These suspects might have slipped past the registers, but now they're face to face with the police, and acting innocent won't cut it. Here are five cases when cops catch shoplifters acting dumb and innocent outside Walmart and other stores. Number five, bold woman tries stealing in front of the manager and learns why that's a bad idea. On July 18th, 2025, officers in Illinois were dispatched to a gas station after staff reported a woman attempting to shoplift right in front of them. When the authorities arrived, the suspect was still there, sitting just outside the store. Here's how the encounter unfolded. >> I never did. I was allowed. >> What's that? Is your name Jas? Is your name Jasmine? >> Yeah. >> All right. Don't go nowhere. Hello. >> What's going on out here? >> Bro, that girl, >> yeah, >> she's outside. >> She's come inside and she stole the things. >> She's stealing things today. >> Yeah. And she also misbehaved with my body and she getting message. >> Okay. >> Uh, has she been here? Banned been banned here? >> She Yeah, she's banned from here. >> She is banned from here. >> Yes. >> Okay. All right. I'll be back in here to talk to you. Okay. >> Hi, Jasmine. >> What's going on today? Huh? What's going on? >> Nothing. >> Are you Are you supposed to be here? >> Have you been banned from here? >> No, >> you haven't. >> No. >> Okay. >> I'm just going to grab your information real quick. Okay. >> Okay. >> What's your first name? How you spell Jasmine? >> J A Z M A I N. >> Z M A I N. >> You're not allowed headphones. Why come? How come? >> Cuz this is a tracker for the world. >> Okay. So, I'm going to cover you. Okay. All right. Well, just hang tight for me. Okay. >> Okay. >> Hey, we're going to 13 her. >> She's banned from here. She does have she does have warrants out of uh Cleveland for jaywalk for j Yeah, for jaywalking, but she's banned from here. So, we're going to 13 and we'll figure out if they're going to if they want to sign charges or not. >> In addition to the current complaint, officers learned that the woman had already been banned from the store. This incident only adds to her growing list of run-ins with the location. And based on her attitude, she's still not interested in cooperating. >> Hi, Jasmine. >> What's that? >> I don't know how to. >> I said, "Okay." >> Can you do me a favor? >> Can you stand up for me? Can you stand up for me? By the time you're going to be under arrest, okay? >> Why? >> Cuz you are banned from here. >> No, I'm not. >> In our system, you are banned from here. I'm not. >> Yes, you are. >> Stand up. >> Yes. >> No. >> We don't want to make this any harder than what it has to be. Okay. Mhm. >> So, you stand up and we're going to put you in cuffs. >> Tom B. >> Okay. >> Tom B. >> Because they they adise you. I want to make sure that they want to sign the charge before we do this. >> Okay. >> You're not supposed to be here. >> Why not? >> Because they told you you're not allowed. >> Said you're not allowed. >> They're in here. >> Not allowed. >> Not allowed. And we banned you. >> Uh do you guys do you guys want her banned from here? I mean, do you guys want charges against her for trespassing? >> We already did. >> So, yes, you can ban her, right? So, but if we come back here and she's here again, you have to be willing to sign the charges. Obviously, you guys work here, so we can sign charges on your behalf, but you you guys would want charges to be signed. Does that does that make sense? >> Okay. >> Do you guys want charges sign for >> just want to go? >> No, perfectly. That's fine. >> I told all y'all to turn against each other just to each other hearts. Why? And I got the best you ever had. I've been happy. I never lost it. You know who lost it? You know who left it? Murder. Then I found out the truth. She the one ate my number. >> With the suspect still on site, officers speak to the store owner to confirm whether he's prepared to pursue charges and complete the required forms. >> Hello. >> Yes, sir. >> How you doing? >> Good, sir. How are you? >> Good. How? So, we have uh this Jasmine here. Uh look like she's been banned from this location. uh in the past. >> Yeah, we went her to the court. We went to like last got her arrested. She was in the jail. I don't know when she got it out. So, she came back start grab a stop and run away and then she was arguing with them. >> Okay. So, >> can you remove her from the property? >> Yes. So, so we can we will arrest her. Are you guys do you guys want her arrested? You guys willing to sign charges? >> Yeah, I'll sign it. Uh, I do have to come to the store because last time we went to the downtown to the fort. >> Yes. Uh, are you close to the store now? >> Yeah, I can come. I'm 15 minutes away. >> Okay, that's perfectly fine. >> Okay, I'll come. Do you want me to come to the store? >> Uh, yes, please. >> Okay, I'll do that. >> All right, thank you. >> After hearing from the store owner that the woman has a pattern of loitering and starting issues, officers make the call. With charges on the table, they approach the suspect. All right. >> Hi. >> So, listen up. So, this is sounds like an ongoing issue. Yeah. What is >> this? Now, you've been you've been here multiple times. Yes. And you've been arrested for being here. Yeah. >> No, I haven't. >> You haven't? >> No. >> Okay. >> I never been arrested for >> you. You've never been arrested before? >> No. >> Okay. >> All right. So, just so you know, they want charges signed. So, you are under arrest. Do you understand? >> I'm an arrest. >> Because you are not supposed to be here. I didn't. >> So, like I said, >> I'm not trespassing. >> Yes, you are. I'm not. Yes, you are. You can either stand up and put your hands behind your back or you're going to be forced to put your hands behind your back. Do you understand? No. >> You don't understand. Okay. >> So, go ahead and stand up. >> All right. We need two uh 32s for one male and one female. Both are >> messing the cuff up cuz you keep moving. >> All right, we'll get it situated inside. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> I'm going to take this lighter from your hand. All right. >> What's that? No, we're not ready yet. >> All right, hold on. I'm going adjust this other cuff for you so it's not super uncomfortable. >> Okay, and I'll uh and be splitting nor >> Where do you stay at, Jasmine? >> Where do you stay at? >> Nowhere. >> You don't stay anywhere? >> No. >> Where do you normally be hanging around at? >> Here. >> You hang around here? >> Yeah. >> Even though you're not supposed to be. >> Why? >> Because you're banned. >> Probably. >> All right, let's go over here to this cruiser. You want and yours or mine? >> You can put on. >> All right. >> I gave everybody my pipe. >> All right. I'm go ahead and stand here. I'm going to make sure. Do you have anything on you that we should know about? Any knives, needles, firearms? No. >> Anything like that? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> They just my potty train though. >> You're potty train. >> I'm not ready yet. >> I'm not ready yet. >> Is there anything you should we should know about? Anything inside your hair bonnet? No. >> I'm going to take this off. All right. The woman is compliant and quietly escorted to the cruiser. But despite the smooth arrest, officers still have additional documentation to complete before the case is closed. >> All right, go ahead and take a seat in there. >> There's possibly going to be more charges, too. We had to see if she stole the stuff out of there. Oh, >> so the owner of the store uh he's coming down here to >> um to well review the footage. >> Uh obviously to see if they want charge sign you have uh so you said she stole stuff today out of here. >> Did she take stuff from what? >> She stole these package from here. >> Was it like gummy worms? >> Yeah, they're all over the floor. Okay. Do you guys have like video footage of that? >> My boss is going. >> Okay. So he can take care of that. Okay. I imagine he's going to want charges for that. >> How far do you think he is? >> Uh, so when I call when I talked 3:30, >> probably when I talked to him, he was 15 minutes. >> Okay. So he's fairly close. >> Yeah, he was already 3:30 maybe. >> Yeah, that's fine. Okay. >> Yeah, she's doing this. >> Yeah, that's fine. Um, I want to grab your information. Okay. >> Yeah, sure. >> Like was there any like threats any threats or anything made? >> No, no. She she using us to like we always call the police and so she told us this we don't call the police you if you call the police they can't do anything like this. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Well um and then I'll get your boss's information when he gets here. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So right now it sounds like probably um pretty much house pass and then theft. How much? How much? Uh how much it was just these she took? >> Yeah. like $4 something like 453 >> 453. >> The woman is accused of stealing more than just cash. Merchandise was also involved and both witnesses and security footage backed up the store's claims, leaving little room for doubt. >> So, one of your boss came here. I'll get the video footage of her actually taking this and all that kind of stuff. Um, and then being banned is anything else. Did she take anything else? You know, >> she just like at the morning she also come. But at the time, I just told her, "Bro, get get from here." because she's not she's banned from here. So she's both simply out. But uh the evening right now when she come she just take there and she ask us so whatever you do going to do we you call the police and you whatever you have to do. >> Yeah. >> They can't do anything to me and all the things. >> Okay. >> Yep. So I'll just wait for your boss here. Okay. >> All right. Perfect. Thank you. Hey bro, if you want anything to drink, you can take. >> Oh, no. I'm good. Thank you. I appreciate that. All right. You got uh >> Yeah. >> Well, no. Is that the owners? The guy that's going to sign? >> Uh no, not here. >> Okay. I didn't know if he had his info or anything like that. That's That's all good. >> So, this is going to be him. This is going to be the employee who witnessed >> witnessed it and then Okay. >> Yeah. Uh I'll add her real quick. >> It's going to be theft, too. She stole that. She did steal that. >> Okay, so just do it as trespassing and theft on for the charges. >> The gummy worms are $453. >> Oh, you know what? >> Right here. >> You wasn't You was You accident. >> Okay. There's the >> In the meantime, while waiting for the store owner, the officers go over the evidence and discuss which charges to proceed with. >> Does it end up being just a higher misdemeanor or does it end up being a felony if she's come back here multiple times like and she's been already like banned? >> Cuz I'm pretty sure it get doesn't it get upped if it uh >> if it's like the same thing like you know what I mean? >> I don't know if it goes to a higher misdemeanor or if it goes to a felony. So >> if I mean I mean >> well we don't know how many times I guess she's been arrested for it. So never mind. I'll just put it as a >> now theft. It could be if she criminally came on the property to I mean you we don't know cuz she just came here then I can't really prove that she had intention to come. >> No. Fair enough. >> It's out of it's out of Cleveland. Oh, hold on a Cleveland Heights. I don't think that's going to be >> Oh, is that what it's for? I didn't even look. I just said walking across the street. >> Jaywalking. I'm freaking dead, bro. >> Oh, that's too funny. >> She should be cool. She just talks to herself. So, >> all right. You want to step out, dear? >> What? >> You can step out. >> You got to go in the wagon. They're taking you. >> Where are they taking me to? They're >> taking you to jail. >> Why? >> I need to be aware for criminal trespassing. I I didn't do criminal trespassing or stuff at all. >> Hi dear. How's it going? >> From my nursery home. >> I'm behind. >> You got anything illegal on you they might have missed? Go nothing. Cuz if it goes into the county, it's an extra felony charge. Okay. I don't want to see that happen to you. So nothing illegal. >> I'mma beat it anyways. >> All right. Anyway, >> I'mma beat it anyways. I'm supposed to beat it. Okay. So, I'm going to put the second pair of cuffs on first and then we'll get that first pair off. All right. >> By now, even the officers are questioning whether the woman is dealing with a mental health issue or simply putting on an act. Either way, they continue preparing her for transport. >> Supposed to be in cop. >> Why was that? >> Cuz I was >> I was punished from that guy. >> Why? Cuz I did the red nose pit to his bed. >> This suck. I turned to Virgin Mary. >> It's life shot. >> Mhm. >> And life shot is Dot. >> Okay. >> Her baby dead cuz she never had >> baby. >> Miss Ber. >> Okay. >> She never had a baby. She gave her baby to me cuz I kept on hearing I wanted. Well, she had to have the baby to give it to you. >> I never died. I never died. I just turned into nature. Why? Why? Cuz nature got jealous. >> Mhm. >> Cuz the only reason why I heard of wonders maybe cuz it was my song. Got a ballerina too. >> All right. Separate your feet for me. >> There's a good sign now. Hold on. That damn separate feet for me. >> Thank you. I get it's a good one, but you got to give me a second. I'm not talking. >> You're not what? >> I'm not. >> I can't hear what you're saying. >> All right, dude. Take a step on here. Watch right there. Watch your head. >> I got you. I got you. >> One. Go ahead. Henry 869 Chevy Silverado. All cars be advised taking one out of county starting as district time now 1705. >> Go ahead. >> For the notes, this female is banging her head against the inside of the wagon. >> Jasmine, what you doing back there? >> Yeah. Can you change the location to hurt yourself? Savage. >> On the way to booking, the woman continues to ramble and her behavior declines further with every passing minute. >> Jasmine, you got to chill out, girl. >> No. >> 17. >> For what? >> Cuz you're going to hurt yourself. >> No, I'm not. I'm not going to hurt myself at all. >> All right, step on down for me. >> Why? Cuz she cannot pick my up. All right, we're going right through this door. >> Both people, you got the bouquet park. >> All right, walk up to that window for me. Face down. >> J, chill out. Stop. >> Shut your mouth. >> No. >> Yes. >> No. >> Yes. >> Cuz what >> you said? >> What's going on? >> Where are we going? >> What's open? >> All right, let's go. >> She came cuz she did. >> Okay, I I'll talk. >> Yeah, I think there's a bonnet in there and then the jacket. That's it. The woman was ultimately charged with trespassing and theft. Number four, committing a crime in front of law enforcement leads exactly where you'd expect. Next up, we head to Flaggler County, Florida, where officers were sent to Walgreens for a report of a woman concealing merchandise. The suspect is still browsing when the authorities arrive. And what she does while being watched catches everyone offg guard. >> No, I didn't. I was putting this up. >> What did you throw over there? He was >> Can you check for me? >> Do you guys have camera footage at all? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. All right. Where you going? Okay. Hey. Hey. Come over here. All right. Stop. Come over here. Come over here. No. No. No. No. Come over here. Please. Please let me go. I'm not going to. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. I'm I'm Wait. >> Okay, hold on. Please. I'm telling on teams right now. Please please please give me I'll I'll give you 1129 to Echo 226. >> Can you come up in front of Walgreens 5,000? >> I will I will give you everything. >> Come. We're not doing this. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I will give you everything that I have. >> Okay. I promise. >> I'm telling you. I will I will give you everything that I have. >> I just started shoplifting in front of me. Tell them. Wait. Wait. >> Okay. Drop that. >> Wait. Grab your hand. Stay back. Step back. >> I'm telling I'm going to give you >> Okay. >> Put your hands behind your back. I'm not kidding right now. Put your hands behind your back. >> Put your hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. >> You're resisting. You want to catch another charge? >> Right now, you're being detained. I'm telling you right now, if you keep if you keep resisting, you're getting another charge. >> Sir, you're going to go back there and stop. Walk away from us. But I didn't mean to seriously I literally just saw you right in front of me, girl. >> I got scared. >> I know you did. God knows. >> Sorry. I'm not trying to trouble. >> No. >> No. Come on. >> Here. Sorry. Here. >> Put your hands like you're praying. >> Okay. >> Like you're praying. >> Jesus. I'm I'm so sorry. >> You're lucky I didn't tase you. >> No. I I just got really scared. I'm sorry. >> You're good. >> I didn't mean to do that. and and you start walking away from me. I tell you to stop walking. >> I'm so sorry. I got really scared and then I >> After securing the items, the officers continue their search. Once that's done, they want straight answers from the suspect. >> Do you have any weapons on you? >> No. Oh, I have a knife in my in my pocket. >> Do you have any on me? >> No. No, man. >> No, I have nothing like that. >> What did you take from Hold on. >> It's I'm going to read you your right. Is this makeup? >> Yes, I have makeup in in my in my pocket. I'm I'm so sorry. I really need really like to do anything. But >> any that's going to poke me, right? >> Over there. Appreciate it. >> Yeah. Grab your bike. >> Yeah. >> How are you? >> No, you're good. >> I'm so sorry. >> I'm going to read you your rights really fast. Right. >> Oh my gosh. Please. >> Doesn't mean you're arrested right now. You're just detained because you're not free to leave. Okay. >> Okay. >> I mean, but you also when a deputy is telling you stop walking, you don't walk away. Okay. >> I'm so sorry. I'm so >> With that being said, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say maybe uses evidence against you, you have the right to talk to an attorney and have him or her with you. Now, at any time during question, if you can't afford an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you. If at any time you wish to stop talking or have any attorney present, all question will be stopped your request. You understand these rights with these rights in mind? >> Yes. >> All right. I'm clearly walking out. I see you grab something and you toss it and I say, "What are you doing? Are you really shoplifting in front of me?" I know. >> And then you say, "I need to put something down." And then you continue to disobey lawful orders when I tell you to stop. that luckily if my partner wasn't right here, we probably would have been on the ground or I would have tased you. >> No. >> What did you shop with? >> I have I have makeup in my pocket. >> Did you pee yourself? >> Urinated on yourself? >> You have no Are you Are you on probation? >> No. >> Have you ever been arrested before? >> Like when I was like like 17 or 18. >> Okay. So, these are the only things. >> Is that makeup item as well? The same BB something. >> Out of panic, the woman makes a mess of herself. The officers are sympathetic, but they also recognize that this is a consequence of her own behavior >> in my pockets. That's what I have on me. And it's because I did. >> What are you reaching for? >> I'm sorry. I'm trying to get up that I have this is okay >> because like I literally moved here and start over. >> I know my whole life. And I'm so sorry that I I did that and I'm like really >> I got really scared. >> You got really scared? >> I'm so sorry. >> So this and this and this and this. >> I'm so sorry. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. No, no, no. Whatever is is on me. >> That's it. Okay. Where's your driver's license? I I don't have it. >> You don't have a license? >> No. I do have a license. >> She has a a debit card over here. >> Yeah, >> I do have a >> I'm good. I appreciate it. >> So, we got the whole crew here. >> Yeah. something. >> No. So, I was leaving the bathroom and I started putting stuff in like wingspan and then just tossing it over and then I was like, "Are you really shopping in front of me?" And I sort of stopped walking and she starts walking. She was waiting for me in the car. So, that's why I got on the road of her to come out because I'm trying to grab her and she's actively pulling, bracing, pushing. She pee, urinated on herself, so she was very scared. I haven't spoken with um Walgreens at all yet. Kind of all happy. didn't want to press any charges about it. >> Okay. >> And that's where I'm at right now. >> Okay. >> All right. >> What's What else is down here? >> You have more stuff down here. I'm just getting more makeup items that are >> there's more stuff without you. >> Ma'am, what's your first name? >> It's Mia. Mia. >> M I A. Yeah, it's on my debit card. >> Mia. >> While the suspect is being questioned outside, a second officer steps into the store to confirm whether management is willing to press charges. >> How you doing? Are you willing to pursue charges on the makeups that that lady stole? Are you aware of anything that happened? Uh, I know the cashier told me that they caught somebody stealing like in the act. >> I guess she still has some makeup stuff. They should pull one out of her pockets now. So, I was just It's up to you all if you wanted to pursue. It's up to you. >> Uh, >> if not, we can trespass her. It's totally >> Do you know how much it is? >> No, I mean, we'll gather it and show you and then make your decision then. Is that what you want? >> Yeah, cuz I know usually if it's like over a hundred bucks, they'll cross charges. If it's below that, I think they just trespass them. >> Okay. Yeah, no problem. I'll talk to you in a minute. >> It sound like Oh, is that all? >> He wants to see all the stuff first. If it's under a hundred bucks, we'll just trespass. If it's over, then I guess she's going to jail. So, >> I'll bring it inside. >> So, these are all the items that I found on her person. >> I don't know what they will total or the mail. If it's totaled over a hundred, they want to >> charge her. If not, the male that's in that red tank top kept coming around the corner. I told him to stay away just in case if he's over there. >> Yeah, there's a couple that are definitely over like 15 bucks in there. So, >> yeah, it's close enough to where I'd probably do it. >> If you want to press I mean that's fine. We can >> if you guys can that helps us cuz we got to take her for resisting anyways. Okay. >> And so when they see it without a normal charge, >> right? then it kind of loses its they're like okay well she was fighting you but we're like well she was leaving with the stuff so the did what she should do. So >> is there any way you can do an itemized receipt of these? >> Yeah, I can do that over one register. >> Okay. >> With a total value of stolen merchandise exceeding $100, store management decides not to let it slide. With charges now on the table, the officers prepare the suspect for transport. >> I'm going to jail. Yeah. >> Oh, I thought they were going to >> They already did. >> Oh, and they said, >> "Yep, they're going to press charges. We're going to go to jail. We're going to see what they want to do with your car and then we'll go from there. I'll let you know before you leave. I'll actually ask you." >> So, can I write down a phone number out of the that phone? >> We'll go all that once we get you in the car and secure it. Okay. >> Okay. >> It's good to go to the back. Can I just grab my two quarters? >> We grab our two quarters real quick that way. >> Oh, I guess you don't have really, right? >> Yeah. Come on. >> Oh, where are we going? >> You going on the right or the left? >> You have to go butt in first. Okay. Just watch your head. >> You good? >> Huh? >> Hi. How are you, sir? I'm good. My name is Deputy Li from the sheriff's office. Obviously, I actively watched her shoplifting. >> Um, I know you guys did state you wanted to press charges. >> Okay. Are you What is your title here? >> Shift lead. >> Shift lead. Okay. >> Oh, I got the other information. >> You got the other one. Okay. >> Dear, >> where's she at? I just need somebody that'd be willing. >> Awesome. >> Right behind you. >> Right behind you. Okay. Got that. Perfect. Do you guys have access to like the cameras? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. What happened? >> I can take one of you back to the office. >> Perfect. Thank you. I saw her right here doing it all and then throwing stuff in here >> and this is when I stopped and I was walking up. >> Oh god. >> Cuz she was like right that and I was like, "Are you what are you doing?" And then she kept walking fast. >> In the end, the woman was trespassed from the property and charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest. Number three, duo's attempt to hide their theft falls apart fast. On September 15th, 2025, officers responded to a store after employees reported two women had just stolen merchandise. By the time authorities arrived, the suspects had already left. But with strong witness info and a vehicle description, the suspects didn't get far. This is the moment they were pulled over. >> What's up with all this stuff with tags on >> Who said who this stuff? Don't you supposed to have tags on your clothes? >> No, you're not. Actually, you're supposed to buy it, right? >> Baby, you're supposed to have tags on it. The tags don't come off. You know what I mean? >> No, I don't receipt. >> You know, they can scan these and tell they were purchasing them, right? This time she bought her stuff. Did my name come back? >> All right. Give me the phone. You're done with the phone. >> Let go of the phone. >> Let go of the phone. Don't make >> it, right? >> I didn't do nothing. Stop grabbing my phone. >> Right now you're being detained. All right. >> What do you mean? >> Right now you're being detained. >> I didn't do anything. >> All right. Okay. Okay. >> Then you'll be released if you didn't do anything. But right now, we're investigating retail. They're on just come off as easy as they go on. >> All you got to do is call. I ain't did nothing. >> Both women go into cuffs without a fight, but the cooperation ends there. They refuse to give their real names, making it harder for officers to run a proper background check. >> The other thing you're going to get hit with is obstruction if you don't tell us your actual name. >> I'm telling you who exists. >> I'm in the system. So have fun with >> because you're not giving the right name. >> I am the >> So now you have a middle name. I heard you tell her twice you don't have a middle name. >> Actually, more than twice. >> More than twice. That's called lying and obstructing. You understand the middleman? >> Why should I believe that? >> When you decide to tell the truth >> when you That's fine. We're going to fingerprint you and we'll get your info off of that. If you're already charging if I'm tell my name. You told her three times you don't ever. >> Okay. But it can't be pulled up when you lie and you don't provide all anything. I gave you the name of my D. >> Look at my eyeballs. You said I don't have a middle name. >> Now you're lying again right here looking at us. >> Um Let's step a little bit over here that way. Thank you. Nice >> and actually did yesterday. >> Mhm. If anything, y'all do go back cuz y'all got to go back to the store, right? >> You have to go back to You have to go back to the stuff. >> That's not up to me. >> No, I'm saying cuz they going to tell you what happened. I want it. >> Okay. You want to talk to him? >> Yeah. >> How about How about we go this way? Okay. >> Yeah. I'm going talk to her real quick. >> Hoping a little space might get one of them to open up. The female officer decides to question one of the suspects away from her cousin. >> Okay. Just cuz you're in uh you're in custom I'm going to you have the right to understand anything say can be used against law where I talk to a lawyer have been present with you while you're doing question you cannot afford to hire a lawyer won't be able to represent you before any question if you wish you can decide any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements do you understand these rights having these rights on do you want to talk to me is that yes or no that's fine >> okay so what what exactly happened >> don't We was in the store. >> Okay. >> There's three of us. >> Okay. >> And them two of the one that got the stuff. >> Who's the other person? >> She in the store. >> She in the store. What is she look like? She got orange. >> Orange hair. What is What else is she wearing? >> She's got on a blue gap jogging suit. >> Blue what? >> Gap. Let's say blue gap. G A P. >> Yep. >> Is it like dark blue or is it like >> Okay. What about like Sure. What is she wearing? >> No, she got a whole jogging suit on. >> Oh, a whole I'm sorry. Whole jogging shoes. Put a gap. Okay. Gotcha. And so what what was your role in this then? I guess because how did you get involved in this? >> I guess when I'm driving and I was still with them. >> Okay. But did you ever touch anything or did you ever take anything? >> I gave it to them. >> You gave it to them? Okay. Did you walk out with anything? No. Who walked out with stuff? Like the one right there and the others? Oh no. Out with Okay. All right. Well, thanks for being Is that your kid? Them both of them. Both of them. Everyone knows there's another one. Oh, wow. There's another one. Okay, I'll let the other officer know in a bit. Um, do you know your friend's name? >> Which one? >> The one that's lying to me. >> My name. >> De Asia. Okay. Do you know her last name? >> Okay. Do she middle? I don't know. Maybe. I have no idea. Okay. Do you know her birthday? >> I think. >> Okay. Gotcha. All right. Give me a second. What just can Can you give me a second? The plan works. Almost immediately, the suspect starts talking, admitting that there were actually three people involved in the theft. And she's also quick to shift the blame. >> Yes. So, she said like, "Hey, I'm just going to be honest with you." So, I'm just driving. I did give them some merchandise, but they're they're the ones that took the stuff. Um, it's her along with the other boys. She's like here. Yeah, she's she's wearing like a a blue. >> Okay. 95. >> Yeah, they're all >> 95. All right. >> Oh, yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Where's the warrant on? >> I don't have anymore. The warrant I had, baby. I did. >> Where at? >> Illinois. >> Yeah. Facebook. >> Yeah. What was that? >> Say >> I did say. >> Cover your feet for me. >> Thank you. tell you to get out of the car. >> Adding to the weight of the situation, one of the suspects has a child waiting in the car, watching the entire encounter unfold. >> You can't you got to stay there. >> Go to local for me. You can't get out, baby. >> Got to wait a little bit. >> You got to wait. Okay. >> You got to wait. Okay. Just sit right there. Don't cry. It's okay. Don't cry. It's okay. Why you crying? It's okay. >> Don't cry. >> Because you can't lie about who you are when you're being by. >> And you read it. >> People stand by. >> Yes. >> Have you ever lived in Tennessee? No, >> no, >> only Chicago. I know, but we get a lot of people from all over negative out of Tennessee. >> Just got out of town. >> That's the middle name. >> There's a M then >> middle. >> No. No. >> Well, I think >> huh. >> No. >> Very nice of her. >> I know. I'm so mad. >> I don't know. I was I thought I was being so kind, I guess. All right. So, I just got to search to make sure you don't have any weapons on you. You could keep talking to your kid. I just, you know, just for our safety. The officer prepares for transport with both suspects now in custody. What comes next depends on how the charges are sorted out at the station. in their car seats. He's going to drive your car to our station so we don't have to take them out of their car seats. But once we get to our station, your car is going to get towed cuz it was used in commission of a retail theft. We'll get both car seats out for you. We'll have both kids with us. They're not going to leave our side. You have to make smarter decisions, right? I mean, think about it. Do you think I showed up like we all just showed up on your stop just cuz she wasn't in the car seat? >> I know. Is this one of y'all's phones? >> That's my baby play phone. >> Did y'all see the other girl? >> Yeah. >> Just take it all the way off. >> Oh, you can't. >> Yeah. That's why I was like, >> I got a question. Yeah. Go ahead. >> How much do it cost to get my car? Uh, >> okay. Can you hold up like this? >> How much do it cost to get a cab tow? >> The tow is a $500 administrative fee at the station and then checking how much that is. >> Okay. The most important part is like make sure you get it out as soon as possible cuz Oh, sorry. Cuz I don't like that at the end of the day. So, I'm just going to check this. Can you scooch a little bit more? Sorry. I I literally cannot get into you. Can you separate your people? >> Are you stolen? >> Are these stolen? >> Yeah. Okay, we'll we'll take them off. And uh >> What about these ones? >> No, they have my right. >> Okay, so just these ones are stolen. >> Okay. >> With everything documented and both suspects in custody, the officers wrap up the scene and prepare for transport. We're going to need those. >> Yeah, she said the green ones are alos. >> Okay. >> Okay. Thank you. >> One second. >> I don't know. Well, can we can we can I go now? >> Yes. >> Take her back out. >> Okay. Thank you. >> You just put that in the pocket. You You put that in here. Sure. You put in his diaper bag. Okay. >> I think you got his diaper bag. Take the stuff out. Where's the diaper bag? >> His diaper bag in there. >> You can put the purse inside his diaper bag. >> Um, so he's going to drive a car basically right behind you guys, but it's going to get towed from our station. >> But I can go to the tow. >> Yeah. Pay us the $500 administration fee and then Yes, you can go to the Toyota. going to >> careful. >> I'll talk to the officers. I can't promise you anything, but I'll see what I can do with you to hopefully get you released. Again, I don't take my word. I I don't have control over what happens. Okay. All I could do is ask. Okay. >> Even if they say you walked out with her, >> maybe you can talk to them and see what you can do. Just be honest with them and then you've been honest with me. So, I'll tell them out with anything. But once you see >> I got you out. >> Yep. I'll let them know. If it was me, >> I I could repeat, but I don't know what they're going to say. Okay. >> The case closes with both suspects facing retail theft charges. Number two, when a shoplifter won't admit the obvious. On April 16th, 2025, officers responded to a Dillards after store staff reported a woman attempting to remove tags from clothing before concealing the items. Here's what happened once officers got to the scene. >> So, this is the deal. She concealed over $1,000 worth of stuff in a bag. She taking it all out when she was approved. The problem is is we weren't just trying to be nice and going to get all our stuff back, but we're still missing items and she's acting like I mean she works here or something. So, and so maybe you can help us get her items back. >> Hello. >> Hi. How are you? >> Good. How are you? >> I'm good. >> Do you have a driver's license with you or an ID? >> Uh, she has it. >> All right. From New York, but >> do you live down in Florida now or >> No, I live here. I grew up here and I originally lived in New York for 15 years. >> Okay. How long have you been living down here from New York? >> Okay. About 2020. >> Yeah. >> So I guess >> 1320. >> I tried on like I think seven different combinations thinking I was a small, extra small, large, medium, and a large. >> The tags fell off. She's looking for two items without tags on them and I she's asking me where they are. I don't know. I can look for her. I offered to pay for the two for the inconvenience. I know they came off. She said they don't come off when you try them on. >> I mean, we heard in the fitting room like ripping. >> No, >> I mean these don't come off easily. This is like a whole >> May I demonstrate? Actually, it's it's quite easy. >> I never don't rip any more rip any tags off. >> No, just set it down. Set it down. Just put the tag in while you're dressing. >> Yeah. >> So, you already missing these two. >> It's We have a picture of it. I'll show you. >> I have a picture of it here. >> This is >> Is it a top and a bottom? >> We scanned the tags and this is what came up. It's the top and the bottom. >> Okay. >> So, almost. >> Yeah. except for it's mediums and that's street. >> Despite multiple employees saying otherwise, the woman continues to claim she did nothing wrong. But at this point, it's clear she's the only one in the room who believes that. I guess >> um she put over $1,000 worth of stuff in a bag in the fitting room. Is that correct? and she was callers. >> When they stopped her, they stopped her when she was leaving. She took everything out of the bag, but they're missing. >> Well, I asked her, she had if I could look through her bag, and then she said that there's it was in the fitting room. Then she went in the fitting room, shut the door, and started taking the items out of her bag and left her there, >> but we can't find it. Yeah, I didn't know. I was in the store in her car leaving. She took my ID and then she came out and said that she's new and doesn't know anything. That's not what she said >> to me. That's not what she said. >> Oh, so they really just wanted to get their stuff back, but they're missing their stuff. >> Yeah. So, >> that's where we're at right now. >> Did you throw them on? >> Did I throw them away? No. >> Throw them on. Like, >> you have them on. >> No, I don't. And I don't have any. I offered to >> She said these just said these just fell off. >> They're very easy to fall off. And so there's I know that there's like nine pairs of each at the bottom. I guarantee you there's at least two with those. >> There's not I ma'am I looked before we wasted your time because there our work looking she either ditched them somewhere or where they can't be found or she's wearing them. Those are the only two options. There's no other option. >> Do you mind if I look in your bag? >> I I don't I do mind but it's like cuz Oh my god. She already looks in my bag. >> Okay. Do you mind if I look in the bag? Do you mind if I search the bag? >> Yeah. >> Sorry. Officers were hoping for cooperation, but instead the woman just keeps defending herself, repeating the same claims and refusing to acknowledge what's already clear. >> Do you understand? They're trying to work with you and just get their stuff done. >> Yes. And I would I told them I would I mean, how can I go look? I thing is I went in twice to the dressing room and the first time it was a younger girl that helped me and I gave everything back and that was when those tags fell off. So they were on the hangers without the tags. I put the tags in my bag. I just didn't want to say sorry these fell off blah blah blah. So when I went into the dressing room to get rid of everything and leave those I put outside with the flaw paddings that I had normal like the tags. >> Yeah. >> It's not normal. It's abnormal and I shouldn't have done it. >> There's like no reason for any of this. >> Okay. Are you willing to to to show me if you have it on or not? >> My clothes and my undergarments. >> Yeah. Well, I mean, even if she went like this and showed us her bra >> thing, we'd know that whether it's a swimsuit. >> No, >> no, I don't want to get naked. No, I don't want to get naked. >> Get naked. >> I'll You want to see mine? I mean, I'll show you. It's a strap. >> Okay. >> I mean, we'll step on it if she wants better privacy or whatever. >> Okay. So, just >> Do you have a bra on? >> Can you be you? >> Do you have a bra? I know what she's looking for. >> It's just a regular bra like this. It's okay. >> I know what I have on. It's It's just this >> that I'm going to be. >> That's not a bathing. This is a tank a yellow tank top. A tankini. I don't have anything like this. >> I don't know. >> No, it's not. >> I don't know. I don't know. >> I can't tell. I can't tell. I just know >> those. I I'll offer to even pay like just to be if she's upset about the two. This isn't the f this isn't this isn't our first rodeo. So we know our we know our our our laws and what we need to do. She >> this isn't the first time they've asked and it won't be the last. Store employees once again urge her to turn over the merchandise she tried to conceal. >> We can press charges on everything that you conceal which is a felony charge in the state of Florida. It's over $1,000 and you will go to jail. Alls I'm saying, ma'am, very kindly and nicely is we want our stuff back. Tell me and where you ditched them. Save all these people's nice time. We will we will trespass you from the store and we never have to see each other again. You can't go into another dealers for seven years. >> And it's it it's that simple. Or we she has to take out and take put your handcuffs on, walk you out the store, and you have to go to jail. I Okay, I can I go with you and her down the entire time to please tell me the truth. I have them in person. >> They're going to be on a hanger in one of three spots or on the floor. >> All right. By the dresses. That's it. All right. Let's go. >> I'm going to be mad. >> She's going to walk. So, if you'all want to escort her as well >> to show them where she thinks it is. So, >> she just showed a yellow strap. So, >> are these the same tags? >> Are these the tags? >> Yes. >> Yeah. Okay. >> They're all We've already checked. Every one of them have tags on it. >> Check everyone. We've done our own one. Hold on. I'll just I know that it's not. That's There's another place, too. Even if she returns like you put us in a difficult position if you're not willing to press charges. >> I'm willing to pay for these two things. If you if I cannot find them, I will find them. I just know it cuz I at least two mediums. >> The suspect continues to stall, unable to show where the merchandise was hidden. Officers have given her every chance, but their patience is wearing thin. >> Yeah. >> Okay. It doesn't look like it's here at all. >> It was right over here. >> Similar. Yeah. I mean, it was yellow, but I Yeah, I can't. We couldn't. >> We can arrest her for all she'll get, >> but at the end of the day, I have her running around the store. This is not a safe environment. We're just going to press >> here. >> The decision's been made. She's heading to the station, but the moment charges are mentioned, she backtracks, trying to talk her way out of the current charges. >> Am I going to see that woman again? Like, is it just us from now on? Or is it that woman that >> I don't know if she's going to come back in here or not? Why? >> Is there any way she can't? And I can make it maybe easier on you guys. It's her store. So, >> I know. I just There's a part of me that just wants to do it. Not here because >> I mean once we finish the paperwork, we'll get you out of here. >> Well, what I'm saying is if the paperwork involves getting more items, which I may or may not have on, I'd rather just >> rather you guys >> give them to you >> the items back right now. >> Do you have them? >> Yeah. And I just don't want to do it in front of her. So, it's up to if I don't see her again, I'll give it to you now somehow. I mean, go to the bathroom, whatever it is. But if she's going to be involved more, I don't want to do it here. >> I just don't. So, whatever that I don't want to see her, she's been absolutely great. Like, you made it hard. >> So, she just told me that she does have items on and she wants to take them off now and return them, but it's up to you. If it's easier for you guys to >> I mean it will be easier for us. >> I don't mind getting them and then being right in here. I don't No. I can do it all with her right now. >> Yeah. So you're okay with doing it in here? >> We'll all be she'll be in here% >> and the door will not be locked but it'll be >> fine. Yeah. Just I just not see this woman but she isn't. >> That's all. >> Okay. >> 100% easy. We can we can do that. >> One of you guys just stand right there >> and I'll let you know. >> Okay. You I have an I have underwear on as well. So if you just My shoulders are >> So you just want to pull those down. >> Mhm. >> Okay. It's just my shoulders. >> Give me one sec. >> The confession comes too late to make a difference. The officer tightens her restraints and leads her to the waiting unit outside. >> I'm going to I'm going to uncuff you long enough to get everything off. Don't do anything crazy. >> First one is going to be >> cuz they're right outside the door. >> Hold on one second. >> 5650 break. >> Hold on. Hold on. Don't pull your hand. Let me get it off from around your hand. >> Second one is going to be Mike 616 212. >> Yeah. I'm going to take it off and then I'll put them back on. >> 1 0 0 probably one of the tags that was on the table. >> And you had underwear on there. >> Yeah, I do. You want to see any? >> Okay. >> I'm just going to let them know that you did. Hold >> on. I have top. >> I think at least more than one. This is totally like just like the it's not normal. I'm going to do this. Not normal. My day has not been like like worst day ever. So, this is this is the dumbest thing I could have done. I have my sports bra in my bag that I'm sure I can't wear. >> They're They're going to take it from you anyway. So, they're going to give you give you clothes to wear. >> I just keep my jacket on. >> Yeah, keep your shirt on. >> So, that has a tag on it. That has a tag on it. >> And no more bottoms. Just the one bottoms. Not You don't have the bottoms to this one. >> I don't have it. No, I don't have anything else. I'm >> at this point. It doesn't matter what else she says. The outcome is set and now it's out of her hands. It was two totally different scenarios and everything was like normal. Talked to me. I said, "Yeah, I'm really sorry." She goes, "I'll walk you out." And I gave it to her. Came down the other. And the other woman just screamed and came out and yelled, "Dragg me back in all the security and all this stuff." She's saying, "Where is this?" And I said, "To go to go." It was just outrageous. It was just like I just froze out >> and waited for you guys. And then, you know, I I don't have any other priors and I don't I don't know what it even means to go to jail. Um or how to get out. I do take medication. I'm just scared of like, you know, just being overnight and stuff, but um I do have like family here and um >> yeah, I'm sure that they'll write down a number for you out of your phone before they before they put it away. All >> right, sounds good. Okay. I didn't I wanted to not have that stuff on me, but I actually forgot I was dressing her. It's just that woman she had a nerve that was just so I just I was going to wait till I got to jail, but I just knew that you guys have so much paperwork and I felt bad. You know, you were saying >> aside from being trespassed from Dillards for 7 years, the woman was charged with retail theft over $750. Number one, shoplifter gets abandoned by her accompllices. On April 8th, 2025, police responded to a call from Walmart about a shoplifting incident involving three individuals. When officers got there, two had already taken off, leaving one suspect behind to answer for what they all did. This is what happened next. >> All right, I'm done running out. So, whatever you got to do, Tammy, you're good. >> Understood. So, I I called um my sergeant of the detectives and I was explaining the situation. Okay. Not the theft issue, the other issues that you're currently being stuck in the middle of. Okay. I at least wanted him to be in the loops. That way, we can start trying to help you any way we can. Okay. The theft issue that we're talking about is something that you're going to have to deal with as an individual. Okay. But I'm going to work with you as much as I can on everything and um we're going to try to figure out what this dude's deal is. Okay. >> My friends were heading here to get me. Um I don't know if they're here or not. Okay. They were on my phone, >> but I didn't know if they showed up or not. >> I have no idea. >> Memorial. And I'm leaving. I'm going to get ready if my kids go home or >> Okay. >> Whatever. Exactly. Wait four or five hours. >> Okay. What I'm going to tell you is you are going to jail for the theft. Okay. I will let you reach out to your friends and let them know so they're not worried sick about you and you don't have to waste a jail phone call on reaching out to them. Okay? that we can call somebody that can either help you or an attorney or something like that. Okay. Okay. Is this phone ever going to be good for you >> in the next couple months? The reason I'm asking is cuz the detectors are probably trying to reach out to you to help you. So, I want to make sure it's a good one. Okay. And this address, what city is that in? Is that okay? >> Do you know my bail will be >> with you being an out oftowner? Bail is going to be 5,000. They're 10%. Cuz a theft is a misdemeanor of the first degree and the bonds are standard. Theft total $788.32 before tax. And that doesn't include the cost of what Amber's accompllices may have taken. >> Now, that being said, it's Tuesday. They just had initial appearances in court today. They might be able to get you in sooner, so you might get your bond lowered or something like that. It's up to the judge. I'm not going to charge you with having bubble. You're very honest and forthcoming on that. But hey, bro, I'm going be honest with you. It It's comes down to the dollar amount. If somebody comes in here and steals 50 bucks worth of food or something, they get a summon and they got to go to court. We're talking it wind up being 800 I'm sorry $788.32 is is what the value is for pre-tax on all this stuff. That's a lot of money. A lot of money. And Amber, I wish you would have called. If you felt like somebody forced you to come in here and take a PlayStation 5, this would have been a significantly different conversation if you called the police and said, "This is what happened to me. I'm abandoned here. I need help." And then this conversation would very likely be so different. But instead, you held on to this, for lack of a better term, PlayStation for him after he abandoned you >> and we we would have never known who you were. You would have left here and we would have tried to figure out who you were on this video. And maybe we did, maybe we didn't. Maybe you would have had a warrant in a month. I don't know. But instead, you you didn't call. You sat and waited and waited and waited. >> And I do feel for you. I really do. I'm not just saying that, but you got yourself in a heck of a spot here. Now, Patrolman Fe, I don't know if he explained to you when he talked to you in my back seat. One of the things that he specializes in is human trafficking. >> The officer speaks gently, reminding Amber that if she's being pressured or forced into anything, now's the time to speak up. While that conversation plays out, loss prevention prepares the trespass paperwork. >> I know that you're saying that the answer is no. And I'm going to be honest with you, I don't 100% believe you. I think this Christopher Troll guy is doing something like that, at least similar to you. And what I would encourage you to do is think really hard on it. And if there's something you want to talk more about, ask for Fe. He has the resources and the knowhow to help you get out of that. Okay? Okay. >> 225. Good. >> So, I'm just going to go over. So, Amber, we are going to be trespassing from all Walmart locations. I think includes parking lots. Um, I understand the situation that you were in. Um, but Walmart's policy is clear on that. >> Um, >> subject matching, >> but forever, but I believe the minimum is 2 years. That's right. But it might come up. >> Is that your legal name? >> That name. >> Okay. So, is that do you When's the last time you got a driver's license or ID? >> When I get in trouble, >> it's so it's not >> my name. My first married name. Okay. >> I was just clarifying with Miss and yes, her legal name is Amber. >> Sign under the witness. >> With the scene under control, officers and store staff begin reviewing surveillance footage, gathering clips of Amber and the two suspects who managed to escape. >> Did you copy that? Yeah, it's that's her legal name according to the state. >> Go ahead. >> Can you get a time frame of when they came into town >> about 3:30, right? Right around 15:30. What was the vehicle again? >> You have it still on now. What kind of car was it again? >> Blue Honda CRV, I think. >> Okay. And it's going to be the blue Honda CRV. We were able to confirm with Mr. previous thefts. That looks more like a Ford Escape. Okay. >> Okay. >> You guys saw >> right 292. Can you look up Mr. and see if he has any Honda SUVs in his name and what the signal say. Please >> Oh, Morgan. Disregard. It's going to be under his girlfriend's name, which is a If you can have any luck with that, she should be out of the Kashakan area as well. Same age. After reviewing the footage and gathering witness input, the officers and LP staff confirmed the vehicle involved was an old blue Honda CRV. >> Yeah, you see the front of it says CRV. Yep. That's an old CRV. >> I was like, is that a GMC Jimmy? It's about the same range that everybody knows. 25 to 13. We have the video of the vehicle. It's going to be late 90s, early 2000s model, dark blue in color. Once he's done printing off all his information there, we're going to go. Okay. Excuse me. that she's associated with him. >> Yeah. >> Oh, it's because I told >> Sorry, my brains are fried at this point. >> Understood. >> Do you have any idea how many packs of cards he took? >> No. Is it a lot? Okay. >> 13 to 25. What was the girlfriend's name? The girlfriend and the vehicle is registered to a The store's clear surveillance footage reveals what the other two managed to steal. The two managed to get away with boxes of trading cards valued at $50 to $60 each. >> Four. >> How many? >> Four of them. You think those are like $30 a pop? No, those might be $60 boxes. I can go I go on >> the green box. >> Green and blue. Did he come back? >> Did he just go steal the cars once? >> I have no idea. >> Don't know. Okay. He's less of a hurry. So, if you want when you come back, just get me a packet on the cards, too, cuz I'll send a warning for that as well. >> All right. I don't anticipate seeing him anytime soon. So, at your leisure, just let us know. >> Tomorrow, >> I'll just No, >> I'll probably work on it tomorrow if I have time. >> That's fine. I'm here all weekend, so and someone else can pick it up for me, too. So, >> no biggie. >> Take the small With everything documented, store staff begin finalizing the paperwork to close out their end of the case. How much? >> $60. >> $50 each. >> $40. >> Okay. And he for sure didn't pay, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Thanks, man. >> Is that everything from you guys? >> You. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> Thank you guys. 25 chance. In the end, officers don't have much to go on. Aside from security footage and a vehicle description, Amber's accompllices are still unidentified. >> Go ahead. Relax. >> Unable to locate a nothing in house, nothing through leads. Contacted the shock. They don't have a record of anyone by that name. >> Clear. I just forgot. See what it's on Facebook. We'll locate it. I'll find her. All right. >> Thank you guys for the description. >> Have you ever actually seen? >> Yes. She's kind of like my build. >> She got really long curly hair. >> Okay. >> Um about how old is she? >> Um I'd say about 30 32 maybe. Okay. >> She's a little bit older than Chris. A little bit younger than me. >> Okay. 13's going to be a similar build as my 21 with long curly hair. Early 30s. >> Amber was ultimately charged with retail theft. What's your verdict? Let me know in the comments and I'll see you in the next video. As always, stay safe out there, folks.
