in May 2019 officer Linley received a dispatch call alerting him that two bail bondsmen believed that Quinton praon a wanted fugitive with two active felony warrants might be in the area Lindley met with The Bondsmen who told him that they had seen a man matching PR 's description walking a dog nearby after taking a cell phone photograph of pran's mugot and verifying the warrant information with dispatch Linley drove to the area where the bondsman claimed to have seen praon Linley spotted Clarence Evans compared Evans to the cell phone picture believed that he was praon and approached him no no no no no the cop first makes up a story about a stolen dog saying that the dog he saw with Clarence Evans is stolen even though the dog was with Evans and his family since Evans was a young boy when Evans sees through the cop's lie the cop tells him that he has an arrest warrant in Louisiana and he needs to go to the police station Evans then understands that it is a case of mistaken identity and due to his color and his braids the officer is mistaking him as someone else but the officer isn't in the mood of listening his name is not qu qu okay let's do this and be done I got no problem CA I got St in front of my house yes I know who you are it's you know what's my name man you sing like you said I'm not going to let you put me in hand please stop stop please stop stop stop my name is not no Quinton you don't even know my name until I got a war we the cop asks whether Evans would like to see the picture of the fugitive Quinton that the police are after Evans initially says yes but when the cops tell him that the picture is in his car Evans refuses to go with him and retrieve the picture yes you want you want show me the picture show me the picture okay just walk that his dog is chipped and they have papers to show that the dog belongs to them and is not stolen you just told me three different names you pulled up on some bulling about I got a stolen dog my dog is tipped I got CH was born okay let me see the ID and then you talking about some in Louisiana then you said my name is quin my is not no quinnn I'm not telling you my name but it's not Quinn I'm not telling you my last name Evans again denies that he is praon and in the ensuing disagreement Lindley obtains evans's wallet forcefully Lindley in a span of about 5 Seconds opens evanson's wallet checks evanson's identification sees that Evans is telling the truth and Returns the wallet sir who are you looking for cuz you say get my phone out of the car then you got him running get my calm down calm down calm down calm down please calm down Lindley and Deputy G drafted an incident report provided it to Evans and left the premises Clarence has sense followed a lawsuit against the cops who mistook him for another black man with braids citing it as an arrest due to racial profiling next up we take you to New Mexico where police officers from New Mexico Police Department are responding to a domestic violence call the only problem is that they are at the wrong house let's see what happens [Music] next Police Department Farmington Polie the officers then ask the dispatch to call the reporting person and ask them to come to the front door call come back come come to the door confirming no one's coming to the door hey firm if you can call the RP back and have them come to the door Armington please it is only at this point that the cops realize that they might be at the wrong address they are seen laughing and joking about this mistake of theirs unaware that it is going confidence Factor don't tell me I'm wrong hey head up as 52-year-old Robert datson comes out of his residence he appears to be in possession of a handgun seeing this the cops open fire shots fired you good you good back up back up back up check yourself check yourself I'm good we're 104 we're going to back up a little bit back up back up back up 104 backing up okay the officers then notice that the suspect is down but now Mrs datson comes out to the doorway who also has a gun with her 418 we have one down at the doorway hey one down I got you covered move move moving let's move out hands up oh my 4108 shots fired again cop shots fir body cam footage also shows Mrs dson seeing the dead body of her husband and crying in disbelief on the this is the Farmington Police Department come out with your hands up open and empty the police officers are then seeing telling another cop what happened they tell that Mrs dat also has a gun with her and shot at them before realizing that they were police we're knocking on the door no one's coming out I hear a metallic like the like a gun cocking me Dylan and Estrada back up the dude comes the door points the firearm at us and then we get in a gunfight and then female comes out of the house and she points it at us as well and is she still inside yes from my knowledge Mrs datson was then surrounded by the police while she was crying she is seen mentioning that her kids are upstairs come to us I need help come to us to us my please come out come on ma' come here come to us come us come to us to help him as Mrs datson comes out of her house the officers call for her to be put in handcuffs despite the fact that she had done nothing wrong get her a c go ask if what his condition is yes sir DS at the scene the police chief of Farmington PD launched an official Complaint after this incident received widespread attention and told the press that what happened with datson was extremely sad and tragic Mr doson was not the subject of the call that our officers were responding to and this ending is just unbelievably tragic I'm extremely sorry that we are in this position the family of the deceased is planning to sue the police department for the use of deadly force datson family attorney sha noram called his death an assassination and called for the officers to face second-degree murder charges claiming that they knew they had gone to the wrong place he also called for the resignation or firing of police chief Steve Hebb all three officers involved in this incident have been put on administrative leave next up we take you to Alam County California where aile lerille and her two daughters were in their car when officers from Alam County Sheriff's Office started an out-of-the-blue investigation without any after logger Vil and her daughter refused to give any ID the cops decide to finally detain her before logger Veil leaves the car she starts to roll the windows down but the officer thinks she is trying to flee the officer then forcefully detains her without listening to any explanations given by logger Veil okay they don't want to listen to us so let's go ahead and detain these two no no you're not going to detain them no you're not going to detain them we haven't did anything we haven't did anything we haven't we have not did anything start the car get out of the car no the window R also illegally search logger veil's car going through her belongings without any warrant a clear violation of her constitutional rights [Applause] a federal jury in the Northern District of California found that the deputies of alam County violated the constitutional rights of aile logger and her daughters aot logger and aile Harge logger EMB breached state civil protections against police harassment the logger Veil family was awarded a massive compensation of $8.5 million for the emotional and physical trauma they went through
