For every customer who shops in peace, there's another who thinks rules don't apply to them. These are the moments those customers learned on camera that they weren't untouchable. Here are five cases when unhinged Walmart customers think they're untouchable. Endsley. Number five. Woman thought she could shoplift and then buy the items. It didn't work. On July 27th, 2025, officers were called to a Walmart after loss prevention spotted a woman concealing items and loading unpaid goods into her cart using what's known as skip scanning as an attempt not to get caught. Here's what management told the police when they arrived. >> That's good, sir. Good, sir. Thank you. >> Got Marie inside. She's got a basket full of stuff. >> Um, yeah. Has she checked out already? She's casting out right now. So, she she's about to walk out. So, okay. >> My guy's going to make contact with you. >> Okay. >> You guys are more than welcome to come in the office if >> Yeah. >> But we could just right now they're doing anything. >> Well, cuz they said they're going to make contact with her. >> No. When she comes out. >> That's what I'm saying. If they already saw her, she's got paper [ __ ] She's >> right here on 29. >> She's got a basket full of stuff. She had a bunch of She was in here for like 3 hours shopping. Okay. She had a bunch of clothes folded. Um, and so what she was doing was she she scanned the outside item, but there was like three or four folded in between. >> She had a bunch of uh dog food. >> Is she like a current or frequent uh shoplift? >> Yeah, I know. I know Kohl's has dealt with her a lot. That's who sent us her information. >> Okay. >> Um, she usually stages the carts and has other people come in and get it, but in this case, she did it all herself. >> Which way is she going to exit through? >> Hopefully this side. >> Hopefully this side, but we're going to see right now. trespassing. >> I don't know if she's trespass. >> What was her name? >> She wasn't in the system. >> Okay. >> Do you know how to spell her last name? >> Yes, sir. C. >> See? >> And do you know her date of birth? >> That I don't know. >> Yeah, she's >> As soon as the suspect pushed her cart through the main exit, the officers moved in. And just like that, her plan to slip away with unpaid items came to an abrupt end. Hello, Mary. >> Yeah, just follow us to the office over here. >> Why did you pay for it? >> Well, it's Yeah, it's too late now. [Music] >> If you guys want to go. >> Yeah, we'll get everything over here. Okay. Do you have any idea what >> you have any other items in your in your purse or anything like that that you didn't pay for? I think this fell in there. Do >> you have your ID? [Music] >> If you guys just want to do you have your receipt as well? >> That way you guys can see what she paid for and what she doing. All right. decide at any time to exercise his rights and not answering my questions or make any statements. You understand it, right? If you want to talk to >> So, yeah, right now you're not free to leave. You're basically under arrest for shoplifting. Um, so what happened? >> I don't know. I kind of just I just I kind of just always like separate them and stack them and I don't know. I I tried to stand but I probably did let some of them go through like on [Music] >> All right. >> So you basically just >> I paid for most of it but I know I probably just >> you didn't do >> Okay. Well, I mean that's why we're here. They saw you on the cameras. >> Everything comes down to the dollar amount. The higher the value, the heavier the consequences. >> Depending on the dollar amount. Um, we'll just give you a citation. If they want you trespass, we're going to have you trespassed. Um, like I said, depending on the dollar amount. If it's not a felony amount, we'll give you that citation. >> 500 500. >> 500 or more? >> Well, it's for the items that you didn't scan. >> Yeah. >> It's for the items that you didn't scan. So, as long as it's not 500 or more, we'll just cut you a citation and then um I'm sure they're going to want you trespass. So, we'll just have you trespass and you won't be allowed on any Walmart. Okay? >> And trust me, they're really good at what they do. That's all they do all day. Check cameras and people. So, if you decide to go to another Walmart, all this information is going to go to another Walmart. They're going to check you out there. They're going to see you there. And then after that, you will go to jail for >> just because we just advised you right now that you're not allowed at any Walmart here in Las Cruises. At least I know it's probably in El Paso, too. Is this What's your address? >> Can I give it? >> Yeah. What's the area code? >> Yeah. >> And then what's a good phone number for you? >> Yeah. Yeah, I'll get cuz to keep the stuff that I paid for and all that. >> Yeah, you'll get to keep what you paid for, just what you didn't pay for. Obviously, that's what you're going to be charged with because you shoplifting. >> Can I pay for it still? If I >> if you want to take it if they let you. I mean, >> I think after >> No. >> Yeah. So, I mean, >> you had a chance to [Music] 772. >> That's it. 1152. >> I mean I mean it is put it in. We don't take it. >> Uh not yet. We still have the dollar amount to see. >> As long as I'm not home. >> Yeah. I mean just cuz you've been cooperative. >> Because of her cooperation. The officer considers letting her off with a trespass incitation depending on the total. For a moment she seems relieved. What she doesn't realize is that everything still hinges on the store's itemized receipt. >> I'm not I'm not guarantee you that if you go shoplift at another store, the same thing's going to happen, right? Just with me. Uh just cuz you've been cooperative with me and whatnot, I'll cut you that citation. You still have to go to court for it, obviously. >> I appreciate it. >> Here you go. And then like I said, you're basically just uh banned from the Walmart here. Okay. So, you've been advised that you can't come to this Walmart or any Walmart here in Las Cusus. If you do come, obviously you're going to get arrested for trespassing. >> To everyone's surprise, the tally comes back over the felony amount, making the situation far more serious. >> It's okay. [Music] >> $558. >> Is that with text or without >> before Texas? 530. Yeah. So, I mean >> Yeah. >> So, unfortunately, you are going to be placed in handcuffs and taken to my unit. I don't know. Do you want to call somebody right now? >> Yeah. >> For to pick up your dog. That way, we don't turn it over to animal control. >> And I mean, >> there's no way like I could pay for some of it and >> how long will it take for them to get here? Cuz I mean, obviously, we can't >> Not very long. >> We can't wait that long. Do you want to get that started? Were you able to get a hold of it? >> Yeah, they're coming. Okay. What's the ETA? >> They're coming to the marketplace area. >> Are you going to want them to take all your property, too? >> You want to just take your ID and your phone or not even your ID? >> Um, not even my ID. >> Just your phone? >> Yeah. >> Okay, that's >> Oh, yeah. My bad. And then I sent him an email. I don't know if you guys could just upload that video. >> Yeah. >> Did you guys receive the email or no? I got >> Do you want the Can I see the money? That way I could count it. Don't know how much it's going to >> Yeah. Can I um >> Oh, I'm I'll still count it again. 103 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 26 70 >> Yeah. 103. And then that's your phone. >> Yeah. I'll take your finger. >> The dollar figure seals it. She's no longer walking away with just a citation. An officer's move to arrest her. >> And then if you just want to place a dog then >> No, he he >> Oh, he bites. >> If I hand you him to you, he will. >> You just have her. >> Can I hold him? >> Sit in the car. Like >> Do you know what the the ETA of the person that's coming is? Is that her? >> Uh, no. It's It's Ryan and Chad. They're the ones that are coming, but they're coming right now. Like, they're on their way. >> He's real protective. He's my little guard dog. So, that's why when the door open, you start to walk out. >> Okay, dude. >> How you doing, sir? >> It's okay, Papa. It's okay. >> You need an ID for me? >> No, it's fine. >> Hair, you're going to go with Chad, Papa. Okay. >> That one I can put around my shoulder. Take my phone. Take my phone. That way I could call when I get out. >> You want to just get a take a drink of water cuz we can't take the water. Should he promise or give it to you? >> Just take it with you so you can ask something, somebody to call when you get out. >> She had the money to pay yet chose to gamble on not getting caught. To make matters worse, staff already knew her as a repeat shoplifter. The suspect is already banned from one Walmart location and she just added another on her list. >> Um, one of your units is parked right here and they're trying to bring the carts in. It's probably It's probably I'll be I'll be on my way out. >> They delivered curts just a second ago. >> Like a minute ago, I was standing out there trying to knock on the other door out there. >> Okay. >> And the officer gave me >> Come here, baby. Give me kisses. >> Give me kisses. >> Could you please rephrase your question? >> Good boy. Okay. I love you. Good boy. >> Can I just get your supplements? I'll turn it. I'll turn it. >> I'm going to leave him really loose. Okay. You've been really cooperative. All right, I'll move my car right quick. >> Do you guys need anything else for me? >> Good. All right. >> The woman was later charged with felony shoplifting and trespassing. Number four, when being caught with the goods isn't enough to make the suspect tell the truth. On May 17th, 2025, officers were called to Walmart after loss prevention spotted a woman concealing items in her purse on camera. When the authorities moved in to confront her, the surprise on her face said it all. Hello. >> Hey, ma'am. So, right now you're just getting detained for shoplifting. Okay. >> Oh, no. I'm buying stuff. >> Okay. So, right now you're just being detained. You're not arrested or anything. So, as of now, you are >> But I'm trying to buy >> Do what? >> I'm buying some stuff. >> Are you buying super glue? >> Yeah, I'm buying some stuff >> in your purse. We got super glue rinse. >> I was going to buy it. >> Okay. And when you're going to buy it, do you normally put items in your purse? >> Well, sometime um like at they let you buy. >> We're 10:26 right now. >> Okay. >> So, >> but I haven't walked out the store yet. I'm feeling vi. >> So, what I'm going to tell you right now is as against the law, you can't conceal items within your purse because that is part of statute. So, as I as I said, right now you're right now you're detained. Yeah. With like a purse, like a like a a shopping bag that you buy from them. That's your purse. So, right now you're just detained. Okay. Until we can see video footage and from there they want to press charges, they can figure that out and you can talk with them about that. Okay. >> Can I talk? Can I talk to them? Because I I'll you know what I'm saying? Like >> we we'll review the video. >> Okay. But I want to buy the store. >> Okay. As of now, you're just detained. So, as long as you're cool with me, I don't plan on putting you in cuffs while you're detained. Just don't do anything crazy with me. Sounds good. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> So, put all that in this basket right here. Is there any other items? >> Yeah, I'll put >> You happen to have an ID on you at all? >> No. >> Not in your purse or anything? >> I'm saying you have a driver's license on you? No, >> she may be caught in the act, but that doesn't stop her from trying to deny it. The officers, however, see through the lies and take her in. >> Did you drive here? >> I had caught a ride, but I'm saying like when you go to Kroger's and Publix, you can put stuff in the bag >> in in a in a dedicated shopping bag that has been bought by them. It's a recyclable bag. That's your purse that has all your other personal items in it. >> It ain't nothing ain't nothing. It's empty. Ain't nothing in there but my phone and my money >> with your personal items, right? So your purse, your little phone, and then everything else in there. So with the statue, it is concealing items. >> But >> in that bag, >> I went, what's your >> All right, we're going to go ahead and head over there so you can talk to them and everything. Okay, >> walk with us. >> Hello. gentlemen just video real quick. >> Um so M is stating that you know obviously hey I'm going to buy these. Um I was just putting them in my purse uh so I go to check out. Um, so it's probably here to dispel any kind of confusion as to why this is shoplifting and, um, if you'd like to press charges, ma'am. >> Yeah. So, um, did y'all get everything out of the >> Yeah, there's like a dozen items that were in the purse. >> So, I mean, you have a cart. So, the cart is what the what's, you know, let's be real. I mean, honestly, you have a cart. That's what the cart is for, not your purse. You don't put the items in your purse. And if you were just doing that, why you you do it so secretly like that? That's not how people shop and get their >> That's not secretly. I'm right there on the island. >> Okay. Um well, yeah, I want to prosecute. So, we'll let the um the judge decide. That's fine. So, the judge may agree with you and the judge may say, "Hey, she was just putting it in her." >> Okay. But I'm saying I got I can pay for I was going to pay for the stuff. Like I wasn't going to walk out the store with this stuff. >> Okay. And you can tell the judge that. That's fine. >> But I'm telling you like I really don't. >> Store management is determined to press charges. Certain she'll try again if given the chance. This time though, there's no avoiding it. She'll be facing the consequences that come with her decision to steal. >> My child outside. Is your child in the car, Jody? >> Yeah. Like I was going to pay for it and I just pay for it. >> Jody, which car is he in here? She in We got a bigger issue now. Where's your What car? You said you were dropped off here. >> No, I had caught a ride. >> Is Do you have a child outside, ma'am? >> Yeah. Yeah. With my ride. I don't know if they >> Your child's with your ride. >> Yeah. I I didn't leave my child in a car by themselves. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> But I'm saying what's your name? Have you been caught up with before? >> I mean, yeah, but from here >> you said that she was bored from here. >> I didn't like your name. >> Yes. >> Give me your stuff. >> What? >> Give me your stuff. >> Come on. I'm saying [Music] >> Jody, come on. >> Wait, can I talk to her? >> You know, you're actually bar. You're not supposed to be here. Come on. >> Okay. The next thing. >> Jody. >> Ma'am. Okay. But I'm trying to talk. Can I >> You don't need to talk to her. This is our business. >> Okay. Okay. >> You're barred for this location. Come on. >> Okay. >> Jody, come on. >> Officer has the concealed. >> Stand up, please. >> Ring those up and get a receipt. I didn't know >> this is there you you violated the the trespass. So that's on them. They they they take you for that. That's what I mean. >> I'm saying now I miss I know. You know what I'm saying? Like what it look like, but I have the money to pay. >> Right. But you weren't supposed to be on the property to begin with. >> I thought they said um I was barred from OK. Well, you stole from them, too. So, you're bar from them, too. >> This incident only adds one more Walmart to the list of stores she can't return to. >> Got caught in both places. So, how >> come on? >> There's nothing else to talk about. >> I'm just down trying to see how long. >> Come on, sweetheart. >> We'll tell you. >> We'll tell you how long it is. >> We have it in the system. >> We have it on the system. How long your body has? >> We'll just do this out here that way ain't nobody else around. Okay. >> So, will I get out tonight? probably >> we'll take a look at your criminal history and everything and if you you know if they give you a bond within your right to >> this I will have a bond >> to I I'm not sure once you get to this jail you ask them we'll let you know as long as you cooperate we'll get you on the phone out of there okay >> just got borrowed from Walmart or >> actually [Music] oh tonight >> yeah huh Okay, >> we'll go this way cuz I'm riding with him and these two guys are riding in that car and we're going to transport you and go on this this side over here. >> Do you get a ride for? >> Yeah. For criminal trespass. Yeah. >> Do you know how long it's going to take? >> I mean, here in Athens, it's usually pretty quick. Like 24 hours or less. >> 24 hours. >> I mean, that's a day. I don't want to do a day. >> I don't want you to do a day either. >> I ain't going to get no bun when I get there. >> You should. You don't have any pockets, do you? >> Okay. You don't have anything on you that you don't want to take to the jail. >> H. >> So, what they charging me with? >> Um, criminal trespass due to the barring and uh shoplifting. Obviously, I don't know how many counts that you have, whether it be a misdemeanor or a felony. I think it's up to like four. You have to shoplift like four or five times before it's a felony. It's not that bad. >> Okay. So, it just be a misdemeanor shoplifting. >> Will you think I can buy this today? >> I should be able to. I don't know. It's already 9 9:30 at night. >> The woman was ultimately charged with retail theft and trespassing. Number three, delivery driver learns that a drunken store run leads straight to trouble. Our next case takes us to Hanover Township, New Jersey, where police responded to a Walmart after reports of a woman harassing staff after hours. Officers arrived to find the suspect still locked in an argument, this time with another customer who was already on her way home. This is what followed. >> How are you? Okay, come here. >> Do you have your keys? >> No. Come out with me. >> Wait, what's going on? She don't need the >> Don't touch her. >> Oh, please don't grab me. >> Baby, you don't have to. >> No, she's >> I thought she was in trouble. >> Oh, okay. >> She could not be on my window. >> Okay. >> And she got in my car. Like I thought she somebody was following her. >> So I let her in my car. >> Okay. >> She said they were looking for her something about Walmart. And I was like, >> "Okay." >> And and my my >> Are you okay? >> I'm good, but my my anxiety is >> I'm sure. Do you want me to get you an ambulance? >> No, I'm good. >> Okay, just >> I'm just very shaky. >> I know. I want you to sit down. You get McDonald's. >> Just get her out of the car for right now. >> Maybe step. >> Can you get out? Get out. You have to get out. You have to get out. You have to get out. Get out right now. >> Sorry. Get out. I didn't get out. Get out of the car. >> We're not going to play games. We're not going to play games cuz you're going to make this worse. >> Excuse me. You bagging me up. >> Excuse me. >> Don't. Seriously, don't get out. >> From the start, the scent of alcohol is obvious to officers, confirming she had no business driving in the first place. >> Get out of the car. >> Problem. >> I will tell you once you get out of this car. >> No, I don't have to get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. Yes, you do. >> No, I don't. >> Get out of the car. >> Excuse me. I don't >> You're arresting me. >> I'm not arresting you. Get out of the car. >> You're harassing me and I'm recording it. >> Get out. I didn't do nothing. Get out of the car. >> I did not do nothing. Excuse me. Stop. Put >> your hands behind your back. Put your hands on your back. >> Turn around. >> Stop. >> Turn around. Face the car. >> I didn't. >> Face the car. Let go of your phone. >> I did not do nothing. No. Excuse me. I did not. >> Again. Do you want to go on the ground? Do you want to go on the ground? >> I didn't do nothing. I have nothing. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. No, I didn't get on the ground. What's wrong with you? >> On the ground. >> Why are you treating me like that? Stomach. On your stomach. >> Why are you >> Get on the ground. >> Why are you treating me like that? >> Get on the ground. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Give me your hand. >> I didn't do nothing. You need to stop resisting. >> I didn't do nothing. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Flat on your stomach. Flat on your stomach. >> Why are you doing this to me? >> I got it. No way. Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this to me? >> No. I didn't do nothing. >> You have to tell her. >> Give me your arm. >> Give me your arm. >> I didn't do nothing. >> I have a kiss. >> Why you do this? >> Why you do this? Come on, husband. Come on, husband. I didn't do nothing. I didn't do nothing. What's wrong with you? >> I didn't do nothing. Why is you doing this? >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting, but you not telling me what I'm watching for. >> All right, >> all right. Here. Go. Go. Get it. Get it. >> I got >> Why are you Don't you Don't you didn't even tell me. >> Earlier, the officers were ready to talk things out. Had she cooperated, the night might have ended there. But in her drunken state, she only pushes for more trouble. >> Tell me when I'm getting >> Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> Why are you doing this? Tell me why are you doing this? I didn't do nothing. >> Why are you doing this? >> Why are you doing this? No. >> Excuse me. Why are you doing this? Stop. >> Because you're giving us a problem. >> Why are you doing >> You ain't even give me a >> Why are you doing that? >> Put her in the car. >> You didn't even tell me I got Hey, call my husband. Tell my I didn't even do nothing. Get in the car. >> Why? Why? Why? >> Sit down. >> Put your feet in. >> Why? >> Put your feet in. >> Why? Why? Tell me why >> in the car everything you turn. >> I didn't do nothing. >> I got her. I got her. Watch out for no reason. >> I didn't do nothing. >> Keep your feet in the car. In the car. I didn't do nothing. I got >> No, I can't be. >> Keep your legs in the car. >> I cannot be here. >> No. Get your foot in. Do not talk. >> You're going to get in more trouble if you don't keep your feet in the car. Keep your foot in. Sit down. Then why are you doing this to me? We will explain. >> Explain it to you. As soon as you start listening to us, we'll explain it to you. >> But you could have did that. >> Stay in the car. We've been trying. >> No, you did not. I am y'all. >> You're getting another. >> Keep your feet in. >> So this lady said she walked scratched into a ticket. >> Oh, but no, the issue is she just got in this lady's car. >> That's right. >> It's not her car. >> No, >> she immediately raised her hand and I walked up to her. >> With the suspect seated in the back of the police car, officers take the time to hear from a bystander who endured her harassment before they arrived. >> Are you okay here? My goal was to get her out of the car so you could have a seat before you have a panic attack. So, come on over here. Okay. Are you all right? If you need anything, I can get you an ambulance. Okay. >> Are you all right? >> Yeah. >> Have a seat in the car. >> I'm sorry that you had to just deal with that. >> Obviously nice of you to let someone in, but >> I thought I thought >> we were trying to figure out what's going on. I thought she I thought somebody was following her and she was in trouble so I get get in the car, you know, like I was trying to be nice and I didn't want somebody to like grab her or something and then she started talking about Walmart and oil and somebody called the cops on her and I was like, "Well, why are you wh why are you involving me in this?" So I'm like sitting here like shaking. Well, that's what we were trying every time you circled. I'm like, "Please, please, somebody come this way." Well, I'm glad you're okay. We're going to grab some info from you. Okay. >> Absolutely. >> Hey, Tim. >> Are these her friends? >> They just came out of McDonald's. >> Oh, okay. >> With backup now on the scene, the female officer takes a moment to brief her colleague on what's unfolded so far. >> Calling your husband right now. Can you listen to me? >> We roll up and he sees this car here and someone like lean the seat back. Quick. >> Are you going to listen to me? So, >> what's your name? >> I pull up here and this lady in the front seat has her hands up. So, I'm like, "What the?" So, I go to talk to her and she looks at me and she goes, "I don't know her." >> So, I was like, "Get out of the car." She gave me her keys. We got her out. >> Soon as she said that, I we went to grab her and she went bananas on us. >> Okay. So, what is she saying? >> So, supposedly she said she was sitting in her car. This lady came up here >> right there >> and said >> someone's following me. Okay. >> And she was like, "All right, we'll get in the car." Like thinking it's like a guy. And then she said she started talking about Walmart and was going like just talking nonsense >> and then she got scared and was like, "Oh my god." >> Mhm. >> So, >> did she get threatened? Like, is this the carjacking or >> No, I mean she didn't allow her in the car, but when she was told to get out of the car, she wouldn't get out. I know, but like when she got in the car, did she like, you know, brandish a weapon towards her? >> No. No. No threats. She was saying that she was being followed and that's why this lady let her in the car. >> Okay. >> If that makes sense. >> And then >> once we I asked her to step out, she wouldn't. Then we we had to like go in there and grab her and get her out. >> Okay. I talked to asset protection. She said she tried to walk in the store. She said she was a spark driver. 95. >> The caller called back advising that female got out of a white Range Rover should be in the second aisle in >> just now. >> Um, Travis, it smells like alcohol, too. uh 2306 we have female detainer. >> Do we have any ID on her? >> Nope. You don't want to give me your name. >> Investigators would confirm the driver's identity as 32year-old Amanda Coen employed by a third party delivery company. >> Why don't we get that plate and see what actually is going on? >> She uh >> I'll go drive over there. Anyway, she said she walked in the store, said she was a Spark driver, which is like a third party like delivery uh service. Okay. >> And she was like, "No, we're closed." So, she got a little mouth and she walked out and she said she reekaboo. She asked her, she's been drinking. She said she had one one shot, which obviously she said more than that. >> Um, >> you're good. Yeah, we should probably just keep an eye on her cuz >> she's very excited and >> um >> she was >> she's just going to yell and ask, >> huh? >> Over here. I grabbed all her info and >> you want to do uh >> a vine for >> a vine? Yeah. >> Yeah, we can. >> Sure. >> Hey, how you doing? >> Can you uh just I'm also done with Can you just come right back? in it video. >> Okay. 8981. I'm going to have 95 and 98 transport back. Starting to make a scene up here. >> Before transport, the female officer takes a final statement from one of the Walmart employees who dealt with the suspect firsthand. Did she like pry a door open or were they open? Cuz she came in 11:06. >> We had just closed the registers down a little after 11:00. Um but we leave the doors open cuz we still have associates. >> Yeah. >> But we had associates right here that told her that the store was closed. >> She walked past them. So they called me >> cuz hey, a lady came into the store said, "Well, illegal. She's somewhere in the store." What do you mean she's somewhere in the store? So as soon as I came out, she literally was in uh the aisle. I said, "Ma'am, we're closed." She's like, "Oh, um, are you the manager?" And I'm like, "Yeah, but the store is closed." Well, I'm a Spark driver. Okay. And the store is closed. >> How many different ways do I need to tell you? Um, but the more I engaged with her in conversation, I She rigged of alcohol. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And you know, she didn't do any no harm, no foul for Walmart is concerned. But I was concerned that she's telling me she's a smart driver, which means you're driving a car. >> You're driving. Yeah. >> And she's like, "Yeah, so what? I drank. I only had one shot." No. You smell like you were >> doing a little bit more than one shot. All right. But as far as like Walmart goes, she's not banned or anything. She's just Okay. >> No, I'm just concerned. Even though it's relatively quiet on the roads, but I'm going to drive home. >> Yeah. No, it's nowadays. Forget it. It's >> all she needs. Yeah. >> Cars and deers. >> Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. All right. >> Wanted to be a guy with this situation where, you know, oh, I should have said something and I didn't. When she walked in, did you notice if there's anything like besides a cell phone? Cuz I don't see keys. But >> no, >> she won't tell us if she had keys or what car she's driving. >> Yeah, we have her. >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. We have her. She tried to hide in someone's car. >> That's what I thought cuz I knew I didn't see her walk off. >> Yeah, we we have her. I mean, if you need to see video of her actually driving, if you feel she's intoxicated and that's enough evidence for y'all, >> uh, >> I will kind of up in the air. Yeah. All right. Uh, give me one second. >> Yeah, I'm here. >> The incident wraps up with the suspect being booked on multiple charges, including obstruction, trespassing, resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, and false imprisonment. Number two, when acting innocent isn't enough to escape a shoplifting arrest. On March 1st, 2025, officers were called to a local Walmart after a couple was allegedly caught shoplifting. They arrived just in time to see the suspects rolling out carts of merchandise. Here's the confrontation that followed. >> Hey guys, stop right here. Okay, let's walk back inside. Let's walk back inside. Okay, >> walk right back inside. account cuz like 3:15 we'll be out with you. >> We just got to verify something. Okay, we're going to walk over here to the corner. >> Did your card decline or something? >> No. >> Pay cash. >> You guys pay cash? Okay. Just just stay right stay right here. Okay. >> Are these the Okay. Do you have any weapons on you? >> No. >> Okay. >> Can I just make sure you don't have any weapons on you? >> Here's the receipt. I'll take this over here. Turn around. What do you got in here? Do you mind if I look? Don't reach. Don't worry about charger. Don't reach. >> All right. You got your wallet on you or anything? >> Can I have your ID? >> Can you pull it out for me? >> Where you guys from around here? >> I'm from Alg. >> Let's go to the LP office. Okay. I'll I'll I'll take the cart. Okay. >> Okay. So, you had your own handheld basket? >> Yeah. And then once it got like full cuz he was pull throw in it, then he just took basket and threw it in the cart. >> Okay. So, who put the the purse in in the carts? >> Would have been him and the basket. But like >> Was it in your basket first though? >> Deon, is there any thing from the store in your purse here? No. >> You mind if I just check? Don't reach. Don't reach. Do you mind if I check? >> I say, "Yeah, don't mind." I was going to say, >> do you want Can you just show me that there's nothing from >> I was going to say there's literally nothing in here. >> Why Why can't I check the rest of this purse? >> Cuz I mean, I just don't see the really need necessary. >> Well, I want to make I want If you're saying you didn't steal anything, the only way for me to prove that >> this is this is there. >> This is This is there. >> Yeah, but that's about that's it. >> Okay. I need to verify there's nothing else in there that belongs to the store. So, I need to search this first. That's what I'm saying. >> No, I'm telling you like I'm I'll give you everything that's in there. >> Okay. Can you show me? >> Yeah. >> The female suspect looks rattled as officers close in. And with consequences looming, she scrambles to come up with excuses. >> Here's this. >> I'm giving. >> This is from there, too. >> Yeah. But that's that's it. This is mine. >> Why was this in your purse? >> I had it in my hand with my wallet. >> So, did you pay for this? Okay. >> So, other than that, like I'm telling you, everything else that's in here is mine. [Music] Can you start pulling stuff out and putting it on here then? You're saying there's nothing else in there. See, this is mine. >> That's yours. This is not from Walmart. >> It's from Walmart, but it's the one on Walkgan. >> You paid for it >> in Walkan? Yeah. Okay. This this everything else is like cigarettes. More vapes. More vapes. Keys. They don't sell here. >> Like I said, ain't nothing else in here, though. I promise you. Like, >> can you open this up? >> Everything else that I bought is in there. >> That you bought? What's that right there? What's that? >> That's from >> Can you pull that out? >> Yeah. I was going to say that's from Waggan. I was at the Waggan Walmart yesterday with with a buddy. >> Same guy. >> And you purchased this. Do you have a receipt from this? >> Uh he should have the receipt. >> Stop reaching your purse. Take this out. I I'm not going to look into it, but stop reaching for take this out and just put it on the ground. >> Okay. I was going to say I promise you they sell the same thing at Walmart. I got that at the Walmart walk and I got the SIM card in the Walmart walk. >> Okay. How much did you pay for this? >> Yeah, it was like $59. >> $59? >> Yeah. >> Inside her purse is a stash of unpaid items. But when asked for proof of purchase, she has nothing to show. >> All right. So, walk me through what happened today. Who put what in the cart? >> Everything. So, everything that got put in a cart was I had a basket that had my stuff in it. that when the basket started getting overfilled, he put the basket in the cart. >> Like the handheld basket? >> Yeah, like the handheld basket. He dumped it in the cart. >> All right. And then did you Who paid for what? Who paid for what? >> We paid for it to set like together. So like I scanned all >> Okay. >> And then mine was $62 or something like that. And then he scanned all the rest of his stuff and it was $88. >> All right, Deon, be honest with me. Cuz they have cameras on each of those selfch checkckout registers. When we watch the video footage, am I going to see you skip scanning any product? Anything? I like you said I I everything I scanned I put on there and if I didn't want it I told him to take it off and I handed it to the guy. >> To which guy? >> The the one that was standing >> the worker. >> Yeah. He took every one of them. >> How did these end up in your purse? >> I was literally walking with my wallet like this. So like I had it like this. >> No, don't grab it. >> I'm No. I'm just saying like if I had it like this, I was walking like that. >> And you put these in your purse and >> Yeah. I put all of this like that. >> Why did I Where did you get this stuff? >> The makeup aisle. >> Okay. I wasn't even like I couldn't even feel it when I'm like sitting like this. >> Okay. >> We can't feel out of that. But I was going to say that's like five $6. >> Did you put this stuff in your purse with that stuff right after you picked it up off the aisle or when you were walking out? >> When I aisle >> in the aisle. Okay. >> I'm pretty sure. >> Can you stay here with Officer Wolver just for a second? >> What's that? >> If you go to the towel aisle right now, >> I guarantee you the package for that cord he was talking about in there. And is the cord he was concealing in your guys' cart? >> Uhhuh. I guarantee it because he threw something up in the pallet towel I own. He was like, "Oh, I don't want this anymore." And it looked like a box. >> So you saw him conceal? >> No, but I didn't think it was a I thought he just threw the box back and was like, "I don't want this anymore." He th >> So where did you where did you get this from? >> Walkgan. >> Walkan. How about this? >> Walk. >> Spoiler alert, she isn't being honest. An officer sees straight through it. Meanwhile, the male suspect isn't doing much better with his answers. >> And those two things that you gave to me earlier, you said you took it. >> What else did you take? Cuz Walmart's saying that you skip scan. >> They're pulling it up right now. They're saying you skip scan. >> What did I skip scan? >> That's what we're getting all that information now. I mean, at minimum, you took those two things. Not a big deal, but we got to go through all that stuff. So, hang out here with Officer Wre I'll be right back. Okay. Charles, right? Do you go by Charlie? >> Yeah, Charlie's fine. >> Charlie. Okay. >> I know you've been asked a lot of questions, but here's your opportunity to just be straight with us. Just let me know what happened today, who took what, and what exactly happened. >> Just the phone chargers, but I thought they were going to be already paid for. So, that might was by mistake. As far as everything else in the car, I was just a guy. I was just standing there. >> The phone chargers. >> Yeah. >> The packaged phone chargers or the unpackaged one? the package or the the ones that were in there. >> The loose ones. >> Yeah, >> I think that's them. >> Okay. So, how how did they come un loose? If they >> I open them cuz I was going to see if they fit the phone. >> When did you open them? >> In the store, but I thought she was going to take care of paying them. >> Okay. That doesn't really make sense to me if you're going to pay for Where's the Where's the package? If you un >> I just threw it cuz I'm lazy and didn't want to garage. >> I just put it on the shelf, but I thought she had another one so we could scan two. How do you think the store was going to figure out how much these were if you didn't have the package? >> Cuz I was going to I thought that I had another box in here. >> Okay. So, you're telling me you took off the package. Where did you hold these? >> Where were these at? >> They were in my pocket cuz I was checking them on my phone. >> Okay. Do you see how this looks looks to us? >> Yeah, I know. I'm take the package out. I will pay for it. You get back. >> Why did you put this Why did you put this in your in your pocket here? >> Cuz I thought it was already paid for. >> At what point did you put it in your pocket? >> When I was walking in the store. Cuz I thought >> Out or in? No, it was in the store. >> You were walking in the store and you concealed these in your pocket? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Despite the cameras capturing it all, he tries to play it cool, insisting it was just an oversight. Unfortunately for the male suspect, no excuse or lastminute offer to pay will change the reality of what's coming next. >> At any point, did you take these out of your pocket at the register? >> No, I thought the box was in here still cuz I thought I put one box in to scan two of them. Okay. But you threw but earlier you >> I did throw on the shelf cuz I was like I just want to be lazy. But all this other bottom I didn't know that that was not scanned. They said you could look at the scanner. I was just standing there. But I'll pay for whatever is not paid for. I didn't know the >> So we're a little bit past that point. Um and you guys are getting a total. >> Um so just to make sure I understand it right. You and Devon came in the store together. Who drove? >> Devon. >> Deon. Okay. Is her car out there? Yeah. Yeah. Is there anybody else out in the car? >> What type of car is it? >> What color? >> Gray. >> The license plate off here. >> No. >> Okay. So, you guys come to the store together. What are you trying to get? Like >> I just came here for my phone and I seen the jacket. I'm like, "Okay, I'll get the jacket." >> Are you guys going around the store together or are you guys just going separate ways? >> Uh, kind of like half and half. >> Half and half. Okay. Don't Don't answer that right now. I got to talk. >> Put it on me. >> You're fine. Okay. So, you're in the store. Who picked up these from the shelves? Who when they were boxed? Who? >> I did. >> You did? Yeah. >> Okay. And then you said you unpackaged both of them. >> Yeah. And I thought I throw a box in the truck in the cart. >> Okay. And you put the other box on the shelf somewhere. >> But I thought I threw one in the cart to >> And then these ended up inside your sweatshirt. >> Yeah. >> Correct. Okay. And you're claiming you thought she was going to pay for them. >> Yeah. Cuz like I said, I don't want to, you know, I come in here shop a lot, too. And I know I don't steal. >> Okay. Okay. And this is all the stuff that was not not paid for. >> The male suspect won't stop trying to explain it away, but at this point, officers aren't swayed. The arrest is inevitable. >> Okay. Who submitted payment into these into the uh selfch checkout? >> She did. I just gave her I gave her 80 bucks for what was mine. >> Okay. >> You know, we quick math thing. I gave her $88. You gave her $88 in cash. >> Yeah, it was 80 and then she put her cash in and it was still like 7 something 863 >> left. >> You guys both came into the store together. You're telling me you concealed these in your I know you're saying you just did you wanted to pay, but you concealed these in your jacket. Walmart has video footage and they're showing us that $91.86 worth of stuff was not paid for. Okay, so at this time you both are going to be placed under arrest for retail theft. We're going to go back to the police department, do some processing, and we'll figure it out from there. Okay, so I need you to turn around, put your hand hands behind your back. >> The case concluded with both suspects facing charges of retail theft. Number one, when a serial thief returns to old habits and gets caught again. On August 12th, 2024, officers in Lacy Township, New Jersey were called to Walmart after reports of a woman trying to leave with stolen items. By the time the authorities arrived, the female suspect was already in the security room. Here's the moment officers stepped in. >> We saw her hold these in her hand and then when she went down the seasonal, she actually put them down down her bra. Oh, so >> that's where we and then we just followed her through the sword. And then this is where she also gave up too, but we didn't see your concealed saw concealed. >> She removed it. She removed this out of her top and she peeled the label off and preconcealed it, too. >> Okay. >> Ma'am, do you have your driver's license on you? >> Yeah. >> All right. You have a total yet? >> Yeah. You got a receipt hand receipt? >> 16? No. No. 16. >> 60. Okay. Uh, repeat or anything? >> No. >> I was going to say what happens now. >> Your husband's what? >> What happens now? >> Uh, let me see your ID and we'll go from there. >> Okay. >> Is that old driver's license or you just have multiple driver? >> This is an old one. >> Which one did you give us? >> The real one. Well, they're all real, but one's older. The nonexpired one. >> It's the best driver's license picture I ever took. >> Got you. Can I see Can I see the the old one, too? >> This one's just ID. Yeah, but sure. >> Just an ID. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> What's your bad number? >> Uh 1171. >> Should be in my book. >> That was me uh yesterday. I don't know if you you just didn't recognize me. Guess you were your >> No. No. Yeah. Yeah. No. I I did. When you We put put the thing under your shirt. I >> While Walmart employees finalize the itemized list. The officer advises the suspect of her Miranda rightites. >> All sign real quick. Right. You have you have the right to make sign anything to say against you court law. You right to talk to lawyer. Have one with you during questioning. If you cannot afford the lawyer, have one with you. Uh won't be appointed. No cost to present you before doing question. You wish. You decide any time. Exercise rights. You may withdraw your waiver time either before drawing question. Do you understand the right side with you? >> Okay. Can I ask you a question? >> 242. >> Okay. Is that there is there accurate put stuff on shirt and it's sealed and stuff? >> Yes. >> I have to read this before I ask you any questions. >> So the um >> yeah you I mean some you guys get to >> No. Yeah. Yeah. >> All right. All right. So, as long as you don't have any warrants, >> um then you're going to be released from here and uh these guys are going to sign their own complaint for shoplifting instead of you taking number. All right. Yeah. >> Thanks. >> And then same address. And then you said don't worry about your date of birth. >> Just put a dash in it. Okay. Just type our same address. Sounds like we're in a club. Then when he gets a case number, he'll type that in. Then don't worry about that. And then um this all the same, but he said don't worry about the section that says live request. That has nothing to do with that for you. >> It says brief. Do you type like >> what happened? >> Uh the case history case history. Do you write like uh >> Yeah, just put uh >> observed concealer. >> No, no, that means that means nothing. Just I I would just put in there. Yes, saw that too. >> Uh shoplifter at Walmart. Just very brief. >> Okay. >> Uh you know items recovered case. >> Just put what do you want to write? >> I just put like shoplifting at Walmart, items recovered. you know, something like very >> The background check changed everything. The plan was to wait for the itemized list, but a background check identified the suspect as Holly Baker, and it wasn't long until the officers found out that she had an outstanding warrant. This left officers no choice but to act immediately. >> All righty. Uh, no bueno, Holly. So, you have a warrant out of Edison. What? >> For $1,000. >> What? >> We're going to confirm it. All right. >> I was That's got I was going to say that's got to be an old system because I You saw I just got this. >> That's confirmed >> because I had to pay out everything when I got my back. >> All right. Well, we'll see. Sometimes I make a mistake. >> 08. >> It has to be cuz I paid every I even have 2 53 of restoration of paying everything. I have all of it. >> Okay. >> 89 72 54. >> But I I need to get in touch with Michael and he's in here somewhere like >> 08. Put your purse right there. take me all the way to down to Edison and like you know >> this is like if you look at my license >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> I could not have gotten that license if I had not paid my fines. >> This is I don't know. >> We'll find out. >> I I know. So, and I have the receipts. >> How do I mess it up? Why is it here? >> Like seriously. Um even I haven't been in Edison in 20 years. >> Yeah. >> So, how you doing? >> She's an oldie, huh? >> Literally like >> and when I I had met my fiance and then I moved down here about >> almost 10 years ago. >> And she >> just $60.31 worth of items were taken. But compared to the warranty spacing, that number hardly matters. >> You don't have to dig to your purse right now. >> No. Hey, I don't even have my phone. I don't know what to do at this point because I have the receipts. Like I had to get everything >> to get my license uh you know, back restored. >> Well, I don't I'm not I don't I don't rush. So, once uh it's confirmed >> uh and we'll go from there. >> Okay. So I'm I'm sure >> this is what >> I don't know what Edison is going to do. More likely they're probably not going to drive all the way from Edison to Ly Township and they're going to Ror you. >> I don't know. >> And plus, like I said, I mean that I I bet you that warrant is from 2017. >> They'll go away. >> Oh, no. I know. But I I know the exact year because like >> I know when that's where when it happened like you know what I mean? It's a long time ago and I had to get my license here which has Bayville address you know and I've been to Berkeley Township you know >> so with the with the warrant um even though it's not >> confirmed yet I'm just going to place you under arrest for shoplifting. Okay. So, you can stand on up. >> Everything. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Um Um Can I to take my my heart medication? >> Nope. Not right now. You can wait. We'll take one. >> Okay. >> I don't know what's going on. >> I I literally >> And with that, the cups go on. So, what I'm do I double up myself to make it not so [Music] >> they confirmed it? >> Yes. >> Say Highland Park. Is that what I heard? >> What? That's what I think they said. >> Yeah. What? I I don't understand. I shouldn't have any warrants in any county. >> And then also in your bag. >> No. No. >> Two. Scroll down. >> Tiny little bit of Sailor Jerry in there. >> Put two of two. >> And then Chris, too. Put the date in. >> They got you the new one already. >> This is our first time doing it. >> I was just going to ask 12. >> It's not much different. >> No, no, no, no. Just a couple things. >> Little unnecessary numbers and everything that we can use anymore. It was from like an old system. >> Yeah. All right. You're good to print. >> Oh, no. You got to sign. >> Yeah. Whenever you get a case, we'll be done. >> Oh, thank you. We give it to him in a folder. It's not for this matter, but it will be. >> Yeah. Not even too long ago, I was in um a horrible car accident like maybe uh 6 months ago. >> Yeah. >> Oh, no. Longer. Eight months ago now. >> Now you got to print the pictures. But >> uh right on Silvin Lakes and Wawa. I'll email you the uh >> Yeah, the update for sure. >> Yeah. I'll tell him what's going on. >> All right. >> Okay. Yeah. Just just feel like um >> you know Holl's going to call you. She's arrested. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Just need a key. >> Oh, come back. >> Okay. All right. >> I'll just text it to you. >> All right. Thank you. >> All right. We walk this way. All right. We're going to make a a right. I think it is right here. Uh think so. You have my phone on me. I accident he makes me up and shops at first thing in the morning. >> Yeah, I will do it. All right. >> I don't understand what's going on. >> Do you understand what's going on? >> No, I mean >> with the warrant or the arrest or >> with the warrant. >> All right. Well, we'll take care of that. >> I like I I know for a fact I have all the >> Yeah. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to dump this. All right. Cuz I don't want this to spill the car. Right. >> It's fine. >> All right. Go hide. Hop in. Hop in there. I was going to say, um, I have to be very careful. Um, in that car accident I was telling you about, you screwed up my back and my neck and my knee. >> I got you. >> One step at a time. >> All right. Good. There you go. >> Thank you. >> All right. Thank you. Though the court find Holly just $333 for shoplifting, her wrap sheet stretches much longer. Back in 2014, she had an existing charge of shoplifting out of Edison Township. More recently, she also had simple assault and shoplifting charges in Berkeley Township. In the end, Holly's record was far from clean. What do you think? Did they get what they deserved?
