from a Grand Rapids traffic stop that escalated into a fatal encounter with the officer now facing a second deegree murder charge to a Pasco County gas station confrontation where a suspect's Defiance turned deadly here are six times when cops accidentally became Killers starting with the T struggle in Grand Rapids let go this is Officer Christopher Sher from the Grand Rapids Police Department on April 4th 2022 officer Sher pulled over Patrick leya a 26-year-old driver officer sure told him that the license plates on his car did not belong to the vehicle hence he asked him to identify himself however the traffic stop escalates so quickly over a minute that it is about to get fatal let go the taser no he ain't grab no taser all see I see that let go the taser many drop taser everyone get back officer shur requested Mr leya's license or identification which prompted Mr leya to flee officer shur swiftly caught up with him leading to a struggle despite his efforts the officer was unable to use his taser effectively and warned let go of the taser ultimately officer Sher drew his gun and fired a single shot to Mr leya's head Mr leya died on the spot despite the medical staff trying life-saving procedures subsequent records revealed Mr leya's blood alcohol content was 0.29 three times the legal limit for driving officer Sher was placed on administrative leave and was charged with altercation one officer discharged a weapon striking the suspect once officers immediately detained the suspect secured the pistol and provided medical assistance until Houston fire department paramedics arrived the suspect was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased if you think such evil cops can become Killers then you probably haven't heard of this next case repeatedly urging the officer to just kill me despite their pleas for him to drop the weapon Mr Hong Advanced aggressively making the officers Retreat while maintaining their weapons drawn watch how attempting to grab his gun as the struggle continued officer bidinger fired four more shots ultimately stopping Mr Hong he was pronounced dead at the scene and both officers have been placed on
