets physical sometimes. And um today we were arguing about my baby brother because I didn't want to I woke up and she made me take him to the bathroom and I didn't know what to do. So I had a bit of an attitude and I kept I was standing my ground because she gets like angry and she keeps screaming at me and I just wouldn't stop. I just kept standing my ground and saying like like no it's not right that you're screaming at me like this. Like I don't care how mad you are. Like don't do this. And then she started like grabbing my hair and shoving me. but she does that a lot. So, I was like, "Whatever." Until um until I don't know. I don't remember what I said, but I guess it made her so mad that she like grabbed me by my neck and she grabbed my face and my neck and shoved me down onto my bed. >> Did you lose consciousness at any time or anything? >> No, it just um it freaked me out really bad. So, I just kind of froze. >> Was she like holding your neck or did she use her hands to push you in? Bro, she she was holding my neck and she pushed me and she had a grip of it, but I started I like shoved her arms off of me and I >> She squeezing your neck. >> Yeah. >> I don't think there's any marks. She wasn't squeezing it really hard, but she's never like started choking me before and she's threatened me, but she's never done anything to like actually do it. >> You got some redness. >> I'm going to have EMS check you out. Okay. >> Um, how old are you? Come here. >> The victim recounts a long history of abuse detailing incidents ranging from choking to physical assaults and explains how this behavior has become a troubling pattern within their home. >> My mom's had this issue for a very long time. I assume >> she's always been physical with us and she's punched my brother before. >> How old your brother? >> He's 16 and she's never gone physical with the baby, but every time it's something about him, she gets physical. >> How old's the baby? >> He's three. dad in the picture or what's the deal with that? >> No, technically she's a whatever like this is a bunch of him that I don't >> I hate her boyfriend. He's um he's in the picture yet. >> Do you have anywhere else? >> No, I don't think so. >> What are What are you looking to do here? >> I don't know. Um, >> and I don't I don't have anywhere else to go. >> Um, so I I didn't know. I tried to call my family, but none of them picked up. And so I just thought calling the cops would be better. >> No. Yeah, you did. >> And she choked me out. I'm like, I'm scared. I'm scared of what she'll do if I come back after. >> And you live here, right? >> Yeah. >> Cuz she she like refuses to talk to a counselor. And every time she does, >> she only chooses the one that further her delusions and make it worse because in her head it's okay because she's mad and I signed up for it for making her mad. >> Mom took off. Uh she kind of has like a little thread on her neck. Said mom strangler has a history of doing that. Borderline personality disorder. The same thing also. Um I ask her like what she wants to see with this kind. >> Officers finally reach the suspect over the phone and her response only adds another shocking twist to the situation. >> Hello. >> Hi. Is this Ashley? >> Yes. >> Hi Ashley. It's Sergeant Forest from the Akran Police Department. How you doing? >> Not so great. >> All right. Hey, can you tell me what's going on here today? Or do you mind coming back over here so we can talk in person? >> I don't want to come back over there cuz I know I'm about to get arrested. I'm not stupid. I know how assault works. >> I'm not an idiot. But that girl be antagonizing, bro. She talks crazy. She talks and she want to sit here and act like she's all >> but then want to talk under the slide. Like I'm not paying all your bills. Like I'm not sitting here stress. I work over 40 hours a week and I still got to raise a three-year-old baby. I got to deal with a drunking boyfriend all the time. She knows what the I'm dealing with. So when I ask her to go get her brother to the bathroom, it shouldn't be a fight. >> Yeah. >> She knows I Bro, I'm the only one that's handling everything, the bills, the kids, the cleaning, the dogs, the children. >> She knows. And for her to sit there and disrespect me and talk reckless to me, like I I and I try to tell her like I'm >> I've really been trying to work on my self-control, bro, for years. And she knows that. She knows my struggle. She's the only one, but she's the only one that knows how to say what she says to get under my skin. So when I tell you I'm going to snap out of your mouth, bro, I'm going to snap the out of your mouth and take whatever. That's really all it was over is because she coped the attitude and then she started throwing accusations talking about you you following me around the house. She going to make it seem like I choked her and some I know what she does. She over dramatized and stuff and she admits it but I really just gripped her face and pushed her back. Like >> that was it. But I know that's wrong and I know it's wrong. So if I got to come back and deal with that I will. But like >> yeah. The suspect attempts to dodge accountability by blaming her child, but officers quickly put an end to her distorted version of events. >> Can't be that parent that kicks the kid out on the street and what what if something happens and she like a little a little hit on the face is nothing compared to like I can't have that. >> Well, I think that you've got to remember too. I mean, you've got to be careful and I'm just telling you the truth here because it sounds like you've been pretty honest with me. So, I hope you appreciate this. Coming back from my side of things. >> Oh, I know. I'm not a liar. I respect that. I'm not a liar. I >> like you putting her hand your hands on her neck and choking her like that. I mean, you could really injure her. >> I grabbed her jaw. She got a jaw, bro. You could look at her. She got a jaw. I grabbed her jaw. >> I did not grab her neck at all whatsoever. On my soul, I didn't. >> Okay. But are you able to come back over here so we can talk this out and get your information and do what we need to do? >> Uh, yeah. >> All right. Thank you, Miss Morris. I appreciate it. So, I talked to mom on the phone. She admitted to what she did. Um, so our hands are kind of tied at this point as far as being able to have any discretion on pressing charges. Okay. So, what that means is, um, we're going to have to arrest mom. Um, I can't leave her in this situation knowing that she just admitted to me. Um, that she put her hands on you and did she make any threats to you or anything like that? >> She did. What did she say? >> She told me that she was going to she said she was going to smack me till my head my ears were. >> Okay. >> And then she Okay. So, just give me a second. Just stand by because we've got some paper, excuse me, paperwork to pick this up. Okay. >> With her violent history and admission now on record, officers moved to get the children somewhere safe. But they soon run into a new obstacle when the suspect's boyfriend enters the picture. >> You wanted to get your brother? >> Yeah. My mom's boyfriend was up there yelling stuff down at me. >> I know. I heard it. >> Want to let you know my doors are locked. She's welcome to get what she would like, but you guys are not welcome in my house, sir. >> Well, she lives here, and I will be coming in to get the kids. >> My doors are locked. >> Well, you better unlock them. >> You're coming in to do what? >> To get the kids. >> To get my son. >> To get the kids. Yes. >> You're not taking my son. >> I am. >> Why? >> And then if you refuse, then I'm going to arrest you for obstruction. Send you as well. >> My son. My son has nothing to do with this. >> It does. There's procedures for it. >> What is it? >> Why don't you come on down? We'll talk man to man. >> I'm not letting you send my son. >> Then you're going to go to jail. >> Doors are locked. If you if you come into my house, >> it sounds like you're going to end up with a broken down door. >> You can come on down. >> You don't have a search warrant. My son, >> you're obstructing. >> I don't care, man. My son is a 2-year-old and he did nothing. He's a three-year-old. He did nothing to you, nor to her. >> If you come on down, we'll have a discussion. >> You're not trying to discuss. You just told me you're taking my son. >> I have to get CSP involved. >> My son doesn't need to be taken. I am his >> It doesn't It does not mean that he's not going to stay here, but CSP >> is fine here. If you refuse to come down and talk, then I'm just going to arrest you for obstruction. >> I'm arresting you for obstruction then. >> You're already going to try to talk. >> If you come, >> if you come down here, >> come down and I'll explain everything already, dude. >> I'm not going to stand here and scream. >> I'm barricaded in my room. You're not coming in my room. >> You're going to come down and get her stuff out. My My door's dead. You don't have a search warrant for my house. You have rights to get her stuff out. You're not taking my stuff. going to tell me how I'm going to do my job. >> I'm not taking my son. >> Then you're going to jail for obstruction. >> It's between HER AND HER DAUGHTER, NOT MY SON. BRO, >> LISTEN. LISTEN, take some breaths and listen to me. >> Hey, I'm just letting you know this guy's probably going to go for obstruction. >> The boyfriend continues causing problems and refusing to cooperate. But before long, the suspect finally comes face to face with officers. >> Because Ohio's a mother state, >> we got to get CSB involved. If you come down and if you listen to me, stop talking. If you come down and cooperate, >> CSB will possibly leave the child here. >> Mom, they're trying to take dab. >> No. No, we're not. >> Take that cuz now >> you need to leave work and come here now. Tell them you got to leave work and come here now. Trying to bust my door down. Tell me they're going to come here, son. >> We're trying to get you where you want to be, man. >> I want you to get where you need to be. We're trying to get you >> to work helping him. >> Listen, I'm going to work. I'm going to work right now. >> Take my three-year-old son from him in a >> nit, dude. You don't even know what's going on. She should be quit screaming and crying and we'll explain it to you. >> Start acting your age. >> Hey, what's mom's phone number? >> Are you the mom of the child? >> No. >> No. >> No. I'm the aunt. >> You're aunt? >> Yes. >> Okay. So >> and grandma's on the way as well. >> Okay. >> Cuz baby should not be involved in any. That's why we're pissed off. >> So because of the type of the of incident that happened, we have to have CSB involved. >> You're kidding. >> I'm not. Is Ashley your mom? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Ashley's Devon's mom. Everybody's mom. Where's Ashley? >> She left. >> Okay. So >> they're about to rescue. >> I know. I know. >> Place stuff on this. >> My mom and my dad's on their way, bro. >> Place your hands behind your back. >> This is crazy. >> Put your palms together. >> Can you grab my money and give it to him so he can pay? >> We'll deal with all that in a minute. Okay. >> You got You got to come get this money. >> What I need you to do is I need you to tell him he needs to calm down. >> With the suspect detained, all that remains is dealing with a boyfriend. But he seems set on being as stubborn as possible. >> Money is in my pocket. My phone's in here. I don't want nothing. >> You need to do whatever THEY NEED TO DO, DEON. DO THE RIGHT THING WITH our baby, bro. >> Bro, you need to do the right thing with our baby, bro. >> You need to do anything you >> can you explain to him that if he cooperates, >> there's a chance the child might stay here. You want that money out of your pocket? >> Yes. >> If he keeps acting like this, >> Kevin, you need to calm down, man. >> Yes, you can. >> He's not going to listen to y'all, man. >> Increasing likelihood children get removed from the home. >> Come on, Debon. Calm down. >> What's he yawning? >> He's not on anything. >> He acts like this all the time >> when we try to take away our kids. Bro, we're good parents. >> I'm not saying you're not. All right, so look. Because of the situation, we have to have CSB involved. Okay. >> All he's doing is one, working himself into getting arrested >> and two, increasing the likelihood that CSB doesn't place the kids back here. >> So, can I just talk to him? You guys just got to let me talk him down. >> I can't. I have you in custody, dear. I cannot. >> He's not going to listen to nobody. >> If he's willing to come down and stand at this window and talk to you, I'm absolutely okay with that. >> But what about the baby? We don't want the baby taken away. He didn't do anything wrong. >> I understand that. But there's been actions that led us to this point. I'm not just coming in trying to take kids people's kids away from them. I'm a I'm a product of that. I've been in that situation. So, I know what it's like. And I don't ever want to have to put another child in that situation. But sometimes my job dictates me to do that. Is this his mom pulling up in this red car? I think that's our friend Eric. Oh, yeah. That's his mom. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> Yes. >> While the boyfriend's mother tries to talk sense into him, the suspect continues pointing fingers at her own daughter for what happened. >> You're his mom, correct? >> Yes. >> We have to have CSP involved. >> Okay. There's no if, or but about it. It's going to happen. >> Now, his behavior is going to dictate a lot whether or not the children get removed from the home. and if he goes to jail because right now he's obstructing. >> Okay. So, all of that's going to play a part in this. So, if you're able to talk if you're able to talk to >> and then if he starts making threats from this window, I am going to send him to jail. >> So, I just I I just had enough of the sleep with her mouth and that's why I grabbed the jaw and I just told her shut up. >> That's your son? >> Okay. >> I don't want him to sleep. Please go. I got you. I'll close the door. >> How you doing, little man? >> Hey, he's a beautiful >> How you doing, little man? >> Hey, >> I care if kids in the car, but obviously car can't pull off, >> right? >> No, no, no. I'm fine with that. I just >> What is she? >> So, we have we have all the kids accounted for now. >> Thank you, sir. 1403. There's a 15 or 16y old. >> Yeah, but that's at school though, right? >> Yeah. Well, >> we don't. >> She was just on the phone with him. They said >> she said that she was on the phone with the school and the school wasn't sure where he was at. >> Wait, the school doesn't know where? >> That's what she had just said to her. >> Did you guys already call CSB? >> No, cuz we've been trying to deal with this and then we had all sorts of people showing up and >> All right, I would say one of you just start calling CSB. Let's get the ball rolling. >> Just as things appear to be wrapping up, officers watch in disbelief as the suspect turns her own family against the daughter she attacked. It's a cat. I try to call every single family. So, you go walk away and you go home. >> That's the thing. She kicked me out of the house. >> Let's not argue about this. >> Hey, my mom. >> Let's not argue about this right now. Come on. Let's go. Let's go. >> Why am I the bad guy? I got choked by my own mom. >> I'm sorry. What's >> your mom wants to talk about? >> Crazy. All right. And I don't want to >> Can you unlock real quick? >> I promise as soon as I'm out, I'll figure out my job situation. and I'll figure it out. But Janette is not coming back. Okay? And I still love Janette and I'm still going to protect Janette and I'm going to still hold Janette down even though she calls the cops on me because I'm a better person. So don't you be angry and fighting with your sister. Okay. >> Nothing but scream and cry out that window. >> Of course. >> Like a manchild. So >> is he pissed at them or us? >> He hates cops. >> Well, y'all about to be called out when I get out. I'm about to smack the out of this dude, bro. >> I'm about to smack the I'm about to smack him, bro. Soon as I get out, I'm going toing smack him. >> We go now. >> Um, I'm good here. We're pulling off. >> After the whole fiasco, the suspect was arrested and charged with domestic violence. Not only that, but her boyfriend was also cited for obstruction. Number one, this mother's actions left everyone questioning her parenting. On April 17th, 2025, officers responded to a residence after reports [music] of a disturbance involving a mother and her teenage children. Here's what happened when officers arrived at the home. >> 442 saying that they're trying to break the window. >> Yeah, MC. We'll take a couple more. >> Stop. >> As well, break off. STOP RIGHT NOW, DUDE. MOVE. >> HEY, >> I don't care. >> I'm pregnant. >> What? Stop. >> 711. >> Hey, STOP. >> HEY. HEY. HEY. HEY. >> LISTEN. HEY. Both of you over here. >> I'M PREGNANT. I'M PREGNANT. They're starting all this. >> Stop. I got numerous. I got her address. >> I GOT NUMEROUS. SHE TOLD ME TO COME HERE. She was going to my baby. She said she's going to my baby. >> Hey, listen. >> Let us sort this out first. >> You're dead. >> David Victor 38995. Copy 20. David Victor 38995. Hey, come >> home invasion. 2012. Hey, stay in your house. >> I'll take care of your baby. >> Hey. >> HEY. >> HEY, LISTEN. >> HEY, BRO. They said they were going to hit my daughter. My daughter's one years old. I'm up, bro. >> Relax. Sort this out. I'LL CRY. >> HEY, LISTEN. >> HEY, RELAX. ARRESTED. >> Let me show you. >> Once the chaos between the family settles, officers begin piecing together what actually led to the confrontation. >> Who drove on the grass like this? This your car. >> This is my car. You >> driving this car? >> Yeah. You know why? She's saying she got my baby. My baby and my kids. My granddaughter. >> My granddaughter. >> I never once said nothing about her grandson. None of these kids. This is my husband's ex. >> It started off as online harassment and never end. >> Yes. And never stopped at all. I got all the proof. >> How do we get here? >> They sent US HER ADDRESS. SHE told me to come get my She said she's going to beat my pregnant kick my baby out. I wanted to see if she's going to do it. >> Okay. So, you basically confronted her here. Yes. >> Is that what you did? >> Okay. >> Anybody coming from now? God. >> SHE'S FEELING LISTEN. You're not listening. Anybody just take a breath. Everybody breathe. >> Calm down. >> Shut up. All right. Calm down. >> So they came here. They started banging on your door. Correct. >> Yes. >> Shut up. >> Who knows the house? [gasps] >> We rent here. >> Okay. >> Call the phone. Call the phone. >> Dude, >> you want to call your landlord? Find out what he wants to do about the window. >> You have the camera that's working right here. >> I have. Yep. It works. >> Can you pull the video off for me? >> All right. >> Listen, listen. Wait. Sorry. They came past beeping real loud. >> Okay. >> Sound like they were throw They went cuz I know they went through my my my uh Ellie. Sound like they were they threw something into my hair. >> What? >> But they went through my alley. Then [laughter] they it came back this way. I was already on the phone with the police at the time. >> Okay. >> Then when she came back, they came from this way. She pulled up right there >> and then pulled up pulled right there. Got on the sidewalk and that's that's when this all started. Her daughter got out. And then you still don't >> get to my door and she's banging on my door. >> From both accounts, it's clear the families deeply dislike each other. But officers quickly point out a critical issue the suspect seems to be overlooking. >> She's trying to get in my window. As you can tell, my daughter's sitting here. She's trying. She grabbed my daughter by her shirt. >> Okay. >> Trying to get in my window. >> Okay. >> I I need something done with these these windows. >> Okay. Call your landlord. Find out what he wants to do about the window. >> Pull the video for me. Okay. What video? >> The video in here. >> All right, pull it up and give me a second. I'll be right back. Okay, >> just close the door. Do not talk to each other. Do not. We're done with this. >> Okay, 57. Your report number 470 470. >> Who broke the window? >> I did. >> How'd you break it? >> She She was sticking her head out the window. She tried to grab me. She tried to grab me. >> But how'd you break it? I didn't I don't even realize. I think I pulled her through it. No, I think I pulled her >> through the window. Not like the window. They had the window open. >> Yeah. Screaming through the window like a Chihuahua. >> Got your ID. >> Yeah, I got my ID. >> You don't mind if I search the car for that pistol? >> There's no gun in here. Did they say there's a gun? Come on now. >> That's why That's why it brings >> I swear to God, I wouldn't have a gun. >> Please. I'm pregnant. Okay, I'm pregnant. You probably shouldn't be doing that, right? You probably call the police, right? Not showing up at somebody's house, whatever they say to you. >> Well, I understand. They've came to my house though before. They They came to my house. They They were on my truck. Look at They dented my truck up. >> You should have just called the police at that time. Not now. >> Those are >> Those are mine.
