I don't have >> I know, but we don't want you to go in your >> pocket. You just try to eat it. >> Yeah, I think so. >> What's going on? >> I don't know. You tell me, madam. >> Well, I don't know. We got to call. You pull a knife on somebody. >> How do you pull no knife on nobody? >> It doesn't have to be like this. All we have to do is go talk to them. >> Oh, YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK MY ARM WITH THAT [screaming] THING ON THERE. >> In everyday encounters, most people seem calm, friendly, and harmless. But when the pressure builds and tempers flare, things can quickly go from zero to 100. The cops understand how quickly things can spiral out of control as they often see their suspects go through a terrifying change from being nice to being a nightmare. >> I don't like doing this what y like doing. That's what I like doing. Yes, Lord. >> On November 27th, 2024, police were dispatched to a residence after reports of a domestic disturbance between a young couple and a parent. And while it seemed like an openandshot case, it quickly escalated when someone refused to follow their orders. >> What's going on? >> So, I'm sorry. I made a false hoax cuz me and my boyfriend got into a big argument and he moved my stuff outside. So, I got upset and called you guys. I apologize. >> Okay. Do you need law enforcement? >> No. No. Do you want medical attention or anything like that? >> No. I apologize. >> You're okay. Did anything physical happen or anything like that? >> No. >> Are you just saying that so that we leave? >> Yeah. >> Nothing. Nothing happened. >> Who is this female? Do you know who she is? >> My mother. >> She's going to be the one who's going to tell who's going to say that Clayton's the good that's the one that came out to talk to you first. I'm going just tell you that. Where's the Where's your boyfriend at? >> He's inside. >> He's inside. >> Yeah. He's the one who moved all my stuff out. The one that yells and screams. I mean, we have it on camera. >> It was clear that the woman, China, was leaving out information, trying to make herself look good. She said the whole situation was overblown, and she just wanted to leave. But to get to the bottom of things, the cops first had to talk to her boyfriend and his mother. >> My son came to me and asked me that that something was wrong with her. Okay, she's tweaking. She's like doing something with her tongue. She's been up to 5:00 this morning. >> Did anybody put handling? >> No. >> Is there anybody anybody striking punches? >> No. >> Huh? >> No. >> Do they both live here? >> Yes, >> they do. >> That's a boyfriend girlfriend. >> Okay. >> Right. And I I already told her I said you stay up here because he's >> the whole thing. I mean with her tweaking like that my son My son a he can't handle that stuff. So, all we want to talk to him for is just to confirm what you just now said and then we're gonna we're gonna leave. >> Okay. I just I just had to say my word for this girl. >> That's fine. >> I've already talked to her grandpa. He don't even want her. >> As long as her son confirms that there hadn't been any violence, the cops would be on their way. Arguments happen because it's just a part of life. So, as long as nobody got hurt, the cops could just offer advice and issue a warning. >> Did anything happen between you and your girlfriend, China? Like anything physical? You didn't put your hands on her. She didn't put her hands on you >> working this morning. >> Okay. >> No hands. >> That's what That's all we wanted to make sure of. And we're going to leave. Okay. Do you need us for anything? >> Cool. All right. Thank you. >> Don't say anything to anybody right now. Just trying to grab your stuff and then we'll go. Okay. >> All right. Trying to sound while we're here. >> Do you want to go? >> No, I don't want to go. No. Yeah, >> you go down the stairs. >> Okay, hold on a second. >> Your bottom is downstairs. >> I want to talk to him. He's half my >> to everybody. Just hold on a second. >> Can you CAN YOU SEE WHAT HE'S DOING THOUGH AS A MOTHER? >> This is my house here. >> You look downstairs. >> He packed all my He get to be quiet. >> Hold on a second. So, I >> I COULD PUT HIM IN JAIL RIGHT NOW, RIGHT? >> Take you somewhere. Okay. So, the plan was that the cops would wait for China outside while she gathered her belongings and then take her somewhere else wherever she chose. And while they asked China not to engage with her boyfriend and his mother, she just couldn't resist. >> Listen, you don't need to talk to him, okay? Because this is what you do. Please, Clayton. >> Now, he's at the con. I'm telling you. Where's the camera footage? No. Where's the camera footage? >> So, you can't see the camera. >> You can't stop her from going inside here. No, she lives downstairs. >> She still lives here though. >> It's separate. >> Does she have Is this a common area up here? >> This is one level and it's separated from the one downstairs. She's not allowed up here. >> How does she get from outside? >> She goes around to her the door. >> Not allowed to be up on this. >> No, not at all. >> Have access. >> She's not allowed to be up here. >> Have access to bathroom. >> Nothing. It's all downstairs. >> Everything downstairs. >> You don't want this? >> I do not. >> No. because she comes up and pushes me. >> Are we okay with taking her out and preventing? >> I'm not even a child that because >> No. Are you okay if we assist her? >> Yes, you can. >> With the mother's permission, the officers made their way inside to remove China. She could have left peacefully, but she wasn't going down without a fight. As a result, they arrested the woman and she was taken to a squad car. >> He told me I could come in. He told me I could come in. We're not going to hang out at your house all day cuz you guys want to act like children over. You want I could have got hit. Are you serious? taking me to jail when I call the police when I have I have more bruises than you can tell my mommy. >> Okay. Are you going to act right or do we need to hobble you? >> What does hobbling mean? >> Tie up like a >> pig, bro. >> At this point, I don't have >> y'all think I'm playing. I don't have play. If he ever end up doing this to me, I'm going to tell >> where's body camera. >> Then you could get banked and go to jail. >> It changes nothing. While the officer gave her several warnings, she continued struggling with them and resisting arrest in the back of the car. It was just a matter of time before the cops had enough of her and started acting on their warnings. >> Just call back. All I had to do lose was and now I lost. I got >> put one of these on my face. I'm about to take your gun. >> I don't like doing. >> Oh, this what y like doing. >> That's what y like doing. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. That's what white folks do. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. here. >> Yes, >> like people like doing black >> on your neck. >> Shut up. >> Stop your head on the ground. Stop. >> She could resist all she wanted, but she was just making things worse for herself. She was headed to the jail house, fully restrained, and nothing was going to change that. >> Look at my arm, bro. I'm 15. I got I have I'm pretty I'm a pretty fat girl. That's supposed to go on here. The hob is supposed to go right here. >> This is supposed to go right here. >> Talking about landing your head. >> I'm letting you guys know right now. >> Get on your legs like that. Like that. Get your knees on her legs. Yeah, like that. Stop. >> Stop. >> Let go of my shoe. >> Turn. You're being ridiculous, man. You're doing way >> I don't give a I told you >> way too much. >> I told if he ever if I ever leave him, I'm dead. I got to >> [ __ ] I just I just lost my mom last year. >> I'm sorry. >> I don't care. [screaming] I don't have to lose. I don't have to lose. I don't have no family. No, none of that. >> Eventually, the cops managed to restrain the woman from head to toe. She could play the victim all she wanted, but it was her fault she was in handcuffs, and it had nothing to do with systemic racism. >> Stop. Oh my lord. >> This is why This is why I wish we had a double cage. >> At least one double cage car. >> At this point, we should just lay her on the side of the road and wait for transport because she >> she's going to keep hurting herself, I guess. >> What do you think? The only person I had to live for. And now I'm done. I'm getting arrested and I'm the one getting beat on >> that. Like I got purple bruises on my leg. >> China was charged with resisting arrest and battery on law enforcement. On the 20th of November 2024 in New Mexico, the cops were dispatched to an apartment complex after a woman had locked her husband out of the apartment. >> Police department. >> Hello, I'm Austin Police Department. How are you? >> Good. Reason I'm checking, I'm calling the seat. Is everything okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Are you the only one here? Uh me and my kids. >> Okay. Uh Zachariah is not here. >> He's sleeping in the room. >> Okay. He Can I make contact? Can we go talk to him? Cuz he called in to get awake because once he gets up, he's he's like really annoying. >> Okay. So, he he called in saying that there was going to be if he came over here, there was going to be a DV situation is what he reported. >> Something about a broken phone. So, we have to kind of talk to him. The cops just couldn't take the suspect's word for it because like they said, they really had to talk to her husband, Zachariah, to make sure he was okay and hear his side of the story. They clearly had to talk to the man because he was the one who' called police. >> I can't leave until I talk to him. >> Well, I'm not going to wake him up. >> Well, we can we can wake him up. >> We'll wake him up. He He called us. >> Here's the deal. You're kind of obstructing us right now. >> So, I can put you in cuffs and you can go sit at the back of my car and we can wake him up or you can stand right there and take a wake up. I think I have a right to say that he's fine. >> Not in a DV situation. No, >> sure don't. >> What do you mean DV? I'm not even doing anything. >> He called in. He said that you broke his phone. He's unable to call 911. >> I didn't break. >> Okay. But I need to talk to Hey, I'm telling you this is why I'm contacting you. Okay. >> All right. So, it's up to you. Do you want to move or you want to come with us? >> It was hard to grasp what the woman here, Regina, didn't understand. At that point, the cops had given her a clear ultimatum. She can either wake her husband up or go to jail for obstruction. Guess which one she chose. >> Fine. >> Okay. Go ahead and put your hands behind your back for me. >> I I don't think you can do that. I'm still inside my apartment. I'm inside my apartment. Pull me out. Unless I step out. I know my rights. >> Wait. It doesn't have to be like this. All we have to do is go talk to him. upstairs. >> OH, YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK MY ARM WITH THAT THING ON [screaming] THERE. >> YOU'RE GOING TO BE A FAINT. GET ON THE GROUND right now. >> HE'S GOING TO BREAK MY ARM WITH THAT ON MY WRIST. >> THEN be an adult >> and then my arms are going to bruise. >> Then be an adult and step outside. >> I have my rights. >> Be a role model for YOUR CHILDREN. >> BE A ROLE MODEL FOR YOUR CHILDREN. Step outside. >> I told him I didn't want to wake you up. >> Then let HER GO AND STEP OUTSIDE. >> You are going to step back right now. Not. >> You guys are making this worse. >> Yeah, >> she's she's recording. >> You're going to be You're going to be >> pepper spray. We're getting recorded. >> Sit on the couch right now. Everyone's going to be pepper sprayed. >> We don't need to do this in front of the kids, guys. >> Sit down on the couch. >> Please. >> You're going to I have my right. You guys can't just pull me out. >> Yes, we can. >> Yes, we can. >> No, you can't. >> And now you're going to jail. >> No, I did nothing wrong. >> I did not call make the comp. >> I'm going to tase you. Sit down. The man eventually appeared at the door, but instead of doing what he should have and convincing his wife to cooperate with the officers, he joined in on the fight along with their daughter, Dashana. >> My wife, >> it's up to her. More people are coming. So, >> yep. So, we can do this peacefully. You can come out. >> They said my I told him that my husband husband is sleeping. >> Don't do this TO MY KIDS. >> [screaming] >> PUT YOUR HAND THAT TO MY DAUGHTER. [screaming] >> WE'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING. >> Put your hands behind your [screaming] back. >> WE'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. >> YOU'RE RESISTING with what you're doing. >> Why are you guys treating [screaming] us like this? >> MOMMY. DADDY. >> WHY? [screaming] >> Why are you guys treating us like this? were not doing anything wrong. We were just FINE IN THE APARTMENT. WE WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING. >> YOU GUYS, [screaming] [screaming] >> you are now under arrest. >> It was a really embarrassing spectacle to witness. Regina was putting her daughter through hell. If she didn't want her daughter to see her get manhandled by police, she should have settled down and cooperated. And because of Regina's actions, it wasn't just her who was placed in handcuffs. [laughter] Ma'am. Ma'am, I'm going to help you sit up. OKAY. >> MA'AM. >> MA'AM, we're trying to help you. OKAY. >> TRYING TO [screaming] OKAY. >> Do you have any weapons on you? >> No. >> Nothing. Do you have an ID on you? >> Uh, no, I don't. >> Okay. Do you have any tattoos? >> Uh, no. >> Yeah. >> Uh, >> okay. >> I I Okay. Well, you're going to have to hold it for just a minute till I figure everything out. Let's go. >> Yeah, that's right. The entire family got a shiny pair of handcuffs. With Zachariah secured in the back of a squad car, the cops could finally question the man regarding just what had happened. >> The whole reason we came over here and this whole thing started is cuz you went and told your office manager that your wife wouldn't let you in the house and that if you went home, there was going to be a fight and you guys were going to fight. What is going on? >> Uh, we weren't fighting. >> Okay, but why did you tell the manager that? uh the manager uh she's supposed to give us a new apartment. >> Okay. >> And that's the reason why I went over there. And on top of that is because uh my wife wasn't allowing me >> back in. Okay. >> Yeah. >> What did you feel like if you went home? Cuz she was scared that something bad was going to happen. That's why we went to the house. Oh, >> and then we asked your wife if we could talk to you and she said no. >> So to me, when you're telling somebody, hey, something bad's going to happen, and then you go home and then we can't talk to you. Do you see where I'm coming from? It makes me think that something really bad happened to you. >> After hearing the whole story, Zachariah agreed with him that he'd acted poorly, which was a serious understatement. It was clear that his wife had put the cops in a bad position where it was necessary to use force. The cops also found out that Zachariah had a warrant out in Arizona, but he said the cops had him mixed up with his brother, whose name was Zachary. >> I'm telling you right now, if your kids were adults, they'd all be going to jail. >> Do you understand that? That all of your kids were just battering police officers? >> Yeah, >> that's not good, right? For a 16-year-old to feel like she can batter police. >> My my my apologies because she [snorts] should know from the beginning. Mhm. >> And all your little kids. I don't want to be that person to little kids and now we're those people, >> you know, and that sucks. Can I talk to you about something? >> You made pretty big adult decisions today. >> Do you know what I mean by that? >> Do you know what I'm talking about? >> Okay. You hit two police officers. >> I didn't hit the one. I just got pulled. >> No. You hit me in the chest and you kicked a sergeant. You understand? That's those are that's that's big, right? on team. >> So, you're going to juvenile detention. Okay. You're getting booked in on that. >> How long? >> I don't know. >> No, you can't do this to me. I don't want to go. >> It sounded like the daughter was headed straight to juvenile hall. She tried to apologize, but sadly for her, it was way too late. The cop's body cam recorded everything, her kicking and punching, and you name it. >> So, we'll work with you on probation. >> Want to get better from my sister and my brother. >> I agree. But you cannot batter police officers. >> I [snorts] didn't do it to me. >> You understand my camera. >> Sorry. >> I know. But you understand my camera's rolling the whole entire time, right? >> So, your actions have consequences, right? You can't do that. We're not just normal people on the street. And I gave you a lot of opportunity. >> Your mom's going to jail, too, though. All your mom had to do was come sit on steps. That's all I needed her to do. He was He had a warrant. He was going to jail. That's all I needed. I just needed your mom to come outside. >> I did. I did. Before you came around the corner, I had been there for probably about five minutes. And I told your mom to please step outside right there listening. >> Okay. Then how many how many times did I ask her to just step outside for me so we could talk to him? >> Do you think I want you guys in there while we go to arrest him? >> No, I don't want him in there. I don't want you guys in there. Is that a woman? [gasps and laughter] >> The cops tried to talk to Regina, but she refused to say a word. They demanded she identify herself, but she refused to play along. Long story short, the whole family was headed to jail. >> So, last time, what is your name and date of birth? >> Okay, then you're being charged with resisting and concealing your identity. You'll be in jail. >> You're going to go to jail on that warrant. Your social's on that warrant. I have nothing to say that it's not you. It's your name, your date of birth, and your social. >> Um, Regina, is that your wife? >> Yeah. >> Okay. She's going to jail, too, >> for resisting. And, uh, Gana is going to juvenile probation. >> The only thing left to do now was to take them to the jail house. But just before they left, the cops found out Zachariah was telling the truth. In Arizona, Zachary must have given the cops his brother's birth date and his social. As a result, he was released. >> So, you need to call the courts in Arizona, >> okay? >> And get that get your name cleared off of that account >> off that warrant because it's your birthday. >> All right. >> And your social. Don't catch your foot all the way up. Ready? >> Yeah. >> Okay. We're going to walk right to that door. They should be both. Regina was charged with criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and concealing identity. On April 18th, 2024, the cops confronted a man at his home after clocking the man speeding. It should have been a simple ticket, but after the man refused to cooperate, things got way out of hand. You >> know, I'm stopping you. >> Yeah, I was speeding. I'm sorry. >> A little bit. Why don't you pull over right away? >> I'm sorry. I live here. Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> I apologize. What >> you in a rush for? >> No, just trying to get my son here. So, >> your son in the back seat? >> Yeah. >> All right. Do you want to step out here so you're not just digging in your car? >> Yeah, no problem. Sorry. We just got dinner. So, >> where you guys eat? >> Yeah. Getting dinner. >> Okay. Step over here. >> Michael, step over here. >> Yeah. >> Michael, >> step over here. >> Yeah. >> Step back to my car. >> Okay. >> Come on. Get back to my car. >> Get off me. What are you talking about? >> 18. >> Why you acting like that? >> Get back to my car. >> Why you acting like that? >> Get back to my car now. I'm in a tent. >> What the you doing? >> The suspect, Michael, really had to start cooperating or things would get out of control really quickly. Resisting the cop was one thing, but doing it in front of his child was another. >> What are you doing? >> Give me your hand. >> What are you doing, Michael? >> Diane, get your mom. Diane. >> Michael, give me your hand. Man, get back to my car right now. >> What the is this all about? >> I don't know. >> What are you doing? >> Put your hand behind your back. I'm going to tase you. >> Tase me, man. >> For what? For what? >> For what? My son's here, dude. >> Is your problem, man? You really had to hand it to the guy. He took that taser like a champ and it barely phazed him. But unfortunately, he was still unwilling to comply. So the officer had to try a different approach. >> Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground now. >> We're getting anywhere. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Live here. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. [crying] Get on the ground. >> Who's your >> Are you serious? >> Damn it. >> Get on the ground. >> What is this about? >> I'm picking up dinner for myself. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground. >> If the man just got on the ground and followed the officer's orders, he could end the entire confrontation. Deescalating things was the least he could do to make things less traumatic for his son. The longer he stood there defying the officer's orders, the worse things were going to get for him. >> Hey, he's got my handcuff. >> Get on the ground. Turn over for what? >> I told you. >> Roll over. You're going to get tased again. >> Roll over. Tas again. >> Roll over or you're going to get tased again. >> Roll over or you're going to get tased again. >> Roll over. Roll over. >> That's my wrist. >> Roll over. >> Get off my man. >> All right. Watch out. Watch out. [screaming] >> ROLL OVER. >> ROLL OVER. ROLL OVER. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND [laughter] YOUR BACK. >> Put your hands behind [screaming] your back. >> Put your HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. BEHIND YOUR BACK. OKAY. STOP. STOP. >> BEHIND YOUR BACK. [screaming] >> Behind your back. PUT YOUR HAND BEHIND YOUR BACK. WHAT the did I do, man? >> Behind your back. >> Yep. Things definitely got a whole lot worse. By now, he'd been tased multiple times and had no one to blame but himself. It didn't matter if he disagreed with the officer about why he'd been pulled over. He'd been issued an order and he needed to comply. It wasn't up for debate. >> I'm trying to put it back there. >> Not. >> Let go your wrist. >> What the? >> We're fine. We're getting into custody. WHO YOU THINK YOU'RE talking to? >> Broke my wrist. >> Slow down. >> What is your problem? >> Huh? >> Everyone else come here. Slow down. >> Stupid. >> Oh god. >> Okay. >> What is the matter with you? What' I do? >> Tell me what I did. FIRST OF ALL, >> first of all, Jack, >> you keep rolling over on me, we're going to have a problem. You got it. >> Yes, sir. >> Roll side. >> Do not move. >> Why am I being arrested? >> Why am I being detained? >> For obstruction now and FIGHT WITH THE POLICE. >> Michael seemed to think that he was in the right. He reminded the officer that everything was on video, but he failed to realize that it was not going to work in his favor. >> This is all on video. Seriously, guys, look. >> You better stop, man. >> You're talking about the wrong person. [laughter] >> There's one in this belt. So, hang on. >> I have nothing wanted. >> Never been arrested. >> Relax. >> Please >> somebody talking about the wrong person. >> I'm asking you to please stop. >> You're talking about the wrong person. Somebody stop. >> Open that door. >> 17183. >> A small army of police officers had already arrived on scene. And with Michael secured in the back of a cruiser, backup was informed about what happened before they arrived. >> Yeah. So, I stopped him, kept going, pulled into here, and he like jumps out real quick and I'm like, "Hey, come here." And he's like still digging around his car. I'm like, "Come over here." And again, I'm like, "Come here." And I grab him and he like pulls away. We end up going over there and I pop him with my taser. Nothing happens. I'm just like, "Great." >> It's in my It's in my >> Okay. Did you already? Yeah. Okay. >> I stopped him for speed. He tried to bail out. >> No, he What's up? >> Here's his information. >> I have his driver's license. >> All right. >> Where's the kid at? Cuz there's a car in here. >> He's right here. >> Are you okay, buddy? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> We'll tow this, >> right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. We'll stay here. Tow this. Give me that. I'll add um go in talk to our and let Haley and Chelsea handle him for a minute. >> Okay. >> Can you do the impound for me? >> Thanks, dog. >> Talk about taking something minor and turning it into something massive. Let's just hope he learned his lesson and the next time the cops give him an order, he complies. On July 22nd, 2023, the cops were called to a Motel 6. There were complaints from management that a tenant was seemingly drunk and causing a scene. >> Oh, baby. >> You leaving? >> No. Hell no. All right. Well, they just asked you to leave. You need to leave. >> Who? >> The owners. Uh, they send the message. >> No, they don't have to. They came up here in person. >> Let me put it to you this way. If you don't leave, you're going to go to jail for trespassing. >> I just told my daughter. Can you tell her? >> Who? >> It's him. >> Who's him? >> He works here. >> There's no one on that bus. From the moment she opened the door, it was obvious she was drunk. She said she was just having fun and the management was overreacting. But it didn't matter what she thought because the management had the right to trespass anyone for any reason at all. >> Do you not understand what I just said? >> Yes. My room. This is my room. >> Yeah. No, it's actually the hotel's room. >> And they as you asked you to leave. >> You rented it. You did not buy anything. >> I didn't. Okay. >> My boss did. >> Because I have I'm on >> Are you refusing to leave? No. Hell no. >> All right. Well, I'm not Hold on. Stop talking. Stop. Ashley, stop. >> Ashley, if you don't leave now, you're going to jail. >> That's what I'm telling you. >> Get your stuff. You're out. >> Sure. >> I'm not talking to anybody. >> Ashley, you want to talk to your room? >> I need you to hang up the phone and gather your belongings. >> Yeah, y'all booked the room. >> Ashley. Ashley, if you refuse to listen, >> we are going to take you to jail. >> I'm on my knees right now. We told you to get off the phone and get your >> They It's not my >> Okay. You have nothing in there. >> Oh, it's our room on. >> So, you have Do you have any >> He won't let me He won't talk to you here. He said it's it's it's the hotel. It's the island. People like >> Yeah, they don't own the hotel. >> They don't want it. They don't want it. >> What she needed to do was hang the phone up and listen to the cops. Their patience was running thin. And if she didn't get her belongings and leave pretty soon, things were going to escalate way beyond her control. >> Hang up the phone. >> He said her. He said her. >> Get your stuff. >> Hang up the phone and get my stuff. >> Yes. >> Oh, the the the property for our stuff, not us. >> Get your belongings. >> He said, "Get your belongings." >> And I'm telling you, not the person on the phone. >> He's on me. >> Yes. >> He's taking my daughter to ice cream. >> I don't care. >> You don't care. Can you tell them? >> No. No. I don't even know who that is. I don't care. >> It's the man that is the name on the room that you're kicking me out of. >> Ashley, listen to me. >> Babe. >> Babe, I promise. Please. >> I think it's hanging up. >> Please hang up already on >> No. Okay. >> Actually, I'm going to say this one more time. >> Last warning. >> You could tell the cops really meant business. She had pushed them too far. And from this point, there was only one way to go. The cops had a job to do. And the last thing they wanted to do was stand around and argue. >> We're either going to walk away. You can figure out your belongings later. >> We're not from here, honey. >> We're either going to walk away. >> No. We got $1,500,000. >> Why? >> No. It's my daughter. What are you doing? >> WHY? YOU WANT to go down? >> No. I'm not even [ __ ] having it. >> I want my donut for a birthday present. >> All right. >> What are you guys doing? What are you guys doing? It's my birthday present for my daughter. >> Yeah, she's going to slip. For who? >> Stop moving. >> I'm not moving. My pages are Sean Lloyd. [snorts] >> Yes, I'm not from this county. >> Things really didn't have to turn out like this. And if it really was her birthday, she should have acted right and kept things from escalating. But instead of doing that, she gave the cops a reason to take her to jail. Not exactly the kind of birthday you'll finally remember. >> Yeah. Help me. >> For what? For my daughter. Wait, wait, wait. Please, please. It's my daughter's birthday. Wait, wait, wait. It's my daughter's birthday. Wait, wait. No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not a drunk. Hold on. What are you guys doing? What are you guys doing? I'm not even from the state. >> Watch yourself. >> What are you doing, Oh my god. YEAH. DAD, prove it. I'll prove it. I'M I'M TRESPASS. I JUST WALKED HERE. BABY, please tell him I'm >> Sergeant. >> No. >> Get in the car. >> Deon, >> PULL AWAY AGAIN. >> MY DAUGHTER. BABY, I JUST GOT HERE AN HOUR AGO. Sit up. >> Gia, it's her ninth birthday. I'm sorry. Dia, [screaming] >> now the woman was getting completely unhinged. She could fight back and play the victim all she wanted, but in reality, all she was doing was adding more charges to an ever growing rap sheet. Babe, I just booked a hotel room. Babe, [screaming] baby, baby, [crying] please. I don't do Listen to me. I promise. Me and my husband, we come here every weekend >> and we do work. Please, Pride Promise, baby. Please call my husband. >> He knows my husband. Please accident my daughter. Please, we come here every weekend. Please, >> they told me to go swimming with their kids all night. What is going on? >> Well, it was now official. She had completely ruined her daughter's birthday. Next, she was taken to the station to be processed further. And the whole way there, she kept rambling incoherently. >> I took my daughter to a pool and I I'm in the back of a car. This is weird. A country song. >> A country song. Frights. But too bad. A $100,000 million. My auntie and them live in a $50,000 if not $50 million country home. >> Find that country song. Can you find her? Oh, you got a lot to talk about, huh? >> Can you find her? >> So, where'd you take me from? Where did you even pick me up from? >> Where did you pick me up from? Where? >> Where? >> No. >> I'm not even from here. You weirdo. And you're talking about my daughter. My own daughter. When girls are getting traffic, you weirdo. Were you going to trespass me on what family's property? Go ahead. I ain't done wrong. Y'all took me [snorts] >> for what? >> Did you forget? >> FOR WHAT? I didn't pay no rooms or nothing. >> They charged the woman with resisting arrest and trespassing. And she was given 6 months probation. But if you thought she was a little too old to be talking back to police, just wait till you get a load of our next suspect. On the 24th of August, 2023, a cop saw a vehicle approach a stop sign and failed to completely stop. And what the driver didn't know was that the minor traffic violation would lead up to the discovery of a much more serious crime. >> Hello, sir. How you doing? Hello. >> Only reason I'm pulling you over is when you came to a stop over there at Ingman and Halt, there's a stop sign there. You got to make sure you're stopping at the stop sign. That's that little white line that's in the that's in the road. You just got to make sure you're stopping there, not past the stop bar. That's all. >> Oh, okay. Sir, my bad. >> That's all right. Do you have your driver's license on you? >> Appreciate it. You have the registration as well. >> Oh, insurance. >> Where you heading to? >> I'm going to head to the bus stop, pick up a friend. >> Gotcha. Okay. You still living tarpon? >> Yes. >> Well, as they say, so far so good. The man here, Johnny, was cordial with the officer, cooperating, and following orders. So, if things kept up, it would be a routine traffic stop and they'd all go home happy. But you can never be too sure. Nice can turn into a nightmare in the blink of an eye. >> You know what, Johnny? Why don't you do me a favor? While Why don't you leave that Can I I'm going just ask you a couple questions if you don't mind. You mind stepping out here for a second and we'll go over it and I'll get you out of here. I can look at the registry. It's not a big deal. You can leave your paperwork. That's fine. You need your cane to walk or you good? >> Gotcha. All right. We're just going to go back over here for a second. All right. Is the car registered to you? I'll check it in a second. Gotcha. I appreciate it. So, listen. Uh, uh, the the reason you want to come over here for a second. Appreciate it. If you need to lean on the car, do whatever you got to do. What >> where are you coming from specifically? >> Over Greenwood area. >> Yeah. What street? >> Um, >> I know the answer to this question. I'm just seeing if you're being honest. >> What was he? >> You didn't come from South? >> No, >> you didn't come from Las. >> Oh, I was over there. >> So, so Johnny, you got to be honest with me. I feel like you're lying. I feel like you're lying. Okay. >> What did you pick up when you were on Lasal? I ain't picked up nothing, man. I'm just sitting there. >> So, the only reason I asked you is because apparently an officer saw you do some type of hand to hand transaction. So, >> on Las. But you're saying you weren't on Lasal, right? >> Yeah, I was I was over there, but I I sit in my car. I don't even get out my car. >> Quickly, it was becoming anything but a routine stop. Johnny was being accused of buying drugs. If the man came clean, maybe the cop would go easy on him. If he continued lying like that, things were not going to go his way. Who met with you at the car? >> Nobody met with me at the car. >> Nobody. >> So the officer that saw all this is lying to me. >> Yeah, I see. Man, [laughter] >> I got you. Okay. Listen, do you have anything on you or in you? No guns or weapons or anything like that? Johnny, don't go in your pockets if you don't mind. Do you mind if I throw some gloves on? Do a quick search you. Make sure you got nothing on you, >> man. God, man. >> Sweetheart, don't go in your pocket, please. No, no, no, no. >> I don't have >> I know, but we don't want you to go in your pocket. >> What are you messing with? We're doing this. >> You just try to eat it. >> Yep. I think so. Yep. He's trying to eat it. >> Johnny, just open it up. >> Give it up, >> Johnny. Come on, bud. >> Open it up. >> Why are you pulling all this again, Johnny? >> It's underneath. >> You're good. Same thing last time, D. >> Don't put them so tight. >> We'll do it. Quit resisting. >> Take it. Take it loose a little bit. >> Are you serious? Is the same thing that happened last time with you. >> Lean over. You're too old. I don't want you hurt. Lean over. >> As things turned out, the cops knew Johnny well. Trying to swallow his drugs like that was a ridiculous and terrible move. It was not only extremely dangerous, but it also got him one more charge for tampering with evidence. >> Ridiculous. I don't know why you thought you could swallow that. >> Ready? I'm going to stand you up. I'm going to fix these cops. Ready? >> One, two, three. >> You did this. You You're the only one that encountered this entire thing. >> Yeah, but I don't understand. >> What do you mean? What do you do not understand? >> I'm full of core. >> Stand right here. Face the core. spread out the 30th. >> Spread your feet for me, Johnny. I'm going to fix these cuffs. I'll put a second pair on. >> The cops had no idea if he had more drugs on him, so they patted the man down before placing him in the squad car. While they didn't find any more contraband on him, inside the vehicle, they found straws in baggies containing a powdery substance. >> I'm going to have you take a seat. Just put your right Take a seat and slide in. I'm going to have I'm going to check your feet when you're done. >> Sit with your feet out. Yeah. Yeah. Slide your right foot up. So, when was the last time you used >> when was the last time you used >> today? You just snort it and that's it. >> Okay. You're not injecting or any stupid stuff like that. >> Okay. So, when I asked if I could search you, how come you went straight to your left pocket and tried to throw it in? >> Was it? >> All right. So, you knew you had the pocket. So, >> Listen, I don't I'm not I'm not upset about I just I just didn't want you to get hurt or something to happen or you know what I mean. >> Like this here. >> Yeah. >> All accept turn. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. >> The cop didn't have hard feelings against him. He was just really upset that he had to take an elderly man down like that. It was the last thing he wanted to do. But after trying to swallow those drugs, the cop had little choice. Did you try to eat it because you did you know you knew you were going to get a bond or >> Yeah. Come out. >> I got you. >> Okay. >> What this white line they talking about? >> So in the stop line like uh at every stop sign there's a there's a white line that's in the that's in the middle of the road specifically on I'm going to call the officer and double check it. I told you earlier cuz he just told me and then I told you. He said like Ingman and something. So wherever you came off to the south then he cut through right whatever that was. Was it Douglas or something or um you came around bash the basketball courts right there. Apparently whatever stop sign is over there. Guess you sign it. I mean he's right behind you. So I'm going to get with him and figure that out. But obviously I do got to give you the citation for the stop sign. Okay. When the officer said that he failed to come to a complete stop, he was telling the truth. That being said, a citation for a traffic stop was the least of his concerns. Before they went to the jail house, the cop had a few more questions for him about what they found in his car. >> The baggies that you do have there, I mean, there's so many different there's so many different uh baggies and the way they're packaged. Is that just for personal use? >> Huh? the baggies that you do have. >> That's just for personal use. >> Um I don't know where the vehicle in the north area. >> Give me a second. I'll be right back. Uh and you want somebody to come pick the car up, right? Let me see where that guy went. >> You coming back? Johnny was charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence related to drugs, possession of drug paraphern, and resisting an officer without violence. On March 28th, 2024, police officers confronted a woman after reports she had assaulted a store manager and stolen over $1,000 worth of merchandise. >> That's fine, but just if you just stop walking for me, though, okay? Right. I just want to be chill with you. >> Right. I don't do something. They wouldn't let me take >> Okay, but we're talking Jewel, right? >> Yeah. I was going to rob them and I didn't. >> Okay. Well, just hang tight though, girl. Hold on. Listen. >> Hang tight for what? >> Well, cuz you're amp you're you're getting like way too amped up about it. You know what I mean? >> No, I don't. >> Well, then just stop and listen. >> Like, it's as simple as that. >> Coming. I'm so amped up. >> Just stop. Stop. Stop. >> Don't act like I'm not going to stop. Like, I'm not walking away. >> I was walking to your car. >> Stop many times. And I was walking to your car like you asked me to do. >> But I told you to stop many times. So just chill out. So where you at, Juel? >> I was at Jasco. >> What happened here? You okay? >> No, I'm not okay. Thank you for asking. >> I'm asking. >> What's the matter for? It has nothing to do with you. What's the matter? >> Despite having marks on her face, she said nothing physical had happened at the store. She also said that she didn't steal anything, saying she'd left all her loot in the store before she left. But sadly for this woman, the attempted shoplifting wasn't the only thing she was accused of. So the what happened? What they said was that red flag battered. >> I battered you battered somebody. >> I beat someone up. No, I didn't. >> That's what they said. >> Did I? >> I That's what I Girl, that's why I was trying to be chill with you and like figure that out. You know what I mean? >> You said I don't want to get beat up. Who? >> I wouldn't beat you. I wouldn't beat nobody. >> I was going to assure you wouldn't [clears throat] beat me up. >> I know I wouldn't I wouldn't try. >> Where you living at now? >> I'm homeless. >> Homeless. Okay. >> I didn't hit nobody in the face and I wish I would have stole something. So, we just gonna stand here then right there >> for sure. I'm going set this down there and >> you want to check my bag. Make sure I steal >> Yeah, if you let me actually don't look in my bag. >> Why not? >> No weapons. >> Um in there. >> All right. We'll leave it over here then. Okay. >> Okay. Zip it up. >> Yep. That's fine. >> You got a knife in there. >> Can you put the bottle down, please? >> No. You're going to put I'm not going to get caught with a bottle. >> Are you kidding me? >> You said put it down. I did what you asked me. >> You dropped that on my foot. It did not drop on your foot. It's not even by your foot. It's next to your foot. It hit your foot, bro. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Don't. Hey. Okay. >> I was going to throw it off. Stop. >> STOP. >> OH, DON'T you dare. >> I'll put my hands behind my back. Stop. >> I'm not doing your phone. >> No. Stop. >> You're not going to stop. >> I got it. on your back. >> Well, that was dumb because she now just made the whole situation a whole lot worse. The cops couldn't have this woman waving a broken glass bottle around. And since she couldn't keep her hands off it, the cops had no choice but to put her in handcuffs. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You already got a resistance charge. You got this one. >> Put my hands behind my back. Let go of me now. Ouch. Here. >> Just cover. Put a cuff on. Just bit me. Are you kidding me? >> Just bit me. Be careful. >> Stop. Put in jail. >> They double locked. >> No. >> Quit. >> Let go whatever's on that. Let go of that hand. Let go of it. Watch your hand. I got to loosen them up. Oh, you got to loosen them up. >> Not your leg, dude. She'll bite you. >> No, they're not. She's not. No, you're not taking him off. Double accuracy. >> You're fine. No, she's trying to bite you. >> No, I'm not TRYING TO BITE. >> KNOCK IT OFF. >> I'M NOT doing that thing. >> You're just trying to bite HIS LEG IN THE GROUND because you have a head pushed into the ground. I'm not biting you. >> Stupid. Yeah, I bit you cuz why pushing my face into the ground? >> The answer to her question was really simple. They pushed her face in the ground because she kept on trying to bite them. After restraining her, they got her up on her feet and put her in the back of a squad car. >> Hold on. Just hold on. >> Okay. Grab. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Rel side. We need to get her in a car before she gets somewhere. >> Stop. the door open. >> She kicked you. >> Yeah, >> she kicked >> my groin. >> All right. >> Oh my god. >> Three felonies. Congrats. >> Quick. >> Let go. >> Get in the car. >> We're going to put you in the car. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> Get in the car. >> I can't. >> Like the officer said, all she was doing was adding more charges to a wrap sheet. You'd think it would be easy to put a restrained person in the back of a squad car, but with this woman, nothing came easy. The cops now had to take a different approach. Go ahead. >> Pull it tight. >> Put that in there. >> What's your name? >> She's going to bite. >> What's your name? >> You're about to get tased. Do you understand me? >> You going to tase me? >> Yes. Because you're actively kicking THE POLICE OFF. >> NO, I'M NOT. HE WON'T LET me put my feet in the vehicle. He keeps trying to put my >> You don't need to tie my feet up. Hey, don't let me down. >> You keep kicking us so you're getting your >> Let's push her in. >> I can get in. >> You could have closed this door with a whole time >> over the radio. The cops were filled in about the extent of her crimes. They then got in touch with the other officers who were investigating the crime at Juulasco and reviewed the video footage of what happened. And oh, you watch on video? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Why don't you guys when you're done there just come up here and look at her and I mean the description's perfect and then you guys watching the video and seeing her. We're solid. >> Yeah. She's just so combative we can't get out of the car. So >> So we have battery retail. >> And was the stolen items put into the white backpack? >> She they said there possibly might be some in there. A cart full of items like it's over $1,000. >> Oh, where'd that go? >> So she pushed the cart at the final purchase point, battered our victim, and then took off on foot. chill out. Why are you doing that? You're going to >> Why? >> She's bash her head into it. >> Yeah. He's like, I want to >> Let's I'm going to have them hurry up, get up here, solid ID, and then we're going to have battery and felony retail theft there, and then we'll do three counts of Eggbat for here. >> In the back of the squad car, she had worked herself up so much that she was having an asthma attack. So, to help the woman, the cops got her inhaler out of her backpack. >> Just hand it to me. Can you get it from that angle though? >> Here. Can I Let me just help you with it. >> Can I just help you with this? Okay. Let me see. Just here. >> Are you ready? Just Hey, take a breath. Are you ready? [laughter] >> No. >> Okay. Let me know when you're ready. >> Trying to figure out Hey, I'll see you back in. >> I [laughter] got it. >> Okay. Sit back in. >> Like I said, I would have done this for >> No, you wouldn't. >> Yes, I would have. >> Well, don't bite and kick police officers. >> Don't pull me down. You're under arrest for battery on the manager, felony retail theft, and then three counts of aggravated batteries. >> We're hitting us. Move your foot. Move your foot. >> It's moved. >> No, it's not. Move it in. >> It's not in the way. >> I'm not playing your games. >> I'm not playing your game. >> YOU'RE GOING TO COUNTY. SO, PUT YOUR foot in. >> For a moment, it seemed like the woman was going to calm down and cooperate. But looks can be deceiving. And in no time at all, she was back to her tricks, kicking and banging her head on the cruiser door. >> Oh, so you going to grab my feet and you going to grab my hands? They're going to get >> just calm. >> I'm calm down. Cannot let you hurt yourself or >> Okay, I'm not The only way I'm hurting myself is cuz you're holding me down and my wrist. >> I'm not doing nothing. I'm laying here. >> I'm not kicking. I won't kick. STOP TRYING TO SHUT ME UP. THAT makes me go insane. Please don't. Please don't. I won't do nothing. PLEASE. I PROMISE YOU. I PROMISE YOU I WON'T. >> NO, I didn't. It's cuz y'all kept trying to hold me down. Please don't. >> No. I'm going to get angry. Please stop. Please. >> Tell them to stop and I will stop. >> That's the only reason I'm doing this. >> No, you haven't. Listen this entire time with us. >> No, you haven't. >> No, you haven't. >> But we have >> STOP GOING. At least one leg is done. >> Okay. Done. >> Let me stupid. Look, I told you I was s on my own. Let go of my >> They charged the woman with resisting arrest, felony shoplifting, battery, criminal damage to property, and three counts of battery on a peace officer. On September 2nd, 2024, the cops confronted a woman who matched the description of a suspect who had allegedly threatened a store clerk with a knife in a busy shopping district. >> Hey, girl, for me. >> Yes, ma'am. It's up here cigarette or whatever you got. >> I don't have anything. >> I got a warning for what? What? I got a warning. >> Security. >> Can you go talk to make contact? >> You're a backpack. >> What's going on? >> I don't know. You tell me, madam. >> Well, I don't know. We got to call. You pull a knife on somebody and start threatening. How >> can you pull no knife on nobody? No, ma'am. >> Okay. Well, that's not what we're being told. >> Okay. I don't care what they're telling you. >> No, ma'am. >> The woman in question, Jamie Gates, could deny it all she wanted, but the cops knew they had the right suspect. There were multiple witnesses and on top of that, there was video evidence. Acting dumb and playing innocent was not going to get Jamie very far. >> What are you on right now? Cuz you're banging on windows. Uh, >> okay. So, you're just drunk? >> Yes, ma'am. >> You know, you don't do well when you're drunk. >> Duh. Can you get my flower? >> That's a feather. >> I mean a feather. >> You give me a second. Give me a second. Let me get on this property so he can get business going. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Son activated color. >> Try me on my underwear. No, ma'am. NO, MA'AM. I will not. I'm my only son. I will not stop. >> No, ma'am. >> No, ma'am. You just told me. >> Go ahead. Beat me up. Beat me [screaming] up. >> Beat me up. >> Hey, Spencer, bring your car to Treasury in St. George if you don't mind. >> Bring it. BRING ME TO JAIL. >> STOP. >> Bring me bring me. Bring me. She was quickly getting delusional, yelling nonsense at the officers and causing a scene. Next up, they searched the woman before she was escorted to a squad car to be taken to the jail house. >> That was for now. >> No, ma'am. She going to school. No, ma'am. No, ma'am. >> Stop, Jamie. >> No, ma'am. I will not. I'm Timothy. I will not. I will not. >> Can you come get it over? >> Go ahead, Britney. Britney, do it. >> Hey, let him do it. >> No, ma'am. >> Just chill out. >> Kevin, >> no ma'am. You will not touch me. >> Take no. Come on. Get my backpack. >> Really? >> He just spit all over you. Yes, she did. Saw it ran. That's battery. [music] >> That's another charge. >> You want to put the spitter on? >> She's back there now. >> Get my backpack. >> You just got another charge. >> She could spit at the cops and fight all she wanted. But as the cops informed her, all it meant was more charges. And as she refused to sit quietly in the squad car, the cops had no choice but to take desperate measures. Hey, she just came up. >> Hey. >> Hey, Spencer. Hold up. We got her backpack. >> Hey, there's a big knife. Just put it in the back. >> I got it. Here. >> We'll take care of it later. I'll circle it when I get there. [screaming] >> Is she kidding? >> You break that window, you don't get another charge. >> Fine. Fine with me. How many? No ma'am. >> No ma'am. K. >> No ma'am. >> No ma'am. >> No ma'am. >> No ma'am. >> No ma'am. No ma'am. Push her up. No ma'am. Good Jamie. Put your legs down. >> With the woman secured in the back of the cruiser, she was taken to the station to be processed further. And while Jaime headed to jail, some other cops stayed behind to get witness statements. You piece of dare. [screaming] >> I'm sorry. Where's the person? >> He's our only witness. >> And what? Okay. So, he came in. A couple came in. >> A couple came in. So, a woman, a black woman, tall kind of tallest black woman came in with her stroller and I said, "Hi, how are She was shaking and I said, "What's wrong?" She goes, "The woman out there just pulled a knife out." >> And I said, "What woman?" And she goes, "She's out there." So I came out to look and her husband was standing outside. He's medium tall. He's got like an orange shirt on, short sleeve, black pants. Um said, "Yeah, that woman right there in the black sweatshirt just pulled a knife on us." I said, "Okay." I said, "I'm going to call 911 and get the cops here. Will you stay here while they get here so you can" And they're like, "Yes." So she was in the store. I was on the phone with dispatch. So, I was watching her walk around. She came over there and was looking at stuff. She came over here like breaking the window in over here, banging on it really hard. She came over here looking around. I'm sorry. Hang on. She's going to steal something. >> Hey, Spencer, since we just hobbled her, can you just take her to the jail? >> Jamie was taken right to jail and she screamed and shouted the whole way. When her screaming and shouting finally stopped, her behavior just morphed into something incredibly creepy. That's kind of a thing. >> Is that why she was waiting? >> Possibly. We don't have a witness or a witness. >> Oh, for the assault. >> Yeah, they left. They just came in and told them. >> So, she's definitely disordered. So, >> Oh, yeah. I got her for spitting on you, resisting everything else. The still in there? >> It's still connected. I mean, I hid that thing super tight. >> I know. Yeah, I And I even looked at it and went down to >> like you said in training sometimes. >> I'm like there's a one time I go down there. >> I just can't believe he got spit on by her. Like a giant lug here too. It wasn't even like a small spin. I saw it flying in the air. >> Is it on my back? Was it like all >> I think it went in between where it went. >> Look at this. Their eyes don't even when I do the light they don't even their pupils don't even react. Watch this. Watch. That is insane. >> It was a disturbing sight, but of course the cops couldn't leave her in there forever. While searching her belongings, they found credit cards in her possession that didn't belong to her. At that point, the only thing left to do was take her inside to be booked. >> She's looking at you now. So, we've gone from violent to crazy. >> Come on, guys. Dear God, man. Imagine if we went this on our >> that would work. We don't have to. >> Yeah. >> All right. I'm keep >> Hey, just let them know that he's he spit on you so they don't try to spit on them. Jaime was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting without violence, and disorderly intoxication. Due to her previous record, she was sentenced to one year in jail, and had to pay fines and fees over $1,000. What begins as a calm encounter can unravel in the blink of an eye.
