We've just been arguing a little back and forth because I have a friend that I talked to and and he's trying to figure out who it is. You're crying. >> All right, pull your lip down. >> So, let me ask you this, big dog. How'd she get that black eye? >> Hell, I've had problem with her messing with my cousin. >> On October 9th, 2023, officers were dispatched to a call about a mom and dad. It all started when a stay-at-home dad found out his girlfriend was talking to some other guy. >> Can I help you? >> You can go wait over there. I'm I'm investigating something right now. >> Okay. Go over there. >> Please go over there. >> Go over there now. >> Mama. Mama, stop. >> I will tell you what to do. Do you want to go in handcuffs? >> Mama, just stop. Mama, stop. >> You can go in handcuffs. >> Yes, sir. >> Hop on out. Come over here. What happened? >> So, me and my girlfriend, we just been arguing today. We haven't been physical, though. We have been arguing. I'm sorry. My mom looks like but we've been >> 467. Where are you? >> We um we had a little thingy where I I caught that she was messaging another man >> where I got two other vehicles pulled up on me. >> Mama, y'all just go over there. Y'all just go over there. >> Mama, it's okay. >> All right. So, you and your girlfriend been arguing? >> Yeah. Yes, sir. We just been arguing because I I saw that she me and her Okay. We We're situ We have two children. >> Okay. and we've been situating everything and we've been trying to say we're going to get a uh we're getting an apartment. >> Uh yeah, that's my brother or my cousin. >> That's my mama. We just got a couch. >> Anyways, for our new apartment that we're about to get into. So, I just found out like today me and her, you know, we've been having we've been I've been feeling good, but I've been off work for a lot lately and I've been trying to help my girlfriend out >> and I've been taking care of our baby boys for her while she goes to work and stuff. And so, you know, I just been doing that and me and her like we were off a little bit. We were just off a little bit or whatever. And uh today I I noticed she was texting her phone and I was like, I'm going just be like nosy. I'm going to try to lean over and see if I see anything and see what she does. She reacted differently. You know what I mean? Like she reacted like, "Okay, boom." I was like, "Okay, that's cool." And I just asked, "Hey, hey, are you texting or messaging anybody anymore or anything?" No, no, no. She She said, "Yeah, I am. It's a friend." You know, I just as like, you know, we're a family. You know what I mean? We're a family. So, it's like we we can't do this more because yes, I was kind of in my but I have not slept with, you know, I did the same thing messed I just been me and her just been very upset today about that and like it it happened earlier today and like me and her just it's just I don't know just hard to get over like like we're about to finally move into our own apartment and then this happens. You know what I mean? Like we're just trying to move forward for our children, for ourselves cuz we've been living with my mom for a while and I used to live in Texas and so stuff like that. So, it's like we're just trying to grow up, you know what I mean? Just trying to live, you know? Just >> All right. Just do me a favor. Just stay right here. Okay. Do you have an ID? >> Uh, it's Yeah, it's right here. >> Somebody pulls up behind us while we're while we're on a traffic stop, we can ask anybody to leave. You are right. You can go all the way over there and you can sit in your car and you can watch. That's perfectly fine. But from right here where you're close to him and he can't pay attention to what you're doing and he can't see what your hands are doing and he doesn't know if you're armed or not and he doesn't know what's going on, I have the right to ask you to leave because you're involved on this traffic stop. If you you know him, you know the guy that got stopped, he's your cousin, right? So you are involved. >> You're you're not. But you are. If you weren't involved, if that wasn't your cousin, if that wasn't your cousin, you would have never stopped. >> He came he came by through there just mean mugging me like what the hell? Okay. So again, again, if he wasn't your cousin, you would have never stopped, which makes you involved. Okay? He doesn't like that you're sitting here watching him. My other officer, he can't he can't see you. He can't understand what you're doing. He doesn't know. Okay? So, if you want to go somewhere else, farther away, and watch, you're more than welcome to. But for right now, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Okay? Do you understand? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. >> Hey, how are you? >> What's going on today? >> Nothing. We just been arguing because of my phone. >> Okay. How'd you get that mark on your face? >> My cup. Me and my kids are touching with my cup. This family cup. >> Are you being honest with me about that? >> Yes. >> What's up, bud? >> No, it's okay, babe. >> It's all right. >> Well, you're you're crying. You have a mark on your face. It's okay to talk to me. I'm not here to hurt you, okay? I'm here to help. That's what I'm here for. Okay? I'm not here to to haul anybody to jail. Okay? We gota we got a call about a female being hit. >> Yes, I know. But >> um I can in his name. Yes, I know big on property. >> I paid I paid my phone bill, his phone bill. >> That's okay. >> And mind you, I'm not working right now. She knew this and she knows that she was okay with it because she got her a job cuz I came from Texas and stuff and I was working and I got laid off and stuff and and and we had our babies and she like you know daycare is so expensive this and that but she wanted to work so she was like okay I'll work she said I'm going to get this job with car partners they pay really good I said yeah that's fine and so she did and she liked it she started making money she said I'm she said you know I'm so happy that you know we can help each other out and and that's been our agreement up until today literally today you know it's not helping now and this and that because now we got an apartment and my cousin owns the apartment but you know the rent is like it was 600 then it went to 900 so it's like you know what I'm saying >> so she like it's a little steep but she makes 1100 a week you know what I'm saying >> I don't want to take my property my things >> okay >> when I work for that's it that's all I want try to let him know like he can't take my stuff >> all right then what happened after that >> that's we were like we've just been arguing back and forth because I have a friend that I talked to and he's trying to figure out who it is and this and that. I just I just too much. I just don't want that. >> What happened to your phone? Turn it over. Oh, it looked like it was all cracked up. >> No, he just held on to it in his pocket and said he wasn't going to give it to me. >> I know that you told your friend that you don't want to get him in trouble and don't want him to go to jail. >> Okay. That's what they told me. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Cuz I don't like I don't want >> And I understand that completely. I I wouldn't want my significant other to go to jail either >> because of that. Like I have my two babies. I'm the only one who works. >> I know. >> I don't have nobody to watch me. >> Okay. >> And I have If I miss work tonight, I'm going to lose my job. >> What happened to your face? >> I told you what happened. >> You have a bruise on your face that that didn't come from a cup. I've been doing this job for a minute, dear. Okay. I know that the Stanley cup that's laying in your back seat right now did not cause that burn. [crying] >> So, what happened? >> I told her when we got this new apartment, he was going to help us out because she works next shift. She works third shift. She works 11 at night to 7:00 in the morning. >> Okay. >> I'm with the babies all night long. These kids don't work like 2:00 in the morning. So, you know, I'm up with him and then I take care of him during the day while she sleeps. >> Okay. >> So, you know, just it's just that um it's like that or whatever. And so up until today, like she started acting fishy while we're getting this new apartment and then she was like, "Oh, I don't want you to live with me." Just single stuff, you know, just relationship stuff. >> Yeah. >> And I'm like, you know, I don't understand it. Like it's just in my mind like why, you know, like what's going on? Why is it everything different now? We've been together for so long, you know, everything was great up until today. Up until when we about to, you know, furnish our apartment. I found out she was texting a whole another male. >> Okay. >> Today. And like I don't I got mad. And I got upset, but I did not physically hurt her. I did not physically touch or nothing. I was talking to her like I'm like, "Baby," because I've had my share of but you know what I'm saying? Like texting and stuff and she's caught it and I've stopped right then and there in front of her. You know, everything. But then I say, "How can we work on those? How can we like, you know, how can we situate everything else? How can we stop this?" And she hits me with the, "Oh, well, what if I don't want to stop talking? What if I don't want to do this?" And you know, obviously it'll make you mad, but it's like I'm just upset about it cuz I'm still trying to cook like like what the [ __ ] You know, >> you got kids, there's a lot going on, a lot to consider. You know what I mean? Okay. It's okay to talk to me. I'm not I'm here to help. >> Okay. If he hits you, that's not okay. >> I thought he was going to hit me. That's why I told my cousin to go. >> What do you mean you thought he was going to hit you? >> Because of how mad he was getting at me. >> Did he like raise a hand to you or something like that? >> No, he just kept looking at me real mad and raising his voice at me when I was on the phone. That's why I told her to call the police before it happened. >> He didn't throw anything at you. didn't raise a hand towards you. He was just looking at you weird. Has he ever hit you before? >> Before? Yes. >> Yeah. >> When we were younger, before we had kids, we used to fight. >> Well, you got a he had a black eye. >> He's never hit me in my face. [crying] Even when he did hit me, he never hit me. >> How did that happen? >> Why would she call in? And >> because I had her phone. >> Okay. >> I had her phone. It's under my name, but it's her phone. She pays for it, but I had it in my pocket. >> Okay. >> You can look. It's not broken. Nothing's wrong with it. I just >> Why' you have it? >> Because she wanted to call I don't know. Like, I just I just had it. Like, I like she was trying to threaten to call her cousin and this and that and do that. And I'm like, "Well, why?" You know what I'm saying? Like, she wanted her cousin to come pick her up. >> Okay. >> I'm like, "Okay, that's cool. I'll take you where you want to go." Cuz we were supposed to come here before 7 to get her couches, but I just had her phone like I said cuz like I'm I'm trying to speak to her. If I give her phone, she's going to be on the text. So I'm like I'm just trying to you know work with you. I'm trying to talk with you cuz we stopped over at Panera. >> Mhm. >> And I was like you know I'm just trying to talk with you like let's get everything situated cuz I'm a very calm person. I can be very calm. I just been very upset about the situation today. >> Yeah. Understandably. >> Exactly. You know what I mean? Like this is not the first time she's done this either though. Okay. We've been This is the like I've had problem with her messing with my cousin. She didn't mess with him but she texted him. You know what I'm saying? >> The one over there. >> Uh no his brother. >> His brother. Okay. >> Oh no. Not that guy. my cousin who own the apartment that we're about to move into. >> Okay. Okay. >> Yeah. So, she was doing, you know, talking with him and stuff, getting money from him, but she was a family member and she started talking like real, oh, my love this, my love that, you know, like I still I just, you know, just was like, what the [ __ ] again? You know, like it's crazy, you know, cuz I'm thinking we're good, we're straight, but it wasn't. You know what I mean? Like all it is is communication. I just want to communicate. That's it. Because we got the two babies. >> Yeah. >> That we I do not want the babies to I don't want the babies to grow up in a separate home like I did. She did. She didn't even have parents growing up. My mom and my dad separated when I was 5 years old, 6 years old. You know what I mean? Like, and he lives in Texas. We're She's here in Georgia. Just imagine separate Christmases. Hell, I can barely go to a Christmas with my dad and not be with my mom. You know what I mean? >> I know. I I have separate parents, too. I understand. >> That's exactly what I don't want. And that's what me and her talk about. And she's always understandable. Always agreeable. She's the sweetest girl ever. You know what I'm saying? But it's like this. It's like it just puts in my mind like what the you know what I mean? know that you're scared because you're the only one who works who's going to watch your kids. You got a million questions running through your mind right now, right? >> A lot of variables. >> It's okay, baby. >> It's all right, Bubba. Do you want a sticker? >> You want a sticker? You like stickers? >> I have special policeman stickers if you want one. >> It's okay, baby. I promise. [crying] >> You have a mark here. Okay. And you have a bruised eye. >> A scratch. >> Yep. Now look at your left eye. That's swelling and it's bruised. [crying] >> I promise I'll do it. >> Do you have an ID? >> I just been upset. I called her cousin and her cousin was like she like I'm sorry. >> No, you're it's the door. >> And she like call the police on me. I'm like okay call the police. She said I'm going to tell you holding hostage cuz we was in the mall. I said I'm not holding you hostage. You have no seat belt on. I have a seat. I had a seat belt. I said you have no seat belt on. said, "If you want to get out, go in there." I said, "But I had the babies in here. I get it. You know, she has more parental rights. We're not married, but we, you know what I'm saying? I'm not legitimized. So, obviously, she does have all rights, but the babies were in the car seats, you know?" So, I was like, "I know. I'm not going to kidnap them. I'm not going to drive off, but I'm saying if you want to go in the mall, go in the mall." You know what I'm saying? Like, it's it's just like like I said, just arguing. >> Okay. So, she doesn't have any injuries on her. >> Shouldn't? >> What do you mean she shouldn't? >> Like, I mean, she just shouldn't. Like, I didn't touch her. >> You mind if I take your hands out? Flip them over for me. Let me see your neck. Where'd you get that cut from? >> Her. >> Why did she cut you right there? >> Because I had her phone. >> Okay. So, she swung at you. >> Well, we I mean, we didn't It was at the It was just the reflect. We both touched each other at the same time. >> Okay. Explain that to me. >> So, when I didn't give her phone, she did this and I did this at the same time. >> Okay. Where did this hand end up? >> On her neck. >> On her neck. Okay. So her hand ended up on your neck and your hand ended up on her neck cuz you had the phone. She got mad about I had her phone right here in this pocket. >> All right. Pull your lip down. >> Yeah, we pointed out already. >> All right. >> So, let me ask you this big dog. >> Yes, sir. >> How'd she get that black eye? >> Not sure. I mean, she had her stem cup and she threw it. She has a stem cup. A big 40 oz stem cup. She threw there. I don't know if she hit herself or what, but I didn't get her. I promise. >> Hey, hun. Hey. I'm going to take a look at you real quick. Okay. Yeah. You got a black eye. I'm assuming that came from him hitting you. >> No. >> Where did that come from? Cuz that's fresh. >> I know they don't cause that much damage. Unless somebody was swinging it at you. There's a lot going on, right? There's you and him fussing. Which couples fuss? I can't tell you how many times I've fussed and fought with my girlfriend. Right. You just you spend so much time together that you feel like that's the person that you're going to argue with, you know, like that's the person that you trust enough to fight. I guess what I'm saying is my concern is that >> like >> I give her my car. It's insured. It has everything I can show you. >> Yeah, I know. I've I've already looked. >> So, you're saying that you put her hand like that, right? >> She put when I She put her hand like this. I put my hand like this on her neck like that >> and that's how she You got scratched. >> She has Yeah, she has an arrow. >> I know that hand's got thrown. I mean, he's he's got a cut on him. He's got a black eye >> because we we are not physical. >> Kind of peculiar you say that because this is physical. >> Yeah. I mean, yeah. >> The the black eye that she has is physical. The scratch that she has underneath her right eye is physical. It's not We aren't physical. Something happened, >> right? >> And neither of you are really telling the truth. >> I mean, that's just what happened, really. >> I just need you to tell me exactly what happened. I just want to say can't take my first. I was the sole provider. >> You're right. You are 100% right. >> I don't think he should have the right to take my phone. >> He doesn't. Nope. Even if he bought it and paid for it every single month. If you were using it, that's still yours and he's not allowed to take that from you. Okay. So, you are 100% right about that. You're about to cry, though. >> She's got physical injuries. You have physical injuries. Let's stop lying to the police about what happened and and let's let's start telling the truth about what really happened. >> That's really what happened. We did this. >> Where did it happen at? >> It happened behind Panera. >> So if I go to Panera Brad, it's not going to show >> me and her out the car. >> I don't think that you are telling me the truth. >> I know. >> I know that you're not >> cuz it's a sensitive subject. I know that >> as far as not having home with my kids and working and possibly going to lose my job if I don't make it to work. It is stressful. >> But you know what's also stressful? You getting hit in the face. That's also stressful. >> Them having to watch this. That's also stressful. >> But what if it I mean if eventually he's going to get to that, right? Yeah, >> I need you to tell me the truth about what happened to uh because I know that that didn't come from just staying in the cub. >> Me on the phone talking like this, her off the phone getting my phone. I was like, "No, I'm not giving him anything." And then I'm on the phone with her cousin and talking like that. And then so you know what I'm saying? That's how it all happened. Just like that. I'll stop because like I said, we're not like I'm not we're not trying to I'm not trying to fight. I just want to communicate with her, talk with her, and say what's going on. If she doesn't really want me, you know, I can't force that. I'm not going to force her into nothing. Nobody can. I'm not like >> So why'd you take her phone, man? >> I mean, because I'm trying to talk with her. I'm trying to communicate with her because that's all she want. That's how like that's what she was doing to talk to the >> Yeah, but it's her property. >> But it's under my name. >> It doesn't matter. >> That's what I'm saying, though. >> That that that aspect. I don't care whose name it's under. I don't care who pays the bill every month. I I don't care about all that. If that's her phone, it's her phone. It It doesn't That doesn't matter to me. >> Right. >> So, why'd you take her phone? >> It just like I said, just because I wanted to communicate because I wanted her to listen to me. I guess controlling, but I'm not trying to be controlling. But that's what I did. I took her phone, put it in my pocket. I had my phone in my pocket and I was like, "Let's talk it out. Let's just talk." Like, "What's wrong?" Like, "What is it? >> Who's this?" >> My stepdad. >> Can you go wait over there, please? Thank you. >> Over there. >> I know him. >> Well, my mom called somebody a pa or whatever there. I've never >> Yep. Can I see your hands? >> Turn them back over. Turn them back over. >> This is my baby earlier. It's a baby bite. >> It's definitely a baby. Let me see your neck. Pull your lip down for me. Okay. Yeah. Turn for me. >> Can I see your fingernails real quick? >> That's okay. >> Where is the Stanley Cup that hit you? Because that happened that bruise right there that's on your face. It happened within the past >> 30, 45 minutes. How did this end up hitting you in the face? Was it thrown at you? >> No. >> Did you bash yourself in the head with it? >> I don't think you do that. You seem like a >> not crazy person. You know what I'm saying? >> Love makes me crazy. >> It doesn't make you smash yourself in the head with a Stanley cup. I'm telling you that much. >> Like what what what's the issue? Like I said, if it's the working problem, hell, I could have been decided that. But me and her agreed to it or she agreed to forg me to stay home because she was going she she was tired of staying home because she wanted to work and make some good money. It's okay. That's not an issue. I want to work too. Every day for the past 5 months I'm saying hey I want to get a job. I want to get I'm a construction worker. I love construction but hell I got too fat. So it's like I know it a issue but you know I I go do something. >> You have a black eye from somebody punching you in the face. Mommy. >> So, who did it? >> Mommy. >> If I just said myself, she would be on the beat. >> Cuz I don't If you punched yourself that hard in the face, you're going to have knuckle marks. >> That's right. Which he does. You got to help me figure this out. >> But and she said, "Yeah, baby. I know you know things uh we we going to get better. We're going to get this apartment and everything's going to be situated. Everything's going to be better because we have no reliable babysitter. We we can't afford daycare. Our little one, he has autism. Oh, the oldest one has autism. He's 3 years old. So, we just got him into school. Uh, what? We We just got him into school and he goes on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Tomorrow's his picture day. >> Let's talk about the Stanley Cup. You're saying that she threw a Stanley Cup at you? >> Well, she got a Stanley cup and threw it, but I don't like I don't know what it hit. I don't know if it hit the seat, steer one, bounce back. I don't know what it did. >> I'm not in an abusive relationship where it's like, y know, we get called multiple times and then a woman doesn't want them to go to jail. They just want to be able. It's not that. It's not my situation. >> Okay. I didn't think it was. I've never met you before. We have people that are in that situation and we're talking to them once a day at least. >> And it's not funny. But >> it's not. But it's sometimes you got to laugh at other people's stuff. Like people laugh at my stuff. I think I'm going to be safe. >> You think there's nothing to worry about? >> Like how how' the Stanley Cup give you a black eye? >> You can just nod. >> He didn't look at it. >> So, how did how did it get there? How did it give you a black eye? I'll accept that answer. I just need to know how it happened without you telling me a lie like you did it yourself cuz I know that you did. You're not going to let me kill you. >> Not till I get to the bottom of it. I'm not going to keep you forever. I can't hold you hostage. Y'all got to eat at some point. Also, me. I'm hungry, too. I just want to know how this hurts you. >> It's heavy. You >> know it's heavy. I know it is. >> Yeah, I know. My girlfriend's got one. >> My girlfriend has one. slugs it everywhere. It's why her left biceps bigger than the rest of her body. I'm serious. I can promise you from growing up in a house where mom had black eyes and mom had bruises and mom had cuts all the time, it's it's not good for them to see stuff like this. Okay, that was my reality when I was his age. Even if they don't see it actually happen, they still see you crying right now. They see the bruise. They can't look away from it. And I might have never seen it happen, but once or twice, but I got to still see the bruises. You know what I'm saying? >> Give me one second. Okay. Oh, >> the the guy texting, whoever she was texting, cuz I wasn't impressed. She said Instagram. Then she said she blocked him on her phone because I like, "Show me the messages." You know, I was just being show messages. I was, you know, like out of out of that sentence. I said, "Just show me if you're not doing nothing." You know, I said, "Show it to me." She said, "No, she ain't got to. She ain't got no reason to." I said, "Okay, cool. didn't do nothing. We didn't say nothing or whatever. And then after that, after we left my grandma's house, I said I said uh said the same thing and she did it confidence. She pulled it up, everything just like that. I didn't grab her phone or nothing. She showed me, opened her messages, logged out, went to Instagram, logged out, did we did whatever she did. Okay, cool. That's fine. And she said, "I don't block his number and everything." I said, "Oh, his number." I said, "Oh, because you know, I was under impression." You said Instagram. I didn't know you were texting him is what I said. And all I said I said, "I'm going to go to AT&T and get the call log." That's all I said. And she said, "Oh my god, here you go with this." I said, "What?" I said, "I'm just trying to figure out." I said, "I just want to know who the guy is or, you know, see what's up." I'm like, "I'm not going to do nothing." I mean, this ain't the first time. Like I said, it's not the first time she's done this because this happened a couple years ago, too. But after that, this is when we started driving down the road and I grabbed her phone. I did, like I said, I snatched the phone, had it in my pocket. We pulled over there to Panero to try to get and that's when me and her like both did that. And next thing you know, that's where me and her I got out the car. She got out the car and everything. I threw the phone, but I picked it up. I went to go pick I threw it in the grass. I picked it up and then I had it in my pocket. I said, "No." And I was on the phone with her cousin. And I was telling her, I said, "It's crazy." And I asked her cousin cuz she's real close with her. I said, "Did you know about Caitlyn cheating on me or [ __ ] with another guy around, you know, behind my back or whatever." I said, "Cuz she's real close with you. You know, she talks to you and stuff." And she goes, "No." She said, she said, "No, not that. I know." Like she I said, "Well, you don't sound too convincing, you know." I said, "You sound like you knew something, but you know, I get it. You're going to keep a brief cousin. It's cool." Anybody can attest that we never have arguments. We never fight. We never do anything. >> All right. You stay with this officer for a second. >> Where were the kids when he hit you? >> He was in They weren't in the >> They weren't in the car? >> No. >> Okay. So, where did he hit you at? Did he hit you inside the car or were you guys standing outside or >> Huh? >> He didn't hit me. >> You just told that officer that he hit you.
