you've done something wrong but the suspects in today's episode took things to a whole new level and decided to flee for the dumbest reasons from one woman who just had to finish her McDonald's bger to a suspect aching for a cigarette join us for the dumbest reasons people run from traffic stops have you had anything a drink tonight no just going to have to ask you straight up straight up no okay on the 26th of January 2024 what began as a simple traffic stop for speeding and driving erratically without the headlights on took a terrible turn for the worse but let's start at the beginning when everything seemed like it was going pretty smoothly hello hello are you okay yes okay well I pulled you over I'm sorry I was talking the phone while I was D yeah I pulled you over because I mean you're going in and out of lanes without a turn signal and you're going 50 m per hour down here and it's 30 m hour yeah and you don't have your lights on you don't have your headlights on these lights are so bad I feel like like these are my rights and these are my rights so okay right right okay well they're not on at all no no did you notice how the suspect avoided making eye contact with the officer she was probably trying to hide the fact that she was drunk as a skunk it backfired however because it was clearly another red flag for the officer are you doing okay tonight yes okay I saw you leaving McDonald's just getting some food mhm okay and I'm down the street from my home so okay okay have you had anything to drink tonight no just going to have to ask you straight up straight up no okay where you coming from uh I'm coming from home okay you just went to McDonald's from home I just went to get some food and I'm coming back home okay I didn't even bring my wallet out with my ID how did you purchas in McDonald's because I got Apple pay oh do you have so you don't have your ID on you then okay I'll just take your name do you have proof of insurance are you able to look have that in the car your phone not my car this is my auntie's car just stay in the car and then um whose car is this are you able to you have a phone car okay you don't have a phone to contact anybody to get proof insurance I could call her but it's like midnight I doubt she answer the B okay well maybe try it because if you can't provide proof of insurance and I have to give you the no insurance ticket you can give me the ticket I'm not even going to bother with it okay all right just stay in the car for me okay the officer goes back to her car and tells her partner she'll most likely have to get the suspect out of the car as she now believes the driver's most likely Under the Influence but she soon found out it was easier said than done all right Shannon right is Johnson all right I'm going to be honest with you I don't know if you're okay to drive right now would you be okay with me putting you through some tests and make sure you're okay to Drive no I wouldn't okay he's on right down the stre so okay well I'm going to be honest with you your eyes look little bit blood shot okay just learn your words and the way you were driving as I was in rout to another call kind of concerns me have the call you saw me S because I was talking the phone okay okay I'm just going to park come me where I'm going to park no we're not going to drive away from the traffic we're not going to drive away from the traffic stop she just drive away from the traffic stop it's nice out chill these cops are in most cases the cops run back to their vehicles shouting un annoyed but these guys took the Snoop Dog approach and just chilled out they knew of course that they'd eventually get their suspect after all she'd sped off into a parking lot and had nowhere to run seriously we're in the parking lot day 51 Miss johnon I need you to unlock the [Applause] car open no Miss Johnson I need you to unlock the car [Music] all right when you stand up I need to put your hands behind your back you're under arrest that's fine okay put your hands behind your back hands behind your back we're hands behind your back why are you being because I've given you multiple commands and you're refusing to comply stop stop can you on it's not that clear why Miss Johnson decided to run from a traffic stop by the looks of it she was just desperate to finish her McDonald's burger but this trip to McDonald's was so bad that it was about to land Miss Johnson in jail was it more important stop moving I'm not going to ask you again you don't have to ask me I already got rough with me stop what is the matter what does it matter now you going to call me against the for no reason off it's locked handcuffs I've locked you just being aggressive for no reason let's continue with this aggressiveness the right exactly just doing the most I'm trying not to have you fall into the snow I can see where the car is the female officer proceeded to search the suspect while Miss Johnson kept saying that the officers were being too aggressive thankfully she did so casually in a non-threatening way at least she opted for the more tolerable option but what are you searching for I'm under arrest I'm under arrest for what why are you searching for there there was nothing against your safety the car was your against your safety please thank you seing for nothing is doing the Molly like down need to get some thing in order something fell out catch it look at it please step out Miss Johnson we're going to walk into this door over here you need help a big girl got it all right let's want that door right there I promise this will go a lot easier if you go with the program I'm going with the program fine y'all just don't like how I'm with yeah and I'm walking well that's why I said face the consequences but the closer she got to that jail cell the more agitated she became at some point the officers had to secure her to a bench by force because she kept wiggling out of their grasp so we're on the same page let's do this [ __ ] you don't have to talk to me you don't have to sweet talk me because I feel like it's it's a it's an unnecessary arrest I have to search you one more time search me again cuz I slipped some [ __ ] in my pocket when you arrested me this way no okay you got to do what we ask do make you can make me do it and it'll happen why are you kicking me why are you kicking me because I positioned myself comfortable you're waiting for our welc no nobody wants any problems you're the because I just spread my legs you want to kick me you and uh [ __ ] you're trying to kick police officers we all witnessed it okay did not I just spread my uncuff this inck it go ahead do it do the one handed do that you got body cans right y'all got body cans y'all got body cans oh we going to be aggressive with this hand right shut the up I'm just getting more comfortable after refusing a breath test the suspect was charged with DUI speeding 15 to 20 mph over the limit operating an uninsured Mot motor vehicle failing to Signal when required disobeying a traffic control signal driving without lights when required fleeing to elude an officer and obstructing and resisting an officer usually with these simple traffic stops we're not dealing with career criminals these folks are just ordinary people who for some odd reason decided to make a stupid choice now let's take a look at a couple who on May 29th 2024 made several extremely dumb decisions and paid for them dearly stay in the car no car car sit in the car tag sit in the car Alpha Romeo 02 xray golf that's all he's trying to do no I'm no sit in the car no no he's tell me turn off the car okay you need to sit in the car sit in the car or I'mma put you in handcuffs sir water No 5 I got the driver rning through the Shelf gas station the officer initiated the traffic stop when he noticed the license plate on the vehicle was invalid but things quickly turned into a Sprint around the gas station the real question here is why was the guy running maybe guns or maybe it was drugs if the officer wants to find out he's going to have to catch up with him first he's running out to flea Masters Hispanic male black shirt black shorts he lost his slides stop running car is it took off while the officer ran after the man the woman in the car decided to bail notice that one lady who tried to persuade the woman not to leave she played a very key role in things as she alerted the Second Officer that there were in fact two runaways here meanwhile the first officer was catching up to the male suspect get on get on the ground on the ground what happened you got multiple running to [Music] you what kind of car was I got okay that's a light hondai up the tag is AAG supposed to be [Music] onest approaching it remember the driver I have the driver the front pasture is going to be a black female there also could be kids in the back seat and speaking of dumb decisions not only did the suspects run from the cops and potentially in danger a multitude of civilians with reckless driving but they also put their children's lives in Jeopardy it's definitely not a good memory for the kids put your hands up your hands up hands up 53 out the vehicle G Point port and Douglas Hands Up Everybody Get Your Hands Up only okay get your hands up okay it's just it's just you okay okay okay the 13-year-old was not alone there were four kids in the car imagine being so callous as to put your kids through an ordeal like that with the officer shouting and pointing guns at them that's enough to scar someone for Life Touch me go ahead I just want to see okay calm down okay why what is going on okay we'll explain everything to you second just hang out I just want to look at my kids please okay who with you my kids the kids yes yes can you let me see my kids that's a give us okay okay how many kids are in the vehicle four okay it's going to be all kids yeah it's going to be all [Music] kids we're secur everybody we have this Sol no h oh yeah so why the hell would you do that stupid just when you think this can't be any more stupid it turns out there were no drugs involved or guns the suspect said he simply ran because he was driving without a license then he said something in Spanish that turned out to be even more stupid because his wife told him his wife told him to run my wife stop turning moving get in the car someone give me a r can you give me right back thanks allor right nobody running Cod at this point oh my God my baby what the why is this thing smoking I have no idea I'm G to turn this turn this car off it's smoking up a storting if you can cut off the switch what's up to cut it he's asking how to turn it off how turn it off cut the the switch on the bottom that that switch right there that toggle switch it's hanging down that's two one no no no underneath here Swit right there it's already off it no no it was on still it's a toggle switch if there was any silver lining in all this it's that Grandma was coming to to pick the kids up thankfully they weren't being sent to Child Services because placing them in foster care would most likely traumatize them further as the officers tried to explain to the female that her license wasn't valid suddenly she could not comprehend English so unfort yeah you have no license your license is not valid I don't speak Spanish but I speak you speak English perfectly I do your understanding just fine listen you don't have a license your license is invalid okay plus I don't know why I'll look into it to see exactly why but your license is not valid okay plus you got kids in the backseat of the vehicle that don't have proper restraints so you're going to get tickets for that as well okay and then you're probably going to get hit with resisting also because an officer does a traffic stop your boyfriend husband baby dad whoever takes off running and then you get in the car and you decide to leave I was never I was nervous I didn't know what officer does a traffic stop the car stop the car and stop the car and all the occupants are detained and now free to leave you leaving is resisting that officers okay okay I I wasn't driving do you have anything on that you should have Searcher perect after getting searched both suspects were taken to jail and charged with driving while license suspended and resisting arrest without violence and that's how you turn a simple trip to the grocery store into a traumatic experience for everyone involved our next incident took place on September 30th 2024 in Barton County Kansas a vehicle traveling south found on Main Street caught the attention of a Barton County Deputy after the driver failed to stop at the stop line at the intersection of tenth and Maine the deputy initiated a traffic stop 64 dispatch 44 644 be at the syx and amide off Morton Kansas 28 11127 Adam David Robert VI Mustang [Music] hello hey I'm de f b County Sheriff's Office re for stop today and you're at the stoplight over on 10th in Maine crossed over The Pedestrian Walk Line it's illegal okay at first everything seemed to be going smoothly immediately upon seeing the deputy the driver pulled into a gas station the deputy approached the vehicle identified himself and explained the reason for the traffic stop he then asked the driver for an ID and that's when things really started going downhill okay do you have your driver's license proof of insurance today okay are you the registered owner of the vehicle can you hand it to me please yes you do okay I'm going to ask you then I'm going to tell you then I'll make you okay can you hand me your driver's license please can you please my name is Deputy F Bar County Sheriff's Office my badge number is 64 yes you did no I can I please see your identification see the camera on the step out of vehicle step out of vehicle now what's your name in B step out of the vehicle now get out St 39 get your hands behind your back put your hands behind your back the young man disobeyed the deputy's lawful orders and refused to produce the necessary documents then he continued resisting when the officer opened the car door and pulled him out the question now is will he calm down or will he manage to break free and make a run for it I will take you I will Tas you okay get down get down on the ground now get down on the ground get down Chas your deployed do not move do not move get down on the ground turn around turn around put your hands out stay in that position yes sir 64 dispatch could you also get a hold of a K9 unit please you need my name and bad number I'm sorry sir do not move stay right there keep your hands behind you I got you I don't got nothing sir you could Pat me down and everything I'm not going to do that until more people arrive yes sir as soon as he felt that jolt of electricity going through his body the driver immediately became cooperative was like someone turned a switch but the deputy here didn't want to take any chances he played it safe and waited for the [Music] calvary stay just like that do not move how we doing yes please thanks guys you have anything on you I get nope stay right there for I want to make sure you don't have anything on you then we'll get you as the officers got ready to search the suspect one of them decided to inform the young man of his rights then as they pulled him up off the ground the full extent of his injuries became apparent you have this beautiful thing called the ride from you right now this way godam yeah I'm not taking that one out okay we'll leave that one let's put them in front of my gu so why am I getting arrested I don't know I wasn't I just got here M interference some might argue that the officer jumped the gun so to speak what do you think did he really have to pull the driver out so quickly was he escalating things when it really wasn't called for well the driver certainly thought so but he still didn't seem too rattled despite taking quite a nasty fall I wasn't interfering he didn't want to display your driver's license to me I just showed you through the mirror spin around and sit no yeah how we do it spin around and sit then you tried to flee right no you tried to run cuz you tased me and pulled me out of my car for no reason I told you I might ask you I'm going to tell you and then I'm make you okay right I could I show you my driver's license I didn't know no you're going to jail today the state of Kansas you have to present a driver's license hand over if you don't know that's why I told you right yes sir okay I'm sure he explained it to you several times he just told me once I didn't know how much is my bom going to be we'll figure all that out of the jail okay so is this a felony we'll figure that out later okay I'm sorry about that I didn't know this sir the deputy then called EMS because the suspect had to be medically evaluated before being taken to jail and even though the young man HIIT his face on the pavement pretty hard after being tased he remained calm and Cooperative not to mention respectful he just pulled me out right afterwards all we have EMS it's going to show up check you out okay yes sir 64 and6 ksas 27 the reason I ran was cuz I thought this was like all bad King 04 394 865 bad could you turn off my usually in situations like these a tow service is called to remove the vehicle while waiting for EMS to arrive the cops were kind enough to let the young man choose from several tow services it just goes to sh that a little politeness can go a long way also if you have an x41 rout sear that you want Marshalls or marmy or who do you want to tell your car they can't be parked there Marshalls Marshalls 64 dispatch owners requiring cor requesting Marshalls how we doing guys doing good check yeah he's got teas deployment they should be behind him and then all right you want to do it here yeah that's fine how you feeling I'm going to cut this car off and check through the suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Daniel Zuniga of Hoisington seeing the injury on his head it's admirable how he didn't argue with the officers but did the opposite EDD he apologized for creating such a mess sir if you explained it to me I would have gave it to you so I'm sorry if a if a officer gives you a command what do you do probably listen right okay probably don't argue right probably would have let you go with the warning right yeah run yeah taser and you might remember how the deputy asked for a canine unit presumably thinking there were drugs but there were no drugs found and it turned out the kid ran out of sheer ignorance but unfortunately ignorance of the law excuses no one so he was then charged with battery of a law enforcement officer interference with a law enforcement officer and traffic charges he later posted a bond of $2,500 young people tend to be full of themselves yet inexperienced in how life works so it's not that surprising when they do dumb stuff in our next case however the suspect was an elderly woman who kept harassing the customers at Love's truck stop in Oklahoma after refusing to leave the employees had no choice but to call the cops where she at B Dodge a short bed Dodge yeah it's a doge on this side yeah this side of okay she's been stay in here according to the employee the suspect spent the last few weeks living in this Dodge Ram which was parked beside the dumpsters behind the truck stop she was most likely homeless as she'd been asking people for money and in general being a nuisance and these officers were about to experience that themselves Police Department Frank King Victor open the door and talk to me I can't hear you I can't hear what you're saying guess I can just open it open the door break it huh what point do you what 1688 can you confirm with the RP they want her trespass it's it's not it's it's not on 911 now you obviously don't or you wouldn't be doing this yeah F she's refusing to exit the vehicle I open it or I'm going to break it we're going to break the window if you don't open it are you good I'm going to grab my baton real quick she kept refusing to open the door leaving the cops with few options but to break the window after giving her multiple warnings and notifying the dispatcher of the situation one of the officers walked over to his vehicle to retrieve a baton when the suspect realized the cops meant business she did this open it open [Music] it 1688 just tried to run us [Music] over she took off westbound I bested the window and she tried to run us over [Music] it's got a paper tag on it westbound approaching C of [Music] BL she's driving in the turn light to be completely honest it didn't really look like the suspect tried to run them over but it's understandable the officer felt that way since he was standing pretty close to the vehicle the female driver was probably pretty agitated herself and didn't even realized she had all four blinkers on not a good way to be inconspicuous when you're trying to evade police mil hour in the turn L westbound passing push-up station [Music] tbii successful tvi push them 70 let me see your hands let me see your hands hands now let me see your hands hey Chris Chris her driver side window is already busted out let me see your hands get out of the truck get out of the truck get out of the car get out of the truck get out laying on the horn do what only one yeah just one that I can see after a successful tactical vehicle intervention otherwise known as a pit maneuver the cops now found themselves in a standoff the suspect just sat there honking the horn and the cops didn't know if she was armed or what to expect next gr can you see anybody else get out of the top I'm going to grab my rifle Grand yeah what the pH now back no we'll just hold her until yeah out of the truck the vehicle hand [Music] up the officers obviously felt they might be in danger and decided to wait for additional B backup to move in closer they Ed the car as a shield at that point the suspect started barricading the windows increasing the tension in an already difficult situation she's still refusing to get out of the vehicle barricading the windows I'm going to walk around the other side Graham refusing to get out oh what you got Graham go [Music] ahead get out of the car so pull around Chris's car and we're going to drive up the hill with your car as cover slow down a little bit where you at Chris get out little ahead gram the she's out on the ground she's out you're good Graham get on the ground get on the ground Grant she exited the vehicle on the ground going back eastbound get on the [Music] ground as soon as they saw the suspect get out of the car and try to leave an officer rushed her tackling her to the ground it soon became clear that she wasn't as big of a threat as they initially thought all right we're good you yours should listen I did nothing got a you are okay okay well okay hold on you're up but get you [Music] up I have a medical condition okay you violated everyone in my god-given rights good citizen help me help me help me m you got a single cage don't you I nothing WR ready you going to stand up ready I I need stand you heard me walk that way you heard me after disobeying the cops fleeing and alluding then disobeying them once again the suspect now claimed that the officers were the ones violating her rights she claimed she had back surgery and that the officers were hurting her for no reason I don't I can't just try to walk and we'll get you some help all right you did this to me illegally ille get up come on now I can't my leg we get you some help I don't want your medical help iuse your medical help you can tell the the hospital that I told you that you I haven't yet yeah I got and my little my ID you're not taking my ID my ID you can have it back yeah well you had no right to take it you don't even have a once you had no right to break in the the suspect was placed in the squad car and she continued berating and cursing at the office officers she's now facing charges of obstruction resisting arrest misuse of 911 and aggravated assault and battery on an officer next we head down to sunny Florida where on March 26 2024 in Santa Rosa County a deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle at first the woman behind the wheel failed to stop but then she changed her mind and pulled over in a parking lot and that was pretty much the full extent of her cooperation stop your vehicle stop your vehicle or I will pit you out stop the vehicle do me a favor set the radio off step out I need to talk to you for a second I'm not stepping the car can I help ma'am listen 174 can I get another unit she's refusing to step out of the vehicle and talking what do normal please I will tell you in a second I need you to step out all right listen ma'am I'm 10:34 not right now listen you're coming this close all right you're about to go to jail all right I I'll explain everything to you if you step out I'm telling you right now to step out of the vehicle or you are going you are going to go to jail if you do not step out of the vehicle I will tell you that in a second tell me now I don't have to tell you that I'm telling you to step out now I'm giving you a lawful order okay incidents like these happen fairly often a cup pulls a vehicle over and the driver refuses to cooperate under the pretense of not feeling safe the officer here didn't appear to be aggressive whatsoever he simply approached the vehicle and asked the driver to step out which was well within his authority and he even gave the driver multiple opportunities to comply you were going 60 MPH and 45 all right step out of the vehicle or I'm going to take you to jail right now do you understand that I have other units coming right now step out or you are going to jail for resisting I'm not I'm not playing around with you you almost got pitted out all right you for failing to stop I turned my sirens on Sir hold on a second hold on a second listen I ma'am you are I'm as soon as another listen I'm telling I am right now I'm telling you step out of the vehicle I don't want to talk to you in the car get out of the vehicle get out of the vehicle ma'am once another unit comes I'm busting this window and I am dragging you out bust my window car you're not even letting me talk and let me explain I don't need I don't need you I'm telling you to step out I am legally allowed to tell you to step out I don't I don't care what you think I am telling you right now to step out of the vehicle or you going to jail I'm giving you one last chance if you do not step out of this vehicle I am taking you to jail for resisting that is it the end of discussion you are going to jail I will break this window and I will remove you forcefully you can do whatever you think offic Z Zer Zer yes ma'am I'm telling you now if you think officer Zar should have had a calmer approach keep in mind the suspect was speeding then refused to stop and then continued arguing according to Pennsylvania versus Mims an officer has the right to order a person out of a car following a traffic stop and conduct a pat down for weapons which in no way violates the Fourth Amendment please step out of the vehicle I don't have to explain myself to you that is a lawful order you should probably understand what the law is Sir because you're wrong good to go I'm not wrong do not bust my window I'm going to bust your window if you not step out of the vehicle to have a I don't need to have a conversation with you inside the vehicle I am giving you a lawful order this is the last time good to go you are going to jail right now for resisting no because you're not talking to me you're being very rude 174 good to go I'm we're not having I'm done talking to you came to me cool calm and Collective he was already on 10 coming to me and that's very disrespectful as the suspect explained her side of the story for several minutes the sergeant just kept quiet and listened he might have even fallen asleep halfway into it then in the middle of her explanation he started talking to another officer everybody always goes 60 down here everybody always and I'm just trying to go home so I could get to my kid and my family hey Carrie if you have any experience with seizures can you do you've seized cars before right why would you be seizing my car we got to we got then he decided enough was enough he told the woman that he'd take a look at the body cam footage and see if any mistakes were made do you have any do you have any questions or anything when can I go I'm not going going no you're going to jail and we're taking your car for fle for failing to stop and refusing Le okay we're done I'm not I was not fail stop pull over see now you're being ruled too unfortunately for her the cops here were done talking they eventually pushed and pulled the woman into the vehicle once in jail they charged the woman with obstruction without violence and failing to obey the officer's order to stop the vehicle what do you think do you think she got off too easy if you think that woman was acting strange just Wy to see the next one on March 19th 2023 a drunk young lady crashed into several cars before driving straight into a traffic light at a very busy intersection bystanders there immediately called the cops and when they got there it was a circus to say the least God damn it are you okay your car oh am she's dropped she ran into all the cars hello there's two cars in the apartment complex she I doil on the I will I'm ordering you to do that right now I her groceries and that blaring horn than the lives of pedestrians and other drivers she endangered as the officers conducted the investigation one of the cops asked the suspect to stand next to his suspect failed the sobriety test and was placed under arrest the cops assured the woman that all of her belongings as well as her dog would be given to her mom even so as soon as they put the Cuffs even though our next suspect wasn't drunk he might have been under the influence of something else this incident occurred on the 30th of June 2024 when a wallworth County Sheriff's deputy conducted a me over the two deputies immediately engaged in Pursuit the high-speed chase had them going over a 100 miles an hour but it wasn't going to last for long a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper attempted to
