What's your name? I didn't commit a crime. >> Okay. So, you understand lying to a law enforcement officer? >> I didn't commit a crime. >> You're in there. What's your name? >> Cuz I can guarantee your name is not this name on this ID card. >> How do you know that? >> Because I can guarantee it. Okay. Cuz you're being evasive. Where do you live at? >> None of your business. >> Where do you live at? None of your business. >> Okay. What car did you drive to get here? >> None of your business. >> How did you get here? None of your business. It's going to be >> No, it's none of your business. >> So, can you do me a favor? That's fine. >> I didn't commit a crime. I did nothing wrong. I didn't do it. >> So, he refuses to tell me his name. He's here to get somebody's statements. >> He This is the idea he possessed and gave to them. >> What happened? >> Won't tell me where he lives at. I didn't make withdraw. >> Can you Ben? Can you Can you watch him for a second? >> Can I speak with my office? >> Oh, I know they aren't cuz I have I have a similar case. >> Yeah. >> The man's uncooperative behavior forces officers to turn to the bank staff instead. And what they reveal leaves little room for doubt. >> Water branch in Bridgefield. >> Yeah, >> that's how we had much out of him. >> Okay. >> And that's why we were expecting that they were going to hate our branch. Okay. >> Ryan Scopen is a local person. He lives in Meadows. >> So we know how he looks. He's more customer. And that's the statement. He's he's trying to get a statement. >> Yeah. So Brian Coen the post office notified us that his account was being sold online. So we switched his account numbers and everything on Friday. >> Okay. And now they're here trying to get the information I need. >> I I've got a case. Same thing. >> Yeah. >> Um I have a warrant for them because I wasn't able to get them, but it's the same thing. And I know the earbuds, they're communicating. So, >> yeah. And they're next door. >> They're next door. >> Dropped him off at >> Did you see what kind of car? >> Um no, but he came from Newton car. This is photo from the previous ranch. >> Did he get anything out of this? >> Um, he asked for the same but then left when he was questioned. >> Was the PD called on this? >> It was gone at the time. They could do anything. >> But the PD was called though. PD local PD came out. They said he was committed crime. >> She's on screen over security right now. >> The officers carefully review everything the bank has turned over and piece by piece the story begins to fall into place. He's communicating through earbuds and they believe the car may be over at New Town Care. >> Okay. >> So, I want to say um so this is him from the Ridgefield branch. >> He left prior to cops getting there. >> He's presenting. He's presenting this one of their customers who lives over in Meadows. >> Okay. >> Was had problems. They knew he was coming here. >> So, that's why they gave us he's been trying to get their bank statements and stuff like that. >> Okay. Ben has their his passport card. >> It's not him. >> ID fraudulent ID that he >> Oh, yeah. He's presenting a different name. He won't even tell me his name and address, but >> Okay. >> He is communicating with I similar case with somebody over in that parking lot. >> Okay. >> I don't know if you want to send somebody else over there. >> Yeah. Maybe Lonnie and I'll shoot over real quick. >> All right. You want to >> We have enough for Okay. >> We have enough. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Cool. >> Something right now that he's using his >> Airbuds. He hasn't. >> Oh, they're in right now. So, he's talking to them and getting information from them. >> Okay. >> So, guarantee he's probably from New York. The other guy. >> All right. They took off already, but >> knowing that we're here. >> Um they said maybe it may be a Hyundai. I don't know. But 45. >> Okay. >> So, >> yeah. Um maybe if >> we can do that if you want to stick around get whatever statements you need. >> Yeah. I'll let him know 45. I just worried about the camement. >> Yeah. So >> between the suspect's refusal to cooperate, the witness accounts, and mounting evidence, the officers know it's time to take the next step. >> Nothing. I have a consolution, right? >> And five. >> Four, five. Five. >> Enough. Stand up for what? >> What are we doing here? For what? What am I? Why am I under arrest? >> Fraudulent ID. Yeah, take it easy. It's >> in your pocket. In my pocket. A lot of your pocket. I'll take those. I'll take the earbuds. >> Got to come. >> Take the earbuds. >> I can't hear you. >> All right. Do you have a hearing? >> Yes. >> Is that what they're for? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Communicating with the people next door. >> What? >> All right. >> With the cuffs on, the suspect is led out of the building as officers prepare to transport him for processing. >> Yep. I'll be right back in to get a statement. >> Yep. >> Hey, Ben. Yep. >> Grab that for him. >> Yeah, I'm coming back in. >> Trash. >> I'm just outside. >> Hold on. Hold on. I'll get the door. There you go. Come down. All right. So, the easiest way to get in here is to face out and then sit down. You don't hit your head or not. There you go. Swing your legs. Your hands. Good. Look at the glass for me. >> Where were you going? >> Uh, New Town Police Department. >> Where is that? up on uh 191 South Main Street. >> So, he's communicating with them through this. >> All right. >> That's why I was like, get get those. Um I got to take a statement. >> All right. >> Um Scott's right there. >> Y Is there any wallet? >> I'm looking right now. Hold on a second. >> Before closing out the case, officers take a final look at what the suspect had on him, checking for anything they may have missed. All I got is a New York State EBT card. But maybe you can call them up and see who >> You have that other ID. >> That's That's fake ID. Oh, is >> it? >> That's my victim's ID. >> Oh, is it? Um, my car is locked. I need a bag. So, I I got to >> these. I don't know if these are still activated. This is how we >> This is how he's talking to people. And they're supposedly were in that parking lot. Scott, they supposedly >> Yeah, they supposedly were in that parking lot, but I don't know if they since left. They probably left when they sold the comp. >> Okay. What car was it? >> They said it was like a Hyundai or something. >> Okay. Uh, you want a statement? >> Oh, I can do You want to do that or you want me to do it? >> Whatever you want. >> You know what? Why don't you do the statement cuz I'll go in with him. >> I'll get you a bag. >> Ben. Hey, Ben. I'm coming in with you. So, >> Huh? >> Yeah. Yeah. As they hand off the case, the officers make sure to walk their teammates through the key details, including the fraud and the suspect's clumsy attempt to escape scrutiny. >> Um, the lady with the glasses, um, she, um, curly hair, short curly hair. Um, excuse me. >> Well, they knew he was coming. They tried hitting up Ridgefield and he left Ridgefield so he could get there. >> Oh, okay. >> So, what he was here, these I don't know if these are on operations, but that's always um he was trying to get bank statements from one of their their known customers under the assumed name of their fake. So, that's their real customer's name. That's not his name. And of course, he was being evasive with me when I rolled up. >> Yep. Stay back. The officers returned to get an official statement from bank staff and during the conversation they uncover a detail that takes them by surprise. >> Officer McGawan's going to come in and take a statement. Officer McGawan's going to come in and take a statement because I am going to go up to um >> let me give you the because last week we were notified that >> he um Mr. Scoven's information was compromised >> and from this person at the postal service. >> So he told us that his information was for sale because Brian's mail was taken out of his mailbox originally. They got a hold of it. They were trying to sell it. >> Okay. So Terry is our security officer. He said call him if you have any questions. He said to give you this email as well and those are the pictures cuz he was in Ridgefield before he was here >> today. >> Today they sent a bolo. Phoebe caught him. She was coming back from lunch and said there's the guy. >> So she gave us the time we needed to get a hold of you guys and everything. So it was a very good job. >> So thank you guys for coming so quickly. >> Okay. So those are the pictures. >> So I'm gonna grab a quick statement from you. So that's all right. >> Yep. That's perfect. All of us we all kind of work. >> Absolutely. >> I'll probably I'll just take one of you though. Are you the manager? >> Yeah. Okay. >> All right. I'll be at the PD. >> Good job, guys. >> Perfect. >> By the end of the investigation, the man was hit with several serious charges, including forgery, identity theft, criminal impersonation, attempting to steal money using false documents, and obstruction. Number three, mom thought no one would catch her scam until officers showed up at her door. This next case begins in April 2023 when officers pay a visit to a residence in search of a woman accused of committing fraud and receiving a large payout through false claims. Here's what happened when they finally tracked her down. >> Are you Destiny? >> We have a couple people here inquiry. >> I'm not the residential room. There's something going on. Is are you Destiny? >> Uh, no ma'am. >> Okay. Can I speak with Destiny, please? >> Can I ask what it's Casper? Quiet. May I ask what it's regarding, please? >> Are Are you Destiny? >> Can I inquire of like what it's for, and then I can make a consensus if you don't mind? >> I'm asking you if you're Destiny. Are you Destiny? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. Is Destiny here? >> No, ma'am. >> Huh? >> You're Destiny, right? Would you mind if I just made a quick phone call? >> A phone call to you. >> Listen, we just want to talk to you a little bit. It's kind of weird when you're holding the door like crack. >> Well, because they have the dogs and I just don't want >> That's why we're asking. I don't want to get bit by a dog. That's why >> just my comfort and like my just for my own >> I can hang out out here. We can hang out out here. She just wants to talk to you a little bit. >> Okay. Would you mind just for my own comfort and like this is not my home and I could step out for you all? >> It's just odd that on a on a Wednesday that this is happening and I don't know what's going on. Well, it's just we're working. We work weekday. So, >> no, I get it. I understand. >> Okay. I'm not we're not here for the homeowner. I'm here to speak with you. So, if we can step out for a second and we'll explain to you what is >> um just for my own safety or like do you all have a warrant or anything like that? >> I need you to answer me first. Are you Destiny Harris? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. I don't I don't believe what you're telling me. I know that you're destiny. So, I'm asking you to come outside for a second. Speak with us. >> Okay. Could you just give me one second, please, to grab my telephone? It's right behind the table. >> You leave the door open while you grab it and you can come and make the phone call out here. We'll let you make the phone call, but we do have to talk to you. If you leave the door open, we'll let you grab your phone. You can make the phone call out here. Is that okay? >> I'm comfortable with that. Is she Are you okay with that? >> Yeah. Can Can we leave the door? >> Yeah, absolutely. Do you have permission to come out? >> Okay. If just for context, it's my mom. Just >> And who's your mom? >> The moment she confirms her name, the officers move forward with the warrant and give her a preview of the legal trouble she's facing. >> Yes. >> So, she's not here. >> No, no, no. She's she's she's not here. She's she's at work. She can hear you. >> What is going on? >> I have no idea. >> Okay. So, there's a warrant for your arrest. Okay. >> Oh my gosh. So, that's what that's what we're here for. So, I would like to explain more to you and actually sit down and have a conversation with you. Um, but in the meantime, we do need to take you back with us. And because you have your mom on the phone, that's why I'm explaining this to you. >> Um, so that she knows what's going on also. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. Um, she won't tell you what the warrant's for. >> It's for fraud. It's for what? >> It's for fraud. But like I said, we'll go back and and sit down and actually I'll tell you. I'll let you >> Yeah, please. >> I'll explain all the charges. Exactly. >> Okay. >> But just because you have her on the phone, that's the only reason why I'm as much as I am with my mom. That's fine. >> Okay. Um can you give your phone to um somebody and then I'm going to call Jac and then I'll call uh I'll call uh Vinnie. I mean, not really. um uh Gary right now to see to get details from him. >> Um okay, I'm I'm in the middle. I need to tell my boss. I'm not telling my boss that obviously. >> Can she can she tell her boss that like >> I work for the federal government myself. So there's for me for my job security and my children. >> Are you working right now? >> Yeah, I'm in I'm in a meeting like right now. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So I'm going to give you that courtesy and we don't normally do that to do that. So, go ahead and make a phone call to your boss and let him know that >> you're going to be, I guess, out for the rest of the day at least. >> Let me call you. >> The moment she hears she's being charged with fraud, the suspect breaks down, clearly overwhelmed by the weight of what's ahead. >> What is going on? Do you have a context for like what's going on or like what's close? Cuz I don't want my children to like hear that. Yeah. >> Is anyone else here adultwise? >> Yeah. Yeah, they are. >> Dad. Dad is here. >> Okay. >> Just cuz we don't obviously want to leave the kids. >> No. Yeah, that's fine. >> I don't know how long I'm going to be here. >> She'll be able to Let me give her my phone number. >> Anybody without your attorney? >> I understand that, Mom, but I don't >> I mean, they're going to arrest you. >> I know that I can't go to jail, Mom. >> I understand. You have to go. I don't know what's going on, but you can't fight it. Yeah, you'll get another charge. >> I know that I can't call their >> I'm gonna call the attorney. You have to go with them. I mean, Del PD people, believe me. But you have to go with them. I'll call J. I'm going to call Barry to see what the charges are and we'll go from there. Okay. Just be calm, but you do not say anything until your attorney gets here. You are not to say not one thing. Do you understand? >> Yes, Mom. I understand. All right. I know you're worried about your job. >> Did you tell your job you had to get off? >> I just sent my boss a ping on Teams. >> Do you have your boss's number just in case I need to call her? Cuz I don't Well, you'll be able to call me. Don't worry. So, let me let me If you want to text me while you're there in front of them, your boss's number or something just in case. >> Mom, you cannot tell my VP that. >> I'm not going to tell her that. I'm I'm swarming with that. >> Okay. So, you've had a chance to reach out to the boss. >> I'm me still messaging him right now. >> Okay. And then, um, I'll have you leave your watch here so that you don't have to worry about that when we get there. >> Okay. And do you have any other jewelry or anything else that you want to be in there? >> Do you need Do you need to take your asthma pump? I don't know if you're allowed to have that in there, but >> I'm going to I'm going to grab >> Is it inhaler? >> Yeah, >> they'll let you have it. >> Okay, good. Yeah, the nurse just signs off. >> Even with serious charges on the table, the suspect seems more preoccupied with something entirely unrelated. >> Can I ask you like a ballpark question of how long do you think I'll be sitting in there? >> We don't know. If you're if there's a woman, you could be there. We don't know. But did the kids see the >> Yes, mom. They saw them. So, they're not stupid. They know what's going on. And I'm sure they can hear me through the window over there. tell Tyr to bring them in the room. >> I already put I already put them in the room. Mom, >> hold on. I can't. >> But they know they saw them at the door and I told Chloe to move. >> All right, let me I need to call their attorney. Just go with them. You're You're in good hands. Everyone's good. Um let me just call the attorney. Okay. And then um I'll reach out to Kim to see what's going on and I'll call Gary to make sure you're good. Okay. You have no idea what it's for, >> Mom? I have no idea. I wouldn't be sitting here right now. I'm literally driving around and walking the streets and going to Trader Joe's as if I'm a free person. >> The suspect's husband appears and the officers use the moment to remind her with care that it's time to prepare for what's coming. >> Um, I need to tell >> All right. She text me. I'm about to arrest her. >> Okay. Yeah, there's a warrant. >> Okay. So, um, obviously you got the kids and everything and I'm going to have her leave her stuff with you so that we don't have to >> you know how long she'll be in though like >> they have they have no idea. I asked >> Yeah, we don't make that determination. So, once she goes up to county um then >> what does that what does that mean? So when we take you we take you back to our police department just for processing and to do paperwork and then we'll take you up to county jail where they process >> y'all had like a time where she see judge anything >> I don't know it's going to be fine >> no it's not >> it's going to be fine >> I need to call my boss mom I have to go and I need to tell the kids goodbye real quick cuz they've already been standing out here for a while. >> Hey Jake, I have to log off. I have a family emergency and I'll probably need you to for the rest of the week. >> Okay, >> ballpark. Hope everything's fine. >> Thank you. I have to go like right now, so I can't even give you context, but I'm logging out for the day and if you could just like put UTO in for me so that I can at least, you know, get paid and whatnot. Um, but I I have to step away like now. >> Okay. All right. >> Thank you. >> Bye. >> Can I just say bye to my kids? >> Yeah. I mean, we don't really want you to go back in. >> So, that's the only thing. >> God, I don't I just don't I don't want them to I don't want that type of anxiety to sit with them. >> You want us to like step out and one of us stay with you and the kids can come out and just tell them that you got to come and talk to us at the station or something like that. That way, you don't have all four of us standing around when they come out and then go through. Wait, wait, wait. >> I'm good. >> You good with that? >> Yeah, I'm good with that. >> Thank you. >> Out of consideration for her situation, the officers give her a few moments to tend to personal matters before moving forward. >> I don't even know what to tell them. Like, what do people >> just tell them that you're coming back to talk to us about something >> for now? >> Okay. I mean, it could be tonight, you know. I I just don't know. So, I don't want to tell you it's going to be tomorrow when it's tonight. I don't want, you know, >> it's not even like I can say, "Oh, mommy has a work trip cuz I travel for work sometimes like DC and stuff." >> Yeah, I do this. >> Hello. How y'all >> doing? and relax. >> I'm going to have to head down there with them, talk about >> Yeah, it'll be fine. >> All right, I'll call you. All right. All right. I love you, honey. I'll see you later. >> Hello, big man. >> No, no, no. >> I'm going to let you walk down to the car so you don't cur. >> That's why I said we can go right between the cars over here. So, you're going to go in this car over here. In the end, the suspect was charged with an organized scheme to defraud an unemployment insurance fraud. Number two, woman used a fake ID, then played dumb when police called it out. On April 24th, 2024, officers were dispatched to a nightclub after staff reported a woman trying to enter the adult venue with a fake ID. Here's how the situation unfolds once they arrive. >> Hi, Which where's your car, Emma? >> Over there. >> Right here. >> Right here. in your stand. There you go. This the same printer that you had before. >> No, I don't have a printer. You go get your card. You doing 35? >> Yeah. >> Oh, you want to split the temperature? >> All right. Yep. Line your face though. >> Sorry. >> Sorry. >> I was one of you guys coming. Absolutely. Oh, they might. >> Hey, uh, Cavender. >> As they search the suspect, officers uncover what they were looking for all along. The fake ID that started it all. Lavender. >> You already sent it for approval. >> Oh, >> but >> I don't think it has to be approved to get signed off. >> Hold up. I have one in my >> on me. No, but I do have the fingerprint card. Who's >> that? >> That was found on >> Yeah, it was in her back pocket. Are we doing a >> Hey, don't look at me. >> Begging her for that. >> Yeah, it was in her back pocket. She went, "Oh, yeah, that's just all." >> Stop. Really? >> Oh, that's in her back pocket. >> Was that the only thing you needed? >> Yeah, we couldn't verify who she was. >> No, not the field, but this >> I was going to say she found it. >> Yeah. No, no, no. I'm the guy. The >> are we changing? >> We're telling her you're going to go to jail without your ID. Do you think she would know? >> Okay. >> Now she's >> Well, Blade should be happy. >> No, that's my car. >> Oh, >> yeah. >> I don't get rid. I just can't turn the car off. >> Question for you. Did you know your ID was in your back pocket the whole time? >> No. >> You didn't know? >> I had I had no idea. >> Okay, you understand it. That's all we needed, right? for you not to go to jail. >> My ID >> if you want to burst out the other one. Well, I'll do it real quick. Actually, if you would just copy and paste it, right? >> Pretty much uh I just need her. >> My ID is in my friend. >> Hold that. >> With a suspect on her way to jail, she makes a surprising rant to the officer and even tries to turn things around on them. >> Surprising? Yes, Miss Molly. >> Why am I handcuffed >> again? Cuz you're under arrest. >> No, no, no. But like why >> why >> why did I get a ticket? >> It's not a ticket. It's a misdemeanor. >> No, but like why do you give me a ticket? >> Cuz it's not a ticket. >> Like why? >> Because that's what the law states. It's a misdemeanor. >> I can't even go home. >> Well, there's still a chance. I hope. >> Why did I get picked out of everybody? >> You weren't the only one. There's lots of people. >> No. No. Why? Like I just want to go home. Would you start your shift today? >> Mhm. >> Did you think you'd be arresting like me? >> Well, I knew he'd be arresting college kids. Absolutely. >> Absolutely. Cuz unfortunately this is a problem, right? >> A big problem. >> A big problem. A ton of people are doing this and it's it's not okay. >> Do you feel sorrow? >> Sorrow? >> Well, I'm empathetic. Absolutely. >> You were in college once. >> I was. I would hope I'd be in college. I I think I need that for this job. >> In the end, the suspect was charged with attempted use of false identification. Number one, identity thief gets stopped, but the real surprise comes after. This next case begins on March 30th, 2025 when someone calls in to report a stolen wallet and suspicious charges on their credit card. Officers step in to figure out where the trail leads. >> You lost your wallet. >> It was my son's wallet. Yeah. At the mall. >> Was that today? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then you said the card was used. >> Yeah. My wife, she's here, too. But she she got a text from the from the bank, you know. I I don't know how they thought it was kind of fraud fraudulent. But anyway, um they sent her a message want to know if it was him or not using the card. I don't know how she replied to it or not, but since then, I have canceled the card. >> Okay. Um, but so he was in one of the like massage chairs I guess at the mall and he had put his wall between his legs probably cuz it's really fat and he doesn't want to carry it. But anyway, when he got up he walked away without it so somebody picked it up. >> Okay. >> So, and then we just noticed well he talked to an officer there and they gave him a little card with a number on it and stuff and then uh later on that's about 5:00 is when we got the thing saying they were trying to use it at Publix. his debit card. >> Okay. >> Did it go through? >> That I'm not sure about >> cuz he doesn't his wife, >> right? It still doesn't show that it it doesn't even show that it's pending. It shows the charges there. >> Mhm. >> Like it looks like to me that they charged $8.64 for something maybe to see if the card was going to work. >> And it went through. >> And it went through. >> Okay. >> And then the next one, it doesn't even give a post date yet or anything. Maybe I got it cancelled before. I I'm not really sure about that. It was just my wife's like, "Listen, if they try to use it, maybe they can if they got a time frame and a location, maybe they can do something about it, but >> okay, >> we're not really sure." So, >> okay. >> Once the officers explain the situation, they ask the family how they'd like to proceed, and the father's response isn't quite what they expect. >> Stupid question. You guys want to pursue charges for the uh fraudulent use of the debit card? Um, I mean, he had $140 in cash in his wallet, which not really thrilled that he was carrying that much cash, but uh, he just got a job. So, so the cash and then the $233 that he spent at the store, that's like a week and a half worth of work for him. He bustes tables. And, uh, so you're asking, do we want to press charges >> for the fraudulent use of the debit card? >> Yeah. For the debit card. I mean, if you knew who it was and you had him or whatever, I think we probably have to be investigated, >> right? That's what I'm saying. I mean, if if you guys investigated it and did that, I I mean, I think we would. >> Well, as of right now, >> you want to pursue charges cuz here's the way. Like, the reason I'm asking is because >> I'm just going to step back cuz the sun's in my hand. >> Get comfy, man. Do you. So, the reason I asked is because if you don't want to pursue charges, we don't want to waste man hours looking for someone that you don't want to go to jail. >> Hey, grab grab your mom, will you? >> So, that's why I'm asking. If you do want to pursue charges, sure. We'll we'll investigate this to the ends of the earth. We're trying to find them. >> Let me let me just grab I'll grab her and she can get her two cents in, too. But, I mean, it wasn't like a whole lot of money. >> Mhm. >> But to him, it is because >> you know, he doesn't >> He worked for >> Yeah. But he just he's learning the hard way, you know. >> Yeah. >> Not everybody out there's honest. >> Yeah. >> So, in regards to the wallet itself, >> he lost it. >> Yeah. He >> the fact that someone picked it up. >> Yes. >> So, really there's I debit cards to do with the cash. Um that's hearsay. How much was in there? >> Yeah. So, but the debit card issue someone trying to use that. >> Hi guys. >> Howdy. So, they're basically asking, yeah, if if we would like to pursue charges on the people that use their debit card. >> Um, I mean, I would say, yeah, they're fraudulently using his card. So, >> the family agrees on how they want to move forward, but they also raise new concerns about the ripple effects this could have on them. >> Okay. They just don't want to waste man hours if we're not going to see it through, >> right? Cuz if you don't want to pursue charges, then >> I mean, I don't like that they have his driver's license, too. They know where we live. whoever did this. So, yeah. >> Gotcha. >> Yeah. >> So, >> so I I guess I would say yes to $233. But >> days after the initial report, officers finally spot the suspect driving. And this time, they're ready to confront her. >> A test run. Hello. How you doing? >> I'm Detective Dank with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. Okay. Um, we got an active investigation going on with you. On top of the fact that you're driving with a learner's permit without someone else in the car with you, right? You got to have someone without a license over 21. Hey, I'm talking with you. You got to pay attention to me. What we're talking about is pretty important. Okay. Um, that being said, it's super dangerous for me right here on the side of the road and for you being here. here. We're going to have you step out and talk on the side. You already know. >> Okay. Hey, you need to step out. I'm giving you a law order to step out of this car. If you don't, you're going to be arrested for resisting. >> Go step by the front of that patrol car. >> I'm escorting me. I don't want you to get hit by a car. I know. right over here. >> Right. This is going to go down. >> Yeah. I don't know what's going on with you. They these guys are super genuine and cooperative all the time. And for some reason, I know that you just want to sit on your phone and not talk to us. Even though this is >> I understand that, but this is pretty important. >> My daughter's in. >> All righty. So, you're detained for a criminal investigation at this point in time. Okay. Right. All right, I'll talk to you about the case if you're all right with that. You want to have a conversation about why you're in handcuffs today? >> The moment she hears the allegation, her reaction comes off as evasive, just enough to make officers even more suspicious. >> What criminal investigation? >> Oh, you want to be taken straight to jail? >> I would like to talk. >> A fraud. We can figure this out. >> For what? >> Well, you if I talk to you, it's going to be at our office and we can have a conversation about it there. Other than that, if you don't want to talk, we're going straight to jail. >> I'm fine talking, but I would like to. >> All right. We'll get to we'll talk to you about it. It's a fraud. I have reason to believe you're involved in a fraud. Okay. And with that being said, I'd like to talk to you about it, but it's going to be in a controlled environment at the sheriff's office instead of in the heat out here in this dangerous area. >> Okay. >> Sounds like a plan. >> Yeah. >> This is my thought process here. Hear me out. She doesn't have the credit card on her in her person, right? I mean, >> do we know if she doesn't? She >> I don't know. I can ask I don't want to talk about it till we get in the room. >> Okay. >> So, >> you just want to tell this to impound is what you want? >> We could. Yeah, we could. It could be in the car. >> Could be. >> So, I would say we just tow it to impound. >> Tow the car to our impound. Yeah, I think so, too. The only thing that's in there that they might need is a uh car seat for a baby, which grandmother's supposedly on her way here. So, I don't know if you want grandma to come take that out just so that she has a car seat and be done with it and then we tow it to the room. >> I agree. That sounds fine with me. >> Sounds good. >> Yeah. And then we'll tape the doors up. >> Uh we're not sure if the credit card's in here or not, >> but we have enough. >> She said she doesn't She said she doesn't have a wallet, but the credit card could be in here. Yeah, she only had her phone. She tossed a phone down. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> We're going to see if we're going to impound this or not because that Okay. >> Okay, then. That's good. >> Wait to come get the kids cuz that there was a stolen credit card. It might be in the car. So, she's involved with that. She used a person's credit card that >> So, we're good. >> Wasn't hers. While being transported, the suspect lashes out with a sudden rant, shifting blame and trying to make the officers the problem. Julie, >> yeah, it must be. >> All righty. Hey, that car seat in the back of the car, this this truck's going to end up getting towed. >> Can you take the car seat out, please? >> That's what I was going to ask you if that's okay with you. So, I can make sure your daughter has I forgot. Was it a daughter? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. I wanted to make sure um she has something safe to ride in. All right. So, if that's okay with you, I'll take the car seat out for you and I can give that to Is this grandma? Okay. All right. That's the plan. >> How long is it going to be? >> Our conversation. I I couldn't tell you. We'll just figure it out together. I got to show you a couple things, talk to you about it. We'll sit down. It's nothing scary or spooky. I just This is not like a controlled environment that we like to do. I'd much rather you be in the AC and not I'm me and you and it's just a lot easier than >> I'm just asking cuz I'm at work right now. I'm clocked out on break. >> Okay. Well, it's going to be like me an hour, >> right? But the work will figure it out. I'll give him a call personally and let him know why you're even not at work. But he I'm running the business cuz they're out of town right now. >> Okay. All right. Well, give us a couple. Okay. >> The suspect was later charged with ID fraud and petty theft. Well, that was something. Let me know what you think in the comments. And until next time, stay safe out
