an officer was on a motor assist call on
highway 35 under the i-90 overpass in la
crosse wisconsin

an inattentive driver struck him from
behind causing heavy damage

rear-ended and that pushed me into the
vehicle in front of me

on the vehicle that hit me

airbag deployment that uh it's kind of a
little bit of haze right now

can't get the driver door open

when he hit you so
i didn't expect it to happen but i just
pulled a quick u-turn to see if you were
okay
was he just coming down this this thing
and he didn't see me
looks that way because i didn't hear any
skid marks or anything because the
impact yeah i was i wasn't even paying
attention obviously
boom there's no skid marks so he wasn't
paying attention and you were well lit
because i saw you all the way from there
yeah let me just grab your name and
number just so that you have that
documented it's going to take you a
while to clear so this i think this
this one might the only thing they might
need is uh
it's gas so they might be able to get
going
um obviously now we'll need to grab all
their information for a uh for an
accident report too but if you want to
help her out with that that might help
out sure you've got a little cut on the

just happened fast

so so his vehicle you can see in the up

hit the one in front
and see i hit my head on something
this is the back of your head then uh

right there on the side hit it on the

to flash it your eyes like to stare at

the officer was transported to the
hospital with minor injuries and the
driver of the striking vehicle was cited
for inattentive driving pay attention
when driving on the road and obey the
move over law
