call about a car accident involving a suspected drunk driver when the cops arrived on scene they approached a young woman standing in front of a red Mustang from the look of things she'd struck a utility pole and ended up in the southbound lane facing oncoming traffic sorry give this to your mom shows the date time location who the owner is Mom Lesley and where it was from and she get like this has nothing to do with your mom right now I'm just saying she's a registered owner let her know about the car yeah okay we're going to walk showing you're going to walk to the other side of the road okay okay so few questions about your health is do you have uh anything wrong with you I'm not allergic to anything I have no surgeries I you have diabetes I have no no do you take insulin no do you have anything with your eyes blindness in either eye glass eye um do our contacts no okay although she didn't suffer serious injuries she was still distraught after crashing her mother's expensive vehicle suspicious the young woman might have been under the influence the officer administered a series of roadside tests so I need you to follow the stimulus with your eyes and your eyes only do not she demanded that a lawyer be present unfortunately for our suspect a lawyer does not need to be present to administer a breathalyzer test will you take a breath test yes or no what are my options your options are yes and then we know how much alcohol is in you or you can say no when you say no um there is this part that I got to read to you so you understand what's going to happen next do you want me to read it to you can I can I make a choice after you read it to me yeah sure so if you decide not to take the bread test your privilege to operate a motor vehicle basically a driver's license will be suspended for a period of one year okay or year and a half if you've done this before which I believe you haven't right okay of course not so that doesn't apply to anything that's after that basically mess up my face that you're going to mess up your face yes there's people in there what do you mean if I have to go to The Slammer to the what the jail you are already in jail this is the Patrol when they observed several Vehicles blocking an intersection preventing the flow of traffic as one of the vehicles started doing donuts in the middle of the intersection an officer driving an unmarked vehicle attempted to pull him over the suspect however fled the scene the Air Service Unit watched from above as the suspect tried to evade police [Applause] with a long form obvious one he's nice job all right I'm going try to get this one be as well the suspect refused to pull over swerving and making u-turns between the patrol cars as more and more units join the chase police eventually first the suspect disputed the charge but eventually relented a vehicle's considered a deadly object and when you rev your engine at officers and drive aggressively toward them they have every right to treat it as such what what possessed you to think that you wanted to commit a felony flee to elude to run from us rather than just pull over because you were being a stupid teenager I I didn't try to run I shifted up my gears and then I really thought you're what just rep he said came to me I thought he hit me I thought he did I had my friend I was like check out the window did you hit the car the car we pulled over the side which one my my friend no no no which car did you think hit you the the the little black one yeah M and which one was the first one that Lit you up bigger like joury like you said you said was you you said it was you yeah and I thought at first you might pull over but then you started you started zigzagging then you just took off why didn't you just stop I like I what I'm asking is after you gained control of your car turned it around were able to navigate through all 40 cars blocking the traffic right there and and get out without digging in your car why really did hit what do you mean hit you over with guns what does that mean well I mean like you guys can that guns yeah right so when people flee from us they usually do it for serious reasons I they don't do it because they're just a little 19-year-old who was oh I've never been arrested the suspect agreed that the officer was right typically people flee from the cops because they've got something to hide the officers here had every right to approach his vehicle with guns drawn as they had no idea why the suspect was fleeing or what he had inside his vehicle why didn't you stop at all this might have could have been avoided but no when when you L me up under the bridge I was like I don't I don't understand what was going on oh well you were doing burnouts I lost we were watching you for a while beforehand from the sky just so you know okay you you were doing burnouts and doing donuts in the middle of the road we got all that on video then I come through I lit you up cuz you were in oncoming traffic stopped burning out your tires and that's how I was able to get past all the cars get right behind you I just wanted to know why you didn't stop at some point during that time and say I did I st come on boys right here at the very end when you were stuck in traffic traffic was pretty thick that's how we got my car and park and I stopped okay at the end maybe is that just is that when you finally were like I got to stop I said I told myself yes I got to stop okay I was like I should have done that under the bridge and I told myself to stop right here I put in park to wait for the guy he's still at the I said it's in park I said it parked I said parked I hopped out well there's one good thing about this suspect while he was in serious trouble his attitude and behavior towards the officer were respectful after the officer finished giving the driver a lesson in how not to inter act with law enforcement it's the passenger's turn to answer some questions I mean you'll be free to go um obviously as a passenger in a vehicle you can't uh necessarily have anything to say about what the driver does you know what I mean what' you tell them when when he started fleeing away from the cops where he said were good what do you think about that did you think you guys were good no huh no so what you you didn't tell nothing just couldn't speak of the pH notze yeah youever been in trouble before not else you been in trouble for uh possession oh the petty stuff yeah pretty much um well he's going to deal so the driver Nicholas was charged with a misdemeanor for unlawful racing on the highway and a felony for fleeing and alluding in the end the officers dropped the felony assault charge but at least the suspect took responsibility for his actions which which is something our next suspect never considered on the 18th of January 2022 an officer responded to a call involving a young woman running away from a juvenile home after testing positive for Co violating quarantine rules when the officer arrived on scene he ordered the suspect to stop walking away from him and when she refused things quickly escalated I need you to stop cuz you know what's going to happen there's already like 15 other units out this way so I just need you to stop cuz I don't feel like running after you look at me we're not doing this again so touch cuz the last time you did this you went in handcuffs so just so come back this way no no no don't you that's fine I'm a lot longer than you think you're not going to get my hand off of you on chy no no do not do not don't do it let suspect clearly wasn't planning to comply with the officer's orders after putting her in handcuffs her behavior only got worse to get control of the situation another officer arrived to provide backup then able to talk to the women who were wardens from the juvenile detention center nearby where the suspect was staying she's not getting her away that's what she does she was refusing to quarantine so she has tested positive yeah and she's been refusing to quarantine in her room and she demanded to talk to one of the directors and they were in the middle of a meeting and they said well when she starts doing what she needs to do then we'll come and Sofer and then she decided to leave now was it she walks she knows that we're going to call you guys cuz we have to once they leave the last all attention when when did she test positive H Thursday Thursday so how many days she got retested on Saturday or Sunday I think she just think they just got the confirmation does anyone have so so hold on time out so so she tested positive on Thursday right today is how many days which is how many days five and you retested on Saturday or Sunday because she she she should be the suspect was charged with battery on a peace officer and resisting arrest but unlike our next case at least this one was cut and dry on the 8th of January 2023 in Highland Park Illinois police were called to investigate suspicious individuals seen trespassing on private property when officers arrived they observed a man later identified as Angel standing on the sidewalk and another man Peter in a ditch you're going Peter the second suspect was charged with felony aggravated battery on an officer but his charge was later amended to a misdemeanor battery he was eventually found guilty and sentenced to 12- months probation 6 days in jail and 100 hours of community service on June 16th 2024 in New Mexico police responded to a call regarding a physical altercation between a young teenage couple police arrived on scene to find a young woman who'd been locked out of the house I don't want to talk why don't you want to talk what just hurting for what a heartbreak at 7 six year relationship so it's between you beginning to end what happened today for it to escalate to all of this uh pretty much she just came back to H I don't even know why she came back she came back for some and then after that that's whatever she just went into my room she was trying to have a conversation why things ain't going to like why is it so hard for me to not love her or like get back with her whatever mhm after that that's whenever she got mad because I just kept telling her I don't know told her I was going to deal with this and that's whatever she just or actually our sister came and she asked her if she was ready to go to church and then I her if she like got upet and then she just grabbed the knife or the box cutter and just like said she was about to whatever and then last whenever I grabbed her and I tried take it away she kept trying to switch hands kept telling us that nobody loves her and after that that's whenever they started calling y'all and the young man explained that after he was able to take the box cutter from her she began breaking items throughout the house in response he carried the woman outside locked the door and waited for the cops to arrive to corroborate the man's story officers then spoke to the girl's sister okay from beginning to end what did you see okay well what was going on I went in cuz I guess she was crying to him saying like please delete the pictures I guess he didn't want to delete the pictures and she deleted all the pictures so when that's when she seen the like the knife and she grabbed it and like you're not your thr I like you have your nie and nephew and me and everybody that El loves and cares for you you're not going to take away because your relationship is ending and you don't want it to end I things happen and then that's she's like nobody cares about me nobody loves me everybody uses me let go of me let go me we're not going to let it go of you until you let go of the KN okay so yeah and then let go of it on her own well he took he finally took it out of her okay but she didn't come at anybody with it other than herself yeah just and then she started that's when after after we took it away that's when she started punching everything inside the house well his room and ptiv and broken and stuff so okay so she was punching things but not people yeah did she did you ever witness if she hit him uh she hit him a few times but okay yeah okay that's what I needed okay the girl's sister statement matched up with the man's she also told the officer that during the altercation her sister hit her boyfriend several times with physical abuse being claimed the officer now had to confirm these serious accusations did she she hate me no did she HTE you or was it more me oh so she did because I I was trying to trying at him no you were just staying right there and he came at you and just trying to like get the knife away from you him and my sister were trying to grab it from me and then that's when his brother came in my sister was like call the cop so go get my mom and then that's when my mom him and my sister were holding me down trying to take it away from me and I just kept telling him get off of me get off of me and that's when I bit him on his arm with information that she bit her boyfriend and that she threatened harm to herself with a weapon and caused property damage the cops had enough evidence to place her under arrest and take her to jail who are you calling um my sister okay can you put your phone down oh can I ask why so you're being under arrested for battery against a household member woman with battery on a household member getting into a physical altercation with your boyfriend's one thing but it's a completely different story when a student gets physical with his teacher just like our next suspect on April 24th 2023 an officer responded to a high school regarding a student pushing his teacher after she confiscated his phone during a test when the officer arrived he began by questioning the teacher who was assaulted I'm sorry I was St put on my KS that's okay have a seat have a seat have a seat have a seat so he he comes in late you guys you already have a test going on me MH you tell him where to sit you give him the exam give him the exam and then I mean like he was like this okay he was distracted and I told him what are you doing and then he was um on his phone I was I was bending down closing the the drawer he comes and then um push me and then I was trying to like stop him so you're bending down this I like this oh okay okay so he comes mhm and then push me where' he push you at like on your arm on your head yeah he hurts here okay then I was trying to stop him and then he just grabbed the the drawer and then uh grabbed the cell phone and then he told me I don't play with this and then he just get up grab his backpack in the teacher was visibly shaken by the student aggressive actions it's not every day that a student puts his hands on a teacher as an adult in conflict with a minor choosing how to handle things like this can be tricky but she clearly did the right thing by calling the police okay what you right there did you fall over no because I grab myself from the okay push me hard okay so you go you go to put the the cell phones in the door correct or lock the door and then he that's when he comes up did he say anything at all before before he before and then he said no no and then just get out that was right after you took the cell phone so it was almost all like immediately okay what were you thinking when this was happening what was going through your mind I was taking it on my glass I was doing my job or when he pushed you what what he got it out of guard because I didn't expect that and what did you tell him after that happened did you see nothing nothing just he just reached in the door grabbed his phone and walked out of class was he did he does Greg and them know where he's at right now or no no okay did you tell him anything after he pushed you or was that just did he just pushed you grab the phone walks out he doesn't say anything you don't say nothing no he said I don't play with yeah I don't play with his um and you said every student in there saw it right everybody saw it did anybody say anything at all no they just stayed sitting there okay after questioning the teacher the officer took photos of her arm where the student touched her although she didn't sustain any injuries in the ordeal assault is still assault the teacher told the officer that she wanted to press charges after talking to several witnesses the officer caught up with the suspect and his brother in the principal's office so I had two different stor okay now so what we did at that time is we interviewed Mr Brilliance spoke to there was 24 kids in the class Mr BR brilliant spoke to five of them I spoke to six and we stopped cuz all the stories were all exactly the same here's what the class tells me Happ really they said you were late to class right went in sat down sits there they were taking a test they issued you a test right you still had your phone out at the time I don't know if the timing or whatever but he still had the phone teacher come and get the phone he gives the phone just like he said she's walking up to the front of the class says you guys can come get it 7th period I'll lock him up he got upset said no on the way up there he said n hey I did not that I did not say that time you at the class said I didn't talk to didn't call the teacher that you had made the comment you walk up and that when the teacher was there you didn't he didn't push her didn't do none of that but when they were there he get in there they shoulders yeah so you I'm telling you that I don't please know it's not Mr saying you lying or the teacher I didn't know that's what the kids are saying so like a shoulder check you know what I mean from multiple eyewitness testimonies the student lightly shoulder checked the teacher out of the way before taking his phone back either way this type of behavior should never be tolerated in a classroom setting students need to respect their teachers Authority the young man should be held accountable for his actions and be punished accordingly watch stand up now here's what they're saying she was squatted down like this trying to lock that right and then when you came in turned sideways to get the phone she I didn't I didn't do that that that's that's what that felt like you went over me like like I would have felt this I would have felt that no I did not do that so I have to go by what I know and that's the statements of all the students you understand that again you know like I said this morning wasn't that I didn't believe you or I did believe you same thing with a teacher I didn't just take her word over you so I hope at least you respect that part we spoke to with I got witnesses and we got a bunch of them and all the stories match up do you understand that I don't think it's as bad as she has made it out in my opinion to be but when that happens come see us that's what we're here for you can't take that upon yourself it just doesn't work that way you understand that you are being suspended for inappropriate use of language and for inappropriate physical contact you cannot do that stuff but that carries a 3 to 5 days suspension and cut it down to 3 days I think I count it today as a full day even though you're here you'll be back Thursday morning two days done in a time when disrespect for authorities rampant responded to an altercation in a parking garage when they arrived they encountered a Lippy teenager who looked like he'd recently been in a fight although he claimed he was the victim his action said assault with intent to commit a felony and driving under the influence of alcohol when it comes to minor infractions while Society shouldn't hold teens to the same standard as adults we don't want the cops to let them off the hook without learning their lesson at the end of the day crime comes with consequences and if you're an immature teen who likes to break the rules you could be one step away from a reality check with the cops
