Old enough to argue with adults, but young enough to pretend they didn't know better. Too bad their age didn't protect them from consequences. Here are five cases when entitled teen Karens get much needed reality check by cops. Number five, teen boys arrested for hurting and stealing their schoolmates PS5. Our first case took officers to a neighborhood in Florida where a teenager reported being set up by his own classmates. According to the 18-year-old, he listed his PS5 for sale met with a group interested in buying it. But instead of a straightforward transaction, they jumped him and stole the console. Here's what happened when officers arrived at the scene. So >> it was three of them, correct? >> Yeah, three of them. >> Where they hit you at? >> On my head. And then there also lots of amounts of [Applause] >> Yeah. >> running after them or >> Huh? >> Did you run after him? >> Yeah, I went I went after him, but they they already they already went that way and then I >> You say all three of them. How do you know that all three of them go to school? Did you see them without the mask? >> I see him without school. Yeah, I already know like once I I can tell who it cuz I can tell by his voice and then I could tell um by his short. >> All right. What did they take? A PlayStation. He have PlayStation with controller and his stand on it. So like a full PlayStation and stuff. >> You know where he lives over here? >> I know I know where one lives over there. I know where his two other lives like uh uh I actually know all three where all three of them lives but I don't know which apartment number. I just know where like what kind of >> What was the one's name? You said >> one of them uh is Duven, but I don't. >> Yeah, I don't know his last name. Are they all Haitian? >> Uh, one of them is Asian. Yeah. The other one uh I'm not sure if they are did they Haitians or not. >> Okay. When they came to buy the the the uh PlayStation property, they were wearing the hoodie. >> Yeah, they were wearing a hoodie and a mask and then one of them was were just wearing a like a caphu >> and then the other two was wearing a hoodie. >> Did you see any other faces? >> I see one of the faces that live downtown, but I could tell by by one of them is tall and one of them the other one is short. I could tell. I could tell cuz I I like I know I've seen me in my school and I know how they talk and stuff. >> The one live downtown one of them live at >> uh I'm not sure what location is but I I think they call it the six. I mean I could go with you to show you where where's that. >> There's no mistaking the fear in his voice. But the officers need more details. Starting with how the meetup came to be. >> So they came to buy a PlayStation off you correct? >> Yeah. Okay. 65 and then >> so so how did that come about? >> So they asked me like you know how when customer ask like if to see if the uh if the product the item is good or not right they asked me like let me see if the goods and stuff I'm like okay I have no problem cuz I I know like I see him at school so I I don't think they going to rob me so I just like give it to them. They start touching it and then I see one of them so I put it in the backpack and then I'm like okay. >> How many have backpacks? >> Uh one of them just one of them. They just wrote one as a backpack. Why y'all putting in the backpack? Are you going to pay me? He was like, "Hold on." He go and he asked the other one, "Do you get my backpack?" So I just I could pay him more cash app. And then I like I stopped pulling my cash out and then I was going to show him while I was going to show him both of them punching you and the other one, the Haitian one. >> Where did this happen? >> Where did this happen? >> Huh? >> Where did this happen? Where where >> it's like right there in the by the pool right there. >> So did they call you to come meet with you? >> Yeah. I saw how one of my friend I told him like put this on to put this on his Snapchat and then he did post it on Snapchat and they text him. They were like I'm going to buy it and then so he came he came they came right there and then I I told my friend to call him and then to ask him where they at cuz I was going to go I wanted to go home and go sleep and stuff and then he called me and they told him like they white at the point center. I'm like okay let's let's go meet them in the front and then why are we coming? And I saw like all two of them coming. So, we just stopped there by the pool and then I then they start asking me where the PlayStation I showed them and then they was like, "Is this a real PlayStation?" I'm like, "Of course it is." And then they start checking it and then they um they start putting the backpack and that's when >> with a clearer picture of what happened. Officers now ask if he remembers anything that could help them identify who was involved. >> What kind of bicycles did they have? >> I don't know where the bicycle was, but they came. Did you see the bicycles or No. >> No, I didn't see cuz they came right there on the foot and by by the time they ran, I ran after them. >> Okay. >> I went after them and then and then I went back so get my back so I could be a little bit faster and then it's it's really dark over there. I >> You see where they turned when they went down? >> I asked two people over there and they told me like they went over I asked like wait you see two black male went over there and they told me yes. >> Two of them. Two of them. Just two. It was three of them. Two went over there and then one of them went that way. I don't know where he went or not. >> Where did the other two go? >> The other two, they went that way. >> They went straight. >> Yeah, they went straight. >> Did they go through the ball field? >> I I don't know cuz I went after him. By the time I I went after him, I I didn't see him at all. >> Okay, I got you. >> Did anyone see this happening to you? >> Uh there was there was a there was a a like a male sitting sitting like right there by the sport bench, but he didn't he didn't really see it cuz since there was like a saw. >> Yeah. No one saw it. I mean, my friends saw it cuz you wasn't with me, but uh but I couldn't know if Right. >> I I get You're going through some something, but take a breath. You're So, your friends was with you? >> Yeah, my friend wasn't with me. >> So, he saw it? >> Yeah, he saw it. >> Okay. >> He saw >> He just told me no one was there now. I >> Yeah, I thought like other people. >> Where's your friend? >> I told I told him to wait there for me. I don't know if he's still there or not. >> Yeah, tell him to come. >> The high school, right? >> Yeah, the high schooler. Yeah, the high schooler. >> Okay. They they go to the high school here. >> Yeah, he was high school. >> Yeah, he was high school. Yo, can you come can you come by the trash can? The body dumpster bleed. >> How old are you? I'm 18. >> You're 18? >> Yeah. >> You still in school? >> Yeah, I'm a senior. >> Can can you come by the dumpster bleed? >> All right. Did you see what happened? >> Yes. >> What did you see? Oh, like they just like start punching them and they were wearing masks all day. >> Wasn't all of them wearing black? Yeah. All of them wearing black >> and a black hoodie. >> Yeah. Black hoodie >> and then a black mask. Yeah. So, what like the mask would have like any like letters on it or just straight? >> No, just straight black. >> Luckily, there are street cameras in the area and officers are hopeful the footage could lead them to whoever was involved. >> Like a mesh, like a mesh. >> Yeah. >> If we take the camera, hey, yeah, we check the cameras and it's going to be three people in all black. It might be T cuz one of them went that way and then two of them just went that way and they headed in the home and the other one um went that way. >> Call me. >> I don't know if the office is >> Do you have any question for me? >> Yeah. Can you like stand by boss? Stop stop rushing me. >> Oh, sorry. >> I got a picture of Duven. >> Okay. >> And he he knows Duven. He goes to school with Duven. >> He says he goes to school with Duven. >> My school with all of them. >> He says he goes to school with all of them. >> All of them. My school. Go. >> Okay. So, we could we could show him this picture and see if this is a guy that and did ask him if Duven didn't if Duven was the one that didn't have a mask. >> Who which one didn't have the mask? >> The Haitian one. >> Was that Duven? >> Uh, no. >> Okay. He said the Haitian one was the one without the mask. >> But Duven, if he showed me a picture, he had his eye kind of red. >> Yeah, that's that's him. That's him. >> He uh confirmed it. That's him. >> That's Dub. Okay. >> He's showing you. How did he know that it was? >> Because I could tell by his voice and his eye cuz it was red. He's always been red just like you see in the picture. >> He's saying you can tell by his voice and his eyes. How much were you trying to sell your PS4 for? >> 400. >> You said 400. >> Yeah. >> Did all three of them hit you? >> Yeah. All three. >> So, if you could count numbers, how much times do you think they hit you? >> Uh, I'm I'm not sure cuz I wasn't really uh trying uh cuz they pushed me and then stopped punching me. stop me and then and then after that this is after that I I like I got my way up. I stood up and then they start running. They start running. They took my the bike but the tall one took the bike and then when I ran after him he he dropped it and then start running and I went I go back I went I went back and brought my phone and then took the bike and then start running after him. I called 911. While one officer continues speaking with a victim, others are already working behind the scenes, tracking down names and possible addresses tied to the suspects. >> By the time I get up there, they already gone and I saw two two guys was there and I asked him, "Have you seen two black boy wearing all black went over there and then they was like, "Yeah, they went all the way over there and I'm like, okay." But I went over there by all body lights and I didn't I didn't see him. So, anytime there's a victim of any type of crime and there's a case number involved, we have to we have to hand out this pamphlet. All right. It's just one of those things. Uh, that's my name and that's the case number for this. >> Um, you need medical? >> No, I'm okay. I'm just I'm going just get home and cut this off and stuff. >> So, you So, when you posted like on his Snapchat, how long do you think it took them to get here? >> Uh, >> like how did you know to go outside with it? cuz he called he called he called him my friend. He called him and told him who him >> uh do he called him and told him come outside cuz he he's there and then he sat there and then and then he didn't show up. He didn't show up. So we went back inside cuz my friend's phone died and then I gave him my charger. So he went inside the charger. >> You text your buddy and give me the phone number of dude then. >> All right. He was on Snapchat. >> Oh, Snapchat. So he called him through Snapchat. Snapchat. Okay. Uh, Zob Boy, is he Haitian? >> Yeah, he is. I al He's uh Haitian. I also know where he lives, too. But uh >> Okay. You know exactly where he lives? >> Yeah, but I just don't know what the the number >> If we if we put you in a police car and drive you there in the back. Nobody's going to see you. Can you say where he's at? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay, sir. >> All right. Give us one minute. >> Don't touch your face anymore. He's going to do some swabs of your face. >> All right. um to see if maybe we could get some DNA from when they punched you. Anything? Did they hurt you anywhere else? >> No, it was just uh uh when >> just your toe? >> Yes. My head. >> All right. >> Now, when we done, if you can't just ride with him, >> okay, in the back of the car, nobody's going to see you. >> Okay. >> Drive by the house. If you know that if you recognize the trailer, just show them the trailer. >> Okay. >> Okay. Y good. Minutes later, officers arrive at a possible address and immediately confront the person they found outside the residence, asking if they recognize the suspect's name. [Applause] >> Hi, how are you? >> Do you live here? 272 >> 272? >> Yeah. >> Do you live in this? >> Do you live here? Yeah, I live here. >> Okay. Who? Um, where's Zoy? >> What? >> You know who Zoy is? >> Zo. Yes. >> Z O B O Y. >> No. >> No. >> Just me. >> Is it just you two in the car? >> Yeah. Just >> What's your name? >> We can be. >> Okay. You're not a teenager, so >> no. All right. So, >> does any kids live there? >> Any teenagers? >> There's no teenagers that live in here. >> What >> is it? Who else lives in this place? I know that there's multiple. >> I just I just went uh a woman. >> You run a room. Okay. So, there's other people, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. But >> like teenagers, >> I don't know. You can't. >> The search pays off the next day when officers finally locate one of the teens, placing him in handcuffs before beginning their questioning. >> All right, Mr. So, listen. We're going to ask you some questions, but this isn't like it is on TV or the movies. Kind of like what I explained to you earlier. All right. Before we ask you any questions, we have to make you aware of your rights, your Miranda warnings. Okay. So, Officer Lashley is going to read you Miranda warnings and then we'll go from there. Okay. All right. All right. All right. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him present while you're being questioned. You cannot afford to hire a lawyer. One will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Um, do you understand each of these rights if I have explained to you? >> Yes, sir. Okay. >> Have you asked any law enforcement officer to speak to an attorney? Yes, sir. >> Having these right in mind, do you wish to talk to us? [Music] About what? >> About your rights, bro. Either you're going to talk to us or not. >> Like, I'm good. Like, >> you don't want You're not You don't want to talk? >> Like, talk about what? Like, I'm not getting >> I'm asking you about the crime. >> Like, do you want me to talk about it? >> All right. So, I can read it to you again. All right. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything >> So, what what he's asking Mr. Louis is if we ask you about the suspected criminal activity that occurred last night, are you willing to ask answer questions? >> No. Okay. >> All right. Cool. All right. >> The teen holds back, but the officers aren't done yet. They know involving his parents might be what finally gets him to speak. PlayStation. >> If I don't have a PlayStation 5, >> I don't have a PlayStation 5. >> 2:00 in the morning. >> Yeah. 10. I wasn't even out. 10:00. 10:00. >> 10:00. Take a PlayStation 5. No. >> No. Okay. So, I was outside with my friends. I wasn't nowhere. I was outside with my friends. Investigation. You can't do nothing about that. >> I don't have it. I was with my friends outside. >> I was outside. I was nowhere. I was here. >> I wasn't even there. I was here. I was home. >> I was home. I was nowhere near that place. I was home. >> I was nowhere near that place. >> I was home. >> I was nowhere. I was outside in my neighborhood. >> I was in my neighborhood. I was I didn't leave my neighborhood. I was in my neighborhood. >> Huh? >> I was in my neighborhood. It must be false identification. >> I'm telling you right now, it must be false identification. >> It must be false identification. >> False identification. >> I don't even have a PS5. I have a PlayStation 4. I have a PlayStation 4. Ultimately, all three suspects were caught and formally charged with robbery and aggravated assault. Number four, teenagers behavioral issues turned into criminal charges. On October 5th, 2022, officers respond to a home where a young boy still in elementary school is reportedly acting out so severely that police are called to step in. Listen closely as his mother explains what led to the call. So, I was sitting on the porch. All the kids were in the house and I heard this one crying. So, he can tell you what happened as far as lives in the basement. >> Well, now he lives in the living room. He pissed that to the living room. And then he kicked my screen door off. He broke that picture. He threw the screen door in the trash. And then that that they he has right there. He threw it at my car and he started this last night and then it's just he tripped you. >> Yes. >> Was he hitting you at all? >> My baby brother. >> Was he hitting you at all, buddy? >> Yes, he was hitting me. >> Yeah. Where'd he hit you at? >> He hit me right >> on your head. >> Can I see your head? >> No, I think he hit he hit me in my back when I was on the >> Okay. You're not bleeding or anything, so that's good. >> It's the female officer who's been here before. And what's your name, sir? >> Officer King. >> Officer King. He's never been here. I've never seen him. >> But yes, this started last night. Um, they put him in the LEAP program. >> Okay. I wondered why he wasn't in school. >> Yes, they put him in the LEAP program. They had a restraining yesterday at school and it just I went to work. He was with a friend and he came home and started all this and then uh he's like, "I'm not going to school today." And I was like, "Well, I'll tell him you refused to go to school." He didn't go to school because we were up till 2:00 in the morning dealing with him. >> Okay. >> So >> So is he inside now? >> Yes, he's inside. >> Okay. >> He slammed the door and sometimes it locks itself. So you might not be able to get in there, but the window's open. >> Okay. >> When's the last time he had his counseling? >> Monday. and medications. >> He's refusing them. I called his probation officer and told him all of that and he told me to call you guys >> to call the prosecutor to see what the prosecutor wants to do. >> We'll see what he's like when we get in here, but if he's calm down, they're not going to let us do anything. >> With a mother's account in mind, officers approach the boy, ready to figure out what's really going on. >> They're pretty strict on us. >> He just fled me off. >> Where's he at? >> He's He's on. All right, let's go see what he says. >> So, what are you what are you thinking? >> What are you thinking? >> He's gonna be calm and stuff. They're not going to do anything. >> No, just >> Hello. I know you hear me. I'm not going to leave anytime soon. So, we can sit here and play the quiet game or we can talk and I'll be out of here. >> Listen, we're going to talk. So look at us and talk now. You want to go to the DH? Is that where is that where you want to go? Sit up and talk to me like a respectful person now. >> I know you're not. That's the problem. Do you want to go to DH? >> No, she's not. She's trying to raise you. You don't say that. >> I do. I want to. >> No, it's not. It's not how this is going to work. You're going to sit up and talk just like a man. If you want to act like a man, you're going to talk just like a man. All right, >> you all talk until we get here. Flip around. Why is he living in the living room, honey? >> Cuz he wanted to move up here and I told him no. And he started throwing a fit. So I was like, "Okay, you know, I'll let you cuz he was doing very, very good." >> And then started. So go back to the car. >> Probation trying to place him somewhere. Every time I call him, they just tell me to call you guys. Or if they go talk to him and he's he was calm when I talked to him, which oh be careful, >> which is normal. He's normally calm when anybody else talks to him. So I don't know what they're trying to do with him. I know he's on probation. She said indefinitely. >> So >> can you drive him to school? >> He's going to act out in school. >> I understand that. But he's got to go to school. >> That's what I told him. >> Even when told he could be taken to a detention center, the boy stays defiant, showing the same behavior that's gotten him in trouble before. >> Get up and go to school. Do you want to be a criminal the rest of your life? Okay, that's cool. That's good life goals. >> So, you want to spend it locked up in a box about the size of your bed. Sit there for the rest of your life. >> No phone. That's a problem. Mom, you need to take that crap away from him. >> She can't because she didn't buy it. >> That's not how this works. >> She can't take me cuz she didn't buy it. >> She can though. >> She can. Yes, she can. >> She going to pay for it. >> You have an attitude and you need to lose it. >> Who's Whose phone is it then? >> Mine. >> Did you buy it? >> Yep. I got it from my friend. So, she can't get rid of it. >> You need to take care of You need to All this is coming down to >> You don't get punched. >> That's fine. You'll go to DH when you do that. >> Shoot her ass. >> Okay. Maybe you'll go to DH today. >> Get a juvenile prosecutor on the phone. No, you're not going anywhere right now. >> I was leaving you dumb. >> This little kid. >> Okay, we're out here right now. Normally I can get him to calm down, but he is on a rampage right now. He's chucked everything out the window. He's telling me to go suck. You stupid. Um, he has been throwing a t temper, they said, since last night. Wouldn't go to school. I guess he acted out yesterday at home. Mom's at a loss. She said she called her pro his probation officer. The probation officer said to call us. This kid needs to go to detention and figure out what it's like. He broke a um he chucked a picture frame out here. There's glass everywhere. And then he I've dealt with him a lot and normally he's not this mouthy with me, but today Oh, he's still on a cell phone. I said, "Mom, take the cell phone." He goes, "That ain't coming near me. I'll punch her in the face." Yeah. I've never seen him. I mean, you know me. Normally, I'm not going to call you if um but he's I mean, he's telling me he's like, "You go suck a I was like, "I'm sorry. What did you just say to me?" Okay, that's fine. We'll have it tied up tonight. We're going to take him in today. >> At this point, even the boy's mother seems to give up. He's out of hand. He's out of control. >> He's never like that mouthy with me. >> He's been that mouthy with every officer. The officer last night was trying to talk to him. He was a newbie. And uh he was trying to talk to him and he told him he called him a called him a pig. Yeah. >> Like he just don't care. >> Yeah. He's never this mouthy with me. >> And it's I know it's a the influence of his friends. He thinks he's a hard. >> He needs to You need to clear out that TV. You need to clear out all those electronics. once he's you know, >> but I'm going to tell you right now, there's a chance he could be back tomorrow morning. >> Okay. >> So, take that. We'll take that phone tonight. You get rid of that phone. He ain't bringing it. I'm just I'm holding off until I see if we're going to transport him somewhere. What our plan is. >> Hit you in the head. >> You need to be truthful. He hit you in the head. >> Where at, bud? What did he Did he hit with his hand? >> Where at? When I got in there, they were on the couch. So, >> he had them pinned down on the couch. >> Step out here real quick and see what she was thinking. >> I'm waiting for them to tell me where we're meeting with him. >> Okay. >> Before I uh fight him cuz that's what's going to happen. >> Yeah, it's going to be a fight. >> No, he's uh he's got some music on right now. Listen to it. That's his MMO. >> Hoping that's kind of settling him down some. But >> yeah, juvenile prosecutor said we'll just do it as a domestic violence cuz he hit his brother and then criminal mischief. So just kind of outline like yesterday criminal mischief, domestic violence, EOC system. >> What's your favorite song? I want you to play it for me. >> This is it. You ever hear George Straight? >> Put some George Straight on for me. I'll calm you down a little bit. >> All right. >> If it's Bluetooth, I'll hook up to it. >> I wonder why your behavior is like this. >> Soon after, the boy's probation officer joins the authorities at the scene, prepared to help him handle the situation firsthand. >> You got it all fixed. >> Uh, no. We're waiting to Yeah, I figured. Are you John? >> This kid out of control today. >> I mean, he's been >> Oh, really? >> Oh, yeah. He just told me he suck my stupid. >> Yeah. I walked in. He's never been that mouthy with me. >> So, you know history. I'm assuming you know. >> Oh, yeah. I know him. He's new. He didn't know him. He tried. He wouldn't talk to him. And I tried to and he's like I said looked at his mom. See, you need to take that phone away. He's like that near my phone. I bought this. I'm not stupid. >> I'll go take this phone. Good luck. We're going to be under arrest as soon as I know where he's going or win. >> So, you're not going to talk? Is that how you deal with this kind of stuff? >> Go ahead and stand up. >> Come on. Easy way or the hard way? I'm giving you the option. >> The boy's outburst seems like nothing more than words until he takes it one step further and crosses a serious line. Relax. Relax. Relax. No. >> Wait. Enough. >> Yep. >> You got that one. >> Want to play games? Okay, >> it's going to be a minute. Stop it. >> You're fine, man. Just relax. [Applause] >> I can't get anymore. [Applause] >> All right, relax. Stop. [Applause] Stop. >> Stop. Stop. >> Just relax. [Applause] >> Just relax. >> Oh, he's fighting us right now. He's in handcuffs. He's laying on the floor screaming right now. So he's kind of with me right now. Yeah. Yeah. He's real peach. Ma'am, he's not epileptic, diabetic, nothing like that. >> No. >> Or alcohol. >> I bet I know of. >> Not that she knows of. >> The yelling doesn't stop inside the home. But now cuffed, the boy is led out to the cruiser with no choice but to comply. >> Oh yeah, we haven't been cuffed. We're trying. We got to get him out of here, though. But he just kicked the out of all of us. Try to get him stood up, guys. Let's try to see if we can get him out of here. Come on, man. Go hop up here for us. Okay, [Applause] [Music] watch. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I got it. >> I don't think this is going to go well. [Applause] Get in there right now. [Music] Kid wants to talk all the big game until [Applause] the courts are done. >> She's writing out a statement as to everything. >> I can hang out. You guys just funny. >> Yes. >> Get him gone. >> Yes. Thank you. >> Think the boy's done causing trouble? What happens inside the cruiser leaves even the officer stunned. Let them know they're going to need to bring every bit of two people. >> Knock it off. Calm down so it doesn't get worse. >> I can't go. >> You had a chance not to go. >> You didn't take it. >> You're going to go because of your behavior. That's just how >> I can be good. I want to go now. >> I bet you do. And maybe the next time I show up, you'll want to talk to me. >> You know, we're going to get this taken care of and we'll get it sorted through. >> I can't I'm going to be in there all night. >> Uh, yes, you will. >> I don't want to go. saying that kind of stuff. >> The probation officer tries to speak with the boy and what the boy answers is nothing short of unbelievable. >> Stop it or not paying attention a very long time. How long do you want to stay? >> How long do you want to stay? >> I didn't go, but I had to because of you guys. >> Oh, yeah. No, this is all because of you. This is Yeah, you tore doors off of the >> I could have fixed it. All I had to do was undo it. >> Okay, then knock off the making stupid choices when you're making stupid choices. >> I couldn't let me fix it. >> Where are you going? Let's [Applause] go. [Music] >> The teen was later arrested for criminal damage, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer. Number three, 19-year-old pushes her luck with the police and it backfires fast. In this case, officers on highway patrol spotted a vehicle with busted lights. Here's the traffic stop that followed. >> Hello. >> Hey, >> Deputy TR Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. >> Hey, how are you? >> So, uh doing good. Your uh front lights out. Got that headlight out on your right side over there. >> Is it real? >> Huh? >> Is it for real? >> Yeah. So, I was sitting over there and saw you coming up behind me and saw I was out. >> Do you have your uh ID on you? >> Sorry. >> No, you're right. Where you guys coming from? >> Coming from Cape. We're going to Orlando for my sisters. We're going to Halloween Horror Nights. >> Yeah, that's right. That's fun. >> I'm sorry. I even got my old change and you know how they do that check thing. They didn't even say anything. >> Yeah, that's weird. >> The left or the right? >> It's your your right side. Uh do you also have your insurance and registration as well? So while you're looking for that, uh I smell some It doesn't smell burned. It smells like it's fresh. Do either either of y'all have a card? >> No, sir. >> No. >> I don't know why it would smell like that. >> You don't have any on you or any in the vehicle? >> No, sir. >> No. Does anybody smoke in the car or have you smoked in the car in the past? >> I don't uh It's my mom's car. >> Your mom's car. >> Does your mom smoke? >> She She might on occasionally she has hidden problems. I I don't know if she does. >> Okay. >> All right. So, what we can do So, what we're going to do is we're going to search the car be on the premises of that you guys don't have a card and I can smell it. Uh, if there's nothing in obviously if there's nothing in here and we don't find anything, we'll let you guys go and go do your thing. All right. But do you guys mind stepping out of the car for me? >> Um, no. >> This could have been over in minutes. But the 19-year-old's reaction will turn this simple traffic stop into something far more serious. >> No, sir. Because I don't understand why you would need to go to that level when I'm just trying to go to my sister's house. I don't even do that. And last time I checked, to be honest, you guys can't do that off of smell. >> Yes. And you have if we have the smell and you don't have a medical car, we have right to search your vehicle. >> What are you What are you talking? >> So, we're going to ask you again to get out of the car nicely >> and then if I have to say it again, I'm going to rip you out that window. Those are your options. >> Why are you paying so much? >> I'm not cuz you're already I'm already asked you once and he's already asked you once. So, just get out of the vehicle. Yeah, obviously I don't understand. They're telling me for no reason talking about, oh, if you have your medical, they want to search my car, everything. I don't understand what I'm just trying. It's already late. It's already 9. I'm already late to where I got to go now. They're talking about it all for a headlight, but I didn't even know it was out. I went to the oil place today. They even did the check of all of it. Didn't even say anything. So, I thought I was on my clear. So, I don't I I don't understand why you're going through this car except sir. I really >> Because you can. >> Because you can. >> Yeah. >> Can I talk to your supervisor? >> Can you get out of the car? >> If you can get out, stand back there with this officer on the other side. >> And we'll go from there. >> Do not open my handle because now you're violating my >> Yes, you are. You are violating my right, sir. >> You're violating my right, sir. >> No, that's not fair. Ask for your supervisor. >> You're here again. Ask for your supervisor. >> No, this is >> this is not fair. I see. >> Get your hands off of her, please. >> Step out. >> Step out of the car. >> Step out, please. Step out, please. Come on. >> This is not fair, dude. >> Step behind you. >> This is not fair. >> This is not fair. She's in no position to make demands, but based on what she says next, it's clear she hasn't realized that yet. >> Okay, I will step aside, but I'm asking you not to put me in handcuffs. >> But I'm asking you not to do that. Can you please just stop? >> I can't. You got to >> That's not fair. That's not fair. That is not fair. I did nothing wrong. >> Give me the phone. >> No, sir. >> It's It's either that or a break. So then let >> go right here. No, >> sir. No, because you have no rights. You have no right. You have no right. I'm literally tired of it, >> dude. This is not fair at all. >> I'm so tired of this. >> You know what's funny? You guys did this before. I should have been the first time. >> I'm so tired. You guys literally came out the talking about it. So next time I ask for your supervisor, you wear body cams out. I asked for your supervisor. You went into my car, unlocked my door, and Yeah. violation. >> No. >> Yes. >> And she got out of the car. >> No. >> And you refused. >> Then refused. I asked for your supervisor. >> Take a deep breath. >> No, sir. Can I can you be your supervisor, please? Cuz I did ask before. I respect the rules. You >> say search first. >> You have thing on your person that's going to poke army stab me. >> No, sir. >> So you guys going to get a female deputy because I have >> I have a So you guys want to search your pocket? >> We're going to search your pocket. >> Try me. Don't check me. Get a female detective cuz I'm not with them now. >> Yeah. I don't give a a cop. someone better than you because you're violating my rights, sir. Especially you. This sir right here. Nice. This sir right here. Nice. You >> got you. >> I'm just going to search your pockets. Not going to go anywhere near anything else. All right. >> The search continues and so does the woman's accusations. >> I'm tracking this back one. >> All this for a headlight out. Could have gone if I was white. You guys gave me away with a warning. >> No, >> because I didn't know my light was out. >> That's funny. >> Funny. Let me see your front couch and our sweatshirt. >> All right. Just turn it for me. >> Cool. Thank you. >> Just went through the dryer. You smell the fabric? >> I do. >> Cool. >> All right. Going to put you in the back of my car. All right. >> Sir, can I please not? Cuz you guys did this last time. We went through this and you guys are just going to put me in there forever. >> We're not going to put you in there forever. Come on. Come on. >> All right. Time, bro. I'm tired of this. Go >> ahead and sit. Don't throw yourself in. >> Just Just shut the door and be alone. >> Just hang out. >> Okay. So upon my search in the glove compartment, I found >> Did it test? Yes. >> Did she say no? >> She said yes. >> Oh, she said no. >> Yeah. >> So I found and I found the gummies. So my question, are those yours? >> Sure. >> Are they hers? >> No, sir. >> No. Okay. At any point during the day, cuz you said it's your mom's car as well, and you said you're not sure. She You said she smokes sometimes? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, at no point did you guys look in in the glove box or anything like that when you took it from your mom? >> No, sir. I I No. No sir. >> I can't couldn't even find the registration and insurance. I haven't even been in that glove box. >> Okay. >> You talking about the the middle or or the one in the passenger in front of the passenger seat? front of the passenger >> in the front of the passenger seat on this side. >> The woman's excuse stays the same, but the lack of proof means she may still be facing serious charges. >> No. >> No, sir. >> They were in the registration. Did they go inside the >> I didn't see it? No. I saw just in the middle. >> Okay. You have any questions? >> So, that means I'm getting arrested for all this stuff. Well, if we can't put it on anyone, it goes on both. >> No, >> you you already know how that's going to go then cuz you know I'm not going to want her to go. So, >> it's none of ours and I'm >> That's your answer. That's your answer. I don't want you to change it. Now, you already told me once. Don't change it and tell me something else. [Applause] So I don't understand if if if it's none of ours, how are you going to take both of us? >> If you guys both of you in the car possession possession of both of you, >> it's it's she's not a part of my family. So that how does that make sense? It's it's my mom's car and mine. So it's my fault. It's not her fault. Okay. It wouldn't be her fault at all. You smoke? >> Yeah, but not not enough to go outside and get me in trouble. Not for this. That's That's my mom's car. It's not my >> You're saying gummies? What? What is this? Edibles or or? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Edibles. >> Have you had those before? >> No, sir. >> I might have tried it when I was younger, but I that's not a regular thing for me. I work all the time. time. I don't >> When was the last time you tried one of those? >> Smoking or uh >> edible. The edible. >> Be honest. >> Like, I'm being honest. I can't even think. Um last New Year's I think. >> No, like what? 20 2021. >> Yeah. So, last New Year. >> Now, the officers ask her yet another question. >> Have you been arrested before? >> Yeah. For for this Wait, was that even arrest? Yeah. for actually driving on a suspended when I graduated with a 4.1 GPA. Uh this was the year that we came back from Corona and there was something I only had gym classes cuz I've been like I I did all my like I was on my P's and Q's and so I only had gym classes and I guess they would make us have to like log in for attendance online every morning and I wasn't doing that. So they were saying I wasn't going to school. Then they suspended my license and and then I just got Yeah. in trouble for that. And then my brothers were with me and then my mom and it just the whole situation again. And I just >> Have you ever been arrested before? >> Arrest? Yes, sir. >> Just besides that? >> No, sir. >> Okay. So, you only got arrested one time for going to spend the night? >> Yes, sir. Let me ask you a question. Why you didn't uh get out of the car when the pick told you to get out? >> Because I don't I didn't understand as to why I had to like I understand I up because of the headlight. But I I just don't understand. >> What What do you say you didn't understand when when law enforcement tell you to get out of the car? >> In the end, the 19-year-old was charged with possession of illicit substances and resisting arrest. Number two, when your own attitude gets you arrested. In a similar case, what started as a routine traffic stop quickly escalated into something more serious. Here's what happened. >> How you doing? >> Hi, I'm Sergeant Do Police. I'm stopping you at war. You got a headlight out. Two, your license plates are expired. They've been expired since March. Are you aware of that? >> Uh, no, I didn't know. >> Do you have a driver's license on you? >> Yes. >> Do you have insurance for this car? >> Uh, yeah. >> Can I see it, please? >> I have it on my phone. >> That's fine. Mr. Edward, we've been smoking today. Smoking today? >> Uh, a little early. A little earlier. How long earlier are we talking? >> Probably like three hours ago. >> I got you. Who's Miss here? >> Nobody. >> I got >> You just got >> You got a black >> Oh, black. I got you. >> I can't find it. >> You can't find it. All right. I'll be right back. Okay. Hey, Miss Edwards. Come here. Did you find it? Come here for me for a second. We're going to talk. Step out of the car. I'm going to I'm going to explain that to you when you get out of the car. Step out of the car for me. Step out of the car for me, Miss Edwards. I'm asking you why. >> I'm going to explain you the reason why when you get out of the vehicle, >> Miss Edwards, we can either do this one way or another way. Okay? Okay, I'm asking you to get out of the vehicle and I'm going to explain it to you when you get out of the car. Okay, I'm asking you I'm I'm recording. Officer Kahan's recording and like I'm I'm going to search your vehicle. Okay, I'm going search your vehicle for a couple reasons. I'm going to search your vehicle for a couple reasons. One, the probable cause for the fact that the odor burnt and fresh your vehicle. Okay, that's still illegal to transport in this state. I told you I could work pretty easily with honesty and cooperation. The young man next to the seat, I mean, I'm not a petty officer, okay? The young man in the in the seat next, she is not even allowed to have that or that real on his hand because it's tobacco under age 21. Again, petty things that I don't really care about, but I work off cooperation. I have to make sure that you're okay to drive. You've admitted me to smoke. >> Okay. Well, I don't have to have your permission to search the car. And if you don't get out of the vehicle, no, I don't. That's called No, Miss Miss Edwards. Miss Edwards, I'm asking you nicely. Okay. >> I'm I'm not asking you. I'm telling you to step out of the vehicle now, Miss Edwards. And and you and the Supreme Court of the state of Illinois says you have to anyone has to get out of the vehicle when advised to. Okay? I'm asking you. I don't want to take you to jail for resisting. Okay? But I'm asking you to step out of the vehicle nicely, too. hurts my heart. >> I'm asking you to step out of the vehicle. Let's start with that first. Okay. >> And you and and Miss Miss Edwards, I'm telling you right now, if you don't get out of the vehicle, you're going to be placed under arrest for resisting. Okay. >> So, >> it doesn't take long for the officers to realize that this suspect isn't interested in cooperating with him. >> I'm asking I'm I'm trying to work with you, but you got to work with me a little bit here, okay? I really don't want to take you to jail for something like this, but please step out of the vehicle. You've already committed the offense of resisting, arrest, and obstructing. So, please step out of the vehicle. I'm not I don't want to take you to jail for that, but I'm asking you to step out of the vehicle nicely, please. >> I'm sorry. If you don't get out of the vehicle, Miss Edwards, we're going to remove you from the vehicle and take you to jail. I don't want to do that to you, but please step out of the vehicle. Okay. >> Where's Edward? >> I don't know. >> No, I We're going to do this one at a time. Okay. I'm asking Miss Edward to step out of the vehicle first. >> I'm Well, it's cuz he doesn't want you to get out of the car yet. We don't know who I don't know anything about you or anything like that. We're going to do >> If you feel comfortable with me getting him out first, I can. >> You want to get out of the car by yourself? I'll let you get out to Officer Callahan. Okay. Step out for me, man. >> You got to wait until I get >> You have to wait till we instruct you. >> And I appreciate your cooperation. You got to step out for me. Is that what step? >> Go ahead and put your hands up here for me. >> You got shake on you. You got anything else on you? >> I have him to search me. >> Why are you searching him for? Thanks. Come over here for me. >> Come over here. >> Let me go, bro. >> I appreciate it. >> Put your hands up here until he gets over here. >> Let me go, bro. >> Listen. Listen. Let's not make this any harder than it needs to be. Okay. You got anything? Let me go. That's right. Do you have anything? Come here. Come back here for me. Come here. >> That'd be a bad day for you. >> Do you have anything on you? I need no listen. Talk to me. >> You know how we get to have a Nazi? >> Listen. I'm from I'm from K. Don't we got to play this game? >> So, listen. I'm I'm the assistant fire chief. So, I'm from K. >> Do you have anything on you I need to know about? >> I got some. >> How much? >> A little bit. >> I see it. You got anything else you need to know about? I got a lighter. >> Well, the reason he's getting searched is because he's covered in an illegal substance. >> A tobacco product. A >> No, he's he's got green shake all over his pants, which explains the the baggie that's pulled out of his pocket. So, here's the thing. It's like like he was saying, it's not the crime of the century. >> Go ahead, get out the car, man. >> I told them that they for they trying to force me to get out the car. >> At this point, the standoff has dragged on long enough. The woman's brother has already surrendered and allowed officers to search him, but she continues to hold out. >> That's because you have to. And I don't want to take you to jail, but if we're going to go this route, I'm going to take you to jail. Miss Edwards, your boy's telling you to get out of the car, too. Okay. We Miss Edwards. Miss Edwards, I really don't want to take you to jail for this. Okay. You want your mom to calm me down first? You got to I I'll let your mom calm me down. You got to roll this window down. Miss Edwards, I don't want to I'm going to break it if you don't roll it down. So, please >> Hey, I'm going to get out the car. >> So, please step out of the car. I'm I'm being nothing but patient with you. Listen to me. Why do I need to roll the window down? >> So he can see you. This is his traffic. >> You hear me? The dad know if he want to see me come to this. >> No, this isn't how this works. Mr. Edward, you're not in control of this situation. I'm I'm giving you nothing but nothing but nice and cooperation with this. Something I don't have to give you. You could already be placed under arrest for resisting. I could break the window and drag you out of the car. I could tase you, but I'm not doing that. I don't even tell you you're going to jail. You just got to work with me. Okay. I'm giving you about 30 more seconds. M. >> I just said please. >> I'm not dragging you out of the car. I'm just opening the door. >> I already been gave him my car and my license. >> I haven't, but you got you still got to get out of the car, Miss Edwards. And I can explain it to your your mama, but you're an adult. Be more than happy to explain it to her, too, by how the law is. But you got to get out of the car for me. >> Thank you. You got to leave that bag in here. No, Miss Edwards. >> I cannot take anything. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands on your back. Put your hands on your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands You're under arrest. Put your hands behind your back. >> What? Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind me. >> Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. That arrest for aggravated battery of police officer. That was smart, wasn't it? Let go. >> Let go. Put your hand behind your back. Put your hand behind your back. Put your hand behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Mama. >> Put your hand. You're going to get tased. >> Put your hand behind your back. You're going to get tased. >> Your phone. stupid. I swear to God if I >> That's exactly what the >> fighting me was. Stop me, bro. >> Stop. >> Calm down. >> Now cuffed, she continues pushing back, seemingly still unaware that her own actions are the reason the situation spiraled in the first place. >> Calm down. You're >> making this harder on herself than it needs to be. >> Stand up. Come on. Come on. Stand up. Come on. See, that's fine. Then walk. I'm asking you to walk. I'm asking you to walk. I'll carry you then. I don't care. >> Biting someone is not very smart. >> Because y'all had no reason to put me ahead cuz I have already. >> No. I have the right out of my car that I don't want to be in charge. So, I've been Please in the car. Please get in the car. >> There's a nice cutout right there. Go ahead and have a seat. >> Have a seat. Come on. I'm We're going to put you in the car. Be in the car. >> Give me my keys. >> Give me my keys. All >> of you have a seat. >> Her keys. >> Have a seat. >> Can I have her stuff? When you sit down and I I finished searching the car. Sit down. I'll work with you. Sit down. We don't have her. >> Sit down. All the stuff's out here and I'm asking you to sit down. You don't want to end up like her. Sit down, please. >> We ain't doing nothing. >> But you're still you're still >> You can see him. >> I need you to step away from the car for him for a second. >> And I'm glad they recorded. So am I. All of them. All of us recorded. Put him in custody, too. Bro, get the out of her, bro. >> Don't Don't wor me. >> He said he said puts He just said put you in. >> I just I just I just did for now. Hold on. Stop. Put your Hey, listen. Listen. Listen. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands back. From the backseat of the cruiser, the woman keeps hurling insults, showing no signs of calming down while her brother is being detained. >> I swear to God, the police ain't they supposed to be here to protect us, but these doing like this. Yeah. Record this on my mama. Y'all stupid. You swear to God, I hate white people, bro. And that's on my mama. You stupid. Oh, you I swear to God, bro. >> She bit me, man. Look at that bite, Mark. I don't like being bitten. That wasn't very nice. That was nothing but nothing but cooperative with her the whole time. You know, I don't understand. >> Oh, my mama. I'm going to beat this case on my mama. Y'all y'all get on my nerve. You dumb white. Yeah. Know the law. You goof. Why this over there laughing? Do like a big burrito. Y'all dumb as like I don't know the law reason to search my car. That ain't even a prop. >> There's the there's the I'll leave your dollar in your grinder and all that in there. Okay. Cuz I don't care about that. I swear to God I hate white people, bro. I swear to God, bro. And then that's sad these black stick up for I'm not stupid. You racist. I still swear to God. That's why the I hate white people, bro. I'm >> sorry you feel that way. >> Hi, young lady. >> Who's the arresting officer? >> Oh, yeah. Would you like to speak to me? >> Calm nausea, calm the down. >> She's going to need to calm down cuz she's already bit me. So, >> calm down. With a suspect's mother now at the scene, officers take a moment to explain how the situation spiraled out of control and how her two kids got arrested. >> Let me on camera, so you and I are going to talk. We're going to talk right here. Okay. >> Yes. That's fine. >> So, here's the deal. Your daughter's under arrest. >> I understand that. >> Your daughter, while being placed under arrest, bitten officer, resisted arrest. Okay. Refused to get out of the car. We You were on the phone listening to her. She has She has to get out of the car, but we ask to get out of the car. That's the Yes, she does. The Supreme Court. Yes, she does. The Supreme Court. Listen, I'm not going to argue wrong with >> So, explain to me if you pulled her over for a normal traffic stop. All you smell was tobacco. >> No, I smell I explained that to her. That's on camera. >> Whether you smell >> she admitted to smoke in the car. Yeah. And that's and that's a probable cause to search a vehicle instead. >> Well, legal >> not legal to have in a vehicle. Listen, you >> want to You're going to I'm going to answer the question. >> Okay. Well, regard is even if you search the >> statute 11, you want to listen to statute? >> I know statute 11 very well. You know statute 11. What's statute 11 young lady? >> I don't have to explain anything to you. >> The illegal transportation of adult the class A misdemeanor in the state of Illinois. The illegal use of adult use class in the state of Illinois. >> Said it done >> which her a ticket. >> No, I had to search the vehicle first and I asked her to get out of the vehicle and she refused which is resisting which is resisting. So >> like we passed that part. >> We're not past that part. That's why she's in handcuffs and now she's going to get charged with a felony for aggravated battery to a police officer if she don't come down. So that's fine. So you you're you're asking my questions. I'm asking your questions for you. So >> and then my son >> your son is that Mr. Burge? >> Yes. >> He's under arrest for the same thing. Ille transportation. >> He was smoking a black. He was not in his He has pocket. >> He was smoking a black. >> Mr. Mr. Burge is going to get a ticket and get released. The only reason The only reason he's in handcuffs right now is cuz we had to control the situation a little bit. He's he's going to get a ticket just like the other young lady did and she's going to get released. He's been nothing but cooperative with me and and it's all about cooperation. If you can talk some sense into her, I'll release her tonight. But she's got to calm that down. Can I talk to her? >> I'll be more than if you're gonna if you're gonna not rile her up and you're gonna call her, I'll be more than happy to talk to her. >> I'm more Listen, I bet you heard me on the phone. I've been nothing but trying to call the whole time >> like no regular police. >> Let me roll the window. >> The officer stepped back, allowing the woman's mother to convince her to finally cooperate. But if you've been watching, you can probably guess how that turns out. >> Man, will you roll that window down? Do me a favor. >> No. Me, bro. >> Listen. Calm down. Calm down. >> If you calm down, he's going to write you a ticket and he's going to release you. >> No. He just told you that. He just tried to charge me for assault. >> Hey, listen. Shut the up and listen. >> I didn't bite that white. >> Shut up and listen. If you calm down, he just going to write you a ticket. Shut up. Please tell me. Shut up. Please shut up. >> Shut up. >> If you don't shut up, I'm going to show the car. >> Please. I'm not talking to you. >> Don't go say nothing. Don't say nothing to say nothing. >> Don't say nothing. Please. Just don't say >> don't change nothing. Zip it. >> That's it. >> We all make mistakes. You got to grow up and own it for a minute, though. >> That's all you got to do. >> The mistake that I made this to get out my car. I don't have to get out the car. >> Oh my god. Niga. Nigel. But I just told you don't let him. He keeps saying to me. Why the is he talking? >> Why can't he? Bro, >> shut up. I don't care. >> Come on. All you got to do is just be quiet and work with him. >> If you feel like you don't want to say nothing, don't say nothing. >> That's a great thing. But that's it. >> Here's here's what's going to happen. What's your mama here? I'll explain to you what's going to happen. All right. You're going with me to my police station. All right. If you start acting up at all, all deals I'm making go out the window. You understand? >> He really nice and he willing to work with you. All you have to do is shut up. Do what they asked you to do. >> She had a chance to walk away with less. But instead of realizing the gravity of the situation, she doubled down. >> Even looking past the felony charges on >> I didn't even say nothing. I just literally just been her listening. >> Shut the up. He just smack you cuz you won't. Shut the >> I didn't say nothing. What the did I just say? >> I just I just say hey. Let him explain what Okay. >> Can I not just say if you shut up? I didn't say nothing. Y'all just keep saying shut up. Shut up. Shut up. When I didn't just say >> the case concluded with a young woman being charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, obstructing justice and resisting arrest. So, it's kind of like I I just don't know. >> It's not like the first time I've been followed or threatened or anything like that. So, I'm just scared cuz I'm now back in town and I'm like I don't know if that was targeted or he's doing it to random people, but I didn't think it was funny. I thought it was scariest. >> Okay. So, you're in the passenger side, right? >> Yeah. >> You're driving. >> He was in the right lane. Like, >> where are you guys coming from? Northbound or southbound? >> I was going northbound. >> You guys are northbound on US one? >> You in the right lane or the left lane? >> Mhm. >> In the left. >> You're in the left lane. And this truck pulls up next to you guys. >> Yeah. >> He's driving next to us for a moment. >> Driving next to you guys for a moment. >> And then he just randomly did it. >> No road rage, no nothing. just puts the window down. >> The whole way he was fighting my kind of and he was like cutting people off. >> Okay. Like Okay. So, you noticed aggressive driving from him before that. I stayed my distance. >> He pulls up next to you guys, right? >> And around where does he just puts the window down. He has a gun. He's not pointing at you. He's like waving. >> Well, he he did point it at me cuz he's like this and I see the hole straight to my face and I'm like, what the like what is that? Sorry. What is that called for? Like what what is one to do? Whether it's fake, whether it's what it is, whether it's a game, what is one to call for you to point a straight end of a gun at me? >> Pull off here >> or No, no, >> pulled off. He pulled into here and then we took Wells Fargo and he came back this way and then came back. >> Sorry, I need you to I didn't understand that. >> So, it was the pedestrian walk that turned on. That's when he waved it and then we went through Wells Fargo when he turned off here and I came. >> Okay. So, you could call and get the description. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um >> Okay. And as far as you guys don't know the guy, you guys just some um >> Now that they've heard what happened, the officers try to narrow in on the suspect with whatever information the victim and her friend can offer. >> Can you describe the guy to me? >> I didn't see him. I knew it was truck. It was a >> It was 4x4 jacked up probably lift kit with some nice rims. >> Okay. Okay. Um I both your lices >> that also at the same time had pulled into here and then pulled out with them looking at us. So I don't know if they were involved. If there's nothing in the vehicle, he did point a gun at me. >> Yes. No. No. I am not joking. I hear you. I believe you. Orlando. I know what they look like. I've seen them recently and that was completely unable. >> Yeah. Um do you have a description for the gun? >> It was brownish like it looked like it was brown on the sides. It was thicker and it was black. I I'm not really good at it because I don't know guns. >> A color iss black brown. >> I saw the like hole right there and I was like, "Wow, that's a >> How old are both of you guys?" >> I am 19. >> You're 17. You're 19? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Um, so they're out with what we think is the truck. Okay. Okay. So, let me >> Yeah, I seen over cuz I was like I was like following the cops right behind me and I didn't see like try to tail him for a little bit and then we couldn't get too close to him >> and we just couldn't see the plate still for and she was like just turn around. We'll meet you guys back here. >> Okay. But when you guys turned around, you saw that we had the right truck pulled over. Um, give me a few minutes. Okay. >> All right. This be too long, right? >> It's going to be pretty long. Um, do you guys do you guys want to press charges on the guy? >> If it is a gun. Um, if I don't, will he learn his lesson? >> There's a there's that's the only real question because I'm young, too, and I don't know if he's young. He looked not too old, but I think people need to learn their lesson. That's the thing. >> Okay, then let me get the rest of the story and then you can make your decision. >> Um, I don't know the guy. I don't know what he'll learn from. >> This will be pretty long, you think? Cuz I got I got work in an hour now. We're we're going to be here for a while. >> More than an hour and a half. >> Uh yeah, >> it it depends what we're going to do with this. Do they find it? Do you guys press charges? Do you like just stick with me, okay? >> All right. >> As the victim shares her story, other officers are scanning the area. And within minutes, one of them zeros in on a possible match. >> Driver, step out with your hands up. >> Step out of the car with your hands up. information that you pointed a gun at somebody. Um, not aware of that. >> No. Anything else in your hand? >> I mean, other than my drink? No. >> A drink? No gun in the car? >> No gun in the car? >> No gun in the car? >> No, sir. >> All right. Just stand back here for me. Got anything on you I need to worry about? >> Huh? >> I don't have anything on me. >> All right. Did you get an argument, confrontation with anybody? on Friday with me. >> Okay. >> All right. Have a seat here. >> Can I ask what this is about? >> I said it was about a gun being pointed at somebody. Did you flash a gun at somebody? >> I don't even own a firearm. >> You don't? Was it a cell phone? >> Yeah, I did have my cell phone in my hand, but I don't I don't even own a firearm. >> All right, just have a seat real quick. Let me know whenever. >> Go ahead. I'm ready. >> Okay. Just walk backwards. Step backwards. Continue to step backwards. >> Can I please pull my pants off? >> Is there anybody else inside the car? >> No. >> There any weapons in the car? >> Huh? >> No, sir. I'm just >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Stand up. >> Okay. Put it right here on the passenger side. It's unlocked. >> All right. Step. Oops. Sorry. >> You guys to both please fill out these statements. Maybe this pen doesn't work. Um, just it's >> Yo, Jack. >> I know. I've done this. >> Is there a possibility you can cover my >> Before acting, the officer turns to his colleague to confirm how they'll approach the situation. They're like, "Bro, we're just driving and this black truck pulls up next to us and the driver puts his window down and he like does some stupid motions with a gun. A black and brown gun, which is more bulky, she says. And >> a black and brown gun." >> Yeah. She says, >> "What's she saying?" >> She says he points it at her like he points it at her. >> They might have thrown it out the window, too. >> Okay. And but they're like they're like we can confirm that you guys got the right vehicle cuz we were following them from a distance. >> Well, it says keeping it real on the back and everything matches the male male driver female passenger. >> She's like she doesn't know if she knows the guy or not. Like >> is she 100% sure there was a firearm. >> She I'll ask again. But she's she >> wasn't a cell phone cuz he's claiming he had a cell phone in his hand. It's what he told her outside. >> Oh, he's she's adamant. She's like, "I'm from Orlando. I know what a gun looks like. I've seen guns before in my life." Despite the accusation, the young man maintains his innocence as officers press for answers. >> All right, come on out. So, what happened? >> What do you mean? >> What? Argument, confrontation with anybody, road rage? >> No, that's why I'm confused. >> Uh-huh. >> Cuz I'm on the way. I got to go to a job site. >> And she called saying that you pointed a gun at her. >> I had nothing on my phone. And then I put my phone down and got my drink. That's it. >> All right. So we can check the car and make sure there's no gun involved. >> I haven't sent to any search, but >> Mhm. >> So other than that, nothing. >> Okay. You're going to let us or you're not going to let us because there's a gun involved. >> There's a gun involved, but what evidence do you have that's fire? Do you have video? Do you have my picture? >> She has a witness. She's not back there with you. >> I have a witness as well. >> Okay. >> So, I mean, that that doesn't give you any standpoint. And also I don't present to a search unless now you're going to make me late to my work which I'm in a very tight situation with work because of money. >> Okay. >> So >> well as fast we get this situated faster you leave you know that's all >> I'm going to call my mother and my attorney because I feel like this is unlawful and I just turned 18 as well >> I don't know too much about the law. >> Okay. Yeah. Give us a second and we'll let you get your phone call as fast as you can. All right. So that's why I'm like extremely confused cuz now I'm going to be late for my job. >> I have a partner. He's meeting with the lady who had called us to said what you did and we're getting approval on that. Okay, >> sounds good. >> All right, >> so I mean stand by just something just hit my arm >> where >> back there pinched heading up to mainland for work. >> Mhm. But you don't remember seeing another lady. No road rage. >> Yeah. All I saw was a there was a guy I knew from my school, but that's it. >> Uh-huh. >> I had seen a lady or nothing like that. >> At any point, did you put the camera in the air to make >> my phone in the air like this, but that's it. >> Was she next to you? No, >> I don't remember cuz I didn't see a lady. So, it's hard for me to say that kind of information without actually knowing. >> Okay. >> With both officers working separate angles, they try to piece together whether this is really their guy. >> All right. Like I said, nobody's uh arrested yet, and we're just trying to figure out what's going on. 100% it's a gun. >> 100% it was a gun. I saw if >> I've seen a gun before because of Orlando. But if you want if you if you hold a gun up, even if you were to cuz I know cops have them. Hold your gun up and look at the end of it right there. It's the front of a gun. I would shock this. When I saw it, I was like, I've never seen a gun that close to my face. I've seen I' I've seen him close to my face, but not with another person I don't even know doing. It's weird because he looked familiar and I don't know if I know him and maybe he just mistakenly didn't think I I wouldn't report and maybe thought like, >> "Oh," >> but wouldn't he tell the cops, "Hey, yeah, that was my friend Isabella." >> No, we're not friends. That's the thing. His face looked familiar, but I have a lot of hate and I someone that just >> maybe made the joke out of hate and threatened me to be scared or something like that. And I I don't want to mess with any >> connecting my stupid car. All right, so we found the gun. It's sitting right behind the center console. It's brown like she said with black. It's got a black um it's mostly brown, but it has a black like hulser. >> So he pulled So what like what is she saying? He just randomly pulled up to a number. >> Yeah. Ask her if she wants to press charges. >> Um >> and yeah, ask her if she wants to press charges. Yeah. And um and we need a written statement from her with all that like describing the gun and everything that happened. And >> we'll take him for >> echo. Yeah. Ask her up. That might be his mom. His mom was calling his phone. His cell phone just so you know. lock doors just to make sure make sure your doors are locked. >> So, we're just waiting to see if they want to if Harold's she's filling out a statement now. If she says yes, then we'll have her come down here and we'll do a >> Moments later, the suspect's mother arrives and the officer wastes no time filling her in on the situation. >> That's my son and I just my friend called. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah, we're we're just waiting to see if the victim wants to press charges. >> What is it? >> He pointed a gun at some lady. I guess they got I think it was a road rage related thing, but um we're just trying to find out what they what she wants to do. He's 18, so he's he's an adult. >> He's driving my truck. So, I was like, if there's I didn't know if it was somebody if if she wants to press charges. It was used in a commission of a felony. So, it'll likely be towed. So, we're just waiting to hear. They're they're down there getting statements from the victim. Now, >> he hates my ex-boyfriend. He probably thinks it's my current boyfriend. >> Does that change your Y's Instagram? That was Yic. >> Okay. Is that >> changing your opinion if you want to press charges? >> I'm pressing charges 100%. I'm sorry. >> Maybe somebody went to Instagram and searched it up, but once I found out who it was, cuz I didn't want to ruin someone's life. >> I know who. Go to his Instagram right now. >> The guy they have pulled over >> is Yotic. This kid that I was dating and we got back together after a little rough moment. And from that point when we got back together, I saw Yotic was always like trying to cut him off or acting insane with the truck or like rolling dust wherever he could, following him home to Venetian sometimes when he got angry and just like speeding off right there when he tried to turn into his neighborhood trying to get into him. >> That is nothing in your boots. Anything in jail? >> I'm going to jail. >> Yeah. Now you're being arrested. For what? >> H aggravated assault with a firearm. >> What firearm? >> The gun we found in your car. >> Gun? >> Yeah. Huh? >> In the end, the 18-year-old was charged with felony assault. Think they'll be back at it again? Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below, and I'll see you in the next video.
