Heather O'Brien's railing standoff. On July 14th, 2024, deputies were flagged down at a hotel on Estamyami Trail after Heather O'Brien refused to leave. Staff said she'd spent the past hour roaming the lot, pulling on car doors and crouching by tires like they held secrets. >> How you want your declar? >> They got a problem back room. And then when I draw the line was we had two elderly white guys came in. She threw her room key at them and told them to come to her room. This was all before we got here. Just before we got here, >> because we had another set of police officer came in and we tried to get it open the door. That's when she put this up and she she didn't leave the room. So, they end up leaving. Um when she came outside, I locked the door so she couldn't use the key to get back in. I just needed her to get outside. And then the same guy that um the the black guy >> Yeah. He saw the police went to get something. So he ran over there and called him and that's when all of this happened.
