From fake documents to shady stories, these scammers gave it their all. But it wasn't enough. Here are five cases when cops catch scammers in the act. Number five, woman uses stolen credit card gets caught fast. On November 11th, 2024, Tampa police responded to a report from staff at a Louis Vuitton boutique after a woman attempted to purchase a $3,800 bag using a card that wasn't hers. When the transaction failed, she quickly left, but the staff, suspecting fraud, notified the police. After verifying the card details, the officers confirmed it was indeed a stolen card. Here's what happened next. You mind if I talk to you guys for a second? >> Sure. >> You mind if I talk to you guys? >> Yeah. >> So, here, let's get out of the way here. >> So, earlier, were you here and made a purchase on a credit card on American or tried to make a purchase? >> No. >> No. >> You weren't just here a little while ago and tried to make one and it got declined? >> No. >> So, not you? >> Are you sure? Where you at but fourth here? >> I just got here. Not too long ago meeting up my man. >> Gotcha. Gotcha. So just a little while ago, you weren't just in there tried to make a purchase for $3,000. It got declined. You walked out and then he joined you while you were standing over here. >> Like you've been right next to >> Yeah, but I've known him for a while. I don't know. What are you trying to get? >> Okay, so they just had a purchase here. Okay. >> Wow. >> Not Not just >> I get a little Sorry. >> I get it. That's Well, I'm trying to explain it to you, but you just interrupted. I was the first time I spoke in such a way, >> right? You just asked me for what was it getting to and I was trying to explain this the situation and then you interrupted me. So I'll wait. Right. Right. So that was what I was trying to get to. Okay. So just a little while ago there was a purchase that was made here at Louis Vuitton. Okay. It was used with a card and then it got declined. Okay. And so what they just told me was it was you that made the purchase and then you exited the store. Stood over here >> looking at her bag. >> Yeah. looking at the bag. >> I came back. I met my man. Came back. >> Right. Right. Right. So, >> that's what I'm was getting to, right? You just said a little while ago you it was you >> I was here looking at a bag. I wasn't walking around. >> And did you use a American Express or airlines card? Advantage card? >> No. >> No, you did not. >> No, I didn't. >> Okay. Do you have your ID with you? >> What is this for? I'm confused. >> Because the the card that was used in that transaction was stolen. >> Oh, no. I don't have a card. I don't have my ID. I literally just came here to meet him. >> The woman identified as Valerie Sahai is accused of trying to buy a $3,870 bag with a stolen card. But when confronted, she denies ever making the purchase. Something the officer clearly doesn't believe. >> So, were you here before, again, to back to that other question, were you here with when he was not here? >> Yeah, I was in here walking around. I looked at a bag and that was it. And then I left and I met him. >> So during that transaction there, like I was saying, that bag you tried to purchase. >> No, >> you did not try to purchase it and you did never hand it. So the cameras the cameras there and the transaction was not. Is that not true? >> Cuz I want you to please be completely honest with me cuz it's not a big deal. >> No. I tried to use my card, but I did not get it. >> Okay. So now we're getting more of the story here, right? You see what I'm saying? >> Okay. So just a minute ago, you're giving me like three different stories. Okay, >> three different stories. I walked in, I was looking at >> cuz before this, remember my first interaction with you when I first asked you, did you come here earlier? You told me no. That you came here with just him. >> I didn't come here >> and then you and then you kind of added information saying that you were then looking at a purse. >> Right. He had a bag. >> Okay. Gotcha. And then you told me that you did not make a transaction. And now, hold on. Hold on. Let me finish. Then you told me that you did not make a transaction at all. But then now you just told me that you just used your card. >> All right. So we're getting So let's get back to the real story. Okay. >> What's going on now? >> I just told you the card that you tried to make a transaction cuz I want I'm just going to be completely honest with you. Okay. >> My card. >> No, the card that you tried to make a purchase. >> I only have my card. So >> Okay. Do you have your ID with you? >> No, I don't. >> All right. That's >> So you have nothing with your name on it inside your purse? >> I have my card. Yes. >> Okay. Can you take it out for me? >> Valerie may think she can talk her way out, but what she doesn't know is that surveillance and transaction records already tell a different story. The officer is just waiting to see how long she'll keep denying it. You have any other cards inside of there? No. >> So when they look back and try to see that the purchase that you tried to make earlier, will it say this card on? >> It should. It didn't go through. So >> So will it? Well, it's going to It registers, right? So everything that that you do, all the transactions are obviously kept in the computer system. I'm sorry if I'm boring you there. >> No, I'm just I >> Okay. So is this going to be the card? I'm going to ask you one time. >> Okay. And honestly, I'm honestly honestly will probably get you a long ways, right? Because we've already got a little bit tripped up in the truth. >> I'm telling you, I just don't understand what is happening right now. >> So, the like I told you before. >> All right. I want you to be >> completely honest. So, there's about 400 cameras throughout this this mall, right? >> Okay. In Nordstrom, there's cameras. >> Okay. >> Right. You know what happened in Nordstrom? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. So, there's cameras all throughout Louis Vuitton as well. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. And when you present a card, >> right, >> when you try to make a transaction, it is logged. >> Is log what? >> Log O G E D. >> Correct. Yes. >> Okay. So, did when you tried to make that purchase for that bag, >> is this going to be the card that is registered in the system? >> Yes. That's the only card that I have. >> Okay. >> I don't understand. >> And is this your name that is on here? Yes, that is my name. >> What's your date of birth? >> All right. So, since we kind of established Louis Vuitton >> at Nordstrom, did you go into Nordstrom today? >> No, I didn't. >> You never went into Nordstrom today? >> I walked through there. Yeah. >> So, again, my question, did you go through? Yes, I did. I walked >> Did you try to make a purchase or did you make a purchase in Nordstrom? >> No, >> you did not. Valerie continues to insist she knows nothing about the stolen [music] card, but the more she talks in circles, the more suspicious she looks. Driving over here for about an hour, I told Valerie to meet me in Nordstro and she said, "Go to Nean Marcus and that's where I went." So again, so I explain the story. Someone's card was stolen. Okay. You get a uh the person who the card belongs to gets notification from Nordstrom. All right. That a purchase was made for $1,000. A little over $1,000. Okay. Ne sorry, Louis Vuitton gets uh the person, she gets a not another notification that someone is using her card at Louis Vuitton for about $3,000 for a bath. Okay. Like I said, there's cameras all over this mall. Every inch of this mall is is is monitored by the camera surveillance system. Okay. Louis Vuitton, the person who the the card belongs to, she gets to Louis Vuitton just a little while ago, alerts them with what's going on. Okay. Obviously, they're able to backtrack and log see every transaction and purchase that is made. Okay. So, young lady here, there is um who they identify. There's only one decline transaction today for that same amount and it matches the card number that it was used for that transaction matches the victim's uh stolen credit card. Okay. And unfortunately they identified you as being the person who used that card during that transaction. And during that transaction, she said they they were saying that she said that told them that her name was Laura, who is the card owner. >> According to the officer, Valerie's spree started [music] at Nordstrom, where she successfully used the stolen card for a $1,000 purchase. Then came the attempt at Louis Vuitton, which failed. After that, she circled back to Nordstrom to meet with her partner before heading back to the Louis Vuitton store where her partner bought the bag she initially tried to purchase [music] using the stolen card. >> So, and after she hold on one sec, let me let me just finish this one sec. So, after she le, you know, makes the the transaction, she comes out of the store, stands over here, and then that's when you come and join her. >> That's not true. That's not what happened. >> That wasn't true. I literally >> So that was that was earlier and then you guys go back inside. >> That's not what happened. >> Okay. >> So >> So I met her at Marcus about 20 minutes ago. >> Yep. >> Maybe 30. >> So you just said that I met her here. I didn't. >> Well, did you Well, before again, >> she said she was in there probably earlier today. >> I wasn't in there. >> That's That's exactly what I'm saying. She was in there by herself and at some point she exited and then she returns with you. When was when was she supposed to be there? >> That that the exact time I don't know the exact >> but again that that that kind of >> Well, that kind Well, how do they know that she >> I don't know whether or not there's a conflict. >> Well, there is no conflict because it kind of it matches exactly what what they were saying. She was in there by hold on. She was in there by herself looking at a bag, which is exactly what she says, right? She says and then she kind of changes the story. She didn't. She first she says she didn't make a transaction. Then she says she did make a try to make a transaction, but it was declined. All right. Then she leaves out and you guys come back again with you, which is exactly what they said. >> Okay. So, you just said you guys come back. You want to correct that? >> Well, you I should say she comes back with you. So, you weren't you weren't a part of the the original thing at all whatsoever. So, you you weren't a part of it whatsoever. But, it gets to my you know, and the stories match up. She was in there by herself trying to make a transaction using the victim's stolen car and then you come with her when she leaves out. She bit you. Whatever happens, you guys meet up, whatever. Y'all go back inside or you go inside with her at that time. So, you have no involvement in it whatsoever. >> All right. So, yeah, we'll get that very patient speak and I'm afraid because you accused me of interrupting you. So, let me know when you're ready. >> Go ahead. Whenever you're ready to talk. The officer picks up on the man's willingness to open up. So, he takes a step back and lets him explain his side to the story. >> So, I met her someplace else and it took us about 20 minutes to get in there. >> Right. >> Right. You keep saying that I was either we or us. And so, that's not really what So, what you're saying is she went in there as Laura and she used somebody else's card and she used it downstairs at Nordstro. >> Downstairs or upstairs? Where's everyone? Okay. She used this that card also as Laura over at Nordstrom's >> that that I'm not too worried. Right now, we're worried about the Louis Vuitton. So, it's two different incidents here. Two different incidents. >> Okay. So, then I go in there and she's been kind of hitting on me to get a bag for a little while. So, then she's giving me this I going to give her a bag. And the reason why I said because I'm totally against spending this much money a bag. So, she talks me into it and I do it. So now that's just because of my own principles. I never spent this much money in a bag or whatever. So I go and I buy the bag. It has nothing to do with the previous stuff and I can't really tell. Are you saying that she was alone and she was popping in and doing all these things? >> Yeah. Yeah. So once again, yes. So earlier today she was by herself again. She was by herself. >> Earlier today in here like 10 minutes in front of >> I wanted to do that. >> So earlier earlier today, what time? Don't know. Not of an issue, right? She was in issue to me because I know where her time is. >> Well, she just by her What is the big issue? Like what are you trying to defute? Because by her by her own Hold on. By her own by her own admission. She said she was in there by her. Okay. Actually, you don't even need to be here actually. So, you can go ahead and leave. You don't need I mean there's no point in me even talking to you cuz you were not a part of this whatsoever. Just like you you wanted me to clarify with the we So, you are you are not involved in this whatsoever. My issue is with her. All right. >> Okay. >> So, right now you're being detained. All right. For an investigation. Okay. That's what's happening right now. So, right now you're not free to leave at whatsoever. Okay. >> All right. >> Why? >> Cuz I, like I said, I'm conducting an investigation. >> I don't. >> The officer isn't waiting on Valerie's word anymore. He has what he needs to proceed. But first, he makes sure to get additional information from the store before leaving the scene. You are How about this? Do you just have the cameras that I can see like the the add her at the register or anything like that? >> I do. Here's here's the issue is technically standard operating procedure for this. >> Yep. >> Is that I have to we have to have a subpoena in order for me to give this information. >> Gotcha. >> So I I don't want to get it so far out of the lines. Now I I get in trouble on my side and open us up to some kind of litigation from their side. >> Um cuz you never know. So >> I saw it on the cameras. Okay. >> Um and I can provide that to you upon request request. Okay. >> Um and I can give you the information of the individual that you'll need to reach out to to get that. But I can attest was running it that she came in alone without this guy. >> Do you know what time that was? >> I can get you a time stamp. Let me give you a time stamp. And she's up. So, >> say it again. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's just fine. It's fine. As long as you don't argue. Why is he trying to Why you trying to stand there getting business? >> I know. You don't You don't know. >> You You know what the situation is in the straight club and he in here trying to impress her. She sticking. >> Yep. Well, at least a lady who's um over there is being is being, you know, patient, right? >> Cuz this is a fiasco over here. >> But you handling it good though. That's all I got to say. You got to get tempered for that. I told him to step off long time ago. Like I'm not talking. >> Yeah. That's what you know sometimes. But it's >> I know. I know. >> You already know. >> You make a big you making a big deal about it. Ain't about you, bro. Just ladies. real. >> We can make it about you at the end of the day if you want to be, but I don't think you want to be wrapped up like that. >> I know Morrison has a good video. In the ship leader at 3:37 >> 337. >> Now that everything's in order, the officer heads back to Valerie. It's time to take her into custody and walk her out of the complex [music] in cups, >> which I I get it. >> So, >> which I just to be honest, I just I just read looked at the video. >> Dude, you keep talking. >> I'm going to need That's fine. I'll keep talking. >> All righty, ma'am. We're gonna go out to my police car, okay? >> Cuz you're under arrest right now. So, go out. Otherwise, I'm asking you to listen. Listen. >> Don't ask me, bro. >> All right. Turn around cuz I tried to do this. >> Why do you have to be >> I tried to be I tried. >> I'm not resisting. Why are you hurting my arm so bad though? >> For what, though? >> Turn around. Put your hand behind your back. >> Okay. But I tried to be nice and just have you walk outside on your own so that way you don't have to be look look crazy with >> I was going to ask you a question >> with handcuffs on. But since you want to do this, >> but I'm not resisting. Why are you >> Nobody said you were resisting. >> But why are you being so mean? I'm just trying to find out what's going on. Where's the proof that I did this? >> I just watched the video >> and it showed her card. >> Yep. >> How can you see that? I don't have her car. You probably don't have it anymore. Although >> I never had it. >> Like why do you have to do all this? >> All right, let's walk. >> But why? >> I didn't do anything. >> I'm so sorry. >> You're so sorry for what? >> Crazy. >> I know. >> So now what? What's going to happen? >> What do you think is going to happen? >> I don't know. I just want to know. I've never been in this situation. Well, it's a time for a first, huh? >> But I just want to know where's the truth. I didn't do anything. >> Can you tell me, please? Is it not okay for you to tell me? >> You can't tell me what the process is. >> We'll talk when we get outside. After a long walk to the cruiser, Valerie is finally seated inside. With her paperwork [music] handled, the officer turns his attention back to her. All right. So, like I was saying, right? So, obviously, first I come to you, right, very nicely, right? Ask you just questions of what happened, stuff like that. First, you told me that you weren't in Louis Vuitton earlier, and then you told me, okay, maybe you were there. And then you told me um what did you tell me? That you didn't make a purchase there. Then you finally came and said that you did make a purchase and then it changed to you. Okay, you use your card and all that stuff, right? So, let me tell you this. I've been doing this for a long time, right? Over almost 10 years, right? So, it's not my first rodeo. It's not the biggest crime of the century, right? It's still a felony crime, right? [snorts] Obviously, I'm not there just because I just want to come over here, right? >> I obviously know what happens, right? Like I told you, there's cameras everywhere. Everything is logged. So, I'm We're not I'm not stupid, dumb, or slow. Right. >> I'm pretty good at what I do. >> Right. So, I've already told you what you did cuz I saw it with my own eyes on camera. >> Right. So, I'm not naive or stupid. So, please don't try to challenge my intelligence, right? Cuz I know what happened, right? You walked inside, you used you picked up the bag, you went to the little counter thing, you inserted a card into the little mobile chip thing, right? You told the lady that your name was Laura, yada yada yada. The card gets declined, right? Not stupid, right? Not crazy. You also went to Nordstrom, purchased things from Nordstrom for $1,15.88 to know the exact number, right? Cuz why? Cuz I already know, right? So, what I'm going to do, I'm just going to read you your rights, right? Obviously, we're trying to go we're going to start over a little bit, right? Because when we go to court, we don't want camera footage to show you how many lies that you told throughout the thing, right? Because all like I said, honestly, probably go the the better, you know, your better route. >> He makes it clear that this is her chance to come clean. Then with her rights read, the officer begins the next round of questioning. >> Um, so I'm going to read you your rights and we're just going to completely start over and I'm going to ask you questions again. Hopefully, you'll just be honest with me this time. Like I said, I already know what happened. But it's up to you what you want to do. You already gave me a statement which was all lies, right? So, I'm going to ask you another I'm going to read you your rights, ask you again. And if you want to be honest, it's up to you. If you want to make a statement, it's up to you. But right now, what I got is a whole bunch of lies from all the way from you don't even have your ID, which is simple. I don't know why you would even lie about that. So, we'll start over. Okay? We'll start over. We're start over. Just we're going to forget the past. We're going to start over. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to consult with an attorney before you make a statement or answer any question and the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you want an attorney but cannot afford to hire an attorney, one be appointed to represent you before and during questioning free of charge. You may use these rights at any time before or during questioning and you may stop the interview at any time. Do you understand these rights? >> Yes. >> Are you willing to answer questions or make a statement without attorney being present? I'm sorry. >> You got to speak louder. I can't hear what you're saying. >> Yeah. >> Has anyone threatened you, coerced you, or promised you anything to cause you to answer questions or make a statement? >> No. >> All right. So, again, we're going to start over. Okay. You went into Louis Vuitton earlier today, I think, at 3:35. Uh, let me get my notepad. All right. So, we'll start at the Louis Vuitton incident. Okay. So, you went into Louis Vuitton at 3 around 3:30. Okay. You walked inside, you looked at a bag, you selected one or whatever with the uh store clerk there. Y'all go over to the little small little desk thing, right? You insert. What did you do next? She finally confesses to using the stolen card and without much hesitation admits she's been arrested before. >> Okay. When was the last time you were arrested? >> Like last year, I think. >> For what? >> It was in Vegas um for trespassing at casino. >> Were you drunk? >> No. No. They just they stereotype girls a lot in Vegas for certain things. So, I got arrested once for that and then I went back to buy pizza and I was there for 5 minutes and then they're like, "Oh, you're trespass." And then they freaking arrested me. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. Well, thank you for being honest. Uh, give me a second. Okay. Let me figure out I got to look at your criminal history and all that stuff and then we'll go from there. >> Can I remind you for that? >> Yeah. Yep. Go ahead. >> But just let you know I'm my name is Michael here. since all this has gone down. Um, as a mall representative, we're going to transfer you from the mall for a year starting today. Um, so if we come back again. >> Yeah, I'm not. >> Okay. I just I had to just tell you that. >> Yeah. Sorry. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. Appreciate it. >> Yeah. I'll get her picture off her ID. >> Yes. >> Before the ride to the station, the officer lets Valerie make a phone call, but the conversation she's about to have will take a turn she didn't see coming. I'm going to call him and my mom after. Okay. >> Say it again. >> Can I call him and my mom after? >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> You're going to have to put it on speaker. >> Okay. >> What the >> babe? I'm sorry you're on speaker right now. I'm really sorry for all of this. I I didn't know this was going to happen or else I would have never did this. >> I'm not your call. >> What? >> I'm not your one phone call. >> What do you mean? >> I said it clear. >> What do you mean, babe? You can't call me? >> No. >> Are you serious? >> Yeah, I'm going home. >> What about everything? >> Don't tell you, man. up. I mean, you're you're running around stealing credit cards. >> I didn't mean to. I just found it and I it was a stupid decision. >> Yep. It was >> They're taking me to jail. >> I don't know how I can help you. >> You can't help me bail me out tomorrow? >> No. >> Seriously? >> Yeah. Call your dad. >> They can't help me, babe. >> You have to. It's a family issue, >> but they don't have it to help me. >> You got to deal with it. >> What do you mean? >> I said it clear. >> So, it's just me. >> You did a really stupid thing. I can't have that in my life. >> I'm not that right. And uh >> here stuff while she's doing that. >> Sori should be all done. There's only one call left to make and Valerie chooses to reach out to her mom. >> I was your ticket. Goodbye. >> You're hanging up on me, babes. Seriously. >> Are you all done? >> I got to call my mom. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're not going to be able to take that, so we'll throw that away. Okay. No. Hi, >> Mom. >> Yeah. >> All right. Don't freak out, okay? But I got arrested. They're taking me to jail. >> What? >> Why? >> Stealing of the card. I'm going to I'm going to need you to bail me out tomorrow. I'll give you the money, but I won't know anything until tomorrow. I guess >> I'm just letting you know. I just Can you watch the dog for me, please? >> Yes. When are you going to tell them? >> Just tell them over or something. jail. >> What jail am I going to? >> Orient road Jail. >> What is it? >> Orient. O R I E N T. >> Orient road. >> Yep. >> Orient road Jail. >> Where is that? >> Hillsboro County. >> Hillsboro County. Is it over here close to here? >> No, it's a little way. >> Where? How far? >> How far? >> Yeah, >> it's a good 20-minut run. 30 minute drive. >> And you're in Tampa? >> Yep. Kind. Yep. >> That's like 20 minutes away from the mall. >> Valerie was ultimately booked into the Orient Road Jail facing two [music] counts of fraudulent credit card use and a charge of thirdderee grand theft. Number four, ex Florida cop tries to pull $5,000 scheme gets caught 11 minutes after leaving the bank. On May 3rd, 2025, officers responded to a robbery at a TD bank where a woman allegedly demanded cash and fled with over $5,000. A pursuit followed and it didn't take long before they caught up to the getaway vehicle. This is the moment they made contact. >> HANDS. >> HANDS. [screaming] DO NOT MOVE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? CUT YOUR SIREN. Keep your hands out where I can see them. >> Hands out where I can see them. >> Get out of your car, please. >> With your left hand, >> open the door from the outside. >> 26th Street. >> Open the door from the outside. >> Face Step back here. Step back here. Turn around. Turn. Face away from me. Face away from me. Face away from me. Come back. Come back. >> Come back over here. Come back over here. Over here. >> What is going on? >> Just hands on the car. Hands on the car. Hands on the car. Hands on the car. >> Sir, please. What's going on? >> I got it. >> Sir, what? >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. >> What is going on? >> Quick. You got anything on you, ma'am? >> No. >> Stop. Stop turning around. >> I'm scared. What is going on? >> Stop. >> Stop turning around. Walk back this way. Can somebody please tell me a minute? Relax. >> Oh my god, I'm so scared. >> Oh my Jesus Christ. Just sit down. >> What's going on? >> Sit down for just a second. Give me just a minute. Okay, right now you're detained. Okay. >> Oh my god. >> Roll down the window. >> What are you saying? >> What is going on? >> We're going to tell you in just a second. >> We're going to tell you in just a second. Okay, that's it. We're going to tell you in just a second. >> Relax. Stop kicking my car and relaxing. >> Okay, but you're making a lot of noise. I heard you from over there >> because I'm horrified. >> Okay, >> just let her know. >> SIR, PLEASE TALK TO ME. I DON'T WANT ANYBODY LOOKING IN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT a warrant cuz I don't know what's going on. ARE Y'ALL LOOKING IN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT A WARRANT? As the officers move forward with a search, the suspect inside the car starts protesting loudly, challenging everything they do. >> SIR, UH-UH. GET [screaming] OUT OF MY CAR. YOU DON'T HAVE A WARRANT. YOU DO NOT HAVE A WARRANT. YOU DO NOT HE DOES NOT HAVE A WARRANT. IF YOU WANT TO SEARCH MY CAR, LET ME KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON AND I WILL LET YOU SEARCH IT. Not long after the arrest, the suspect is taken into the interview room for questioning. >> Please just come quick because I I need to get to that funeral. I show you my bank account. I got money. I don't need to be robbing the bank. >> Okay. Well, y'all have figured out. Okay. That's why we're here. That's why they're wanting to talk to you. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, we're going to put the cuffs in the front. >> This is crazy. >> Put me on the live. I just want to talk as quick as cooking. >> Would you like a bottle of water or anything? >> No, sir. But can I please talk to you? >> I'm about to come talk to you. >> I have a funeral to go to and I'm going to tell you everything that I [clears throat] know. >> Okay. So, my name is Detective Viper. You can call me Mark. Okay. Um, obviously you know why we're here. >> I mean, not really, but I get I sort of got an idea. So, there was a bank robbery and everything from the bank robbery was in your car. So, that's why we're here. So, uh I'm going to read you your rights. Okay. >> You have the right to remain silent if you have Okay. I overheard you say you were in law enforcement. So, I'm sure you probably read that once years. And this is embarrassing. >> I got you. >> So, I'll tell you exactly how my day went. Listen, >> I came because I had to get some more stuff to go with my outfit first or whatever. This guy, Ryan Herren, I've been knowing him since high school. Uh, he used to like me back in the day, but he sort of went down the wrong path. It's a white boy. >> Okay. >> So, he asked me to come by his house. Uh, his dad's house. It's a brown house right there on 17th Street. And I stopped by there. And I'll be honest with you, they wanted to go get they do they wanted to go get something. I don't do so. I'm like, "Don't tell me. Y'all go do whatever y'all want to do." So, they come back and they acting all crazy and I'm like, "I got to go. I got to go to the funeral." And when I got in the car, I saw all of this stuff, but my my car is always a mess. >> The detective makes it clear what this is about. The robbery and the money in her car. But rather than addressing the obvious, she gives him a version of events that skips over everything that matters. >> Sorry. The reason he pulled me out is cuz I guess prior to you getting here >> Mhm. >> you told them out on the roadside that you didn't want to talk without a lawyer present. >> No, no, no. The reason now that I know that I want >> No, I do want to talk. >> Okay. >> Um the reason I said that is because I knew they didn't have any PC on me. >> I got you. >> And I wanted to just go ahead and go so I can make the funeral. >> Okay. >> But since I'm here anyways, I need to talk. >> Okay. So, just just so we're clear, you want to talk to me, >> you're not >> I I need to talk. Yeah. >> So, Ryan Herren and who who else was with him? >> The girl I don't know cuz he he has issues and that's my friend. I've been trying to help him out. And he when he wanted to go get something, I kind of I didn't know it was but I kind of figured it was so I didn't want no part of it. I got >> I let him go. Um, so you let them take your Camaro and leave. How long were they gone? >> Not long at all. >> Okay. When they came back, did they come in that the house with anything? Where were you at when it was just outside? Because that's his dad. His dad knows that he lives a a rough lifestyle and his dad is trying to keep him on the straight and narrow. >> Okay. >> And if he was bringing people to the house, you know, his dad would frown on that. >> I got you. When they took your car and they went and did whatever it is they needed to do, where were you? >> I was just standing there chilling in the yard. >> Hanging out at the house. Okay. >> Um, and when they got back, they didn't bring anything out of your car. What What happened when they got back? >> It was just acting weird. >> Like how though? >> I mean, just like not really saying anything, but just like temperament weird, but not super weird. I was just like, I got to go. >> Okay, >> I got to go. cuz you know I got a funeral to go to my classmate. I'll catch up with y'all. >> The story gets more complicated the longer it goes. The suspect, 40-year-old Christina Gates Thagard, a former Florida officer, keeps denying everything, offering one excuse after another. >> Whenever you had the traffic stop, >> tell me about that. What happened out there? >> I mean, just chaos. He just pulled me, put my hands out, and they had me on a gun. Put me felony traffic stop. >> I got you. And I'm trying to figure out what's going on. He said something about a gas drive off. >> A gas drive off. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Where were you a law enforcement officer at? >> Here in Marian County >> with the >> Mhm. >> Oh, okay. How long were you doing that? >> 14 years. >> Dang. What got you out of that? >> Uh, are you a Chris Lair fan? I just didn't like working for Chris Lair. Everything had changed a lot. >> I got you. Okay. When did you do that? When did you When did you get out? Uh 2016. I was there from old 2003 >> to 2016. >> Good for you. What are you doing now? >> Well, now okay. Um actually getting ready to start masseuse school. >> Nice. >> I'm supposed to go for my orientation on that on Monday, but I'm an influencer. I also do Walmart Spark and I do Uber Eats and all that kind of stuff. And when he's I don't know what kind of marker, but I do have markers in there because when I have my bins, I mark the the papers on the bins in case I have more than one order. >> Okay. Okay. >> But I don't know if it's my marker or if it's a different marker. >> I got you. Okay. So, we'll get off the beaten path for a second. Just tell me a little bit about yourself besides law enforcement. What do you got going on now? >> I mean, I'm a mother. >> Yeah. >> Of five. I'm going to the massage therapy school. Um after that I'm hoping to rent like a little my salon suite, do massage therapy in there. And um in the process or you know while I'm doing that, I'm hoping to um start doing like an online boutique, whatever, try to build that up. Christina tries to frame herself as a mother of five in massage school planning for her future and financially stable. She insists [music] money isn't an issue and says she can prove it. But the detective isn't focused on the motive. Now he's about to drop a detail that can make all her denials fall apart. Neither of us, especially in our careers, >> Mhm. >> like fires. Okay. Right. >> So I think we got off on the wrong foot. And the reason I say that is because I want you to understand there was a tracker in your car that >> A tracker in my car? >> Yes. Yes. From that money that was being stolen, there's a tracker. You're law enforcement. >> Well, it had to be tracking them. >> So, that tracker is going to show exactly from the moment that money hit that bag. It's going to tell me every second where it was when it stopped. Okay. Um, there's video cameras. There's everything. >> I know. >> And in the bank, >> the female that put the note on the counter. >> Mhm. >> Same nails. And you know what nail is missing on the hand without the glove? >> This nail has been missing cuz I do DUI or DIY stuff. >> I got you. But that's what I'm saying. Like it was you in the bank. >> No, it was not. >> It was you. >> It was not. >> Okay. >> Can I see the camera? >> No. I'm we're not going to get into all that. >> I was looking at these nails because I knew I had to fix these nails. >> I got you. >> So, you were the person I want to understand why. Like, >> it wasn't me. Can I see what you're talking about? >> I I'll see if I can pull it up and take a screenshot and show it to you. >> I will do that. But you have to make it make sense, okay? Because that tracker is going to show from the moment you left the bank. I have you on camera when you left the bank. Where you were going? I've already got those timestamps. I've already got the video. >> That's fine. What What bank was it? >> You know what bank? >> No, I'm asking you. What bank was it? Close to that house, obviously. >> Yes, it was. You know what bank it was? >> No, I don't. I'm asking you. I'm I heard y'all say campus on the thing. Is that on 17th Street? >> It's a bank on the corner of 17th Street and 25th. >> Okay. So, that would come directly down and past his house. She keeps denying every detail, but now the officer has a screenshot from the surveillance footage and he's ready to put it in front of her. >> Can you show me the picture? Can the lady identify me? >> No. >> No, I don't. I want to see what you're saying. >> All right. So, obviously this isn't as good as the actual video because it's a still shot, but right there is your hand. Okay. >> That person don't even look like they >> But listen listen. >> Can I see it? >> Sure. >> That's crazy. That That person don't even look like they have nails. >> Yeah, they do. There's an entire There's There's an entire video. >> Look how long my nails are. >> I see that. Okay. I'm not debating if it's you. I know it's you. >> How can you know that's me? >> I can tell you >> from that picture. >> Okay. So, when you were stopped today, were you the only person in your car? >> Stop. Yeah. when y'all stop. >> So when you left that bank, >> that tracker tells us when you're walking, what speed you're going, when you're going. You never stopped. Your car never stopped from the moment you left that bank. Only times it pauses is the stop light, the stoplight, and then it shows you. >> It must have been a glitch. >> It's not a glitch. >> It must have been a glitch. >> That report is going to be in your file. Okay. put that in my file, but I mean, >> listen. So, let's let's cut >> me to jail based on that. >> 100%. You are under arrest. >> Please, sir. >> You're going to jail today. >> Please, sir. >> There is no doubt in my mind that you did this. >> Why? >> All the facts. >> Ju just a picture. >> So, this is your opportunity. No, not just a picture. Videos, pictures, evidence. >> Let me see on the video. That doesn't look like me. Please, I will take you to Ryan. >> Why did you do this to me? >> I will take you to Ryan. I did not do this. Please, sir, do not do this to me. Please. >> She scrambles for a way out, but at this point, the officer has all the leverage. >> Please, that is not me, sir. Please, I have a funeral to go to. >> You're not going to make your funeral. >> Please, sir. That is not me. I am begging you in Jesus' name. Please, can I look at it again? That is not me. >> No. Your car never stopped from the moment you went. >> I don't know about that, sir. I don't >> I do. There's a lie. >> Okay. I DON'T KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED. >> OKAY. >> It was not a long time that I sat there with her. >> Why did you do this today, >> sir? I did not do that. Please, please, please. You got to go let me talk to this lady. Please don't do Don't leave me. Please don't leave me. >> I'm going to get your paperwork going so you can >> Sir, please don't leave me. Please, please don't leave me. I OH MY GOD. CAN YOU DO SOME MORE INVESTIGATING and just let me go home? I'm not a flight risk. >> There will be there will be plenty of investigation further after this. >> That's fine. Please. This is so major. >> Everything that I have right now, you're under arrest. >> Lord Jesus, please don't do [laughter] this. Please let the people go identify me. Please, please, please. I am BEGGING YOU SO BAD. THAT IS NOT ME, SIR. >> I got you. >> Please, sir. [screaming] Please, sir. Oh my god. >> [snorts] [laughter] >> THAT IS NOT ME. THAT IS NOT ME. THAT IS NOT ME. [laughter] >> That was not me. That >> sir, CAN THE LADY LOOK AT MY FACE, PLEASE? >> Which way? Which way look at your face? >> Whoever. Just tell her. Please. Sir, >> your face was completely covered by a medical mask. That wasn't my face. >> Okay. >> If they use the cover they face, that that's not my face. >> I hear you. Listen. >> Let me talk. She should be able to tell the demeanor of the person. >> I got you, >> sir. Please. This is a huge mistake. This is This is going to ruin my life. Please, can you just do some more looking into it? >> I'm I'm currently doing all of that. >> BUT YOU ALREADY PLACED ME UNDER ARREST. >> YOU ARE going to be under arrest. >> Please, please, please, sir. Look at that picture. The officer has said what he needed to say. Now it's her emotions doing the talking. >> Please [laughter] sit here and talk to me. [snorts and clears throat] [laughter] >> Please help me, Lord. Please help me. Lord, please help me. Lord, please help me, Lord. Please help me. Please help me. >> Just just listen to me for one second, okay? Because like I said, the whole reason I'm in here is to get the why. is there is no life. There is no life. >> I want >> I'm looking at that picture. I don't recognize anything about that. >> I'm going to I'm going to show you something. >> Okay. >> Okay. Just to help you better understand, this is a very small piece, >> but this is the tracker details. >> It gives us every second. Okay. >> Maybe they drove around a bit before they came back. But you It did. You got to see where that tracker went by that house. >> I'm sure you drove by the house. I mean it's right there cuz if YOU LOOK THAT LIKE WHERE THE baseball we did stop it was very brief. >> You said two to three minutes. >> I mean maybe it was not that long. It was brief but right there there's a right across the street from his house there's like a sideway and it's a baseball field. >> No. >> Yes sir. Please. I don't know if it's a glitch in that sir. That is not me on that picture. >> No >> that is not me on that picture. If you take me to the bank, nobody can identify me as being in that bank. >> When your car left the bank, 2 m hour, 2 m hour, 11, 15, 35, 40, 40, 404, it never stops. The evidence >> I don't know why it's saying that. >> Okay. The evidence is there. >> I don't know why it's saying that. It was a brief stop. >> I'm going to ask you one more time. Do you want to tell me why? Like, is there hard times? >> If I could tell you something, I would. I'm not going to say I did something that I did. I just wish sir please this is going to ruin my life. >> Okay. >> It's this is going to ruin my life. >> As you know this is probable cause. This is not proof beyond a reason. >> J was still going to GO TO JAIL AND EVERYBODY IS GOING TO THINK THAT OF ME AND MY KIDS AND I'M GOING TO miss the funeral. >> She breaks down completely crying, praying, begging for someone to quote find the truth. But the officers already have what they need. >> That's the only thing I should >> Okay. Can you tell me what else you have? Oh my lord. Oh my lord. Oh my lord. Oh my lord. [laughter] Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. [laughter] Oh no. [clears throat] No. No. No. No. No. This can't be HAPPENING TO ME. NO. THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING to me. [screaming] >> [snorts] [laughter] [crying] [laughter] [gasps] >> Oh God. Oh God. Please face this Lord Jesus. Father, if you fix this, I will give my life you eternally. Lord Jesus, I have no child. Please don't let this happen to me. Lord, please, please, please, please come down to me. Please come down to me. [screaming] [screaming] Please, I need to go to this funeral. Please, Lord, no. NO. LORD, NO. I KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOU got for my life. LORD, THIS IS NOT what you got for me. >> So, we're looking we're looking for you [snorts] a tampon or pad, whatever you need right now. Okay. And then we'll get that taken care of. Okay. So, what what else is that you need? >> I just want to talk to somebody. >> Okay. Well, Detective Fipers already talked to you. There's there's nothing else to talk about. Did you just ask the tailor? >> Despite everything, she's not ready to back down just yet. >> And then when you slide the note and slap it down in front of the >> I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DID, BUT THAT PERSON DOESN'T even look like they have nails on that picture. >> If that's the defense you want to go with, that's fine. >> And don't look I don't care. I don't I really don't care. The point of the matter is you're going to jail. You're asking what's happening. You are going to jail. That is point blank. Period. What is happening? That is the end of it. So, in just a few minutes when Detective Feifer is done with his probable cause affidavit, you are going to jail for the benefit of a doubt of going before my accuser and having them say that it's me. >> You will absolutely get that right. Just not today. >> Oh my god. Oh my god. [screaming] Sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir, sir. Can you check my phone records, PLEASE? CHECK PING MY PHONE. YOU SEE, MY PHONE IS NOWHERE NEAR WHEREVER THEY WAS. SIR, I swear. >> I swear. LIKE, THIS is this is so serious. >> IT IS. >> SO, WHY WOULDN'T Y'ALL DO EVERYTHING? WELL, YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE SOMEBODY TO JAIL FOR SOMETHING THIS SERIOUS WITH A MORE PC. I GOT STUFF THAT CAN VINDICATE ME. YOU CAN CHECK MY PHONE LOCATIONS. You can ask the lady, "Do I have this? Am I the same person?" You can talk to the other the suspect. You can maybe EVEN TALK TO HIS DAD. HIS DAD IS TELLING HE'S PROBABLY CAPABLE OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS. [snorts] [gasps] >> [sighs] >> If I DID IT AND AND YOU HAD ALL THE THE the evidence AND STUFF, THEN I WOULD HAVE TO EAT THAT UP. BUT I'M UPSET BECAUSE I DON'T DO THIS. THERE'S SO MUCH YOU CAN DO TO PROVE THAT I DID IT. AND YOU'RE GOING TO RUIN MY WHOLE LIFE. YOU'RE GOING TO RUIN YOU'RE going to ruin my whole >> The commotion drags on, but at this point, it won't help her case. >> IT DOESN'T GO ONE WAY. YOU CAN'T JUST SAY ONE OR TWO THINGS AND IT'S HER WHEN THERE'S ABOUT FIVE OTHER THINGS THAT CAN PROVE I'M NOT. I have checked my phones. My phones are not going to ping anywhere near any bank. That lady will not identify me, my voice, or anything like that. FINGERPRINTS MEAN NOTHING WHEN THE PROPERTY ALREADY BELONGS to me. I don't know what ALL THEY USED. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT ALL THEY USE. IT'S A TON A TON OF CRAP IN my car. LIKE, IT'S BEFORE YOU'RE GOING TO TRY TO VERIFY SOMETHING, AT LEAST CHECK THE THINGS THAT CAN PROVE THAT I'M INNOCENT. WHY WON'T YOU CHECK THE EVIDENCE THAT WILL SHOW THAT I'M INNOCENT, SIR? SIR. [gasps] SIR, please check that evidence. >> Stop opening MY DOOR. >> PLEASE, THIS AIN'T YOUR DOOR. THIS IS OP DOOR. CHECK THE EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS I'M INNOCENT. DON'T ALWAYS THIS. YOU GOT TO HAVE A FAIR INVESTIGATION. WHEN THERE'S MORE EVIDENCE TO BE SEEN, YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT ALL THE EVIDENCE. YOU CAN'T CHOOSE JUST THE EVIDENCE THAT YOU WANT TO CHOOSE. I DON'T CARE ABOUT [screaming] THE WHITE ME OR NOT. YOU WANT TO TREAT ME LIKE A DOG. YOU WANT TO TREAT ME LIKE A DOG. I'M A BLACK WOMAN. [screaming] I'M A BLACK WOMAN. I'M A BLACK WOMAN. CALL MY [screaming] PHONE PROVIDER. TALK TO THE PEOPLE WHAT I'M TELLING YOU ABOUT. TELL [screaming] TO THE EVIDENCE. >> COVER YOURSELF UP, SIR. >> COVER YOURSELF UP, SIR. >> WHY ARE YOU [laughter] USING THE EVIDENCE THAT MAKES IT LOOK BAD? WHY WOULD YOU >> COME ON. >> WHY WOULD YOU? >> WE'RE GOING TO THE JAIL. >> WHY WOULD YOU USE THE EVIDENCE THAT CAN PROVE I DIDN'T? >> She was formally charged with federal bank robbery, pleaded guilty, and is currently awaiting her sentence. Number three, foreigner tries to pull gold scam and gets caught. In this next case, officers are digging into a growing scheme involving stolen gold deliveries. What follows is the detective's interview with a victim whose $6,800 package never arrived. >> Hi, how are you? Good. >> How are you? >> I'm good. I'm Detective uh Banishki with Villa Park Police Department. We got some deliveries. >> Yeah. >> You got a second to to talk to me? >> Sure. >> Were you expecting any other delivery today? >> Oh, yes. >> I just talked to Costco. >> You talked to Costco? What did Costco tell you? >> They said they were going to start a refund process and they would email me. >> Okay. Um do you want to talk out here? Can I come inside? >> Um >> I just had I could Sure. I just had a few questions for you regarding >> the microphone. >> Yes. >> Okay, perfect. >> So, I do have cameras. Nothing came up except for, you know, the mailman showed up at 2. >> It didn't happen here. >> I'm sorry. >> It didn't happen here. Your delivery. We had >> No one came, >> right? >> Yeah. So, nothing. >> So, what Let's start from the beginning. What What What were you expecting? >> So, we ordered two gold, you know, gold cars >> from where? >> From Costco. >> And how did you order that? >> Online? through through a website or through >> Costco.com. >> Costco kasco.com. >> Using your membership? >> My Yeah, my membership. And then I used a credit card to pay for it. >> And they were supposed to be delivered today. >> Mhm. >> And you know, I've been waiting since this morning cuz I assumed it was a sensitive item. I would have to sign it. >> Yes. >> But nobody even showed up. And it says, you know, when you go into the UPS tracking, >> um it says signature required, >> right? >> But you know, nobody even showed up. And it does say received by Irvan. And my name is spelled wrong, too. I I saw it. >> Okay. Did it give you a time when it was received? >> Three. Yes. >> At three. >> Did it say at the house or somewhere else? >> Yeah, it says residential. So, >> okay. Here. >> Um, do you have a copy of the receipt from Costco or anything? How you ordered it? >> In my email. Yeah, >> perfect. I'll give you my information if you could just email screenshots of >> Oh, yeah. >> of everything you got. The victim says she stayed home expecting a secure delivery for two gold bars worth nearly $6,800, but the tracking says it was dropped off and signed by someone she doesn't know and with her last name misspelled. It's the first clear sign that something bigger might be going on. >> All right. Uh, so no identity theft previously. Nobody has a cop near drive. >> Previously as in >> recently? >> No, no, nothing recently. There's nothing reason. No, >> there's no reason. And >> I mean, we we made a new credit card if that's >> No, >> I think >> um got to ask, did you give anybody permission to pick up your package and sign for it on your behalf? Yes. >> Today? >> No. No. No. Like I'm telling you, I stayed home [laughter] all day, you know, just because I was expecting this thing, you know, and I I wanted to make sure I'm home. And um just so you know, for your information, when I was reading the reviews and unfortunately I read them after I ordered it, there was a few people that said, "We're still waiting for our item. It never showed up." >> So I don't know if this is something that does happen. But I was surprised cuz, you know, Costco is >> pretty, >> you know, I mean, I order stuff all the time, so I wasn't concerned about it at all. >> Uh this is a high value item. >> Yeah. So, I'm I'm wondering >> um what happened. >> Okay. So, you didn't give anybody permission to sign for >> No. No. >> I mean, it's just me or my husband, you know, and my kids that live here, but I still just I stayed home just because of this reason. >> Sure. >> Did you contact Costco and tell them you never received the package? >> Yes. So, I, you know, like I said, I was moving on right here. Um, so I was checking, you know, for the update. So, I refreshed the page and I saw it was delivered at 3 like it said and then I called Costco um here. I called them 3:31. >> Uhhuh. >> So, I realized it wasn't here, you know, and I checked in the updates. It said it was delivered. So, I called them right away and I told them. So, >> So, what did they say? >> They She looked into it for a while. I think it took me a while. I was on that. So, I was on the call for like 29 minutes half. So, she I guess I'm sure they checked all their resources and then she was like, "Well, um, wow." >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Thank you so much for stopping by. >> No problem. Have a good day. >> While one officer wraps up the interview with a victim, other units are already conducting traffic [music] stops and before long, they have two suspects in custody. You see him there? >> Yeah. Hold it in a second. >> Do you have anything on you? on the vehicle parked in front. I'm at St. Charles ID. >> Where's it at? >> Where's your ID? Victor one over there >> in the wallet. >> In the wallet. Where's your wallet? >> Uh where >> in the trans the armrest is in front of it. We got the long drink. >> Huh? >> Yeah. >> What's up, man? What's up, bro? Dude, I know, right? I'm trying to keep out of the sun. Of course, now it's a great day. Are >> you shaking your head? Don't be judgmental. Yeah, I know. Just can't be judgmental. >> Get the sunset on still. Once in custody, the suspects are brought to the station for interviews with officers relying on a translator to bridge the language gap. Okay. She's asking when she can go home. She's uh asking if she answers all the questions, will she be able to go home after? >> I can't make you any promises. I can't make any promises that my my case >> is different from their case, right? They have something that happened today and I'm trying to investigate. My understanding is that somebody's been having you guys pick up packages. >> Uh was she's asking what city you're with? >> So So the way I understand it is that somebody is having you pick up packages. >> Yes. So, you and who is this other person that's in the car with you? >> He's my friend. >> He's your friend? >> Yeah. >> He's not your boyfriend. >> It's uh we talking closer, but it's my friend. >> Do you want to marry him? >> I believe >> he wants to marry you. >> I know. >> Yeah. Her story told through a translator reveals how the offer first came through Telegram. After persistent messages and the promise of easy money, she eventually gave in, saying she needed the cash for rent and her family. She confesses she's done it multiple times with payouts as high as $1,500 and explains her male friend usually drives since she doesn't have a license. >> Okay, so basically a person started hitting her up on Telegram. um asking her to take these packages. She kept refusing, refusing, and eventually they gave her a price that was sufficient enough because she needed to pay for an apartment and to send money back to the family. So >> yeah, trying to make ends meet. Okay, get it. >> Uh, how much did they offer you? >> Cuz I just did a blanket. >> Uh, today? >> Today? >> Uh, 1,500. >> 1,500 for today. And how about what's the lowest amount? >> Uh, 500, I think. Yeah, 500. So between 500 and500 what's the most what's the most >> was the most it was today. >> Mhm. >> But before No. >> Mhm. >> Before it was lower. >> Lower. >> Mhm. >> And how about how many times did you do that? several several. Three, four, five. >> Between four and six. Between four and six. Do um Did you ever go to So she they're often driving through or going there to hang out. Uh she remembers receiving a request to get a package. However, she doesn't remember actually taking the package in. Despite another round of denial, the detective shows her the footage. It's her on camera walking up to the UPS truck and removing the box. There's nothing left to dispute. >> Um, >> so you're asking if there was another package that day that you because there's video of you going to the UPS man and taking the package >> on this day. >> In this day? Yeah. >> Wa. >> When you were in Waka. >> Uh, what's the date? Could you tell me? >> It was in May 16. >> May 16th. >> May 16. Yeah. >> Three weeks ago. They usually send one word a day and they typically don't agree to do it. Yesterday they sent three requests but they didn't uh they didn't do it. >> But on this day on this day you you said this is you right? >> Yeah. >> And on this day you picked up a package from the UPS man. >> Uh I don't remember but if you have the video okay but I don't remember to be honest. She doesn't want to she doesn't want to confirm anything because she can't remember. Okay. >> If I show you the video, you'll be able to remember. >> Yeah. I need despite the lengthy interrogation, she refuses to tell the truth. But the officers aren't giving up just yet. >> My phone, it's trying to download from the cloud, but you can see it on the video, right? You'll see better quality on the computer. But all I'm asking, all I'm asking you is the truth. That's all. That day you were there. You went to the UPS and you grabbed the package from the UPS man. UPS. Mhm. So, she's saying she cannot confirm that she met the UPS driver and took the package saying that she was there that day, but she can't remember anything what she did that day. She's saying that she if she confirms when she looks at the video and confirms that that's what she was doing, she would be lying because she doesn't remember. >> The conversation wraps up politely. >> Hi, how are you? >> Initiate a refund. >> Okay. So, are you accepting a refund from them? >> I mean, yeah. That's my only choice. >> Yeah, because uh like I said, we do have your package, but they're probably going to keep it as evidence for the time being. >> Wait, you have the package? >> We do. We >> Oh, >> yeah. We have the package. >> Oh, >> but it's not like I just Here's your two gold bar. >> Oh, okay. I guess I missed that part. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, long story short, >> you were saying somebody was stealing that. >> Yes. We intercepted a bad guy. Somebody signed for it on your behalf. They said, "Oh, I'm I'm in a rush. This is, you know, this is me. Here's here's my driver's license." Oh, >> and they signed for it. Now, they don't have >> They had a driver's? >> No, but they had your name. So, >> oh my god. >> They signed for your name and the driver gave them the package. We stopped them.
