He just got out of PDC in Playersville, right? I haven't done anything wrong. And he's like talking out of his mind like in third person. and start one more person. I don't know what's wrong with him. Like he'll come in and out like and then he's like he's when he's talking to me it's like he's talking to somebody else and I don't know I don't know what kind of he's on or what So you think he's on something? I have no idea. So what happened tonight? We were just I got off and got off the bus and I was going to go to Publix to get some water but we ended up this far because he's like calling me Heather which my name isn't Heather. My name's Melissa. And that's how I know like there's something off because he's referring to me as these other people that we know and he's like taken it out on me something that's happened. I don't something that is not real. Yes. So he's calling you this Heather person. Okay. And tell me about the physical part. And he was like being like real aggressive to me like like even when he went to kiss me he was like like aggressively do it like you know like push on my face or whatever. I mean I don't think he's meaning to do it. Like I don't want him in trouble, but Well, how was he like was like how was he grabbing you? I should say he was trying to hold like force me to hold his hand and I was like yanking it back from him and he was just like like forcefully trying to like grab my hand. Okay. Anywhere else? Just throat cuz I I can see it on your neck. Yeah, I know. I was in my throat, but I don't want He doesn't know. Who is he to you? He's my boyfriend. He's your boyfriend? We've been together for a while, but And then he's been locked up the last three months for what? Um he had a warrant and uh they ran his name. They were looking for somebody to talk entirely different. They ran his name. He had a warrant. So he went 30. So that was something else. Yeah. Who Okay. Have y'all ever lived together? Yeah, we live together. Okay. And when he came back from PBC, he known PBC and Playersville. He's not been the same person. I don't I don't I don't want anything to happen to me. We just need to get somewhere. Okay. So when he was tried telling him when he was grabbing on your neck, did you do you want an ambulance first of all? No. Okay. Did you ever stop breathing or anything like that? Did you felt like you were gonna pass out or was it just like a grab? Just grab. So was it like a grab some while he was grabbing your hand or you think he was trying to choke you or was he just kind of grabbing? I don't think. Okay. All right. Where do y'all live at? Well, we're technically homeless. But y'all live together in a tent. Uh we used to stay in a tent together before all this happened. He went to jail and stuff, but right now we just stay at the church most of the time. The uh Covenant Presbyterian church. Okay. But there's like a time frame that we're allowed to Yeah, I know. They're weird about their hours and stuff. Do you have your license on your ID card? I have it on me. Last time I got pulled over, they actually I never went. Gotcha. What's What's your name? Was 1994. Have y'all ever had any domestic history between y'all? He's like That's what I So this is like a 180. That's why I'm so confused. Like what is going on? What is his name? Christopher. What's you know how old he is or his date of birth? I don't know. Um he's 31. He's 31. Okay. Well, we can work with that. All righty. And y'all say y'all typically How long have y'all been staying in a tent together? Um since September of last year. Since October. Okay. We've been together a while. But that's what me and our friends were talking about and stuff like he's the most respectful, sweetest person. But then since he got out of that PVC whatever, I don't know. He's only there two months. Yeah. Let me take a look at your I see your neck. Where else? Is that the only place you see with injuries? Yeah. Okay. Um, do you recall being hit or grabbed anywhere else besides your hands on your neck? Not on top of your head. Not on top of your head, man. I You can't think of um, no. Okay. He did like try to push my glasses back earlier and it kind of like hurt my head, but Okay. Well, here's here's what's going to happen. We're going to go talk to him a little bit further and then I'm going to come back and speak to you about some other things. Okay. Okay. I'm 81. We're going 295 with him. I don't know what's going on. He's highly agitated. He's on something according to her. Stay right here for me. Okay. I'm going to go talk to him, but if he starts getting Okay. I want you to stay here. Hey, Christopher. Man, I'm sorry. You're fine. So, would you would you would you like to talk to me now about what happened? I mean, I will both but man, I'm telling you, man. What happened tonight, bud? Exactly what I said. Basic car. Exactly what she said. Base car. Exactly what she said. There's no RP or none of that name there. My last name. Oh, yeah. Mr. Per fine. What I do need you to do though, I need you to go ahead and place her hands behind your back for me. Okay, sir. What? Okay. See what I mean? I can see the marks on her, man. See what I mean? She just see All right. Whoa. Whoa. You all right? I did not touch you, bro. 1095. Why did you do that? Sir, I didn't. She didn't even tell him that. No, she didn't. She Are y'all good here while I go speak to the witness? I'm not sure. Where's my witness? Please, Heather. Heather, you if if you were here, would you mind going speaking to the other witness so you don't have to wait? Um, it's the one in the U-Haul truck. Should be over somewhere over there. Yeah, the one that Sorry. When I got up here, he like ran up to me and started like he's on something according to her. Thank you. Hey, are you one of my witnesses? Yeah. Hey. Yes, he is in custody. So, I would love to get your statement though about what happened. Okay. So, just take me from the beginning. What did you see? Okay. So, I was sitting here cuz I just got off work and um so basically like I was like texting before I started like before I left and then I looked up and I see like I don't like they kind of just pop out of sitting right there and he's like yelling at her. I don't know what he was yelling at. I definitely just heard yelling and like I could like at first like I was just looking at it and I was just kind of like feel like it looks a little bit aggressive and I was like kind of just wondering like should I leave or should I just stay here? So what what did you see happen? Um, he was basically he was beating like he was taking his fists, punching her and throwing her around and all that stuff. So just punching her and throwing her around. Mhm. Okay. Anything else? She was screaming and we stopped and my mom said she was like, "Are you okay?" She was like, "No, no, no." And there go my mom right there. She can tell you better. Okay. He was punching her in her face. And then um that's when he kind of like grabbed at her like this where at like on her like on her neck area was like her neck or her face but it's definitely just kind of like upper body. Grabbed her like that and she's like basically she's basically telling like get off of me like we're in public or something like that. Like she didn't say that but it seemed like she was trying to tell him like you know like it seemed like she was trying to shoot him away kind of. Yeah. Cuz at first I was like oh like do they know each other or something or is he just like some random person like being aggressive? He's walking, but it seemed like they didn't know each other cuz they started walking together. But he was doing that and then um some cars started honking to get him to stop and he started yelling at the car and then they just like basically like from there they walked over here and through most of he's like kind of like up like all up in here like yelling at her like stuff. Okay. And that's when they walked over there. So I want So I want recount what you said and I'll just correct me if I'm misunderstanding. So essentially you just got off work. You're sitting here in your car. They kind of appear out of nowhere in that general area and you see what looks like a kind of a heated conversation between the two. It escalates to him grabbing at her neck or face area before she's able to kind of shoe him off of her and then they continued this heated argument with them going that way with him continuously coming kind of going at her. Yes. Is that what you saw? Yeah. Who is that guy? We have contact with him. I just wanted to speak with you guys to see what you saw. Yeah. He just hit her in the face twice. That's the only thing we saw. So, punch her in the face twice. Mhm. Closed fit like both hands. Okay. Um, anything else at all? That's it. That's all I know. He said he was throwing her around. Yeah. So, like would you be like shoving her? Was he like pushing on her? Just pushing her. But I got to go home and cook. I got you. Um, just one more question. You went up to her and asked her if she was okay. No, I didn't. I didn't go near. We didn't go near the phone. So, you just saw her getting hit? Yeah. Not to go near. I got you. You got an ID on you just saying I spoke with you? No, I don't have my ID. Okay. Can I actually grab your name and date of birth? Uhhuh. Okay. So, do you have your do I have your license there? You're just gonna be listed as a witness in this case. Okay. I appreciate you uh telling and talking to us saying if you were one of the initial callers, too. Yeah. It was just I don't know. Oh, no. You it definitely she does have some injuries. So, you're very lucky. She's very lucky that y'all were here. Okay. I mean, I feel good for calling cuz I was really scared that like what if I call and if they're already gone? And so, we had actually got a similar call about them way up the road and we couldn't find them. So, y'all calling is connecting kind of the dots here. 104 check on 85. There you are. I appreciate you calling us. Okay, you're free to go. All right, ma'am. So, he has to go because I see the injuries on you and with his demeanor, we both know it's only going to get worse tonight. Yeah. So, we thought of getting them out of the public view. But were y'all downtown earlier? We were at the bus station waiting on a bus. We got a call about y and y'all had already left before we got there. That's what I was telling him. But don't calm down. Stop acting crazy for these unknown reasons. Cops are going to come. Um, so I left on foot and the security guard was waving me down and asking me if I need help. You got that ABR? I think 85. 85. You got that ABR? Thank y'all. He made it to um bus stop in front of the bake shop on a pony street and the people that work there, they came out and he was telling him the same thing. If he didn't take his hands off me and stopped yelling in my face, they were going to go across, but the bus came. We literally just got off the bus right here at this bus stop. And that's when y'all walk out in front of that restaurant there over here. Okay. And then I walked over here. I was trying to get public. You're trying to go public get the water like you said? Yeah. like you just like crazy. Is your tent over at the church right now? No. Where y Where were you going? I was trying to Well, I was going public to the church. Then to the church. Okay. Um I want to give you some paperwork and then you'll be free to go. Okay. Just one second. Hi. Hello. I just wanted I was coming back to check on her because I stopped and the guy threatened me so I drove away. Were you one of our witnesses? Yes. Okay. Have you already talked to an officer? No. I That's why I came back. I wanted to make sure she So if you have a Yes. She thankfully she's okay. He's in jail. Um, do you have a second where I can kind of speak to you about what she saw? Yes. Um, Maloney, will you get her a victim services pamphlet so she can leave? And, uh, if you would, uh, so what did you see? So, um, I'm an instarter and I was leaving. I was going this way to go drop off groceries and I saw him getting like kind of aggressive. I could tell just yelling at her and I was like, "Okay." kind of like kept an eye on it as I was driving away and then I saw he was like putting his hands on her face like really aggressively shaking her and she was like trying to walk away and he was just like not like and um I I watched it like all the way I forget where I think they came around here and around the building and the whole way like just hitting her and she finally I think she sat down here and he was still like hitting her and stuff. Gotcha. And I even pulled up and I was like, "Hey, like is everything okay?" And he was like, "You might like might not want to get in the middle of this." All right. And I was like, "Okay, so I'm going to go drop off these groceries and come back and make sure she's all right." Yes. So luckily there was a lot more people out here saw as well and called as well. And so he is in custody at this point. Um, would you mind being listed as a witness in this case? Do you have your license? Yeah. Really appreciate you coming back to not only check on her, but also willing to speak to me. All right. You, as I said, we have a lot of witnesses, but you can never have too many. Thank you. Okay. Thank you.
