authority didn't hold back from idiot rookie cops you were in the you were in I was in the vehicle driver driver seat I was in the driver's seat but I was not driving okay were you in the driver seat in this veh I had just parked when he showed up I had parked okay this man was sitting in his parked car outside a row of houses when a cop showed up demanding his driver's license and identification this couldn't be a traffic stop because the man hadn't been driving and so identification was not required but the Cop made a whole show out of it that's it so you admit to driving to this place I admit that I pulled up okay just your driver no because I'm not driving okay I'm not driving huh is this your car my father's wife okay I need to see your driver's license because you did admit to operating this vehicle not when you were here it do matter when you I need to be driving I need to be driving okay I need to be driving you give me a citation you can put it in the mail because I'm parked the wrong way no yes that's how it works you give me a warning or you give me a citation put it in the mail because if you go you can go down to that guy you can go down to that guy and the other one over there give them a citation you were in the driver St this car it doesn't matter I was not driving car was in park the car was in park the engine's running correctly it doesn't matter it was you're operating a vehicle it was in par okay when when it's in par the car is not operating yes it is when it's not when it's going run when it's no yes it is if it's part it's in part it's in part engine's running yeah the cop tried different tactics to get the man to comply he went from Pure intimidation to dirty manipulation but none of these worked order for me to get what's your name there the black one yeah we're not talking about that car and we are conducting an investigation once the investigation and the disturbance that we were sent here to what's disturbance I don't know only him because he didn't want to get off his truck and take a picture we had just pulled in the park and he got all up at e and he said can you move so we can so what's your name and date of birth of the road you parked on the wrong side of the road and now this vehicle sitting here with the keys in ignition running and it's on occupied is yours on y your car is is it occupied off didn't you was parked right there way before no matter how hard the cop tried from forcing the man to admit that he drove there to claiming that his car was wrongly parked all his efforts were in vain and he couldn't get the suspect to bend to his will but this isn't the first time a police officer would try all sorts of lies and tricks to get a citizen to do their bidding what's going on not much just walking around videotaping the police department's not a good idea why you guys are friendly people we are but why are we doing this why wouldn't we cuz it's a security issue for us is it it is I don't think so this is John Mitchell who had been filming around a police department when he was approached by Officer Todd Hines and asked to provide identification Mitchell knew he didn't have to comply and so he promptly declined but things didn't end there it is it's public property it is public property but when you start recording our perimeter and our gates and what our activities are it's a it's a concern to us I've only been here for about 15 minutes right we had officers that drove by and saw you pulling out of here walking out of here and said that you were recording them as they left I did yeah and that's an issue why are we doing that I don't have to have a reason you don't have a reason I don't have to have one okay do you have a driver's license I could see I don't what is your name I'm not going to give that to you you're not going to give it to me no why would I give it to you I haven't done anything wrong well you're recording our property you're recording our building sure and it's a security issue for us am I being detained you are okay until I can get you identify what's your reasonable sus so what law are you what what law do you suspect me of breaking are you looking to create a problem here for us no not at all I'm being poite and cordial I'm being poite and cordial too so I'm asking so we can identify officer Hines quickly decided that a citizen who exercised their rights was simply being difficult but this didn't change the situation as Mitchell remained unfazed I don't need to and be on our way why would I need to identify myself cuz I'm asking you to identify yourself what's your name and badge number my name is Todd kind my badge number is 200 okay your name and badge recording you just like you're recording okay good so okay well I mean I'd like to be on my way to go I mean you have to you're refusing to identify yourself well there's no need toing to create problems is what you're doing is that what I'm doing by just fing and exercising My First Amendment right that is my opinion yes okay well the good thing is the law doesn't go off your opinion but it does when you're obstructing our requests you can't you you can request right but it's not a lawful order it is a lawful order at this point if you if and as soon as my sergeant gets up here he's going to tell you the same thing officer Hines thought his Sergeant would have his back regardless of whether or not he was wrong but he had another thing coming this gentleman's got a First Amendment right he says to videotape our activities around the police department and is refusing to identify himself so that we know who we're dealing with okay you don't want to identify yourself who you I don't need to he said he doesn't suspect me of a crime or anything and I'm just I'm just asking no but no sir I don't I'm just asking okay we're good let's go in just a few minutes the sergeant had reduced the situation to the minor interaction it should have been and Mitchell was allowed to be on his way officer Hines on the other hand was left in humiliated silence but if you think rookie cops are the only ones who work themselves in humiliating situations like this wait until you hear about this police chief what are you doing here say hello was that illegal no yeah no sir uh the reason why we're stopping because the wi tent violation I blink my blue light at you let you know who I was yes sir well we didn't know with it you know that's not a government tag that is that is a unofficial tag that that tag is not even on file I said yes well we have to catch up the bill to run it and everything like that sir so so I won't blank my BL at you next time this is the Zebulon police chief who had been pulled over for a window tint violation and was violent from the moment he stepped out of his vehicle his attitude only worsened when another cop arrived at the scene I'll let you just sit back I was just speaking I'm the police nice to meet you sir Matt po worked for me your Chief worked for me yes sir there's no need to get upset I'm I'm I'm upset because I spoke to you when I come by and now you're pulling me sir I've to talk to the attending officers but for all his arrogance and uppity Behavior it was clear that he simply felt embarrassed that he had been pulled over but of all the sharp lessons that have been taught so far this last one Takes the Cake when it comes to schooling unruly rookie cops just do your job no okay well you stand back over there taking my attention away from this traffic stop stand back over traffic stop I'll stand over here but go over there go somewhere just get away from my traffic stop you need to get better attitude at your age you're going have getting H you're young I am sir so you need to learn to deal with the public cuz we're going to start videoing you more and more you can be nicer to people just way moving around in my stop taking my focus off man like I'm having the focus see what you're doing I'm watching my my man here on my traffic St but you need to learn to deal with public we're going to be following you around watching yall well that attitude you going get my heard that's not what we're out to do so but youall have a good Labor Day weekend one could see the moment this rookie cop's demeanor changed to being more humble he must have quickly
