Now I go to jail. That's where you're taking me anyway. >> You don't have three men in here taking me away. >> Stop resisting. >> Put your hand to do that behind your back. Put your hand behind your back. >> You're under arrest. Stop. >> The customer may always be right, but that's not a pass to act however you want. These entitled customers bring major attitude problems to nononsense officers. This customer's story left even the police scratching their heads. On January 29th, 2025, officers responded to a call about a stolen vehicle. After locating the car, they finally flagged down the driver, leading to a tense confrontation. >> Roll down the window. Let me see your hands. >> Let me see your hands. That was 77. Hold the channel. Let me see your hands. Step out. Come out to me. Come to me. >> Come to me. Keep your hands up and walk towards me. >> I'll tell you in a second. Walk towards me. Keep your hands up. Keep coming. >> Keep I'll tell you in a second. Keep coming. >> Come here. Come here. >> Come back towards us and I'll tell you what's going on. >> Come back towards me. >> Come over here. >> Get over here. >> There's a passenger. >> Police. Put your hands behind your back. >> Wait for me. my car. >> Um, my key. >> All right, relax for a second. >> All right, I'll >> explain everything in a second. >> What is going on? >> I'll tell you in a second. >> What is going on? >> You can't arrest me. >> Stop moving. Okay, you're not under arrest, but if you keep feedback like this, you're going to be arrested, right? The car you're in is stolen. Okay, >> stolen. So, hang on a second. >> We're not going to talk about it in the middle of a parking lot until I know what's going on. All right. >> My car is stolen. >> Relax. Wow, he's only three. Can we like >> Okay, we are we are good now. But I don't know that until I see who you are. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> What's your first name? >> First of all, >> this is my Okay, hold on. First of all, no. First off, you're going to stand right here. Okay. And you're going to not you're not going to keep moving. >> I am trying to talk to you about the way that here. >> Spread your feet. >> Listen to me. Listen. Listen. Listen to me. With the suspect now cuffed, the officer takes a moment to explain why she's being detained. >> First of all, the car is not stolen. It's mine. >> All right. >> Second, my wallet is in my purse if that's what you're looking for. >> I'm looking to make sure you have nothing on it. >> I don't have anything on. >> Listen, let me do my Okay. Can you like relax a little bit? >> Just relax a little bit. You are grabbing me, yanking me, moving me. Come on. >> I will tell you exactly. I don't have anything on me that will hurt you. >> I don't know that. Listen, Listen to me. This is our job. I met you 30 seconds ago. Okay. So, when you're in a car that is stolen, I don't know who you are. I don't know if it's your car. You're sitting there not coming. Will you stop talking for one second? Do you want to stop talking for a second? >> I can show you my ID. Nothing is on that. >> The reason it started up like this is because of poor behavior. Do you understand that? >> No. Just calm down. >> Is your ID in your purse? >> Are you okay with me getting your ID out of here? This is what we have to do. >> Andre, I got out the car to a gun pointed at my three-year-old in the back seat. >> Okay. >> Like, what are you talking about? My ID is in my purse. Yes. And I can show you my registration and everything that's in the car as well. >> As my car. >> So, now we're back to a calmer demeanor. >> But I don't know who you are. >> This is how I've been this entire time. >> No, you weren't. You were standing there not listening to I simply said I said I said come to me about 10 times and you then you started drifting this way like that >> come to me my three-year-old was right there >> I don't cuz I don't know who you are I don't know if you have a gun in your purse I I found a gun in the car yesterday >> okay >> anyway >> do you understand where we're coming from >> okay I understand >> you can lean against here for me if you want to relax >> my car >> before asking any further questions The officer properly reads her Miranda rightites. >> My card, my registration is in a glove box. >> Hey, listen real quick. >> You're not under arrest right now. I'll put you in cuffs. Okay? So, I'm just going to read this to you to be careful. >> You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can use against you in the court of law, you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you're being questioned. And if you can not afford to hire attorney, one will be appointed represent you before any question if you wish. Do you understand that? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, can you explain to me how this is a car registered to you? >> Yes, I can show you how. >> Okay. Can you explain to me why it was reported stolen yesterday? >> I don't I I've been having uh problems with the people who I got it from, like the loner people. >> But I bought the car. I can show you all the all of that paperwork is at my home though. Like my down payment I paid for the car. My everything like that right off the street. >> Why would it have Do you stay out in Glendale Heights? >> No. >> No. >> No. >> Why? Why would Glendale Heights report stolen? >> That's what I'm saying. No, I got I look I got the car from them. >> Okay. >> They tried to call the police on me and tried to repossess my car, do an illegal repossession on my car. >> When did that happen? >> Once a month. >> So when when did you take did you take the car back? Yesterday? >> No. >> How long have you had the car back? >> I've had this car since October. Since September. I've bought this car. >> So when you said they try to when they try to repossess So I made a payment on the car, they report they tried to repossess it from me and then I they called the police. >> Dumb about that. When you said they tried to do like how did they take it? >> No, they tried to take it from me because they told me that I had they could repossess it over insurance. So they reported to the police that they were going to repossess and everything. I called the police cuz I couldn't find it. I found it. It was in my lot. >> Okay. >> Never took it. So then I'm like I don't know what's going on. So I called the police. The police said that it was on the repossession list. I c to the police in Glendale. >> Is this at is this at the address is happening at? >> Yes. The officer soon learned there may have been confusion surrounding the vehicle payments leading it to being flagged as stolen. However, the woman claimed she can prove she paid for it. >> And I called the um the Glendale police actually called me and told me they could never do anything about it because it was a civil matter because they're talking about I didn't make a payment. I have proof of all the payments that >> I guess I'm confused. Why is Glendale Heights involved if you live in >> I don't know. That's what I understand. >> Did you buy this car Glenn Heights? >> Yes. That's why I car. Okay. >> So, I'm I'm not understanding how that car is stolen when it's registered to me. I can show you my registration and everything and all my paperwork. That is my car. I literally be making payments on this car. So, for them to report it stolen is crazy. >> All right. Just give me one second. All right. >> Yeah, they're good. 77. Can you copy your name, date of birth, history, contact? >> Oh, yeah. There's no in the car. I just have >> You're upset. I do. >> They're going to come straight back. Step over here. >> That was the most awful. >> How are you? >> I told him we're trying to fix the ish car issue. >> Yeah, all good. I'm going to come off this a little bit. >> This is her car. >> Really? >> Uh well, that's what she said. I got to run it real quick. >> Um but it sounds like it might be a repo issue where she might have took it back from the lot. >> I need Glendale Heights to give me some info on it. >> So, she said she never she said she never took it out of the lot. They tried to come get it, but they never successfully repoed it. And >> a lot of crap. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Exactly. At this point, officers contact the company responsible for reporting the car stolen to clarify the situation further. >> Christ. We're going to get figure out in a sec. All right. They're going to call me. You didn't take it out of the repo out last night. >> No. >> All right. I know there was an issue, right? Correct. With property or something. It's never been repoed is what you're saying. >> No. >> Okay. >> How could I still it out the repole out last night when it was in my >> I don't know. That's why I'm asking. And I just I'm wondering why they would have decided to put it into into our system as stolen just yesterday. >> You know, it's not yesterday. >> Mhm. >> That's why that's what you understand why the reason >> you understand the reason we came at you the way we did when it was when it's stolen within 24 hours and then >> and that's fine. That's that's totally fine. I've had this car for more than 24 I've had this car since September. So, >> okay. Well, I just want to give you a heads up. I'm going to I'm going to see what they want to do with this. >> I stole it. Obviously, if they have a crime on their end and they >> actually look at my >> Okay, listen. I'm trying to explain to you. If they say it's their case, right? I just happen to find you up here. >> If they say they got charges or something against you reference going to repo lot, then you're probably going to come with us. Okay? And then >> there's no rep >> or the car at least is going to come with us and then they might come interview you later on. But I'm waiting for a phone call from them. Okay. >> That's right. >> Who is that to you? >> That's my dad's cousin. >> Okay. Did anyone get your kid's name yet from you? >> No. >> Okay. >> Moments later, the officer speaks with a company representative who originally issued the stolen vehicle report to clarify the misunderstanding and determine how they want to proceed. >> Okay. So, they never successfully repossessed it the first time cuz that's what she's telling me. She said there was threaten of being it repossessed and they came looking for it in her apartment complex and but they never took it. Um she Okay. So, no charges to come for her right now based on what you guys are telling me. Okay. So, just just so I get this click. Sorry. Go ahead. In the paper. Yeah, I'm sure. Um, so let me get just make sure I got everything on the same page. So, 11424 cars repoed um by what was the original company? Not JD by Rider. Repo by what tow company? Armor recover. And then is JD by Rider where she like leased it from? Okay. So, they tow it, get give it over to the JD by rider lot, and then on a what 1112 it's gone, and then your guys go out to interview her. She just claims, "I don't know where it's at." Um, doesn't provide any information, says it's a civil issue. JD by writer just says, "Hey, we'll try and repo it a second time." And, um, they don't want to sign complaints. Okay. So you guys don't need Obviously, if that's the case, we're not going to take her in on anything. Um, she's been fairly cooperative. She was a little bit of a kind of a go on the felony stop when we pinned her. Obviously, she had her kid in the car and there's guns. She's like, she's like, "Why are guns being pointed at me?" And I'm like, "We'll talk about a second." She wasn't really listening, but she's calmed down. But, uh, if that's the case, I mean, we'll doc go ahead. Sorry. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Um, it was kind of I >> So, if you're good with it, I plan on just writing a report about what happened out here. Um, document who was all in the car and I'm probably going to cut her if you guys are okay with that. I mean, I'm not they're not going to give me charges on our end if uh obviously the complaint doesn't even want to press charges. Um, it's her car. Um, it's a civil issue at that point. >> With the situation clarified, officers explained to the woman what the next steps will be moving forward. have the same last name as you. >> I don't know. >> Okay. Listen, >> not done talking. >> Um, let you know your car was stolen or in less is stolen. That's why we came out to you the way we did. Okay. I'm just explaining to you what's happened. Okay. They said back in November, >> you got your car repoed in Glendale Heights. They said a week later at Buy Rider, whatever this company is, wherever you bought the car, I'm not sure. They said that it was no longer on their lot. So, they suspected that you or someone you know went and took it out of the lot. Okay. and there was some disagreement about getting property out of it. They said that Glendale officers came and talked to you a couple days later to ask from your statement. They said that you didn't provide a ton of information. Said you didn't know where the car was and said it was a civil issue and no one's seen the car since then. Obviously, you're driving it today. So, it's somehow got out of the lot back in November. So, then it was entered and stolen. I'm just telling you what they told me. Don't get mad at me. Okay. >> And they said, just so you know, you're still delinquent on payments and they plan on finding they're going to attempt to come repo you again. Okay. So, um, do you would you like to give me your kid's name for the report so I can not know what happened? >> No, you have contacts with us, right? I'll be able to dig it up. You're free to go. Let me move my car. >> Feisty. >> The issue with the vehicle was ultimately cleared up with the company, but officers made it clear that cooperation from the beginning would have prevented much of the trouble. Walking away would have saved this guy a lot of trouble. In our next case, officers responded to a bar and restaurant after a dispute broke out while guests were still waiting in line outside. Upon arrival, officers immediately made contact with one of the individuals involved. >> I'm trying to get off the stage. There's nobody here. >> Yo, I'm not I CAME RIGHT BACK DOWN. I'm like I say, "Yo, if they ask you to leave, that's over." So, I mean, you're good with us. This is what they ask you to leave. Yeah. >> Yeah. I say, "Yo, they're in the way. Can I just tell them to get out of the way, >> right, >> bro? Grab me, spill my drink, everything." I'm like, "Yo, >> so here's the thing." And here here's the reality. I'm not saying you did or didn't. I honestly just because we weren't there. Just once they ask you to leave that's they're not going to let you back. >> I wasn't trying to like I promise you I wasn't trying to >> I don't think you were. You know what I mean? Like I said I wasn't there. So >> what military you >> I was in the army. >> Nice. >> I got my everything. >> Oh that's good right there. I'm not good night. I was trying to >> you go with us. They're just not going to let you back in for the night. That's all. >> That's all. I appreciate you being decent about a scenario. You know what I mean? >> Like respect as a grown man. Yeah. >> You don't got to grab me. >> No, I get that. >> I would happily walk out. It's just I I came on stage. Yeah. I came on stage. You said get down. I said, "All right, cool." And I just tell him to get >> For some reason, that's always been like a hot button thing here. like you can't get on the stage with the You think it would just be have one way in, one way out, no dudes. So, I don't know what it is. But you're good with us as far as it's concerned. You want to go eat food with your with your buds or whatever. Like, >> that's just a buzz. >> But on the upside, there's still plenty other bars to hit. So, my boys, just as long as you don't go back inside, we're all straight. That's it. >> The guest allegedly inserted himself into the situation by trying to help another man get into the bar after being denied entry. For now, officers are only asking for his cooperation. >> I know it ends up one of those Fast and Furious things. You're like, "Hold on. I have just one question. >> As I'm saying, the funny thing is I'm a bouncing like at my old school I was a bouncer. I was at Iowa State and on the weekend I did a little bouncing gig just because it was back. I checked IDs. >> I did that when I was in the Marine Corp. That was my second job on the weekend. >> And it's like it's easy money. I only had to throw one person out because like I was on [ __ ] walking around doing my he was like yo come here like yeah relax he start bumping into girls that's the only time I had to put my head yeah that was egregious LIKE I UNDERSTAND IT JUST ends up how are you boss it just ends up being one of those fast and curious Oh, he hit six people. No, I'm just kidding. He went I guess he went on stage. >> Hold on. >> Moments later, officers notice the same man once again trying to get into line despite being told to leave with staff making it clear he isn't welcome inside. Officers decide it's time to put a stop to the behavior. >> Walk away. Walk away. Have a good night. Have a good night. Get the out of here. Go away. Have a nice night. Have a nice night. >> No, you're not. Have a nice night. >> Listen, it's time to go. HAVE A NICE NIGHT. >> TIME to go, B. They just want you to leave anywhere you want. It's not here. They're kicking you out. >> I don't know. I don't have to go. They ask you to leave. I don't have to. >> You can leave or get locked up. It's one or the other. >> Us. What's up? >> Sorry. I'll show you. It's already called >> trespass. Define trespass. >> They say trespass. >> Take it nice and easy. >> Yeah. They told you to leave. We told you to leave. We're >> public property. We're not in there. It's >> disorderly conduct too. So you ain't got to worry about it. Okay. >> 6 millm. You send a unit to one 41. Affirmative 41. No problem filming. Just take a couple steps back. I'll put this back in. Thank you. >> This is crazy. >> Exactly. Richard was asking for what? Then you put me on. >> No. >> No. I already explained to you that they told you to leave. Okay. >> Asked you to leave >> and you needed to go and you kept saying for what? For what? For what? >> I explained it. I explained it. You didn't want to hear it. >> How was that? >> Moments later, the suspect's friend joins the confrontation and begins challenging the officer once more. So just to be clear, this is this is public this is public sentiment >> here is not >> but also disorderly conduct disorderly conduct and trespass. All right. He was refusing to leave when they were telling him to leave. He refused to leave when we told him to leave. He's causing a scene in front of a group of people. And that's disorderly conduct right there. >> He's refusing to leave. >> I just explained to you it's also disorderly conduct. All right. All right. He was causing a scene. is causing a scene in front of people, in front of the public. >> All right. >> That's disorderly conduct. >> I love you so much. I know you're not going to shotgun. Hold on, man. Back up. >> I'm just I'm getting his I'm getting his keys. That's it. What though? >> You want your friend to have your keys? >> What? >> You want your friend to hold on to your keys? >> Sure. >> Which which keys? Right here. >> These ones right here. >> Grab the flip phone. >> Okay. It's just cash and lighter in this pocket. That way it out. All right. >> Are you serious? >> Yeah. >> I told you, right? He tries pushing back once again, but the officer's next response quickly shuts the argument down. >> Give me a warning. Yeah, I did. How? What do you mean, Dude? Just hop in. Hop in. We've already explained it three times. Cuz you're not moving, bud. >> You're under arrest. Hop on in. >> For what? >> Hop in. >> Defiant trespass. >> I want to speak to your supervisor. >> Sure. Go. Get in the car. Have a nice day. >> Okay. Can I speak to you? >> Get in the car. >> This is the supervisor. >> Get in the car. >> Okay. Put your legs in. What? >> We're going to charge you for resisting if you don't get in the car. >> How am I resisting? >> Get in the car. >> I'm in the car. >> You have to get in the car, bud. Come on. >> Okay, now what? >> Thank you. He'll bring you into headquarters. You can speak in there. Okay. >> What are you talking about? >> There we go. >> 601 Main Street. >> It'll be the rear of the building. So, like when it'll you can follow 601 Main Street and just go right around to the back lot. It's going to be a few hours, right? a few hours. >> Just to be clear, you bank them public service and also uh trespass. >> It'll he'll have all his charges written out. Okay. >> Don't talk to him. He's stuck. Walk over there. Get away from my car. >> All right. >> He's going right to the 601. Um, >> just in case >> 1700 call that Delmar PD you're going to get a prompt just and that'll be for dispatch. Okay. It all wrapped up with a man being charged with interference with business, disorderly conduct, and defiant trespass. Customer harasses bartenders until police step in. On October 25th, 2024, officers responded to a bar after receiving reports of a disruptive man who refused to leave. Here's what happened when the police arrived. >> What's going on? >> The cheeky bar. He's just had enough. He won't leave. Frankie Tosiano. So I have his car keys. I gave him back his house keys. >> Trying to fight with everybody now. >> What's going on, Frank? >> There it is. >> What's up, buddy? >> What's going on, bud? Time to leave. Here's what officers walked into when they arrived. >> Get the [ __ ] out of here. >> Get the out of here. Back off. Back off. >> Be fair. Okay. >> Give me your >> I'm not loying. Next thing he tried to buy another bottle of wine said buy one wine. He's drinking. No, sir. He can't buy it. He asked a friend guy. We asked him to leave. He left. Sure enough, he's come back down and he's just ranting gravy. We saw him. He was going for the wine. He saw me. He went the other way. He started to go to he he loaded up food in that cart. I don't know where he went, but he loaded the food up in the cart and then sure enough, he was going to the bathroom. And I knew I was watching. So I ran I ran to the bathroom. I had another guy cuz I said, you know, make sure and show off he was trying to take the food into the bathroom. >> So I knew that. >> So you were told >> and then I told him to please leave and he wouldn't leave. He says I'm going to f you up. >> He pushed me and then he said, "I'm going to f you up and I'm going to" And he went into this hob thing, sir. Nobody has to listen to you curse. Based on the interaction, it's clear the man was not only physically aggressive, but verbally abusive towards staff as well. >> And then he says how he's going to over and over how he's going to have then he says then he's calling and he's calling me. I'm like really? >> And when I got here, he was standing right here and he walked up to him was like yeah like ready to write. So that's why I grabbed him. Um can you write a statement for me? You would be willing to statement really quick. All right. >> Yeah. >> That's it. >> Yeah. All right. >> With statements from witnesses secured, officers removed the suspect from the store and reveal they've dealt with him before. >> I'm right now pay for everything, bro. >> That's the thing. You're always cool with me, but you're never cool with anyone else. Well, I know. >> Wait, man. What's going on? >> So, they ask you >> So, this is the this is the thing, right? They ask you to leave, right? >> I was just trying to buy a >> Okay. But if they ask you to leave, you're supposed to leave, right? >> Yes, sir. >> Right. All because you couldn't keep your together, man. Like I said, you're always cool with me, >> dude. I'm always cool with >> You're always respectful of me, >> dude. I'm not. >> But you're not being respectful to other people, and that's the issue, >> dude. I was trying to buy a sandwich. >> Sit down. >> I did nothing wrong. >> He thought I was loitering, bro. I'm not loitering. I get all that. But >> yeah, >> I did nothing wrong. >> Alpha 3, Alpha 2. Yo, >> prior to the ride to the station, officers wrap up the statements from everyone involved. >> Sir, how are you? >> Oh, I'm fine. >> Deputy Portal. Um, so real quick, just cuz I'm going to I'm going to end up taking him to jail. What uh what exactly happened? >> Okay. So, I can just hear they're all witnesses to this anyways. Uh what happens was he was in here earlier today and he was on the premise, you know, he came in the premises. He bought a couple of bottles of wine from what I understand. So, and it turns out he opened one of them. Okay. And he was drinking on the premises, which I didn't know at the time, but I when I did finally see him with a cup, he poured into a cup. I told him, "You have to leave and you can't have a bottle on the premises." I said, "You're not allowed to drink within 500 ft of it." He didn't give me a hard time. He was like, "Oh, okay. I know." I said, "Okay." I said, "Please come. you're going to be arrested, I said. So, he said, "Oh, no. I don't want to get arrested." So, he goes and he um he leaves. And then he came back again and he tries to buy another bottle of wine. I said, "Sir, I can't sell this wine." >> You know, you can smell in his bed. I said, "I can't do this." He said, "Oh, probably because the way I'm talking to you." I said, "No, you could tell that." I'm sorry. Uh oh, okay. Uh, you know, I could tell he was drinking. I said, "No." I said, "You know, but you can't we can't sell it to you. you're intoxicated. >> Okay. As far as I was concerned, >> and so then what happens is he leaves and then he comes back just now. He came back and sure enough um she saw him come in and I was on I was on by the wine wine aisle with her and sure enough he's coming to the wine aisle but the minute he saw me he cut away. Um then he grabbed some food. He grabbed y some food. He grabbed some chips and next thing I know, he's hightailing for the bathroom. >> Got it. >> The officer now asks the victim the key question that could determine how the case moves forward. >> So, I knew right away something's up, he's going to probably try to steal. Not that I can guarantee, but he was >> At which point in time did he push you? Did he shove you? >> When I was when I was back on the back aisle, >> he actually went like that to me. He was >> Okay. Do you want to press charges? >> Not really. I think he was more or less drunk or whatever. But I got to ask, do you want to press charges for the battery? >> Should I just notice? >> It's up to you. You'd have to follow up proceedings, go to court, and all that stuff. >> He didn't he didn't really scare me or anything. So, >> okay. So, he didn't scare you. And you don't want to press charges for the battery? >> Press charges. >> Okay. But what we are going to do what we are going to do is we're going to go ahead and get him trespassed from the property. Okay. And um because he did cause a disturbance, my recommendation is that we do go ahead and arrest him just to get him out of here for the day for disorderly intoxication. Okay. Okay. He caused a disturbance. He's under the influence of alcohol. >> The language he was using. I was trying to get him to stop. I said, "Listen, these people do not have to hear you talking like >> and just the fact that it's it's it has been a reoccurring issue the last few days with him drinking >> because I don't >> not here, but just in in I had him this morning at the mobile on the run. >> Oh my god. >> That's why I'm like like so disorderly intox. He smells like alcohol. He's been drinking clearly causing a disturbance." So >> um >> so You sure you don't want to charge him for the battery? >> He really didn't hit me. He sort of just put his hand on me. I mean, I don't want to I don't want to, you know, >> that's fine. >> I mean, I know they would, but I don't want to go into >> Well, that's the thing. You got to kind of be willing to, you know, go through the proceedings and all that. So, >> after wrapping things up, officers explain to the suspect what comes next. >> Yes, sir. >> What's up, man? I was just trying to see if I knew who you were or not. >> Oh, I'm Bryce. I know. Eric Flowers. >> Okay. Are you >> Yeah, >> I'm not intoxicated, but I've been drinking. >> Gotcha. Where you Where you Where are you staying at? >> At >> a house. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. So you you so your plan is to stay here at Steuart. >> I can't. Yeah, cuz I got kicked out of uh my my property on the beach. >> Yes. >> Okay. Well, >> can't really have property on the beach, though. >> Dude, they'll arrest me. There's laws. >> Well, yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Hear me out. >> So, we're you're obviously going to jail right now. >> Really? Um, what we're trying to do is we're trying to figure out if there's anywhere if we can get you get you get you somewhere out of the county somewhere. All right. Somewhere somewhere of value to you that you could relocate. >> We just don't have many resources here in this county. >> We're limited with resources in this county and we'd like to get you somewhere where you could get >> I would love to relocate. And that's what we're asking. Where would you like to go? >> Parents where >> uh uh channel estates not. >> Okay. some cards. >> I'm I'm going to put I'm going to put my business card in your property. >> When you get released from jail, have the jail call me >> and we'll get we'll get that situated for you. >> That's cool. >> All right. >> Ultimately, he was charged with disorderly conduct and later released pending further court proceedings.
