most police officers often feel overly entitled leading them to intimidate citizens but what happens when these same entitled officers are humbled by citizens who know their rights here are times when citizens humbled entitled cops in Harrison New York a citizen encountered two police officers responding to a dispatch call at the New York Post Office about someone filming the building one of the officers decided to question him for recording outside the post office the citizen well aware of his rights confidently educated the officers a effectively humbling them here's the interaction that followed hey how are you I didn't hear you AES po of Harrison Police you taking pictures of the post office or yeah any particular reason or do I need a reason no you don't need a reason but what's up bud or something what's your name and badge number oh you can that's that's my what were you do to takeing pictures question you have to answer my question okay I actually you're being recorded officer the fonts okay the fonts 142 okay so what were we taking pictures of taking pictures we're just curious we got a couple of calls that you're taking pictures in the area any particular reason you taking the pictures or not is the reason why you're recording yes because it's part of our procedure okay okay so that's fine so any reason you take a picture so then quicker we can get out of here do I need a reason yeah you need a reason a lengthy discussion ensued between the officer on the right and the citizen during which the officers failed to provide a reasonable suspicion to justify their request for his ID there's a reason for everything okay so what's your reason do I need a reason yes it explains to you you do do you have ID with you sir for what so I could identify you what crime do you suspect me committing I don't know you're not you're not helping me answer questions so I don't know if you did a crime or didn't do a crime so why are you asking me for ID because I'm trying to figure out what's going on here and you're not being you need Reasonable artical Suspicion yes I have C suspicion my suspicion is of what crime calls you were coming in the area what crime do you suspect me of committing Federal Building sir okay and we got a lot of calls we've been having a lot of crime here a lot of people been stealing from mailboxes that we just want to make sure what crime saying at you you're not listening I'm trying to exp you're not answering my question you're being very difficult what crime do you suspect me of committing I'm trying to get to the reporting party we did they why they brought us here we're checking what did they tell you what's that sir what did they tell you they were filming the building oh is that a crime I didn't say it was a crime so why you need my ID just just want to know what's going on what brings you in the area that's all just asking simple questions that's all so once you ask me for ID and you can't come up reason about that's when I get upset no I did give you a reason because we had a lot of issues I told you beenal from in order to ask my ID you need to have ra reasonable ticket was specula a crime shaking your nervous don't I mean you guys got guns don't wor we got don't worry why we got so in the end of the day somebody called and said Somebody's out there taking pictures videos of the building it's for to them it appeared to be a suspicious activity they reported to us we come here we talk to you ask a few questions you know we just got want to make sure you you know whatever you're doing it's it's not compromising anybody's safety in this building and if that's the fact then you go on with your T what's the safe deal so so can I ask so did you go inside did you have argument with them are you pissed off with them is it is it something else going on or you only taking pictures of the building I don't care about nobody in there I never I've never even been inside that building in my entire life have I ever Ste foot in that building had an argument with them and now you're reporting outside that what they reported no no what did they report they said somebody outside is taking video or pictures of the building and appears to be suspicious is that a crime it's not a crime but like so just racist it ends where it starts there's a guy outside taking pictures but you see your behavior why we're little we want to leave we want to leave you alone believe me we want to go I mean am I the no you're not okay so you can leave me alone we just want to know what I don't know why it's a it's a simple question because the whole thing is simple you see me on the public sidewalk taking pictures and you're like why what's your reason for taking pictures and I ask you do I need a reason to take a pictures in public on such a beautiful day all right so and you're like yes you need a reason no I do not need a reason just trying to keep theace and I'm trying to keep the peace too but you're making it more complicated I'm just a private citizen in America exercising my rights on the public sidewalk that's fine if people feel uncomfortable that's because they're ignorant to our rights that's where you guys come in the guys that took the oath to our rights and you educate the reporting party Hey listen he's just on the public sidewalk taking pictures so that's all so we got your side of the story we got rather than telling me yeah you need a reason I don't need a reason no sir we just needed your side of the story so tell there is no side of the the citizen as he clearly knew his rights filming on public Federal property is a constitutional right the officers may or may not have known this but they were certainly educated in an epic fashion however this isn't the only time entitled cops faced resistance as we see in the next case this interaction took place between two random citizens and two police officers who were left speechless after failing to engage the citizens standing outside a Checker's restaurant the officers ultimately faced a walk of Shame silent forat absolutely I was Dr C one of those does sound pretty good I know the next case this interaction began when a citizen started filming the entrance of a medical hospital a staff member whose attitude earns her the nickname Karen immediately began yelling that he wasn't allowed to film the facility a female security officer then approached and attempted to stop him but was quickly put in her place the Karen staff member proceeded to call the police can't be up here cuz I have patience and they have patient confidentiality this isn't a public area this right here is is medical you can do it on the street but these people are for my patients and it's medical I would ask if you please respect that that would be nice once I'm done documenting and everything everything all good and take off really it would just be nice just don't cause a problem please go over there I'm not causing a problem I'm documenting your signs I don't want I'm going to and have you know trespassed also go for it do your thing can you just leave please my car are you one of those she she already said she's going to call the cops I'll wait for the cops are you one of those like no trespass us where is I want to make no trespassing so the parking lot's off limits to this in front of his vehicle still trying to interfere this isn't the last case of entitled cops getting brutally humbled by citizens as we will see in this next case in a video posted in February 2022 police officers in Boulder Colorado a attempted to intimidate and pull a fast one on an educated citizen they claimed to have reasonable suspicion that he was drinking alcohol in public even though he was clearly holding a bottle of Pepsi knowing his rights he engaged in a discussion with the officers educating them and refusing to let them have their way ultimately the cops had to leave knowing they had just been owned hey gentlemen how you doing tonight great what you out there man what do you mean uh what kind of Beverage is that look like a Pepsi stay your distance pleas stay your distance yeah I don't want two guys with guns coming up on me oh we're police officers maybe you didn't know I don't care whether you're police officers or the Mafia the mafia yeah you guys are
