IT'S A LAW. >> WE CAN listen to you. We're not going to listen if you're yelling. >> You're right. You're right. It's a law. >> Don't hate me for something. >> Exactly. That's what he's doing. He's turning me. >> As two officers fight to keep the suspect under control. Another moves in to figure out how to fully secure him. >> Can you tell him to stop? Can you tell him to stop? He put PRESSURE ON ME TO STOP. THANK YOU, >> SIR. You got to You got to quit. >> Thank you. >> Let me get you restrained. You got to you got to relax. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> You got to relax in the car. >> I need TO BE ABLE TO STOP. THANK YOU. >> OTHERWISE, >> THANK YOU. >> All right, get in the car. Let's go. >> What's your head? >> Thank you. >> Good thing he hit you. >> Yes. I don't want to press charges >> cuz it was >> You're pregnant. >> I understand that. He not the only person that hit me. >> There was a a over there standing next to the post. She swing to me three times, too. >> So, I don't I I don't want to get into it. I just want him to go to jail. Calm down. Whatever he going through >> and just come home. He don't act like this. I don't know what happened. He must I don't I don't know what's going on. >> The victim was that is that that tall guy? No, the the black guy was a bus driver, I guess. >> I don't know because I got here >> and he started running away from me. So, I told him to get on the ground and he start running and put scissors. So, I got him here. >> Officers now begin collecting statements starting with a witness who observed the entire disturbance unfold. >> So, what exactly went down? >> Now, we sitting on the bus. He comes in. >> He says something to the to the bus driver. And as he's going down, he's about to I don't give don't me something. I guess he might have stopped him to try to for him to show him his badge >> naturally. >> So he keeps going and gets to the back of the bus, >> sits down and he's he mouthing off to the bus driver. Nobody saying nothing. Everybody looking at him walk by. >> He gets out to my y'all be wrong with something but I spaz out if I crash out of here. He heads up, gets up, goes to walking like he's gonna get off the bus. Boom. Just start hitting the bus ride. >> Yeah. >> And then I >> I'll do it. Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, bus driver initially. Bus driver initially. >> I got up. There was a few others got up to to break him up. >> Yeah. >> And I get him all of them and me >> I think we kind of fell fell on him. >> You get punched? Who's the initial guy that gets punched? >> No, bus driver. >> The bus driver. So, they're here somewhere. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, that's our initial >> bus driver is the initial person. >> Yeah. >> Was the bus driver say anything or No. >> No. >> You didn't hear nothing from the bus driver. >> Then I get up to uh break it up and another person >> I think we kind of fell on him. >> He he let loose and start to get ready to go to the back. initial >> and and it's a female. You just start punching a female sitting in the in the chair. >> Her? >> No, that's the girlfriend of who we was with. >> Initial victim's bus driver. >> That's who he started. >> Oh. >> After hearing the witness's version, officers determined the best way to sort out the chaos is by collecting [music] written statements from everyone involved. >> First guy, >> he was probably >> third or fourth. >> First guy getting the bus driver. All right, >> the girls, this lady, young lady here was second. >> Okay, >> he finally starts to go off the bus. >> Then I I think that's when he he he came at him. >> Okay. >> And start fighting. >> Initial guy. >> We're getting everything in order. I'll get you some state I'll get some statement forms and I'll get whoever >> you need or whoever we all need >> starter. >> Okay. He's initial. He's the first guy that gets hit. >> Okay. And then she's the second and then you guys try to break it up >> probably. You get hit >> and then I guess my two say I look like something in my face. I ain't feel >> but >> I throw a blow too on he get up and then he he >> looks at me after breaking up and then we up >> and then finally I think John my supervisor end up calling. >> Yeah. >> Come then one of y'all got here and he took off running around. the box. >> 1 2 3 four >> at least 14. >> The investigation continues as officers take the bus driver's statement about the chaos that unfolded. >> Do you think you can tell me what exactly happened? >> All right. >> Your best knowledge. >> He's coming. >> Yeah. >> I checked out his back. >> Yeah. >> He's going to bullet. >> You mind if I see your DL? >> You got his DL or I got it. I I got it. I got it. my my b I don't know what my boss what it is. >> Yeah. >> I think I lost it. But I don't have >> he he started to to scream me to to to say I said hey take it easy. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Don't don't you didn't say anything and he's coming like that right? >> Yes. Coming down the whole time he was on the back and he's like up. So he's talking >> and when he see when he see when he I started to call to duty to send the police >> I started to talk to duty to send the police where my location is. >> Yeah. I'm listening. Keep going. You have sight. >> You might have got somebody got out. Don't even worry about it. >> Okay. And so he started >> soon as he tried to get out because the back door was closed. Somebody said open the door. Open the door. Open the back door. Yeah. I tried to open it, but when he's coming to the front door to get out. Yeah. >> He's swinging me. >> Also trying to run up on me. So I don't know. She tried to punch me. >> Yeah. >> Did she What she said? >> She said that to me. >> All right. I think I saw We'll give her a talk. We'll talk to her. Yeah. >> And that who has the situation, he started to to to punch me. I tried to fight fight back. >> Yeah. >> And in that time this this just >> one witness who got into a prolonged fight with a suspect and was left injured is now asked to share his account. >> So what how did he swing on you? >> What hand was it closed or open? I can't remember what section or how that happened cuz I was in disbelief. >> Absolutely. >> Yeah. And plus I was really watching trying to make sure this lady all right cuz he got a clear shot off him. >> Okay. >> So when he had tried to swing at me that's when we locked up. >> Okay. >> Took him off the bus. >> But by that time everybody breaking us up. So with whatever hand that he hit you with. All right. Where did he strike you at? >> When the clutch broke, >> but he made contact. >> Yeah, he made contact. >> Okay. And it was right next to your your left eye. >> Yeah. >> Or the above the brow >> in the temple area. >> Yeah. >> He didn't get a flush. He >> No. No. I get he >> Yeah. >> Yeah. But he he did well. >> You okay? >> Well, thanks for trying to break it up. >> What happened with that other girl? >> Um, so when they were holding down her boyfriend down there, >> I'm going to get statement for her. >> Yeah. >> I ran up like we were all attacking. So she turns around and she's like, "Put the up." She starts like cursing at me. So I was like, "He punched me in my face." Um, that was really it honestly with her >> right here. >> Oh yeah. Okay. You got a >> Yeah. >> He came up and he was just like >> I was trying to break it up and then he like looked at me cuz I was like like I started cursing and I'm like the back whatever whatever. He looked at me and he literally just backed up and just like me. >> So my reaction was to kick him. I tried to kick him back and everybody just kind of took him outside. >> Yep. >> Well, you did a good job. I'm glad you're all right. >> Yeah. I'm glad that guy got away from everyone. So, he's on his way to jail now. So, >> officers eventually questioned the man's partner, who attempts to soften the story despite multiple witnesses claiming he lashed out violently. >> Has he ever done anything like this before, >> sir? Nothing of like not even close. Like he >> he's passionate so like sometimes he gets loud but that's it. He's he wouldn't >> How long you guys been? Like we've been together for like a year and a half. >> Okay. But he's never I've never even seen him like have an altercation with like on the street. Never like >> never. This this >> is a >> As of recently, has he been acting different or? >> No. >> I don't know what happened on the ramp at work, but he's just he called me at like 7:00 >> and he was just like ranting about whatever was going on. He never had like a direct >> this is what happened. This is why I'm mad. He just was like like I'm tired of doing all the work. I'm tired of him treating me like I'm like the only person there. I guess he feels like he's overworked or something. He does work a lot of hours. But >> he just wouldn't let it go. And then we got on the bus. The bus driver tried to like tell him like, "Chill out. Don't you know what I'm saying? Don't get on the bus with that." >> And from there, I guess he just blacked out. Like he just lost it. >> I don't I don't I've never seen him act like >> not and he plays video games. Like not even video games. He doesn't >> He doesn't act like this. This is so >> mindboggling. >> You're okay though? >> That's the main thing. Okay, >> that's the main thing. >> He needs to get some sleep >> and tomorrow he's going to be like like how did I end up in jail? >> Like seriously? >> Yeah, >> cuz he's never even been to jail. >> Like he's never even been handcuffed like >> really. Okay. >> Well, the thing the main thing is that you're okay and everyone is okay. By the end of the encounter, the man faced several serious charges, including battery on a pregnant woman, battery on a victim over 65, multiple counts of battery, resisting an officer with violence, and disorderly conduct. Number four, passenger thought airport rules didn't apply to him. Then this happened on April 30th, 2024. Officers responded after witnesses reported a passenger causing a major disturbance at a rental car counter inside Dest Fort Walton Beach Airport. Here's how things unfolded when officers stepped in. >> No offense to you. I just took the nuclear option. >> Okay. What do you mean? >> Why are you doing that, man? Why don't you go put that down? Hey What are you doing, man? Why'd you just do that? Why'd you do that, man? What's going on? >> You going to take the this from >> We're going to come over here. You're going to talk from us 911. Can you meet me up a contact? Hey, >> me right now. >> I'm going to go and figure out what's going on. It's got I'm a corn United States veteran. >> That's great. I'm a veteran, too. That doesn't mean you can act like >> where from where was your >> bomb hammer? That's what I was >> bombdong hammer. Did you ever serve in >> Yes. Cook >> or misul? Anyways, we're not getting into that. >> Mosul Kirk Cook. >> Yes. >> Talk. You're over here. Hold on. >> Peace. >> Hold on. Why don't we bring it down a bit? >> Mosul. >> Yes. Come on. >> Kirk Cooker Bill. Yes. >> You said some things that make sense that doesn't make sense to him. >> Right. Here's the thing. We got >> you guys trying to check to fly out right now. >> I just got flagged down by a citizen saying that there was someone inside there cussing and >> now we have things bleeding out right here. We have things bleeding out right here. >> Makes a lot of sense to me too. >> You're shaking while you showed me that. You suck. >> You spit in my face, dude. >> I don't give a >> I know you don't give. That's why I'm not running to you. >> And I'm going to take this Mac, too. Um, we're we're going to talk to you. >> Yes, sir. >> I'm at Herz. >> Over at Herz? >> Okay. >> You got your ID? >> Yes. >> I have a million IDs. >> You want to see my ID, brother? >> Witnesses explained the suspect spat on a rental employee. And as officers question him, his intoxication is impossible to ignore. >> Florida. I got a Florida. I got a Florida. Look at this. I got a Florida. I got a California. for I have a intoxicated passenger. >> I got a VA. >> I got a >> I got a battery. >> Really? >> Yeah. I'm seeing what's going All right. >> I got everything, dude. What are you talking about, man? >> So, >> I was a marine. >> Okay. I'm trying to figure out what's going on. >> Don't act like I'm like on his level. >> I'm talking to you normally. >> Act like No, I'm talking to you normally. screaming. Let's not scream. >> We're screaming. Let's talk like this. This is better. I got flagged down because someone said >> this is the favorite thing that I've ever seen coming into this airport. >> Okay. >> Cuz this Hilo right here cuz this is the first thing that I've ever seen. It makes a >> literal sense. >> Okay. Why? What's going on? Why did it get flagged? >> Don't you want to do something? >> I want to talk to you is what I want to do, man. So, let's talk. What is going on? I got flagged down saying that someone was over trying to rent a car and they were causing a big scene. That's what I'm getting at here. I just got told by someone else over two that apparently you've been intoxicated. You were trying to rent a vehicle. I'm not sure if they denied you service or what's going on, but I'm trying to figure that out. >> I'm literally going there so I can go to the 46 test squadron. >> Okay. >> Find figure out my last two weeks of my project that I'm on. >> Okay. >> Right now. >> Okay. cuz I'm leaving it and I'm going to L3 Harris next month. >> Okay. >> When I go back to California. Okay. >> And I know that there's a lot of stipulation against people that are like, >> you know, they're like California guys. We like with them a little bit. >> The suspect claims to be a military vet and remains aggressive toward those around him, but officers eventually calm him down enough to explain his version of events. So, I don't necessarily like your attitude. >> So, that's what I'm saying. >> Okay. Well, I didn't have no idea you're from California. You got two separate IDs here. So, I don't know exactly where you're from. Being in the military, I have no idea where you could have been from cuz people come from all over. >> Did you ever join? >> I literally just told you I joined. I served. Did 7 years and I got out. >> What branch? >> I just told you it was Air Force. I was a bomb dog handler. >> You were a bomb dog? >> Bomb dog handler. K9 handler. Looked for explosives. >> You was a fallout dog. Sure. So, here's the thing, my man. >> I like you. >> What's What's going on? Why What happened over at Herz? >> I'm just literally trying to get a car to go to my hotel. >> Well, I can tell you >> I have to go to the 46 test squadron next to tomorrow. >> Mhm. And >> operate with you Air Force dudes. >> Okay. >> And I have to be like that. Okay. >> But I'm a Marine and Okay. I have literally no problems in Marines and my best friends are in Marines. So that's not the case at all. There's no problems going on right now. I can tell you this. You're definitely not going to be renting a vehicle because you are intoxicated. >> Yes, I am intoxicated. I've been drinking at the bar for 2 hours, >> right? So why would >> Cuz my flight got delayed, >> right? So why why would you go ahead? >> Is he going to shoot me? What the is he going to do? >> What's Why are you being like this? Why being a hostile, man? We're literally talking here. Oh man. Okay. You good? >> Okay. Well, sit tight, Mr. McCoy. >> With a suspect's statement now collected, officers returned to speak with a rental car employee to hear his side of the confrontation. >> You guys, >> so he was standing in line here >> and they had like five or six customers and he was at the very end. So, he got on the phone and was talking to somebody and was talking about how how this >> Yeah. Yeah, >> I shouldn't be standing in line here this long. >> And um he started getting louder and louder and then he looked over at me and noticed I didn't have a line and he said, "Hey man, can I get a car from you?" >> And I'm like, "Yeah, I can rent you a car." >> Okay. >> So, as he's walking up, I could smell alcohol in his breath. >> And um he said um want to know how much it was going to be because he's got work that he's got to do on base is what he told me. And um and I was like, "Yeah, no problem." And I I wasn't going to rent to him. I was just kind of playing along. So, I printed off like a fake like contract and I was like, "This is what you would be paying." >> I said, "But really?" I was like, "You're going to have better luck going down the line." >> And he was like, "Oh, really?" He was like, "I'm a US Marine. I will you." And he spit in my face. >> And I was like, >> "Yeah, the interview with everybody that saw it." >> No. Well, the ladies that were here in line, um, there were two customers that saw it. >> Okay. You know where they're at? >> They just took off. In a surprising turn, the suspect attempts to scare the officers only to learn that intimidation won't get him out of this situation. >> Because you guys are being like this. >> Like I literally just get back to my hotel and you guys could be like a >> shirts off man to man. We could drop glasses, boy. We're doing nothing. >> You know, you ever drop glasses? >> We're not doing >> You ever been in the Marine Corp and drop glasses? >> Never been in the Marines, but I know what that term is. >> Yeah. >> Huh? >> So, why son? >> Chill out, son. You're fine. Here, come here. Put your hand behind your back. >> Your back. >> Put your hand behind your back right now. >> You're being detained. All about the boys. >> Yeah. We going to do Make sure You better make sure you do two of them. >> Okay. Mhm. So, do them all right. Do them good and tight. Boy, I'm a Georgia boy. >> We're not going to do that. >> You're done. You're done. >> You're done. You're done. >> Why Why are we getting hostile like this? Overall, we started the whole entire day off like this. Why? >> Because I'm just trying to go to mying hotel and you guys started acting like >> Okay. Well, I >> And then you're that you got me detained. >> Mhm. >> You tried to put me in. >> Would you want to up >> me up, boy? >> I'll drop to my knees and let you >> What are we doing? here. >> What are you doing? What are you doing? You're just You suck at it. You suck at your job is what you do. Hey. Hey, Mr. Chief. You know he sucks at his job. >> You know he's terrible at it. >> You're not going to say anything about it, Mark? Handcuffed and secured, the suspect still refuses to settle down, continuing to threaten officers on the scene. >> Yeah. Don't say a thing about it. >> Hey, we're not going to do this. >> You're going to hang on. >> We're not >> calm down, dude. >> Calm down. >> I'm trying to figure out everything that's going on, but you're going >> What? What are you you're trying to figure everything out? What are you TRYING TO FIGURE OUT? What are you trying TO FIGURE OUT RIGHT NOW? >> Kick my kick my >> What are you doing? Stop. >> YOU'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING. YOU'RE NOT DOING THIS THING WRONG. >> STOP. >> I'll drop to my knees and let you up, boy. What are we doing here? >> We're not doing what >> stop it now for I served for seven years. These are >> I'll kick your right now. The warnings keep coming, but his behavior doesn't change. And the officers decide they're done waiting for him to cooperate. >> All right. We got resisting. >> All right. All right. >> Oh, yeah. Man, shut up. >> What you got on me? I don't got nothing on me, dude. Relax. Check. He's going to check it real quick if you got nothing on you. >> That dude that's sitting right there. Just sit. >> All right. >> Hey, man. >> You want to roll this at me? >> You hear that easier? >> I've been trying to go and double up the other handcuffs for a minute. >> Chill. Chill. >> I'm a combat veteran. >> I'M A COMBAT [screaming] VETERAN. ARE YOU a combat veteran? >> Hey boy. Hey boy. Hey boy. Are you a combat veteran? >> I'm not a combat. >> All right. Ready. Three, two, one, let's go. >> Are y'all doing the car? >> Have a seat for me. Can I have a seat? Get him in there. Let me see. >> Yep. >> All right. There we are. Get your foot in. Get that foot in. >> After causing a scene and tussling with multiple officers, the suspect was charged with battery. battery on law enforcement and resisting arrest without violence. Number three, flight crew had enough of this passenger's behavior. On January 2nd, 2024, officers responded to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport after reports of an intoxicated passenger disrupting flight procedures and delaying departure. Here's what happened when officers boarded the plane. >> We have everybody. Yeah, we did. Okay. >> Have to share some. >> Okay. >> All right. Do you want to point out where he's at? >> 29. >> 29. >> Yeah. I'm not going back there. >> Thank you for your patience, folks. This is as quick as possible. Get you guys all off. 29. >> Me? >> Yep. >> I'm the lucky winner. >> 29 up. >> Excuse me real quick, sir. >> Do you have all your stuff? >> Hey, I got a bag overhead. >> You can grab it. Wonderful. >> I'm the lucky winner. >> You are. >> I got a gray escort. >> Yep. >> Excuse [music] me. Awesome. >> Handcuffs or not? >> Handcuffs. Come on. >> Really? >> Yeah, we do. >> Thanks, folks. Appreciate it. Oh, I died. >> Thanks, Moose. Appreciate it. >> Make sure she's over that little top, please. Somebody somebody getting here. We're just taking this up. >> After being escorted off the plane, the suspect gives his side of the story while repeatedly reminding officers of his so-called distinguished position. >> Oh no, they are not. >> We're going to take them downstairs. >> Take them downstairs. >> Take them downstairs. >> That way we don't have an audience. That's what I was asking. Thank you so much for the help. >> Yep. >> Can you tell me what the disturbance was about? >> Oh, we told we were told you got on the plane and you were cussing and swearing and acting a fool. >> That's okay. >> Well, Southwest doesn't call us very much. So, when they call us, there's a problem. >> Well, what happened was, and if you don't mind me telling you the story. >> Well, we were going to ask you your side of the story. >> Oh, okay. Well, I didn't Oh, it seemed like some of those very easy to get cuffs up very >> well. We usually do cuff most people. But >> that's a little ridiculous if I'm being courtal, right? >> Well, usually when we're told that people are acting a fool, we usually cuff them. >> You also have to visualize that they're acting a fool. I know SRP. I was in the military. I know what it goes behind. >> Give us your side of the story. >> Oh, no. I want you to wear the proper setup. Are are you going next to the flight attendants here? >> We're getting their story right now. We have a couple of deputies talking to them right now. >> It's kind of messed up. We're going to go one v one on this. It's a little messed up. Can't even sit there and let me I have video. However, my phone did die through the flight. I made sure to video portions of it. >> I'm sure all the the parts that you wanted to video, right? Just like they videoed all the portions they wanted to video. Yeah, I hope they videoed me cuz you'll see from the very get I didn't do anything. It's just being an argumentative beginning. Her words, not mine. >> Yeah, he we're escorting him back down to the office. He's being uh fine with us. While being escorted out, officers notice his calm demeanor beginning to fade as his attitude starts [music] taking a turn. back. >> Now, we're going to go back to our office. We'll get your base. We'll get your base. >> No, I don't have that explainer. This is all I care for. >> Okay. >> I just want you to know that everyone that was around us when they heard that we were waiting for law enforcement to approach, they started laughing like she realizes find out what's going on, right? Well, >> I'm just going to walk out here tonight. That's all I know. Here. We're going to go this way. >> I'm following you. >> Who asked to handcuff me? Who was that? Which one? Doesn't matter, man. >> Why? >> Cuz >> why are you so stirred? Jesus Christ, dude. >> Cuz it's our procedure usually when we're asked to take somebody off >> one plane. So >> Jesus, why are you so intimidated by it? >> Relax. >> I'm just a general guy sitting here. >> Hello. >> How's it going? >> Are we going to have anyone from the flight on this interrogation? >> It's not an interrogation. We're going to ask you your side of the story. I mean, if you want to handcuff me, that means I'm being detained. And he wanted to handcuff me very properly. So, I'm being detained, right? Which means I have a right to a lawyer. So, >> detained, not arrested. Detained. We are asking your sign to the story. There is a difference between detained and arrested. Detain. So, apparently, >> I have the right to remain in the way. >> Come here. >> You don't know where to go. I'm following you. >> Detained in the airport security room, the suspect suddenly decides cooperation is off the table. >> Stop. >> That was a curse word. I said >> Yeah, it was a curse word. Apparently, you're pretty good at that. You have a >> freedom of speech. Yes, it is. >> Well, not in a public place. It's not. Do you have a a license? >> Oh, no. Unfortunately, I I don't I guess. >> How did you get on a plane? >> You know, I I don't remember where it left. You know, >> where's your license? Hang on, sir. I need your driver's license. >> In charge. Who's in charge? >> Sergeant. >> Do you see it? >> Thank you very much. >> Why are those people can exit? >> We need a >> We'll get it to you outside. >> We'll give it to you in just a second. You guys give it to you. >> No, I'm not going to be forbidden from flying from you guys. >> Have a seat. >> I think your supervisor told yourself. >> I'm telling you. >> Excuse me. That's great. I have a freedom of speech. I'm not the public servant here. I was on a USA flight. If you assume I have an ID. >> Uhuh. No. No. >> No. No. No. Come on now. >> You don't have the right to my property. >> Sit down. >> Okay. No. Hold on. If you assume I have an ID, you don't have the right to search my property. >> Sit down. >> Okay. >> Tell me something. All right. >> Sit down. >> Is it Sergeant? Is it Sheriff Seagull? >> Sit down. >> Sheriff Seagull. Can I ask you a question? When do you have the right to search? >> With the situation getting more heated than the suspects still refusing to cooperate, officers move in to finally shut things down. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. You told me I'm detained. >> I said you're being detained. >> You have no right. >> I said you're being detained, not arrested right now. >> Let me talk to you, please. >> There is no talking. Put your hands behind your back. >> Calm the gun. You're going to get >> my hands are behind my back. >> Yep. >> Sheriff Supervisor, my hands are behind my back. Why is this aimed at me? >> Cuz you're not in total hand. >> You have five seconds to put down. >> Supervisor, >> put your hands behind your back. >> Then tell him to put the down. I see your hand. >> I have no reason to be a great cop. >> Stop. >> I'm not. They are pushing me into you and you're putting that on me. >> Turn away from your guy. Okay. Get your hands out of my eyeball. Hey, >> go right down. >> You're going to go. >> Did you see the sheriff put her hands in my >> Wasn't in your eyeball. >> It was in my eyeballs. >> Your eyeball is >> Yeah. Put now. >> Had them now. I'm going to put them right in the slide. >> All right. Hold on. >> There's no hole there. >> No. No. Tell me where video cameras are here. I just had her fingers in my eyeballs, his taser against my chest, and you have no evidence against me. There is no such thing as disorderly in a non-public place. This isn't public. This is a private office. Do you understand that? I'm about to do the >> the suspect was charged with interfering with flight operations, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest without violence. Number two, entitled passenger misses flight then causes a scene. On March 1st, 2024, officers responded to a local airport after airline staff reported a disruptive passenger who refused to leave. Here's what unfolded when officers arrived. to back up. I am going to tell you everybody >> everybody needs to back up. >> No, I need I need to get I need to go back to New England and live where I live. >> All right. Can I Can I talk to this guy real quick? What What's your name, man? I haven't done nothing to you. I haven't done nothing to you. I'm literally just trying to board my plane and go to sleep because I'm about to fly almost 2,000. Did you not just like you just told me her up? Did you not just tell me to get out of your face? >> I don't give a I don't give a about her. >> I got I I have a whole No. Get >> Come over here and talk to talk to my partner. I don't even know her. >> All right. What What's your name, man? >> No. Stop. >> What's your name? >> She She's not going to want to talk to you, man. That's why we got called out. >> Okay. Yes, sir. >> Take a step back. Take a step back. Take a step back for me. And what's your name, sir? >> I'm I'm Bryce. Smith. If I was going to her up, I don't give a about her. >> I really don't. >> Okay. So, >> I just want to get I don't even know her name from Sam and Sam. I don't care. >> You don't have any weapons or anything like that on you, do you? No, I don't. >> Go ahead and turn around. Let me rescue real quick. Make sure you don't have any weapons. Make sure you have >> I don't have anything. >> How How are you going to >> Okay, I'm sorry. >> Where you flying to? >> To me, over here. >> Where? >> Right here. Right here. >> Where did I put my bag? Go move your bag over here close to me. Let's talk over here. The suspect continues to vent his frustration, but the officers managed to settle him enough before speaking with the airline staff for their version of events. >> What's What's your name? I don't know what to call you. What's your name? >> Uh, my name is Bryce, but I go by I I go by Brooks. >> Brooks? Okay. So, Brooks, here's the deal. United Well, we'll shake hands when everything's said. >> No, I I didn't know if you were trying to or not. >> Oh, no. So, United has denied you a flight today. >> Yeah, I didn't. >> Okay. >> I don't care. >> Well, here's the deal. Um, he said you're flying to Maine. What What part of Maine are you flying to? >> I live I live in Oldtown. I live in northern Maine. >> Are y'all Are y'all refunding his ticket? >> He never pay for He never pay. >> Oh, he never he never had a ticket. He was getting ready. >> He start he started off with this young lady back here. Um, he was upset with her because she kept telling he doesn't have a flight for today. So, he gives her her phone, his phone. She pulls up the reservation. Reservation is for the 28th. So, as she's telling him that, he's like, "No, you're going to put me on plane today." So, she calls me and say, "I think I got a red light." So, she comes over and then when I walk over there, then he goes, "I'm not a red light. I'm not intoxicated. Why would you say that?" >> Oh, you know what that was? >> I'm like, "Yeah." I'm like, "How do you know?" I'm like, "How do you know what a red light is?" >> We didn't even know what a red light was. We're like, "What? What?" >> So, that's what it kind of was like, "Okay." [laughter] So, you know what you are then, right? That's what I thought to myself. So, then I said, "Well, how do you know what a red light is?" And he's like, "I don't talk to her. She just needs to go away." I said, Go ahead over there. Ring. I got it. So I started talking to him and then I asked him for she was ask was asking you for the reservation and he kept saying I don't have it. I'm like so you just showed her something on your phone. That's how she knows what day. So he gives me the phone and then I pull up the reservation. So I explained to him like your flight was two days ago and he was like showed up for that flight and got denied. >> He says no value. So that means he didn't show up. [clears throat] When we mark it no value that means he didn't show up. Okay. >> So when I said to him well you know now you're going to have to buy a whole new ticket cuz you're two days late. It's not a flat tire rule anymore. >> With officers now understanding the situation, airline staff walked them through exactly where things began to spiral out of control. >> So then he was like, "Well, my company will have to pay for it. How much is it?" And I said, "I don't know." So I went online to pull it up and then he started going at her again. She's such d. Okay, at this point you disrespected my employees. You can take your phone and you can buy it online. Have a great day. He walked on the side of my counter and started saying, "You going to make me hurt you. Hurt you, huh?" >> I'm like, >> "Oh, no. I ain't dealing with this, bro." >> So, I said, "Sir, I'm going to call the police. I'm asking you to please walk away from my counter at this time. I'm refusing service. Please walk away." He continued to keep going. So, I picked up the phone and I called and then he continued with his little rant. Gotcha. And then he started coming around the counter again and I said, "Sir, I asked you three times to stay on that side. I want you to know that I'm not scared, but I need you to stay on that side." >> And then he was looking and the the guy that was standing next to him was like, "What is going on? What's happening?" And then you guys showed up after he showed up. It was kind of in his face a little bit, too. So, I just going to get out of here and we >> we'll deal with it. After hearing matching accounts from several witnesses, the officers now piece everything together and return to the suspect to lay out the next steps. >> No, making threats of physical violence towards other people is a crime, right? And you can go to jail for that. >> I understand. >> They're not wanting to press charges right now, >> but you've actually committed a crime that you could go to jail for. >> No, no. What I'm saying is, >> you know, you need to listen. >> No, no. Like, I I understand. I'm listening to what you're saying, you know, but the fact I made >> I left everybody alone. You you I don't know their names, >> but they had said not bother. I don't bother anybody. >> All I can tell you is what they told me and I have multiple people telling me the same thing. So right now we're trying to figure things out for you. But at at this point with you being in talk listen just listen. >> You're not going to fly with any airline today the way you are right now. I can guarantee you that. That's based on my experience. >> You've threatened people and you've had too much to drink. My recommendation truly is to try to catch a flight tomorrow. Have no drinks. Come back sober tomorrow and try it all again. and then you're gonna get home. But I guarantee you the way you've acted today, no [clears throat] airline's gonna let your phone. >> That's just the reality. >> What's your name? >> Pat Nelson right here. >> Just so I can address you. >> Okay, I appreciate that. Your [clears throat] your mom is coming to get you. >> Perfect. That's your mom's coming to get you. She's on her way. So, what we're going to do is we're going to take you downstairs. Let's sit in the chair. She's she's going to when she picks you up, she's going to find other flights and have you fly out. She told me about the tragedy about losing your dog. You guys are both but the the important thing right now is just to get you where you're not stumbling around or you know we get you where you can pass the TSA checklist because they're more strenuous on checking people than the ticket counter is here. Okay. So your mom agreed that's the best decision to make. Officers explain what happens next. And while the suspect reluctantly agrees, he takes the moment to vent his frustrations one last time. >> What did y'all talk about? >> Just talked about solutions for you. And the solution we came up with is her coming from Round Rock and come pick you up right now. That's what she's going to do. >> Okay. So, let's go downstairs and bring your stuff downstairs. >> I'll grab her back. >> And once she picks you up, you guys go back to her house and you meet with me. I'm over here. Oh, she picks you up. >> Once she picks you up, you guys are going to find other flights. Okay, we'll get you she'll get you booked another flight >> over there. I thought it was all of you. >> I hate all of you. >> You hate all of us? >> Well, I mean, I love all of y'all, but I hate all of you. >> Well, sorry. Sorry you feel that way, but we're just trying to help you out, man. >> Except for you. >> All right. Well, I appreciate it. Let's make our way downstairs and I'll grab your bag for you and we'll get you taken care of, your mom here, all that good stuff. And you get on a flight a different day. Just not today. And that might be for the best. It sounds like you've gone through a lot, >> right? >> This is his Those are the unattended bags. >> So, if you want to follow Officer Kid, we'll head downstairs. I'll grab your bag for you. Okay. >> Officer Kid right there. >> Just follow him. We'll show you the way. >> You ruin my life. What caused this? >> Sorry. >> What causes? >> Well, if you want to be completely honest, what caused this? Is you drinking? Who who who said I was drinking? >> No one had to tell us you were drinking. I can tell you were drinking. >> Well, this way. >> What What do you mean by that? >> I'm I'm not going to debate your level of intoxication. If you want me to debate it with you, you can debate it in the back of my police car. For now, I'm cutting you a break. >> No, I just I just want to talk. >> I'm not going to You know that you're drunk. I don't have to explain to you. I'm sure they have. You're stumbling around. Your words are slurred. >> Can't think that's not and and I'm not trying to talk down to you. I'm trying to help you. Actually, grab onto the rail so you don't fall. You lose your balance. >> Even after officers try to help resolve the situation. The suspect continues disrespecting them, forcing officers to finally draw the line. >> What I'm asking is what what led you to think what led me to Hey, here are your choices. Here are your choices. Hear me out. >> Do you want to sit in the chair over here or do you want to sit outside? Choices are yours. >> Stop treating me like a mother criminal. >> If you talk to me like that again, I will take your jail. Listen to what I'm telling you. >> Take me in jail. I don't >> Okay, I don't care either. >> Put your hands out your pocket pocket. >> We gave you plenty of chances, dude. I literally waiting for waiting for my >> I know. But we were asking you to listen. Okay. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. >> Now you're going to jail. >> Making you upset. >> Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. >> Making me upset. All I wanted to do was just stand here. >> Listen to me. Listen to me. >> I didn't use sign language to you at all. Did I? >> No. I spoke to your mother. I found a way for you to go home safe. I understand that you lost your dog. Okay? I sympathize with you on that. We're trying to cut you a break. The last thing I need from you is to use foul language towards me when I'm trying to help you out. You listen. Look at me. Look at me. Do you understand what I'm telling you right now? >> Yes, sir. >> Then why would you do that to me? >> That's not personal at all. >> I don't know if it's personal or not. >> I just >> You're responsible for everything you say and do. >> Yes. Yes, sir. >> And I understand. I'm just taking some consequences for it. I just I don't know how to feel. I was supposed to fly out to my house. >> You're taking out on everyone, including the people at the ticket counter. Like I said, you could have gone to jail for just what you said up there. >> I understand. >> You have an idea on you? Where's your idea? >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> If you put me in the jail, I'm going to be pretty mad. >> Think I care about how mad you're going to get? Been doing this job 21 years. Made a lot of people mad. Officers switched to a stricter tone, but instead of calming things down, it only adds fuel to the suspect's emotions. >> Listen, here's here's what I'm going to do with you. I'm going to take you to a sobering center. It's not jail. >> You'll go to the sobering center. Your mom can pick you up from the sobering center. Okay? >> Don't do that to my mom, please. >> Okay? Well, I can take you to jail. She can pick you up from jail. Which one do you want? >> Why not stay? You're not staying here anymore. >> I don't need to stay here. >> Okay. >> Could you ever see an ID with this? >> No. He gave me a name. He told me uh Bryce Lee Smith. >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah. >> No. >> No, you're not. >> Yeah. >> You're coming with us. Let's Let me explain. Let me >> You're ruining my life. >> Let me explain to you where I'm taking you. Let me explain. >> You're ruining my life. >> Let me explain to you what I'm take where I'm taking you. Okay. I'm taking you to what's called a sobering center. It's not jail. >> I don't need that. I don't need that. >> You don't get choices. I don't give you choices. I'm telling you what I'm going to do for you. >> I gave you choice to pick my life. Okay, jail we go. It's going to be jail. >> If you don't get to pick my life, I'm the only one who pays my bills. >> Good. You can pay your bills when you get out of jail. >> No, stop. Don't Don't add a resistant charge. Don't add a resistant charge. >> Please stop. >> What is he saying? Just walk to the front of the car. Walk to the front of the police. That's it. I'm trying to be nothing but nice to you. >> What? What? What? What exactly are you saying? I was going to call your mother at the sobering center, give her the address, and have her pick you up from there. >> That's what I was going to do for you, >> okay? >> Can you just calm down, >> okay? >> That's what I want you to do. It's not jail. >> Your mom's Your mom's going to pick you up at a different location. She's going to drive you to her house. They're going to she's going to schedule you another flight. You come back and fly out. >> No criminal charges. >> No criminal charges. That's what I'm doing for you right now. >> Okay. >> Just Just relax. >> Yeah. >> I got to take stuff out of your pockets because when I put people in the back of my car, I got to make sure they don't have any weapons on. >> Where where am I in? I'll take you to the sobering center. It's not jail. >> The what? >> The sobering center. >> Okay. >> Okay, that's it. When we get there, I'll call your mom, tell her the address, she'll pick you up from there. >> Is that okay? >> But you have to cooperate with them. If you act the way that you're acting with us, they will not take you there. >> Yeah. Just I'm just confused because >> in a last attempt to keep things from escalating further, officers offer him one final chance. Now the decision rests with him >> because I I drinking, man. It's >> No, it's not that I've been drinking. It's just I I'm confused on where where where am I going? >> Okay. I was going to leave you here. But this I was going to leave you here. You cursed at me. I didn't like that. So I said, "Okay, I'm not going to leave you here. If you're cursing at me, you can curse at anybody else in here. I'm going to take you someplace else off site. Now, depending on how you act, when I'm transporting you to that place, if you start cursing at me again or acting bizarre in the backseat of my car, I'm going to take you to jail. And there they're going to keep you for anywhere between 8 to 12 hours. Sobering center, they'll keep you till your mom comes to pick you up. That's it. All right. >> We're just going to make sure that >> we're checking the handcuffs right now to make sure that they're they're fitted properly. Okay. >> You did lock. >> All right. They're locked. They're not going to get any tighter on you. Okay. >> What do you think I'm a criminal? Like an animal? No, that is what we do with everybody, man. >> So, okay. >> Best way is to kind of face us and sit down. That's the easiest way. Okay. Just face me. Kind of turn towards me. This way. The other way. This way. >> And then kind of just sit down and we'll make sure you you don't fall. Okay. >> Take these handcuffs off of me. >> We can't >> swing your feet in. You can >> you'll get him off when you get to the sobering center. >> You're not a criminal. >> Why are you saying that? >> That's why we want to take you to the sobering center. >> You're a medical professional taking care of you. >> That's it. It's not fair. >> Okay. Then why do I need to be like this? >> Cuz everybody goes in the backseat of a patrol car like that. Okay. That's our policies. We have to do this. >> Officers offer him more than enough chances to leave without further trouble. But he still makes the wrong call. Why are you doing this? >> Why? Watch your back. >> No. Please loosen me. >> No, they get loosened this side. >> They're cutting into my >> They're not cutting into your wrist. >> Guess the I'm not I'm not take I'm not loosening them. Let's go. >> What? Stop. I My >> Let's go. >> You're going to have my Give me back. >> No, you don't get your backpack. It gets turned into property. >> Property >> as property. that way. No, >> you're used to making demands. You can't make demands anymore. You're not in charge. >> Why? Why? Why? Why am I being so treated like >> treated like property? This is your property. It gets turned in. >> No, it doesn't. >> Okay. >> In the end, the suspect was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Number one, airport officers weren't ready for this Karen's meltdown. On January 31st, 2024, officers responded to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport after reports of a fight involving multiple passengers. Here's what happened when officers arrived. >> And she just attacked the lady in line. >> Who did this lady to your left? >> Hey, ma'am. Come with me. >> Come with me. Give me your hands. Stop resisting. >> Hey, uh, find out who it was. >> Come on over. >> She just came in the line and knocked her over. >> Stop it. >> We're just going TO STEP OUT. FIRST OF ALL, YOU NEED A MEDICAL ATTENTION. >> NO, I'M OKAY. >> SORRY. Are you all right? >> Mhm. >> So, what happened? >> She was just walking around pointing at me. >> I know. That's what I'm trying to >> Yeah. Just standing in line, minding my business. She keeps walking around pointing at me and saying you and comes up and just shoves me and smacks me. >> All right. Um, I'm going to ask you a very stupid question. I'm required by law to ask you this. Did you consent to her pushing? >> No. >> Okay. It's a legal question that I'm required to ask. And you said that you do not need any medical attention? >> No. >> Did the shove cause anything? >> I was facing this way. Keep it from behind. >> She shoved. And did she hit you or just >> straight on push me? Yeah. Smack me. >> Where did she smack you? >> Just just in the arm. >> Yeah. I was looking at >> uh was it open hand? >> Do you have your ID on you? >> Yeah. >> The victim tells officers she was minding her own business when the suspect suddenly attacked her. And when officers ask the suspect why, her answer leaves everyone stunned. All right. All right. We're not going to do that. >> We We got squad coming up right now. Stand up. H. Someone want to pat her down real quick. Make sure you do it right. >> So, what happened? >> Activist. >> You're an activist. That gives you a right to punch someone. >> Can you uh spread your feet for me? >> I can't hear you. >> Spread your feet. All right. You're going to have a seat in the squad, man. Step in. It's funny. >> She tells officers she targeted the victim because she's an activist, but witness statements soon reveal her behavior went far beyond that. >> Anyone want to be a willing complaintant and witness? >> Yeah, it just helps having extra witness statements of what happened. Can we do it from here? >> I'll tell you lastly what happened. Come here. >> My name's Robert. >> I'm not coming back. So >> ID at all. It's easier to copy down cuz otherwise I'll stand here for 20 minutes saying what was it? What was that? >> Stupid. Oh my. >> This is why I have this. >> Where did she come from though? >> Yeah. I thought she was trying to start. Hey, you. Hey, you. Turn around. Turn around. >> I thought she was just >> What I saw, officer, was this young lady in the in the blue sweatshirt. >> All right. >> Had like she was calling to someone like she knew them, trying to get their attention. So, we thought she was going to go there. I thought she was going to go get in line with them. >> Okay. >> No big deal. Came right through there. went under the the whatever the stupid thing called >> one of the Sansson. >> No, she passed right here. >> Okay. >> And and I thought she was walking talk to them cuz she was trying to get their attention what it sound like to me. I'm standing here. Next thing I know, she attacked them. >> She pointing a finger at her. She was like, "Turn around finger." And so >> she was trying to get someone that thought someone she knew's attention. And then she goes, "Hey, stupid." >> Yeah. Where'd that come from? I was going >> and then >> went right over kind of tripped on that >> tried to suitcase and all got crazy >> bag or something. >> All right. >> And then and then and then she separated and got them apart. She came over. I worked I worked at the Department of Defense and security d and wonder up front and acting really crazy. >> All right. Well, thank you very much. With everything pieced together, officers speak with the victim one last time to clarify details and explain how the case will proceed. >> All right, Summer. Do you think there's anything uh happened that I didn't ask you about? >> That was it. >> Just going to run you through it just one last time. I promise. >> Sure. >> All right. So, you're standing in line, minding your own business. >> She just starts pointing at you >> and then where were you in line? >> I was like right there. right where you are. >> So, she went past everybody that else was in line. Oh, >> okay. >> And then >> I mean, we're going to see on on the footage because there's camera there. >> But she like walked away for a while. She like walked around. >> I don't know why. >> I I can't answer that question. Sometimes some sometimes people just Unfortunately, I wish I had answers. I wish there was a better system than this, but unfortunately, this is what we have right now. So, she you're standing right there. She comes up, shoves you from behind, and just says, "You and then she like she just walked away or >> Yeah. Well, they kind of like got her like off of me and then she >> I think she walked that way, I think, and sit over there for a little bit until you guys >> and then kept like saying something and I didn't really hear what she said. And then you guys came in shortly after. >> Oh, do you have any questions for that? >> I don't think so. >> Uh, normally if I had my squad, I would have like a form for you. It's called a uh Wisconsin victim's uh rights. >> Sure. >> You uh this goes to court. You get something that's known as a victim witness advocate. Someone you can talk to help explain the whole process. Um what's going to happen probably is that you're going to get a phone call next couple days from uh a district attorney's office. He'll talk to you, ask you some questions. Then you don't really have to do anything or show up until way down. >> Sure. >> With all the pieces in place, the officers escort the suspect to the cruiser outside. Surprisingly, she shows no reaction to the consequences ahead. There's going to be like a time like you're going to forget that it's kind of happened. Well, probably won't, but like it'll be it'll be it'll be so long that you're going to be like, "Oh, that that unfortunately that's how slow everything is." >> That's fine. >> So, like like I said, they'll they'll contact you and then the victim victim advocate will be the kind of your go between they'll be able to answer any questions, explain the victim rights fund if you like penal damages or any injuries as a result of this. Thank you. >> She's got a um ankle um brace uh ankle. Oh my god. >> I cannot think of Do you want to talk right now or do you know what they're doing? [sighs and gasps] >> I know you're not deciding. >> You have the >> I need to sit down. >> You have the ankle bracelet. What other jewelry do you have, ma'am? >> I think she has some rings. >> Two rings. >> You can sit down on the bench if you want to stop talking if you need to sit. >> That's it. That's my jewelry. Oh, yeah. >> Yeah, we'll take that little puppy there. >> But we're putting it with all your property. I got it. You can put it on top of that thing. This is worth 5,000. >> Well, let's keep them puppies on for now. >> And hey, when I ask you these questions from Costa Rica that has to stay on Oh, you know what? I'm wearing like I don't know $7,000 worth of jewelry. >> I got to ask you three questions. >> Have you had any or alcohol in the last 24 hours? No sir. >> Do you have or thoughts of hurting yourself? >> No sir. >> Sick or injured or in any way? >> Are you sick or injured in any way? >> No, sir. >> Okay, you can just chill out here. I'll be right with you. Okay. >> She was charged with disorderly conduct and assault. Do you think these people learned their lesson?
