On October 8th, 2023, officers with the Ravenna City Police Department responded after receiving reports of a physical altercation between a store employee and a customer. Dispatch advised that one of the individuals had reportedly retrieved a metal pipe from a vehicle during the confrontation. What's going on? He's a [ __ ] He's a [ __ ] piece of [ __ ] What's going on? I went in there to get my [ __ ] >> he talking about? I think they just locked the doors for right now. Yeah, they locked the doors. Went in there, I had $15 off in lottery. Mhm. He scanned them, put them in. I got two $10 lottery tickets and two packs of cigarettes. Okay. $30. $35 minus the 15 is 20. He was charging me 50. Then started screaming at me. I called him a stupid [ __ ] He smacked the plastic thing, smacked me in the face. Okay. So, there I run his mouth, running his mouth. I finally walked outside, called you guys. Okay. He come out, got in the back seat of his car, got his tire iron out, walked all the way over here. He took a step, I hit him. If you want to arrest me for that, good luck. That was self-defense. Him coming from the back of his car, outside of the office, to the back of his car to here. So, He's lucky he doesn't have a bullet. So, so tell me again how this all started inside. I went in there with my 15 uh two lottery tickets. They were $15 were the winners. Mhm. Handed it to him. He cashed them in, said $15. I said, "Give me two number nines, two packs of Marlboro Black 100s." He grabbed me short. I've never called you for standing up for myself. Now, he want to be a part of police, but when he wanted to he was up here screaming and hollering at me. I told him to LEAVE THE STORE FIVE TIMES. 283 So, okay. And I hit him once in the back of the head, just so you know. I know how to fight, you can pull my record up and you'll find out. It's 7 years since I had to touch someone. All right. Like, this is [ __ ] He rings me up, he's like, "$50." I said, "No." First of all, $20 in lottery tickets, two bags of cigarettes are 35 bucks. 36 10 max. So, how am I at 50? Plus, you got to minus my lottery. That'll put us down to 20. Okay. Why you asking me my social? >> I can know who you are. Did you ask? Got him on the ground, he busted his head up. It smacked me dead in my face. We exchanged words, he kept coming around the counter. I walked outside. He went into the office. Okay. Kept talking [ __ ] I came out here, I called you guys. From there on, I put you guys in my phone call pocket, cuz he came out, got into his trunk, grabbed the metal tire iron, came over here, and that's when I punched him. So, did that guy allegedly like slam his head on the ground or did he fall down? >> No, he slammed my head on the [ __ ] ground. This guy hit the other guy first. He threw something at him in the store and then he hit him with something over there. Okay. I didn't hit that [ __ ] Oh, shut up, dude. I'm telling them like I seen it. I don't know you. So, Yeah, that guy started This guy started an argument about a a ticket trying to get a lottery ticket and this guy went up to him and threw him down on the display thing in the store. He come out here. This guy was walking away. He was talking to him and enough for the guy to come back and I was talking to him. He was holding his hands behind his back having everything. This guy hit him with a pipe. And then this guy come after him and punched him in the top of the head with a >> guy hit him with a pipe? Right. Okay. He hit this guy first. Okay. Reggie Milton was arrested and charged with assault and aggravated menacing following the incident. He was transported to the Portage County Jail and evidence including a metal pipe and store surveillance footage was collected and logged. Tamara Milton was also taken into custody for disorderly conduct after repeatedly refusing officers commands at the scene and was later released with a summons.
