Morgan Morz was charged with failure to report a fatal crash, two counts of aggravated DUI causing death, reckless homicide, possession of a controlled substance, and four additional traffic violations. Morgan had also been convicted of DUI back in 2019 after crashing into a mailbox, a fire hydrant, a large rock, and a tree. A judge ordered Morgan held in jail while the case moves forward. In August of 2026, Ryan's estate also filed a separate civil lawsuit against Morgan over the crash. For more content like this, subscribe to Body Cam Files and stay tuned for more
