three cases where idiot cops falsely arrested civilians for our first shocking body cam footage we take you to Orlando Florida where a 6-year-old first grader was arrested Yes you heard it right a 6-year-old her crime she had kicked a teacher and was making a disturbance Dennis Turner who was the school resource officer with Orlando PD arrested the suspect put her in handcuffs and threw her in the back of the police car okay she's going to have to come with us now okay K you got to go with them baby girl stand [Music] up okay come over here those for it's for you keep your hands okay come Assessment Center where she was fingerprinted had her mug shot taken and later charged with a misdemeanor finally when the grandmother of 6-year-old Kaa got press involved the Orlando PD took action officer Turner was fired from the job and the public prosecutor announced that charges against Kaa would be dropped no action so far has been taken against the school our second footage comes from Valdosta Georgia where 46-year-old Antonio Smith became a victim of false arrest and Battery Antonio was walking down the road when he was chased by Officer Dominic Henry of the Valdosta Police Department Antonio tries to explain himself but the officers were not ready to buy anything he would say and until it would be too late about about suspicious activity man suspicious activity what where where about they say they got some view that camera they told I told them what I was do Oasis right here next to the I told them what I was doing I was waiting for I was waiting for my sister questioned like this he is completely Cooperative with the police officer this is when Sergeant wheeler Bear Hugs him from behind and slams the poor man to the ground face first as Antonio cries and asks what happened only if he had done this a little earlier poor Smith would not have to go through such torment officer Henry tells him that he was just questioning Antonio when wheeler pushed the longer and that's why he also refused to see the ambulance Antonio Smith already had to Bear the brunt of a grave misunderstanding among the police officers now he just wanted to go home hold on Sir and psycholog iCal trauma Mr Smith initially did not press any charges but after a few months a civil lawsuit was filed on his behalf the city and Valdosta PD ultimately reached a settlement to the tune of $350,000 unfortunately the officers involved especially Sergeant wheeler escaped any repercussions instead he was soon promoted and is currently a lieutenant with Valdosta PD now we take you to Columbia County Georgia where a legally blind senior citizen becomes the victim of unlawful arrest and false accusation the 61-year-old James Hodes was walking down the sidewalk when sheriff's deputy Jamie go stopped him for improperly carrying a weapon the only problem was that the weapon in question was not a weapon at all it was his walking cane hi there out what's this in your back you have your ID or not I do have my ID but you don't need it okay James appears well aware of his rights he asks the officer for a reasonable articulable suspicion this provision of the US federal law safeguards citizens against unlawful search and arrest as provided by the fourth of Amendment of the US Constitution despite seeing that it is a walking cane and not a gun the officer and her Sergeant proceed to unlawfully detain search and later arrest James Hodges all you Des that 77 my C I don't know where his wallet is where's your wallet at sir I don't have a wallet on me okay where's sir you legally bind yes I am okay I had to walk up here in the dark for jury duty which was cancel why aren't you using your stick you don't have all right Mr Hodes was that that hard it's going to to pull this out of my back pocket sure here I'll grab your jacket for you too both officers had extremely unprofessional behavior but Sergeant Harrison's remark you know what put him in jail was straight out of a dystopian novel this kind of attitude goes against the very principles of the US Constitution like free speech Liberty and respect for all citizens both officers violated civil rights and the Dignity of an elderly citizen James Hodges was later booked at the sheriff's office for resisting arrest gladly the sheriff's office took notice of this after widespread public outrage Sheriff Mark Hunter announced that Sergeant Harrison was being demoted immediately and suspended without pay for 7 Days Deputy go was suspended without pay for 2 days as part of their punishment both were also made to take remedial civil rights training
